According to US based Pew Research centre had disclosed in its new report saying Islam will outnumber Christianity by 2070.

An approximated 2.2 billion people are Christians in the world in 2010 - making up roughly 31 % of Earth's 6.9 billion Peoples Globally.

Islamic religion is the second with followers of 1.6 billion, with 23-percent of the world-population.

However, the review mentioned that the global Christian believers could likely also decrease as people recognize as non-religious or adopt other religious faiths. (What you mean by this a large number of People following the True Path of Islam believing in One God).

The Pew Research organisation also said approx. 40 Million people will Move to Christianity globally, but the People leaving in Christianity and adopting new religion will outreach the number of Christianity by 106 Millions will no longer be identified as Christians by 2070.

The Surah Which Will Make You Cry

The Surah is Surah Ar-Rahmana which is the 55th Chapter of the Holy Quran. This is Surah is recited by a little Child in a Quran recitation competition, the soothing voice of her made everyone cry in the auditorium.

What is this Surah is about???

The themes of the Surah have been couched in brief sentences in a specific sequence:

From the beginning of the verse 1-4 it has been mentioned that the educating of the Qur'an is from Allah Almighty and it is the very need for His whim that He should offer guidance to humanity through this teaching, for it is He Who has created man as a logical and brilliant being.

In vv. 5-6 it has been said that the whole system of the Galaxy is performing under Allah's Sovereignty and everything in our planet and skies is susceptible to His Control alone.

In vv. 7-9 another significant fact that has been indicated is that Allah has the whole programmer of the Galaxy accurately and equitably on rights, and the characteristics of this program needs that those who stay in it also should conform to rights within the range of their power and should not affect the balance created by Allah.

In vv. 10-25 besides referring to the amazing things and excellences of Allah's might, sources have been created to His those bounties from which the jinn and men are drawing advantage.

In vv.26-30 both the men and the jinn have been advised of the facts that in this Galaxy no one except One God is immortal and imperishable, and there is none, from the lowest to the highest, who does not take a position it need of God for his success and other specifications. Whatever is being executed here, from the heaven to the earth, is being conducted under His management and supervision.

In vv. 31-36 both the have been cautioned that sufficient time is around the corner when they will be known as to their accounts in the world, which they will not be able to prevent, for God's Kingdom is encompassing them from every side; it is not in their ability to leave it; if they are engaged in the misunderstanding that they can, they may try to do so.

In vv. 37-38 it has been said that this responsibility will be organised on the Day of Resurrection.

In vv. 39-45 the wicked end of the accountable ones, from among men and jinn, who have been disobeying Allah on the globe has been described.

And from line 46 to the end of the Surah discuss has been created of those benefits and delights which will be provided to the righteous men and jinn who have led pious lifestyles on the globe and resided with a obvious knowing that they will have to appear before their Master one day and provide an consideration of their deeds and actions.

Story of Imam Malik Ibn Anas

Imam Malik bin Anas (b. 93 AH, d. 179 AH) was one of the greatest Islamic scholars of all times. Among his 1300 disciples were people from all walks of life; rulers, judges, historians, Sufis, poets, and scholars of Qur’an, Hadith, and Fiqh. The Khalifah attended his class as an ordinary student along with others.

In the best traditions of this Ummah Imam Malik considered his knowledge as a trust. When he knew something to be right or wrong, no intimidation could stop him from declaring so. It was his fatwa that divorce given under compulsion is invalid, that earned him the wrath of the ruler (as it implied that pledge of allegiance given under compulsion was also invalid). He was punished with lashes and at every strike he said, “I am Malik bin Anas and I declare that divorce given under compulsion is invalid.”

Yet it was the same Imam Malik who was more likely to say “la adree” (I don’t know) or “la ahsin” (I don’t know it very well) in response to the constant flow of queries directed toward him. Once a person approached him and told him that he had come from Marrakesh — after a six month journey — only to ask a question. “My people back home are waiting for your answer,” he said. After hearing the question Imam Malik replied, “Please tell your people that I do not know the answer to your question.” In one case he was asked forty-eight questions and in response to thirty-two of them he said, “I don’t know.” It was commonly said that if somebody wrote down Imam Malik’s answers to questions, he could easily fill pages with “I don’t know” before writing a real answer.

The reason for this extraordinary care was nothing but a deep sense of accountability before Allah. It was the caution of a person who was standing between Hell and Heaven, fearful that one wrong step could lead him to the former. “Before you answer a question about religious law, visualize that you are standing at the gates of Hell and Heaven,” he used to advise others.

Of course, he was not alone. Ibn Jareej used to attend the majlis (sitting) of Abdullah ibn Umar, Radi-Allahu anhuma. “In answer to more than half the questions he used to say I don’t know.” Ibn Abi Layla saw 120 Sahaba (companions). “Whenever one of them was asked a question he wished that someone else would answer it.”

Nor was this caution restricted to Fiqh (Islamic Law). In interpreting the Qur’an or the Hadith, they exercised same care. Imam Muslim whose Sahih Muslim is unanimously considered second of the two most authentic collections of Hadith, had set for himself only the task of Hadith collection leaving the job of interpreting them to others. He was so concerned about this that he did not even divide the book into chapters for such classification would amount to interpretation.

They were the authoritative source on Islamic teachings, having devoted their lives to learning and practicing them. They knew very well the tremendous burden inherent in a statement that begins “Allah says”, or “The Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, says”. For here stating something that is not so means that a person is attributing something to Allah or the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, that is not true. What can be a greater sin than that! They always remembered that it is Haram to give fatwa without knowledge. They always remembered the Hadith, “Whoever interprets the Qur’an without knowledge should make his abode in Hell.”

Fast forward to today and you are in a totally different world. Across the Muslim world today there are innumerable “experts” who are willing to interpret the Qur’an and Hadith, give fatwas, even do Ijtihad — all without the benefit of even the minimum religious education and training. If such a person is a good writer or speaker that is qualification enough. For the audiences today readily confuse eloquence with scholarship. If the “expert” also carries the magic title “Dr.” that certainly fills any gaps in his authority. It does not matter whether his educational achievement maybe in gynecology or business administration, journalism or nuclear science, physics or animal husbandry.

The results have been disastrous. The vast confusion and ignorance of even elementary subjects in religious teachings among the seemingly “educated” classes today is unprecedented. Today one can find all sorts of un-Islamic ideas and practices, conjectures, whims, and desires finding approval in the “Ijtihaddom” that has been concocted. What is more we also make a virtue out of this catastrophe by bragging that we have broken the “shackles of blind following” and opened direct access to the original sources of Islamic teachings. But no amount of bragging can hide the fact that this is the equivalent of allowing unlicensed and untrained people to practice medicine. Although in this case the resulting death and injury is not physical and is therefore less visible.

The reasons for this malaise are complex but two stand out. First, the schooling of our “educated” people included very little or none of Islamic education. Plainly, we do not know and we do not know that we do not know. Second, many of us harbor great mistrust of those who have received formal Islamic education. In turn this is also based on ignorance of what constitutes such education. It is a distant world, a black box, and all we know is that there is something wrong with it.

For a change let us visit a darul-uloom where they are screening candidates for admission to the next ifta class. The top scorers from the regular alim course were given a test and just the top ten scorers from the test will be brought for interview. They are tested not only for their knowledge of Arabic and religious texts but also their ability to understand complex real life situations and to communicate well. Once they graduate, they will do an internship for years under qualified and experienced muftis. But even the best of their teachers will consult others when they face a difficult issue. After exercising the best of caution they will learn to say “Allah knows best” at the end of their answers.

It is not to say that the decline of Muslim political power and the general decline of Muslim civilization has had no effect on this area of activity or our darul-iftas are running problem free. But can anyone in all honesty declare that an alternative that misses each and everyone of these features is better? There is a famous saying in Urdu. “A pseudo doctor is danger to life. A pseudo religious scholar is danger to faith.” Do we know the danger?

All praise is due to Allaah who expressed the highest praise for the “caller” to his religion saying:

“And who is better in speech than one who calls to Allaah and works righteousness and says: ‘Surely I am of the Muslims.’ ” (Glorious Quran, 41: 33).

And the Prophet (PBUH ) said,

“For Allaah to guide someone by your hand is better for you than anything this world contains.” (Sahih Al Bukhari, vol. 4, pp. 156-7, no. 253.)

Since people are often at a loss as to how they should go about giving da‘wah, and use their ignorance as an excuse not to do anything, the following list of more than eighty suggestions ( all suggestions will be posted in short parts In Sha Allah.) have been compiled from among the many possible ways to give da‘wah in order to make the way easier:

Dawah At Home:

1. Household library. Prepare a collection of books, magazines and tapes according to what is suitable for the various age groups (with consideration of what are suitable for all the members of the family).

2. Posters. Make a bulletin board for the home on which announcements for Islaamic lectures and events can be posted in order to remind the family of important events and lectures.

3. Family lessons. Read from a book, listen to a tape or memorize a portion from the Qur’aan and hadeeth together as a group.

4. Family Competitions. Engage family members in Islaamic competitions and maybe the prize is writing the winner’s name on the honor roll in the house).

5. Family Magazine. Create a family magazine by having family members participate writing essays or in cutting articles and pictures related to Islaam from the magazines and newspapers which you bring home.

6. Participation in Islaamic Social Work. Have your brother or son accompany you to the prayers, lectures or to visit a sick person or a scholar or the offices of Da‘wah.

