Wedding Troop

2026-04-04T10:30:10.375-07:00

Had a request for a couple that wanted a Star Wars based wedding. we showed up at the scene.

The bride also expressed her love for scouts...

No, we didn't elope... lol.

Christmas Troop

2025-11-24T11:31:00.000-08:00

Just recently did a weekend troop for a local con. Been a while since I've worn the old TK but everyone who attended loved our presence. Thanks to my friend Mike who managed to bring some festive cheer with his outfit.

All in all a good time.

Megazone 23 Part I

2025-11-19T13:09:00.000-08:00

Megazone 23 (メガゾーン23) Artmic/ AIC 1985

Megazone 23 is a story created by Noboru Ishiguro that follows the premise that the entire world is actually part of a government conspiracy to manipulate reality.

Our story begins in Tokyo during the 1980's where a young man named Shogo Yahagi while joyriding on his bike tries to evade a bike patrol officer and almost runs into a young girl named Yui Takanaka.

After some playful banter Shogo convinces the young girl to give her a ride to work and a budding romance begins.

Shogo

Yui

As Yui goes about her day we see Shogo out having a good time amongst his friends, establishing a carefree lifestyle, with just a hint of youth rebellion.

The scene is a typical look at Tokyo during the 1980's establishing the economic boom and influence that Japan had experiened during that time period.

When strolling about town we are introduced to Eve Tokimasuri, a popular idol singer with a reclusive personality, who later becomes essential to the plot.

(This is a bit of an awkward introduction to the character... maybe I'll polish this up with something later before the article goes to print... or not...)

Eve

Later in the evening, our protagonist has a meeting with his friend Shinji, who shows him an experimental prototype motorcycle of unknown design.

Shinji

When Shogo asks about the vehicle Shinji replies that he "borrowed it" from his company. Apparently he was chosen to be it's test driver and he has reservations about being the program it was designed for.

Da-da-dum!!!

B.D.

As he explains his situation several armed men appear and ask Shinji to come with them.

The two create a distraction, and Shogo escapes with the mystery bike, unfortunately Shinji loses his life in the process.

From this point he is dragged into a conspiracy as he is pursued by government forces led by military leader BD, and he learns more and faces the facts that challenges the reality of the world around him.

Shogo realises that the Garland prototype is a transformable mecha and that Bahamuto is a super computer that runs the program, Eve.

He learns that his world is a giant space ship harbouring refugees from the planet Earth and that society is controlled into believing that they are living in the 1980's.

Hey! She's talkin' bout the bike!!!

Megazone is important in anime history for being the one of the features that introduced the OVA (Original Video Animation). Not the first mind you, that honour goes to Moon Station Dallos, but it was the first best selling production for it's time.

Character designers Toshino Hirano and Haruhiko Mikimoto brought their talents to the sci fi production.

Check out this extensive and excellent video by Mercury Falcon.

Man, they did Kamen Rider dirty.

Stormtrooper Black Series Helmet

2025-10-19T06:32:00.000-07:00

Found a Black Series helmet at a local toy fair and I decided to have some fun with it by adding some interior detail. Not screen accurate, (is there really a screen accurate shot of the inside?). I know there is a version in a Star Wars cross section book somewhere, but I don't care much for the lenses being covered by greeblie bits so I decided to do my own thing.

On top of that I don't have all the details or resources to recreate it faithfully.

Besides I'm not a fan of the way it's depicted in the first place.

So I'm going to do it my way.

I took the sections apart and started gluing foam to the interior.

A fun weekend project, That's all for now.

Blaster Mod

2025-10-18T12:37:00.000-07:00

I liked this video so...

I hunted the gun down on eBay, which I had a hell of a time finding due to its age...

I found some airsoft parts for the side magazine and started painting...

The end result.

And then there's this.

More Experimentation with Foam

2025-10-03T04:13:00.000-07:00

More experimentation with foam costuming. Trying my hand using cleaner cuts and better forming techniques.

Also I'm tinkering with different styles and shapes based on anime line art styles used in the 80's.

Much of the emphasis is trying to figure out cool helmet designs.

Still doing this just for fun.

More to come...

Wasn't happy with the face plate so I decided to revise it...

I also modified a Nintendo Zapper to use as a sidearm and decided to add a trigger guard to the grip.

