Apply for VISA to Portugal In India

Application is applicable in case you are travelling for tourism. This visa is given for a travel period of less than 90 days.

The Embassy of Portugal is pleased to announce the opening of their Visa Application Centre operated by VFS Global Services Private Limited in New Delhi, Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Chennai and Bangalore, Mumbai.

The visa applications are to be submitted at the Portugal Visa Application Centre at New Delhi, Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Chennai or Bangalore. All applications will be assessed by the Embassy of Portugal, located in New Delhi.

The visa applications submitted at the Portugal Visa Application Centre at Mumbai will be assessed by the Consulate General of Portugal, located in Goa.

Where to apply

The jurisdiction of the Consular Section of the Embassy of Portugal in New Delhi covers all India (except the States of Maharastra and Goa and the Union Territories of Daman, Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli) and Nepal for short and long term visa.

The residents of the States of Maharastra and Goa and the Union Territories of Daman, Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli have to apply at VFS Mumbai Visa Application Centre

In the absence of Portuguese Missions in Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, the residents of these countries have to apply to the Embassy of France in Dhaka (for business visa), and Colombo (for business and tourist visa), which represent Portugal.

The long-term national visa (vg. research, study, work and family) for residents of Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka have to be submitted to the Embassy of Portugal in New Delhi.

The Portugal Visa Application Centre would accept applications for Airport Transit, Schengen Short Term Visa (Transit, Business, Tourist, Family Visit, Conference and others) and Long Term Visa (Research, Study/Training, Work, Family Reunion and others), to submit to the Embassy of Portugal in New Delhi. Applicants are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the chances of your application being delayed or declined due to inadequate or incorrect submission of documents.

Please note that you may be required to appear personally in the Visa Section at the Embassy of Portugal for an interview prior to a decision being taken on your application. The Visa Application Centre shall help you to take an appointment for the same.

Foreign National residing in India must submit valid permit to return to India.

The following essentials must be met by all applicants submitting their applications for visa:

• Passport with at least three months validity from the date of arrival back in India

The Embassy of Portugal does not accept additional pages inserted into passports. If you do not have a blank page to which a visa can be affixed, a new passport must be obtained before submitting your application. A single sided page is required to affix a visa but there should not be a valid visa on the back side of that page.

• Relevant Forms & Photograph

Fully completed application form appropriate to the type of visa and with two original passport-size photographs. The applicant has to complete all the points of the application forms clearly and in capital letters. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Digital photographs are not acceptable (Photo Specification)

• Children under 18 traveling without one or both parents or without a legal guardian must provide an affidavit for travel signed by both parents or by the parent or legal guardian not traveling and also a copy of passport's 1st and last page of parent.

HOW TO APPLY

Please note that the following essentials must be met by all applicants submitting their applications for visa.

• Passport should have been issued within the previous 10 years.

• Passport should have at least two blank pages.

• Passport should have at least three months validity from the date of arrival back in India

• Applications are only accepted within 3 months of the requested date of arrival

• Relevant Forms & Photograph: Fully completed application form appropriate to the type of visa

• Application will be accepted only until 10 working days (excluding VFS handling time) before the date of travel. For applications submitted in Mumbai to the Portugal Consulate in Goa, a minimum of 15 Calendar days is required (excluding VFS handling time) before the date of travel.

• As part of the worldwide introduction of the Visa Information System (VIS), All Schengen consulates worldwide will be connected to VIS by the end of November 2015. For detailed Information click here.

Application procedure

The VFS Portugal Visa Application Centres will accept visa applications from all nationals, who wish to travel to Portugal. VFS will submit all such visa applications to The Embassy of Portugal located in New Delhi and The Consulate of Portugal in Goa.

Important note to agents: Please keep in mind that all applications should be handed in minimum 10 working days ahead of the intended travel date, unless extraordinary circumstances are demonstrated and approved by the Embassy. For applications submitted in Mumbai to the Portugal Consulate in Goa, a minimum of 15 Calendar days is required (excluding VFS handling time) before the date of travel. Failure to comply with the application procedures will be met by a warning. Repeated misconduct may result in cancellation of an agent’s authorization.

