Katie Ann’s friend Martha, has so news to tell her? Is It bad or good?&lt;br /&gt;

Others go without eating altogether. Neither option is good for the body especially under stressful circumstances. Foods fight stress in several different ways. First foods boost serotonin levels. Serotonin is a chemical produced by the brain to calm the body in times of stress. Secondly, foods reduce levels of cortisol and adrenaline. Cortisol and adrenaline are stress hormones, which if overly abundant in the body for a long period of time can take a toll on the body. They also deplete levels of vitamin B, magnesium and can weaken the immune system. Lastly, foods can counteract the impact of stress on the body. To do this you would choose foods that build up the immune system and lower the blood pressure. So instead of running trough the drive thru the next time you're stressed out choose an item from this list to bring down your stress. &lt;br /&gt;

Apples-Apples are a perfect snack for stressful times. They are full of fiber, which fills up your stomach, reducing any cravings you may have of sweet or fast foods. Because the body easily digests apples, you will get a quick boost of energy and nutrients from eating an apple. Apples are also known for regulation blood sugar levels. &lt;br /&gt;

Avocados- Avocados are filled with potassium, more so than bananas. Potassium helps to reduce blood pressure. Blueberries-Blueberries are full of antioxidants and vitamin C so you get a double dose of stress reducing power. Antioxidants eliminate free radicals, which cause premature aging and heart disease. Complex Carbohydrates- When the body is stressed it craves sweets and carbohydrates. Simple carbohydrates should be avoided because they have extra calories without the nutritional value. However, complex carbohydrates are digested slowly and stabilize blood sugars. When you eat complex carbohydrates the brain increases production of serotonin the chemical, which regulates mood, calms the body and relieves stress. &lt;br /&gt;

Dark Leafy Green Vegetables- Leafy green vegetables are chockfull of vitamins and minerals that the body needs. Vegetables include broccoli, kale, chard, bok choy, green beans, and spinach. Filled with vitamin B complex, which helps to relieve stress. Spinach also contains magnesium, which regulates cortisol levels. Magnesium gets depleted during stressful times. &lt;br /&gt;

Eggs- Eggs are a great source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. They also help to regulate blood sugar. Eggs can be consumed in many forms, however they should be consumed in moderation.&lt;br /&gt;

Fish- Cold water fish such as salmon and tuna are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids a healthy amino acid which helps the brain fight stress. These fish also contain vitamins B6 and B12, which help the brain synthesize serotonin. Serotonin is a chemical, which regulates mood and relieves stress. &lt;br /&gt;

This article is going to let you know about some common health problems for cats. It goes into how these may come about and the remedies for them. There are many cat lovers out there, and we need to come together on these matters, so all of our cats can be a healthy cat. I know most of us don't want to risk it and will just take our cats to the vet. But why have a vet bill that isn't needed? The common health problems I have seen are: Hairballs, Fleas, Worms, Diarrhea &amp;amp; Constipation so far.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I know we all love our cats, and hey why not? They are a great comfort to have around, just cuddle n purr. And of course the great hunters they are, not so nice when they want to give back and give us something they caught but still it shows they care a lot! Now us being the cat lovers we are, we can usually tell when there is something wrong with our cats. But that is not always the case, they sometimes will try and hide the fact that they are in pain. I know it sounds weird but they do this because of instinct, they are predators.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So you might be saying no my cat is not under any of these common health problems: Hairballs, not too much to fear if your cat has them once and a while, but if they have them more than that, they might need some remedies like combing them. Fleas, which are very common and sometimes un-noticed, easy way to find out it use a flea comb. Now worms, sometimes hard to discover, the most common in cats are Roundworms, Tapeworms, Hookworms and Heartworms. Now there are products out there to help remedy these, or even to help fight against them in the first place.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I know the next two problems are not a very nice thing to talk about, but being a cat lover, you will do anything for you four legged feline friend. Diarrhea not nice when you need to clean it up since you cat couldn't make it to the litter box. So again there are products you can get to help remedy this nasty problem. And constipation, totally opposite of diarrhea, but could be a sign of worms or something simple as their diet.&lt;br /&gt;

