Any instructor who could get a class of some 20 or so girls to follow directions and do the same thing at the same time, had a gift! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It wasn't the health benefits of dance that caught MY eye for ME.  As a woman with a few too many years in a corporate pressure pot, it never occurred to me what a benefit dance might be for a busy professional with too much on her mind.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(153, 0, 0);"&gt;Nooooo it was the sparkly pretty turkish belly dance outfit displayed in the tiny gift shop. OOOH sooo pretty.  Andrea suggested I check out the belly dance classes, I laughed it off.  OHHH Andrea if you only knew I had too much belly for this!  Andrea encouraged me to check it out. Well any teacher than can get 13 or more toddlers to listen and follow instruction, had my rapt attention! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 102);"&gt;My friends and I started Belly and Zumba classes at Love2Dance Studio.. alive with rhythm and expression, a month ago.. dancing was way fun and we enjoy classes of variety- 4 times a week. WFH requires some level of productive working from home, with an intent for progress-- so it's about comfort, and productivity. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt; GUIDING RULES: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span class="status-body"&gt;&lt;span class="entry-content"&gt;Its NOT about just not getting dressed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span class="status-body"&gt;&lt;span class="entry-content"&gt;Its NOT about watching tv and relaxing while answering phone and email.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span class="status-body"&gt;&lt;span class="entry-content"&gt;It IS about deliberately working comfortably getting things done.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span class="status-body"&gt;&lt;span class="entry-content"&gt;It IS about taking a day to rest the environment, the workload, and the wardrobe and just get things done.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;QUESTIONS: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Must I wear Footie Pajamas? &lt;/span&gt; YES, Work from Home In FOOTIE PAJAMAS is for a reason.  You can substitute flannels and funky slipper socks, but this is about warm snuggly pajamas. None of this pretty lacy numbers either..  Warm.. Comfort.  Practical!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Can I change into clothes to take the kids to the bus stop-- it is winter out?  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Yes you may.  But consider some of the liberating alternative options too.  Footie pajamas will fit nicely into a pair of winter crocs, pair that with a funky scarf, hat and mittens and a long coat and you can stay toasty warm, and give the neighbors something to talk about. Wearing footie pajamas all day means you don't need to waste time on socks, foundations, makeup, pants and sweatery layers.. this saves time, energy and conserves on laundry. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Can I shower?  &lt;/span&gt;Oh come on, tell us you don't ask these questions before you go to work every day?  We trust your discretion on this.. Hygiene is important whether in a crowd or home alone.  YES Sure you can save time money and energy by cutting back.. but you also might find a late afternoon shower after a productive days work, quite refreshing.   Please don't think telecommuters don't brush their teeth.. While it is accurate to claim that jobs loss is a serious national problem, it would be an oversimplification to suggest that all we need to do is spend and hire more people to solve the ripple affect this problem creates in healthcare, community well being and our economic structure.   Let us not wait for Government to care for one another and the problems we can solve. At the local and personal level we need to be also caring about our community in a deeper way than the news might cover. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is essential for the well being of our nation that we have plans for what we will do at a Federal level, a State level and at a Community, and at a Personal level.  President Elect, Barack Obama has released plans for what his administration plans to do for &lt;a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081122/ap_on_go_pr_wh/obama_economy"&gt;jobs creation&lt;/a&gt;.   &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At the governmental level, whether national or municipal it is easy for a citizen to claim the problem way bigger than them.  At a Community and Personal level, it is way harder to claim they can make a difference when the problem affects your family, your friends, and neighbors.  Government can sort things like jobs stimulus, tax base analysis, etc.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Jobs Loss" is a nice glossy label for a much larger issue.  Jobs Loss is not just an unfortunate personal inconvenience when it affects the tax base of a community of people who would, if they could, be working today.  It is not a function of laziness or desire for welfare dependence that keeps them from returning to productive income... and yet what can we as a neighbor do, to offer really needed relief to those in need, that would do the same for us, were the tables turned...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are a nation of optimism.  We can take a punch and come back stronger.  We can rebuild and grow to meet the needs of others.. We can do this because we do not wait for our government to really care that the community we represent is caring for one another and caring to help us recognize our personal best.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PLEASE add comments to this message, of great local resources for helping those affected by jobs loss, insurance issues, medical treatment, food and shelter, and utilities care. Gennesaret is an innovative all volunteer nonprofit corporation where event proceeds go directly to help those who are in dire financial straits with family housing and nutrition.   &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last year I ran the race with a goal to finish, and still be breathing.   Funny how the universe reminds you with a sense of humor what you say when you talk to yourself.  I finished the 4 mile, in cold and snowy weather barely breathing because of cold stress induced asthma.  Okay so a 15 minute mile is not blazingly incredible, but it was the idea of finishing when I wasn't sure I could, that appealed to me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This year I run the roadrace, my second &lt;a href="http://shewearscrimson.blogspot.com/2008/03/adenomyosis-and-week-5-post-surgery.html"&gt;since surgery&lt;/a&gt;, with a goal to finish with an average 11 minute mile.  I will finish with gladness, with gratitude, and with joy for my health that is improving every month. been, our own decision and responsibility.  Lean not so heavily in an election spin cycle that you hold yourself out of vibrational alignment with the good that could exist, if only we will take those simple steps to claim them. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Too often we forget to focus on what is important to us. This September 2008, Copley Ohio Township's Board of Trustees Honor Five Individuals for Heroism in a July 28 drowning rescue incident .&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perhaps in "her mind" it was all in a days work... but One of the Five heroes, Elena Gerin &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;(in photo)&lt;/span&gt;, was the next door neighbor who happened to be in the right place at the urgent time.  It was a team effort where everyone's swift training and willing action made the difference between life and death.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Elena teaches advanced CPR and with the swift thinking of a few key individuals, trained to make a difference, a little girl lives, where without such action, she most probably would have perished.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This was a life event well worth noticing.  We got to talk about what it means to be a hero to our kids, from real life example.  Smart, with impressive credentials is not enough to be a hero, still requires willingness to summon the knowledge, the courage, the resolve, and integrity to succeed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;How to choose to be a hero?&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/span&gt; Be ready to help.  knowing CPR, without a willingness to keep skills current to apply it is not enough.   Being ready to help, and able to do what is require regardless of the situation is the very notion of embodied heroism.   What can be more important than breathing for a grade school aged child until they could breath for themself?  What if that child is your own, or your neighbor, or your child's friend?
