Tribute to a genius, crazy, eccentric and sarcastic doctor, Gregory House

2012-05-11T22:50:00.000+03:00

Hello ladies and gents,
Sorry for not posting these days but school is hectic these days... However I came here today to post a tribute to my favorite show of all times "House MD"... So here are some pictures, favorite quotes and facts that you may know or not. For those who are fans enjoy, for those who are not enjoy them as well.

“I teach you to lie, cheat, and steal, and as soon as my back's turned you wait in line?”

“Like I always say, there's no "I" in team. There's a "me" though, if you jumble it up.”

“So what's your plan? You take the big dark one, I'll take the little girl, and the Aussie will run like a scared wombat if things get tough.”

[Houses' patient has just collapsed] "This is exactly why I created nurses. Clean up on aisle three!”

"It's a basic truth of the human condition that everybody lies. The only variable is about what."

"You talk to God, you're religious; God talks to you, you're psychotic."

"Treating illness is why we became doctors. Treating patients is actually what makes most doctors miserable."

"Truth begins in lies"

"Humanity is overrated"

"Reality is almost always wrong"

"It's one of the great tragedies of life — something always changes."

"I was never that great at math, but next to nothing is higher than nothing, right?"

"There is not a thin line between love and hate. There is - in fact - a Great Wall of China with armed sentries posted every 20 feet between love and hate."

(to Foreman) "So your solution is to give me drugs?"

Dr. Gregory House: A patient comes because she's sleeping 16 hours a day, and it takes ten doctors and a coma to diagnose sleeping sickness.

Dr. Gregory House: You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

Cameron: His wife arranged it as an anniversary present. And if you ask me, if two people really trust each other, a threesome every seven years might actually help a marriage.
House: Okay, I say we stop the DDX and discuss that comment.

House: I'm going in. Rambo style.

Cameron: Could pain medication cause an orgasm?
House: I wish.

House: I was never that great a math, but next to nothing is higher than nothing, right?

House: If he gets better, I'm right, if he dies, you're right.

House: Sex could kill you. Do you know what the human body goes through when you have sex? Pupils dilate, arteries constrict, core temperature rises, heart races, blood pressure skyrockets, respiration becomes rapid and shallow, the brain fires bursts of electrical impulses from nowhere to nowhere and secretions spit out of every gland, and the muscles tense and spasm like you're lifting three times your body weight. It's violent, it's ugly, and it's messy, and if God hadn't made it unbelievably fun, the human race would have died out eons ago. Men are lucky they can only have one orgasm. You know women can have an hour long orgasm?

House [to black senator running for president]: They don't call it the White House because of the paint job.

House: I can be a jerk to people I haven't slept with. I am THAT good.

House: The Cripple Boys. We should start a band.

Cuddy: Dr. House! Need you here.
House: No thanks. Lotta sick people. I might catch something.

Team: We've got rectal bleeding.
House: What, all of you?

House: Is it still illegal to perform an autopsy on a living person?
Cuddy: Are you high?
House: If it's Tuesday, I'm wasted.
Cuddy: It's Wednesday.

Nun: Sister Augustine believes in things that aren't real.
House: I thought that was a job requirement for you people.

House: If you're here to kill me and rape me, please do it in that order.

House: Awesome. A sex fiend with a swollen tongue. Just think of all the places I can make Foreman search.

Wilson: House, you're right! Why not? Why not date you?? It’s brilliant; we’ve known each other for years, we've put up with all kinds of crap from each other, and we keep coming back. We’re a couple!

House: Are you still speaking metaphorically?

Cuddy: What are you doing here? A patient?
House: No, a hooker. Came to my office instead of my home.

Dr. Wilson: Of course you're type AB. Universal recipient. You take from everybody.
House: Course, you're Type O, Universal Donor. No wonder you're paying three alimonies.

House: When guys have brain-crotch problems it's usually the result of using one too much and the other too little.

And my favorite of all times:

Dr. Wilson: [Wilson is quoting a poem from a patient of House's]'The healer with his magic powers! / I could rub his gentle brow for hours. / His manly chest, his stubbled jaw, / Everything about him leaves me raw-'
Dr. Gregory House: Psych ward's upstairs.
Dr. Wilson: -with joy. Oh, House your very name / Will never leave this girl the same.' It's not bad for an 82-year-old. She asked me to give that to her true love.
Dr. Gregory House: What can I say? Chicks with no teeth turn me on.
Dr. Wilson: That's fairly disgusting.
Dr. Gregory House: That's ageism.
Dr. Wilson: You better watch yourself around this babe.

Did You Know?

