I had another player but the display was almost impossible to read and the remote was so weak I had to get no more than 1inch away from the player. This player resolved all these problems, good display visibility, powerful remote. In addition, the sound quality is very good,and the transmitter has a signal that covers easily weak stations.The goose neck mount is very useful to orient the player away from the gear shifter. I am using a 4GB SD card but don't know the maximum capacity. A very good purchase.

This does not work for my ipod or ipad with the controls. It plugs in through the headset and will not control anything on the ipod, just sound. The remote won't work with it, the usb is not supported, and the steering wheel remote will only work for the volume on the main device that plugs into the cigarette lighter. You have to manually unplug the device to turn it off. After 5 days the base of the wire that connects to my ipod came apart. I am returning this with no intention of ever purchasing one of their products anymore. It looks very cool, but that's the extent of it. If you want functionality, keep looking and don't disappoint yourself.

I bought the PYLE 19in Monitor/DVD combo to keep my kids entertained on long road trips. After we had it installed we found out the monitor didn't work so we sent it back ($50+ shipping we had to pay for) and got a new one. Got the 2nd one installed only to find out the DVD player wouldn't read any discs and put nasty scratches on the discs that we tried to play. My husband and I and the installation tech tried to contact PYLE several times and got no answer and no return calls or email responses so we returned the 2nd one (again, another $50+ in shipping we had to pay for). Don't waste your money or your time with this product - it's a piece of junk! And after their lack of support, we'll never buy another PYLE product again.

I have to admit i paid a little more than i would have liked and think it's something to be considered as this one leans toward the higher end, higher priced flip screen market. I made my decision after much research and a little constructive criticism...the main objective was to afford the flip screen once with no regrets or wishes.
Impeccable screen quality, very well built...the hinges roll smooth, very much like my laptop lid..this one allows for headphone use and stereo speaker sound around, the modulator and IR transmitter are awesome.
This was the best possible monitor i could find in this price range...it's everything i could expect and more, probably one you shouldn't miss.

Wow! The picture on this Lcd is unbelievable! I replaced my older model flip down with this motorized monitor, very cool. Hooked up to my rear view camera, no problem. Every option on this monitor works perfect, high quality low price, can't beat it.

Had this pyle dvd radio plts76du for about a month now and its awesome the sound is clear and powerful 320watts everything works on this radio the aux sound for ipod or even a netbook computer with low sound just to transfer your sound through the radio speakers plays great the usb works great with the flasah drive mp3 awesome also the sd card the dvd screen is flawless in normal lit coditions but if theres alot of sunlight aimed directly at the screen the screen looks a little milky other than that this dvd radio is awesome the dvd plays great the picture quality especially at night is awesome, havent connected the back up camera yet but radio shop tested and was okay.