Road Rage is a term that, unfortunately, we have become more and more aware of as the media covers an increasing number of ?road rage? incidents. We?re all aware of the shocking stories of mild mannered commuters turned cold blooded murderers, and we?re fairly certain that this will never happen to us. We?re right?we will probably never turn into a cold blooded murderer simply because some jackass cut us off on the freeway. While most of us are nearly immune to such heinous fits of rage, many of us fall victim to a milder sort of road rage. &lt;br /&gt;
I am guilty of having committed some pretty severe ?road rage? infractions in my day. I was punished in high school for some very uncivil things I said (or rather, yelled) at a bus driver in the school parking lot. On the DC beltway, raising my middle finger (along with my voice) became a reflex; it was almost as natural as using the turn signal. I wasn?t going to go out and kill someone; but my behavior sure could have gotten me killed. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This more mild type of road rage is very prevalent, and very harmful. Besides the obvious safety hazard that it poses, it is unhealthy and un-enjoyable for the Rager and his terrified passengers. The driver in a fit of traffic-inspired rage has high blood pressure (which has both immediate and long-term safety hazards), musculature tension, and high levels of adrenaline and cortisol. All of these things are a genuine hazard to a person?s health. &lt;br /&gt;
Some people have reported having nightmares, experiencing excessive irritability after driving, and excessive anxiety because of these episodes. It is apparent that the person experiencing road rage is harmed in a significant way. &lt;br /&gt;
The good news is that road rage doesn?t have to happen. There are ways to calm down and relax and deal with the stresses associated with driving in a healthy and productive way. Here are five tips that I?ve used to reduce my automobile related outbursts: &lt;br /&gt;
1) Breathing Techniques: I take a deep breath, hold it for a count of five, and release. Doing this several times actually reduces the tension that one?s body is holding. While I?m doing this, I imagine that stress, anxiety and tension filling my lungs, and being blown out of my body when I exhale. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2) Avoiding the aggravating situations: For me, traffic is aggravating, but it is more aggravating when I am worried that it might make me late. Therefore, if I?m going to be driving somewhere that is likely to have traffic, I?ll leave up to a half hour early, and bring a book or some work to do when I get there. Thus, my mind is put at ease and the traffic is easier to deal with. I also plan alternate routes that are less likely to get me caught up in a traffic mess. Each person has their own triggers for road rage situations, and it can be useful to sort through these triggers and try to avoid the stressful situation. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3) Posting Affirmations: I post affirmations in my car (one on my dashboard, and one on the wheel, right where I would press the horn. One of them says, ?I am calm and cool because that is good for me. The one on the horn says, ?I think before I speak?. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4) Preparing for the critical time: I have two stress balls in my glove compartment, a CD with relaxing music, and a bottle of water in my car at all times. When things get tough, I put on the CD, get out the stress balls (both of which can be used during stop and go traffic), and take a drink of water. This is an excellent way to being the breathing exercises. &lt;br /&gt;
5) Changing the mindset: I have seen a hypnotherapist, and I continue to practice self-hypnosis to deal with anger issues in my life. I?ve done a lot of work with the triggers that I identified in tip #2. Now, a lot of the things that were bothering me, simply don?t. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
These five tips can take the edge off of your driving experience. The important thing to remember is that the rage is in you: it comes from you, it hurts you, and it torments you. You may be angry at someone or something else, but that anger is an internal thing. You owe it to yourself to address it properly. It isn?t much of a safety issue for others?it is your own safety and health that is at stake. If you can change the way you react and the things you do, you can regain that happy experience of relaxing during your commute. &lt;br /&gt;

As a woman entrepreneur who travels a lot for work, I know it's hard to balance work and life. Because I travel so much, I constantly find myself watching the behavior of other people. The variety of personalities always astounds me. &lt;br /&gt;
During a recent two week stint where I spoke at five different engagements in 4 different states, I couldn't help but zero in on individuals who couldn't sit still. &lt;br /&gt;

