Hello Lovelies,

Long long long time no see ! Some of you may be wondering where I have been hiding or what I've been up to, given that I have been away from blogging and YouTube for quite a while now. No need to worry though, a post will be going up very soon explaining where I have been. The reason why I am here today is to introduce you guys to an incredible brand, World Organics.

World Organics have added 3 brand new products to its range, including organic primers - certified vegan, organic luminizers and organic concealers.

The Cream Luminizer in "Lunar" creates a gorgeous natural glow across the high points of the face, but can also be built up for more of a sheen across the skin. I particularly love blending this product along my collarbones, when I'm wearing an off the shoulder top.

For those of you that suffer from redness, discolouration, or just prefer a high coverage base, their Cream Concealer is perfect for those areas that need a little more coverage. It's thick yet creamy texture, means it blends flawlessly across the skin, without looking cakey, or like you've applied it too generously.

When it comes to primers, I can be quite picky. I want something that hydrates my skin, doesn't react strangely with my foundation and gives a smooth texture to my skin. I can safely say that the Purely Primer in "Lunar" does all those things. It also has a really yummy orange scent when first applied to the skin, which slowly disappears as it's rubbed into the skin.

My Current Concealer Recommendations

I hope you're all doing well ! For this weeks post I have teamed up with Into The Gloss, to bring you my current concealer recommendations. I've included my top 5 with a mixture of high end to more affordable concealers, as well as what uses each one has for me.

My all time favourite two ways of applying concealer is either with my finger or with a beauty blender sponge. If I'm using a concealer to cover any kind of blemish, I like to use my finger - clean, of course - as it helps warm up the product and melt it into the skin. When it comes to highlighting the face or concealing under the eyes, I love to use a damp beauty blender. With the moisture in the sponge and using it in a dabbing motion, it gives the concealer an almost airbrushed look and prevents it from looking cakey and too heavy.

Personally I always stick to more yellow or slightly peachy undertones for my concealer, as I find they work best on my complexion and the look I'm trying to achieve. If you suffer from excessive redness or your current concealer doesn't completely conceal your blemishes, using a green colour corrector beforehand helps counteract the redness in the skin. Rimmel The Only 1 Collection Swatches

I hope you are all having a fabulous start to the week, I'm back today with a review and swatches of the new Rimmel The Only 1 Collection. I know I've said it before, but I just what to remind you all that these posts are not sponsored, I am just extremely lucky enough to sometimes be sent new products to try out and I want to let you all know about them ! Like I said above, I would happily wear every single shade I have. Due to the collection featuring 12 shades, there is definitely a colour for everyone ! The great thing about these lipsticks is that they can be built up to more of an opaque coverage but they can also be worn more sheer for just a tint on the lips.

The lipsticks go on as a very creamy texture, but eventually dry to a semi-matte finish. They are extremely comfortable on the lips and don't leave them feeling dry and chapped like some more matte lipsticks often do. The formula is super long lasting and doesn't require constant touch ups. They feature the same sweet Rimmel lipstick scent that previous collections have, though it's not overpowering. Stay Lean Tea 14 Day Detox Program Review

I hope you've all been well and are enjoying the new year so far, today I'm here with a review on a recent "teatox" I did. Now before you say anything, I know, I know, everyone and their mother have seen these promoted on Instagram - myself included ! So when I was first contacted by Stay Lean Tea, I was a little apprehensive to say yes at first.

Being the person I am, I immediately jumped onto their website to see why they thought their tea was so beneficial. I had constantly heard of other well known tea detoxes giving people horrendous stomach cramps, not to mention the even worse side effects people experienced - yes, I am speaking about the toilet kind ! I was surprised to see on the Stay Lean Tea website, that their teas don't contain any laxatives.

The 14 Day Detox comes with the "Lean Burner Blend" and the "Lean Cleanse Blend". The Lean Burner is to be consumed every morning, where as the Lean Cleanse Blend you drink every second afternoon. The teas contain different ingredients, to target the body in specific ways, but both teas contain "Longjing Green Leaf" which is packed full of antioxidants and amino acids, to help stimulate fat loss and detoxify the body. There is heaps of information on the Stay Lean website about the ingredients and benefits of their programs, as well as a FAQ section to find out more. Both teas have a very pleasant herbal tea taste, the only difference is the Cleanse Blend, has a slightly more fruity taste to it.

Anyone that knows me in real life, knows that I HATE speaking about toilet habits. I don't want you to know about mine, just as much as I don't want to know about yours. I did realise that doing something like this, I would have to speak about it somewhat and I'm glad to say, I had no negative side effects.... not one ! I have tried various cleanses in the past, which have given me HORRENDOUS stomach pains and having to run for dear life to the bathroom, but thankfully, I had none of that with the Stay Lean Tea. In terms of positive side effects, I definitely noticed that I felt a lot less sluggish. I suffer with incredibly low iron and constantly feel tired, though the tea didn't completely stop that, it definitely made me feel less lethargic. I also noticed that I felt and appeared a lot less bloated around my stomach area, particularly that lower belly area, below my belly button which is my problem area.