Note: In case of travel to more than one Schengen country, please submit your application to the Embassy / Consulate where you will be staying for the maximum number of days. In case of equal stay, one has to apply at the Schengen country which is the first port of entry.

Submission of Visa application and collection of passports can be done by the following:

• Applicant himself.

• Travel Agents/Representative is coming to submit the application he needs to carry a photo id of himself and an authority letter from the applicant / company only if the applicant has got his Biometrics recorded for Schengen Visa.

• Third party collection of the documents or passports will not be permitted, except in the following cases:

o Immediate Family Member (that is Parents, Children, Spouse)

o A person collecting on behalf of Government officials if authorized on the Government letter head.

If any of the above comes for passport collection they need to carry the following documents:

1. Original Government ID card

2. Original ICR

3. Original authorization letter from applicant

It is also mandatory to mention applicant’s personal address on the covering letter on which passport has to be couriered. Applicant's passport will not be couriered to their travel agencies 'addresses as directed by the Embassy.

Note*

1. In case of a business applicant, if the applicant wishes to receive the passport to his/her office, then the same needs to be mentioned in the covering letter and the applicant’s office address needs to be mentioned in the courier request form.

2. For application withdrawal cases, the passport needs to be collected from VFS Global only.

Processing time will be approximate 10 working days (excluding day of submission at VFS). For applications submitted in Mumbai to the Portugal Consulate in Goa, a minimum of 15 Calendar days is required (excluding VFS handling time) before the date of travel. Applications accepted at The Portuguese visa application centre will be submitted on the next working day to the Embassy. In case an application needs to be referred to The Portuguese Immigration Service, processing time can prolong. If necessary Immigration Services holds the right to prolong processing time.

Collection of the processed passports from the VFS Portugal Visa Application Centres can be done on all working days from Monday to Friday except on holidays. Applicants can instantly track the status of their application online by clicking on Track your Application or by sending and SMS to VISA (space) PT (space) passport number to 57333. There will be no need to follow up with the Embassy or the call centre to ascertain when the passport will be

1. How to lodge applications

Necessary information about Bangladesh Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)

A PCC seeker has to apply with an application addressing Superintendent of Police or Police Commissioner of metropolitan police.

1. The application addressing SP/ Commissioner will be on a white paper sheet. [Footnote 1]

2. Photocopy of the passport attested by a first class gazetted officer. [Footnote 2]

3. Main copy of a treasury chalan worth Tk 500 in favour of code 1-2201-0001-2681 from any branch of Bangladesh Bank/ Sonali Bank. [Footnote 3]

4. PCC seeker must be the resident according to the present or permanent address mentioned in the passport and the addresses must remain under the jurisdiction of the district concerned or metropolitan police.

5. Those who stay abroad will be able to apply for PCC by his/her relative, and his/her photocopy of Passport must be attested by the officer concerned of embassy/high commission.[Footnote 4]

6. If Machine Readable Passport [MRP] does not bear address, the person concerned will provide photocopy of National ID card/birth certificate/ certificate from ward councillor concerned. Photocopy will be attested by the first class gazetted officer.[Footnote 5]

7. Those who will seek PCC for Spain will have to submit three passport size photos in addition to aforesaid documents to immigration section-3 of the Home Ministry, addressing the Secretary to the ministry.

8. DMP, for its service seekers, will provide a token bearing a serial number and date, and PCC seeker will have to collect the PCC according to the date mentioned in token.

9. The office of SP and Commissioner concerned will provide certificate after receiving the prayer for PCC.
10. Foreigners or people, bearing foreign passport, will be able to collect PCC by submitting aforesaid documents. They themselves or their designated person can submit the documents for collecting the PCC.

The PCC application must be submitted to the SP or Commissioner concerned according to the address mentioned in the Passport. PCC application may be in Bangla or in English but all PCC will be in English and be attested by the officials concerned in the foreign ministry.