Cell phone and impassioned discussions with work counterparts fill the air as the talkers stride down the airport halls. I've heard individuals have cell phone conversations in bathroom stalls, along the street and during their grocery shopping excursions. I swear competitions will evolve around who has the fastest draw off the belt in answering that urgent ring. &lt;br /&gt;
Here Are My Two Important Questions For You to Answer:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Do we really have to be that available?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. What happened to "down" time? &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
During the fourteen day tour of bookings, other work surfaced. Now faced with handling the keynote and training sessions as well as those business items piling up at home, stress continued to mount.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
How did I know I was stressed? &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I woke up at 3:00 AM five nights in a row to make sure I hadn't over slept the 6 AM wake-up call. No peaceful rest for me...there was business to attend to!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Is Your Desire to Succeed Harming Your Health?&lt;br /&gt;
Our need to succeed and be perceived as competent, efficient and effective often interferes with our duty to take care of our bodies, minds and families. In fact, Fast Company's magazine recently cited research indication that only 1 out of 10 people would actually change their lifestyle if they knew they were going to die without the making the necessary changes. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
For example, a good friend of mine, Jake, recently suffered a severe heart attack. He was healthy one moment and in the hospital the next. When the physician told him to take six weeks off work, Jake's immediate response was "I can't! The backlog of work will be too much and probably give me another heart attack from the stress of playing catch up!" The physician, with obvious misgivings, shortened the recovery period to two weeks and included strict dietary instructions.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He was making the conscious choice to put his work over his own health. Now what are you committed to?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Here Are 8 Commitments To Help You Achieve A Positive Lifestyle Today:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Take inventory of what makes you genuinely happy. As you list each item, evaluate what you do every day to ensure that joy remains solidly in your life. Also list things you do that jeopardize your ability to be happy. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies and don't even know it.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Be accountable for the decisions you make. Every time you say "just a minute while I finish these e-mails" and you end up missing dinner with your spouse, understand you chose to stay "plugged in" to the business. It doesn't control you...you control your choices.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3. Learn to turn off the phone. Voice mail was created for a reason. Use it wisely.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4. Laugh at the absurdities that otherwise contribute to your stress level. A young lady in shorts, sitting next to me at the airport terminal, was the recent victim of a walk-by sneezing. Another passenger inadvertently spit on her leg in his convulsion. He ambled on oblivious. She, however, quietly dug in her purse and pulled out a tissue. She wiped her leg, careful to shield her actions from others... Except I caught her eye and we both howled with laughter. Bless her heart, she showed class in an awkward situation and exemplified the statement "Stuff happens...deal with it!"&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
5. Learn to say "NO" with love and affection. Only you know what your priorities and life goals are. Evaluate what others ask you to do, and then determine your response in terms of how it interfaces with your plans.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
6. Find out how your behaviors affect the ones you love most. Sometimes a mirror held up before us can tell us more than what our mind eye chooses to rationalize. It may not be pretty, but at least you will have an honest starting point on which to make your lifestyle decisions.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
7. Handle your business tasks correctly the first time you deal with them. Quite frequently I consult with clients who feel like the rats in the race are winning. They are overwhelmed by the volume of work they deal with so they do the same tasks over and over again. My advice is simple - slow down and check twice. Not a bad motto to live by.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
8. Balance your high-tech and low-tech mentality. Using email exclusively only broadens the distance between us and our clients. Find ways to make your contact personal. A warm voice over the phone or a quick face to face visit can go a long way to cement a relationship. I've learned that it's the eyes, body language, and tone of voice that speaks volumes – imparting information that e-mail could never provide.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We have to define how far we are willing to push ourselves before we damage the positive aspects of our lives that give us true satisfaction and joy. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

What Can Parents Do to Protect Their Children?&lt;br /&gt;

•Show an interest in your children's Internet activities. Nothing can be as effective as good communication when discussing means to protect them in the cyber world. Don't be judgmental. Try to understand their experiences and understand their frustration expressed against your efforts to manage their Internet use. &lt;br /&gt;

•Be a role model. Direct your children to appropriate websites that could be of interest to them. Teach your children web ethics and explain to them about the threats exist on the Internet. &lt;br /&gt;

•Become Internet savvy. If you have knowledge about services and applications that are available on the Internet, you will be more effective when guiding your children. &lt;br /&gt;

•Supervise your children when they use the Internet. If you have young children, make sure that the PC they are using is in a family space. &lt;br /&gt;
