What better way to start Fall off than to have a Tent Sale? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We did it during the summer and it was a HUGE hit so we're doing it again this weekend. From the 23rd to the 26th the big top will be set up in our parking lot and it will be filled with appliances for up to 70% off the suggested retail price. Last one's, scratch and dents, closeouts, returns...ALL on sale. Pick it up or we will deliver it to you. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is the best time to grab a freezer for the garage, a refrigerator for the basement, a new set of laundry or even a new stove that may have a dent that will be hidden in your cabinetry. All these are ready to sell, today. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't let the sale slip away! Come on down and save!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-6196421830909516630?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/09/tent-is-upthe-sale-is-on.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-4399860826795649335</guid><pubDate>Thu, 09 Sep 2010 18:17:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-09-09T14:49:53.582-04:00</atom:updated><title>Percy's Loves Giving Stuff Away For Free</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Not literally...but kinda. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Percy's guarantees at least two "weather" promotions, 1 in the Spring, and one in the Fall that offer free merchandise if a certain something occurs. The Spring promo is the temperature promo (&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;if the temp hits 92º or higher on July 4th your purchase is free&lt;/span&gt;), and the Fall promo is the snow promo (&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;if it snows 6" or more on Christmas Day your purchase is free&lt;/span&gt;). Sometimes we throw a sports promo in there too. Depends on the economy, sports teams being favorable, etc. We did a Celtics promo a few years back when the Celtics won the championship and everyone who bought TV's got them for merely the tax cost. Percy's paid them all back for the cost of the TV. The odds look good this year. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Brady and company are poised for greatness this year and we're due for our 4th title in less than 10 years. Our chances look good this year so in light of this, Percy's is offering another free deal. If the Pat's win the big game this February in Dallas, your Mitsubishi HDTV or Mattress Set will be free! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Purchase any Mitsubishi DLP 65"or higher any Mitsubishi LED HDTV 40" or higher or any Mattress Set over $499 all this week and keep an eye on the Pat's because if THEY win...YOU win.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To learn more about these promos, click &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-football_promo2.aspx"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-4399860826795649335?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/09/percys-loves-giving-stuff-away-for-free.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-714921364539716722</guid><pubDate>Fri, 13 Aug 2010 17:06:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-08-13T13:45:50.521-04:00</atom:updated><title>Save 6.25%...GUARANTEED</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;It's been 2 years since the Mass State Government signed off on a "Tax Free Weekend" and fortunately for us, this year they have signed away on it. That's right, this weekend only, you can come in and buy whatever you want and the tax is on the state on a purchase of $2,500 and under. Sorry, no Ferrari's for Christmas this year. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most business have 10% off, 20% off, even 50% off sales on items all the time...why is this weekend so huge? A lot of people like to think it's a nice gesture given to them by the state and who are they to pass it up. I'd agree. If someone gives you a free pass to do something and they aren't going to charge you for it, I'd do it! Especially when you can purchase, say, that $1,400 laundry pair you've been looking at for a while. You never think "ok it's $1,400 for the pair BUT THEN I have to pay an extra $87.50 in sales tax." Your purchase that you figured in your head as being $1,400 now jumped up to $1,487.50. Not what you had in mind. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To be able to walk in the store and say "I'll take that laundry pair for $1,400 and not a penny more"...is a good day in my book.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Percy's is proud to accommodate you with whatever appliance, electronics, furniture or bedding purchase you need and even prouder to give you a receipt with a $0.00 in the tax column. We're also proud to offer an additional 10-30% off on items in our store just to say thank you. (restrictions apply see store for details) So come down to Percy's this Saturday or Sunday and shop tax free. We've extended our hours Saturday and Sunday to 9am to 7pm and 11am to 6pm respectively. As always go to &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/"&gt;www.percys.com&lt;/a&gt; to learn more on this once a year promotion. Remember, there's no guarantee this will happen again so act now!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-714921364539716722?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/08/save-625guaranteed.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-7081062264631966518</guid><pubDate>Thu, 22 Jul 2010 12:55:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-07-22T10:39:03.935-04:00</atom:updated><title>It's a RIOT!!</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Get the barricades! No matter what you do, it STILL has a funky odor that comes from it after every wash and you wonder if your clothes are even getting clean or not! Well we've sold thousands and thousands of Affresh and it's become a staple for customers that own a front load washer. But does it work and what should those customers who have top load washers do?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Affresh does work to a degree. It does it's job but I found it lacked longtime effects. Not even a week later I found that the washer started smelling again. So what can I use to repair the moldy issue, while at the same time keeping the washer clean from now on? Enter Tide Washer Cleaner. It's a powder base and not a "puck" that you put in the washer dispenser and not in the drum. It works for both front load and top load washers and is the only one on the market of it's kind. So...does it work?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I tried a box of it (3 packets per box much like Affresh) and I'm &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;amazed&lt;/span&gt;. My front load washer had been getting a little smelly and even though my wife and I would use Affresh and would also use Lysol wipes from time to time, it still became a little moldy. Tide's directions is for pre-existing "odor problem's", use one packet a week for 3 weeks in a row and you will notice a big difference. So I tried this. And it's like night and day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The last packet I put in the washer was about 3 weeks ago and the washer still smells fresh and clean. What the directions also say, is that when the wash cycle ends, open the door and the detergent door and the smell will freshen your room. Now some say that the fragrance is too strong, but I find it to be refreshing and not that strong. It has totally changed the inside smell of my washer and I've found that my clothes smell much cleaner when they come out. Now we still leave the washer door open after a wash cycle so that it will dry out, but so far no more mold!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can try it for yourself too. I encourage you to try one box of it. If you don't want to do the three week challenge, then use it much like Affresh and put it in the washer once a month. You will definitely notice a huge difference in the smell of your washer and even the smell of your clothes. We sell it as a &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/pc-7073-507-tide-wx10x10011-washing-machine-cleaner-single-pack.aspx"&gt;single box&lt;/a&gt; (3 packets), a &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/pc-7071-507-tide-wx10x10011-washing-machine-cleaner-3-pack-bundle.aspx"&gt;three pack&lt;/a&gt; (9 packets) and a &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/pc-7072-507-tide-wx10x10011-washing-machine-cleaner-6-pack-bundle.aspx"&gt;six pack&lt;/a&gt; (18 packets).