3. Hello Dinner ! In my family, food is often what brings us together. Whether it's family dinners every Monday night at my dad's house, or various events and celebrations throughout the year, you can always find my family huddled around a dinner table chatting and laughing, and Christmas is no exception.

4. A glass of Champagne at Christmas, need I say more ?

CHRISTMAS DAY

1. Each year Christmas Day lunch is held at a different family members house, this year it was at one of my aunts and her families house. Celebrations through out the year with my family are always a happy and sad time for me. I love being able to spend time with my aunts and uncles and my gorgeous cousins, but it's still hard that my mum is no longer with us to be able to experience the laughs and love shared between all of us at Christmas time.

2. There's something about table settings at Christmas that I just absolutely LOVE ! I don't know whether it's the fact that you can go all out with gorgeous decorations, or that it represents you and your loved ones spending Christmas together, but I always just think they look so beautiful and festive.

3. Presents ! Even though Christmas isn't about what gifts you receive, but rather spending quality time with your friends and family - Cheesy I kno, but very true ! - I still feel incredibly lucky that my family and I are able to spoil one another with gifts.

4. Lots of food........ Again !

Winterise Your Beauty with Adore Me

all my northern hemisphere readers, I seriously envy you at this time of the year. I envy the fact that you have cold weather over the festive season. I envy the fact that you can wear big over sized jumpers to hide the food baby that it looks like we're having from eating too much food at Christmas and I especially envy all the gorgeous Winter ranges that are coming out at the moment from companies like Adore Me !

Though this post is more aimed at my American and Canadian readers, if you happen to live else where, don't fret, you can still get some gorgeous lingerie inspiration !

The first look I chose is this gorgeous peach bra and underwear set, which I think would pair lovely with a soft neutral smokey eye and lashes and a natural pink flush to the cheeks. To keep with the simplicity of the pieces, yet still having the extra detailing of the lace, I thought it would tie in really well with the soft eyeshadow look, but still have some oomph with the addition of false lashes.

Next up is this incredibly vibrant blue set, which I thought would look absolutely bomb with an intense cranberry eye, and a glowly highlighted base. I kept it quite natural when it came to the lips and mascara, as I really wanted the jewel tones from the eye and the opaque highlight to be the focus of the look. My inspiration for the look was that the intensity of the cranberry eye would pair really well with the vibrancy of the lingerie pieces

Rimmel Nude Collection by Kate Moss Swatches

I hope you are all doing very well ! Today I bring you a full review and my personal thoughts and opinion on the Nude Collection by Kate Moss from Rimmel. Quick Disclaimer - I was lucky enough to be sent the range to try out, but i am in no way required or being paid to review them, just letting you know ! So with all that being said, let me tell you about the range !

The collection is made up of 5 different shades, which are meant to cater for a large variety of skin types.

#40 - Pale pinky beige
#42 - Peach beige
#43 - Apricot nude
#45 - Mauve nude
#45 - Deep nude

Personally I love all the shades with the exception of #40, as it too pale for my complexion particularly when I've got fake tan on. The great thing about the variety of shades is that they can also be customised by layering the shades over one another.

The lipsticks have a creamy texture, with the same subtle sweet scent that the previous Kate Moss lipsticks feature. They are extremely comfortable to wear because of the moisturising finish they provide. Due to the formula being quite creamy, they do wear off fairly quickly, but fade quite evenly instead of being left with that lip liner like ring around your lips like some lipsticks do. The lipsticks retail for $12.95 from Priceline, here in Australia, so are definitely on the more affordable end of the drugstore range.

My Top 5 Spring/Summer Must Haves!

I hope you've all been well ! So when it comes to the warmer weather, I am not always the biggest fan. Don't get me wrong, when the sun starts shining and there's a gorgeous scent to the air from the blooming trees, I thoroughly enjoy it, but as soon as we get hit with those over 35 degree days and the sweat kicks in - you know what I'm talking about haha - I would happily take back winter in a heart beat ! So to help ease into the Spring/Summer season just that little bit easier - and a little bit more fashionable - I thought I'd put together my top 5 Spring/Summer must haves !

Printed Kimono's

Kimono, Kaftan, Cover-Up, whatever you want to call it, these things are the bomb.com ! Being a little bit more body conscious than I'd like to be, these are a god send when you're wanting a bit of coverage, minus the sweltering heat of a jacket or cardigan - and come on, they're freaking cute as well ! Paired with anything from a simple maxi dress to a bathing suit at the beach, they are incredibly versatile. Online stores such as Asos, Miss Guided and Boohoo, stock so many different styles and colours, that there's definitely one to suit everyone !

Sun-Kissed Skin

I know this may not be for everyone, but for me, glowing tanned skin is a must in the warmer weather ! I think it's incredible when some is proud and rocks their pale skin, for me though, it gives me an added boost of confidence and just helps me feel a bit more put together. Whether you're just a beginner or prefer the convenience of a self tanner, or like to go all out with an at-home spray tan, a gorgeous glow to the skin can make the world of difference ! Being someone who is naturally incredibly pale - and I mean PALE ! - I have had my fair share of good and bad experiences with at-home tanning, I think it all comes down to which products work best with your skin and practice makes perfect ! Depending on the colour you want to achieve, you can go for a natural glow with a gradual tanner all the way through to a gorgeous airbrush effect with a spray tan machine.

