*** Enhanced User Interface
Unlike the Simple User Interface, the scanning is performed by so called "tasks". First, you define a task, including various parameters - areas to scan, what to scan, how to scan, etc. Having the task, you can (possibly repeatedly) run it. Each task generates a list of results; you can work with them later.
*** Resident protection
Resident protection, i.e. the real-time protection of the computer, is one of the most important parts of an antivirus program today. avast! features a powerful resident module that is able to detect the virus before it has any chance to infect your computer.
E-mail protection consists of two independent modules; first, there is a generic scanner working on the SMTP/POP3/IMAP4 protocol level. This module watches all the scripts being executed in the operating system (so called WSH scripts - Windows Scripting Host). It also scans all the scripts run as a part of a web page within your web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator and Mozilla).
*** Automatic updates
Automatic updates are another key point in virus protection. Both the virus database and the program itself can be updated automatically.
*** PUSH updates
A special feature of the Professional Edition are PUSH updates. It is a dramatic change in the philosophy of updates. Usually, every installed program checks every now and then whether a new version is available. PUSH updates, however, are initialized by our server; they result in your computer quickly responding and performing the necessary update. The system is based on the SMTP protocol, i.e. on usual e-mail messages. The updates itself are controlled by the avast! resident e-mail providers (MS Outlook and Internet Mail).
*** Virus Chest
The main properties of the Virus Chest are complete isolation from the rest of the operating system (no outside process, i.e. no virus either, may access the files inside) and the fact that the files inside the Chest may not be run (i.e. there is no danger in storing viruses there).
*** System integration
avast! antivirus features outstanding integration into your system. The scanning can be started directly from Windows Explorer, by clicking a folder or a file with your right mouse button and selecting the corresponding choice from the menu.
Another interesting feature is a special screen-saver that performs scanning for viruses during its run-time. avast! antivirus works together with your favorite screen-saver, so you don't have to change to anything you wouldn't like.
Another new option is the boot-time scan (Windows NT/2000/XP/.NET only). It is important in the case that a virus is suspected to be active on your computer. The boot-time scan is performed before the virus may get activated, so the virus cannot influence the scanning in any way.
*** Command-line scanner
Experienced users may like another Professional Edition feature - command-line scanner. The scanning can be controlled by many arguments and switches; to use as a pipe filter, a special STDIN/STDOUT mode is available.
The module is intended to be used in BATCH programs. Its output is the same as the output from the Enhanced User Interface tasks (including the report files).

Macromedia’s Dreamweaver has long dominated the world of web design software, handily outselling competing applications like Adobe’s GoLive. With Macromedia’s acquisition by Adobe Systems at the end of 2005, Dreamweaver and GoLive, found themselves under the same blended corporate family. How would this sibling rivalry shake out?

Countering speculation that the less-popular GoLive might be discontinued or that the two applications would be combined, Adobe stated in June that GoLive will continue to be supported and developed “based on our customers’ needs.” Dreamweaver, however, will be the focus of “future innovation” and integration into the Creative Suite.

So that’s the scoop. Integration with Photoshop and the other Creative Suite applications (Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat) is at the top of my must-have features list. For this long-time GoLive user, it looks like the time is right to make the switch to Dreamweaver.

Whether you’re a switcher like me, a new web designer or a seasoned Dreamweaver user, Dreamweaver 8’s roster of new and improved features have plenty to offer.

For beginners, Dreamweaver 8 offers new starter pages – website templates built around themes like restaurant, health and nutrition and lodging. Each template includes a home page, a product page, a text page, a catalog page and a calendar page; enough to get you up and going if you need quick results.

Tabbed documents, new for Mac users, let you keep track of multiple open document windows and move among them by clicking tabs at the top of the workspace. If you prefer, you can disable this feature. Along with tabs, Dreamweaver 8 lets you choose among four customized workspace layouts – tailored for coders or designers – or create and save your own.

Once you have your workspace set, you can use guides to align page elements precicely, then zoom in or out using the Zoom tool in the status bar at the bottom of the active window. The zoom feature can also be accessed from the menu bar, a pop-up menu in the status bar and with keyboard shortcuts. Both guides and zoom are new in Dreamweaver 8, and both add ease and accuracy to designing chores.

If you bring in text for your web pages from Microsoft Word or Excel or from email, you’ll certainly be pleased by the new Paste Special options, which let you choose how much formatting to retain. You can paste text only, text with structure (tables, paragraphs, lists) text with basic formatting, (bold, italics) or text with full formatting (bold, italics and styles). Line breaks can be discarded, a real boon when importing from email. The import can even clean up Word paragraph spacing.

CSS – Cascading Style Sheets – allow the designer to specify how elements like fonts, text size, indentations and paragraph styles appear on the web page. With CSS, all you need to do to change an element across an entire website is make a change to that element’s style sheet. Dreamweaver 8 pulls together CSS tools and information in a new unified CSS panel that helps make more sense of this powerful and often complex coding method. Other CSS enhancements in Dreamweaver 8 include rendering improvements, a style rendering toolbar, and borders, colors and tooltips to better visualize CSS layouts.

One of the biggest improvements to Dreamweaver takes place behind the scenes. Dreamweaver 8 now lets you keep working while files are being transferred to the server in the background, a much-appreciated time-saver. It’s no longer necessary to wait while the application performs these tasks.