I don't normally write reviews, but I decided I should for this product since there aren't many and I think the manufacturer deserves credit. I've used Power Acoustik amps and speakers before and liked them a lot. The company produces quality products but gets non-name-brand prices. So I wasn't too scared rolling the dice on this unit. I've been using it for a half a year now and it hasn't disappointed.
Sound is just fine. I doubt its audiophile quality, but it will stand with a good portion of the Sonys and the Pioneers. My one gripe there is that it doesn't seem to filter the low pass signals out of the main channels if you tell it to output to the sub channel, but this is a relatively minor problem and if you're not using a sub, you won't even care. The volume is sufficient.
Menu/control system is pretty good. You get some geek cred for having a touch screen and the basic functions are as you would expect. The external controls on the faceplate are a little weird. I definitely would have made the source easier to change than scrolling through by tapping the power button (I've never accidentally shut it off though--it's just you would think this would get its own button). I do like having the call pick-up and disconnect buttons that you can use when the faceplate is down.
iPod control is weird and I honestly don't use it. It's 100x easier to navigate your songs on the iPod itself. But I don't have use the custom ipod input because the basic audio input off a headphone jack is all i need there anyway and it lets me set my iPod in the console right side up. I suppose if I got into video on my ipod I'd give the ipod control another try, but it doesn't really worry me.
The Bluetooth handsfree option works fairly well. When someone calls you, no matter what screen you are in, it mutes your music, comes up with who it is and lets you choose to answer. It will also dial out strait from the head unit and interface with your phone's phonebook. It had troubles interfacing with mine. I actually prefer to just make the call from the phone and then the head unit takes over. I'm still out on whether I find the audio quality acceptable. In town its fine, but at highway speeds I think it picks up too much noise. Still, it's definitely usable.
Movies are pretty good. They can be a little washed out in the day depending on where the sun is etc., but generally the picture is great. I also like that it's not just a DVD player but a divx/xvid player and can use SD and USB storage devices. I haven't really used it, but I like knowing its there. If I did want to watch movies etc, I'd definately be using more the xvid/divx stuff than off the ipod. My one grip is that you have to use the remote for some of the navigation of the movie menus. I wish this was all touch screen, but you don't need it that often.
Navigation is the killer app for me. I just love it. It's also the part that I was most ambivalent about since there were no reviews of it. Well I'm glad I took the plunge. It's $200 extra, but well worth it. It's well programmed, you won't have a problem switching from a Garmin or a TomTom. It finds the satellites a lot quicker than my Garmin too, and I assume (though I don't have many tall buildings or mountains around me that it will hold on signal better there as well. And I have the antenna buried behind my glovebox. I imagine if I gave it more prominent positioning, the signal would be even better. The maps seem to be better than my garmin: it has less unnamed streets in my experience. And the fact that it's built into your dash and you don't have to sucker it onto your windshield is great. I'm really interested if anyone knows about software updates for it (just because I'm geeky that way). The website it points to doesn't seem to exist. You can quickly switch between your nav screen and your audio screens. You can continue listening to your source audio while in the nav screen and you can continue to get audio nav directions when off of the nav screen.
The security feature sort of scares me. The removable part isn't all that noticable when it's removed. It doesn't seem like much of a deterrent, which is all that really matters. I once had a head unit with top of the line smart card security. Well, it was stolen even though the card was out. All the thieves got was a dead stereo, but that didn't help me any. Anyways, this unit is so reasonably priced that I think the risk is worth it.
So all and all: everything is a little rough around the edges, it seems like it was designed a little hastily--maybe by the engineers, but it's feature-rich and most of the features work well. Great product...manufacturer was very helpful in the installation process..first installer said it could not be installed in a Honda van..manufacturer said that it could be done..went to a second installer and he completed it in 2 hours and at a cheaper price..
If you have a professional complete the installation, the manufacturer extends the warrantee from one year to three years...the unit comes in black, but includes the necessary parts to have it be grey or tan. The dvd player sends the signal thru the an FM signal to your radio, so the sound of the dvd player goes thru all the speakers in the radio. Once your child can use headphones, then the signal will go to them, and you then can listen to your radio again
Only problem so far is that the remote does not work very easily, but the controls on the front of the unit are very user friendly and easy to get to.
Our daughter loves the dvd player and it keeps her entertained while in the van... I would recommend the Boss DVD player, as it was one third the cost of the dvd player that the car dealer installs and twice the size of the screen..a win..win..

I ordered this unit from Amazon last week as it had all the specs I was looking for. It did not disappoint. I installed the unit in my '08 Toyota Sienna, and not only does it look great, but functions great as well. The picture is good, and the FM modulator works well too. We bought 3 IR headphones for the kids, and they work well too.
We will be using this for the first time on a road trip to Palm Springs, so we're excited to keep the kids occupied during the long drive.
Just a little note - I first was going to have this installed at Fry's Electronics. I did not get the feeling the people I talked to at the 2 different branches knew what they were talking about. They tried to up-sell me on things I knew I didn't need (like a DIFFERENT FM modulator), and also said they would need to install a bracket in my headliner that would drop down a couple inches. This just didn't sound right to me. I took the unit to Best Buy instead (install would cost $30 more than Fry's). He wired my RCA cables under the seats for free, didn't try to up-sell me on things, and made the unit look fantastic. (no ugly drop-down brackets needed) Best Buy also has a lifetime warranty on their service, which makes me feel happy about the work they did. I know you can't judge a COMPANY by their employees, but I just happened to have a much better experience with Best Buy's $200 install.

good picture quality difficult installation delay on start-up. this system works quite well, but has a few major design/engineering flaws. it seems to missing a means of connecting to a power source, i had to supply my own cable. there is a 4 second lag from when the vehicle is put in-to reverse until the picture comes on. the worst part is the blue mirror, it is absolutely atrocious cannot see anything in it.