Foam Tie Fighter Pilot: Continued

2025-08-27T13:23:00.000-07:00

Beginning the finishing touches on my foam Tie Fighter Pilot.

Still have to add hoses and details to the chest box, but it seems to be coming along nicely.

Also I need to add the Imperial cogs at the top, but all in good time.

I decided to do some additional work on the frown as I felt the first run lacked depth and didn't seem convincing enough.

I'm looking for completion by Halloween.

Hoses attached and tested. More to follow...

Almost there...

And done. Put tthis one to rest.

Revoltech Dancougar

2025-07-15T02:51:00.001-07:00

Chōjū Kinshin Dancougar (超獣機神ダンクーガ) 1985 Ashi Productions number 78 sculpted by Yamaguchi Katsuhisa

Dancougar, yes I spell it with an R at the end, it just works for me.

Dancougar was a combining robot series released in 1985 and followed the adventures of a 5 member team of pilots, battling the Muge Zorbados Empire.

This Revoltech figure is a fine complement to the Dangaioh Revoltech that I wrote about back in 2014.

Dancougar is a fine rendition of the combined mecha piloted by the Jyusenki Tai or Cyber Beast Force.

The figure stands at approximately 5 inches, not tall these figures, and has many ball and socket joins distributed amongst its limbs to deliver a variety of poses.

Accessories include a variety of hands (which have been put in storage and I need to find) along with the Dancouken sword.

Well I found the hands, the usual variety. Open expression hands, holding hands and closed fists.

Double handing the Dankouken is a bit tricky due to the wide shoulders.

A fine figure with an incredible range of motion.

Yatte yarusei!!!

Combiner Wars Superion

2025-07-15T02:51:00.000-07:00

Combiner Wars Superion... I have mixed feelings over this figure. On the hand, it looks great and is sturdy in combined mode... with help, and on the other... Jank!

Allow me to explain... this version of Superion in stock configuration, with its standard feet/ hands combo is a hot mess. the lack of ankle tilts, the lack of width in the small feet, causes standing issues when posing.

Superion the standard version

That being said with the release of the new Aerialbot combiner (Age of the Primes) at the time of this writing I'll be diving into the past to review 2015 Combiner Wars Aerialbots.

Let's start with the main figure, Silverbolt.

As Aerialbot leader and main torso for the combiner this figure has limits in its articulation (no ankle tilts, lack of fisit rotation, no waist swivel) due to the fact that it has to serve as a figure, a vehicle and as well as the main torso for the combiner.

It also suffers from the typical Silverbolt alt mode where the shell of a jet covers a folded up robot.

Yoga pose

That being said, the limitations of the figure and the alt mode are due to function and price point, it's decent enough. I get it.

Whose that guy with the Big head?

The Perfect Effect replacement heads

Yeah it's a modified Concorde, moving on.

Alright on to Skydive.

Yup it's an pseudo iteration of an F-16 Falcon with visible robot kibble, but it doesn't look too busy, so it's alright.

Robot mode, no wrist movement, static ankle joints, surprisingly there is a waist swivel, a decent figure.

Next up we have Air Raid.

Air Raid is a fair interpretation of an F-14 Tomcat, even though he was an F-15 Eagle in G-1.

The alt mode serves as a nice enough jet at the top while hiding robo kibble underneath.

Robot mode, no wrist movement, static ankle joints, waist swivel, a repeat of Skydive.

Now onto Fireflight/ Firefly/ Firestrike... whatever...

The orginal Fire... guy, was an F-4 Phantom but this iteration is modelled after a Harrier style.

The alt mode again is a nice enough jet at the top while hiding robo bits on the underside.

As well Robot mode, no wrist movement, static ankle joints, waist swivel, sensing a pattern here.

I know it sounds like I'm selling these figures short, but the truth is that all three of these limb bots are pretty much the same in execution and transformation.

As vehicles they're fine they do the job and as robots the same. It's just that they're just okay.

Lastly we have the breakout of the group Alpha Bravo.

Supposedly Alpha B is a Slingshot/ Quickslinger replacement. This is the only variant of the team that is a chopper rather than a plane.

Essentially the transformation is the same as all the other limbs where wings are replaced with a rotor.

Robot mode, more of the same.

Needless to say that this mod is also used for Vortex of the Combaticons, Blades of the Protectobots, as well as the twins Skyburst and Stormclash for Victorion.

The team assembles

Add on a proper set of hands and feet

The end result.