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Try it today and let me know how it works for you!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-2230307685341658570?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/06/new-tide-front-load-and-top-load-washer.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/TBoYQBtIXxI/AAAAAAAAAVI/w-PakTAGC4Y/s72-c/02601.jpg" height="72" width="72" /><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-1297310815699765425</guid><pubDate>Fri, 28 May 2010 16:20:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-05-28T18:42:26.941-04:00</atom:updated><title>It's That Time Of Year Again!</title><description>I know we have a lot of readers of our blog but not quite sure where all of you are from. Some may be from the Massachusetts area, some may be from out of state. Either way, if any of you have noticed, this year is ramping up to be a WARM summer. It's not even June here and the other day I got in my car around 2pm and the outdoor temperature gauge said 100º. 100! That's mega hot for the New England area for this time of year. It's all shaping up to be like this throughout the summer and into the fall. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So why does all this matter? Because we WANT it to hit 92º on July 4th, 2010. Why? Because if you come down shopping at Percy's this Memorial Day weekend, whatever you buy will be free (minus taxes) if it hits 92º on July 4th, 2010!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last year came close but this year seems to be even warmer than any year that I've been here. My fingers are crossed on this one! I tried to look into a possible weather forecast for that day but came up empty. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We have great savings throughout the store for you this holiday weekend and what better than to have the possibility that it would be free??? We also have A/C's in stock starting at $99 ready to help cool you off during this warm summer!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For complete details and for our advertised great deals, click &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-current_newspaper_ad.aspx"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take care this holiday weekend,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-1297310815699765425?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/05/its-that-time-of-year-again.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-4526578235913988221</guid><pubDate>Tue, 04 May 2010 12:44:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-05-04T10:10:31.091-04:00</atom:updated><title>Now That The Dust Has Settled...</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The cash for clunkers program last year brought a lot of revenue to the auto industry. Customers got HUGE incentives for trading in their clunker car, truck, van or SUV when they bought a brand new car. They got even more savings when they bought a hybrid. The program was a success and thousands of customers got new cars and we helped save the ozone layer. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fast forward a year or so...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The next stimulus that hit was the cash for clunkers appliance program. This program was designed to help customers who were using non energy star appliances, trade those "clunkers" in and get a new more energy efficient model at a discounted rate. Each state pretty much got a dollar per person to spend at their own discretion. The state of Massachusetts has about 6.2 million people living here so we got...$6.2 million to spend in rebates as we saw fit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think there was only one state that was offering bigger rebates than we were. Mind you, we as the people of Massachusetts, had rebate dollar breakdowns that looked like this:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Refrigerator: $200&lt;br /&gt;Washer: $175&lt;br /&gt;Dishwasher: $250&lt;br /&gt;Freezer: $75&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kansas on the other hand, decided to distribute their rebates like this:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Refrigerator: $700&lt;br /&gt;Washer: $800&lt;br /&gt;Dishwasher: $400&lt;br /&gt;Freezer: $600&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wow. I think the weirdest thing about Kansas is that the program started on December 15th and lasted until January 28th before the $2.7 million was depleted. Massachusetts so far is the quickest of the ten states/territories to deplete their money and we did it at a record rate. The money went at $50,000 per minute and roughly $833 per second. Texas was also completed on the same day but they weren't as quick as Massachusetts. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, all in all, it was great for all the appliance dealers, AND was even bigger for those customers who ACTUALLY got through and got a reservation. Now we all know that the computers crashed, that the phone lines only took 133 out of 900,000+ phone calls, etc. etc. etc...BUT. The state DID step up and gave all those $6.2 million to those who reserved it, and also the additional $2 million in "waiting" will also get their check from the state later this spring/early summer. But what about all who wasn't able to participate?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;According to mass.gov, "In addition, the Patrick-Murray Administration will offer a new round of energy efficient appliance rebates this summer. These rebates will be awarded through a lottery or other random selection method, rather than on first come-first served basis. Details will be announced here in coming weeks."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's to hoping round 2 is a little better!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-4526578235913988221?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/05/now-that-dust-has-settled.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-5926149652251292326</guid><pubDate>Mon, 19 Apr 2010 19:01:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-04-19T15:20:14.242-04:00</atom:updated><title>Why Wait? Save TODAY!</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;I couldn't come up with a bigger slogan. I mean the sale that's about to happen in t-minus 3 days is going to be monumental. No bigger sale will ever come to the state of Massachusetts with the amount of rebates they are giving out. $250 for a dishwasher, $200 for a refrigerator, $175 for a washer and $50 for a freezer. Unbelievable. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What's even more exciting is that we are taking &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;pre&lt;/span&gt;-orders as I type this blog. "Say what?", you say? That's right. Come to Percy's NOW...not Thursday...and make your selections. We'll process your credit card on Thursday and you can go ahead and then go online to http://www.masssave.org/residential to fill out your form to get the rebate for your appliance selection(s). "Why do this", do you ask? Simple. Why wait in lines forever in the morning on Thursday to make a mad dash for the incredible savings that Percy's is having? Why not take advantage now? It's the easiest decision you'll make. Thursday will be Black Friday all over again. But bigger. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For more information click &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-masssave_faq.aspx"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-5926149652251292326?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/04/why-wait-save-today.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-388225807093281929</guid><pubDate>Fri, 02 Apr 2010 13:04:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-04-06T15:02:31.419-04:00</atom:updated><title>Mass Save Great Appliance Exchange</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/S7YMFGyHndI/AAAAAAAAAVA/WKCegHzwaP0/s1600/masssave_alan.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 363px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/S7YMFGyHndI/AAAAAAAAAVA/WKCegHzwaP0/s400/masssave_alan.