Last May, we spent our honeymoon at City of Springs owned by Splash Mountain in Laguna. Our original plan was to go to Sundowners in Bolinao Pangasinan but it was already fully booked. So we decided to go somewhere else which is near from us.

It was actually a two-ride away from home but since it was our first time to go there, it took us 4 rides: A jeepney to Cubao, taxi to HM Transport,bus to Laguna then tricycle to resort. It only took us around 2 hours to get there. We arrived at the resort around 1pm. I already made my reservation and deposited 1k 3 days ahead. Upon arriving there,I paid our balance and they were kind enough to let us use the room before 2pm.

Reception Area

The place is quiet old but I like this kind of ambiance, away from loud city, from crowded place. It feels like nasa apartment lang kami.

We get the Deluxe Room. Of course, we booked the room which has queen-size bed but someone called me from the resort that the room was under repair so we will be using a room which has double single bed but we can actually move it and make it as a large bed.

Our room has indoor pool. Upon arriving, since I am very excited, I told the resort staff to open and fill the pool with water. The water was hot since it's from hot spring. The room is large enough "pwede pa tumumbling".It has decent bathroom and cool aircon. An old tv with cable,small ref and a table set. But sorry guys, there is no wifi there. Breakfast is not included, but you can bring any food and drinks that you want with no corkage fee! I love that.

You can order from their menu, but me thinks that packing and buying your food for your whole stay is much cheaper.

The indoor pool which is just around 3-4 feet.

Outside, you can see two big pools, one for adult and one for the kids. You can see the laguna lake at the veranda, which is very nice, the place is very neat! The first thing that we noticed, the lake doesn't produced any stinky smell, the water is very clean. Kudos to the municipal of Los Baños.

After taking few dips at our inside pool and eating lunch we tried the pool outside. Hubby doesn't like the water because it's too hot for him. In the afternoon, we walk around the resort and buy some meryenda, we also went to their recreation area, youths were playing volleyball and basketball.Just like what I said earlier, the town was very clean. We roamed around the old municipal of Los Baños, I am fascinated how clean the town was.

We spent two days and 1 night there. The air condition unit made me shiver, it rained on that night so we weren't able to go the pool so we just watched news. Next morning we took our last dip on the pool, eat lunch, and prepare for leaving.

Our stay was very relaxing. The place doesn't offer beautiful sceneries but for me, quiet place is what I've been looking for when vacationing, where me and my husband could talk about a lot of things, the worries that our wedding day gave us, and the future ahead of us. I don't like crowded places. So I definitely recommend this place if you are not into crowded places. You can go to the Splash Mountain resort which is near the city of springs, it has giant slide and 20-30+ pools.

PRE-NUP PHOTOSHOOT AT LA MESA ECO PARK

Some might think that I already abandoned this blog, well you are 100% correct! This year is the most special for me, because I got married last May 21! Anyway just wanted to share with you our pre-nup photos.

Anyway, bf and I got engaged last year, but the formal proposal with his family happened last January this year.I didn't expect that bf will throw a surprise "pamamanhikan" that day since we were already engaged but then, he still did. Since then, stress started to devour me for the preparation of our simple wedding.

BEFORE YOU POST BAD COMMENTS, PICTURES WERE TAKEN BY OUR FRIENDS, THEY ARE NOT PHOTOGRAPHERS.

I will also share to you how much my outfit was and how to save money in planning your prenup shoot . But of course if you have lots of money then BOOK A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER.

We decided to have our prenup at La mesa eco park. Entrance Fee is P50.00/head (I called them and ask if there's permit needed for photoshoot, the representative said the photographer needs to sign a waiver upon arrival at eco park, but we decided not to since lahat naman ng nakikita namin na nagphotoshoot hindi na nagwaiver lol), and we paid P500.00 for the cottage.

Here's how you can save money if you are on a tight budget:

1. Ask a friend who has a good camera (which loves photography) to become your photographer on your prenup photoshoot.

2. Look for outfit online or at malls, simply choose your theme and match it with your outfit.

3. Search online what usually the poses of couples during prenup shoot. Practice it at home.

4. Look for a park near you or a place which is memorable to you and to your partner.

5. Bring props! Props can bring big difference specially if you are out of poses. hehe

6.Just be natural, laugh and talk to your partner while photographer is taking pictures. Be comfortable.

Since we are being practical, we don't need super magandang picture, yung simple lang pwede na. So here's some of our pictures.

My husband's shirt was from Divisoria. P150 lang bes! And his old shorts.

My dress was from fb online store which I bought around P250.00

Boots were from Payless and costs around P1500

Our first theme was kind of relax and quirky poses. Hence the color shade was blue.

We create the props.

You always need to give your genuine smile. Pretend like, kilig na kilig kayo sa isa't isa kahit na in reality hirap na kayong magpose.

Bouquet was actually for my bridesmaid, which was handly made by me.

Preparations and the wedding day itself should be, not a financial burdensome to overcome but a celebration to bring great happiness to two people.