There's also the alternate head version.

In the end it's decent enough, an affordable alternative to the Age of the Prime version.

Tie Fighter Pilot: Foam Continued

2025-06-07T07:19:00.000-07:00

More progress on my foam tie fighter project...

Adding to the backplate

To be continued...

Update: Added finishing details to the bucket vocoder, lenses, teeth and greeblies...

Pretty much in the home stretch as far as the helmet is concerned, now I just need to finish the chest box and assemble the front and back plates.

To be concluded...

Chirico Cuvie Updated and Improved

2025-04-28T13:30:00.000-07:00

Okay so after staring at the Chirico helmet that I made I concluded that... it really sucks!

In response I decided to cut up the existing piece and add much more accurate improvements through techniques and refinements.

I added a better looking visor as well as connecting the mask closer to the face.

The results are as follows.

Yeah, I think this looks closer to the anime version.

Update: adding the breathing hose and O2 tank to the mask...

More to follow...

Tie Pilot Continued

2025-04-19T05:31:00.000-07:00

I've decided to go the whole nine yards on this so this is my progress so far.

Thus I started to form the front and back plates.

Next I started work on the chest box

Battle Beyond the Stars

2025-03-12T17:57:00.000-07:00

Battle Beyond the Stars New World Pictures 1980 Directed by Jimmy T Murakami Starring Richard Thomas, George Peppard and Robert Vaughn

To infinity and Beyond!!!

Ah. Roger Corman, you always seem to know how to scratch an itch. Who else would make a space opera remake of Seven Samurai in space with such flair and energy?

Battle beyond the Stars is an adventure pertaining to a young farmboy fighting against an evil and all powerful villian with the help of a ragtag team of freedom fighters and... hmmm this seems familiar... ah it's probably nothing.

Our story starts with the obligatory fly-by of a large spaceship panning across the screen. The giant vessel is a combination of a hammer head Star Wars blockade runner mashed with the back end of an Imperial Star Destroyer. I guess the director wanted to copy the opening of a certain popular movie of the time and settled for a combination of BOTH ships to "homage".

We brake for nobody!!!

We're the Space Baaaallls...

The impressive vessel is commanded by the sadistic and evil leader Sador (John Saxon) of the Malmori (Is that the species, the planet, a title or the name of his empire? Don't know!) who goes around roaming the galaxy and plundering the resources of other planets. He also has a habit of capturing victims and harvesting them for body parts to extend his life.

His latest point of interest lies in the planet Akir, an agrarian society, populated by pacifists. Yeah, it's the old "we don't know how to fight, we're farmers" trope. Sador's ship appears and destroys the planets weather satellite as first victim and then proceeds to inflict his reign of terror on the people.

What is that on his face? Raspberry Jam?

It turns out our villain is in possession of a Stellar Converter, a weapon capable of turning planets into suns and he demands that the people of Akir concede to his rule with the threat of returning in "seven risings" I guess that means days...

With little in the ways of defence the planet decides to send out a lone emissary on the only starship to recruit mercenaries to fight for their world.

Wow!!!

Thus we are introduced to our hero Lu... ah I mean Shad (Richard Thomas)... a young farmboy trained in piloting the well... endowed, Starship Nell (Voiced by Lynn Carlin). Seriously this ship has a nice rack... of, of weapons. He is instructed by his mentor, Zed (Jeff Corey), an aged, blind warrior to meet with Dr Hapheastus (Sam Jaffe), an old comrade who dwells aboard a giant space station that manufactures androids and weapons.

I'm going to Tosche Starion to pick up some
power converters.

Welcome to La Vie en Rose

Alpha, recruit a team of teenagers with attitudes...

As he arrives he finds that the station is populated by androids and that the only two living beings in the huge vessel are Hapheastus, himself, who is now just a disembodied head preserved by a machine, and his daughter Nanelia (Darlanne Fluegel), who fixes the artificial beings that maintain the ship.

The good doctor has other plans however as he wishes Shad to marry his daughter and procreate off-spring to populate the station... not a bad deal really...

Good night John-boy!

Shad, however decides to stay true to his mission and convinces Nanelia to escape with him to help fight Sador. As Shad leaves the station, Nanelia follows in her own ship taking a battle assessment computer with her but forgets to take any weapons. Good going girl, you had ONE job...