Sunglasses

Given that I have blue eyes, even the slightest bit of sun makes me squint like you wouldn't believe, so when it comes to sunglasses, I don't play around ! Obviously with sunglasses the appearance is very important, but what also needs to be remembered is UV protection. Making sure your sunglasses have a high UV protection rating is what's going to shield your eyes from the harmful UV rays from the sun and well as minimising any damage caused to your eyes whilst out in sunlight. Depending on where you purchase your sunglasses from, if they don't happen to already tell you what the UV protection rating is, simply flick them an email or ask in store and they should be able to give you more info on them.

Bright Lipstick

LIPS ! Everyone loves a good lip colour, whether you prefer to go in the nude - on the lip, of course ! Get your mind out of the gutters LOL - or like to go all out with a deep vampy lip, I think Spring and Summer calls for busting out your bright lippies and wearing them with confidence. I've had many people say to me before they "can't wear bright lipsticks" or bright and loud lipsticks look "weird on them", but the important thing to remember is that, finding the right shade for you can make the world of difference ! Just having a play around with different shades and working out what you prefer and what you think looks rocking on you, can add that bit of oomph to any makeup look. Taking a few tester selfies in different lighting can often help a lot too !

Bright Nail Polish

Similar to a bright bold lip colour, a vibrant coat of nail polish can jazz up any look ! Brands such as Rimmel and Maybelline stock some really gorgeous summer shades for under $10 - some even less than $5 ! Coming from someone who can have some pretty manky nails most of the time, I know how daunting nail polish can be, but sometimes there is nothing better than sitting down and giving yourself a little pamper session with a manicure and a fresh coat of polish.

Holy cow, have the last few months been busy ! I have been so caught up with my course and being on placement at a local High school - which I am absolutely loving ! I also turned 21 on the 22nd of September and was extremely spoiled by my friends and family, but enough about whats been happening in my life, I wanted to tell you all about a fabulous new skincare system I have been using, called Skin B5.

When Skin B5 reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in trialing their range, I jumped on their website to see what it was all about and was sold immediately. Skin B5 is a 4 step skin care system, that is packed full of natural ingredients to help repair the skin, whilst treating and preventing acne. Science was never my strong point at school, so I will leave all the in-depth explanation to the website, which I will link below. One of the main ingredients of the formula is Vitamin B5, which is known to have amazing benefits for the skin, such as retaining moisture, as well as healing and regenerating the skin. Unfortunately I forgot to take before shots which I'm really disappointed about, to be able to compare to my skin now, but even just in the overall appearance and condition of my skin I have seen an improvement, especially keeping my breakouts under control when it's that certain time of the month ! Bohemian Inspired Hairstyle Ft. Irresistible Me Extensions

To follow on with the hair theme from my previous post, I wanted to share with you this hairstyle that I have been really loving. It can be worn all year round, but looks especially gorgeous during the warmer months and perfect for any occasion that you need a quick and easy, but still pretty hairstyle for. I also show you a before and after of what my extensions look like, once they're applied. Before you say anything, yes I know they don't match the ends of my hair exactly, but like I mentioned in my previous post, I'm still in the process of getting my red ends trimmed off and still need to make an appointment with my hairdresser to get my extensions cut and shaped for my hair. So ! With all that being said, I hope you guys enjoy the super easy walk-through of this hairstyle and if any of you try it out, I'd love to see it, so tag me in your pictures ! :)

I used to love creating this look with my own hair before I chopped 6 inches off it, so now that I'm able to recreate it using my new Irresistible Me Royal Remy Extensions, it gives me another hairstyle option to add to the list. Once I've put in my extensions, I take a section from near my temple under the fringe section of my hair and begin plaiting it, making it long enough to wrap across my forehead and then be pinned underneath my hair on the other side of my head. So once you've got a long enough plait, tuck the ends under your top layer of hair and bobby pin it in place. As my hair is so thick, I tend to place 2 bobby pins in a X position to really secure the plait and that's basically it ! From there you can straighten or curl the ends, it's totally up to you ! This hair style is so customisable, you can make the plait as big or small as you like and tweak it your liking !

Irresistible Me Royal Remy Hair Extensions Review

It has been a hot minute since I last put up a blog post ! If you haven't seen on any of my other social media, I changed courses a couple of months ago and have been super busy on placement for it as well, but I wanted to introduce you all to this fabulous company that I have recently been introduced to.

If you haven't heard of Irresistible Me, they are a company who sell 100% natural Remy clip-in hair extensions, as well as hair accessories and tools. They specialise in high quality hair at an affordable price, which is perfect if you're someone who likes to watch how much you spend ! Obviously depending on what your hair needs are and what look you're trying to achieve will depend on what product you order, whether that's a clip-in pony tail or highlights, all the way through a 260g set of clip-in extensions, there's a variety of options, in a wide range of colours to choose from. By no means am I being paid to say any of this, they are just awesome hair extensions and I want you guys to know about them !