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5455561280465640914" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;April 22&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;nd&lt;/span&gt;, 2010. The 40&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;th&lt;/span&gt; anniversary of Earth Day. This will be the day that will go down in history for the state of Massachusetts. If you have a dishwasher that is older than your home, if you have a refrigerator that leaks more than it cools, if you have a washer that dirties your clothes more than washes them, and if you have a freezer that only &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;wishes&lt;/span&gt; it could freeze...you need to come to Percy's starting April 22&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;nd&lt;/span&gt;, 2010 to save big on newer ENERGY STAR models.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Mass Save Great Appliance Exchange is a part of the funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The government wants to help Americans help the planet by saving water and energy. In doing so, they are offering HUGE rebates when you purchase a qualifying ENERGY STAR appliance from April 22&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;nd&lt;/span&gt;, 2010 to May 5&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;th&lt;/span&gt;, 2010. There are some stipulations though. For instance, you MUST pick from a list of qualifying appliances. You MUST call or go online for a reservation number from Mass &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;Save's&lt;/span&gt; website. You MUST have an old non-ENERGY STAR appliance to recycle. There are a few more too. You can view all the information at our website &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-masssave.aspx"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;. If you have questions, there is an &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-masssave_faq.aspx"&gt;FAQ section&lt;/a&gt; on our website &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-masssave_faq.aspx"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt; too. The bottom line...if you take a few simple steps you could save a lot of money.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But forget about just the Mass Save rebate, Percy's will be offering you those rebates, municipality rebates, &lt;span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"&gt;and&lt;/span&gt; we'll have vendor exclusive rebates just for shopping at Percy's. There will be some instances where a dishwasher could be $99* or FREE* after all your rebates come in. How can you go wrong with that? You will never, ever, ever see a sale like this ever again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So. If you have a non-ENERGY STAR appliance that desperately needs to be replaced, start thinking about all the money you will save when you come to Percy's. You'll be so happy you did.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can sign up for email updates as they become available to us on &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-masssave.aspx"&gt;this page&lt;/a&gt; as well. Check back here too for more info as I get it including a list of qualifying appliances so you can start shopping for what's right for you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;*after mail-in rebates. first come first serve. quantities limited&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-388225807093281929?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/04/mass-save-great-appliance-exchange.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/S7YMFGyHndI/AAAAAAAAAVA/WKCegHzwaP0/s72-c/masssave_alan.jpg" height="72" width="72" /><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-8276474387686527767</guid><pubDate>Tue, 16 Mar 2010 14:05:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-03-16T10:20:35.105-04:00</atom:updated><title>Water. Friend or Foe?</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;There are a lot of people in Eastern Massachusetts who woke up this morning, put the toast in the toaster, watched the news, brushed their teeth, got their kids ready, and hopped in their paddle boat and made their way into work. Yes, it's been raining what feels like forever in Massachusetts and it FINALLY stopped this morning but the damages are already done. Rivers are overflowing, coastal flooding is a reality, basements are being pumped out and people have been searching for dry ground for 4 days now. Water in this instance....foe.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On a lighter note, the Cash for Appliances has &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;trickled&lt;/span&gt; it's way into Massachusetts and will be overflowing our state next month. The exact dates are April 22 and running through May 5, 2010. It gives you only 14 days to buy an Energy Star Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Washer, or Freezer and save $50-$250. On March 22&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;nd&lt;/span&gt; &lt;a href="http://www.masssave.com/residential/lighting-and-appliances/get-the-facts/the-great-appliance-exchange/?utm_source=press&amp;amp;utm_medium=press&amp;amp;utm_campaign=GAX"&gt;this site&lt;/a&gt; should have an updated list of appliances that qualify and should have $$$ on how much you'll get back for a rebate. This WILL BE, the best time to buy. Car companies always say that winter is the time to buy because it's the lowest costs because &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;nobody's&lt;/span&gt; buying....well, this will be the best time to buy appliances because you'll be getting back huge rebates on energy star appliances! Water in THIS instance...friend!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you would like to sign up for our email blast on when this will happen and what qualifies, &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-cashforclunkers.aspx"&gt;click here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-8276474387686527767?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/03/water-friend-or-foe.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-2215813687136946388</guid><pubDate>Fri, 19 Feb 2010 18:20:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-02-19T14:31:45.112-05:00</atom:updated><title>The Concept of Cooking for 2050 in 2010 with Electrolux</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Imagine this for a moment. Never cooking with pots again. (Guys, that means LESS cleaning for you right?) Never worrying about that recipe you can never find. Never not having too much cooking space. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;Electrolux&lt;/span&gt; has developed a concept that will revolutionize the way we cook and eat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's called "Heart of the Home".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/S37e7JsbROI/AAAAAAAAAUw/_AQiLEsHVqA/s1600-h/electrolux_cmyk_02_notes-1024x569.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 222px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/S37e7JsbROI/AAAAAAAAAUw/_AQiLEsHVqA/s400/electrolux_cmyk_02_notes-1024x569.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440030507706041570" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;It's a mind-boggling piece of artwork that ACTUALLY serves a purpose. The idea is that the UK believes that the population in the Urban areas will be up to 74% by 2050 (it was only 29% back in 1950). These alarming numbers sparked interest to try to develop simplified living while conserving as much space as possible. You'd think they'd start with like a hide-away bed in the floor, &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;TV's&lt;/span&gt; that were simply a sheet of glass on the wall, I mean you can copy a ton of ideas from that movie Minority Report for starters! Why start with a something that will cook food? Because they can that's why.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"The Heart of the Home" as they call it is a great thought and would seem do-able to a degree, but there are some aspects of this that seem almost sci-&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;fi'ish&lt;/span&gt;. Lets look at their idea:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First, the cooking surface would be able to detect the food you put on the cooking surface and will pull up a list of recipes that pertain to that food. Immediately my mind floats to fresh broccoli that you want to steam. Maybe potatoes you want to boil to make mashed potatoes? How would one do that?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Second, once you pick the recipe, you measure out (with your hand), how big the cooking surface should be and then you push the surface down to make an indent (if needed for that type of food) to begin the cooking process. &lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/S37lwZreYYI/AAAAAAAAAU4/5MgsNpVU9Oc/s1600-h/electrolux_cmyk_03_notes-1024x690.