Caite Couple Watch

BF and I love watches. We've been seeing a lot of couple watches online, but when we saw "Caite" (kai-tee), an affordable brand of watches (not really sure but internet says it's from Japan), we went to nearest mall where it was available, and fortunately, when we went there, Caite has 20% discount on watches if you buy 2 pairs. Steal!!!

Only few pairs were available that time so we ended up buying this pair:

It's a stainless watch, water resistant, quartz movement with chronograph for design purposes only.

I love their packaging, hindi tinipid, it has its own box and watch pillow. There is no manual included in the box, since this kind of watch doesn't need an instruction anyway.

The watch is lightweight, but very prone to scratches. The stainless they use was not high quality, the edges were bit sharp. These watches look expensive upon first look.

Beauty Cosmetics Dianne Brush Set

Ever since I fell in love with makeup, brush set has been on my wishlist for a very long time. I don't want to buy cheap brushes at department stores or those replica ones because I don't want my money to go to waste. So when I had extra money, I decided to buy myself a brush set from Beauty cosmetics.

By the way, last year beauty cosmetic brushes were available at Robinsons Galleria, but after visiting it for 5 times, brushes were always out of stock. I don't want to buy online because I have to pay extra 100+ pesos for the shipping fee (kuripot eh). Then, I went to the Podium since beauty cosmetics informed me that dianne brush set is available there. Fortunately, there is only 1 set and I texted them to reserved it for me. And there I have my very first brush set.

So here's Dianne Brush Set.

Sorry, if some of the brushes are dirty, I did not wash them before taking pictures.

Diane Brush set comes with 12 synthetic brushes, 4 brushes for face and 7 for eye area/eyebrow and 1 for the lips. But of course you can use it whenever and whatever you like.

Size is medium, not too long and not too short, you will have a very nice grip when applying product to your face using these brushes.

Powder Brush - This brush is comparable to artist studio brush from Landmark, but this one is more softer and not scratchy, It blends powder perfectly.

Flat top Brush - Or buffing brush is use when applying liquid foundation.

Stippling Brush - can also be used in applying liquid foundation with very light coverage. You have to stipple it while applying the foundation to avoid streaks and cover your pores.

Angle Blush brush - this angle brush helps you to find the contour of your face. You can use this in applying blush to your cheekbone and contour your face with the help of your bronzer.

Small Angle Brush - this brush can be use in contouring nose, blending eyeshadows reaching the part between your eyelid and browbone.

Large Shader Brush -People with big rounder eyes will enjoy using this shader brush. It can apply enough amount of eyeshadows. But personally, I use this as blending brush.

Blending Brush - but me thinks it is a bullet brush, and almost similar to large shade brush. I don't know why beautycosmetics made these two brushes almost looks the same. But nonetheless, you can use this on your own preference.

Small Blending brush - this brush is a little thinner than usual blending brush. It's perfect for those who has small eyelids.

Flat Shader Brush - this brush can be use in packing eyeshadows, focusing on the eyelids. You can wet this when applying glittery shadows.

Concealer Brush - this brush is a little bit thinner and longer than the flat shader brush. It can be use in applying concealers and highlighting the browbone area.

Brow / Eyeliner Brush - this one is slanted to make eyeliner/eyebrow product application easy. Brush is soft and very much helpful in applying waxy eyebrow liners.

Lip Brush - of course you can use this in applying lip products or even using it as gel liner applicator.

Well, you can use the brush anyway you want. That's what I am doing with my brushes. I am not really enjoying using the small brushes (except for the slanted brsuh) because I am not that good in applying eyeshadows so I usually use the big brushes for my foundation, blush and contouring. I enjoyed this brush set, and it feels like you're a professional makeup artist when you have a complete set. Tehehe.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

I love matte foundation. So I decided to try this foundation from Maybelline since it was on sale the time that I bought it in Robinson's department store. I won't make this post long, so here is my review of the said foundation.

Price : Originally at P499, I got this for only P350.00 together with Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara (review soon). I don't usually buy foundation in malls because you can buy online for almost 30-50% off the srp. But since it was on sale, and I have the chance to choose the perfect shade for me, I decided to try the foundie and found my shade.

Shade: I am not really sure how many shade it has, but I only saw 2-3 shade available in the Maybelline stall, and I am in the shade "Medium 0" (light beige) which I think is the best match for my skin tone. It was really hard to choose the right shade! One of the hardest thing ever!

Packaging: It's heavy and bulky. Unsanitary. You have to dip you hands to pick up the foundation. Use spatula to scoop the product.

Texture: It's mousse so it's thick. During the first month, the foundation is very smooth, then after 2 months of using this, the mousse started to form into granules. I don't know if it is normal.

Coverage: Coverage is light to medium. But I really like the finish because it is matte and can be considered as second skin. It feels really light on the skin and it has smooth finish. But it accentuate dry patches so moisturizing is a must prior to applying this.

Application: The perfect tool to use in applying the foundation is by your fingers. It can melt the mousse while making circular motion. I also tried using buffing brush, it works but it seems like a lot of product goes to the brush. It's a little bit hard to blend.