I love it when a plan comes together

The two agree to split up to seek help and as the two depart Shad encounters raiders trying to pillage another freighter ship piloted by Cowboy (George Peppard) , a native of Earth (Yeah boy! Earth is number One!!!!). Shad rescues Cowboy who happens to be transporting laser hand guns to the Planet Umateal.

Pepard was coming fresh off his role in Damnation Alley by the way.

When the two arrive at the planet they happen to come across Sador's ship and witness the power of the Stellar Converter in action. That being said Cowboy offers the weapons to Shad and his people in that he lacks the fuel to bring them back and that the guns are all bought and paid for anyway.

Lazuliiiiii!!!

While this is happening Nanelia is roaming about in an area of space known as the Lamba zone. She comes across a Zyme, a gaseous creature and is almost consumed but is "rescued" by Caymen (Morgan Woodward), a reptilian like alien known as a Lazuli.

At first he is interested only in selling her but has a change of heart when she tells him she is fighting Sador. It turns out that since our villain was responsible for the annihilation of his race he decides to join the fight for revenge for the man who caused the destruction of his homeworld.

Sometimes we are five, sometimes one

As Shad continues his quest he encounters a strange glowing ship with an ethereal quality. As he is taken aboard he is met by Nestor (Earl Boen) a collective consciousness who has sent five avatars to join the cause.

Having gained another ally, Shad continues his quest to the planet Nascosta. As he lands on the inhospitable surface he makes his way underground to find Gelt (Robert Vaughn), the lone resident who has amassed great wealth but is unable to spend his fortune due to the fact that so many worlds have a bounty out on him. Gelt tells Shad that he'll fight seeing as they can offer him a decent meal and a place to hide, seeing as he has nowhere else to go.

Gelt, hey, that's a Hasbro stormtrooper blaster in his hand!!!

As Shad returns to Akir with his band he is challenged in a mock battle with Saint Exmin (Sybil Danning) of the Valkyrie.

Sybil Danning

Shad treats the female warrior as more of a nuisance than as an asset, nevertheless she insists on joining the battle in order to prove herself in combat.

The problem of using body parts
of your enemies... at least
you'll be popular with the ladies

Overall Battle Beyond the Stars has a lot to offer James Horner's soundtrack is reminiscent of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, which he also composed the music for.

Veteran actors such as George Peppard (Hannibal Smith: The A Team), Earl Boen (Dr Silverman Terminator), Morgan Woodward (Two time Star Trek Original series appearances), Robert Vaughn (Napoleon Solo: The Man form Uncle), Jeff Corey (Star Trek Original series), Marta Kristen (Judy Robinson: Lost in Space) and Richard Thomas (John Boy of the Waltons) are a treat to spot for fans of old time sci fi and television series. Plus Sybil Danning... need I say more?

The film also benefits from the talents of such behind the scene talents such as James Cameron, and the Skotak brothers who would later release such films as The Terminator and Aliens.

All in all a good watch and a lot of fun, the full movie is available on Youtube, check it out.

Last day Capricorn 15's...

Generations Titans Return Hard Head

2025-02-17T05:37:00.000-08:00

Alright Titans Return Hard Head. An interesting figure, highly detailed, with a simple yet satisfying transformation to H-Tank mode.

The Headmaster gimmick works well

and looks good.

The vehicle mode serves as a great looking figure fitting with smaller pilot figures.

Alt mode

There's also a hidden Gerwalk mode

Nothing like the obvious face hanging off the back.

Robot mode

Overall a good figure with good articulation and a nice representation of the original G 1 figure.

Combiner Wars Skylynx

2024-12-27T12:26:00.000-08:00

Alright Combiner Wars Skylynx... here's an oddball... merges to form Sky Reign?

Oh well, here we go. The "official" combination calls for Wheel Jack, Hound, Smoke Screen and Trailblazer to make up the limbs.

Yeah... we're not gonna do that, it's SKY Reign, not Road Reign, (Personally I think a combiner called Road Rage would be cool) so I'm gonna use G2 Aerialbots. Besides my toy, so I'm doing it my way.

First off the hip issues must be addressed if you plan to use this figure as a torso for combine mode. While the hips are on a ratchet, they are very soft and don't hold up very well for standing or posing.

There was a video showing how to fix the issue floating around on YouTube somewhere...

Mind you if you decide to this mod you do so at your own risk and discretion.

This is NOT my video, BTW. Nori Toy is much smarter than me...