I've always had a love hate relationship with my hair. When it's long, I want it to be short, but then when its short, I want it to be long again. I've never been one to be attached to my hair, so if it means cutting off 6 inches of my hair, then so be it ! As my hair is extremely thick, I chose the Royal Remy hair 22 inches 200g bundle in Ash Blonde, which comes with 10 pieces - 1 Four clip, 2 Three Clips, 5 Two clips and 2 One Clips. As you can see in the image above, they come in a clear plastic pocket, with 9 of the pieces being in the left side and then the 10th piece on the right hand side as a bit of a test clip. Before you open the entire packet, open the side with the single extension in it, to make sure you're completely happy with the extensions, in terms of colour and length, because once you open the entire packet, they are unable to be returned. They also include a couple of extra clips, in case the original ones come off and get lost or you want added grip on your extensions and want to sew them on yourself.

If you've noticed in any of my recent photos, I still have the slightest hint of red on the ends of my hair, which I'm gradually getting trimmed off. So when choosing my extensions, I wanted them to match my natural hair colour, which is why I haven't included a photo of the extensions applied, but do stay tuned for photos on my Instagram ! So far I've loved the amazing quality and how natural the hair looks. My Top 5 Winter Lipsticks

I hope you are all doing very very well ! Today when I woke up, I had the urge to blog. I didn't know what about, but I just wanted to write something. After having a think and noticing the gloomy weather outside, I thought I'd share "My Top 5 Winter Lipsticks" with you all. I was also thinking of doing a Summer version for all of you in the northern hemisphere, so do please let me know if that's something you would like to see. Hello Lovelies,

In life it's only normal to have things that stress you, whether it be school, work, personal life, you name it, there's always something that can be a bit overwhelming. Recently a few things in my life have changed and also presented some new opportunities and sometimes it just feels a bit too much at times, which is why I think it's so important to take some time out for yourself and de-stress.

Candles

First and foremost, I find scents really comforting, whether it be a scented candle or a fragrance oils, there is something just so calming about a gorgeous smell in the air. My current favourites when it comes to candles are the Airwick Scented Candle in "Lemonade Stand"* and the Multicolour Silhouette candle* in "Amber Mandarin Glow", as well as the Tigerlily Viva Candle in "Coconut, Lemon & Lime". If you're not one for burning candles in your home - fire and all that, I totally get it ! - I would recommend trying out reed diffusers. You get the same effect, minus the worrying about a lit flame

Face Masks

Next up, are face masks ! Obviously depending on how my skin is, will determine what face mask I use. So far through my skincare ventures, I am yet to find a face mask that absolutely blows me away, but there are definitely a few that I tend to use on a regular basis. Some of my favourites include the Formula 10.0.6 masks that you can buy in individual packets, or a full-size tube, as well as the Lonvitalite sheet masks and the Palmer's Purifying Mask. Then all you have to do is sit back, relax and let the mask work its magic !

Reading

To me, nothing more says “de-stressing and relaxing” than reading. If you have a book you’re currently reading or have always thought about that certain book you've always wanted to read but haven’t quite got around to it, take some time out for yourself and read them! Or if you’re like me and don’t currently have a book in mind, or often struggle getting into a book, pick up your favourite magazine and catch up on the latest trends or who’s supposedly pregnant or getting divorced. Immersing yourself in something such as reading can help take your mind of things for a bit and prevent situations and events from feeling too overwhelming.

Music

Finally to de-stress I love listening to music. Whether it's something to rock out to and have a good dance and sing-a-long in my bedroom, or some nice calming and relaxing songs, music is definitely a way that I de-stress. Another great option is to create a playlist, or even a few, of your favourite songs depending on your mood. So instead of fiddling around with all your songs, they're all right there in their own little ready to go playlist. P.S don't judge me for enjoying a bit.... okay, a lot of One Direction.

Feet that don't make you go eep!

I know, I know ! No one wants to talk about feet, whether it's weird lumps and bumps, that look like they belong to some extraterrestrial creature, or ridiculously dry and cracked heels, feet aren't always the most pleasant thing to show off, let alone talk about, particularly in Winter. When I think of cold weather, I think of dry skin, in my case, extremely dry feet. Nice feet are something that I have not been blessed with, especially with the fact that I'm not very good at taking care of my feet - don't worry, I'm not going to put you through seeing my hideous feet haha. Instead, I thought I'd take you through my routine of how I keep my feet looking as nice as possible, all year round !

As I do this routine after my nightly shower, I make sure my feet are completely dry and that there is no trace of moisture. I then take my Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi* and start to exfoliate the dry patches on my feet, focusing on my heels and the outside edge of my foot, as that's where I get the most dry skin. I'll go over the area for a few seconds - making sure not to over exfoliate - and check every couple of seconds to see if I have reached my desired level of smoothness. Obviously my feet aren't going to be as soft and smooth as a baby's bum, but as long as there's no rough and overly dry patches, then it's okay with me !

Once my feet are nice and smooth, I next take my Scholl Eulactol Heel Balm Gold* and massage it into my heels, as well as any other particularly dry patches that I have. If you're like me and often have extremely dry heels, this will be a life saver ! With a non-greasy formula, the balm soaks in right away. To get a bit "science-y" for a second, the balm contains Urea which is a humectant, this means that it not only absorbs water, but it also has a very high water content itself, this helps minimise the water lost through the skin, helping keep the skin supple and well moisturised. With the use of this balm, there are visible results in just 3 days ! Scholl not only has some great clinically proven products to help relieve and heal cracked heels, but they also feature some amazing tips on how to keep your feet looking their best !

