Chinese tests paths for cellphones

A Chinese city 'Chongqing' has created a pathway on one of its busiest streets into two lanes.
One for cellphone users and the other for those who don't have a phone

The pathway is in the city of Chongqing in southwestern China It is 15 meters long and 3 meters wide and it has warning signs painted on the ground

Long Cheng, a spokesperson for the developer that came up with the idea, said that the sidewalk lanes reminded tourists not to walk while playing with their cellphones.

The road, known as "yangrenjie" or foreigners street, is a popular tourist attraction in the city because of its faux Western architecture and an amusement park.

Long said the developers were inspired by a recent experiment in Washington DC and there were no plans yet to roll out the concept elsewhere in the city.Not all pedestrians were sold on the idea, however.

It is estimated that the number of smartphone users in China will exceed 500 million by the end of this year!

There are loads of new Cell phones coming out of China and at great prices, or as a German might say 'a Handy'. I for one Love that terminology because lets be honest, they are very handy to have. Any way I wanted to tell you about the phone I purchased for my wife, the Doogee dagger dg550.
Its a massive 5'5 inch phone and a great improvement of her old Sony Xperia Tipo, which was an OK low end phone, just a bit on the small size.

She really likes the phone even though I thought it might be a bit to big for her, but that's not the case and she uses even uses it watching TV in the kitchen, not just facebook or even calling friends and family :)

The phone comes with a 4 GB miniSD memory card, which makes it an excellent choice for all music lovers. The MP3 player also works without the headphones as the phone also has an inbuilt speaker which is quite loud. The music sounds even better when it is played on the stereo speakers which are better than other single speaker phones. It has a fairly good volume with variable equalizer options. The 4 GB memory card is enough for around 30 hours of non-stop music. But this is applicable only then when you are not using the phone to make or receive calls. The Bluetooth also has a good speed but it goes slow when transferring bigger files.

Design

The Nokia 6500 Slide comes with more than 16 million colors which give the user complete choice as to which color to use in the display. The dimensions of the phone are 96.5 x 46.5 x 16.4 mm and the weight of the phone is 125 grams, which does not put it into the sleek category. Even the GPRS is slow. The screen is large but the keys are a bit small as compared to other popular mobiles.

Conclusion

All said and done nokia 6500 slide is a good phone to possess which will allow you to capture any memorable moment of your life without being ready for it with a camera.