Okay down to business.

In beast mode this figure looks pretty good, despite it being hollow in some areas. There are some problems of floppiness in the hind feet that need to be addressed, but it's nothing that a little floor polish and screw tightening can't fix.

Shuttle mode is not as impressive as it's a space shuttle with a large cargo bin strapped underneath.

Let's add some Aerialbots,

Merge to form...

Sky Reign!!!

Of course you'll need some extra hands and feet. I decided to use the Perfect Effect set meant for Defensor. I've also added part of Silverbolt's rifle.

Gotta admit this is a nice looking torso mode, the beast head really sets it off giving it a very sentai look reminiscent of some tokusatsu shows.

Size comparisons.

Skylynx is definitely not for everyone. The thought of this space shuttle dragon/cat being a combiner may be ridiculous to some, but I rather like it.

Generations Leader Jet Fire

2024-12-25T05:38:00.000-08:00

Alright Leader class Jet Fire, this a good looking figure that takes cues from its original Macross Valkyrie roots while adapting its Transformer G1 animation heritage.

I can't help but think that the red chrome finish on his accessories make him look appropriate for this Christmas season (During the time of this article), giving him a festive appearance.

The figure stands at about slightly over 12 inches, when you include the fast pack attached to his back. Crazy!!!

This figure has some serious bling, making him a finger print magnet.

Alt mode, no accessories:

Alt mode, with accessories:

Definitely a very good looking jet mode. the lines flow nicely and it doesn't look like the underside is trying to hide a robot. Personally I feel the problem with most jetformers is what to do with the chest. How do we hide it. Jet Fire solves that problem by becoming part of the fuselage.

Robot Mode, no accessories:

Robot Mode, with accessories:

A good looking robot mode to boot, with some nice details in the chest.

This figure is also replete with ratchet joints. The Fast pack on the back is on a swivel to reduce the amount of height on his backpack.

The downside is that this figure is quite hollow with gaps in arms and legs making him feel light. Still looks good though.

There's even an option to display him without his face mask revealing a head that matches his animation counter part with good light piping. Me, personally I prefer the face mask.

All in all a good figure if you can forgive the short comings.

Combiner Wars Bruticus

2024-12-24T01:01:00.000-08:00

Let's talk about Combiner Wars Bruticus. Why? Cause this is my blog and I feel like it!

Yeah I know I'm several years late to the party but think of this as a retro review.

This is my current version equipped with third party enhancements.

These are not the official Perfect Effects kit, but a KO facsimile. To be honest the original Hasbro offering leaves much to be desired and is by no means superior to any Third party releases, but when adorned with these add-ons, it makes for a reasonable combiner for those of us who do not have deep pockets.

Let's face it, you need these upgrades in order to make this a decent combiner, and the results, while not perfect, (see what I did there?), are at least better than the straight up offering of the Hasbro release.

Personally I'm quite satisfied with a combiner that doesn't take a good portion of the day to transform or try to separate into smaller components. It's just fun to handle and fiddle with and there's no hassle of major engineering puzzles to try to solve in order to achieve the combination.

In short it's not the best, but it is fun.

Firstly we'll start with Brawl.

This figure is a mixed bag. It has a nice alt mode but the figure itself is found to be wanting. Many lament about his hollow chest but I just use the combiner peg to fill in the gap. The real shame is his "Popeye" arms, I think the cut on his treads should have been higher to give him more forearm length.

In the end he serves his purpose as the left leg for his team.

Next up Vortex.

Vortex is the heavily reused and remolded cousin of: Alpha Bravo, Blades, Sky Burst, Stormclash, et al...

Vortex is a pretty standard figure and a good reuse of the Alpha Bravo mold (Even the head is the same). In fact I would say that they should have used him as the basis for Blastoff. Think about it his front end resembles a shuttle and the manufacturers only needed to change the tail, lose the rotors and equip him with wings and just slightly remold the nose to make a decent looking space shuttle.

Vortex in my opinion should have been the model for the jetformers in this line. There is very little kibble and the engineering is compact and much more clever than having an air plane shell with a robot hiding underneath. (But that's just my opinion).

Thirdly we have Swindle.

Man Swindle gained some bulk. Yes I am aware that the front end is not the official transformation but I prefer this fan mode, giving him a more aggressive looking bumper.

