IN CASE OF SNOW OR ICE
No matter which district the student lives in, if the 4j district cancels classes for the day, Creative Minds is closed.
If you live outside the 4j district (Bethel, Springfield, Fern Ridge) and your home district closes school due to bad weather, you are excused from attending Creative Minds for the day.
If you attend Creative Minds during the morning session (9:00 am - 12:00 pm), and either 4j or your home school district issues a late start, you are excused from attending Creative Minds for the day. This does NOT apply to the afternoon session!

WINTER BUS PASS STICKERS ARE HERE!
Please bring $8 to Tiffany in the office to get your new Winter LTD Group Pass sticker. This sticker renews your bus pass until March 31, 2012. IMPORTANT: The orange "Fall" Sticker is only valid until 12/31/11. If you don't get your sticker before Winter Break starts, you will not be able to take the LTD bus to school when we start back up again on January 4th.
Our last day of school before Winter Break is Friday, December 16th.

The Creative Minds Student Council is running a food drive to help folks out for the holidays! The morning and afternoon programs are competing to see who can bring in the most food. Every contribution is welcome and appreciated! Suggested food items are canned meats (tuna, chicken, salmon, corned beef), jams and jellies, canned and dried beans (pinto, navy, kidney, refried), canned stew, chili, hearty soups, broth, boxed macaroni and cheese, pasta, rice, cereal, corn meal, cooking oil and olive oil, canned tomato products, and peanut butter.

Join us in celebration of the 12th Annual Mayor's Teen Art Show at Maude Kerns Art Center. The work of about two dozen CMAS students was accepted for this juried show. Mayor Kitty Piercy will present the The Mayor's Choice Award. Come out for the opening reception on Friday, September 16th from 6-8 pm. Enjoy refreshments and snacks as well. Family and friends can view the work after the reception during regular gallery hours until October 5th, Mon-Fri 10-5:30 and Sat 12-4.

CORRECTED INFO FOR FIELD TRIP
The annual student incentive field trip to Oaks Amusement Park will take place on Wednesday, June 8th. The price is $20.
Students who are eligible for the field trip have already been notified. Students who were approved to go on the trip had to meet rigorous attendance, academic and behavioral standards.
For students who are not eligible to attend the field trip, Wednesday the 8th is a REGULAR SCHOOL DAY. Attendance is mandatory.
If your student has been approved to attend the field trip, s/he needs to be in the school parking lot at 7:45 a.m. The bus will leave at exactly 8:00 a.m. and return to school around 5:00 p.m. Please make transportation arrangements home as necessary.

YES! We DO have school on Friday, April 29th.
Due to the memorial procession for Officer Kilcullen, LTD buses will probably be running late. Interstate 105/Highway 126 Expressway will be closed from approximately 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. between Sixth Avenue in Eugene and 52nd Street in Springfield. Major traffic interruptions are expected.
If your student cannot make it to school, please call the main office at (541) 344-9712 to let us know.

Required Vaccines Due February 16, 2011
State law requires that all children in public and private schools, preschools, Head Start and certified child care facilities be up-to-date on their immunizations, or have a religious or medical exemption. Children will not be able to attend school or child care starting Feb. 16, 2011, if their records on file show missing immunizations.
