Since Kum Hoi is a manufacturing industries,a department call QA or known as Quality Assurance department is needed to keep control of each product machined in order to fulfill the customer requirement. They consist of a group of proffesional worker who have been trained and helped but some student trainees. The daily routine of QA is to support the whole production to ensure quality of the final product.

Kum Hoi industries have 14 highly precision gauges and equipment in producing quality products.

Besides these equipment,QA will supplied a quality assurance check list for each department to make sure every part manufacture will meet the requirement.

There are MANY department you can found when working @ Kum Hoi Engineering Industries.
Their main core of business are manufacturing and export of engineering spare parts.
There are 3 main core businesses you can find here which are sheet metal works, machining part and epoxy powder coating

CNL MACHINING DEPARTMENT

This is a CNL machine. There are 30+ of this machine at this factory.

CNC MACHINING DEPARTMENT

This is a CNC machine.There are 50+ units of this machine here where larger machining works will use this kind of machine.

Both CNL and CNC machine need some programme to be set before any parts can be machining out. Thus we need to learn some basic programming code that is the G-code and the M-code which will help us directs the machine.

Hahaha...is just random post. Just flashing back to the good old memories of my school life!!!

TVB drama is the best!!! That what i can said!!! They keep on producing good and nice drama with the latest Moonlight Resonance(家好月圓) the 2nd series of HEART OF GREED which was the most popular drama in 2006!!! After the the good response by the audience, born this drama MOONLIGHT RESONANCE which keep almost all the character from the 1st series but the story and the change of the personality of the character is what attract me to chase this super nice drama!!! Without a doubt that, those who had watch this drama which is airing now on ASRO ON DEMAND will only praise without critise it!! I myseld too must were surprised with it but it was really nice. Cant wait to watch the next episode everytime...lol. Hope TVB will continue with their effort on producing good drama to us!!!

Concern about the local petrol price

As you know now, the global petrol price has recorded its lowest price, US113 since it went up to US dollar 140 over the past few month!!! Many country have lower the petrol price since it dropped to US120 but our country still does not make any move yet!! Many article from the newspaper mention that, the goverment will review the petrol price according to the global crude oil's price every 1st of the month but why cant they lower the price now. why must they wait till next month??? Anyway...let just hope they will keep their promise!!!

Yesterday come an end in finalizing my timetable for this sem!!! Finally i can free myself from this timetable making which cause me headache for the whole week thinking about it!!! Yes, i'll be taking 5 core subjects plus a lab this sem!!!OMG...5 core subject is sure a heavy burden but i have to bare with it for the time being! Classes have not officially start except for few subjects but next week will be the real journey for me as a 2nd year student. Since i finalized my timetable, my next mission is to find the reference books/notes for all my subject and i still need fews more book b4 completely ending my mission!! That all the reports for now....

The Eye on Malaysia is 60 metre tall portable Ferris Wheel installation at Titiwwangsa Lake Garden Kuala Lumpur!!!
The wheel comprises 42 gondolas and was unveiled in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2007 on Jan 6 2007 by Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi

For those of you out there who missed the opportunity to ride on the gigantic ferris wheel “Eye On Malaysia” in 2007 will STILL be able to do so as the rides have been extended until 31st August 2008.It is definitely a must for people who want to experience a breathtaking 360 degrees panoramic view of the Kuala Lumpur city!Something that you shouldn’t miss!

New sem, new encounter,new headache

Haih... tdy was a misfortune and bad luck day for me... Wake up early in the morning and planned to go for a talk at the Multi Purpose Hall and also in conjuction of the visit by the MOHE to UNITEN. Reach there around 8.30am cz was told by some ppls that we need to arrived by that time but OMG, the Ministry took 3 hours to reach UNITEN!! Damn it, wasted 4 3hours doing ntg inside!! Crap that guy!!!

Fine with that, and i think classes will begin by 2mrw(5core and 1 lab) so many problem are waiting aheads of me but there are many uncertainty of which subject courses i should take yet although i have my timetable arranged!!! Arghhh making the decision is really tough as i do not know which should i take and i need to finalise my timetable by thurs!! OH...plz helpl me to think!!!

End of holz and start of new sem!!

Ok. Actually i do not plan to post it here but i'm having problem with livejournal these fews days!!! Darn it as i have to rewrite everythings here because of the problems in livejournal. Damn it.

