History

The name "Bohol is said to be derived from the word Bo-ol, a district in the
City of Tagbilaran, where off its waters was located the seat of the powerful
Dapitan Kingdom.

In 1965, the spanish General Miguel Lopez de Legazpi anchored his fleet in Bohol
and forged a blood compact with the native Boholano chieftain, Datu Sikatuna.
The pact is considered as the first international trety of friendship, prompting the
Philippine Government to establish the Order of Sikatuna, a presidential decoration
conferred upon diplomats.

In 1596, two Jesuit missionaries arrived and started the Christianization of the
island from the town of Baclayon and spreading to the inland town of Loboc and later,
to the northern towns. The most imposing stone churches that still exist to this day
were built throughout the 19th century by the Jesuits and the Augustinian Recollects
who took over the former's missionary work in 1768. During the Spanish regime, two
significant revolts occured in Bohol. One was the Tamblot Uprising in 1621 and the
other, the Dagohoy Rebellion, known as the longest revolt in Philippine history,
which lasted for 85 years.

In 1854, Bohol became a politico-military district separate from Cebu and Tagbilaran
was designated as capital of the new province.

The Spanish regime was followed by the American colonial rule during which many schools
were established in the province. With the end of World War II in 1945, Bohol gradually
progressed, harnessing its wealth of natural and cultural resources, and emerging
today as a major tourist destination in the Philippines.

The Bohol Branch of the National Museum, Located in the downtown area of Tagbilaran City
(beside the Bohol Provincial Capitol), houses the artifacts and relics during Bohol's
prehistoric times as it also showcases the richness of the flora and fauna of the island.

Aside from setting the number of post display in our homepage.There is also a way how to limit the number of post display in Label. Label commonly called Category in Wordpress.

You are writing about 200 post in different labels or categories.

So when we hit the label those post will probably display and it takes longer to display in your page and its boring to read all of them. In blogger only 20 post display limited to a Label. So we have once thought of this how to set limitation lower than 20 ?

Crown. They symbol of power, might and royalty. And when one wears a crown, he or she is expected to be good; to be the best; to be perfect. And with that greatness instilled in the mind of people as they look up to the one wearing the crown, he or she is envied.

It has been known that great people talk about ideas and small people talk about other people. Though this saying is almost a cliche, still we choose to be the "small" people. It is somehow disappointing that it has become part of the Filipino culture. And i know for even an ordinary student like me can relate well.

Princess Diana, who wore a crown of royal blood, wass well loved by the commoners. Still an ordinary person caused her death. Venus Raj, who is with a crown of beauty. brought pride to our country through an international pageant. Still, she was remembered by her own kababayans not as the queen of Filipina beauty but the queen of "major-major" wrong answer. And Shamcey Sup-Sup who won the 3rd place of Miss Universe during the competition and she also brought as one of the gorgeous woman in our country.

It is just so disheartening how you can easily talk about other people's mistakes but can't face the fact you are being judgemental; how you can easily condemn other people's actions without looking at your own, and how you can easily spread rumor about other people without even verifying its veracity.

You see, the small ordinary people always try to pull those with crowns down. And if you are that person with a crown, prove your worth. On the contrary, if you are the small person, you better learn how to apologize. Because a simple 5 letter word which spells S-O-R-R-Y means a lot.

And as i've said, the person with a crown is envied - by envious people and by people who just have nothing to do but say something about different things - even if those things are nonsense and more so not true.

I may look at myself differently as another person sees me. And that may be true to you too. But anyhow, it doesnt really matter. What matters is how you look at yourself, may it be the way they look at yourself, may it be the way they look at you or not. You may have your friends and family around you the whole day. But at the end of each day, there is only one person who constantly stays with you: that's YOURSELF. Trust yourself more than anybody else, more than your fans, or your paparazzis.

And be yourself, not because they want you to be but because you are happy being that person. Don't mind those people whom you can't please because actually, you can't please because actually, you can't really please everybody.

