The flavour & nutrition improvement would be exciting, let alone the amazement some people would experience. So many people have never tasted food truly good food - food as it was grown before chemicals, mass production etc. were considered the norm. Not only would the food we ate be better for us and taste better, but the involvement in growing our own would bring back a little purpose, more constructive involvement in self, survival and an opportunity to give.
I have witnessed people growing there own food on balconies, roof tops - anywhere there is space for a pot or container to plant the food they chose to grow, fantastic. Over time they have increased the variety of what they grow, the volume and the methods for growing food for themselves. A very healthy and environmentally sound way to be involved in your life and the life of your community. From a population of 50 to millions, almost everyone can be involved in providing food for themselves, family, friends and neighbours.

If you have time, have a look at Permaculture (some Food growing approaches), Sustainable living, growing Organic food, Raw food etc.

Enjoy.

Just a thought - not meant to be gloom.

I have a need to write - express myself. Many people have the
desire to write, but don't and others, well, we are all different and have our
individual needs for many things.

I neither wish to attack an idea or way of life nor do I suggest
anything I have to say is better in anyway.

My list of concerns about our world, the way we live, the way we instil
thinking among our peoples, grows daily. We, as communities, set up icons/idols
of little substance, as if to contain our individual thoughts and occupy our
time. We accept being led by the spread of glamour and hype as if spreading
seed in a field to grow grass for sheep. The hype and glamour; the
promises & images of the spectacular, capture our attention while we are
told we have to do more to build for our future.

We have a beautiful world and wonderful people, yet we have lost
so much of community. The imagery we are consumed with taints life and blind's
us to whom we are as individuals within our world community, so we simply
become one among the masses.