Finally I finish off with a good slather of moisturiser. I'm currently loving the Premium Spa SOS Moisture Balm in Frangipani and Coconut. It not only has a really thick - almost mousse like - texture, but it smells incredible ! Once my heel balm has soaked in, I then apply a generous amount of this to my feet paying particular attention to my more dry spots - heels, balls of my feet.... who am I kidding, my entire foot ! After applying my moisturiser I put on a thick pair of socks and sleep with them, to wake up to gorgeously smooth and supple feet.

Current Skin Routine

Welcome back to another week on Coat of Cosmetics. So I realised that it's been a hot minute since I last covered my skincare routine in a video and that I've also never talked about it in a post. I thought today, I'd go over what I use to keep my skin as clear and as hydrated as possible, as well as introducing you guys to an incredible line from Clearasil line.

Personally, I like to keep my skincare routine quite basic, as I find this is how I get the best results. Morning and night, I start off with washing my face with the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Gel Wash*. If I'm wearing make-up I like to do a double cleanse, just to make sure I've removed ever speck of make-up, if I'm not, then I just cleanse my face once. I have the type of skin that I either see results straight away, or I get a bad reaction / my skin stays exactly the same. Within the first day or 2 of using this face wash, I immediately noticed my skin starting to clear up. Any spots I did have were either shrinking or drying up and no new nasty spots were rearing their ugly heads. The great thing about Clearasil, is they not only have incredible products, they also provide some amazing tips on their website. Be sure to check out the links listed below, for some great tips on protection from the sun, a tailored skincare system and some of their much loved products!

Next up, I use my trusty Bioré Triple Action Toner. I have been using this for probably close on 3 years, maybe even more. I love the fact at how clean it leaves my skin feeling and removes any last traces of dirt and oil, that may have been left behind. To use it, I just squirt some on a cotton round and gentle swipe all over my face, paying particular attention to my T-Zone. Due to it containing salicylic acid, I wouldn't recommend this if you have particularly dry or sensitive skin, because it will most likely just aggravate it and make it worse. If you do have oily or acne/pimple prone skin, I would definitely suggest trying it out.

For any spots that have snuck past, I treat them using the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pimple Cream*. It features Acceladerm technology which helps to fight breakouts, as well as being "clinically proven to visibly reduce pimple size and redness in just 4 hours". As I show in my YouTube video (linked below) I like to apply the cream to the pimple, as well as a little bit of the surrounding area. To make sure the cream, is well absorbed before I apply my moisturiser, I brush my teeth, to give it more time to soak in.

Finally to put back moisture into my skin, I use the Aveeno Daily Moistursing Lotion. Due to some issues with my thyroid, I was developing these awful dry patches, on my temples, which started to spread to my forehead and down the edges of my cheeks. No matter what moisturiser I tried, nothing would work to fix it. The dry patches started to get to the stage, where my skin would feel quite painful and crack. I finally was watching one of Hollie Wakeham's videos were she was talking about the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion and how it helped clear up a skin reaction she was having. Within a day or 2, I saw a drastic improvement in my dry skin, which continued to get better and better. For the time being, there is no way, I'd try any other moisturiser as I have had such amazing results and it's so affordable as well. In the mornings, I apply a thin layer and allow it to sink in before I start my make-up applycation. For the nighttime, depending on how my skin is feeling, I will often apply 2 coats, for an intense moisturisation over night and wake up to gorgeous hydrated skin

My Go-To HandBag Emergency Kit

Hello Lovelies,

When it comes to my handbag, whether it's the poor girl in a club toilet needing a tampon - yes, I have absolutely no shame offering her one - or being out and about with a friend and needing a nail file for a pesky bit of rough nail, I pretty much have it all. I used to pack literally as much as could fit in my handbag, as I am incredibly good at convincing myself "but what if I need it ?!", so now I have managed to dwindle down my handbag necessities into my go-to emergency kit. Obviously you could totally personalise this to your own requirements... Don't like nail scissors ? Swap them for a pair of nail cutters. Always needing a hair tie, as well as some bobby pins, through in a couple of them as well - I can't even begin to tell you how many hair ties I have given to my friends, over the years !

Lucas Paw Paw Ointment

First off in my kit, is my trusty tube of Lucas Paw Paw Ointment. The thing I love about this is that it's a multipurpose product. Not only can I use it on my lips, as a lip balm but I can also use it for any dry patches, scratches or burns I may have on my body. As well as smoothing down any unruly eyebrows hairs and pesky little fly aways.