I’ve emphasized the design-based enhancements of Dreamweaver 8. There are also a slew of improvements aimed at coders, including a coding toolbar, code editing improvements, visual authoring with XML data and improved WebDAV support.

Dreamweaver 8’s tutorials, documentation and web support are all first-rate. The instruction has multiple points of entry based on your experience, with sections for web design novices, experienced web designers, experienced hand-coders and web application developers. You can read the printed manual or take advantage of the hyperlinks in the onscreen manual, available under the Help menu, to move easily from topic to topic. The splash screen includes web links to the resource-rich Dreamweaver Developer Center, as well as video tours of Dreamweaver 8’s features.

Instructions to Activate Diskeeper: (for Windows Vista with or without SP1)

1. Run the setup to install diskeeper. (Do Not shut down diskeeper after installing!).
2. Open Diskeeper and go to Action > Enter License Key. Run the keygen & click on Generate Key. Enter the License Key generated by the Keygen.
3. Do Not close the Keygen!
4. Now shut down diskeeper. (Stop the Diskeeper Service with Task Manager).
5. Copy the cracks to the install folder of diskeeper (C:/Program Files/Diskeeper Corporation/Diskeeper)
6. Type Services.msc in the Run command to start diskeeper service again.
7. Open Diskeeper and select the option "Activate Manually" (doesn't require internet).
8. Click on Generate Code and copy the code to the activation box.
9. Click on Activate.
10. Finally click on OK. (diskeeper will restart and it'll be activated!)

Note: Disable UAC (go to control panel > User Accounts > Turn User Account Control on or off option and uncheck Use User Account Control to disable it) before installing diskeeper.

works well to find and eliminate viruses. Unfortunately, this is all it can do. There are no

Ease of Use:
CA Antivirus is extremely easy to use. Full
system scans are only 2 clicks from the main program screen. If you need to change any
advanced options, of which there are very few,
you will have to go a little bit deeper within the program to find them.
Effectiveness:
CA has been known for having solid products throughout their history. They didn't fail to impress this time around. The engine that is used for CA Antivirus is WCL, ICSA and VB100% certified and is well equipped to find and clean any viruses that it finds on your computer.
Updates:
Updates are checked for once a day if set to update automatically. If you have a need to get faster updates, there is an option to change the frequency of the automatic updates. You also have the ability to update manually if you have the need to do so.
Feature Set:
CA Antivirus includes no extended features that we could find in our testing of the product. Standard antivirus features such as a virus scanner, scan scheduling utility and quarantine are present, but comprise the full extent of features included with CA Antivirus.
Ease of Installation:
Installing CA Antivirus was fast and easy. There was a glitch on the registration screen that wouldn't allow us to register the product correctly. This issue did not hold us back as we could just cancel the registration.
Help/Support:
Support for CA Antivirus 2008 includes in-program help as well as online support options. The options available online consist of a knowledge base/FAQs. CA also offers direct phone support for $19.95 per incident. If you are inclined to search around the support website, you will find that they also offer free chat and email support. These additional options are somewhat buried and may be difficult to find.
Summary: CA Antivirus 2008 is a good product for specific antivirus needs. It includes a good antivirus engine and stops there. Extended features are saved for other products within the CA family. If you have a specific need for JUST an antivirus program, CA Antivirus is a good option.

Install Notes:
0. Please note that part 01 is a zip, unzip it and then unrar it with the rest of rar files as usual.
1. First create a directory on the c: drive (even if you install maya on different drive) called FLEXLM
2. Copy the aw.dat and awkeygen.exe file to this directory
3. Install Maya
4. Go to start–>all programs–>Autodesk–>common utilities–>FlexLM license utilities
5. Under system settings copy Ethernet address
6. Open the file (from the directory FLEXLM) aw.dat with notepad and replace the words “your host”bwith the copied Ethernet address. Save and close notepad
7. Using the run utility type: ‘cmd’ (no ‘ marks) then ‘cd c:\FLEXLM’
8. Type: awkeygen.exe aw.dat, close the window
9. Go to start–>all programs–>Autodesk–>Maya 8.5–>Licensing. Select “I have a license that I need to install” and then ‘I would like to install license from a file’
10. Browse to the path of the file C:\FLEXLM\aw.dat
11. Click install
12. Restart computer

Adobe Photo shop description :
One of the most obvious changes in the new CS4 applications is the user interface, and this change will also be carried over into the next version of Adobe's Photoshop. This decision is described in detail by Adobe's John Nack. Nack describes how Adobe has been trying to make the interfaces on their apps more consistent and shows off a screenshot of the new Mac Photoshop "application frame". This application frame contains both user interface elements as well as documents themselves. Despite expressing his own initial resistance, Nack explains the advantages to the consolidated window:
- It facilitates N-up (2-up, 3-up, etc.) document layouts that adapt as you adjust the interface. Think "live window tiling"--great for comparing, compositing, etc.
- It makes it easier to move the entire application and its contents, including from one monitor to another.
- It prevents documents from getting obscured by panels (palettes).
- It blocks out the contents of the desktop, minimizing visual clutter. (A number of Mac users have requested this option for many years. I've known quite a few people who open a small blank document, hit F to put it into full-screen mode, and then put it into the background to hide the desktop. Willingness to live with that kind of hack demonstrates some genuine desire for a real fix.)