7. Righteous Acts in Public. Do some righteous acts in front of the family, such as prayer, reading Qur’aan and giving charity, as an example for them to learn from.

Human Body Predicted Way Back Before 1400 yrs ago

Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) reported Allah’s Messenger (Peace be upon him) as saying: “Everyone has been created with three hundred and sixty Joints.

Whoever mentions Allah’s greatness (says Allahu Akbar), praises Allah, extols Allah, and seeks forgiveness from Allah and removes stones from the path of the people, enjoins what is good and forbids the evil to the amount of those three hundred and sixty joints (sulama), he walks on that Day (of Judgment) having distanced himself from the Hell fire.”

(Sahih Muslim, The Book of Zakat, Number 2199)

Narrated Buraydah ibn al-Hasib (May Allah be pleased with him):

“I heard the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) say,

“A human being has three hundred and sixty joints for each of which he must give alms. “

The people asked him: “Who is capable of doing this?”

He replied:” It may be mucus in the mosque which you bury, and something which you remove from the road; but if you do not find such, two rak’ahs in the forenoon will be sufficient for you.“

(Sunan Abu-Dawud, General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab), Book 41, Number 5222)

The Scientific Fact: The joint is a point of articulation of two bones, a bone and gristle, or two gristles in anypart of the human body.

The total number of joints, according to scientists, are:

1- Skull joints: 86

2- Throat joints: 6

3- Thorax joints: 66

4- Spine and Pelvis joints: 76

5- Upper limbs: 32 x 2 = 64

6- Lower limbs: 31 x 2= 62

Total number of joints: 360

Facets of Scientific Inimitability: Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), said that there are three hundred and sixty joints in the human body. He declared this fact when although at that time it was impossible to know such information with precision as most of these joints are fine and in positions where it is hard to notice. The exact number of joints was not discovered until development in the fields of anatomy and histology.

Thus, the Prophet (peace be upon him) accurately pinpointed the number of joints fourteen centuries ago while modern anatomy came to assert this scientific fact only recently.

This is yet another miracle of the miracles of the revelation that nobody knew at the period of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

Allah says in the Noble Quran;

"We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness?"

(41:53)

SWINE FLU Prevention and Protection:

What is Swine Flu? (Swine Influenza A [H1N1 and H3N2v] Virus)

Swine flu (swine influenza) is a respiratory disease caused by viruses (influenza viruses) that infect the respiratory tract of pigs, resulting in nasal secretions, a barking cough, decreased appetite, and listless behavior. Swine flu produces most of the same symptoms in pigs as human flu produces in people.

Swine flu can last about one to two weeks in pigs that survive. Swine influenza virus was first isolated from pigs in 1930 in the U.S. and has been recognized by pork producers and veterinarians to cause infections in pigs worldwide. In a number of instances, people have developed the swine flu infection when they are closely associated with pigs (for example, farmers, pork processors), and likewise, pig populations have occasionally been infected with the human flu infection. In most instances, the cross-species infections (swine virus to man; human flu virus to pigs) have remained in local areas and have not caused national or worldwide infections in either pigs or humans. Unfortunately, this cross-species situation with influenza viruses has had the potential to change. Investigators decided the 2009 so-called "swine flu" strain, first seen in Mexico, should be termed novel H1N1 flu since it was mainly found infecting people and exhibits two main surface antigens, H1 (hemagglutinin type 1) and N1 (neuraminidase type1). The eight RNA strands from novel H1N1 flu have one strand derived from human flu strains, two from avian (bird) strains, and five from swine strains.

What Causes Swine Flu?

The cause of the 2009 swine flu was an influenza A virus type designated as H1N1. In 2011, a new swine flu virus was detected. The new strain was named influenza A (H3N2)v. Only a few people (mainly children) were first infected, but officials from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported increased numbers of people infected in the 2012-2013 flu season. Currently, there are not large numbers of people infected with H3N2v. Unfortunately, another virus termed H3N2 (note no "v" in its name) has been detected and caused flu, but this strain is different from H3N2v. In general, all of the influenza A viruses have a structure similar to the H1N1 virus; each type has a somewhat different H and/or N structure.

How Swine Flue spreads to Human's?

Swine flu is transmitted from person to person by inhalation or ingestion of droplets containing virus from people sneezing or coughing; it is not transmitted by eating cooked pork products. The newest swine flu virus that has caused swine flu is influenza A H3N2v (commonly termed H3N2v) that began as an outbreak in 2011. The "v" in the name means the virus is a variant that normally infects only pigs but has begun to infect humans. There have been small outbreaks of H1N1 since the pandemic; a recent one is in India where at least three people have died.

How can we Prevent from Swine Flu (A Simple Advice from Doctors Note)

Preventing Swine Flu: The only portals of entry are the nostrils, ears and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible to avoid coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock up on N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all20temptations to touch any part of face or put your fingers in your mouth.

3. Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you prefer it to salt water). H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4. Similar to 3 above, clean your ears out with drops of hydrogen peroxide; clean nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (Neti Pot is a very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), although it is easy to do once you get used to it...but blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population. (Neti pots and sinus rinse kits are available at the drug store, or online, and are relatively inexpensiveŠ.under $15.

5. Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). If you supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc, or you can take extra zinc, to boost absorption.

6. Drink as much of warm liquids, such as tea, as you can. Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. It washes off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) view upon spreading of Epidemics:

Muslims who obey the blessed Prophet, would be expected to set the example for others by remaining in the stricken area. They would also be expected to care for those affected by the epidemic (rather than scorn and ostracize them) knowing that by taking care of the stricken they may have the good fortune to die as martyrs. It is in this context that we can understand the Prophet’s declaration that epidemics were “punishment sent by Allah on whom He wished, and Allah made it a source of mercy for the believers, for if one in the time of an epidemic stays in his place patiently hoping for Allah's Reward and believing that nothing will befall him except what Allah has written for him, (and he dies) he will get the reward of a martyr" (Sahīh Bukhāri).

The Prophet declared, as only a true Prophet could declare, that “death from epidemic is martyrdom for every Muslim” (Sahīh Bukhāri)

It was in consequence of that assurance of martyrdom for those who have faith in Allah Most High, that the Prophet could give an order that would today evoke the envy of governments: "If you hear of an epidemic outbreak in a land, do not enter it; but if it breaks out in a place while you are in it, do not leave that place"(Sahīh Bukhāri). It should be clear that obedience of the Prophet’s command would effectively quarantine the epidemic and eventually contain it and prevent its spread to other places.

The Prophet also prophesied the occurrence of epidemics as a Sign of the Last Day:

"Count six signs that indicate the approach of the Hour: my death, the conquest of Jerusalem, an epidemic that will afflict you (and cause you to die in great numbers) as the plague that afflicts sheep, the increase of wealth to such an extent that even if one is given one hundred Dinārs, he will not be satisfied; then an affliction which no Arab house will escape . . .” (Sahīh Bukhāri).

The Quran is the word of God and it has many miraculous attributes proving this fact. These facts could not have been known at the time of the Quran's revelation, and this is still more proof that the Qur'an is the word of God. Moreover , All those things that are forbidden in Islam are banned because of their harms to the human body .

Forbidden of Swine/Pork Meat in Quran:

The Holy Quran has mentioned the forbiddance of the swine meat in four verses:

1-Allah (SWT) says what means in the Holy Qu'ran : {He has forbidden you only the Maitah(dead animals ), and blood and the meat of swine and that, which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols on which Allah’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity without willful disobedience nor transgressing due limits, then there is no sin on him. Truly, Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful} Al-Baqarah 173

2-And Allah (SWT) says what means in the Holy Quran : {Forbidden to you (for food) are: Al-Maitah (the dead animals – cattle-beast not slaughtered). Blood, the meat of swine, and that on which Allah’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering (that which has been slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah, or has been slaughtered for idols) and that which has been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a heading fall, or by the goring of horn- and that which has been (partly) eaten by a wild animal- unless you are able to slaughter it (before its death)- and that which is sacrificed (slaughtered) on An-Nusub (stone- altars)(Forbidden) also is to use arrows seeking luck or decision : (all) that is Fisqun( disobedience of Allah and sin).This day, those who disbelieved have given up all hope of Your religion: so fear them not, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above mentioned meats), then surely, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful} Al-Ma’idah: 3

3-And Allah (SWT ) says what means in the Holy Quran {Say (Oh Mohammed -PBUH -) “ I found not in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be Maitah (a dead animal) or blood poured forth (by slaughtering or the like), or the meat of swine (pork); for that, is impure or impious (unlawful) meat (of an animal) which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols, or in which Allah’s Name has not being mentioned while (slaughtering).But Whosoever is forced by necessity without willful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits;( for him) certainly, your lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful } Al-An’ am 145

4- Also Allah (SWT) says what means in the Holy Quran {He has forbidden you only Al-Maitah (meat of dead animal), blood, the meat of swine, and any animal which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols or on which Allah’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity, without willful disobedience, and not transgressing, then, Allah is Oft- forgiving, most Merciful} An-Nahl 115

The viral and germinal disease (The swine Flu). This disease spreads in form of epidemic that affects millions of people. The serious effects of this disease is the brain infection, heart hypertrophy (enlargement) .The world witnessed the last hit of this disease in 1918 where more than 20 people had suffered from it.