As another reviewer said, the mirror's reflection is very dim and purple, which defeats its main required function as a mirror.
I didn't bother going as far as wiring up the power to check out the video as it isn't plug and play. Need to do some splicing to supply camera and mirror with power and I knew I was just going to undo it anyway.

If you like your SD to be fried( Damaged irreparably) pls buy it. I got this item and used a 16 GB Kingston SD card to try to play music from the car. For 15 mins the lcd said 'waiting' and finally said ' no device'. I ran inside to check the card and behold nor my pc neither my 2 camera's recognize the SD card. I contacted them right away and after 4 days, they refunded my payment. Duh ! What a nice gesture! I should be happy right? Wrong - I lost precious memories of my little one (pics) not to mention the $ 80 card WTF? Jack Sheng if you read this, you ought to better test a product before pushing it out to consumers. I have taken a better route to resolve this besides posting feedback. The customer support is terrible - One email reply in a day! ridiculous! Yep, 5 bucks which cost me $35.00.
The thing played well enough. Occasional popping sound, but all in all, I was pretty pleased! What a deal Than I removed it from my Aux. outlet, and the piece of cp left the tip of itself inside my outlet. O.k., I re-inserted the device, turned it a couple of times, and after a few tries managed to get it to screw back onto it's tip, and pull it out. Nice, except it damaged my outlet, which needed to be replaced.
Stay away from this garbage, break down and spend at least $20.00 on one that won't disintegrate if you drop it, or gawd forbid, try to remove it from your outlet.
Save yourself the hassle, and stay away!

I ordered two of these for my 09 Impala so the grandkids could watch movies on the 8 hour trip to and from their house. I paired it with a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT in the dash DVD player. Installation instructions are pretty much a joke, with poorly translated English which did provide me with a few laughs during installation. After this installation, I feel that I am an expert in DVD installation in the Impala: As on-line documentation on this install is non-existent, anyone with questions can comment to this post and I will be glad to help.
Of the two units I received, one did not work out of the box. The problem was in the harness, as both monitors would work on one of them. Amazon sent a pre-paid mailing label to return it and I received the replacement in a couple of weeks. The replacement works great also.
The first monitor has decent color for what it cost, but the replacement unit was a newer model with different controls and the colors were more accurate. The tan covering is darker than the neutral cloth interior in the impala, but not offensive. The zipper covers are really nice, as the units are concealed for the most part when not in-use. I have yet to get the speakers on the monitors to work, but that is probably an error on my part so I haven't deducted a point for that. Not a problem for me, as I use the car speakers when playing.
FYI: these units come with TWO different sets of posts so they should fit the majority of vehicles, and the wiring goes through the post. These are two video inputs in the harness. I am stating this as I could not find this information before I purchased them. Although the same basic shape as the original ones, these headrests set back a little further than the original ones, which my wife prefers. The headrests swivel up and down for optimum viewing by all passengers, and a passenger in the middle should have no problem viewing them. The harness could be a little longer for some installs, as it was barely adequate for the Impala.
Considering these monitors can be purchased for less than 200 bucks for the pair, I am pleased with them so far. If they do not hold up, I will update my post. Their video quality won't satisfy a videophile, but I am sure the kids won't complain and they will keep them entertained for long trips.