Ok. As the clocks show 12am midnite yes, this marks the ends of my 3months holz which began early April. This holz however was not as enjoyable as i thinks and it hard for me to pass my time. It like the time for each day passed slowly with every second keep on moving like a turtle!!! OMG. I think i 'll have to consider of taking a short sem/special sem in next year. Not sure bout it yet!!
Well, i planned to go GENTING together with my uni course mate after my final exam early April but the trip has to be cancel off because of me. Sadly beacause i have to work!!! Sorry guys!!! I worked for 1 month+++ in Metro Millenium, a company which speacialize on electrical and mechanical engineering works!!! OMG, i thought of gainning xperience there but what i gained was just sitting there everyday and print the tender drawing. Gosh, it was a waste of my time a also the paper as each day i think i used uo around 200 A3 size papers!! Can u imagine it?? Luckily for me as i just work there for 1month +++.

In the middle of my works, around end of May, I went to Hong Kong with my family for my summer holz. It was a great xperience for me but it was also a walking nightmare for me! You noe what i mean rite!!! Hahaha. After the trips to HK, I cont my work for the last week as requested by the company.

Next, i enjoyed the outing with you guys such as the ice skating, the hiking, genting trips!!! Although it was a short but thanks all of you who make my holz a wonderful and memorable.It is hard for the time to passed when you think it is boring/sienz and when it is a long break!!!lol There are other outing too but no need for me to mention it here. Once again thanks for all those who spent their precious time/joined/accompany me throughout my holz. Arigato. I know i'm annoying but i treasured the time together with u guys!!!. So sorry for all the trouble i have brought to u guys!!! We will meet again somedays and it was a pity for me for not meeting all of you. Hopefully there are next time and we shall meet again....

Ok... i think i have to end here but here is what i think about my year 2nd!! Haih, i'm a 2nd year student now and my aim for this sem is to maintain my dean list which i have alrd obtain on the previous sem. I know it will be tough for me to walk on but i will try my best. All i know now is there are a tsunami waiting in front of my roads and it is up to me to walk through it...

Tips On pumping Petrol

Tip #1

Only buy or fill up your cars or bike in the

early

morning

when the ground temperature is still cold.

Remember

that

all petrol station have their petrol storage

tanks

buries

below ground. The colder the ground, the denser

the

fuel,

when it gets warmer, petrol expands, so buying in

the

afternoon or in the evening, your litre is not

exactly

litre of petrol.

In the petroleum business, the specific gravity

and

the

temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel,

ethanol and

other petroleum product play an important role. A

one

degree

rise in temperature is a big deal for this

petroleum

business. But the petrol station do not have

temperature

compensation at the petrol pumps.



Tip #2

When you are filling up petrol, do not squeeze

the

trigger

of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look, you

will

see

that the trigger has three stages, low, middle

and

high. In

slow mode, you should be pumping petrol on low

speed,

thereby minimizing the vapours that are created

while

you

are pumping. All hoses at the petrol pump have a

vapour

return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some

of

the

liquid that goes to your petrol tank becomes

vapour.

Those

vapours are being sucked up and back into the

underground

storage tank so you are getting less worth for

your

money.



Tip #3

One of the most important tips is to fill up

petrol

when

your tank is half full. The reason for this is,

the

more

petrol you have in your tank, the less air

occupying

its

empty space. Petrol evaporates faster than you

can

imagine.

Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating

roof, this

roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol

and

the

atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation.

Unlike petrol station, here where I work, every

truck

that

we load is temperature compensated, so that every

litre is

actually the exact amount.



Tip #4

Another reminder, if there is a fuel truck

pumping

into the

petrol storage tanks, then you stop to buy, do

not

fill up.

Most likely the petrol is being stirred up as the

fuel

is

being delivered, and you might pick up some of

the

dirt

that normally settles on the bottom of the petrol

storage

tank.

Honda's new zero-emission, hydrogen fuel cell car rolled off a Japanese production line Monday and is headed to Southern California, where Hollywood is already abuzz over the latest splash in green motoring.

The FCX Clarity, which runs on hydrogen and electricity, emits only water and none of the noxious fumes believed to induce global warming. It is also two times more energy efficient than a gas-electric hybrid and three times that of a standard gasoline-powered car, the company says.
Honda said the new FCX Clarity had a fuel efficiency three times that of modern petrol-powered cars.

The FCX Clarity is capable of traveling about 270 miles before refueling,* a reasonable distance for most people. When you do need fuel, it’s easy and safe to do at one of the designated hydrogen refueling stations in your area. The fill-up only takes a few minutes.

Vehicles that use hydrogen with fuel cell technology instead of gasoline are the cleanest around because they emit only water vapor into the air we breathe. These cars simply do not pollute. They can also use hydrogen from domestic energy sources, reducing our dependence on oil. And driving fuel cell vehicles significantly reduces the amount of carbon dioxide emissions, helping to slow the increase in greenhouse gases.