Each of us is a royalty in our own ways. So, what are you still doing out there? Tie your cape on carry your scepter, and wear your crown. And, hey! Don't forget to smile and wave =)

and talented rather, they have something prosaic. If you try to correlate all the circumstances between these prominet individuals, you can decipher the code leading to their popularity and the reason for their acclaimed reputations. It is not because of the wits, not the looks and definitely not because of money. It's because of YOUTUBE!

With just one click and their videos can soar up to 1,000,000 views and get discovered by Oprah, Lady Gaga or Usher.We cannot deny the fact that media has a great impact to an individual. It can either make or break somebody's image. Lots of videos uploaded on Youtube are not that great and entertaining; some are scandalous and complete waste of time. Is there a need for them to act indecently to get noticed? Do they need to upload videos that are rubbish in order to get 50,000 dislikes and 2,560 likes and get criticized? Seemingly, Youtube is not just a venue for wanna-be's, it also gives a negative impact to the society for it can be an instrument of bad publicity.

Let us face it, Youtube is not just a money-maker, it's a life changer. Thanks to Youtube, celeb hopefuls became real celebrities.

We may think that the effects of technological advancements may be all bad, but in these predicaments, we stand corrected. Youtube revolutionized the way people stream videos, adapted to the effects of technology to the society and gave a bit of excitement to the world of fantasy. Certainly, Youtube changes lives.

I wonder how Youtube could change my life.

Facebook Addiction Disorder of Many People

Do you log into Facebook before you take a bath? Change your profile picture every 12 hours at minimum? "Like" every post that appears on your News Feed? Play a Facebook game til dawn just so your crops would not rot or your restaurant won't go dirty

or your pet would not die? Make a Facebook account for your pet cats and dogs? Or post a new status update every 3 minutes? Do you have Facebook Addiction Disorder?

Facebook Addiction Disorder (or FAD) is simply being addicted to Facebook! This happens when you cannot eat, talk, laugh, breathe or simply live without Facebook. And yes, you should be worried.

The way technology has advanced over the years is something we cannot deny. And these advancements have lead to drastic changes in the way we communicate with other people, the way we organize activities, and the way we make our lives easier. Gone were the days when people actually greeted you "Happy Birthday!" personally; they had settle for a post on your wall. Gone too are the days when boys would visit you in your house as efforts to court a girl; now, they think their consistent "LIKES" and "WALL POST of sweet-talk" are already good enough to win a girl's heart.

We have learned the art of SPYING and STALKING other people's walls because confronting them about something needs a huge amount of confidence. And lastly, we have left behind our families because we have gone too busy keeping up with our FB accounts. Don't you see it? FACEBOOK is SLOWLY RUINING OUR LIVES!! But sadly, we still log in, we still post, we still comment, and still go on living the cyclical life of what we have become - addicted to.

But when we come to think of it, what has Facebook done wrong? Basically, the real problem here is us - the Facebook users. Facebook is a mere program, a form of entertainment that offers some positive aspects of living too. Facebook doesn't always give out negative results; it produces some good out of us every once in a while. The only problem is that these positive aspects are overshadowed by us and our capacity to overuse the essence of a simple thing. We need to control ourselves. Think again. Think hard.

What do we truly need to change? Moderation - that is what we need. I am not telling you to commit Facebook Suicide (therefore, deactivate your account). I am merely trying to shake your temporary stance into a more productive output. Talk to other people, share experiences and get to know them better, right way. Look at the mirror and realize that you don't need a good profile picture to prove that you are beautiful. Go out once in a while and see the world in a personal perspective while you still have the time; it might just look a whole lot better than in tagged pictures. Stop worrying about your crops, restaurants, fishes, or pets; try taking care of a real one instead! Stand up and stretch while we are still youg; because when we grow old, all we will ever be capable of doing is sitting down. Most importantly, spend ample amount of time with family because they matter the most.

