Anime (アニメ) is an abbreviation of the word "animation". Outside Japan, the term most popularly refers to animation originating in Japan. To the West, not all animation is considered anime; and anime is considered a subset of animation.
While some anime is hand drawn, computer assisted animation techniques have become quite common in recent years. Like any entertainment medium, the story lines represent most major genres of fiction. Anime is broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVD and VHS, and included in video game. Additionally, some are produced as full length motion pictures. Anime often draws influence from manga, light novels, and other cultures. Some anime storylines have been adapted into live action films and television series.

J-pop is an abbreviation of Japanese pop. It refers to Western-influenced Japanese popular music. The term is widely used to describe different musical genres of pop in Japan.
Japanese stores typically divide their music into four sections: J-pop, enka (a traditional form of ballad), classical, and English/International. Some songs, such as those by Miyuki Nakajima and Anzen Chitai, represent a fusion of enka with J-pop.

The Prince of Tennis (テニスの王子様 Tennis no Ōjisama) live-action movie is adapted from the The Prince of Tennis manga series. It condenses the storyline from when the audience is first introduced to Ryoma to the Hyotei arc. The film was directed by Yuichi Abe and was released in Japan on May 13, 2006.

Alterations from the Anime/Manga
The movie is a condensed version of the manga and anime series, thus a lot of the events that happen are condensed and characters were changed.

For instance, the character of Sumire Ryuzaki's age was changed so that instead of being a grandmother (and Nanjiroh's junior middle school coach), she became a year younger than Nanjiroh and became a former junior middle school student with him.
In the movie, the character of Wakashi Hiyoshi from the Hyotei school was replaced by Egate Mcleod Higaki, whereas in the manga/anime, there was no Egate Mcleod Higaki, he was created as an original character for the movie.
Similarly, Egate Mcleod Higaki's sister, Shioin Higaki, is also an original character that was not in the manga/anime series. Her purpose in the movie is to pretty much serve as the anime/manga character, Sakuno Ryuzaki.
In the movie, the Oishi/Kikumaru pair takes on the Oshitari/Mukahi pair, while originally it was the Momoshiro/Kikumaru pair who did so. Additionally, they lose and the Inui/Kaidoh pair win for Seigaku, while in the manga the opposite happened.
The entire prefectural tournament, along with the matches against St. Rudolph and Yamabuki, are skipped over.

Chronicle of a Death Foretold

Our finals in World Lit class is to find a novel of Garcia Marquez and report about the theme of the novel..we chose the novel Chronicle of a Death foretold. It tells, in the form of a pseudo-journalistic reconstruction, the story of the murder of Santiago Nasar by the two Vicario brothers.
The story is told from the perspective of a native of the town returning 27 years after the murder, and attempting to recreate what happened on that fateful day. The basis of the plot is that a newly married young woman, Angela Vicario, was found on her wedding night to not be a virgin. After getting beaten by her mother, she names her violator, Santiago Nasar. In order to repair the family's reputation, the two brothers Pablo and Pedro Vicario go to kill Santiago. The entire town eventually learns of their plan, but does nothing to stop it, or warn Santiago, who is brutally killed.
One of the unanswered questions in this book is who actually took Angela Vicario's virginity, for the narrator is unsure why she named Santiago Nasar, although it is suggested by gossip that she did to protect the man whom she loved.

GIMP advance editing

1. open picture to edit
2. click filters --->artistic--->caroon (to darken the black colors)
3. click filters -->FlareFx (to add sunlight, then place it in some parts of the swords)
4. click filters-->artistic-->softglow
5. copy the edited picture and paste the image to another gimp
6. crop a portion of the picture and rescale the image (i crop the picture on the eyes)
7. click filters-->colors--> value invert (to invert the color of the image): the second edited picture bacame my background
8. copy the first edited pictures to the second picture (the one with inverted color)
9. click again filters -->flareFX (to add again sunlight)
10. erase the background or the white portion of the first edited picture..