"Islamic prescription to avoid swine flu:

Doctors today are amazed to discover in the teachings of Islam, more than 1400 years ago, the presence of many Islamic/prophetic preventative health measures which will enable us to avoid almost all swine flu infections. these Islamic health measures are:

• Islam has prohibited not only the eating of pork, but selling it and any kind of business with pigs; all Muslims in their life cannot work with pigs in any shape or form or get close to them; no pigs are allowed in Muslim farms, slaughterhouses, halal butcher shops, restaurants, imports/exports etc. The pig is considered najiss in Islam, very unclean, unhygienic and most filthy of all animals and harmful to health. This great Islamic health measure, on its own, will avert from Muslims almost all infections by swine flu and many other infections and diseases coming from the consumption of pork (about 80).

• Any practicing Muslim will wash his/her hands automatically and frequently over 30 times during the day: three times we wash our hands before each of the five daily prayers when doing ablution, in all 15 times of hand washing.

• Also we are ordered by the final prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) to wash our hands after waking up, after going to the toilet, before eating, after eating, when genitals or a dead body are touched. Also to wash six times when one is touched by a dog, the 7th by sand; plus the repeated hand washing when one is ordered to have many showers during the week.

• During ablution and before each of the five daily prayers, every Muslim should wash and blow his/her nose three times. The mouth is to be washed three times too. Most people get swine flu infection through the nose and mouth.

• When sneezing, every Muslim is ordered to cover his/her nose/mouth by his/her hands, or with added tissues and to control and reduce the intensity of the sneeze, thus avoiding the spread of the infective viruses. It is recommended to wash the hands after sneezing.

• Islam opposes the greeting of any friend or relative by kissing the cheek/face etc. Handshakes and hugging are the recommended way of greeting in Islam.

• When an area has become infected or infectious, the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has prohibited us from leaving the area or to enter an infected area. Also he said, " No one with an infectious illness should come close to a healthy person".

• We are ordered by the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to find the right treatment or cure for any illness/infection one can have, thus quickly reducing the spread of any infectious disease to the community society.

• We are advised by the prophet peace be upon him too to take the Black seed (which has been found to strengthen the immune system) and to consume honey frequently, found today as a treatment//cure for a lot of diseases.

• Breastfeeding provides a lot of antibodies against many viral infections and diseases. Breast is best for both child and mother. We can offer some natural protection to our children through continuous breastfeeding at times of epidemics or plagues.

• A special prayer ( du'aa ) is said to avoid being afflicted by any disease or illness especially at the time of epidemics or pandemics or when the disease is spreading.

Amazingly many of these prophetic health measures are being called for today by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Department of Health in order to avoid the swine flu infection!

Islamic Supplication for Protection and Cure from all Illness:

The same prayer applies for Muslims and Non-Muslims; Allah will inshallah (God willing) cure/protect them from illnesses including swine flu.

The procedure below should be followed precisely and then one should blow on a glass of water and drink it or blow on a tablespoon of honey and lick it .

(A) Recite three times any Durud Sharif (Salutation) upon Prophet Muhammad, example below:

Translation: O Allah, bestow your blessings upon the unlettered Prophet and upon his family; and bestow your Mercy upon him and his family

Transliteration: Allahumma Salle 'Alaa Muhammadinin Nabiyyil Ummiyyi wa-'Alaa Aalehi wa-sallim Tasleeyma.

(B) Recite three times Surah Al-FatiHah of the Quran:

Translation:

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the universe.

Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Master of the Day of Judgment.

You alone we worship; You alone we ask for help.

Guide us in the right path;

the path of those whom you blessed, not of those who have deserved your wrath nor those who have gone astray (Ameen)

Transliteration:

Bismillah-Ir-Rahmaanir-Raheem

Al-Hamdu-lillaahi Rabbil-`alameen

Ar-RaHmaanir-RaHeemMaliki yowmid-deen

Iyyaka na`budu wa 'iyyaaka nasta`iyn

Ghuyril-maghdubi `alayhim wa lad-dwaalleen (Ameen)

(C) Recite 131 times the following:

Translation: O Giver of Peace!

Transliteration: Yaa Salaamu

(D) Recite 3 times the following:

Translation: O Allah, I seek your refuge from insanity, mutilation, leprosy and from all serious illnesses.

Transliteration: Allahumma Inni Aa-oothu-bika minal jonoo-ni wal-juthami wal-barasi wassayi-il-asqaam.

(E) Recite 78 times the following:

Translation: O The One who encompasses everything!

Transliteration: Yaa MuHeetu

(F) Repeat three times any Durud Sharif (Salutation) upon Prophet Muhammad, example below:

Translation: O Allah, bestow your blessings upon the unlettered Prophet and upon his family; and bestow your Mercy upon him and his family

CAIRO – Germany's young footballer Danny Blum has announced his reversion to Islam, describing it as a religion of hope and strength.

"They are devout Christians. But soon they said that I have to go that route if I believe that it is right," he said.

“Islam is a peaceful religion. My faith says: never force anyone to do what he does not want. If you think, it has to come voluntarily from the heart!"

The purpose of creation is a topic that puzzles every human being at some point in his or her lifetime. Everybody, at some time or another, asks themselves the question: "Why do I exist?" or "For what purpose am I here on earth?"

Let's Find Out The Purpose of Mankind Creation:

Before the creation of Mankind, there existed Angels/Farishte, Jinn/Satan etc, The Angels doesn't have free will, except Jinn/Satan and Mankind. Allah has honored Mankind by creating them to be His vicegerents on earth. He gave us free will, which makes us higher than the angels. When He created us, He did not create us for His own benefit, but for ours. He created us for our advantage, not His.

Our purpose of existence on earth is more meaningful than being slaves to worldly gains. There can be no meaningful life better than that prescribed by our Creator, Allah. Every act done according to Allah's way is an act of worship. Man is the beneficiary and Allah is in no need. The Qur’an says what means:

{O mankind! It is you who stand in need of Allah, but Allah is Rich [Free of all wants and needs], Worthy of all praise.} (Fatir 35:15)

We need Allah to feel our own being and to taste the happiness of life. Our need for Him is like the need for a baby for a supporting father and a merciful mother. We need to admit our powerlessness to Him and to trust Him to give us might and power since He is the source of all might and power. A prophetic tradition reads:

“O Allah, I seek refuge in You for Your pleasure and against Your wrath and in Your forgiveness and against Your punishment and in You from You. I cannot praise You as You can praise Yourself.” (Reported by Muslim, Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.)

Allah is He besides Whom there is no God, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great. (Al-Baqarah 2:255)

Allah does not need to be worshiped; rather, we need to worship Him. Our need of God stems from our innate need of someone to help us and give us safety.

Virtues of Mankind towards its Creation:

There is no better way to learn about Islam than to read the Holy Qur'an and to observe the practices of a devout Muslim. The Holy Qur'an, the revelation given to Prophet Muhammad over 1400 years ago, is an instruction book for people of all times and all places as to how one can live their life correctly. It contains therein, among other things, the qualities that one should adopt in order to please the Creator and to obtain true peace on Earth. The ultimate result of a sincere striving towards such qualities would be the fulfillment of the human being's purpose in this life (submission to the One God) and the attainment of the reward in the next life (eternal Paradise!)

Pillar of Islam

Muslims believe that only when humanity believes in the One God and sincerely follows the teachings of this divine book, will all the problems of the world then be solved.

Following are the Virtues of Mankind towards God/Allah:

RIGHTEOUSNESS

"Do no evil nor mischief on the (face of the) earth." (2:60)
"Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong." (3:104)
"Do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbors who are of kin, neighbors who are strangers, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (ye meet), and what your right hands possess." (4:36)
"[God] forbids all indecent deeds, and evil and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition." (16:90)
"Verily the most honored of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you." (49:13)

GENEROSITY

"Give of the good things which ye have (honorably) earned, and of the fruits of the earth which We have produced for you." (2:267)
"If ye disclose (acts of) charity, even so it is well, but if ye conceal them, and make them reach those (really) in need, that is best for you ." (2:271)
"By no means shall ye attain righteousness unless ye give (freely) of that which ye love." (3:92)
"Those saved from the covetousness of their own souls, they are the ones that achieve prosperity." (59:9)
"[Do not] expect, in giving, any increase (for thyself)!" (74:6)

GRATITUDE

"Eat of the good things that We have provided for you, and be grateful to God, if it is Him ye worship." (2:172)
"Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal." (31:14)
"[God] liketh not ingratitude from His servants: if ye are grateful, He is pleased with you." (39:7)

CONTENTMENT

"In no wise covet those things in which God hath bestowed His gifts more freely on some of you than on others: to men is allotted what they earn, and to women what they earn: but ask God of His bounty." (4:32)

HUMILITY

"Call on your Lord with humility and in private: for God loveth not those who trespass beyond bounds." (7:55)
"Celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration." (15:98)
"The servants of (God) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, 'Peace!'" (25:63)
"Exult not, for God loveth not those who exult (in riches)." (28:76)
"Swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for God loveth not any arrogant boaster." (31:18)

KINDNESS

"God loveth those who are kind." (5:13)
"Be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: 'My Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood.'" (17:23-24)
"We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning." (31:14)
"Treat not the orphan with harshness, nor repulse him who asks." (93:9-10)

COURTESY

"When a (courteous) greeting is offered you, meet it with a greeting still more courteous, or (at least) of equal courtesy. God takes careful account of all things." (4:86)
"Let not some men among you laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor let some women laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames." (49:11)