2. Applicant must submit the copies of passport which bear the particulars of the applicant and if the passport is renewed, the pages used for renewal will be submitted alongside. Expired passport will not be allowed. If necessary, the authority will ask for main passport.

4. If there is any change in address or police station mentioned in the passport, get it correct in the passport and submit the attested copy of the passport.

There are two ways to apply for a police clearance in Australia:

you can apply online using the National Police Check Online Application Form
you can download the application form so you can fill it out on your computer or you can print it out and complete it by hand and submit via post. Emailed applications are not accepted.

There are seven Indian Visa Application Centres (IVAC) managed by State Bank of India in Bangladesh. These are located at Gulshan( Dhaka), Motijheel (Dhaka), Dhanmondi (Dhaka), Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi.

Holders of Bangladeshi passports who are residing in other divisions of Bangladesh except Chittagong division and Rajshahi division may apply for visa with IVAC, Gulshan (Dhaka) / IVAC, Motijheel (Dhaka)/ IVAC, Dhanmondi / IVAC, Sylhet / IVAC, Khulna. Holders who are residents of Chittagong divisions may apply for visa with IVAC, Chittagong. Bangladeshi nationals residing in Rajshahi division may apply for visa with IVAC, Rajshahi.
Other foreign nationals can apply for visa at IVAC,Gulshan, Dhaka and at Assistant High Commission of India, Chittagong.
There is no visa fee for Bangladeshi passport holders applying for Indian visa.
Other foreign nationals are required to pay visa fee unless they are exempt from payment of visa fee under orders of Government of India.
All persons applying for visa at any IVAC in Bangladesh is required to pay Visa Processing Fee (VPF).

Your Visa application is liable to be rejected if you:-

Suffer from any life threatening contagious disease.
Suffer from mental illness and travelling to India for purposes other than medical treatment.
are addicted to or have trafficked in narcotics.
have been convicted for or have criminal charges outstanding in any country.
have been deported or expelled from any country.
have submitted insufficient/incomplete/ false documents
are found to be in possession of unauthorised travel documents
have suppressed any material information
or any other grounds as in the opinion of concerned authorities that would render the applicant ineligible for visa, not necessarily to be conveyed to the applicant orally or to be recorded in writing.

Conditions for entry into India:-

Your entry into India even after holding a valid visa may be prohibited if the visa was obtained by false representation or by concealment of relevant facts, whether or not you were aware of those facts.
A change in circumstances has occurred between the date of your application and the date of your arrival in India.
An immigration officer can ask anyone to be medically examined on arrival in India, if he considers it necessary.
You must not undertake employment or formal study/research in India unless employment visa or appropriate visa is granted to you.
You must leave India on expiry of the authorised period of stay unless the period is extended by the concerned authority in India.
You must register yourself with the nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in case your stay in India exceeds a period of six months for all categories of visas except medical/ medical attendant visas. For medical / medical attendant visas, registration with nearest FRRO within 14 days of arrival in India is mandatory.

Diplomatic/ Official Passport Holders:
Holders of Diplomatic Passports/ Official Passport Holders issued by Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh do not require visa to travel to India and stay in India up to 45 days

The following categories of applicants may apply for visa online and submit their online visa applications in person or through authorised representative at the High Commission of India, Dhaka between 1000 hrs to 1300 hrs on working days. The applicants must select a date of appointment on online and such applications will be admitted even if the date of appointment falls later than the date of submitting the application at the High Commission.

(i) Officials of Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh travelling to India for official purpose- Their applications must be accompanied by Note Verbal from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh.
(ii) Diplomatic /Official Passport holders of other Countries (who are otherwise required to obtain visa for travel to India) travelling to India for official purpose - Their applications must be accompanied by a Note Verbal from the respective Diplomatic Mission.
(iii) Personnel working in United Nations and other International organisations travelling to India for official purpose- Their applications must be accompanied by a Note Verbal from the respective Office.