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 270px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/S37lwZreYYI/AAAAAAAAAU4/5MgsNpVU9Oc/s400/electrolux_cmyk_03_notes-1024x690.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440038019599851906" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Finally you can control the heat and time it would take to cook with the touch of a finger. THAT to me seems like the only thing obtainable and believable at this current point in time. I mean, to have the ability to be able to push down on the cooking surface to make it like a pot, then cooking or boiling in it, serving from it, attempting to clean it, and then having to re-form the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;cooktop&lt;/span&gt; to make it look flat again??? It just doesn't seem do-able to me. BUT! The concept is incredible, the design is stunning, and the features and benefits are definitely problem solving. Check out this video below for a detailed view of this concept.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;object height="380" width="450"&gt;&lt;/object&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;object height="380" width="450"&gt;&lt;param value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qwLpquelYFI&amp;amp;hl=en_GB&amp;amp;fs=1&amp;amp;" name="movie"&gt;&lt;/object&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;object height="380" width="450"&gt;&lt;param value="true" name="allowFullScreen"&gt;&lt;/object&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;object height="380" width="450"&gt;&lt;param value="always" name="allowscriptaccess"&gt;&lt;embed allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qwLpquelYFI&amp;amp;hl=en_GB&amp;amp;fs=1&amp;amp;" height="380" width="450"&gt;&lt;/embed&gt;&lt;/object&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-2215813687136946388?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/02/concept-of-cooking-for-2050-in-2010.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/S37e7JsbROI/AAAAAAAAAUw/_AQiLEsHVqA/s72-c/electrolux_cmyk_02_notes-1024x569.jpg" height="72" width="72" /><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-4062611011141801591</guid><pubDate>Wed, 10 Feb 2010 11:56:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-02-10T08:25:48.717-05:00</atom:updated><title>Sound The Whiteout Alarm!!</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The nation's capital has had the most snow it's seen in years. They got around 2' of snow this past weekend and are getting 18 to 24" of additional snow today. To make matters worse, Baltimore has weathermen like &lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpxiCxO5k0g"&gt;this guy&lt;/a&gt;...going NUTS over 22" of snow??? Crazy. We proud people in New England think its no big deal and take it in stride. It seems as though our snow blowers get more action than our lawnmowers! But it comes with the territory. That same snow is effecting us in Massachusetts today and a lot of people are sleeping in today. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So while you're sitting at home today because it's a school day, your office is closed, or maybe you're AT the office reading this...check out &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-cashforclunkers.aspx"&gt;our page&lt;/a&gt; on the Cash for Appliances promotion. I've talked about this before and the promotion start date is coming real soon. This page is an informational spot you can go to get up-to-date information on when it will start and how much money will be given out. There are links to our local government pages and there's a sign up section to fill in and we'll email you when the time comes for this promotion to start. The monies are still unreleased and the date is still unknown but we are told it will happen soon. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Enjoy the day, enjoy the snow but remember to drive safe.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-4062611011141801591?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/02/sound-whiteout-alarm.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-383389714064753111</guid><pubDate>Tue, 26 Jan 2010 16:03:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-01-26T14:55:58.069-05:00</atom:updated><title>It's Boston Sports...Why Have It Any Other Way?</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;If you live in New England and if you've ever turned on a TV you've always been inundated with Boston sports. It's on every channel whether it's the Black &amp;amp; Gold, the Pats, the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;Sox&lt;/span&gt; or the Celts, you're either watching the game or watching the highlights. And whether you're a fan or not, something about it is infectious. Now you may be the type that says "not for me" and you stick by it. For some reason to you Boston sports, or ANY sports, for that matter are just too boring. But I'll tell ya...when you're THERE, it's a whole '&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;nother&lt;/span&gt; ball game...literally.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had an opportunity to go to the TD Bank Garden last night for the first time and watch the Celtics play the Clippers. Now I consider myself a "Boston Fan"...to a degree. I love the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;Sox&lt;/span&gt; and the Pats and I thoroughly enjoy watching a Bruins game from time to time on my high def TV but I never got into the Celtics. It doesn't make me a BAD Boston Fan, it just means that to me, basketball isn't a sport I watch. Since the huge lockout back in 1998-99, I lost sight in why I loved the game. I still have my basketball card collection and I still have my memories of following the teams and players, but once that season hit I saw the ugly side of basketball and that was all about the money. Players and teams feuding about money that held the season back to 50 games instead of 82 games. Something about that kept me from following it all these years. Now I'm not going to say I'm going to go and jump on any bandwagon, but the game was fun last night. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've been to &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;Fenway&lt;/span&gt; Park only 4 times in my life. 3 times to see the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;Sox&lt;/span&gt; play, and 1 time to see Dave Matthews Band. I've been to 2 Patriots games at Gillette &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;Stadium&lt;/span&gt;, but never have I been to the TD Garden until last night. The best part of going to &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6"&gt;Fenway&lt;/span&gt; and going to Gillette is hearing those Boston fans and hearing them cheer at the top of their lungs (no matter how cold outside it is). The sound sends trembles through your stomach like you're on a &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7"&gt;free fall&lt;/span&gt; on a roller coaster. You can't help but get on your feet and cheer along...even if it's "not for you". Same rang true for the Celtics last night. Except for them, it's an indoor &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8"&gt;coliseum&lt;/span&gt;. When the game started going in our favor, those fans went nuts and my ears were borderline deaf from the sound that was coming from them. This brought me back to why I love sports. Boston fans are the best in the world and it's evident when you watch the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9"&gt;Sox&lt;/span&gt; play the Blue Jays for example, and there are more red jerseys in the seats than blue jerseys. That's dedication. So will I follow the Celtics now? Maybe. I love being a "Boston Fan" and plan on being one for the rest of my days.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Broadcast companies are doing a better job with sound and making it feel like you're there, at the stadium, cheering on the home team. Some of us wish we can have that in our own &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10"&gt;living room&lt;/span&gt; but don't want to spend a lot of money. Believe it or not, you CAN have that without breaking the bank. Come to Percy's and have one of our electronics specialists remind you what it really sounds like to be in the park...minus the hot dogs, sausage, pizza....mmmmm...sorry.