PURITY

"Eat of what is on earth, lawful and good; and do not follow the footsteps of the Satan, for he is to you an avowed enemy." (2:168)
"[God] loves those who keep themselves pure and clean." (2:222)
"When ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body... God doth not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean." (5:6)

GOOD SPEECH

"Say to My servants that they should (only) say those things that are best: for Satan doth sow dissensions among them." (17:53)
"[The believers] have been guided... to the purest of speeches." (22:24)
"Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and backbiter." (104:1)

RESPECT

"Say to the People of the Book and to those who are unlearned: 'Do ye (also) submit yourselves?' If they do, they are in right guidance, but if they turn back, thy duty is to convey the Message." (3:20)
"Enter not houses other than your own, until ye have asked permission and saluted those in them: that is best for you, in order that ye may heed (what is seemly). If ye find no one in the house, enter not until permission is given to you: if ye are asked to go back, go back: that makes for greater purity for yourselves." (24:27-28)
"Avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion in some cases is a sin: and spy not on each other, nor speak ill of each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother?" (49:12)

WISDOM

"Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious." (16:125)

TOLERANCE

"Say: 'O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, lords and patrons other than God.' If then they turn back, say ye: 'Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to God's Will).'" (3:64)
"If it had been thy Lord's Will, they would all have believed, all who are on earth! Wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe!" (10:99)

JUSTICE

"Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for God can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve." (4:135)
"God loveth those who judge in equity." (5:42)
"Take not life, which God hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law." (6:151)

MERCY

"If the debtor is in a difficulty, grant him time till it is easy for him to repay. But if ye remit it by way of charity, that is best for you if ye only knew." (2:280)
"We ordained therein for them: 'Life for life, eye for eye, nose or nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal.' But if any one remits the retaliation by way of charity, it is an act of atonement for himself." (5:45)
"Overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness." (15:85)
"Repel (Evil) with what is better: then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate!" (41:34)
"(It is) for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord... when they are angry even then forgive." (42:36-37)

DIGNITY

"To those against whom war is made, permission is given (to fight), because they are wronged." (22:39)
"If any do help and defend themselves after a wrong (done) to them, against such there is no cause of blame." (42:41)

COURAGE

"(It is) for those who believe... when an oppressive wrong is inflicted on them, (are not cowed but) help and defend themselves." (42:36-39)

FIRMNESS

"How many of the Prophets fought (in God's way), and with them (fought) large bands of godly men? But they never lost heart if they met with disaster in God's way, nor did they weaken (in will) nor give in. And God loves those who are firm and steadfast." (3:146)
"Bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs." (31:17)

FRANKNESS

"Fear God, and make your utterance straight forward: That He may make your conduct whole and sound." (33:70-71)

HOPE

"Here is a plain statement to men, a guidance and instruction to those who fear God. So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For ye must gain mastery if ye are true in Faith." (3:138-139)
"What is with you must vanish: what is with God will endure. And We will certainly bestow, on those who patiently persevere, their reward according to the best of their actions." (16:96)

PATIENCE

"Seek (God's) help with patient perseverance and prayer: It is indeed hard, except to those who are humble, who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord, and that they are to return to Him." (2:45-46)
"Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, who say, when afflicted with calamity: 'To God We belong, and to Him is our return'. They are those on whom
(descend) blessings from their Lord, and Mercy." (2:155-157)
"Pray for help from God, and (wait) in patience and constancy: for the earth is God's, to give as a heritage to such of His servants as He pleaseth; and the end is (best) for the righteous." (7:128)

PERSEVERANCE

"On no soul doth God place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns." (2:286)
"Ye shall certainly be tried and tested in your possessions and in your personal selves; and ye shall certainly hear much that will grieve you, from those who received the Book before you and from those who worship partners besides God. But if ye persevere patiently, and guard against evil, then that will be of great resolution." (3:186)

DISCIPLINE

"Bow down, prostrate yourselves, and adore your Lord; and do good; that ye may prosper. And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline)." (22:77-78)

SELF-RESTRAINT

"Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint." (2:183)
"[Do not follow] the lust (of thy heart), for it will mislead thee from the Path of God." (38:26)
"For such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires, their abode will be the Garden." (79:40-41)

BALANCE / MODERATION

"Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors." (2:190)
"Commit no excess: for God loveth not those given to excess." (5:87)
"And the servants of (God) Most Gracious are those who... when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes)." (25:63-67)
"Seek, with the (wealth) which God has bestowed on thee, the Home of the Hereafter, nor forget thy portion in this world: but do thou good, as God has been good to thee." (28:77)

PRUDENCE

"When ye deal with each other, in transactions involving future obligations in a fixed period of time, reduce them to writing... whether it be small or big; it is juster in the sight of God, more suitable as evidence, and more convenient to prevent doubts among yourselves." (2:282)
"If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done." (49:6)

UNITY

"Hold fast, all together, by the Rope which God (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude God's favor on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren." (3:103)

FRUGALITY

"Eat not up your property among yourselves in vanities." (4:29)
"Waste not by excess: for God loveth not the wasters." (6:141)

SINCERITY

"God will never change the grace which He hath bestowed on a people until they change what is in their (own) souls." (8:53)
"Woe to the worshippers... who (want but) to be seen." (107:4-6)

RESPONSIBILITY

"Whoever recommends and helps a good cause becomes a partner therein: And whoever recommends and helps an evil cause, shares in its burden." (4:85)

LOYALTY

"Fulfill (every) engagement, for (every) engagement will be inquired into (on the Day of Reckoning)." (17:34)

TRUSTWORTHINESS

"If one of you deposits a thing on trust with another, let the trustee (faithfully) discharge his trust, and let him fear God." (2:283)
"God doth command you to render back your trusts to those to whom they are due." (4:58)

HONESTY / FAIR-DEALING

"Cover not Truth with falsehood, nor conceal the Truth when ye know (what it is)." (2:42)
"Take not your oaths, to practice deception between yourselves." (16:94)
"Truly many are the partners (in business) who wrong each other: Not so do those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and how few are they?" (38:24)
"Woe to those that deal in fraud, - Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure, but when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due." (83:1-3)

REPENTANCE

"Seek ye the forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance; that He may grant you enjoyment, good (and true), for a term appointed ." (11:3)

Why God has given Free will to Mankind???:

Free will to Humans is to obey or not to obey God. The proponent of this school say that man is automatically aware that he possesses freedom in his actions; he can decide as he wishes and fashion his own fate in accordance with his own will and inclinations. The existence that decrees responsibility for man, the regret man feels for certain acts he commits, the punishments the law provides for criminals, the deeds men accomplish in order to change the course of history, the foundation of science and technology—all of these prove man to be free in his actions.

It would be completely meaningless were God, on the one hand, to compel men to do certain things and, on the other, to reward or punish them. It would surely be unjust were the Creator of the world to set us on whatever path He chose, by means of His power and His will, and then to punish us for actions we have committed without any choice on our part.

If the deeds of men are, in reality, the acts of God, all corruption, evil and cruelty must be regarded as His work, whereas His most sacred being is utterly pure of all such corruption and injustice.

If there were no free choice for a man, the whole concept of man's religious accountability would be unjust. The oppressive tyrant would deserve no blame and the just would merit no praise because responsibility has meaning only within the sphere of what is possible and attainable by man.

All beings in the world enjoy a form of guidance particular to the stage of development they have reached; their specific forms of guidance correspond to their different degrees of existence.

Man who has attained the highest level of development as the only being possessing the faculty of independent will and discernment has a relatively low level of instinctual power. As he gradually attains his freedom, he is progressively beset with relative weakness in his sensory capacities.

For free will and choice to express themselves, a factor opposing natural instinct must exist. Man will, then, be caught between two opposing attractions, each seeking to gain his obedience, so that he is compelled to choose the path he desires, freely, consciously, and relying on his own efforts and resources. Free of all determining factors and mental preconceptions, he begins the work of making and developing himself on the basis of specific principles and criteria.

Once faced with this element of contradiction, man cannot attain equilibrium or choose a correct path for himself by acting as an automaton or refraining from all effort. Bearing as he does the burden of the divine trust, the great divine gift that the heavens and the earth were unfit to receive, man alone proving worthy of accepting it, man is confronted with only two choices in his conflict and struggle.

Either he becomes a prisoner to the tyranny of instinct and unbridled desire, thus debasing and degrading himself; or, drawing on his abundant capacities of will, thought and decision, he embarks on the path of growth and development and begins to ascend.

In all the verses that are concerned with God's will, not even one can be found which attributes man's volitional acts to the divine will. Thus, the Quran proclaims:

"Whoever does the smallest good deed shall experience the result of it, and whoever does the slightest evil deed shall experience the result of it." (99:7-8)

"Certainly you are accountable for what you do." (16:93)

"Those who assign partners to God say that their worship of idols and other deeds derive from God's will; had God not willed it, they and their forefathers would not have become polytheists, and they would not practice the deeds of the Age of ignorance. Those who went astray in previous times also spoke such nonsense, denying the heavenly teachings and attributing their misguidance to God but they suffered the punishment for their lies and their slander. Say to them, O Prophet: 'Do you have a decisive proof for what you say? If you do not, your excuses are nothing but the result of erroneous ideas and fantasies; you speak vainly and lying.'(6:148)

The Noble Qur’an clearly states in some of its verses that God has shown man the path to salvation, but he is compelled neither to accept guidance and salvation nor to fall into misguidance.

