Darkest Mercy by Melissa Marr

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Having read Darkest Mercy (Wicked Lovely, #5) by Melissa Marr the fifth and final chapter in the wicked Lovely series I have to say nothing turned out quite like I expected. First several characters were killed which I didn’t see coming. Then several characters changed roles and did unexpected things. All in all a really interesting and explosive way to end the book series and well done.

In this final book we find that the fairies from all the courts must find a way to work together to overcome one fairy who by shear defiance has called herself queen and is out to destroy all that is and will be. But working together could prove harder then expected when discord and unseen obstacle keep getting in the way of saving what each values.

Melissa Marr has a way of capturing your attention from first word to last and keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen when you turn the page. For nothing is as it seems and with each new discovery comes the knowledge that people aren’t what they seem and they hold more secrets then you can think to imagine.

this week has been really good
I am enjoying the book review jobs I've been getting
I know it makes me seem crazy reading all the time

Visible Friend by K.Z. Snow is a wonderfully written book that is filled with raw emotions and heart ache. It was not your typical gushy romance that most people write but rather a journey to finding not only one’s self but that person who sees you for who are faults and all but still loves you.

Chris is a man that has spent a good part of the year getting clean and faces the demons of his drug abuse and family’s rejection. When on the eve of his release he is confronted by an old friend. Chris must work through his emotions tied to this old friend and come to terms with whether this old friend is bad for him or the one person who can be what he needs.

I was truly drawn into this story not just by the plot of the story but by the emotional rollercoaster the writer took me on. I found myself one minute routing for Chris and the next having my heart broken when he faced down a demon. It was a truly wonderful story and I have since become a fan of K.Z. Snow can’t wait to read more by this author.

Hello my gorgeous blogger friends how are you all doing this fine day? I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has sent me emails and comments sending your love and well wishes for my mom they are truly appreciated. for those who are new here and didn't know what was happening I took a few days off from blogging because my mom was admitted into the hospital last Monday with accelerated heart beat. Since then the doctors have exhausted all possible forms of medicine that could help so now we are at the point where our options are either for the doctors to go in via heart Cathe and try to fix the damage valve or put a pacemaker in if valve is not fixable. Either way we are looking at heart surgery.

Now onto something much more fun you all have seen these videos people are making about things people say. Well my favorite is the one done by the very talented Cheeks why well for one Cheeks is awesome but even more important is the fact that after watching it I realized just how many of those things I have said repeatedly. so because I adore Cheeks and I am always wanted to send love his way here is his charming video oh and after watching it please go log in to YouTube and leave him some comment love oh and be sure to check out all the episodes of Husbands while your there. Every month the lovely ladies over at Book Soulmates host a party called Random Acts of Kindness. It's an awesome party because it's all about books and as you all know I'm a big book slut so needless to say I made sure I got an invite to this party.

I lost another .8lbs this week
that I'm finally heading back in the right direction for weight loss
that i am really behind on everything from laundry to blogging due to mom still being in the hospital
that I am excited to go to the Medieval Fair tomorrow
that the rain today is actually kind of nice
that I hate the thought of the cooler weather rolling back in for the next week
and last that this song has been stuck in my head all morning
