Lack of Movement makes me Stodgy and Dull in mind and spirit. This winter I have been falling off the wagon a bit more than usual and I ain't loving it. Mornings are not the same without exercise. As Ghalib said :

हाँ मगर चैन से बसर  न हुई ..."





 "It wasn't as if  there was no morning (in your absence). But truly there was nothing soothing  (चैन )"

Here ,the Narmada - metamorphoses from a non-descript ,sedate creature in 
Gwari Ghat ,Jabalpur to a capricious ,wild ,untamed Beauty just twenty miles ahead 
in Bheda Ghat . 


 The
 road to Bheda ghat is flanked by old Tamarind trees :their gnarled 
branches and knobbly trunks remind me that I am in Yogini Land.

The study reports as seen in the press say :

These women exercised for 8 -10 hours a week i.e 1 to 1.5 hours seven days a week.
These women took a lot of PUFA rich oils/fish in their fat intake.
