So everyone knows the entire internet is buzzing with the looks from the MET Gala and I felt like I should lend a few of my thoughts. The red carpet was filled with black dresses,spikes and dark lipstick. The theme this year was Punk Couture, and like I mentioned via Facebook, umm not everyone does Punk well. The New York based line captured my attention because of the versatility of the collection and most of it is made of silk fabrics. Hello gals and guys! Hope everyone is bundling up this Spring. I had high hopes for this Spring but I am still freezing and today is especially windy. Let's hope I get over the flu this weekend. On to other things, HELLO!!! Sunglasses,Stunnas,Sunnies,Shades whatever you may call it is a great accessory for an outfit, sometimes it just takes the right pair of sunnies to pull the outfit together. Here are a couple of stylish Sunnies for a girl on a budget!

The first pair starts at $2.99, stylish yet nicely priced

I love this pair at $5.80, fierce and stylish! I envision this with a nice pastel colored top and white shorts or jeans, YES!

I think these retro sunnies are going to be hot for the spring/summer season. Very popular and average price at $24.Not bad!

Mirrored aviators have been popular among fashionistas, I have seen it on bloggers everywhere! This pair goes for a cool $17.

This cat eye like sunnies is such a lovely color combo, have a pair just like these! This pair goes for $22.

This reminds me of sunglasses I used to see in the early 90s videos. I am happy this circular style is back. Again very popular right now, I tried a pair on like these before, unfortunately not for me but it is stylish. Bringing back the 90s at $24.

Love these round sunglasses, definitely different and it looks like these were made for you to stand out. Aren't these prefect for Coachella Fest? $18.

Now ever since NYFW. I saw on street style blogs someone wearing snow googles and ever since that, outrageously cool sunnies have been appealing to me! What do you think? $20.

The one and only Marc Jacobs is supposed to be teaming up with one of the best places to buy makeup ever (it's true I get lost in there every time), Sephora! As announced early last year, Marc Jacobs is bringing out a cosmetic line to Sephora. I believe the girls are going to be all over it. They hasn't been much news but it is believed to be hitting the stores in the fall. I wish we were seeing it for spring. I am just overly excited because I know in everything M. Jacobs does is beyond fabulous.I am dying to know the details but I guess i will know by the launch party. Jacobs + Makeup is going to be a hit! Are you excited for it? I know I am.

Upcoming Fall 2013 Trend: Beanies

Happy Midweek everyone, it is the second to last day of New York Fashion Week :(. I hope everyone that attended had lots of fun in one of my favorite cities. I have been keeping up with it all on the internet and it is alot to take in, so much events and wonderful stuff. I've seen some of my favorite bloggers at parties and runway shows and saw photos from street style bloggers. Those are my guilty pleasure during any type of fashion week is to follow street style religiously. So anyway getting to the topic, here I am again talking about beanies!! As we have seen this past fall/winter, beanies have been everywhere and are so on trend. I was hoping for the upcoming Fall and Winter season of 2013 that it would be ongoing and I am happy to say that BCBG proved it during their show. Beanies are here to stay darlings and I am quite happy! Check out the leg warmers? The entire show I was trying to figure out if the models were wearing leather leg warmers which sounds and looks amazing but I can't figure out if it actually is leg warmers that they are wearing. I think that whatever the correct term for it is, I am liking it and I hope to see on fashionistas. Are you excited that beanies are here to stay?

New York Fashion NO-GO!

I was supposed to be in New York for New York Fashion Week but my bus got cancelled because of the great NEMO storm. So it didn't make any sense to go anymore because I would've left the next day and the overlay would make me miss the majority of shows I got invited to, I am bummed I didn't make it to the show, curse you Nemo, but next time I hope September doesn't have some crazy storm. I did watch a couple shows online and I must say Diane von Furstenberg entire show was amazing I would be doing an individual post on her collection I thoroughly enjoyed every piece of clothing and the makeup was amazing as well. Pink/Fuschia lips and hair done up I really enjoyed the entire looks.

My favorite look would be the light brown look, I love it and those shoes(they made themselves) are amazing but looked so hard to walk in. Those goggles are to die for, it completes the look. Peep the necklace on the look to the far left, they also did the jewelry themselves. They were inspired by Street style,art among other things in fashion.

It seems that Nicholas K, stuck to their nomadic, few resources look for their 2013 Fall/Winter collection. I loved it! I love the feel of being fashionable without looking like you tried too hard to get the look. That is how I felt with this collection. It looked amazing coming down the runway. I'm the type of girl who rarely wears dark colors in the winter so it was refreshing to see that their collection was not dark and grim. Their futuristic collection is definitely on trend for what the guy and girl is looking for coming in Fall 2013.

New York Fashion Week: All Aboard!!

Hello guys and gals! New York Fashion Week is quickly approaching, we are a week away from fabulous runways,street styles,bloggers,photographers and the top fashion people in the world! February 7th through the 14th is going to be mass fashion chaos in the city of New York, one of my favorite places to visit. Pre-NYC parties have already started,fashion week is in the air. I am supposed to be in New York on February 8th,9th and 10th, I wasn't going but I am in the midst of finalizing some things and hopefully getting some invites. I have one show that I am for sure going to be at, yay go me! I am also excited to see bloggers, gosh the city is sure going to be crawling with some of my FAVS! So how many of you are going? Let me know, I would love to meet up for lunch,brunch or whatever it may be. I would be staying in the heart of the city, super excited for that too! I've always been in Brooklyn and traveled back and fourth or Jersey, and being outside the city can be a hassle. I will be taking taxis because I doubt it would be convenient otherwise and I know my way above the ground rather than below. Knowing myself I'll end up in Queens using the subway/trains. Which designers are you excited to see during NYFW? Looking forward to any collections?

Fun and frivolity at Fashion’s Night Out

With cocktails flowing and canapés disappearing at an alarming rate, girls

with inscrutable taste and vertiginous heels arrived like a style tsunami during

Vogue’s Fashion Night Out in London a few weeks ago.

The event, which is seen as the sartorial equivalent of Christmas, saw luxury

boutiques throughout London play host to the public – with a sprinkling of

celebrities thrown in – to showcase their wares and entertain crowds late into

the evening. DJs, musicians, break-dancers and a number of unpredictable

acts came to celebrate the art of shopping: whether browsing, buying,

or simply enjoying the experience with friends, there was a real sense of

community and camaraderie about it all.

From Manhattan to Milan, Atlanta to Australia, the after-hours extravaganza

celebrated its fourth year running, and it was certainly done with style. The

streets were alive with music, from Delilah performing her solo set at Topshop

to Labrinth at Emporio Armani’s Secret Garden Party.

Music and fashion were joined in time-honoured style by celebrities. Mulberry

on Bond Street alone hosted Manolo Blahnik, Christopher Kane, Daisy Lowe

and Erdem, to name a few. And no wonder – how could anyone refuse the

oysters and champagne on offer?

The night’s excitement was partly due to the sheer diversity of attractions:

Alexander McQueen’s special prize draw, Radley’s adorable Scottie dogs,

I had a great time attending the event put on by Producers Domonique Revere-Lincoln of Empress Lingerie and Colleen Stovall of shortCurvyFIERCE. I am so happy that an event like this was held in Philly. I hope there are many more to come. It was truly a blast. I met so many great influential women in the industry. There were the top ladies there and it was great seeing many people that I admire. Those ladies did a phenomenal job!