("We have shown man the path of truth and the path of falsehood; he may choose either the path of guidance and offer the thanks, or choose the path of ingratitude)." (76:3)

People Behavior against Islam:

Following September 11, 2001 attacks on World Trade Center, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reported a 1,700 percent increase of hate crimes against Muslim Americans between 2000 to 2001 (Anderson, 2002).

People hate Islam

During the process of adjusting to the aftermath of September 11, Muslim Americans faced an upsurge in negative stereotypes expressed by the larger society (American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, 2003; Cassel, 2006) and Muslim immigrants, more than any other immigrant group, were met with negative attitudes (Council of American Islamic Relations, 2003; Saroglou & Galand, 2004). Since then, increased racial and religious animosity has left Arabs, Middle Easterners, Muslims, and those who bear stereotyped physical resemblance to members of these groups, fearful of potential hatred and hostility from persons of other cultures (Abu-Ras & Suarez, 2009; Baqi-Aziz, 2001; Kira et al., 2010; Rippy & Newman, 2006)

Despite negative stereotypes of Muslims reported in the media, little psychological research has been conducted to characterize non-Muslim attitudes toward Muslim Americans. One study was published exploring negative attitudes toward Arabs, whereas none has been conducted regarding Muslims (Sergent, Woods, & Sedlacek, 1992). Research focusing on Islamophobia, a dread or hatred of Islam, has been conducted in Europe where a survey in the United Kingdom indicated that discrimination against Muslims has increased in recent years (Sheridan, 2006).

What People Realize about Islam against their Hate:

Like a lot of other people in the haze and confusion of the 9/11 attacks, Johannah Segarich asked herself: "What kind of religion is this that could inspire people to do this?" She had studied other religions, but never Islam.

Reverted Muslims

So she bought a copy of the Quran, wondering if her notions of Islam as a patriarchal and now seemingly violent religion, would be confirmed. Then she got to the first chapter, with its seven-line message about seeking guidance from a merciful creator. She finished the Quran a few weeks later, then started reading it again. About half way through, barely 10 weeks after 9/11, "I came to the realization," she said, "that I had a decision to make." Segarich began studying Islam more intensely, and within a few months, the Utah-born music instructor made her Islamic declaration of faith or shahada, at the Islamic Society of Boston in Cambridge.

Indeed, it seems counter intuitive that Americans would consider joining a religion that many associate with terrorism and violence -- especially after 9/11. But there are more than a few people like Segarich who, compelled by curiosity, became converts. The majority of post-9/11 converts are women, according to experts. Hispanics and African-Americans, who were already converting well before 9/11, are the most common ethnic groups to convert.

Some conversions make headlines, such as Yvonne Ridley, a British journalist who converted in 2003 after being held captive by Taliban; Lauren Booth, the sister-in-law of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair; or the rapper known as Loon, who converted last year.

And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.

It is a fact that Islam is growing rapidly in the West. In the U.S. alone the number of Muslims has risen dramatically, from about 10,000 in 1900 to 3 million or more in 1991 (some authorities say 4.5 million). Most of this growth is due to recent immigration and the high birth rate of Muslims (5 children per family on average), rather than to conversion. Still, the number of those who convert to Islam is significant. In the U.S., the majority are African-American (a third of all Muslims according to most authorities), but there have also been significant numbers of Anglos to convert as well, many of them well-educated.

What is motivating people to turn to Islam? A recent article in Christianity Today (Aug 20,1990) reported that in the U.S., the average age of those converting to Islam (31) is about twice that for conversion to Christian faith (age 16). It listed 5 main reasons given for becoming Muslim: Islam's doctrine is simple and rational, all believers are equal, it is a "practical" religion, and lacks a priesthood. I read and clipped the article at the time, but when I recently pulled it out to re-read it, it struck me that those "reasons" merely parrot the arguments Muslim apologists use to propagate Islam. On reflection, I would say that all that they show is that Muslim apologetics is having some effect, but these are not necessarily what is motivating Americans to become Muslim.

Conclusion:

The Sun Will Eventually Expire According To Quran

And the Sun runs to its resting place. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. (Surah Ya Sin, 38)

According to history of Islam the Quran says the Sun has been emitting heat for around 5 billion years as a result of the constant chemical reactions taking place on its surface. At a moment determined by Allah in the future, these reactions will eventually come to an end, and the Sun will lose all its energy and finally go out. In that context, the above verse may be a reference to the Sun's energy one day coming to an end. (Islamic religion and beliefs according to Quran.)

At this stage the Sun will continually contract, glowing fainter and fainter with energy derived from the collapse and not fusion, until the remnant Sun is compressed so much that it is about the size of the Moon. At the beginning of this collapse more gas is lost from the outer layers of the Sun, forming what is known as a "Planetary Nebulae," a shell of gas that has nothing to do with planets. The white dwarf stage is very, very long. The Sun will slowly fade .

In the religion of Islam the Arabic word "alhubuki," translated as "furnished with paths" in verse 7 of Surat adh-Dhariyat, comes from the verb "hubeke," meaning "to weave closely, to knit, to bind together." The use of this word in the verse is particularly wise and represents the current state of scientific knowledge in two aspects of history of Islamic religion.

The first is this: The orbits and paths in the universe are so dense and intertwined that they constitute

intersecting paths, just like the threads in a piece of fabric. The Solar System we live in is made up of the Sun, the planets and their satellites and heavenly objects in constant motion such as meteors and comets. The Solar System moves through the galaxy known as the Milky Way, which contains 400 billion stars. It is estimated that there are billions of galaxies. Celestial bodies and systems revolving at speeds of thousands of kilometers an hour move through space without colliding with one another.

The second aspect of history of Islamic belief is that the description in the Quran of the sky using a word meaning "woven" may be a reference to the String Theory of physics. (Allah knows the truth.) According to this theory, the basic elements that comprise the universe are not point-like particles, but strings resembling miniature violin strings. These tiny, identical and one dimensional strings oscillating in the form of filaments are regarded as being like loops in appearance. It is assumed that the origin of all the diversity in the universe lies in the way these strings vibrate at different vibrations, in the same way that violin strings produce different sounds with different vibrations.

Let consider what Professor of Physics Abhay Ashtekar from the University of Pennsylvania and Professor of Physics Jerzy Lewandowski from the University of Warsaw interpret the woven appearance of space as follows in an article titled "Space and Time Beyond Einstein":

In this theory, Einstein wove the gravitational field into the very fabric of space and time... The continuum we are all used to is only an approximation. Perhaps the simplest way to visualize these ideas is to look at a piece of fabric. For all practical purposes, it represents a 2-dimensional continuum; yet it is really woven by 1-dimensional threads. The same is true of the fabric of space-time. It is only because the "quantum threads" which weave this fabric are tightly woven in the region of the universe we inhabit that we perceive a continuum. Upon intersection with a surface, each thread, or polymer excitation, endows it with a tiny "Plank quantum" of area of about 10-66 cm2. So an area of 100 cm2 has about 1068 such intersections; because the number is so huge, the intersections are very closely spaced and we have the illusion of a continuum.

An Article in the New York Times seeking an answer to the question "How Was the Universe Built?" contained the following lines:

Even the tiny quarks that make up protons, neutrons and other particles are too big to feel the bumps that may exist on the Planck scale. More recently, though, physicists have suggested that quarks and everything else are made of far tinier objects: superstrings vibrating in 10 dimensions. At the Planck level, the weave of space-time would be as apparent as when the finest Egyptian cotton is viewed under a magnifying glass, exposing the warp and woof.

In his book Three Roads to Quantum Gravity, the theoretical quantum physicist Lee Smolin devotes one chapter to "How to Weave a String" and says this on the subject:

... space may be 'woven' from a network of loops... just like a piece of cloth is 'woven' from a network of threads.

Miracle of Qur'an: Moon Light is Reflected Light

What Quran says about Moon light:

"It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory (Diya'a) and the moon to be a light (Nur)" [Younus 10:5].

"And made the moon a light (Nur) in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp (Siraj)" [Nuh 71:16].

"Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp (Siraj) and a Moon giving light (Muneer)" [Al-Furqan 25:61].

"And We made a glowing lamp (Siraj Wahhaj)" [Al-Naba'a 78:13]

In the above verses, Allah SWT uses different terms to describe moonlight and sunlight, the former referred to as 'nur' and latter as 'diya'a' or 'siraj'. Consulting a dictionary on those terms shows that 'nur' and 'daw'' (origin of 'diya'a') both mean 'light'. However, the Quran never uses both terms interchangeably. Here we should ponder: if both lights were identical in nature, why were different Arabic terms in used to describe each light source? In addition, why is it that only the sun, and not the moon, is described as a 'siraj', or a lamp?

In the origin of Islam there are two types of light sources described in Islamic religion: direct sources like the sun and lamps, and indirect sources, like the moon and planets, which derive their light from other sources. In more than one verse, Allah SWT described the sun as a lamp, because both the sun and the lamp share the property of being direct sources of light. Arabic language is therefore more exact in using two different terms, 'nur' and 'diya'a' , that although have the same meaning in other languages, are actually different in terms of what source of light they refer to [10]. The Quran also describes the sun as'siraj wahhaj', meaning a glowing or flaming lamp, to show how the sun is luminous and burning with flame. Again, this concurs with the scientific description of the sun as a high energy producer

We enjoy the light from the Sun during the day, and then the comforting glow of the Moon at night. But the light coming from the Moon is an illusion. As you know, you’re actually seeing the reflected light from the Sun, bouncing off the Moon which acts like a mirror. A really terrible mirror.