Staying power: I don't usually apply powder after applying this mousse foundation because it may look cakey if I do. I just blot the excess oil after 3-4 hours then apply powder foundation at the middle of the day, and it still looks good naman. So basically it stays for about 4-7 hours without primer (oily skin) then maybe it will last up to 8-10 hours when applied with primer and powder.

Maybelline has dryer finish while L'oreal looks silky.

Is it worth it?: Yes! This is actually one of my favorite foundation. It feels so light to the skin and it has good coverage. Price is affordable. It can be use as everyday foundation specially made for those who have oily skin like me.

L'oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation : W6

I am investing in good drugstore foundation. Since L'oreal Tue Match has been a topic of beauty bloggers in recent months, I have decided to try it for myself and see if it will work on my oily skin.

The shade I got, unfortunately is 2 shades darker than my skintone. I watched reviews on youtube and read beauty blogs to know what might be my shade is, but still got the wrong shade. I really thought that it will 100% perfectly match my skintone, but NOT!!

Anyway, I am still going to use this foundation specially during summer. And whenever I bought again a wrong shade of foundation in future (lighter) I can mix it with this foundation to achieve my perfect match.

Price: This is being sold at the L'oreal stall in malls for P600 pesos, but I bought this online for only P350.00 only + shipping fee. I saved almost 40% off the srp.

Packaging : The bottle is made of glass but not the fragile one. I mean it's not heavy. But you still have to be careful since it may broke once it fell off on you hands. It doesn't have a pump so be very careful in dispensing out the product.

Shade : Base on their website it has 33 shades available (from Cool, Warm and Neutral undertones). So that's a wide selection to choose from. I have the shade W6 but I do believe that the perfect match would be W3 or W4.

Texture : It's liquidy. That's all. hehe

Coverage : Light to Medium. It's very blendable and buildable. You can layer this foundation but I don't since it's a little bit sticky. It has SPF17 which is nice, and yes it doesn't give you white cast on pictures! It can cover minor blemishes, and pores are less visible.

Application : You can use any brush or tools that you want since the foundation is very blendable (very true to what it claims).

Longevity : 4-6 hours for oily skin like me. But if you have a good primer this might stay for up to 8 hours. Powder is needed since it doesn't claim to beat oiliness. It also transfer on tissues and clothing.

As you can see, it's darker than my skintone.

It also has micro shimmers, but it's not that visible when applied on face. I think the reason why they added shimmers is that, to make the skin glow. I think it suits those who have morena skin.

You have to wait for several minutes to let it set on your skin. Make sure to apply powder on top of it to set it specially if you have oily skin like mine. I still like this foundation, though it isn't smudge proof and it did not match my skintone, the blendability is what I really love about this foundation. Plus, it doesn't give you a white cast. Maybe if I got the perfect shade, I would definitely use this as my everday foundation at work. It will works best with dry skin.

Casio Couple Watch: A178 Gold and Silver

I love makeup, but I also have affection with accessories like watches. Last year we bought couple watch (which doesn't look alike) from Zalora, but since we wanted watches that will suit on formal attire, we decided to buy last January a pair of digital watches from Keeperph via instagram.

Casio A178

These watches are actually unisex. Mine is gold and silver for le bf.

Gold is just plated. Both are shiny and lightweight. You won't have hard time adjusting the bracelets because you can adjust it by yourself with the help of a fork :P

It has crystal display, dual time, alarm chrono and 10 year battery. Of course it is made of stainless steel and water resistant.

The only thing that I don't like with these watches is that, it isn't scratch proof. After wearing it for 2 days I already seen a lot of small scratches around it's display, but it isn't that noticeable. I still love it because it can add elegance to whatever you wear.

Ever Bilena Fierce Red Lipstick

My original plan is to buy a MAC lipstick, particularly torn between Ruby woo and Russian Red, but my conscience told me not to buy it, "kuripot ka! Wag kang bibili ng mac lipstick". hahaha that's why I ended up on buying this instead.

I love red lipstick, but I notice that I don't have that much reds in my lipstick collection, so why not try the red lipstick from Evebr Bilena. My first purchased in this matte collection was the Ever Bilena in Scarlet which has orange undertone.

I am actually planning to get the love that red, but the SA told me that it was oos so opted to this one.

It's Fierce Red. Of course it's matte which I love.

It is a true red with a little bit of blue undertone which is nice because it brightens up your face and doesn't make your teeth appear yellowish.

The picture above looks like a bit of magenta-ish, I don't know why but it is actually a true red in person. Below picture is taken with flash, and I've been wearing the lipstick for more or less 2 hours.

I really love the lipstick. It looks sophisticated. It may be drying to lips (most matte lipsticks do) so make sure to exfoliate it first and apply lip balm prior to applying this.

Overall, I really love this shade. But I still wanted to try ruby woo and russian red, someday I will buy myself one. :) hehe Sana!

Pinlak Falls at Infanta Quezon

The happiest summer will always be spending it with your family! Last May 1, this year, since its holiday, we decided to have our first out of town with the whole family.