Pads + Tampons

Pads and Tampons ! Most, if not all of us need them ! Like I said in the introduction, I have no shame when it comes to anything period related, it's natural, it happens, so why be embarrassed about it ?! At all times of the month, even if you don't need them, chances are someone else will. Whether it's your best friend, or a random girl in a public toilet, there is nothing more (relieving) than when someone has a spare pad or tampon that you can have, when you're in desperate need

Nail File, Tweezers + Nail Scissors

When it comes to nails, I find there is nothing more annoying than when you're out and about and have a rough edge on you nails or those gross bits of dry skin on your cuticle that you feel will rip your finger in half, if you were to try and pull it off. This is where having tools such as a nail file, tweezers and nail scissors seriously comes in SO handy ! For Christmas one year, one of my sisters bought my other sisters and I cute little manicure sets from ASOS which came in these handy - get it ! - little cases which would fit perfectly into a handbag emergency kit, but of course, clumsy old me has misplaced it on many occasions, so instead I just keep cheap options in my bag, so I'm not worried if I lose of misplace them. If you're interested in the manicure sets, I'd recommend having a look at websites, such as ASOS, TopShop, River Island and eBay, as well as at your local chemists and drugstores, as I'm sure they're bound to have them !

Bobby Pins

Bobby Pin, Kirby Grip, Hair Grip, whatever you want to call them, they are almost essential for anyone that has hair. Whether you need to change up your hair to something more night time appropriate after school or work, or you just have those little bits of hair that don't quite make it into your bun or ponytail.

They're also great at temporarily holding any button holes together, until you're able to reattach the button, they were a life saver for me during high school with having to wear white button down shirts and having a large bust.

Band Aids

If you're anything like me, and manage to get a scratch, god knows how or you torture yourself by wearing those pair of heels that are far too cute for just sitting on your shoe rack, then band aids are a must ! You never know when a situation may arise where you or someone else may need one. If you're someone who's prone to getting hurt, or experiences headaches, cramps, etc, then I'd also recommend including a card of pain killers, such as Panadol or Ibuprofen, as you never know when a nasty little pain will make itself known.

Save or Splurge: L'Oreal Vs. Benefit

Welcome back ! I know I have been away for almost a month, I have just been super busy with studying and various family and friends events. I am back today with a new series that I'm hoping to continue on my blog "Save or Splurge". In this series, I will be taking two very similar products, one from a drugstore or more affordable brand and the other from a higher end or more expensive brand and comparing the two. Today I will be comparing the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Magic Touch Blur and the Benefit the POREfessional*.

Check the table at the bottom of the post for a comparison overview !

The L'oreal Magic Touch Blur retails for $22.95 Australian dollars( Pssst! Chemist Warehouse sells it for $19.39), where as the Benefit POREfessional retails for $53. Though the POREfessional costs more, you end up getting far more product with a whopping 22ml (0.75 fl. oz), unlike the Magic Touch Blur which only contains 15ml (0.50 fl. oz). Both promise to smooth the appearance of pores, as well as helping your make-up to last longer on the face. They are also great for guys who want an added boost of confidence to help hide any visible pores or unwanted shine, as they blend out to an undetectable flawless finish.

Benefit states that the POREfessional "contains a Vitamin E Derivative". Vitamin E can help protect the skin against the harmful effects of free radicals, such as aging. Similarly the Magic Touch Blur contains optical blur polymers which helps to create a soft focus look to the skin, blurring the appearance of aging such as fine lines. The POREfessional contains a very slight sweet floral scent, similar to the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, though the Magic Touch blur has no scent.

In the picture below I've compared how both of them blend out and both end up exactly the same in appearance. The only difference is I find with the Magic Touch blur being a lot thicker, it fills in my pores on my face a lot more than the POREfessional does. Don't be put off by the tint of either of them, because as you can see, once blended out the tint fades.

Personally I much prefer the Magic Touch Blur, not only because of the price, but I find with the thicker consistency it fills in my pores a lot better as well as giving my skin a much more velvety finish.

1 Year Blogiversary & A Thank-you

I know it wasn't that long ago that I wrote a thank-you post, but yesterday marked a special day in my blogging world, January 22nd 2015, marks one year that I have been running Coat of Cosmetics. I know to some people 1 year may not seem like a very big achieve or a very long time, but to me it's massive. Being a girl who can sick of things very quickly, makes me even more proud of myself, that I have stuck with my blogging for a complete 365 days.

Through my blogging experience so far, I have already had so many great opportunities and have also met some wonderful people and I am so grateful for everything.

Before I continue blabbering - because I could seriously keep typing until my arms fell off - I decided to put everything I wanted to say in a video.

Anyway, I am finally getting around to doing my post on the Rimmel Provocalips 16hr Lip Colours. I will also link below the lip swatch video I did, if you haven't seen it already. Each of these lip colours retail for $17.95 and are definitely worth the price ! The formula is incredible and not drying at all. Both step 1 and 2 need to be worn together, because without step 2, the lip colour has quite a dry tacky texture, so not only does step 2 give it a nice smooth texture, it also adds a gorgeous level of shine to the lips as well.

I can't even begin to tell you how long wearing these lip colours are, I have worn them from am to pm and the lip colour still looks freshly applied all day long ! They also don't have a strong scent, so once applied you almost forget that you're even wearing anything.

Tips:

♡ Make sure your lips are well exfoliated and aren't dry and chapped, as the step 1 lip colour sets matte

♡ Allow step 1 to dry and become tacky before applying step 2, to make sure none of the colour is disrupted or smudged.