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We have packages from in the box simple solutions including Sony, &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11"&gt;Samsung&lt;/span&gt; &amp;amp; LG to full blown home theater rooms. If you want in-wall speakers, home theater seating, and the power of the game in your living room, you owe it to your self, to the other fans of Boston, to at least come and experience it. You'll be surprised how inexpensive a system can be that makes a HUGE difference. We also have interest free financing available for all electronics over $499. Check out our audio section &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-audio.aspx"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt; for more information.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-383389714064753111?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/01/its-boston-sportswhy-have-it-any-other_26.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-961762534536114797</guid><pubDate>Mon, 11 Jan 2010 13:23:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2010-01-11T09:46:34.382-05:00</atom:updated><title>Well, You Gotta Root For Someone...</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&gt; Baltimore vs. Indianapolis&lt;br /&gt;&gt; Arizona vs. New Orleans&lt;br /&gt;&gt; Dallas vs. Minnesota&lt;br /&gt;&gt; NY Jets vs. SD Chargers&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The New England Patriots ended their 2009 season yesterday against a brutal Baltimore team. It wasn't a pretty game and if you ask me, it was probably one of the worst games of the season and was totally played on the wrong Sunday. If it was played say week 5 it would be ok. We'd brush it off as a bad game and move on. But we have a reputation of being the best in the post season, when in the post season, and we blew it. More importantly, I personally feel we didn't even deserve to be in the post season in the first place, but that's my own opinion. I think it was a good re-building year and it's necessary to build the next generation 'Patriots Dynasty'. Would we have won this game had we had Bruschi, Vrabel, Harrison or Seymour? What about Welker? I don't think so. The Ravens wanted to win more than we did and they proved it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So who should we as New Englander's root for now? Well here is the tricky part because we all know Indy is still in it and may have a chance. All kidding aside, Manning is ready to surpass Brady as the best quarterback in the last decade EVEN though Brady has 3 Super Bowl rings. Manning has better numbers, more MVP's, and a Super Bowl of his own. And how about the fact that Brady and Manning are actually good friends? They email/text each other each week and have a good respectable relationship together, even though every Patriots fan thinks otherwise. So should we root for Manning and the Colts?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well look who we're up against. We don't like the Chargers, the Saints wailed on us this year, who wants to support Romo?, the Ravens just tanked us, the Jets are...well the Jets, so what's left now? The Cardinals, the Vikings, and the Colts. To me the best Super Bowl would be the Vikings and the Colts. Why? Well, I think Favre needs to have his time and go. Granted he's a great quarterback, but I can't seem to accept the leave/come back, leave/come back mentality that he has. Do I want the Colts to win??? No. But I want to give Favre a run for his money. I want a Championship to come because he proved his worth, not because it was handed to him by the Jets or someone else. That's my prediction. 28-24 Vikings. Triple Stamp it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On a lighter note, if you watched yesterday's upset on a 20" tube TV...then it's time to experience the game in High Def. If it's hard to read the numbers on the players jersey's, or even harder to read the score...then you definitely need to upgrade. Come to Percy's and see why you've been missing the best in high definition today. I'll keep updating as the weeks go by. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-961762534536114797?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2010/01/well-you-gotta-root-for-someone.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-2023921369479975735</guid><pubDate>Thu, 31 Dec 2009 13:56:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-12-31T09:12:47.478-05:00</atom:updated><title>You Are About To Say "Are You Kidding Me?"</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;This is what I said and I KNOW that this is what you'll say too. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was flipping around the google news section with "appliances" in the search header looking for any up-to-date appliance news for our blog like I usually do, and something grabbed my eye.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The header said "White Christmas Earns Some Free Appliances". No, unfortunately the report wasn't about Percy's in Worcester. However, it was about an appliance store in Fort Scott KANSAS!!! (Ok, now you can say "&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"&gt;Are You Kidding Me?&lt;/span&gt;").&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.wibw.com/localnews/headlines/80387422.html"&gt;www.wibw.com&lt;/a&gt;'s website posted the story and it reads:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="headlines" id="storyText"&gt;&lt;p&gt;"&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;...Denny Heidrick started a tradition at his Fort Scott appliance store more than ten years ago. Make a major purchase in the two weeks after Black Friday and, if three inches of snow falls Christmas Eve, it's free!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript"&gt;if (self['plpm'] &amp;&amp; plpm['Mid-Story Ad']) document.write('&lt;table style="\" border="\"&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td align="\" valign="\"&gt;');if (self['plpm'] &amp;&amp; plpm['Mid-Story Ad']){ document.write(plpm['Mid-Story Ad']);} else { if(self['plurp'] &amp;&amp; plurp['97']){} else {document.write('&lt;scr'+'ipt language="Javascript" type="text/javascript" src="http://cas.clickability.com/cas/cas.js?r='+Math.random()+'&amp;p=97&amp;c=6500&amp;m=67&amp;d=323606&amp;pre=%3Ctable+style%3D%22float+%3A+right%3B%22+border%3D%220%22%3E%3Ctbody%3E%3Ctr%3E%3Ctd+align%3D%22center%22+valign%3D%22bottom%22%3E&amp;post=%3C%2Ftd%3E%3C%2Ftr%3E%3C%2Ftbody%3E%3C%2Ftable%3E"&gt;&lt;/scr'+'ipt&gt;'); } }if (self['plpm'] &amp;&amp; plpm['Mid-Story Ad']) document.write('&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;');&lt;/script&gt;&lt;script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript" src="http://cas.clickability.com/cas/cas.js?r=0.33647959626109336&amp;amp;p=97&amp;amp;c=6500&amp;amp;m=67&amp;amp;d=323606&amp;amp;pre=%3Ctable+style%3D%22float+%3A+right%3B%22+border%3D%220%22%3E%3Ctbody%3E%3Ctr%3E%3Ctd+align%3D%22center%22+valign%3D%22bottom%22%3E&amp;amp;post=%3C%2Ftd%3E%3C%2Ftr%3E%3C%2Ftbody%3E%3C%2Ftable%3E"&gt;&lt;/script&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;This is the first time customers are able to cash in....&lt;/span&gt;"&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I have a lot of things flying around in my head right now and all of them don't make any sense.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;1. Why on earth would anyone bet snowfall in Kansas? Kansas averages around 10" ALL YEAR. (Massachusetts averages 64" - 84" all year) It's almost impossible to hit three inches in Kansas in one day let alone in a year.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;2. With the snowfall averages in Massachusetts wouldn't you think that that would be Percy's name in that storyline?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;It's baffling to me. Oh well, congratulations to all in Fort Scott who are enjoying their free dishwasher right about now. Don't worry New England....2010 is gonna be our year. I can feel it. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="headlines" id="storyText"&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Have a safe and happy new year.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Take Care, &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="headlines" id="storyText"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-2023921369479975735?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2009/12/you-are-about-to-say-are-you-kidding-me.