We travel 3 hours from Rizal to Infanta quezon. It was a long fun ride since we rode only a tricycle and a single motor.

Have fun and enjoy the pictures I have taken while we are on our way to Pinlak Falls.

From our home we will pass by Rizal towns, such as Binangonan, Cardona, Morong and Rizal, and as we were travelling you will be enchanted by the beautiful nature that you cannot see in urban areas.

What a coincidence, some of our friends spent also their holiday in Pinlak, so it's double the fun! We decided to go to another falls behind pinlak falls, it was a 30-minute walk in rough, rocky road.

We hire a guide since nakakaligaw kapag first time mong magpunta.

They named it "Tolome Falls", naming it after my brother's palayaw. hehehe

And the fun has come to over, we decided to go home around 3pm since it wasn't good to travel at night. We had fun! The cold water washed away the word "summer".

Let us thank God for creating this wonderful earth.

44 Piece Professional Makeup Palette

I sometimes offer makeup service for my friends and cousins. Last year I missed two clients because I declined to have their makeup done, why? Because of lack of makeup tools. So I decided to collect makeup palettes this year so whenever someone ask for my makeup service I am 100% ready and available.

I've been eyeing these 3 online shops which sells makeup palettes, but since I am a "thrifty person" (hence the name of this blog) I compare the prices of their products and find out that the makeup palettes are all the same, except that the 2 online shops only change or personalized the palette to have their online shops name printed on the palette. And Glittergirl Shop offers the cheapest price so I did my first purchase of this 44 piece pro makeup palette to them.

Dirty little secret : I find out that this palette is Singapore authentic or what we all know a replica. The palette that I got from glittergirl shop has "MAC" label on it, but I know that it wasn't authentic. I wasn't actually inform that the product was MAC replica because I have seen the same palette from the 2 online shops which makes me think that it was just a non-brand makeup that they import and have their online shop name printed on the palettes. So yeah, the makeup palette that you will see below is a mac replica, it was actually just the same with makeup palette that was being sold by the other 2 online shops.

But nonetheless, I don't have regrets in buying this palette, because I really need this wide selection of colors i doing makeup look.

The palette has 16 lipsticks - 6 cream concealers - 16 eyeshadows (matte and shimmery) - 3 blushes - and 3 contouring/highlighting powders.

Youcan detache the first palette and put it at the back of the palette's lid.

Lipsticks are not matte, some are very pigmented and some are just so-so lippies. I love using the red shades and the peachy shades perfect for "young-looking" makeup. The lipstick usually stays on for about 2-3 hours.

Cream Concealers

Cream Concealers - I am glad that it contains a lot of concealers. It is very important to have a wide selection of colors since your client doesn't have the same skin tones.

Eyeshadows 1-8

Eyeshadows 9-16

Eyeshadows - Some were shimmery and some are matte. Dark colors are very pigmented. It has fall out but eyeshadow primer will surely solve this dilemma!

Blushes and Contouring powders

Blush - I love the blushes from this palette, they are pigmented. I only wish they add coral-ish shade!

Contour/Highlight powder - It isn't that pigmented but I think it's good enough since contour and highlight should be really just minimal. It's blendable and buildable.

You might not like the artificial scent of the palette but for it's price I still love this palette! I will make a saparated post for the swatches of this palette, so stay tuned!

WET N WILD MEGALAST LIPSTICKS

I purchased these lipsticks last year and ngayon lang ako makakapagpost about it. Well, by the way I really wanted to try these lipsticks since a lot of bloggers have been raving about it, so instead of buying a MAC lipstick I opted for 5 pieces of wet n wild matte lipsticks. I bought different shades, since It is not reasonable for me to buy lipsticks with almost the same shade, I mean what's the purpose? So here are the 5 shades that I got from Makeupholics:

I didn't have the chance to swatch the Cinnamon Spice because it was my friend's lippy. So here's the swatch of the lipstick on my arm. I have yellow-ish + olive-ish skintone.

My friend says that the Cinnamon Spice is almost similar to cherrybomb except it has brown undertone while the latter has red.

Some girls hate the formulation. So here's my take. The lipstick has matte formula so it will help to stay the color on your lips. But if your lips are prone to drying and chapping, you really have to moisturize first or exfoliate prior applying this.

Pigmentation: It's amazing! You won't get the same pigmentation from local lipstick brands. They are true to the colors as what you can see in the tube. It's opaque and it offers different shades from pink - red - plum.

Scent : It seems like not all the lipstick has the same scent, the wine room smells like saliva (ew!) same with my wet n wild lip liners, but the other has candy like scent. I don't know but here is my take, the wineroom is the most easiest shade to apply and the glidiest lipsick among the 5 shades. I think the "thing" that they put to make it creamy is the one that makes it smells like that. I don't know, comment below if you have the same observation.

