MAC Viva Glam Nicki Minaj & Ricky Martin

You've probably already seen on the interweb that this year's spokespersons for MAC's ViVa Glam are Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin.

Nikki's lipstick is described by MAC as a "bright yellow pink satin". I hope the real thing is as bright as the pic because I'm soo excitied, I'm like a kid at christmas x a million lol.

Ricky has gone with a colourless lip conditioner. In a tube instead of a pot is always a winner!

Both of these go on sale at the end of February in the State's and the release date here is not yet confirmed. But when it is I will be skint!!

Leighton Denny New Year New You Collection

I've never tried any polish or nail treatment from Leighton Denny, but I've sat and watched him on QVC. I like to sit and watch the QVC Beauty channel even if it just to "want" a lot of things.

I had some Christmas money burning a hole in my little pocket when I came across the Today's Special Value on QVC. Everyday an item or special collection is available for a one time only low price. And on this day it was the Leighton Denny New Year New You collection.

This collection came in two choice's, brights and nudes. I choose the brights set.

You get a bottle of Brilliance Nail Polish Remover, Illuminating Hand Cream, Brilliance Serum, Brilliance Shield, Rebel, Plush Pink, Jail Bird, I Love Juicy and a cute croc effect bag to keep it all in.

I've already had Rebel on and I am currently wearing Jail Bird. I've yet to wear Plush Pink and I Love Juicy, but I can't wait! And I want to do a review post on them all at the same time.

This collection is no longer available but there is other collections in variations of duo's and quad's to the 12 piece Expert Nail Collection. There is a great variation of colours, and if you don't fancy the colours you could always go for a treatment set.

Holiday Shoe's

I've finally got around to taking photo's of the shoe's I bought on holiday. I would like to say the pic's are better but they're not 100%.

Anyway on to the shoe's. The first pair I got was from the Aldo sale. I've been going into Aldo every year I've been on holiday, but I normally don't see anything and I've once talked myself out of buying a pair.

I've had a thing for wedge's recently and as soon as I seen these I fell in love. I originally tried them on in black but they didn't have my size left so I these on also. They felt so comfy as I strutted around the shop in them and I just bought them.

The second pair I found in Marshall's. For you's that don't know what Marshall's is, it's like TK Maxx. You get high end brands for discount price's.

These I seen, tried on and looked round the shop and ran back to get them off the shelf. I couldn't pass up a pair of Guess heels for $35!!

Sadly I've not had a chance to wear either pair's out but I have in the flat haha.

Sarenza's Amazing Opportunity!

While catching up with today's blog roll I came across Amber's at Shoeperwoman's blog post. Straight away the title got me clicking on it faster than my browser could load.

Reading it, I thought "OMG think of all the shoes!" And then also thinking what the other-half would be saying right now (it's not good). Anyway, the post, she was letting her loyal readers know that Sarenza is holding a competition for a new Ambassador. Being an Ambassador means getting a pair of shoe's every month and reviewing them.

To participate in the competition you need to pick a pair of shoes from the site, or a pair you've already purchased from Sarenza and write about them. In this case I am going to write about Iron Fist's Society Suicide Platform.

The shoe alone sums up the brand, outgoing, fun, sexy, vibrant and different. The thing I love about this shoe is that it has a tattoo-esq look, and I love tattoo's. You can wear them and they stand out on their own or co-ordinate them with an outfit to compliment it.

Being one of many Iron Fist design's they give you a chance express yourself in many ways, be it subtle or flamboyant, and you can wear them flat, heels, wedges or boots.

Boots Half Price Sale

Salon Services Haul

I done a friends nails yesterday and needed to get 2 things for my kit on Thursday so I could do them.

Well I ended up coming out with five things. Not that I needed them but I wanted them lol.

These are the extra's.

I didn't realise they carried Duo eyelash glue and only noticed when I was looking at the eyelash applicator.

And the nail polish was a bonus when I checked out the clearance section =). OPI Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous.

My Holiday Haul

This would have been easier to do if I had actually remembered to take my camera cable with me. But it's not, lots of pic's =).

I normally buy things I can't get here in the UK, and sometime's double's depending in what it is.

I went to the mall, Target, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, an outlet mall and Sephora. TJ Maxx and Marhshall's are the same as TK Maxx here. They offer designer good's and low price's.

Stock in these store's change from week to week or month to month and you won't find the same thing twice.

I got the Olay ProX Cleanser which has been quite popular in comparing it to the Clairsonic. So far I like it and it's been clearing up my skin quite nicely.

I got these EOS lip balms from Walgreen's after finding some $1 off coupons. I had a thing for trying to find coupons lol.

I got this Hello Kitty set from Marshall's. It's the empty container's you can use instead of carrying all your big bottle's.

I think I got this cup from either Marshall's or Ross's. It's a reusable cup w/ straw and I can't remember when I didn't use it. It's so handy.

I got this brush from Ross's after being persuaded to buy it by the OH. I didn't really need a new brush, but I like the pin-up girl picture on it.

This Clinique set I found in TJ Maxx. Couldn't believe it when I seen it as I've never found any Clinique products in TJ/TK Maxx. It was a steal at $13.