Awesome buy! I bought them for my wife's car so the kids can have something to keep em quiet while in the car. The best thing about them is that you can zip the cover over the screen and if someone glances in your window you can't tell they are headrest screens. I'm all about stealth audio/video installs. Keeps thieves away

I bought a cheap dual-screen Philips DVD player (mainly for use in the car for family car trips) on Black Friday, 2010, at a certain archery-themed big-box retailer. Worked fine (nothing special) until the DC car charger stopped working. Bought this item through Amazon, and it arrived as described and worked as well as the original equipment--which is to say, not that well. After playing a single movie, it also stopped working. Brother-in-law with a background in electrical engineering took a look at it, unscrewed the top of the adapter and popped out the fuse. Although the fuse was not visibly blown, we both guessed that it was. He said the fuse was rated at 3 amps, which is just barely above the power requirements for the DVD player. I went to a certain radio-and-shack-themed electronics store and purchased a couple of 4 amp replacement fuses for about $4 and the adapter has worked ever since.
So, buy this if you must replace the DC adapter on your Philips portable DVD player--it's the same as the one it came with--but you might first want to try buying some 4 amp fuses to replace the built-in 3 amp fuse.
The build quality is pretty flimsy on these, but they do the job. It's kind of goofy that to run the both DVD players, you need a single dual DC adapter. (The AC adapter only has one plug, so you can't use a power inverter and the AC adapter if you want to use both screens.)
Amazon affiliate did a good job of getting it to me quickly. No complaints there.

Worked perfectly fine for my car dvd player. Make sure to tape the wires finely so that kids don't mes it up again.

I purchased this unit because of its good price and decent feedback. Got it quick and package was in good shape. Opened the box and attempted to find installation instructions, which did not exist. In the instruction manual it gives a poor illustration of how you should connect the red wire to the 12 volt power source. Installation was more difficult than others mentioned if you want to conceal all wires and for it to look professional. I am a DIY person, but if you are not expect to pay $150 for installation. Got them installed and they looked decent enough. I have black leather interior and they look almost factory. Popped in a dvd of Dora the esplorer and it worked great. Picture was good and the speakers on the screen worked enough for the back seat passengers to hear but not loud enough to annoy the front seat. Loaded everybody in and my kid asked to watch Finding Nemo so loaded that in and........nothing. So I put in toy story......nothing. I finally put in Tom and Jerry and it worked fine. I have come to the conclusion that region 1 coded dvd's would not work in the player. The dvd player would not play any of my movie dvd's but would play the tv episode dvd's. I called Pyle and they said it should work and I got a defective unit. I sent it back to amazon and they sent out another. The second unit had the exact same problem. I called pyle again and they said they did not know why it was not working. Their tech support is not so good as you might have guessed. I finally ended up ordering this same model without the dvd player and I am going to have to use a stand alone dvd player. I am disappointed they did not play dvd's the way they should. The headphones were very cheap and did not work very well. I never had an opportunity to try the video games, but the controller was very cheap in quality.
Amazon was great in handling the situation. I cannot imagine if I would have ordered these from another online retailer.

I recived this for my 2004 gmc tan seat headrest for the kids in the back seat, It is a great concept with the zipper cover, but that is where it ends, both DVD players were not playing disc sometimes more NO than yes, and after having spent the money to have these installed for them not to work was sad. After all said and done should have gotten a higher quailty and would have been the same price.

I just installed this head unit last week. And to tell you the truth it's working normally with no difficulties. I see some comments, that are saying after 3 months to a year it starts to have issues. I guess I'll have to wait to see what happens. The best thing that I like about this unit is that it shock absor... I live in New York and the roads are not that good (pot holes, bumps and etc...). The unit holds it's on. So far so good it is too early to go full blast, we see what happens after 3 months to a year, I will post the verdict.

I bought the Dual DVDN9131 at Wal-mart on 1-23-10. Today is 3-6-10 and I just shipped it back to Dual to be fixed or replaced. The unit worked fine when I first installed it, but now when I try to use the blue tooth to make phone calls people cannot understand what I am saying. My voice is Garbled like I am talking under water or something. I contacted Dual customer support and they told me to ship it back for repair or replace. I don't know what to expect from here, I have never owned any Dual products before. This radio seems to be a nice unit, I just hope they take care of the problem in a timley manner.