Formulation : Just like what I said earlier, it has matte finish, but some of the shades glides on better like the wineroom, cherrybomb and spotlight red, I mean they are more creamy and doesn't have streaks or whatsoever unlike the bright shades like the purty persimmon and don't blink pink. It will dry your lips after 2-3 hours but for wineroom it looks okay, but if you will apply lip balm over your lips, the chapping will somehow disappear or becomes minimal. Still, better than Ever Bilena's matte lipsticks.

Staying Power : Magaling! They last for 4 hours with minimal fading specially when you eat. It isn't transfer proof nor smudge proof but they last longer than other lipsticks brand we have here in the Philippines.

Packaging : Well "madaling masira". You can't complain daw kasi it's cheap lang talaga sa U.S.

So overall, the only thing that I hate about these lipsticks is that the dryness and the packaging. But I still use them everday. Specially the wineroom. It is best for work or the thing called "MLBB". I will post next time with additional pictures "me" wearing the lipstick. So stay tune.

Packaging wise. As you can see, the bottle has a pump so it's easier for you to control the product. The bottle is made up of plastic and glass which is not that heavy compared to Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation.

As you can see there the foundation has micro shimmers, but fret not because it doesn't look obvious upon application.

Bath and Body Works in Sweet Pea

- I was able to try this scent last year and bought it online together with VS Love Spell (which I don't like, so I won't recommend it), I got it for only P280.00 (old packaging) but this usually retails for P400-500 pesos at Watsons or online. I love its sweet but not overwhelming scent. This one suits students and office girls who want to smell nice and girly with just the right amount of sweetness!

Body Fantasies in Fresh White Musk

- A friend sent me this and it was love at first spray. I thought it would be like just the cheap body spray that you can buy on department store since this brand is not that famous, but I really love its scent. It is cottony and musky. Best for those who don't like sweet scent. This stays long. Mag-aamoy mayaman ka! Hehe yun bang it lingers on your nose. I am having hard time looking for this body spray, fortunately I saw it in Watson's near us for only P389.00 only for 236ml which will last for 3 months!

- Le bf loves Zen Zest so I tried it and after smelling their impressions of expensive perfumes, I decided to get the D&G light blue. I don't have any idea how does the original one smells like but I love the Zenzest impression of the said brand because it gives you the fresh powdery scent (I'm not really good in describing scent hehe). I've emptied 2 bottles of this and will surely purchase again!

- I am a fan of vanilla scents! So this one is a must try. Nakakagutom! This one is perfect for summer no hilo effect sa byahe! You can't stop smelling your clothes or your wrist once you spray it on. The only downside is that, the scent doesn't stay long, so you have to spray again after 2-3 hours. But still, I love and recommending this!

Hair Products for Rebonded/Brazillian Keratin Treated Hair

Since I have my hair rebonded and brazillian keratin treated, the salon staff recommended me to use Sulfate free shampoo to prolong the keratin treatment that they did on my hair. I also need to use conditioner and hair treatments to replenish the moisturize and strength that my hair lost during several time of torturing it by coloring and bleaching. So I am going to share with you my current hair products which I love.

I will be posting a separated article which will details more about them one by one.

1.) Finnesse Shampoo. Since I am having hard time searching for an affordable sulfate free shampoo, I opted for this one since it is Paraben, Dye, Sulfate Free. It only cost P189.00 (bought at Sta Lucia Dept store). I've been using this for a week and it doesn't lather that much (since it's sulfate free) but it stop the itch on my scalp and make my hair feel so clean.

2.) Rigenol Conditioner - Shout out to Mars Salon for this compliment hair treatment! This may be costly but this do wonders to my hair. It makes my hair shiny and super smooth. I applied this after I shampoo my hair and wrap it with shower cap. Mars and Hair Salon sell this for P1500.00.

3.) Sunsilk Silky Straight Conditioner - I don't know what makes me picked this up in Watsons, but maybe because it is meant for straight hair. I mix this with the Reginol or sometimes applied this after reginol. It's P92.00 at Watson's.

4.)VO5 Anti-Breakage Conditioner - I bought this at Dollar Store for only P85.00 only. I use this alternately with Sunsilk conditioner. It's very lightweight!

4.) Mondes Hair Wax Treatment - I was using this product together with Sunsil Sily Straight conditioner when my hair is not yet cut. I used this almost 2 3 weeks after my hair rebonded to prolong the effect of hair cellophane. I think it somehow expand the cellophane treatment on my hair. Bought this Buy 1 Take 1 at Wastson's for only P105.00.

5.) Vitress Hair Serum - I use this after I washed my hair. When my hair is 70% dry I apply this specially at the ends of my hair strands. It doesn't give you that super oily hair. What I like about this product is that it is non-sticky, affordable and smells amazing. This one is only P89.00.

Upon using the said products for 3 months since I have my hair rebonded and keratin brazillian treated, my hair is still straight and very soft, it also helps my hair to become a little bit shiny.

Both watches are very lightweight.
The straps are made in plastic which is not prone to dirt.
You will not worry that it will get wet every time you wash your hands since it's water resistant.
I also love how it looks when worn.
The size is perfect for me and of course the color is very feminine
but can be incorporate with semi formal outfits.
The Casio HDD has matte finish so it's perfect for men.
Both watches are very easy to adjust.
Both look sturdy.
I only paid P2,190.00 pesos for the two watches + free shipping.