Sun rays on Moon

When astronauts walked on the surface, they reported that it was dark grey, the color of pavement. Because of its dark color and bumpy surface, it only reflects about 12% of the light that hits it. Additionally, the amount of light we get from the Moon depends on the point of its orbit.

During its first and last quarters, the Moon is half illuminated, but it’s only 8% as bright when it’s full. Just imagine the surface when its only partly illuminated. With the Sun at a steep angle, the mountains cast long shadows. This makes the lunar surface much darker than when it’s directly illuminated.

During the full Moon, it’s so bright that it obscures fainter objects in the night sky. Many astronomers put their telescopes away during this phase, and wait for it to go away. When the Moon is highly illuminated, it reflects so much light we can even see it during the day.

SWEDISH MASJID BOMBED WITH LOVE AFTER ATTACK

STOCKHOLM – In an outpouring support for the Muslim community in Sweden, hundreds gathered in Uppsala city on Friday, January 2, to show solidarity with Muslims after a series of mosque attacks.

“Each time there has been an attack, the same mosque has then received a kind of 'love bomb' where people have shown their support and sympathy,” Omar Mustafa, chairman of the Islamic Association in Sweden, told the Swedish news agency TT.

“A large part of the population is strongly against this type of attacks and tomorrow we will gather these good forces.”

Ahead of yesterday’s Friday prayer, Uppsala mosque was “lovebombed” with colorful paper hearts and messages of support that covered the building entrance.

The nice gesture from the society followed an earlier attack last Thursday on mosque when a man threw a burning object at the Muslims’ worshipping house.

Moreover, the main door of the mosque which was emblazoned with the slogan “Go home Muslim shit”.

Mosques in Sweden have been subject to growing number of attacks in recent months.

Thursday’s attack came just three days after a late night blaze at a mosque in Esloev in southern Sweden which police suspect as arson.

On Christmas day, five people were hurt in another fire at a mosque in Eskilstuna in central Sweden.

According to the anti-racism magazine Expo, there have been at least a dozen confirmed attacks on mosques in Sweden in the last year and a far larger number are believed to have gone unreported.

Muslims make up between 450,000 and 500,000 of Sweden’s nine million people, according to the US State Department report in 2011.

In 2013, around 300 hate crimes against Muslims were reported in Sweden.

Such incidents are on the rise according to the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brottsförebyggande rådet).

Rallies

Condemning the anti-Muslim attacks, thousands participated in Friday's support rallies in the countries three largest cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.

Held under the slogan “Don’t Touch My Mosque”, Friday's protests were attended by several officials and Muslim community leaders.

“We have invited representatives from the civil Muslim society. Together we will work out a strategy. It will be about shedding light across the country,” Sweden’s Minister for Culture and Democracy Alice Bah Kuhnke addressed the rally, euronews reported.

“A strategy Sweden unfortunately hasn’t had. But now it’s the time.”

A similar approach was suggested by Ardalan Shekarabi, Sweden's minister for public administration.

“We’re seeing a wave of Islamophobic propaganda,” the politician told Radio Sweden.

TAHNEEK - A FORGOTTEN SUNNAH OF MUHAMMAD(PBUH)

FORGOTTEN SUNNAH- TAHNEEK

Over 1400 years ago When a child was born to one of the families of the Sahaba (the Companions of the Prophet) they would take the new born to the Prophet (peace and blessed be upon him) so that he would bless newborn, and apply the pulp of a date, chewed by him, to the child's palate. This 'tahneek' as it is known in 'Arabic', was to keep the child safe from evil. Therefore, similarly when a child is born into a Muslim family, it should be taken to a virtuous, pious person, so that this person may supplicate for the child and perform the tahneek. Tahneek is among those Sunan whose practice has become rare.

Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) the wife of the Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Babies were brought to the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) and he blessed them, and after having chewed (something, e. g. dates or any other sweet thing) he rubbed there with their soft palates. A baby was brought to him and he passed water over him (over his garment), so he asked water to be brought and sprinkled it, but he did not wash it.

Today, BBC News has reported that "experts" have said - "A dose of sugar given as a gel rubbed into the inside of the cheek is a cheap and effective way to protect premature babies against brain damage"

Sahih Muslim Book 030, Number 5834:

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (pbuh) as saying: I am most akin to the son of Mary among the whole of mankind and the Prophets are of different mothers, but of one religion, and no Prophet was raised between me and him (Jesus Christ).

Book 030, Number 5835:

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (pbuh) as saying: I am most akin to Jesus Christ among the whole of mankind, and all the Prophets are of different mothers but belong to one religion and no Prophet was raised between me and Jesus.

Book 030, Number 5836:

Abu Huraira reported many ahadith from Allah's Messenger (pbuh) and one is that Allah's Messenger (pbuh) said: I am most close to Jesus, son of Mary, among the whole of mankind in this worldly life and the next life. They said: Allah's Messenger how is it? Thereupon he said: Prophets are brothers in faith, having different mothers. Their religion is, however, one and there is no Apostle between us (between I and Jesus Christ).

NOTES:

1. These are not the only references to Jesus by Muhammad in this vein. There are many more.

2. The prophet Muhammad explicitly states there is only ONE RELIGION.

3. Muhammad is closer to Jesus ie. Loves him more than the whole of mankind.

MIRACLES FOUND IN HONEY

More than 1400 years ago Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), told us that honey can heal a variety of medicinal problems.

Allah says in the Quran, "And the lord inspired the bee, saying: Take your habitations in the mountains and in the trees and in what they erect. Then, eat of all fruits and follow the ways of your Lord made easy (for you)'. There comes forth from their bellies a drink of varying colour wherein is healing for men. Verily in this is indeed a sign for people who think." [Qur'an 16:68-69]

The Prophet (peace be upon him), has also told us of the healing found within honey for a variety of medical problems, including stomach ailments. One hadeeth, reported by Bukhari, states that a man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him), because his brother had a stomach disorder. The Prophet said "Let him drink honey." The man returned a second time and again the Prophet (peace be upon him) responded again, "Let him drink honey." The man returned again, and said "I have done that." The Prophet then responded, "Allah has said the truth, but your brother's stomach has told a lie. Let him drink honey." He drank it and was cured.

Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Baihaqi also reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him), said, "Make use of the two remedies: honey and the Quran."

Modern medicine is only just learning of this fact. Traditional uses of honey have included honey mixed with lemon for sore throats. Honey coats the throat and reduces throat irritation. Research has already shown that honey blocks the growth of oral bacteria. Honey has also been used for stomach pains and problems. Modern research shows that honey is effective when used in the treatment of gastric or peptic stomach ulcers. Research has also revealed that honey is effective in the treatment of various wounds and infections because of its antimicrobial (antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal) properties.

Researchers are not absolutely sure why honey heals but they are learning new things about honey everyday. We do know that honey contains a variety of sugars and minerals. Honey is also considered an antioxidant. This means it allows the blood to circulate better and provide more oxygen to areas of the body such as the brain. Honey can also be used externally to promote healing when applied to wounds, even postoperative wounds. Honey has also been effective in its use to treat burns. It has even been shown to be low in calories and useful as a sweetener for diabetics, people with heart disease or those overweight.

As Muslims, we must acknowledge and accept that Allah and His Prophet (peace be upon him) know better and have revealed the truth. We should, therefore, study the research that is available, not to confirm or deny the truth that has been revealed by Allah and His Prophet (peace be upon him) but to learn of new ways we can use honey.

Do you know how important a food source the honey is, which Allah offers man by means of a tiny insect?
Honey is composed of sugars like glucose and fructose and minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium chlorine, sulphur, iron and phosphate.
It contains vitamins B1, B2, C, B6, B5 and B3 all of which change according to the qualities of the nectar and pollen. Besides the above, copper, iodine and zinc exist in it in small quantities. Several kinds of hormones are also present in it.

As Allah says in the Qur'an, honey is a "healing for men". This was confirmed by scientists who assembled during the World Apiculture Conference held from 20-26 September 1993 in China. During the conference, treatments with honey derivatives were discussed. American scientists in particular said that honey, royal jelly, pollen and propolis (bee resin) cure many diseases. A Romanian doctor stated that he tried honey on cataract patients, and 2002 out of his 2094 patients recovered completely. Polish doctors also informed the conference that bee resin helps to cure many diseases such as haemorrhoids, skin problems, gynaecological diseases and many other disorders.

