Moisturize Your Hair!

Now that Summer is almost here, we are trying to get some moisture back into our hair. Winter always seems to dry out our hair so let us look at some really great products that will put some moisture and shine back into our hair. First, try washing your hair every other day, rather than everyday. Washing daily tends to dry out our hair. Next, skip blow drying. Let your hair air dry if you have time. If you don't have time, then be sure to put heat protection on your hair beforehand.

Carrie Underwood always looks absolutely flawless from head to toe, and this is how we can achieve her look.

Start with a soft shimmery eye shadow, a champagne color, and sweep the color over the entire eyelid, and go a little heavier on the lash line and directly under the brow. Dust a little under the eye to highlight.
Use a black pencil eyeliner, on the bottom rim of the eye Use the black liner across the lash line making it a little thicker on the outside.
Next use a volumizing mascara and apply a couple of really thick coats.
Then lightly dust a bronzer powder across the entire face.
And finally add some light blush and lip gloss and waalah. Good luck!

How do you define sexy? Us women, we work, go to school, raise children, maintain marriages....and society puts a huge amount of pressure on women to be sexy, to look sexy, all of the time. What makes us feel sexy? Being thin Good hair red lipstick cute pumps Tanning Working out Being in charge day spa a long hot soak and a couple of AA batteries :) We should be able to feel sexy in our sweatpants and our hair in some funky looking bun. Its about how you feel within. Screw the magazines with the airbrushed unnatural looking celebrities. Of course that is unrealistic. Women should do something special for themselves once a week, whether you can afford it or not. No matter what it is, that is special to you. Get a sitter, put off doing laundry, and do something for yourself. This in turn will boost your self-esteem, and give you some time for you. And if your significant other is a self-esteem killer, then drop them immediately, because they're not worthy. That alone will do wonders. Only be with a person who thinks you are beautiful from the inside out. Once you boost your self-esteem, then the sexiness will shine through. Let me know what works for you!

DIETING....

Its that time, time to pick out a new bathing suit...but how to shed the extra weight from the winter, child bearing, overeating, depression or whatever else seems to always have to effect woman's weight. I have tried every diet known to man..... I will not list them all, I wouldn't want to dog someone's million dollar fad diet idea. Bottom line is, over the winter I was weighing in at 165lbs. Ok, that may not sound too bad, but when your short as well, it is noticeable, no matter how much black you wear. SO, I went with Weight Watchers and...LOVE IT! I have shed 30lbs over the past few months, and I feel beautiful again. Bottom line, this diet works, just stick to it, don't cheat, switch to diet soda and water, don't eat unless your hungry. Tell the bad eating influences in your life to dine without you. If you want to lose weight, do weight watchers! It is really the only one that has worked. You cannot starve yourself, live on liquid, afford to buy prepackaged food delivered to your door every meal, live without carbs (you have to have them), etc. Weight watchers you can eat what you want, and its all about portion control. Spray Tan or Tanning Beds???

With Summer approaching, let us get a head start on the tan...

According to the Mayo clinic's website, spray tanning is a safer alternative to the tanning bed, however, it does have its risks as well. DHA being the active ingredient in spray tanning, the risks are unknown if DHA is ingested into the body by the mouth nose or eyes. So if you want to spray tan, maybe you should go lightly around the face. The FDA considers DHA safe if applied to the skin. I have tried this from several different places, and overall very pleased with the tan results. I guess the only downfall for me was the fact that the tan faded pretty quickly and its more expensive. And we all know that too much exposure to UV rays are unsafe and can cause skin cancer and damage to skin cells. So from what I understand, start out tanning for 5-7 minutes to obtain a base tan to avoid burning, and then increase your time. I personally LOVE tanning in a tanning bed, and have discussed it with my doctor....and of course he tells me any tanning in the tanning bed is harmful! So tan at your own risk in a tanning bed or go the safer route with the spray tan, either way, we all feel beautiful with the golden summer glow!