কিভাবে আবেদন করতে হবে

১ম ধাপ

অন-অভিবাসী ভিসা আবেদনকারীদের জন্যঃ
সাধারণ অ-অভিবাসী ভিসা টি পরে আপনার ভিসার প্রকারটি নির্নয় করুন। প্রতিটি ভিসার প্রকার যোগ্যতা ও আবেদনের বস্তুগুলিকে বিশ্লেষণ করে। আপনার পরিস্থিতির সাথে যেটি সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ সেই ভিসার প্রকারটিকে বেছে নিন।
এছাড়া ভিসা ওয়েভার প্রোগাম টিও দেখুন। যদি আপনার দেশ ভিসা ওয়েভার প্রোগ্রামে অংশগ্রহণ করে তাহলে যদি আপনি ভ্রমণ বা ব্যবসার জন্য যাত্রা করেন এবং ইউনাইটেড স্টেটসে ৯০ বা তার কম সংখ্যক দিনের জন্য থাকার পরিকল্পনা করেন তাহলে আপনার ভিসা প্রয়োজন হবে না।

২য় ধাপ

এর পরের ধাপে আপনাকে ডিএস-১৬০ ফর্ম টি পূর্ণ করতে হবে। অনুগ্রহ করে ডিএস-১৬০ ফর্ম পূর্ণ করার নির্দেশাবলী টি যত্নসহকারে পড়ুন। সমস্ত তথ্য সঠিক ও সত্য হতে হবে। একবার ফর্মটি জমা করা হয়ে গেলে আপনি আর কোনো পরিবর্তন সেটিতে করতে পারবেন না। যদি আপনার সহায়তা প্রয়োজন হয় তাহলে অনুগ্রহ করে একজন ভিসা ইমিগ্রেশান আইন বিশেষজ্ঞ বা একজন অনুবাদকের সাথে পরামর্শ করুণ। কল সেন্টার আপনাকে আপনার ডিএস-১৬০ ফর্ম টি পূরণ করার কাজে সহায়তা করতে পারবেনা। আপনার সাক্ষাতকারটি নথিভূক্ত করতে আপনার ডিএস-১৬০ নম্বরটি প্রয়োজন হবে।

৩য় ধাপ

আপনার সঠিক ভিসার প্রকারটি নির্ধারন করা হয়ে গেলে এবং ডিএস-১৬০ পূর্ণ করা হয়ে গেলে আপনাকে ভিসার মূল্য প্রদান করতে হবে। ভিসা ফি পেজ –এ ভিসার প্রকার এবং তার জন্য প্রযোজ্য ভিসা মূল্য ইউ.এস ডলার এবং স্থানীয় মূদ্রায় তালিকাভূক্ত করা আছে।
আপনার ভিসা মূল্য প্রদান করার জন্য ব্যাঙ্ক ও পেমেন্ট বিকল্প পেজ টি পড়ুন। এই পেজে বিশ্লেষণ করা হয়েছে কিভাবে আপনার ভিসা মূল্য প্রদান করতে হবে। ভিসার জন্য সাক্ষাতকার নথিভূক্ত করতে আপনাকে একটি প্রোফাইল বানাতে হবে এবং অবশ্যই রিসিপ্ট নম্বরটি আপনার কাছে রেখে দিতে হবে।

৪র্থ ধাপ

এবারে যে পরিচয় তথ্যের দ্বারা আপনি ভিসা মূল্য প্রদান করেছিলেন সেই একই তথ্যের সাহায্যে আপনাকে আপনার প্রোফাইলে লগ ইন করতে হবে। আপনি সিস্টেমের মধ্যে প্রবেশ করলে আপনি আপনার ড্যাশবোর্ডটি দেখতে পাবেন। এখানে বামদিকের মেন্যু থেকে শেডিউল এপয়েন্টমেন্ট-এ ক্লিক করুন।
এটি সাক্ষাতকার নির্ধারণ করার প্রক্রিয়াটিকে আরম্ভ করবে। আপনার যা প্রয়োজন হবে সেগুলি হলঃ