Great deal from Amazon. (270 USD) with Amazon prime shipping. A lot cheaper compared with the other expensive ones in this tough economy.
Pros:

This one is a new version, March 2009 release.
1. In-Built Bluetooth works fine and plays music directly from Iphone without having to connect any wires to it. No hissing nor static noise in the back ground. Audio from Bluetooth is crystal clear.
2. Rear view camera(bought a 40 USD camera from Amazon and hooked it up by myself), DVD player, FM(16 presets), all works as advertised.
3. Cheaper (270 USD) when compared to Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD with Blue tooth which comes to atleast 420 USD.(with the steering wheel interface)
4. I got Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD (just for comparison) and this unit and tried both of them in my Honda Pilot to check how it works and did not see any difference in quality.
5. Bought a soldering Iron(15 USD) and soldered all the wires by myself. (saved 60 USD in installation charges).Instruction manual provided is more than sufficient to do it.
6. Prompt customer support via email when you register in their website.
I hope the quality of this product lasts for a long time.

2. Had to connect the rear view camera trigger wire to the back up light system.

1. 4 star rating because it does not have a steering wheel control Interface but to compensate for it they provide a wireless remote control.
2. Does not support SDHC or USB memory stick more than 2 GB.

Great unit for the price. It does everything it says. Surprisingly, the bluetooth works better than some more popular brands. The interface is extremely cheesy. I seriously laughed when I first saw it. Also the loading time seems a bit slow whether it is a cd or dvd. The sound quality is better than expected. My old system was alpine type-r with 3 v12 amps (i know good sound). The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is because you really cannot beat the price. The rear view camera works flawlessly, sounds great, and has a great picture. There are some small features that are annoying example... when a call comes in though bluetooth when you end the call the track on the sd card starts from the beginning again. It is rather annoying, but overall I am pleased with my purchase.

We are using this unit more and more in the field. I have one on my desk and one for my rack of networking and satellite equipment at the house. The battery display is great when the power is out. Imagine this, I was able to goto the website for my power company to get their phone number when the power went out last time.
As for the previous reviews, here's a couple things to consider. Like most ups, half of the outlets are surge and battery backup, the other half are just surge protection. Now the surge protection only side is great for things like speakers and printers, but if you plug your computer into the wrong side, you won't get the battery backup feature. APC actually started putting big yellow stickers on their UPS because of this.
And the power and heat. Yeah, it gets hot, when it's charging. It's warm when its fully charged.. But it doesn't continously pull 1A of power. I'm sure it does when it's charging, but my fully charged unit only pulls 5 to 20w of power or 50 to 160 Milliamps of power (.05A - .16A). Checked it myself with my power meter.
In all, this is a great unit and for 1000VA, it's a good deal.

I have owned APC, Conxet which is the same company and many othere but none have come close to the features that this line that Tripplite has come out with. It has a very decent backup time but its real strengths are it's power conditioning I.E. clean sine wave which the inverter does not even require the battery unless the voltage drops below around 80VAC. Basically the inverter supplies a clean power source all the time weather using the wall outlet or the 12V battery. And the LCD has all the information you would need including a nice power loss mute button and the special part is the clean interface with a USB hookup on Windows XP. It gives you shutdown battery level settings along with anything you could possibly want and you don't even have to download their software is works that cleanly with XP Pro. The interface with the Computer is the best I have seen even on high end server systems. Only one thing to watch out for is make sure the unit has space for ventilitation around it as it is a heat machine because it runs off the inverter all the time to give you a clean 60HZ Sinewave no matter what you stick in the plug. Best buy. 3 Units to choose from all with the same interface. 900VA 475Watt, 1000VA 500Watt, 1200VA 700Watt your choice all under $200. Pete

My girlfriend brought this for me as a gift and Ive fallen in love with it. Installation was simple, I just had to adjust it a few times to get it into my factory position. Once started up it was great, ok screen compared to those crappy ones ive seen on ebay ie eonon. DVD's look amazing on this thing, I have it set so I dont need the emergency brake engaged to watch movies and found myself looking down a few times to admire the screen. The build quality seems fine and works nicely when putting in and ejecting a cd. It will take you a little while to configure it to get the sound just right. Im running 2 door speakers, 2 back panel speakers, 2 factory dash mounted tweeters and one sub and it sounds really nice. Wish is had settings to control the bass of the sub but for the price I cant really complain. It has 50 million ports to run tv's connect your ipod/phone or any other music device. Only thing that was bad is the usb port in the back needs to be capped or taped off because if it touches metal it will spark and possibly short something out. I highly recommend this if you want a cheap but nice dvd receiver.