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-8249204048216312374</guid><pubDate>Tue, 29 Dec 2009 17:24:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-12-29T14:50:15.252-05:00</atom:updated><title>A New Year Resolution Worth Doing</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Wow. Talk about a New England weather flop! We recorded less than an inch of snow on Christmas Day unfortunately, but the day AFTER Christmas was 51º! How was that possible? I can remember a few years ago there was a Thunderstorm the day after Christmas so it's not too unbelievable. But I hope everyone's holiday was a great one. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The dawn of a New Year is around the corner and I once again haven't come up with any New Year's Resolutions. None. However, I would think that most people would like to become more "Earth Conscious" and to save more energy, but that may not have hit the top ten New Year's Resolution list. Shouldn't it have?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;According to &lt;a href="http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2454100/top_10_new_years_resolutions_for_2010.html?cat=2"&gt;Associated Content&lt;/a&gt;, these are the top ten New Year's Resolutions for 2010:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;"&gt;10 - Stop Smoking.&lt;/span&gt; That is a good one to do obviously. The even more obvious reason should be the fact that it's almost $10 a pack here in Massachusetts so if you're a pack a day...you get my drift.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;"&gt;9 - Be Nicer To Other People.&lt;/span&gt; Who wouldn't want to be?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;8 - Quit Drinking.&lt;/span&gt; Same reason as #10 would be the cost value but also health is always a resolution as a whole and quitting drinking greatly reduces liver damage. No this is not your Mother talking.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;"&gt;7 - Quit Taking Recreational Drugs.&lt;/span&gt; I'm not going to get to much into this but again....health. Biggie.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;6 - Spend More Time With My Family.&lt;/span&gt; With the economy the way that it is, money is becoming a hot commodity and in a lot of cases, more work = more money. If you have a wife/husband with kids at home and you're spending 90 hours a week working just to make more money, you need to think about how it's effecting them too. Some people want to strive to spend more time with the fam and companies have to accommodate for this!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;"&gt;5 - Read More Books.&lt;/span&gt; C'mon, they even have books on electronic devices now. If you're a tech junkie?...buy a ebook reader and read more. Your brain will thank you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;4 -&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;Expand My Horizons By Learning Something New or Taking Up A Hobby That Doesn't Involve A Computer.&lt;/span&gt; No...Bejeweled isn't a hobby. Learn a new language, build model airplanes, write a short story that maybe only you would read. It doesn't have to be Oprah's best seller, just something from the heart. Maybe it's time to turn the TV off for an hour a night and try something we wouldn't normally do...like paint! That's what I did! Very therapeutic .&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;3 -&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;(This is probably where "Become More Energy Efficient" should land)&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;"&gt;Organize My Life So My Time Is Spent More Efficiently.&lt;/span&gt; My desk is visible proof of this. There are so many free avenues of ways to keep us more organized. I'll give you one tip. Only one. If you have Gmail, you can click on Calendar and setup an appointment. More importantly, you can have the reminder emailed to you or even to your Blackberry or iPhone. I just recently started using it because my brain is turning to mush, but it helps. I now remember some of the more useless things that I would ALWAYS forget about for some reason. The best quote I've ever read is "&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance&lt;/span&gt;". Say that 2 times fast...I dare you!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;2 - Go On A Diet/Lose Weight.&lt;/span&gt; No explanation needed here! We all could afford to do it. (See #4)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;1 - Get Out Of Debt And Handle My Money Better.&lt;/span&gt; You, me and the Government all need to aspire to do this this year. EVERYONE!! It's hard but it needs to be done.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So there you have it. Feel free to flip the pencil over and erase the ones you want to put on the top shelf for now labeled "Come Back To This Later". We all do it. Let's all strive to get 1 thing accomplished this year we set out to do. I'll promise as long as you do too. &lt;em&gt; &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-8249204048216312374?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2009/12/new-year-resolution-worth-doing.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-3034768060201695238</guid><pubDate>Thu, 24 Dec 2009 18:48:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-12-24T14:13:45.478-05:00</atom:updated><title>Need A Christmas Miracle...</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;It's Christmas Eve. Some of you are driving, flying or taking a train to see your family tonight or tomorrow. If you're going to the Midwest there is a ton of snow falling on one side, and tornado warnings on the other side. The Northeast? Not so much.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've been monitoring the situation from my desk at Percy's on Gold Star Boulevard in Worcester, and it's not looking good. The average temperature for tomorrow will be between 38º and 41º. Precipitation is only at 10% possibility. The chance of 6" of snow is now lowered to around 1% at this point. So, we are in desperate need of a Christmas miracle! I've set up a little section &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/t-store_hours.aspx"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt; that you can check on after Christmas Day has finished. Click the link to see the official measurements from the National Weather Service. FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I would like to wish all you and yours a very Happy Holiday this year. Wherever you are, whoever you're with, may your holiday be bright.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And as always...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-3034768060201695238?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2009/12/need-christmas-miracle.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-8574687457987005164</guid><pubDate>Thu, 17 Dec 2009 13:13:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-12-17T08:48:47.586-05:00</atom:updated><title>WWW.WEATHER.COM Dreaming of A White Christmas?</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;It's cold. I mean, it's freezing. I feel bad for some radio hosts that I'm listening to right now, they're walking and collecting money to feed the hungry. They're doing the annual "Walk and Rock for Change" collecting money for the Worcester County/Greater Boston and New Hampshire Food Banks. Good luck to them, they're doing a good thing for the needy this holiday season. It will probably feel about 2º outside with the windchill, so I hope they keep warm.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They said that this winter wouldn't be AS bad as last year. If you remember last year we got pretty good snow amounts and we had bitter cold days. We also had the Ice Storm of '08 that cut down many people's power and heat for almost 2 weeks. With high hopes of a White Christmas, people came to Percy's during the Black Friday weekend and any purchase they made could have been free if it snowed 6" or more on Christmas Day. If I remember correctly, we got a huge snow heap the day AFTER Christmas. So sadly, nobody won in 2008.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This year the odds are a little higher. I decided to check www.weather.com yesterday to see if there were any updates on when and if snow would fall next week (Christmas Day) and I came &lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/Syo0TYHKoiI/AAAAAAAAAUo/C1qKhSZLeEw/s1600-h/map_whtxmas_fcst_3usne_enus_440x297.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 270px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/Syo0TYHKoiI/AAAAAAAAAUo/C1qKhSZLeEw/s400/map_whtxmas_fcst_3usne_enus_440x297.