Since Memorial weekend is coming up, may I present to you my patriotic ode for America , an American flag inspired outfit. I know , I am such a dork . I just love the combination of the colors red, blue and white. Speaking of memorial weekend , we don't have any big plans, we will just have few people over for barbecue at the patio and swimming in the pool ( if its warm enough ). I looked up for the forecast this coming Monday and it is only on the upper 60s F. I hope it gets warmer than that.
Since memorial weekend is a 3 day weekend, most people go on a short vacation , a camping trip , backyard barbecue , park or beach picnic and also shopping. Summer Trend : Skater romper

Hi beauties ! One of the perks of being petite , is that you can wear a mini dress without having to worry about being too short on you, like when you bend a little and your behind is exposed , unless your intention is to do a bend and snap ( remember the movie Legally Blond ). First impression , you think this is a dress , nope , its a culottes. So its a skater style romper. I love that its a culottes because you don't have to worry when the wind blows off your skirt, the only thing that gets me when wearing rompers is that you have take everything down in the restroom , except your bra if you have one on. So its pretty awkward to be almost all naked in public restrooms , really. Sometimes when wearing rompers, I limit my intake on any sorts of drinks , to limit my bathroom trips. I know, you will end up dehydrated or worst kidney problems. Anyway, I don't wear it every single day and I just only went out for dinner, not an all day escapade. So it wasn't a big deal for me. They should make rompers that have little snap on buttons, like baby onesies, so it's easy when you are ready to go lol. It's just a thought. It was pretty windy at that day, so I figured this blazer will do a good job in keeping me warm , I also love that its floral and very colorful.

My dear beautiful children ,

Since you came into mommy and daddy's life , it was love at first sight. The first time I held you , I know its going to be a magnificent beautiful journey ahead of us. Ever since then , you stretch and challenge me in so many ways that I could not imagine before. When I was still going to dental school and doing my internship. I had this silly crazy idea that ,when I'm going to have a baby, I would stock up some gloves and mask , to use it every time I do my baby's poopy diaper. Just like when im doing a treatment to a patient. Little that I know before, that motherhood is totally different from what you thought It would be. The student in me before, never would have thought that a sight of a poopy diaper would bring me so much joy and calmness, just because you haven't poop for days. I didn't mind the mess as long as your healthy and will be ok. When I was pregnant with you Lucas, in preparation of your arrival I have been reading baby books and baby articles online. I was so happy and excited , as a first timer I was unsure of what to expect. Little that I know , that you my sweet boy will just guide me with ease , you were already a great teacher to mommy in so many ways and you didn't even know how to talk yet at that time. You're that amazing! Same as you my darling Livy, mommy thinks she "knows it all" already , little that I know, you have your own version too of surprising mommy with your girly twist , you remind me to slow down and just calmly ride the change of life. As each of you growing each day, adapting accordingly to each of your own milestone, mommy at times get caught in between on certain circumstances. I strive to get things done . I rush on my own demands .

My patience is being tested. I strive to fight frustration.

Just by the look of your eyes, you remind me to take it easy, and don't let vulnerability gets me so easily. You are both my inspiration , you give me the strength and the reason to live. You both are my purpose in life.

Mommy and daddy are blessed and so proud of you both, just for being here in this world. That alone, you already made such a beautiful and meaningful impact in our lives . As you both grow up and evolve each day doing your day to day things in life moving towards the direction in achieving your dreams and there are times you will get confuse about life. Remember this, you are special , you're beautiful and you mean so much to many.

Laidback weekend style : Vintage Floral

Hi lovelies ! One of my penchants for this summer are florals with a vintage look . Bold bright florals and graphic prints are going to be big this season. I have seen them a lot everywhere now . So to join in the floral bandwagon, Im wearing this vintage floral shorts with a lace embellishments on the sides ,you cant go wrong by pairing it with lace sheer shirt. This is my " mommy uniform" this summer season. When I tag a long my kids anywhere, I have to stay as comfortable as possible. So I opted for loose clothing and flat heeled soles. Im big a fan of loose button down shirt , as a mother of two, its my go to piece of clothing, aside from being comfortable, its trendy too, I just have to play around with colors and prints.