I've had some time to use this radio. It's not too bad, considering I got it right before New Years and it was on sale for $139.99. I've watched a movie in it and the screen seems pretty good. It accepts an SD card, but don't buy a micro SD card and put it in the regular SD card adapter- the screen won't close because it sticks out too far. Even a regular SD card stuck out a tad. I needed needle-nose pliers to get it out also, it didn't eject on it's own if you push on it. I loaded all my iPod music onto a 16GB thumb drive. It didn't recognize all 16GB, in fact it just showed a handful of artists. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what.
Anyways, for the price I paid ([...]) it's pretty good. Yes, I wish it had bluetooth and I wish I knew a way to run my iPhone thru it, but it still has the aux inputs, outputs for external screens and backup camera input. I'll get that one of these days. I know- you get what you pay for.

I am a truck driver and recently a man accused me of running over his dog,I did not however it did convince me of trying a dash cam.I bought this one because of price to try as a trial.To my surprise it does a lot more than I imagined.I stuck it on my windshield up in the high middle and plugged it in to the cig lighter.2 weeks went by and a window tinting car cut me off in traffic.If you go to my youtube you can see how awesome this cam is....PLUS the vid on youtube is my phone recording off my laptop...I'm not smart enough and have not the software to edit videos.The programming is a little funky on the cam,like setting the time and date,but if you play with it for awhile you will figure it out.The micro speaker play back is scratchy until you play back on your computer and as you can hear it is very adequate.I put a 2 g mem. card in and carry a spare now in case I need to save something...it's worth it! This cam far and above does what I need.I already have saved vids of 2 more close calls,just in case.Go to youtube and look me up unitruth ,the vid is "cut off by window tinting car 40 mph evansville IN." [...] see for yourself.The audio is crappy on the cam but once plugged in or memory card inserted in laptop you can hear the audio great!

I purchased this cam at Amazon and standard shipping was free. (That's always a plus)! I received this item ; it was packaged excellent ; was able to plug it into my car and use it right away. You will need to either run it in your vehicle or plug it into the computer with the cable that comes with it to charge the battery. Some have suggested that the menu is not an easy one but I didn't have any problems with it at all. Mine also came set to English. I am very impressed with the daytime picture. Exactly what I would expect and it is easy to set up and attach to the windshield of my car. I'm not real crazy about the way you have to unscrew it when you stop somewhere and need to take it off to take it with you. Just a bit ackward but a more expensive cam may have a release button. I'm not really complaining, I can live with it. The night video, after it gets really dark is nothing to brag about. If you are in a city setting, or in a well lit area it makes a little difference but on a country road you can barely see beyond the hood of your car. However, let me put it this way, I don't do a lot of nighttime driving and even so if something happened you would probably be seeing enough to record what happened. If you do a lot of night driving you might want to look around ; ck to see if more money means better night recording. The first day I used it I recorded 2 different cars pull into traffic and barely miss other cars right in front of me. It has a picture mode also, not great pictures but would suffice if needed to take pictures of something. It doesn't come with a SD/MMC card, ; it does state that, but you can pick them up pretty reasonable if you don't have any. I use 2 so that I can have a spare if I want to save something on the first one until I get to my computer to take it off. If you film something you want to save you can take it from the card to your computer. It is not a heavy piece of equip. ; it's easy to carry with you when you leave the vehicle. You don't get much as far as an instruction booklet but I found it was enough. While driving it is not a distraction. I would certainly recommend this little cam to anyone who drives. I'm glad I chose this one ; would buy it again.