আপনার পাসপোর্ট নম্বর
আপনার ভিসা ফি রিসিপ্ট থেকে প্রাপ্ত রিসিপ্ট নম্বর। যদি এই নম্বরটি খুঁজে পেতে আপনার সাহায্যের প্রয়োজন হয় তাহলে এখানে ক্লিক করুন।
এরপর আপনার ডিএস-১৬০ কনফারমেশন পেজ থেকে প্রাপ্ত দশ(10) সংখ্যার বারকোড নম্বর।

আপনি যখন এই পদ্ধতিটির মধ্য দিয়ে এগিয়ে যাবেন, আপনি আপনার ভিসার প্রকার নির্বাচন করতে পারবেন , ব্যক্তিগত তথ্য প্রদান করতে পারবেন, নির্ভরশীলদের নাম যুক্ত করতে পারবেন, আপনার কাগজপত্র কোন গন্তব্যে পাঠানো হবে তা নির্বাচন করতে পারবেন, ভিসার অর্থ প্রদান নিশ্চিত করতে পারবেন এবং আপনার সাক্ষাতকারের সময়কাল নির্ধারন করতে পারবেন।

৫ম ধাপ

ভিসা সাক্ষাতকারের জন্য নির্ধারিত সময় ও তারিখে ইউ.এস দূতাবাস বা কনস্যুলেট-এ দেখা করুন। আপনার এই সাক্ষাতকারে কি কি কাগজপত্র প্রয়োজন হবে তা জানার জন্য আমার সাক্ষাতকার নির্ধারন করুন পেজটি দেখুন।

৬ষ্ঠ ধাপ

যদি আপনার ভিসা অনুমোদিত হয় তাহলে সেটি আপনি দূতাবাস বা দুতাবাস নির্ধারিত স্থান থেকে সংগ্রহ করতে পারবেন।

সাধারণ কোনো বিদেশী ইউনাইটেড স্টেটস-এ প্রবেশ করতে চাইলে তাকে সর্বপ্রথম যে ভিসা পেতে হবে সেটি হচ্ছে একটি অন-অভিবাসী ভিসা, সাময়িক কাল বাস করার জন্য প্রদত্ত ভিসা, অভিবাসী ভিসা বা স্থায়ী
বাসিন্দা হওয়ার ভিসা হতে পারে। তবে, ভিসা ওয়েভার প্রোগ্রামের মাধ্যমে যোগ্যতা পূরণকারী দেশগুলির নাগরিকরা বিনা ভিসাতেই ইউনাইডেট স্টেটসে আসতে পারেন । সেই সমস্ত ভ্রমণকারী, যারা ভিসা ওয়েভার প্রোগ্রামের অধীনে ইউনাইটেড স্টেটসে আসছেন তাদের অবশ্যই ইলেক্ট্রনিক সিস্টেম ফর ট্রাভেল অথারাইজেশান(ইএসটিএ) সিস্টেম থেকে অনুমোদন নিতে হবে।
যদি আপনি ভিসা ওয়েভার প্রোগ্রামের জন্য যোগ্যতা পূরণ করতে ব্যর্থ হন বা যদি শিক্ষা বা কাজের সূত্রে বা কোনো বিনিময় প্রোগ্রামে অংশ নিতে আসেন বা অন্য যেকোনো উদ্দেশ্যে, যা বি ওয়ান /বি টু ভিসা উদ্দেশ্যগুলির অন্তর্ভূক্ত নয়, তাহলে সেক্ষেত্রে আপনার প্রয়োজন হবে একটি
অন-অভিবাসী ভিসার।
একটি ভিসা ইউনাইটেড স্টেটসে আপনার প্রবেশাধিকার নিশ্চিত করেনা । ভিসা কেবল এই বিষয়টিকেই নির্দেশ করে যে ইউ.এস কনস্যুলার অফিসার নিশ্চিত হয়েছেন যে আপনি কোনো একটি নির্দিষ্ট উদ্দেশ্যে ইউনাইটেড স্টেটসে প্রবেশ করার জন্য আবেদন করার যোগ্যতা অর্জন করেছেন।

