The Legend of the Devil's Millhopper

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful Indian princess who lived in a village. The devil wanted to marry the Indian princess but she wanted nothing to do with him. So one day he decided to kidnap her. He grabbed the Indian princess and ran. On hearing this, all the Indian braves were deeply sadden and began to chase the Devil and the Indian princess. As the braves began to get closer and closer, the Devil created a huge sinkhole for the Indians to fall into. When the braves tried to climb out of the sinkhole to save the princess, the Devil turned them to stone. To this day, it's said, that the weeping of water from the stones along the slopes of the Devil's sinkhole are the tears the Indian braves shed for the beautiful princess.

Now whether or not this legend is true about the sinkhole who knows I for one feel it is as only the Devil himself would create such beauty that requires you to suffer such torture to enjoy. You see in order for you to fully enjoy this wonder you must first hike 232 steps down this 117 feet deep hole then to return you must hike 232 steps back up. Yes can you hear me huffing and puffing I'm sure you can I also manage to say a few choice words on my return trip However because I am so nice and really sweet(pk people you can stop laughing now) I am going to treat you to some of the beauty I saw without making you break a sweat. My Apologies

I am writing this post to clear up a few things about a recent post I did. It would appear that over the weekend I wrote a post about some books I read written by L. Ron Hubbard. Since making the post I have had several of you bring to my attention that he was a very close minded person and was very unjust in his opinion of people. He was also apparently the founder of some sort of religious cult called Scientology which until a kind blogger explained to me what that was I honestly though it had something to do with actual science. Yes I know my back woods country is showing. That all being said I feel I should apologize if my review offended anyone it was not my intention. I did the review based on reading a book before knowing anything about the author and the books were brought to my attention by a child who really didn't know anything about the authors personal views so I never questioned it.

Anyways that all be said most of you know me well enough to know I would never support someone like this because you know I would never stand for such injustice but it was my post and I do stand behind what I said about the books being good and of good writing. Doesn't mean I like the author or that I support his beliefs it just means I enjoyed these old school books that's it no politics involved, no religion, nothing more then A child said here's a good book and I read a few and agreed they were good. Plus as you all know if you know me well enough from being around here I believe everyone has a right to their opinion doesn't mean I agree but I do respect it and feel they have a right to it and now because I am sort of tired of repeating myself about not knowing more about the author I have decided to turned off comments to that post and again apologized if it offended anyone.

Now can we all be friends again and eat cookies and dance on tables. Please.

Terror Flower is a book that takes place in the sleepy town of River Sunday. When Captain bob is found dead everyone assumes it's an accident except his grandson Smote who soon pulls Trench the local custom car builder. when clues start adding up and an explosion takes place we are plunged into a murder mystery with the race against time and the only solid lead is "Black eye Susan".

I really enjoyed this book not having heard of this author and being new to his writing I was a little nervous going in but I was soon found myself held hostage by his writing. The book was very easy to follow and was very interesting. I was turning pages just to see what happened next and with each twist and turn was really swept up in the mystery. I highly recommend this book as a great summer read it's a really good read.

The best part about owning my own home and land it being able to decorate the way I want. I don’t have to answer to landlords, or housing rue I can do whatever I want. This is a really nice thing because I’ve always loved how I’m able to make my house unique to me. Like creating my own personalized address plaques.

2.I admire this one for her _________ (insert admirable quality) and tell us about them. that would be my friend Artistsupporter who I met on twitter she is the most generous, giving, beautiful person I know she not only spend her working hours helping couples and their babies but in her off time she helps new artist get seen and heard. She has given of her time,resources and heart to introduce the world to music. It's a beautiful thing and I am blessed to call her friend.

3.I really love this blog friend because...that would be CJ over at Monkey & Windex when we first met it was through some mutely blog friends that we both visited but soon we began to talk and found out we had a lot in common including out feelings about our self and things we had done we are like sisters in spirit

Dark Shadows

It's true I did it. I said I would and I did. I would do it again. I want to do it again multiple times in fact. See Dark Shadows that is starring Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer. Oh what were you guys thinking I mean seriously people minds out of the gutter.

So I know most of you aren't big fans of the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp pairing but I think they are genius together. I first fell in love with this duo when they masterminded "Edward Scissorhands" and since then they have never disappointed me in their ability to create the unusual that to me their movies are more like living art then movies if that makes sense.

Personally I really didn't think they could out do them self after seeing "Alice In Wonderland" and this may not have been their best work they did however once again came through for me in this movie. When it started out it seem as though the movie was going to take on the dark feel of the original TV series but that soon change with the rising of Barnabas Collins from the grave. The minute Johnny Depp arose from the coffin as Barnabas Collins in a new era it was game on for one liners and odd moments that had me laughing till me sides hurt. This movie was brilliantly acted by all involved and Tim Burton in all his greatness brought humor and A unique look to a TV classic. I loved how Johnny made Barnabas both frighten yet endearing. The whole cast worked well together and I loved that there were nods to the original series such as setting the movie in the same time frame as when the TV series was originally aired.

Not only was this movie for me fresh and entertaining but it is sure to have you laughing with delight with such one liner as these.

Barnabas Collins: They tried stoning me, my dear. It did not work.

Barnabas Collins: [seeing Alice Cooper] Ugliest woman I've ever seen.

In my humble opinion though it's tainted with a slight obsession with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton is a movie I highly recommend seeing especially if you enjoy movies with great visual effects and sarcastic humor. For me it's a two thumbs up.

I am going to go this weekend to watch it
I have been waiting for this movie ever since I heard Johnny Depp and Tim Burton were teaming up again

the demons rush in