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416199009361109538" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;across something alarming. It is supposed to snow Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We have a 60% chance of snow on Christmas Day! So all you customers who came out and shopped on Black Friday in 2009, there is a better chance of snow on this day over last year! Keep those fingers crossed. Remember, the 6" HAS to be reported at the Worcester Airport in order to be a success. Thankfully, the Worcester Airport is up on one of the many Worcester Hills so snowfall is more likely to accumulate. I'll keep you posted.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-8574687457987005164?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2009/12/wwwweathercom-dreaming-of-white.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/Syo0TYHKoiI/AAAAAAAAAUo/C1qKhSZLeEw/s72-c/map_whtxmas_fcst_3usne_enus_440x297.jpg" height="72" width="72" /><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-8718930565652887018</guid><pubDate>Tue, 08 Dec 2009 13:00:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-12-08T09:15:11.371-05:00</atom:updated><title>Ready To Wrap, Ready To Give</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;It's the Christmas Season again. I have exactly 17 days to start my Christmas shopping. I can't help procrastinating year in and year out, it just happens. I'm telling you, I always end up at &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;CVS&lt;/span&gt; an hour before my Christmas Eve party buying my $5 grab. It's horrible. As you sit and read this blog I hope you're shopping is done (or at least almost done). I can remember hearing customers at previous retail stores I've worked in, saying that AFTER Christmas, mere days after the holiday, they are DONE shopping for the next year. I wish I could be more like them. Celebrate the holiday, prep for the next one, and wait 362 some odd days to give the gifts! But sadly, 98% of Americans are more like me....they wait. I don't know if we wait for the best last minute deals?...or we're just way too busy to think about it?...or could it be that EVERYONE goes to the mall at the same time and there isn't enough Tylenol in the bottle to overcome it? Whatever it is, it is...what it is.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm going to try and eliminate SOME of the pressure of holiday purchasing. Percy's has a &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/c-495-percys-holiday-gift-guide.aspx"&gt;holiday gift guide&lt;/a&gt; and a section of &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/c-494-under-200-gift-ideas.aspx"&gt;gifts for under $200&lt;/a&gt;. We've got some video game systems, portable &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;dvd&lt;/span&gt; players, &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;iPod&lt;/span&gt; docks, digital picture frames, and some more great gift ideas for NOW. Not for an hour before the store closes on Christmas Eve. Don't wait! Beat the procrastinating bug this holiday season.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-8718930565652887018?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2009/12/ready-to-wrap-ready-to-give.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-2832503392258650414</guid><pubDate>Fri, 27 Nov 2009 15:42:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-11-27T10:57:09.744-05:00</atom:updated><title>If It Snows 6" or More...</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;...on Christmas Day, your purchase will be FREE! Yes, it's already that time again. Each year time seems to get shorter and shorter, but alas, it's time again for Black Friday. The turkey is in the fridge awaiting two pieces of bread, the stuffing and potato are gone, pies are chilling for another round of feasting today, and people were are out in their PJ's at stores just after midnight tonight for that killer deal. Oh how I love the holidays. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We here at Percy's offer a lot of those killer deals here too with killer pricing but our angle is a little off skew with everyone &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;else's&lt;/span&gt; offers. We don't just offer the big screen &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;TV's&lt;/span&gt; for under $700, or the 1 year no interest financing, or the $99 &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;Blu&lt;/span&gt;-ray players, nope...we've gone above and beyond everyone else. We're selling everything this weekend at low, low prices and are boldly stating that if it snows 6" or more on Christmas Day at the Worcester Airport from 12:01 AM to 11:59 PM...we'll pay off your entire purchase. Yup. Everything you'll buy (excluding tax) will be totally free.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So how would a 60" Mitsubishi &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;DLP&lt;/span&gt; 1080p HDTV sound at a low price of $799? How about if it snows 6" or more on Christmas Day and it costs $0 (excluding tax)? Why buy elsewhere for the same products when you can shop at Percy's and pay nothing extra for the chance that it could be free? It just makes sense to not shop anywhere else. We've also got some perfect furniture packages with some &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;HDTV's&lt;/span&gt; and &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;Blu&lt;/span&gt;-ray players that are priced just right for the holiday and remember, it could be free!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;See our ad in the Telegram &amp;amp; Gazette or view it online &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/flashpageflip/default.html"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;. I've seen seasons come and go, ad campaigns come and go, fads come and go, Furby's come and go, but nothing compares to Black Friday. I used to work for a big chain and I used to have to go into work on Black Friday at around 3am. When I GOT there at 3am, a line had already been forming and was about 300 people deep...at least. It is without a doubt the busiest shopping day og the year. So why get up at 1am or earlier just to beat the crowds???&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How about beating the crowds this Sunday? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This Sunday (November 22nd) come to Percy's and buy your Christmas gifts early. We're releasing some of our many specials early so you don't have to rush after Thanksgiving. Take the day off, laugh at your friends who are out in the cold...because you bought yours early. Buy Early. Save Early.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can see the deals &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/c-493-pre-black-friday.aspx"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;. Pricing may not be correct if it's not the 22nd of November.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-5722833641197433147?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2009/11/how-about-sleeping-in-black-friday.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-1988902093629778272</guid><pubDate>Mon, 16 Nov 2009 19:58:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-11-16T15:28:40.070-05:00</atom:updated><title>TV's For Everyone This Holiday</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The highest anticipated Christmas gift last year was a nice, big, shiny new flat panel High-Def TV. Most people saw the $3,000 to $5,000 price tag on the average size desired (42"), and said "Ehhhhh, I'll wait." The waiting is over!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most 42" Flat Panel HDTV's are priced (on average) from $999 to $2,000 depending on what you buy. Some plasmas may be more expensive and some LCD's may be more expensive, it all depends on what features you're looking for. Either way, the price is a green light for some and they'll have one with a red bow on it on December 25th under their tree. 720p is the economic High-Def TV that you'll still find in stores, but 1080p is what people have been waiting for the price to drop on. 1080p is considered TRUE FULL HD and will give you the best quality. Although 1080p is the highest, you have to question whether or not there will be any higher resolution. I mean they went from tube staticy resolution to 720p to 1080p in a long time, yet technology is advancing 10 times quicker so there has to be something......and there is.