Mars Hair and Salon Experience

I've had my hair rebonded for 3 times since 2009 and all of the salons that I had my hair rebonded didn't satisfy me. Click HERE for my previous rebond history. So last year someone (anonymous) recommended me to have my hair rebonded on Mars Hair Salon which is located in Muntinlupa. I hesitated at first because it is too far away from my place and I am still thinking that time if I will let my curly hair to grow or have it rebonded. So, I browse the internet if I can search a review about the salon but there's still no blog review about it, but it has a lot of comments on SPOT.PH until I found their facebook account. And hey, it has 45k likes ha, it makes me wonder more na maganda talaga ang service nila.

Until last month, June, me and my friend decided to have our hair rebonded on Mars Salon. It took us 4 rides and almost 2 hours to get to the salon. We arrive around 11:30 am which allows us to save some bucks because of their Happy Hour Promo.

(I am not going to give a long details about the salon, since I want to focus on the result and the experience we had there. But you can visit MARS Hair Salon facebook account to know more about their background and their current promo).

The Salon is located at Parkhomes subdivision, Tunasan Muntinlupa. It is a simple and small salon. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. I already set an appointment with them through facebook. Mars Salon is very fast when it comes to answering my queries and giving me the instructions on how to get to the salon, and reminding me about my appointment. Yes, one of the best service a salon can offer.

Choco is my stylist, and Ricky is my friend's stylist. At first, we signed some forms for salon records. Then our stylist gave us the treatment that our hair needs, and the outcome of the treatment.

Since I have super DRY, COLOR TREATED AND BLEACHED HAIR, Choco told me that the outcome of the rebond treatment on my hair is not super straight. The ends will not be the same with my virgin hair. So he needs to apply KERATIN TREATMENT prior to rebonding to protect the hair from chemicals that the rebonding process will do.

My Hair background : I have super thick hair. I have my hair colored last August and bleached it (ombre) last September. It is also curly, unruly, rebellious and dry. It is very chemically treated which leads into having split ends. I am very afraid if what will be the outcome. My hair will truly challenge Choco.

My treatment : Matrix Rebond (P1,600.00 any hair length), Keratin Treatment (P500.00) and Cellophane (Free, Happy Hour promo) + Free Mani/Pedi.

As per Mars Salon, here's what they did to my hair:
1. If the hair was previously chemically treated, apply the Keratin treatment to the areas of concern.

2. Moist the hair and apply the rebonding creme.
3. After 45-60mins, perform a strand test and elasticity test to the hair. Apply the synthesized creme.
4. Wait for 25-30mins before rinsing. Dry the hair after rinsing, blowdry, and iron.

Ironing part, they use 2 kinds of Flat Irons.

With Choco again:

5. Apply the neutralizer and the cellophane treatment.
6. Wait for 15mins and then rinse & wash the hair with a conditioning treatment.
7. Blow dry the hair.

There's too much tugging while Choco is combing my hair. My hair ends is very frizzy because of the bleached part. Honestly saying, my neck hurts a bit during the combing and ironing process.

Oh and by the way, their stylist is not that talkative, but they make fun of my hair because it is very thick. Sabi nga ni Choco "Million Hair" daw ako, and "Bukas pa daw matatapos" bago matuyo ang hair ko. Well, I hate it when stylist make fun of my hair, but truth hurts ika nga. Hehe (well in case you're reading this Choco, don't worry hindi naman ako naoffend, makapal talaga hair ko hehe ).
The staff who is doing the "washing and shampooing has the super gaan hands!Also to ate who is doing the mani/pedi, super gaan din ng kamay.

My stylist had hard time fixing my hair. It is very resistant daw kasi sa gamot. So it took almost 8 hours to finish my hair. And here it is:

Choco did trim my hair, almost 3-4 inches to get rid of the dry ends. Since I have free cellophane, I opted for burgundy cello. We left the salon around quarter to 8pm. Here's the final result:

We arrive home almost 12pm, it was a long ride.

As we all know, the real outcome will show after you washed your hair 3 days after the rebonding process. Here's my hair after I washed it:

You can clearly see that the ends are frizzy and kinky. So I immediately informed the salon through FB to let them know my hair status and they immediately respond to my message. They asked me to send pictures of my hair. After the assessment they told me to drop by to the salon so they can make an adjustment or treatment to my hair. They also gave me a complimentary hair treatment. And that will be a second part of my experience at Mars Salon. I will blog about it next time so stay tune for it.

My Verdict : Mars Salon staffs are very accomodating. They are professional and they really know what they are doing. They are very honest when it comes to the outcome of your hair treatment. They are also very informative about the chemicals they are putting on your hair. Am I satisfied with the result? Choco bought our meryenda the time when we were getting hungry, so thanks Choco!Honestly saying, YES! I am still satisfied even though my hair didn't look so much straight. RESULTS ALWAYS VARY DEPENDING ON YOUR HAIR TYPE. So avoid expecting too much. At least they did not burn my hair unlike the other salons I had been. Mars Salon is by far the best salon I have my hair rebonded. They are professional and they are giving the best they can.

