After being one of the best-looking shoes available for a couple of years now (and that doesn’t even factor in the performance features), what else can the Janoski do? Hitting stores in the fall, the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski “Blood Splatter” goes for a uniquely patterned textile over the entire upper, really setting it apart from the relatively subtly color-blocked Janoski typically seen. Nike SB just launched a microsite dedicated to their collaboration with Skate Mental. When you first get there, you’ll notice a handwritten checklist laid on what looks to be a wooden deck — that’s the navigation for the site. You can access video, galleries and, of course, the Nike SM product line all from this front page. The best part is probably the hilariously kitschy photo shoot with the SM guys on vacay in Oregon, getting in touch with the great outdoors.

Trendsetters UNDFTD have collaborated with Nike on the current rage in advertising, the MVPuppets, to create these special edition shirts, releasing this Saturday, December 19th. Each shirt features either puppet LeBron or puppet Kobe alongside Undefeated’s U-Man and featuring the “Just Do It” slogan. Nike Air Flytop ST’s Hitting Stores Saturday

Another Saturday Nike Sportswear release, these might just be the best Nike Air Flytops we’ve seen to date. The relatively new silhouette (although obviously it bears a striking resemblance to some sort of Air Royal Mid—Dynasty High mixture) is hitting in two colorways, a varsity purple/black that sports a purple leather upper, black toecap and Swoosh and grey fabric piping crossing all over the shoe, and a hot red/varsity maize colorway that features a predominantly red upper with equal parts maize, white and grey mixed onto different panels. Insert lame Tiger Woods joke here. Wait for laughter … segue into product description. 2010 is the “Year of the Tiger” so it stands to reason that Nike, as they typically do, would create a Year of the Tiger shoe. And here it is. Zoom Kobe V On NIKEiD!

While not available for purchase until December 25th, the Nike Zoom Kobe V ID is available to be played with and customized now on NIKEiD.com, after which you can save the design until it’s ready to be ordered on Christmas Day. Not a lot of information about how this will work, if, for example, it will be like last year where Nike would randomly select a handful of ID’s to actually be shipped and cap that number at 15 or so. That seems logical. The Kobe V on Nike ID is actually one of the better customizable shoes I’ve seen, as it includes several different patterns for the base layer, metallic or “exotic” print for the eyestays and toecap. Nike Zoom Kobe V Debuts (With Release Date!)

I’ll cover this much more tomorrow and in the days to come, but Kobe Bryant and Nike Basketball premiered his new shoe today, debuting the Nike Zoom Kobe V itself along with a little background and some release dates. In short, the Zoom Kobe V will be on NIKEiD.com on December 26th and available in stores in the US, Canada and Europe on January 16th. For some reason China gets them on January 1st. If this wasn’t enough for you rest assured there will be much, much more to come. Just wanted to get that official Nike Zoom Kobe V release date out there as soon as possible.

Hit or miss, I love it when shoe companies do something different, as Nike does with the Nike Lunarlite Woven Chukka (I virtually guarantee you that “lite” won’t be in the title, but that’s the word now. Whatever), and I think we can call it a hit. The Lunar Woven Chukka sports an all black woven upper in the traditional style of the chukka, with a Lunarlite sole unit. Releasing in 2010, the shoe will initially come in two colorways, each sporting a black upper: black/green and black/orange. The former is above, the latter after the jump. Via SoleRedemption.com.

Oregon Ducks’ Civil War Uniforms: There’s a Catch!

You couldn’t possibly think that in a Civil War for the Roses, on a Thursday night in front of a national audience Oregon would do something predictable with their uniforms, could you? Alright, grain of salt and all that, but this is a pretty hot rumor right now from several sources including Rob Moseley and he doesn’t typically deal in unfounded rumors. So READ THIS PART so you don’t think I’m telling you that the above uniforms are what we’re wearing. I have no photograph of the uniforms we may be wearing tomorrow because there’s no precedent for them, so this is the closest approximation I can do with the current ensembles and I don’t believe in leaving a blog entry with no picture, so I have to throw something up there. Rumor is the Ducks will be sporting “throwback” helmets (keep in mind it should have the O), green throwback jerseys and white pants. BUT the helmets will just have a throwback green color with the new “O” logo. I don’t know man, the Ducks have done crazier things. I’m thinking it’ll be pretty nice if it happens. Anyway, I’m blaming Moseley if this doesn’t pan out and I’m taking credit for a “heard it here first” if it does, so enjoy. I’ll see about getting a more accurate photoshop in the morning, so check back often.

Nike Zoom Hustle Supreme Tony Parker PE

I’ve got Civil War on the brain and can scarcely document a coherent thought, so I’ll try to keep these pretty short. I suppose that’s probably the ideal anwyay. If you’re not familiar with the Nike Zoom Hustle Supreme, it’s sort of an updated Hyperflight with the shape and curves, albeit definitely with some different style. Well Tony Parker has his own PE of the shoe, as he tends to with whatever shoe he wants, and it has officially hit shelves. DJ AM x Nike Dunk High Premium

after the unfortunate passing of DJ and sneaker-game icon DJ AM, it was theorized that the Nike Dunk High that he had been working on may never see a proper release. It now appears that it in fact will see the light of day and from the early pictures (via Freshnessmag.com) that’s something worth celebrating. The DJ AM x Nike Dunk High Premium features a red and black colorway, the latter color represented mainly in patent leather while the former opts for full grain leather, with a white midsole and grey 3M material on the Swoosh as well as beneath the turntable-inspired perforated dots in the heel-patent-leather. While not much is known about the release yet, I’ll definitely keep NB readers abreast of any news. More pictures after the jump.

I wrote a bit about the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 collaboration a couple of weeks ago, although for a quick recap this shoe was created to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Patta, the Dutch retailer. This update then, is to break the good news: it looks like we have a release date. The shoe is available for pre-order on VMVInc.com now, with an expected release date of December 9th. It’s a Tier Zero release however, so we can assume that the shoe will be limited to the usual handful of spots (if you don’t want to do the VMV pre-order). I’ll include the list after the jump. Keep in mind this isn’t official, but I say that every time and they always wind up being these stores, so unless they decide to leave this release in Europe or downgrade it to a Quickstrike, these ought to be your locations …