Answer Salam (Peace) Dear Edna, Thank you for your question and for contacting Ask About Islam. It is a delight for me to answer it if this may help you in a small way to come closer to accepting Islam in your life. There is no reason at all why you may not visit a mosque. In fact, it would be better to say that you are most welcome to visit a mosque if your intention is good and you have respect for the place and for the worship that takes place there. The only people who would not be welcome to visit would be those whose intentions were to show disrespect to the place or to Islam, to cause harm to those present or those whose inappropriate dress or behavior caused offence to the Muslims who were present. I think this is quite reasonable and that it would be true of all religious places, wouldn't it? Your visit would be very interesting, because I am sure you would be surprised about many things. The first reason you will probably be surprised will be by the place itself. Whilst many mosques seem grand and splendid from the outside, there is, in fact, very little to see inside a mosque. The prayer hall, where the public worship takes place five times a day, is actually very plain, because of the nature of Islam itself. You will find no statues, nor paintings, nor depictive stained glass. There is no altar, nor elaborate robes, nor candlesticks. The prayer space will be carpeted and clean, since people will be putting their foreheads on the ground in worship of their Creator. In some of the grander mosques, these carpets may be works of art in themselves, but most mosques just have a simple carpet of one color, with horizontal lines showing the places for the rows of prayer. There will be two other necessary features in the mosque. The direction of Makkah, in which all Muslims have been commanded to pray by Allah Almighty, will be obvious by the mihrab, which is usually a small niche in the wall, indicating the direction of prayer. At one time, Muslims used to pray in the direction of Jerusalem, but Allah Almighty revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) when he was taken by night to Al-Aqsa Mosque, that the prayer direction from that moment on would be the Kabah in Makkah. By the way, Muslims don't worship the Kabah. It can do them neither good nor harm but, as the first house built on earth in worship of Allah, it is the unified direction in which Muslims pray. The other feature in the mosque will be the minbar, or pulpit, from which the sermon is given on a Friday. This can be elaborate or simple, but its function is simply to allow the preacher to be seen and heard when he gives his sermon. The second reason I think you will be surprised will be because of the simplicity of the worship that takes place in a mosque. In a mosque, Muslims pray together in worship of their Creator. It is a pure worship, not needing popes or priests or intermediaries of any kind. The one who leads the prayers will be a simple man from among the congregation, chosen by them because of his knowledge of Islam and the Quran, and because of the uprightness of his life. His duty is simply to lead the prayers, which all those present will say in exactly the same way when they are in their homes. There are no hymns or hymn sheets, nor Orders of Service. In fact, the prayer in common is quite brief, but individual Muslims may choose to stay on to make their own private prayers or to recite verses from the Quran. The third reason I think you may be surprised is by how unlike a church or a temple the mosque actually is, in terms of how people behave. People do not speak to one another in hushed tones, nor put on gloves or fancy hats. As well as a place of prayer, the mosque is a meeting place and a place of rest. You may find people talking there, sitting together in groups, or even lying on the floor asleep. The mosque is a living place, not a museum or a relic. And, by the way, you might not always find a minaret at the mosque you visit! Despite all the fuss caused by the banning of minarets in Switzerland, it is not necessary for a mosque to have a minaret. The original function of the minaret was to announce the call to prayer from its top. In our modern age, this can now be done by loudspeaker or even by text message, although a minaret can indeed be a very beautiful addition to the mosque's architecture. So, your question need not cause you to fear. It is true, however, that many Muslims may be unused to seeing non-Muslims in their midst in the mosque, and they may wonder what you are doing there. In the current climate of distrust and suspicion which exists between many people in the world, some of the Muslims might even think you are there to cause trouble. As I have said, though, if you enter with respect, taking off your shoes so as not to dirty the place where people will be praying, your presence should not cause any problem. If the people there speak your language (I am assuming you will visit a mosque in your own country), you might even approach someone to explain what you are doing there. On the other hand, for your first visit, you might prefer just to be quiet and watch what is going on. Many before you have had the same curiosity, only to find that they have been warmly received and have returned time and time again. This was certainly the case in my own experience. After venturing into the mosque for the first time, I became used to the people and the place and, over time, got to know many of the Muslims there. It was in that same mosque that I eventually declared my own Shahadah and became Muslim. I hope, then, that this has allayed some of your fears and will encourage you to visit a mosque soon. IN THE NAME OF ALLAH THE MOST BENEFICENT & MERCIFUL

Why Did Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) Married Young Aisha Siddiqa (r.a.)?

Through the centuries, orientalists have advance numerous accusations and far-fetched theories to discredit Islam and its last Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Praise be to Allah alone, all such accusations have been successfully refuted by the Muslims Ummah. Currently, one of the 'reinvented' accusations against the noble character of the Prophet is about his marriage to young Aisha Siddiqa (r.a.).

Let's probe some of the orientalists' charges in detail in the light of modern research, historic evidence and the Islamic sources of the Qur'an and the Sunnah to separate truth from falsehood, and display to the world that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is indeed an exemplary for all of mankind.

Two main theories are often advance by orientalists to attack the pure character of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on his marriage to Aisha (r.a.) at her young age.

A. He was a Paedophile.

B. He was involved in child abuse.

Let's analyse each theory to dig out the truth, through the Guidance of Allah (SWT).

A. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) married Aisha (r.a.) because he was a paedophile?

Definition of a Paedophile:

"Pedophile: also spelled PAEDOPHILIA, psychosexual disorder in which an adult's arousal and sexual gratification occur primarily through sexual contact with prepubescent children. The typical paedophile is unable to find satisfaction in an adult sexual relationship and may have low self-esteem, seeing sexual activity with a child as less threatening than that with an adult." Encyclopaedia Britannica, 1998.

"pe.do.phil.ia n [NL] (1906): sexual perversion in which children are the preferred sexual object -- pe.do.phil.i.ac or pe.do.phil.ic adj." Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary.

The diagnostic criteria for paedophilia according to American Psychiatric Association:

Over a period of at least 6 months, recurrent intense sexual urges and sexual arousing fantasies involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child or children.
The person has acted on these urges, or is markedly distressed by them.
The person is at least 16 years old and at least 5 years older than the child or children in A.

DSM-III-R Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, rev ed. 3, (American Psychiatric Association).

"In addition to their paedophilia, a significant number of paedophiles are concomitantly or have previously been involved in exhibitionism, voyeurism, or rape". (Voyeurism is the recurrent preoccupation with fantasised or acts that involve seeking out or observing people who are naked, or are engaged in grooming or in sexual activity).

Does the prophet fit the above criteria of a paedophile?

With the above criteria of a paedophile in mind, lets analyse the lifestyle of the prophet and his marriages.

Statistics from the above table:

Percentage of his wives who were 17 years and older = 91 %

Percentage of his wives who were widows = 75%

Comments: The statistics show that the prophet's marriage to Aisha at her young age was an exception and not a norm of his other marriages. Furthermore "a paedophile's main mode of sexual satisfaction is with prepubescent girls", which is contradictory to the 91% of prophet's marriage to women 17 years and over. An unbiased examination of Prophet's life and his marriages to his wives blatantly rejects the notion of his lifestyle fitting that of a paedophile. All his brides were aged widows (except Aisha and Marya).

Moreover, according to the criteria in the references cited above in Synopsis of Psychiatry, a vast majority of paedophiles possess a history of exhibitionism, voyeurism, or rape. Again, there is no single reference from either religious or secular sources that the noble Prophet ever indulged in such sadistic behaviour (God forbid). This truth is observed and accepted by both Muslims and unbiased non-Muslims scholars.

"It is impossible for anyone who studies the life and character of the great Prophet of Arabia, who knows how he taught and how he lived, to feel anything but reverence for that mighty Prophet, one of the great messengers of the Supreme. And although in what I put to you I shall say many things which may be familiar to many, yet I myself feel whenever I re-read them, a new way of admiration, a new sense of reverence for that mighty Arabian teacher."

B. Others claim that the noble Prophet (peace be upon him) indulged in child-abuse when he married Aisha at her young age

Let scrutinise this allegation...

Definition of Child Abuse:

Child Abuse, also called CRUELTY TO CHILDREN, the wilful and unjustifiable infliction of pain and suffering on children. The term can denote the use of inordinate physical violence; unjustifiable verbal abuse; the failure to furnish proper shelter, nourishment, medical treatment, or emotional support; incest; other cases of sexual molestation or rape; and the making of child pornography. Frequently described by the medical profession as the "battered-child syndrome," abusive treatment of children is almost universally proscribed by criminal statutes. Child abuse can have serious future consequences for the victims involved. Delays in physical growth, impaired language and cognitive abilities, and problems in personality development, learning, and behaviour are common following instances of child abuse or neglect. Encyclopaedia Britannica, 1998

Comments: None of the criteria of child-abuse applies to the noble life of the Prophet (pbuh). There is no single incident of any infliction of pain and suffering by the prophet on Aisha or any other human being for that matter. Neither any instance of verbal or sexual abuse can be concluded from the relationship of the prophet with Aisha (r.a.) or any of his wives.

An abused child can have serious future consequences...delayed physical growth, impaired language..learning and behaviour...etc (above definition). As one examines the chaste life of Aisha (r.a.), her personality, physical, mental and spiritual development are all contrary to that of an abused child. In fact through the Prophet's marriage and his guidance to Aisha, history testifies that she should be labelled not as an abused child but as a 'blessed child'.

After analysing and refuting the accusations against the noble character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the only viable alternative left with us is:

C. The Prophet married Aisha for the benefit of Islam and Humanity

Lets analyse...

1. The Prophet married Aisha primarily for three reasons:

a. To reinforce the friendly relations already existing with Abu Bakr (his closest companion).

b. To educate and train Aisha for the purposes of Islam.

c. To utilise her capabilities for the sake of Islam.

2. Her Marriage with the prophet was a Wahy (Divine Revelation). She, herself relates from the Prophet. "He said, 'I saw you in dreams three times. The angel brought you to me and you were clad in white silk. He (the angel) said that it was your consort and he (angel) showed me by opening your face. You are just like that..." Sahih Muslim, Vol.2, p. 285.