Then is TJ Maxx and Ross's I found a Betseyville by Betsey Johnson purse (top) and large make up bag. I also found a small make up bag a couple of months ago in TK Maxx here.

This fitted into my pink Betseyville bag. Various EOS lip balms, a Carmex lip balm, Maybelline mineral foundation set, note pads, NYC eyeshadow palette, Rimmel mascara, Hope In A Jar, Purity cleanser, Sally Hanson Nail Effects and Forever21 eyelashes.

I think I got most of it. The Maybelline foundation set I found in Ross's, $4.99. The Hope In A Jar and Purity is the small versions from Sephora, which I think were $10 each. I got $1 off coupon's for the Rimmel mascara and Sally Hansen Nail Effects at Target.

Then onto one of my better purchase's =).

I got these beauties on sale at Aldo for $60. I fell in love with these and strutted about the shop in them haha. I also got a black pair of Guess heel's, but I've forgot to take a pic and will upload it later.

And lastly I was looking forward to going to Forever21, as I had never been into the store before. But I didn't find anything apart from this top and funky reusable bag.

So, I think that's everything. Now i just need to use and wear it all lol.

Sprinkles Cupcake's Houston

I tried to find Sprinkles last year but failed. And I'm not sure if it was me or the fact that they just opened.

But out of interest this year, in fact 2 days ago, the OH and I planned to go into downtown Houston and went for a gander to see if we could find the shop this year.

And guess what, we did!! It's only a small place but I don't know what was more exciting, actually finding the shop or getting to have a Sprinkles cupcake for the first time.

The awesome thing about Sprinkles is you can go in any day for a cupcake or 2, or you can make an order for a special occassion, wedding, birthday, etc. You can also buy cupcake baking mix and make your own Sprinkles cupcakes.

On this visit, just general consumption. I choose Dark Chocolate and Red Velvet, the OH choose Black & White and Chocolate Marshmallow. We also picked one each for the OH's dad and step-mum in Pumpkin.

Oh so yummy!!

I've been watching Sam and Jay's family channel for months now, and they are great.

I love how they make the effort to do a daily vlog every day on top of Jay working long hour's and Sam looking after Mr P.

Sam also has her own beauty channel and I love the fact she's a hairdresser, I love changing my hair all the time.

Sam has entered the Physicians Formula Get Your Glow on competition. You make a video, post it on the PF website and you can watch and vote on the video's. The prize is an awesome $5,000.

There's a lot you can do with $5,000, in my case I could probably clear some debt like any other person, but Sam would like to go to IMATS and take Mr P to Disney Land, probably a once in a lifetime holiday for some.

Window Shopping @ NARS

While I was waiting for 9pm to come round I thought about going for a wee look round the NARS website.

I have a couple of NARS products but for me budget their price's are a bit to high for me, especially when I'm swapping now more than before.

But anyway back to what I like. I had a look through everything I like, lipstick, eyeshadow, new season collection and the gift's section, they have a under £35 section ya know ;).

First I seen this, how sparkly, it reminds me of Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia. This is the Arabian Nights palette.

Then this brush set, 0_0, love it. Just look at the brushes, I would but and never use it.

And another eyeshadow palette.

And finally the Tainted Love Set.

OPI The Muppets Collection: Warm & Fozzie

As soon as I saw the PR pic's of this collection I knew I had to have one of the colour's. And it's all down having a little love for one character. Fozzie bear!

OPI is not normally a brand I buy all the time, and after buying Warm & Fozzie it's nearly changed my opinion.

It is a glitter, but a fine glitter and I felt it applies like a flakie. It's so smooth and cover's well. It only needed 2 coats. But for removing it you have to treat it like a glitter and use the foil method to remove it.

I think I might look into getting some other OPI's. I also got someone to help me showcase the polish.

iPhone 4 Cases

I was just looking on iWorld for a ipad2 case for the OH since we're going on holiday soon and he's taking it with him.

I soon got done with that and started looking at iPhone 4 cases. I feel like I'm turning into hoarder wanting all these cases.

iWorld have everything though, from a standard case to awesome gadgets. I found some cute cases though.

Next year OPI will be launching their collaboration with Nicki Minaj. I like what there is but I would have thought there would have been more outstanding colours considering how outgoing Nicki Minaj is.

TreSemme Colour Fade Protection Shampoo & Conditioner

Every time I finish a set of shampoo and conditioner I change it for a new brand and depending on what I'm doing with my hair, a new hair type.

I go from colouring it different colours to keeping it normal. At the moment it's a faded red with bad roots, I really need to sort it out.

Anyway, I bought this shampoo and conditioner because it was on offer (BOGOF) at Boots. I haven't used TreSemme in a while and though I would try this out for that reason.

I have tried various colour protection shampoo and conditioners from well known brands, but I haven't been as impressed since I used this. Instantly I noticed how much less the colour ran from hair. I've noticed since colouring my hair red, this colour runs A LOT more than others.

I especially noticed how cleaner it felt before conditioning it. I would normally shampoo twice because of the hairspray or dry shampoo that I've used and then condition it.

I love how soft my hair feels when it's dry, and I can't stop playing with it. It doesn't leave any sort of residue and make's my hair shiny!

I plan to hopefully colour my hair again this weekend and then give a view on how it works with newly coloured hair.