Ever Bilena in Dazzling Orchid

I rarely buy lipstick. As rare as twice a year. lol. So since I've been needing to buy one, I decided to go for this affordable lipstick from Everbilena. This year, I've been liking lipsticks with darker shades. And after I saw this lipstick from MomGoneVain, I decided to buy it.

It's the Everbilena in Dazzling Orchid (they said it was the newest lipstick line from EB).I think it comes with 8-10 shades. It has semi matte and gloosy finish. The lipsticks with white center has semi-matte finish while the transparent ones has glossy finish.

This retails for 95.00 pesos.

Sorry, I've been using the product for so many times before taking pictures.

The transparent thing in the center of the lipstick is the reason why it has a shiny effect. It also the reason why it is a bit hard to make the application even.

I've been having hard time looking for an affordable lipstick with plum'ish or magenta-ish shade, and this by far is the best affordable lipstick from EB.

This lipstick line has 2 finishes, the matte and the glossy. This one is glossy which will prevent you lips from drying and cracking. Approximately it stays on for 4-6 hours (without eating). Sometimes, I want it to look matte so i blot it with a tissue or apply baby powder. This is one of my favorite lipstick as of the moment. I am definitely an Everbilena girl. lol

Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Dusk

Since I can't constantly post an update here on my blog, might as well post once a week instead of abandoning this forever. LOL Much better also if I'll make my post straight to the point so you guys won't get bored when you visit this blog.

So today, I am going to share with you my current favorite lipstick from Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick line. Maybe some of you already tried them, but for the benefit of those who haven't tried it and for those who are looking for a dark lipstick that will suit our Filipina skin tone, this shade is so perfect!

It's the shade DUSK.

A lot of my friends were asking me if what lippy I was wearing on this picture, and it's the Covergirl Smoky + Exel Matte lip cream which requires more time of application. But with this lipstick, less hassle.

This is my current favorite lipstick shade. This makes my teeth appear whiter (I have extremely yellowish teeth :'| ) . This may dry your lips so apply lipbalm underneath this or if you want to remain its matte formula, you can apply lipbalm then wipe it off with a soft cloth or exfoliate your lips prior to applying this lipstick.

This retails for P165.00.

Review on bags: All of the bags looks so expensive. Specially the pink doctors bag, it is thick and you very spacious. Also the black and gray checkered satchel looks elegant. I've been using it as my working bag since A4 docs can fit inside and it is also spacious. The other one (black and blue mini satchel) is quite spacious too, I can put my foldable umbrella inside and my makeup kit. It also has 2 compartment outside which is a nice fit for your cellphone and wallet. I am very much impressed with the quality of the bags.

Welcome back to me! Haha. Haven't been blogging since December last year. Anyways, thank you to those who keep on coming back to this blog even though there's no new post. So to cut that long hiatus, I am now sharing with you my first online haul for this year.

You know how much I love shoes. As in! So when Gold dot announced that they will be having an annual sale, I immediately wait until 12nn to visit the site and buy some shoes. You know that I am a sucker of sale (kuripot much!). So here's what I've got:

Unfortunately, the sizes were too small for my feet, so I gave these 2 pairs to mom and they fits perfectly since mom has 4.5 size of feet. (Why so liit)

I really love this unique design from Gold dot. The plastic strap is so simple yet it looks so elegant when worn. It is also very lightweight. Everytime mom wears this pair, a lot of her friends complement the shoes because they are so cute! 2 thumbs up to the genius designers of Gold Dot shoes.

The other one is this red flats. They are light weight too and the color is perfect. Mom use this to Christian meetings too.

I only paid P500 for the 2 pairs and P80.00 for the shipping fee. They arrived after a day. What a fast transaction, isn't it? Thank you Gold Dot! Will definitely purchase again (basta Sale!) hehe.

I've only tried using few items from Lorea'l brand. I can count on my fingers the lorea'l products that I currently have. I actually love Lorea'l, the reason why I only tried few, is that "they quite expensive for me" lol (kuripot eh). So I am very glad to have this lip product from the said brand. Lorea'l always have the gorgeous packaging of their lip products. Like for example this lip balm that I got from Pretty Thrifty Shop.

Oh, the first time I saw this; it was like, love at first sight! Who wouldn't fall in-love with pink and gold? This kind of color combination and packaging is something that you always want to see in your grooming kit.

Available in 8 wearable shades.

The only downside is that, the lipstick cap is not sturdy enough, as you can see in this picture, it broke. Nonetheless, I still love this!

Scent: Let's talk about the scent. Whenever I have new lip product I am always fascinated with its scent. I love scented lipsticks or lip balms. As for this one, it was like heaven scent! I mean, it has a usual scent of lipbalm but it has something that makes you giggle. I wish I can find a perfume version of this.