Ombre hair and ombre shirt

Hi beauties ! Its been awhile I haven't done OOTD....just been crazy busy with stuffs going around the house. One of the things I did ,was doing some spring cleaning on my sons room, from his clothes that he grows out with and toys that have been broken and some that he didn't play with it anymore. As I go through all his stuffs, I just can't believe how they grow so fast , how quick their transition and their change of interest on quite a few things. Its amazing how this little peanut, once in my womb and now , a bright ,bubbly and happy go lucky five year old kid, with so many questions about everything and very curios about every little thing. Just one example, my husband told me after he had put our son to bed, He said our son asked him how did we get light , then my hubby answered , its from electricity, then what is electricity...so and so forth follow up question and answer portion. Then even sometimes I found myself not able to answer some questions! and I will just go...."oh mommy will have to do some research about that or I will just go " oh look at the sky isn't it beautiful " some sort of distraction. I feel kind of guilty about the latter part. Kids nowadays are so bright, its amazing and Im so proud him.

Now lets talk about my OOTD, what do you guys think of my new ombre shirt ? I love the subtle floral details and most of all its ombre which matches my new ombre hair. I love that this shirt could in be worn in different ways , with shorts or long pants . Since Im petite Im planning to wear it as a dress too by putting a belt on it...I just need to have short shorts underneath or else my bare butt cheeks will be all over the place....ain't too modest for mommy.

Throwback Thursday : Disney Fantasy

May of 2012 , We went to experience our first 7 days Eastern Carribean family cruise, the inaugural launch of Disney Fantasy Lucas was so excited and gleaming with happiness. He was all smiles, full of energy and non-stop activity. Nothing makes a parent more happier than seeing their child's enthusiasm and enjoying what life has to offer for them. This vacation week was also a big surprise coz its when we found out I was pregnant with my now 3 months old baby Livy.

A Toy Story fanatic he is , Our first stop was Andy's Room, there he was greeted by Rex one of the Toy Story character. He jumped at his back like a flash and said " Mommy you have to take my picture with Rex! " Then he posed, just like that ...pretty much trained eh?!

"OOTD"

It was definitely a fun filled experience for all of us. Tons of activity for kids and adults, I swear to God I couldn't keep up with all the fun activities they offer. There is always something to do, my super energetic son never got bored, when its bedtime he was out in a snap! The service? Thumbs up. They are all friendly and accommodating. Our waiters is ahead of us of what we need. They even cut up the food for him, every dinner time.

They also have a daycare that you can drop off your kids on certain schedules, so that you can do adult stuff. They give your child some activities and projects. Another cool thing about it too, they gave you a cellphone, that only works around the ship of course and they will update you about anything or whether your child wanted to be picked up. Overall our trip was definitely fantastic and memorable. Im glad we did this on the first few weeks of my pregnancy because afterwards I was busy preparing for the coming baby and then taking care of the baby afterwards. So we were glad we were able to do this trip. After the trip , Lucas just raving about how great his vacation was and he wanted to go back there again!

So there, a little sneak peak of my personal life. Aside from fashion, I also love to talk and share to you a bit pieces of my life as a mother, our travels and just about anything goes.

I love this trend, such a clean look. I think anybody can pull off a black and white outfit. Its simple and basic. I love the design of the mesh hem of this dress, its unexpected, modern and youthful. Pairing it with transparent clear sandals is just perfect to go with the dress. Now I'm ready to paint the town red with this black and white ensemble. You don't have to bare all to be sexy. Less is more.

Hi beauties ! How was your weekend ? Me and my family were busy the whole time. Dinner with relatives and running errands here and there. In times like that , my trusted flats is on call for duty. At least the weather wasn't that bad, still a little chilly , but a nice thick comfy sweater is good enough. Spring is here finally ! no more snow, but I cant wait for summer my favorite season. Speaking of Spring.....its time to do some spring cleaning and organization. I already did half of my stuff as well as my kids stuff. Such a wonderful feeling to get things done right?