অন-অভিবাসী ভিসা সমূহ

অন-অভিবাসী ভিসা মূলত ব্যবহার করেন পর্যটক,ব্যবসায়ী,শিক্ষার্থি বা বিশেষত সেই সমস্ত কর্মিরা যারা কোনো একটি নির্দিষ্ট কার্য-প্রক্রিয়া সম্পন্ন করার জন্য নির্দিষ্ট সময়কালের জন্য ইউনাইটেড স্টেটসে যেতে চান। ইউ.এস ভিসা আইন ও নিয়মাবলী অনুসারে, অধিকাংশ অন-অভিবাসী
ভিসার ক্ষেত্রেই আবেদনকারীকে কনস্যুলার কাছে এটি দেখাতে হবে যে তাদের নিজ দেশের সাথে দৃঢ় বন্ধন আছে এবং অবশ্যই এটি দেখাতে হবে যে সাময়িক বসবাসের পর তারা ইউনাইটেড স্টেটস ছেড়ে যেতে আগ্রহী।

অস্ট্রেলিয়ার সরকার উপকূলবর্তী মানুষদের চোরাচলানের বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করতে এবং অস্ট্রেলিয়ার সীমানা রক্ষার জন্য এযাবৎ কালের মধ্যে সবচেয়ে বেশী কঠোর প্রতিরক্ষামূলক ব্যবস্থা বাস্তবায়ন করতে যাচ্ছেন।
অপারেশন সোভেরিন বর্ডারস (ও এস বি) (Operation Sovereign Borders (OSB)) হচ্ছে, নৌকাগুলো আসা থামানোর জন্য, সমুদ্রের মাঝে অপরাধীদের ঝুঁকির হাত থেকে মানুষদের জীবন বাঁচাতে, এবং অস্ট্রেলিয়ার অভিবাসী কার্যক্রমের অখন্ডতা বজায় রাখতে মিলিটারী-চালিত একটি সীমানা প্রতিরক্ষামূলক উদ্যোগ।

Attention

Starting on December 11, 2013, citizens of Bangladesh will need to give biometrics (fingerprints and a photograph) when they apply for a visitor visa [study permit or work permit]. As of December 11, 2013, there will be a fee for this service. If you apply at a visa application centre (VAC) before this date, you can give your biometrics and get certain application handling services at no cost. Learn more about biometrics.

Before you plan your visit, you should find out if you need a visa to enter Canada. If you do not need a visitor visa, you will still need to meet specific requirements..

Starting between September and December 2013, citizens from 29 countries and 1 territory will need to give biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) when they apply for a visa.
If you need to give biometrics (fingerprints and photograph), and you are applying on paper, please do not mail in your application. Submit your application in person to the visa application centre (VAC) nearest you. VAC staff will check that your application is complete and will confirm that you have paid the correct fees before you can give your biometrics. If you are applying from within the United States, submit your application online.

1. Get the application package

The package includes the instruction guide and all the forms you need to fill out. Download the application package.
Read the guide before you fill out the forms. We will not refund your application fee, so make sure you are eligible for a temporary resident (visitor) visa before you apply.
You must fill out and sign your own form, even if you are travelling as part of a family. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must sign the form.

2. Pay your application fees

If you apply at a VAC, you will have to pay the VAC services fees. These fees are not included in your CIC application fees.

3. Submit your application

Read the application guide before you apply.
You can get help to fill out and submit your application at your nearest VAC. You can also find out where to apply on your visa office's website.
Remember to:

Sign and date the application forms. If you are:
- 18 years of age or older, sign and date in where shown,
- less than 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign your form.
Include the last page of the form, which contains your unique barcodes. It will look like this:

When you apply, you must include:

a valid travel document (such as a passport),
two recent passport photos of each family member (unless you are a citizen of a country that needs to provide biometrics). Make sure these photos meet the requirements.