Hugh Laurie's own father was a doctor, and he feels a twinge of guilt at "being paid more to become a fake version of my own father."

Dr. Gregory House was based on Sherlock Holmes... but Holmes, in turn, was based on a Doctor that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle knew while studying medicine, Dr. Joseph Bell, whose specialty was diagnosis.

During Hugh Laurie's audition, producer David Shore told how Bryan Singer, one of the executive producers, said, "See, this is what I want; an American guy." Singer was completely unaware of the fact that Hugh Laurie is British.

Three out of six original cast members are left-handed: Cuddy, Foreman and Wilson.

The aerial shots of the hospital are actually of the back of Frist Student Center at Princeton University.

Hugh Laurie admitted that when he first read the script for House (which did not have the title of "House M.D." at the time) he believed that the character of Wilson was the lead. He just couldn't believe that a man such as House could be the star of the show.

BLACK BLOOD

“Pilot”

Written by

Camilla Alice Black

Act One

EXT. CEMETERY PATH - LATE NIGHT

Long. Straight. Tombstones on each side, it is very dark and silent like death itself. Two girls on the path flashlight in hands searching for something.

Eve, 17, long black hair, innocent face, plain clothes, and killer blue eyes. Looks very scared has that what-the-hell-am-I-doing-here face. Aisha, 18, long blond hair, cheerleader outfit, black eyes. Has that I-am-going-to-find-it-even-if-it-kills-me look. Walking and searching tombstones names with flashlight.

Eve steps on a twig that breaks and makes a loud noise.

AISHA (whispers)

Could you be quiet!

EVE (whispers)

O so sorry, hope none of the dead hear me, and comes to kill us.

AISHA

Stop being such a scary cat. You know that the dead never rise from the grave. Stop reading fantasy and try to live outside of your books. You know where the real people live!

Eve (shooting)

Whose idea was it to come here at night and try to find a stupid angel statue? Why couldn’t we try to find it when it was day time?

Aisha points the flashlight at her sister making Eve cover her eyes. Aisha opens her mouth to answer Eve , behind Eve where Aisha flashlight is illuminating shows the shape of a dog. Growling is herd near the two girls.

Eve turns around and points the light in the direction the growling is coming from, and it reveals a big black dog with sharp teeth who looks like his ready to jump on the girls.

EVE

Aisha any plans?

AISHA

Just one and it involves running like hell.

The girls start running and the dog follows them, it barks loud and at one point it is about to bite one of the girls. Eve trips and falls, hurts her knee, blood gushing out of a deep wound.

EVANGELINE by Camilla Alice Black

Starry star in the sky
Bring my love to me tonight,
Give my prince to me
So my love could be complete.

Evangeline please send me love tonight
So my life will only be delight,
Send to me the guy that is right
And he will be my shining knight.

Evangeline you are the star of wishes
I know that I will get all of my kisses
You make every wish come true,
And my life will not be complete without you.

So now I bid you farewell
And don't forget that you are my wishing well,
I know that I will get my wish
To have my forever goodnight kiss!!!

Hy kittens,

Today as every other day I go to college by underground, and most of you know that journey is boring if you are alone (wich was my case)but today it was diffrent. At first I didn't know why, but later on I relised something was not right. Can you guys guess what happend?
Ok,ok I will tell, you don't have to be so pushy. The reason it was diffrent is the fact that I noticed I was been followed by my ex who as of lately has become a stalker, and not just any stalker but my stalker.....
The moment I relised that he was following me ,in my mind there was only one thing: "Leave me alone or I will call the police".The reasonable thing to do in such situation,is to try to remain calm and think positive, but how can I remain calm now when I know that he could.........Ok no I am just joking but I give guys a fright did I not? I am bad....... hehehe....

Hello ladies and gentlemen (excuse me if I am offending you),
I was just siting and wondering why on this planet exists people that you give all that you have and consider them a friend when they are far from... Is it normal that a person who tells you that you're a good friend and then the next thing you know, you are treated as s***. Personally I treat such animals with cold indifference afterwards. But as a wiseman once said "life's a b****". Still, I would like to know your opinions on the matter. What do you think these tipes of persons should be handled? Don't be shy and polite... This place is known to be an anger management meeting (at least that what I need anyway :)) )so let me hear your thoughts. I promise to ski... just joking, I mean read them :-p

Review:

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister Primrose, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before — and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

MOVIE 23.03.2012

Synopsis:

In a not-too-distant future, North America has collapsed, weakened by drought, fire, famine, and war to be replaced by Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal intimidation of the subjugated districts, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, literally, with all citizens required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss' young sister, Prim, is selected as the mining district's female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart Peeta, will be pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives.