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They are working on what they call Super Hi-Vision. You see, 1080p is basically 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution. Super Hi-Vision is claiming to have 7680 × 4320 pixels, four times as wide and four times as high as existing HDTV. I can't even fathom what that would even look like. I mean 1080p looks really good to me, so how would 4320p look? Should you hold off? No. Japan is working on this now and they have to build it from the ground up. The date that they may have a working prototype won't be until at least 2020.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So until then, 1080p will continue to drop in price and more and more HD channels will be unveiled on your cable or satellite provider. See one of our sales specialists to see what type is right for you. And check back closer to Black Friday to see the best deals all year on Flat Panel HDTV's. Keep the spot under the tree warm for now...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-1988902093629778272?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2009/11/tvs-for-everyone-this-holiday.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-9020011370751461905</guid><pubDate>Wed, 11 Nov 2009 16:04:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-11-11T13:01:51.933-05:00</atom:updated><title>"Would you like a sofa with that?"</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Years ago when you went to any drive thru burger joint, customers would order a burger and the old saying goes, that the person taking the order, would say "Would you like fries with that?" Nowadays when you go through the drive thru it's "Would you like to make it large?" No we're not selling french fries, however we ARE selling furniture now. So I think the new slogan should read "Would you like a sofa with that?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/Svr6U8nt5lI/AAAAAAAAAUg/QN854Bbf2Fg/s1600-h/klaussner_logo.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 281px; height: 94px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/Svr6U8nt5lI/AAAAAAAAAUg/QN854Bbf2Fg/s400/klaussner_logo.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5402905940761372242" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;Percy's introduces Klaussner Furniture. Klaussner is a furniture brand based out of Asheboro, NC and has been privately owned since 1979. They distribute their furniture to furniture stores all over the world and have 4 Klaussnerhome stores of their own. They are affiliated with a fabricator company in NC that makes their foam and also have a center located in Iowa. With these locations, they pride themselves on being one of the quickest turnaround companies when it comes to special ordering furniture. As a matter of fact, on their website it says,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"&gt;"With the company offering more than 500 styles, 600 fabric choices and over 75 leathers, plus the fastest delivery times in the industry on custom orders, consumers can have what they want, how they want it, when they want it"&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kinda sounds like a burger joint slogan doesn't it? Not only is it fast, it's comfortable. Percy's is carrying 4 styles including a bonded leather set. Within these 4 styles are a bunch of color options and are all readily available within 4 weeks as a special order. We have sofas, loveseats, chairs, ottomans, occasional tables, and sectionals.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But not only do we carry the furniture, but we've also bundled some of the furniture with some TV's. We have a Samsung 50" package starting at $1,499 and a Mitsubishi 65" DLP package starting at $1,999. You have to come and sit in front of these TV's on the furniture included in the package and feel &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;and&lt;/span&gt; see the difference. Come see one of our specialists today! You can see some of the furniture &lt;a href="http://www.percys.com/m-129-klaussner.aspx"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take Care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-9020011370751461905?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2009/11/would-you-like-sofa-with-that.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" url="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_IkQpIT-ydMc/Svr6U8nt5lI/AAAAAAAAAUg/QN854Bbf2Fg/s72-c/klaussner_logo.jpg" height="72" width="72" /><thr:total>0</thr:total></item><item><guid isPermaLink="false">tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2799387519588520524.post-3587762909710006183</guid><pubDate>Fri, 23 Oct 2009 17:17:00 +0000</pubDate><atom:updated>2009-10-28T11:30:56.903-04:00</atom:updated><title>Cash For Your "Clunker'd" Appliance</title><description>&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;I know I'm a little slow on relaying this info, however, &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;now's&lt;/span&gt; a good a time as any. A lot of you remember the whole Cash for Clunker program founded by the government to help stimulate the economy and also help get Americans into a newer car with fewer emissions? It was the first step this country took in helping make a cleaner Earth (under the new administration) and basically help get people into new cars. According to sources over 690,000 cars were sold during this period and dealers like Honda had record sales made as well. So what about that squeaky washer? What about that refrigerator that barely keeps the milk at a safe drinkable temperature while at the same time draining the town's energy surplus? Why can't you get a break? I mean after all, you have a good, reliable car and weren't able to participate in the cash for clunkers so, why can't you get SOMETHING?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, hopefully late 2009, early 2010 you will. States now are starting to get approvals from the DOE (Department of Energy) for their stimulus programs that will take place starting hopefully sometime in November and will run until all funding has been exhausted. While the dollar amounts aren't clear for each particular appliance category, the government has released a list of all categories that will qualify:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Boilers&lt;br /&gt;* Central air conditioners&lt;br /&gt;* Clothes washers&lt;br /&gt;* Dishwashers&lt;br /&gt;* Freezers&lt;br /&gt;* Furnaces (oil and gas)&lt;br /&gt;* Heat pumps (air source and geothermal)&lt;br /&gt;* Refrigerators&lt;br /&gt;* Room air conditioners&lt;br /&gt;* Water heaters&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Boston.com stated "The appliances eligible for a rebate and the amounts of those rebates will vary from state to state however the DOE has recommended that rebates of $50 dollars to $250 dollars be offered...". They go on to say, "Massachusetts will receive $6.2 million dollars to fund their rebate program. The plan submitted by the Patrick administration is currently being reviewed by the DOE. If approved, the Massachusetts Home Appliance Energy Efficiency Rebate Program will begin in February 2010 and will continue as long as the rebates last. Under the Massachusetts program, rebates are expected to be issued for purchases of new, qualified, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers and clothes washers. The amounts of those rebates are not yet known."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Boston.com also goes on to say in another article exactly how many old appliances will be kicked to the curb and roughly how much energy will actually be saved. "The state estimates that 27,000 old, inefficient refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers and clothes washers could be taken out of service, saving about 2.6 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So there you have it. If a car clunker program can sell 690,000 cars, how many Energy Star appliances do you think can be sold? I mean, this program won't get the astronomical $5 billion that the cash for clunker car program got, but $300 million seems reasonable when you look at a $4,500 rebate versus a possible $250 rebate. What's next? Rebates for windows?...rebates for dog houses?...rebates for pens?....how about a new computer???&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Stay tuned here for up to date info on this new government program.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take care,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-Brian&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2799387519588520524-3587762909710006183?l=percyswebstore.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><link>http://percyswebstore.blogspot.com/2009/10/cash-for-your-clunkerd-appliance.html</link><author>noreply@blogger.com (Percy's)</author><thr:total>0</thr:total></item></channel></rss>
