hello friends. i have been obsessing over the lightened eyebrow look for a while now, but haven't had the balls to do my own....yet.

lightening your brows, even a little bit, can really make your eyes pop...but i do love a drastic bleached out brow because it makes a statement.

the look is legit high fashion, and super fierce.

they seem to be children in very un-child like situations...but after doing some research, i think i understand.

the garments are amazing, especially if you're into minimalism and the futuristic...but for me, what really pulled me in was the way this editorial made me feel. the simplicity of the clothing, set against the gloomy photography...feels apocolyptic.

feels dark. but it's so not.

in the end, there's a song that i paired with this series of photos that i would love you to listen to.
the song is called Hikikomori, from Zola Jesus' new album: Conatus.

Iceland Airwaves 2011

in october, i visited iceland for the greatest music festival in the world, Iceland Airwaves. these are some photos that I took during my time there, followed by some of my favortie acts. i took some video of my own, but they're no bueno...bad audio, fuzzy picture.

i hope to post again about my amazing experience in iceland in the future so that i can share with you the music, art, and fashion that i encountered in more detail...but for now, i can only leave you with this tiny morsel.