♡ To remove, use an oil based eye and lip make-up remover, or i find applying Vaseline all over the lips and wiping with some tissue, works just as well !

NB Slimming Inch Loss Body Wrap Kit

I am so so sorry for being away for so long - almost 2 months in fact. September and October are quite busy months for me and along with that, I've been feeling a little unmotivated and uninspired, but with a fresh drastic hair cut and some time off, I am back and ready to jump straight back into blogging !
I wanted to return with a bang and introduce you all to this amazing product that I have been testing out for a few months now. I was gifted this Inch Loss Body Wrap Kit* from the gorgeous Nicola Bird and her company.

I've always been intrigued with these additional steps that can be taken to help achieve the body you desire. So when I was given the opportunity to test this clay body wrap, I couldn't wait to try it out ! When you purchase the Body Wrap Kit, it comes with a 500ml tub of the contouring clay, as well as 3 compression bandages, a measuring tape and a leaflet with instructions on how to wrap, if you are unsure on how to do it. The clay contains 70 different minerals which help detoxify the body, helping it feel firmer and more slimmed down. It's also great if you've lost some weight or have given birth and you're wanting to tighten you skin and reduce the appearance of stretchmarks.

So far I have used this 4 times - since the end of July - before events where I've worn tight and form-fitting clothing. As my problem area is my lower stomach, I wrapped from just above my pubic bone to slightly above my waist, to help tighten that area.
Each time I used the wrap, I lost a few more centimeters than what I had preciously lost, so my hip measurement hadn't returned back to its original size. In total through the 4 wraps, I have lost 9cm. I know 9cms may not seem a lot to some people, but its perfect for just before a big event when you need to feel just that little bit more toned and tightened in your trouble areas and it gives you that added bit of confidence when wearing a tight piece of clothing.

If you're wanting to see maximum results from your wraps, I'd recommend wearing shape-wear over the compression bandage if possible. I noticed when I wore a pair of high waisted shape-wear briefs, there was a larger difference in the cm's lost, compared to when I used the compression bandages alone. The directions say to keep the wrap on for 60 minutes, but there were a couple of times where I fell asleep with the wrap on and woke up the next morning and removed it. The great thing about the clay is that it doesn't need to be washed off, once you've removed the wrap, as the clay will continue to work on the skin. The ingredients are also 100% naturals, so you don't have to worry about any harmful chemicals on your skin, or absorbing into your body.

Obviously this kit it to be used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise program. You need to be realistic with these kind of weight loss assisting products, as they aren't going to magically make you loose 20 kilos over night. In saying that, they will make a difference to your body and give you that extra motivation

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for something to add to their weight loss program or looking for a little body confidence boost before a big event ! Social Eyes Lashes Review

Hello Lovelies,

I hope you're all well. When deciding what to write about for today's post, I came to realise that I hadn't written my review on the pairs of Social Eyes Lashes that I had purchased over 3 months ago ! Obviously when I speak about anything on my blog - whether the product is sent to me or I purchase it myself - I'm going to be 110% honest with you all and I can honestly say these lashes are incredible !

Social Eyes is an Eyelash company, which was created by YouTuber Karissa Pukas and her brother, Hayden. The price of the lashes range from $3.95 to $5.95, which is incredibly affordable, given that they are such good quality and can be worn multiple times ! The postage within Australia and New Zealand costs $5 and for all you international people, there is a flat rate of $10 for shipping. There is a style of lash for everyone in this range, whether you're after a soft and flirty everyday lash or a dramatic night out lash, you will definitely find a pair you love !

The 1st pair I picked up were the lashes in the style "Delight". The style gradual gets longer and thicker towards the outer corners, which helps to elongate the eye and enhance that cat eye effect. These are definitely my go-to night out lashes, as I personally love the winged out cat eye look. They feature a flexible band, which makes them incredibly easy to apply, which is great if you're a beginner or have trouble applying false eyelashes. I've featured these in my Kylie Jenner Make-up Look on my YouTube channel, if you're wanting to see what they look like on the eye.

For times when I'm wanting a bit more drama than the "Delight" pair, I go for the lashes in the style "Irresistible". They feature a similar shape, giving you that winged out look, but these are far longer, and don't have the thicker outer corners. They also have an invisible band, which means they can be worn without any kind of liner along the lash line and are almost undetectable ! This style of lash, I featured in this video, if you'd like to see what they look like applied.

Life Update & A Thank-You

Hello Lovelies,

So I don't really know how to start this post off, because it's not going to about achieving a certain make-up look or products I'm currently loving, it's more a bit of a life update and an opportunity to say thank-you to each and every one of you. This will probably just turn into one big rambling mess, but just bear with me haha.

I want to start off by saying that I can't even begin to put into words how grateful I am, to all of you. On Friday night I hit over 4000 views on my blog. Now I know I say this each and every time I hit a mile stone, but I never once thought that my blog would turn into anything more than just a few friends and family members reading my posts. Being able to see that there are people from all over the world reading my blog, is just absolutely mind blowing to me !

I know that having the highest number of views or followers, isn't the most important thing, but just knowing that there are people out there who are genuinely interested in my blog and YouTube channel, is so incredible.