Will you try to stop your addiction

Applying Gradient text in photoshop

In photoshop we can apply for gradient blending effect for text. In my tutorial i write "CINDY" as my text sample. Gradient effect is somewhat like your combining 2 or more colors to a certain layer. Here i applied my gradient effect to this text. However you might have an option to customize your own

gradient combination color. There is a difference between a gradient and a plain text only because having this one look more attractive to put as a title. Much more captivating to look forward too. Follow this step carefully.

Step 1:
Open you photoshop to any version you have. Then go to File > New. A new canvas size will appear to set your new canvas.

Step 2:
As default Width has = 1024 and Height has = 768 in terms of pixels. Just click the Ok button automatically. You can apply your own canvas size later.

Step 3:
Having our new Canvas we start typing a text. As my sample i wrote "CINDY" i chose Arial Black as my font style.

Step 4:
As what i've observed my text are too small. I forgot to adjust my font size before typing. But in these case this is what i most like having a transformation to a layer. To adjust your own size with this text. Just press CTRL + T then a box will appear.

Step 5:
In this step will going to pull the box right size to adjust the size of this text to see larger than the previous. If you can chose your own size then hit Enter in your keyboard.

Step 6:
Go to your layer box located at the right panel of your screen. Find and click the layer named "CINDY". Once you have selected this. The layer will change into blue. Like this.

Step 7:
Add a layer style. Now select Gradient Overlay

Step 8:
Follow this image carefully. Click the drop down arrow to have a multiple selection of gradient. Then select the yellow/orange color combination.

Step 9:
Now click the encircled gradient. So that we can customize our own color combination for our text. When you click that correctly a box will appear afterwards.

Step 10:
First click the encircled image below then 2nd click below the first encircled image. So that we change the value of color into your own selected color. After choosing then click Ok button.

Step 11:
Here how it looks for changing the value # of colors. Value # like " ffff00 ", "#ff6e02" and others.
change everything. Change the 3 slider small box to your own color value #. Just click that box. For changing color value just refer Step 10.

Make a little experiment to have your own unique result. As my experiment it will result like this.Finished dont forget to leave comment. Thank you.

photo make over in photoshop

In this article. We will discuss for photo make over using photoshop. Many are using make-ups before taking up a photo shoot whereas we can apply this to photoshop in a simple way. Learning this tutorials can now apply to your own without or having make-up.

Follow this simple step.

Step 1:
Load your selected picture in photoshop. Next create a New Layer located in the right panel of your photoshop.

Step 2:
On your Tool Box. Select Brush. Right Click on a girl photo then select Soft Round Pixel brush having a diameter size 17.

Step 4:
On your Tool Box select Color then change the value # depends what color you are going to choose for putting make up with that girl. For me i've selected a RED color.

Step 5:
On your Layer Box.Select layer named "Layer 1" Change the Normal to Color. So that we can a make-up in this layer. This layer serves as a container for putting make-up with this girl. See this image below

Step 6:
Now Brush the check of that girl with 1-2 click only. With the Soft Brush 17 round pixels from the step 2.

Step 7:
Now press CTRL + T in your keyboard. Then pull over the transformation upward right. This means we will going to scattered that make-up filling the check of that girl for looking more realistic not clowny.

Continue Here: ( After Pull Over ) This look more realistic than the previous step

Step 8:
On your Layer Box click Layer 1 then change the opacity 70% located above the Layer 1. This means we will reduce the opacity of the make-up so that it will not look strong and solid but it will look more soft and light color to look more natural.

Step 9:
Duplicate the Layer 1 by pressing CTRL + J becasue we will put this another Layer into left side of her check. Copying layer is a shortcut way so that we cant repeat this process again. After pressing CTRL + J you can now drag that copied layer into left side of her check. Then erase the mess part of that make up using ERASER.

Step 10: Erasing the mess part of make up of her left check

After Erasing the mess part of her check this can be done like this:

I putted add-ups of her lips to match the color of her check, hair and her clothes. =)