This Decepticon con man is pretty good. Lots of details, solid construction, the only downside are the fists that appear in alt mode taking up the majority of cockpit space.

Swindle looks very bulky and his proportions make him look like the powerhouse of the team instead of Brawl.

Blastoff has changed from being a space shuttle to a combat Harrier style jet... Okay I'll buy that...

For better or worse Blastoff is your standard shell former of a jet with a robot hiding underneath. My beef with this is that it adds a lot of bulk to the underside, taking away from the sleek aerodynamic look of a combat jet. He's decent enough, but not my favourite.

Finally we have Onslaught.

The guns have been replaced on his truck mode to more substantial cannons adding to the firepower. The onslaught mold is just Hotspot facing backwards.

This Onslaught has dual wielding guns that I purchased from eBay that are the original G1 guns to replace the ugly grey ones he came with. The awkward part of the robot mode is the hidden Bruticus head hanging off his back.

It's Onslaught, he's okay.

The team

Bruticus, this is where this figure really shines.

But not like this... this is the official Hasbro hot mess.

Let's get him some proper hands and feet...

Getting better...

Much nicer...

This is how I like to display my Bruticus

Conclusion and thoughts: I have no doubts that there are much better combiners available, but this one actually looks quite nice... once you add the extra third party accessories.

Mando Buckets

2024-12-12T16:59:00.000-08:00

A showcase of some Mando Buckets that I've been working on. One is the more traditional based on the Rubies Boba Fett and the other a custom resin piece.

What can I say I like the stormtrooper motif...

Megaro Zamac: Jhau Zamac

2024-02-18T18:08:00.000-08:00

Megaro Zamac: Jhau Zamac this is definitely an old school 80's kit and the engineering shows, however I'm planning on making mods to improve on this 旧キット, (Kyū kitto) or old kit as the term.

The plan is to add better proportions to make it look less like a limited brick and more like a modern update.

I will attempt to do this by slicing the parts up and making radical alterations, adding and building up areas while still retaining the spirit of the original mech.

Starting with this...

Separating the waist and revising the power hoses.

Cutting out the visor/eye area. The head gives me a Gyan or Dom vibes.

Reshaped the head and added a waist extension with wires for swivel in the legs.

Also improved the "A stance on the legs making them spread wider to look more aesthetically pleasing.

Added some interior details in the head, not sure if they will show up but it looks cool.

While I was at it I decided to mold some resin copies of my Mastergrade GM federation pilots. It took 4 tries (the first one broke into pieces and cannot be shown) but I eventually got it right. Not really related to the subject model, but cool nonetheless.

To be continued...

Update: recently I've seen some modders out there using blank combat figures as cheap inner frames for these old models and decided to give it a go.

So far...

To be continued...

Final Faction Arrow ATV

2023-12-17T18:46:00.000-08:00

Just picked up the Arrow ATV from the Final Faction line from my local Dollar Tree.

It's a durable vehicle for under 5 dollars and the build quality is durable and compatible with 3.3/4 figures.

I had some extra Crimson Guard sentries lying about that had no weapons or accesories and I've managed to gear them up with the accessory packs that come with Final faction figures. The end result is quite nice.

Good vehicle for a good price.

Update: Just received the Arrow ATV armour upgrade kit.

Final Faction P 131 Automated Drone

2023-12-15T07:44:00.000-08:00

What happens when you combine ED-209 with a Destroid Tomahawk and put the Crusher Joe Power suit on it's head?

You get the Final Faction P-131, this figure is a classic five point articulation offered by Dollar Tree.

This plus this...

You get this...

The figure is nicely done with solid construction and durable plastic quality.

Some size comparisons with other figures.

Another surprisingly good figure from Dollar Tree.

Transformers Siege Hound

2023-12-14T07:34:00.000-08:00

Siege Hound is another surprising offering from the War for Cybertron design team that actually is more fun than it deserves to be.

I will admit that I was one of those "not sure I'm excited about this" types that was leery about picking up this figure and wound up being impressed by having it and handling the transformation.

The figure itself is a really good representation of G 1 Hound the alt mode looks good as well.

It's fun and intuitive and the alt mode looks like a rugged military machine... nuff said.

Hound with Ginrai. The sad part is that the interior is too small for a headmaster but one can put a rider inside with a little bit of trickery.

Of course there are other means to add an occupant.

Some comparisons

In comparison with various figures

In the end this is a great figure.