Hi beauties ! Spring is officially here and so summer is just around the corner. Are you ready to bare some skin with sexy tops and shorty shorts, mini skirts and flirty dresses? How about strutting at the beach or by the pool in a bikini ? Every summer this is always my delimma ,wearing a bikini. If there is one thing im very insecure of my body right now, its my tummy. Obviously, after I had two babies, my skin and my body is not the way it was. My skin lost its thightness and my body have distribution of fats in unwanted places. As of the moment, Im not bikini ready. I need to do something ! So I was thinking , instead of doing some fad diets why don't I do a lifestyle change and start eating more fruits and veggies and be COMMITTED to it. Btw, I was juicing before I got pregnant with my 2nd baby but then I stopped because I throw up after I drink them, like everytime ! seriously. I think its the lemon that makes my stomach more acidic and makes me vomit, omitting the lemon in my juice is impossible. So I stopped maybe for at least 7 months, then I got back to it, but it wasn't daily anymore. Now I have to keep reminding myself to stick to it , I don't want to think that I have to lose weight because it will just put pressure on me and makes me do some drastic measures that's not good for my health. I have 2 kids, I need to take care of myself and with that I need to start eating healthy again. So enough of my ramblings...sorry I got you bored.

Here is my Green Juice recipe :

1/2 of the 24 oz pack spinach
5 stalks celery
1 bunch hearts of romaine lettuce
1 apple
1 pear
1 banana
1 lemon
cilantro ( optional but its good to remove toxins )

Cut up your fruits and hard veggies then put them all in the juicer !

If you don't have a juicer use a blender just add half cup of water or ice. If its too thick you can always add more water . Be experimental ,add a little more lemon or more fruits. Whatever suits your taste buds.

What about you guys, do you do juicing too? Any health ideas and recipes you want to share ?

Spring trend : The Sheer

Hi beauties ! Aside from florals and pastels as a go to outfit for Spring/Summer 13, sheer clothing like chiffon, tulle, lace and georgette are at the top of my go to Spring/Summer list. What I love about it is the drama and the fairy tale look of it. I also love the softness , the flow and the delicateness .Its a sort of like a peekaboo of your assets, kind of like showing something off, of your body part, but not really. Ever since I became a mom, for some reason my style has evolved into more feminine and sophisticated look. I think its because it suits on my lifestyle better, with having children you want to be comfortable and chic at least. Sheer tops are just perfect to that criteria. Here are few snapshots of my OOTD. So what do you guys think ? One question, is pairing it with bright neon strap sandals go perfect with it or a pastel or nude sandals ? I wanted to add a little pop of color in this outfit, that's why I chose to pair these. But I just want to know what you fashionistas think.

Spring Style : Floral denim

Hi beauties ! Today im featuring this floral bleached wash denim by LC lauren Conrad. I love the subtle bleached floral prints of this jeans, but aside from that I also love the fit. On the tag it says skinny jeans but when I tried it on, its a boyfriend style jeans fit on me. I guess their sizes runs big. It doesn't matter if it doesn't fit snugly on the legs coz I always wanted a boyfriend style jeans. Im a big fan of boyfriend jeans, everytime I see somebody wearing them I wish I can wear something like that too but everytime I see one in the stores and try them on. It doesn't fit right coz its way too baggy and I look too short (er). So I got lucky with this one, Im glad I found them. Bonus points: very comfy!

Spring Accessory : Floral Scarf

Hi everyone! Yesterday is the first day of Spring, although its still so cold and there was a little flurry. It doesn't stop me from being happy and just enjoy life in general. Life is too short to complain and get upset on things you can't control. Besides , its not going to be that long for the weather to go back up again. In honor of the first day of Spring, I wore my bright blue and neon floral scarf , match it up with my favorite spring bag which I bought long time ago at Dooney and Burke. I love that both the scarf and bag add a pop of color in this plain, simple and casual outfit. Color does makes a difference, imagine this with neautral accessories...dull. Besides its the first day of spring so lets meet it with flying colors although the weather is not so pleasant enough for spring.