3. Aisha (r.a.) was born after her parents had embraced Islam. Therefore, she was free from the defilement of polytheism right from her birth.

4. In her youth, already known for her striking beauty and her formidable memory, she came under the loving care and attention of the Prophet himself. As his wife and close companion she acquired from him knowledge and insight such as no woman has ever acquired.

Aisha lived on almost fifty years after the passing away of the Prophet. She had been his wife for a decade. Much of this time was spent in learning and acquiring knowledge of the two most important sources of God's guidance, the Qur'an and the Sunnah of His Prophet. Aisha (r.a.) was one of the three wives (the other two being Hafsa (r.a.) and Umm Salama (r.a.) who memorised the Revelation. Like Hafsa (r.a.), she had her own script of the Qur'an written after the Prophet had died.

So far as the Hadith or sayings of the Prophet is concerned, Aisha (r.a.) is one of four persons (the others being Abu Hurayra, Abdullah ibn Umar, and Anas ibn Malik) who transmitted more than two thousand sayings. From her, 2210 Hadith have come, out of which 174 Hadith are commonly agreed upon by both Bukhari and Muslim.

Many of her transmissions pertain to some of the most intimate aspects of personal behaviour which only someone in Aisha's position could have learnt. What is most important is that her knowledge of Hadith was passed on in written form by at least three persons including her nephew Urwah who became one of the greatest scholars among the generation after the Companions.

It is the claim of the Scholars of Islam that without her, half of the Ilm-I-Hadith [knowledge, understanding of the Hadith (and Islam)] would have perished.

5. Many of the learned companions of the Prophet and their followers benefited from Aishah's knowledge. Abu Musa al-Ash'ari once said:

"If we companions of the Messenger of God had any difficulty on a matter, we asked Aisha about it."

"Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Said ibn al-Musayyab that Abu Musa al-Ash'ari came to Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said to her, "The disagreement of the companions in a matter which I hate to bring before you has distressed me." She said, "What is that? You did not ask your mother about it, so ask me." He said, "A man penetrates his wife, but becomes listless and does not ejaculate. "She said, "When the circumcised part passes the circumcised part ghusl is obligatory." Abu Musa added, "I shall never ask anyone about this after you.

"Al-Muwatta of Imam Malik, Hadith 2.75.

Arwa Bin Zubair says,

"I did not find anyone more proficient [than Aisha (r.a.)] in the knowledge of the Holy Qur'an, the Commandments of Halal (lawful) and Haram (prohibited), Ilmul-Ansab and Arabic poetry. That is why, even senior companions of the Prophet used to consult Aisha (r.a.) in resolving intricate issued".

Abu Musa al-Ash'ari says:

"Never had we (the companions) had any difficulty for the solution of which we approached Aisha and did not get some useful information from her".

Sirat-I-Aisha, on the authority of Trimidhi, p. 163.

6. As a teacher she had a clear and persuasive manner of speech and her power of oratory has been described in superlative terms by al-Ahnaf who said: "I have heard speeches of Abu Bakr and Umar, Uthman and Ali and the Khulafa up to this day, but I have not heard speech more persuasive and more beautiful from the mouth of any person than from the mouth of Aisha."

The Prophet said,

"The superiority of 'Aisha to other ladies is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. meat and bread dish) to other meals. Many men reached the level of perfection, but no woman reached such a level except Mary, the daughter of Imran and Asia, the wife of Pharaoh."

Musa Ibn Talha (r.a.) says,

"I did not see anyone more eloquent than Aisha (r.a.)"

7. Men and women came from far and wide to benefit from her knowledge.

Aisha's great interest in the study of the Qur'an is understandable. She was an eye-witness to a number of revelations and had therefore a clear idea of the circumstances in which they were revealed. It was on her bed alone (and no other consort's) that the Prophet received Wahy (Divine Revelations) several times. This helped her in interpreting the verses.

8. At the time of the Prophet's death, the Prophet's head was on her lap. It was in her quarters that the Prophet was buried.

The life of Aisha (R) is a proof that a woman can be far more learned than men and that she can be the teacher of scholars and experts. Her life is also a proof that a woman can exert influence over men and women and provide them with inspiration and leadership. Aisha (R) is a continuing inspiration and role model to today's youth who are diligently searching for an example amongst the pop stars, movie actresses and sports stars. May the memory of her's live forever in the heart of the Muslim Ummah and may Allah grant her the highest abode in Paradise...Ameen.

Conclusion

It was the aforementioned qualities of Aisha (r.a.) and the Prophet's guidance in moulding these capabilities for the service of Islam, were the main reasons, why the Prophet Married young Aisha (r.a.), and not the perverted reasons brought forth by misguided orientalists.

Muslims invite all sincere humans to study the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon) in the light of the authentic sources of the Qur'an and the Sunnah (exemplary sayings and deeds of the Prophet) and judge for themselves where the truth lies. Indeed, by recognising the truth of Islam as the final and complete Guidance sent by our Creator can humanity find lasting peace in this world and a means of salvation from the hell fire in the hereafter.

"I have studied him - the wonderful man and in my opinion far from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to be acceptable to the Europe of today."

The Hijri new year begins today, marking the beginning of a new Islamic calendar year.

Otherwise known as Ras as-Sanah al-Hijriyah, it has started on the evening of 24 October and will end on the evening of 25 October.

The first day of the year is observed on the first day of Muharram – the first month in the Islamiccalendar. The first Islamic year beginning in 622 AD marks the emigration of Muhammad from Mecca to Medina, known as the Hijrah.

As the Islamic lunar year is between 11 and 12 days shorter than the solar Gregorian year, theIslamic new year does not come on the same day of the Gregorian calendar every year. 2014 is actually the year 1436 AH.

The AH stands for the Latin “Anno Hegirae” or “After Hijrah” – hijrah meaning emigration.

While some Islamic organisations prefer to determine the new month and the new year by local sightings of the moon, the majority of countries, including Saudi Arabia, follow astronomicalcalculations to determine future dates of the Islamic calendar.

There are various different ways for calculating the tabular Islamic calendar, the Hijri calendar. Thisresults in a number of Islamic countries celebrating the new year on different days, normally a difference of one or two days.

The Umm al-Qura Calendar, used in Saudi Arabia, has been reformed several times. The current scheme was introduced in March 2002, the Islamic year 1423 AH. It is also followed by several neighbouring states on the Arabian Peninsula, such as Bahrain and Qatar.

According to the organisation King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), the rules for the Umm al-Qura calendar were modified so that the Islamic month starts from the sunset of the conjunction date at Makka on two conditions.

The first states the geocentric conjunction occurs before sunset on the 29th of the lunar month. Meanwhile, the second states the moon sets after the sun. Otherwise, the current lunar monthwould last 30 days.

The use of the Umm al-Qura calendar is often criticised by other Muslim communities who base their calendar on the actual sighting of the lunar crescent, known as hil?l.

In the month of fasting, Rama??n, and the month of the Hajj pilgrimage, the Umm al-Qura calendaroften causes confusion due to the differing dates observed by different Muslim communities.

A day in the Islamic calendar is defined as beginning at sunset. For an observation-based calendar, a sighting of the new moon at sunset of 6 December would mean that 1 Muharram lasted from the moment of sunset of 6 December to the moment of sunset of 7 December.

However, while in places where the New Moon was not sighted on 6 December, 1 Muharram would last from the moment of sunset of 7 December to the moment of sunset of 8 December.

AFTER DR ZAKIR NAIK’S FINAL LECTURE IN GAMBIA

Kololi (Gambia): A 54-year-old female pastor Wednesday evening converted to Islam less than 24 hours after Dr. Zakir Naik, a renowned Islamic scholar and expert in comparative religion, delivered his fourth and final lecture at the Kairaba Beach Hotel in Kololi, The Gambia.

Juliet Cole, now Haddijatou Cole, is a Gambian and had served for 14 years as a pastor. She made the pronouncement before a dozens of top Gambian clerics and Cabinet ministers during a dinner hosted in honour of Dr. Zakir Naik, according to a report published by The Daily Observer.

Speaking to the Observer on the sidelines of the event, Cole, who said she has a strong Muslim background, remarked: "I have been ordinary pastor for seven years and ordained pastor for another seven years with the Methodist Church.

"During Dr Zakir Naik's [final] lecture at the Kairaba Beach Hotel, conversion came to my mind and I was convinced to accept Islam. From today I am a Muslim".

Dr Zakir Naik later took to the podium to administer the protocols for conversion to Islam, before eventually pronouncing that the former pastor is now a Muslim.

Meanwhile, The Imam of State House Mosque in Banjul described Dr. Zakir Naik, as a man of peace, who in all his sermons preached peace, and portrayed Islam as a faith of peace.

He said the international orator, founder of the Peace TV and Islamic Research Foundation, had during his stay in the country enjoined the Muslim Ummah to be always peaceful and united for the religion.

Speaking to the Daily Observer Sunday in an interview, Fatty, who chairs the Da'wah Committee of the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council (GSIC), affirmed that Naik is a man of knowledge who believes in Holy Qur'an, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his Hadith.

The Gambia, often called simply Gambia, is a country in West Africa. It is surrounded by Senegal, apart from a short strip of Atlantic coastline at its western end. It is the smallest country on mainland Africa.

Islam is the predominant religion, practised by approximately ninety percent of the country's population. The majority of the Muslims in the Gambia adhere to Sunni laws. The Christian community represents about eight percent of the population.