Formula: Well, lip balms must be hydrating and moisturizing without the heavy or thick feeling on the lips. This lip balm is super hydrating and moisturizing. There is no matte lipstick that this lip balm can't moisturize, even the excel lip creams! Hands down to its moisturizing formula, it keeps my lips supple, smooth and luscious!

I am not really sure if how much is this product here in the Philippines. It cost around $7.

Covergirl LipPerfection LipColor : Smoky & Bewitch

I got the chance to try this lipsticks from PrettyThrifty Shop.

These came straight from the U.S. This cost around $6, and they sell it for only P299.00.

This shade is called "Bewitch" (210)

This one is called "Smoky" (245)

This is how the packaging looks like. The color shade is located at the bottom of the lipstick.

Swatch:

Bewitch is more on coralish-brownish shade. It belongs to "nude" category since the shade is not bright.

Here is the macro shot. As you can see in the picture, the lipstick has creamy texture because this one is really moisturizing and glides smoothly on lips!

On Lips:

One layer is enough to cover my pigmented lips. Though it's a moisturizing lipstick, it has semi matte finish. I don't really like those lipsticks which are too shiny on lips. So this one is really great!

Here's Smoky swatch:

Smoky has a satin finish. It also has micro shimmers on it but it isn't that obvious on lips. I love using this as a base and top it with a red lipstick or lip cream to have that fall look.

Ony my lips:

Smoky is a bit darker in personal. It also glides easily on lips and moisturizing. I use this together with excel lip creams and they work together perfectly!

I also love the scent of the lipstick. This is my first time to have a covergirl lipstick and I'm glad that it didn't disappoint me.

Ever Bilena Advance BB Cream

BB creams. It's the famous face product among Asian women. Especially on Japan, Korean, China and even in our country. There are many brands to choose from in the market nowadays. Some are budget friendly and majority is in high price range. Honestly, I haven't tried a lot of bb creams. The only one I tried was from Maybelline, and a free sample of Lorea'l bb cream. They were nice but methinks that bb cream is not suited for my skin since I have extremely oily skin.

So I look for something that has matte formula and of course a budget friendly one. And I found one at Ever Bilena. Maybe some of you had already seen or had read some reviews about this. But here's my thought about the product.

I have extremely oily skin and has dry areas which is in the corners of my mouth, corners of the nose and the areas where I have acne scars. Does the foundation covers my imperfection? Keep on reading below to know more.

I am a big fan of EB products. So why not give this bb cream a try. By the way, their bb cream comes in 2 variants. The Anti-aging and Whitening. The Anti-aging comes in a pink tube which has Pink - Undertone. While this one, whitening formula, has Yellow - Undertone which suits me better.

It has only one shade which is the Oriental.

Packaging : The packaging looks simple but elegant with its silver cap. At first glance, I did not expect that it will only cost 198.00 pesos for 50ml. I thought the price would be higher than that. The tube has all the information about the product, such as the ingredients, instructions and manufacturing/expiration date. Even if it comes in a tube, you have enough control onto the product because the hole is small enough so the product won't burst out.

Formula : The bb cream itself, as you can see in the picture has yellow undertone which is a good thing because I have yellow/olive skin tone. The consistency is not watery. You actually need to squeeze the tube to get the product. It has thick consistency so you have to blend it immediately because it tends to dry up fast (you don't want to have cakey foundie right?). Fortunately, this one has matte finish!

Swatch:

Application : If I am in a hurry I usually use my fingers to apply the foundation on my face, it also helps the foundation to melt so i't won't dry that fast. Sometimes, I also use the Artist Studio flat foundation brush but you have to blend it really well, making a patting motion to avoid streaks. But fingers always do the job! You can layer the bb cream, but for me one layer is enough.

On Face :

No primer or moisturizer underneath, just the Ever Bilena BB Cream

Staying Power : Base on my observation, the bb cream stays whole day if you apply powder foundation or setting powder on top of it. I have to retouched at the middle of the day (around 12pm) to remove the oilyness on my t-zone with a blotting paper. I saw some fading underneath my eyes and my acne scars started to show up. If you have dry skin, it is a must to use moisturizer prior to this bb cream. It may exaggerates your fine lines if you dont.

Here is my picture, with complete makeup. I set it with my Maybelline Shine Free Foundation

Tips : Dry or Oily skin, you need to use primer or moisturizer before applying the bb cream. Set it with a powder which is 1 shade darker your skintone. This bb cream gave me white casts on pictures specially on flash photography. But don't overy apply your setting powder because you don't want to look cakey though.

Recommendation : Product always has it's disadvantages and advantages. But despite of those disadvantages, I still recommend this bb cream to those who are in a very tight budget and to those who has oily skin. The Matte finish is what I really love about this product. You just have to blend the product really well, find its matching powder foundation. I actually love this than the Maybelline BB cream.

So that's it.

Shine Bright Like Diamonds

Just sharing with you my current nail polish.

I named this Shine Bright like diamonds because of the chunky glitters on it.

Isn't it pretty? Curious if what nail polishes I used?

You will definitely like it because it is so affordable.

The glitters are actually color gold. Flash washed out its real color.