From what I said from my previous post.This candy colored scuba dress also from Arden B. is one of my favorite purchase for my spring wardrobe. I love that it has some black lines along the bodice...kinda like highlights a woman's figure. The only thing that gets me in this body hugging dress is that , you have to have a perfect shapewear to go along in it, not unless you got a perfect flat tummy. But in my case, i just had a baby 2 months ago ,so a shapewear is a must every wear i go for the moment ,but i still need to work out ! Anyhow, my friends threw me a birthday party last weekend.This is the outfit i wore, unfortunately my pictures at the party is not pleasant on the tummy part, as you can see from the BEFORE picture ...i just realize that i didnt wear my shapewear right where its supposed to be. What i mean is, i didnt double it. I only wore one pair of shapewear, it looks fine on the mirror but it looks horrible on the pictures. So when i got home i wore my other pair, i double my shapewear and viola...aint too bad ! I should have done it on the first place...but oh well...too late now. Anyways, on the AFTER picture...im using two kinds of shape wear the DKNY shapewear , its a seamless light control shaping brief with lovely lace on the sides, its very comfortable. I use this a lot coz its so comfy its like underwear, but even before I was pregnant i use it a lot too ,specially when i have my period and if i feel so bloated, this shapewear is just perfect. After i deliver my baby, until now my tummy didn't shrunk back in yet, this DKNY shapewear just didn't make the cut in this body hugging dress as you can see on the BEFORE picture, but if i wear it with jeans its perfect..(bye bye muffin top) . So what other shapewear i use to wear it with the DKNY shapewear in this dress ? I use Maidenform shapewear , its a firm control shapewear . You would ask why didn't you use just the Maidenform shapewear on the first place since its a firm control? I did that too but the result is just the same as the BEFORE picture. So when i double both shapewears, the result .. you can see at the AFTER picture.. it sucks my tummy in, so smooth ,no lines and very comfy. Im sure there are other brands out there that can achieve that. Im just sharing it with you what i did with my shapewears and showed you my trick. Regardless, i still need to workout, there is nothing even better to look good naked rather than just look good in clothes. Ofcourse, its great to look and feel healthy too.

Spring Trend : Pastel studded jacket and Scuba dress

Obviously, most of us living in the east side look forward for the spring/summer season. Aside from the beautiful shift of warmer climate its also the time to showcase bright and light hue clothings. I am inspired of studs right now, even though its been out for awhile. It sparks my interest after reading other fashion blogs and designers showcasing studded ensembles.....does Valentino ring a bell?. Anyhow, each have different portrayal of how they wear it. With my style , i wanted to be subtle and just little details here and there. So when i saw this jacket at ARDEN B. i instantly fell in love, I knew i can pair it with almost anything in my closet ,since i love neutral pastel hues and it compliments more on my tan skintone.It got me more excited because its on sale. Therefore, its meant to be.

This candy colored scuba dress also from Arden B. is one of my favorite purchase for my spring wardrobe. I love that it has some black lines along the bodice...kinda like highlights a woman's figure. The only thing that gets me in this body hugging dress is that , you have to have a perfect shapewear to go along in it, not unless you got a perfect flat tummy. But in my case, i just had a baby 2 months ago ,so a shapewear is a must every wear i go for the moment ,but i still need to work out ! Anyhow, my friends threw me a birthday party last weekend.This is the outfit i wore, unfortunately my pictures at the party is not pleasant on the tummy part...i just realize that i didnt wear my shapewear right where its supposed to be. Its pretty obvious that we still have snow here in the midwest.Im just so tired of this weather.Ok,enough of the complain. I cant wait for spring and summer , as a result of my impatience.I wore a spring inspired outfit yesterday.Big,rich,bold and bright prints.Im so inspired of combining prints on prints.Im always fascinated with colors,florals and vintage inspired prints.

Though this printed cropped trousers that i bought at Loft was last falls collection. I think its a prefect combination with this rich bold paisley top which my friend gave me... I love it, it reminds me of Hermes scarves.