Through blogging I have also had the opportunity to become friends with 4 of the most incredible girls. Having others around you that share the same interests and passion about make-up and beauty, is just the best feeling. I also wanted to apologise in advance, if I miss any videos or blog posts throughout the month of September, like it is for everyone, September is an incredibly busy month for me, with multiple birthdays, including my own ! - hello to never being a teenager ever again. Like always, I will let you guys know through my social media, what is going on with my blog and YouTube channel and whether I will be posting anything that particular week.

Makeup Social App

Hello Lovelies !

I hope you've all been well. Massive apologies for not uploading a video last week, if you saw on any of my social media, I had an incredibly bad reaction on my face, which meant I couldn't put anything on my face except smothering it in paw paw cream haha. So, I am back this week with something a little different and it's a review on the Make-up Social app.

The people from Makeup Social app were kind enough to send me some screenshots of the app in action

The way the app is described, is if Instagram and Make-up Alley (Online Make-up Reviews and Forums) had a baby, then Make-up Social would be it ! It features anything from product reviews, to forums and make-up advice, this app has just about everything. You can interact with others around the globe and share your tips, tricks and thoughts on all things beauty related.

The app allows you to create your own virtual makeup collection of products that you have, as well as being able to make a wishlist of makeup products you are wanting. On the makeup social news feed, you can filter what kind of posts you want to see ie: just makeup, or skincare, or hair etc. Also, underneath each individual post it gives you a percentage to how similar that persons "Beauty Profile" is to yours. So someone that has the same skin type, skin colour, eye colour, etc to you, is going to have a much higher percentage than someone who has completely different features. This allows you to make a more educated decision when deciding whether a product you are wanting to purchase may work for you or not.

Similar to Instagram you are also able to post photos, such as, products you're currently using or loving, as well as the make-up look you're wearing. The awesome thing about this app is that it also allows you to tag the products you're using in the photo, so if you're using a certain lip colour, you can tag your lips and select the brand and shade you're wearing, for others to be able to see and check out.

There all also thousands of product reviews, which include an overall rating, as well as pros and cons and any additional comments a user wants to make about the product. As you can see in the image above, there are also 2 buttons which allow you to save it to your make-up collection or wishlist, or if you were wanting to purchase it, you can click the "Buy Now" button and it will take you to a site that you can purchase it from.

I just wanted to quickly mention I am in no way being sponsored to talk to you all about this app, I just think it's such a great idea for any of you who have an interest in all things beauty related and were after somewhere to interact with others from around the globe, who have the same interests.

Make-up Social is currently only available on the Apple app store, but will be available very soon on the Android Market as well.

Stretchmarks, Scars and Blemishes.... Eeek !

I hope you've all been well ! So I want to talk about something today, that I personally think is still quite a taboo in todays society... Stretchmarks and scars ! Now I know it's not the end of the world, if someone points out a scar or a stretchmark or asks why you have them, but if you are insecure or ashamed about having them in the first place, then chances are it's just going to make you feel even more insecure and bring unwanted attention to them.

I've had stretchmarks pretty much since I was 12 years old. Having gone through puberty basically overnight - I swear I woke up one morning with a pair of boobs and hips - I've had them for quite a long time now and as much as I may not like them, they are a part of me and are there for a reason. I'm not going to sit here and tell you how much I love my stretchmarks or how much I love having them on show for everyone and their dog to see, because I would be lying, but as I'm getting older, I'm learning just to deal with them and accepting them as part of my body. In saying that, I still love trying out my fair share of scar and stretchmark fading lotions and oils and have recently come across the Eco. Erase Natural Body Oil*

Eco. Erase Natural Body Oil contains a range of oils that help nourish and repair the skin, including: Sunflower, Olive, Coconut and Vitamin E. The oil is made in Australia and comes from 100% natural ingredients. It comes in a 95ml bottle, with a snap top lid, which is incredibly secure and won't come open. Another great thing about the bottle, is that it needs a little bit of pressure added to it, to squeeze the oil out the top, so you don't have to worry about it all pouring out into your hand and wasting a lot of it.

The oil is recommended to be applied twice a day on damp skin and massaged gently into the skin. I personally only use it every night after my shower, because let's be real, I'm just to lazy to apply it morning and night. I focus the majority of the oil on my chest, hips and bum, then just rub any remaining oil on my stomach and arms, just for a bit of added moisture to my skin. I've definitely already seen a difference in my skin, with it appearing softer and my stretchmarks less pigmented.

This is definitely no miracle cure for stretchmarks and nothing is going to make them disappear over night, but with continued use, this will assist in benefiting the overall appearance of your skin and help make your stretchmarks look less prominent. When it comes to ways of healing the skin and fading marks, you always have to be realistic, some products will work better for some than others and always remember that it takes time and commitment to regularly applying the product to see any sort of benefit. You won't see them disappear after one application, just like you don't see abs after 30 sit ups haha

I just want to finish off by saying that, whether you choose to do something to speed up the fading of your stretchmarks and scars or not, you should never let anyone else ever make you feel ashamed or embarrassed about having them, no matter where they are on your body :)
