The judge in the Casey Anthony trial recently gave an interview about his experience presiding over the most famous criminal trial since OJ. He talked about the two faces of Casey Anthony and expressed his shock over the lack of a conviction in the case. He was stunned when he read the verdict and actually had to re-read it because he couldn't believe it. He felt that although it was circumstantial, there was plenty of reasons to convict. The other thing he talked about was Casey herself. The sad victim that she portrayed when the jury was present was far different from the cursing, demanding woman she was when the jury left the room. Casey Anthony knew just what she was doing. There is no doubt in my mind that Casey was guilty of something that should have put her behind bars. There's got to be at least 100 reasons why I feel that way. Why didn't that jury see them? It seems to me that they looked for proof-positive of her guilt and overlooked or misunderstood exactly what "circumstantial" evidence is. People have been convicted with less. People who didn't murder their innocent toddler. Casey Anthony is living in a prison of sorts. She'll be 30 years old in a few years and what is her life like? She cannot go out in public freely. She doesn't have a job or any kind of career. Although she does have supporters out there (there are wack-jobs everywhere), she certainly will never ever have anything resembling normalcy. Is that punishment enough? Well...it is all the punishment she will receive in this lifetime. Maybe we can learn a lesson from the judge's story about what really went on behind the scenes. Being a juror has got to be a difficult thing to do but maybe people have to educate themselves better about our legal system and what constitutes guilt. Had the jurors on the Casey Anthony trial asked more questions perhaps the outcome would have been different. Maybe Caylee would have had justice.

Bankruptcy and the Kindness of Strangers

During the Casey Anthony trial there were a handful of people who stood outside the courtroom and held signs that offered support to Casey. Perhaps they believed her story that Caylee had drowned and they were able to explain away why Casey lied about it. The trial is long over, Casey Anthony is "free" but her life is far from easy or normal. Recently Casey declared bankruptcy, in part to clear her debt to Jose Baez the man who defended her. I guess he doesn't mind so much if she never pays his bill; he did get plenty of exposure and a book deal out of it. What puzzles me is how Casey manages to live. I mean, who is paying her way through life? Reports say that Casey relies on donations and the kindness of strangers. I get it. There are some people out there who possibly feel that they can "relate" to Casey Anthony. Their own history of abuse may make them vulnerable to a manipulator like Casey who claims that the abuse suffered at the hand of her father is part of the reason why she is such a troubled young woman. Casey isn't talking and even years after the trial there is no tell-all book. The bankruptcy trustee wants the rights to any book deals that Casey might have in the future in order to pay her debts. Does anyone really think that in time Caylee will be forgotten? This poor innocent child was the victim of a household that is incapable of telling the truth. Years later I am still sure that maybe Cindy Anthony did not know the truth when she found out Caylee was missing but she knows the truth now. This dirty family secret will go with them to their graves and maybe someday someone will claim to know the truth but like the mystery surrounding famous deaths, we will never know for sure. A court of her peers found Casey Anthony not guilty but only because the state rushed to charge her. Had they any real evidence Casey might be in jail. The media attention surrounding the disappearance and subsequent discovery of Caylee's remains demanded the State of Florida to take action. Unfortunately they dropped the ball. Does Casey deserve to have a life free of suspicion, hate and finger-pointing? The jury is out on that one. Will she ever be able to have a job or anything that resembles a "normal" life? Probably not. The image of the sweet little toddler whose life was taken too soon is one that many will not forget. She was our child, grandchild, neighbor. The dysfunction of who the Anthony's are was reality television that shocked us but we couldn't stop tuning in to the latest details in the sorry saga. Have the Anthony's gone on with their lives? Not much is said about them these days. Maybe we are beginning to heal and the anger is diminishing. Meanwhile Casey continues to live in the shadows relying on the kindness of strangers. Her life pretty much ended once she was set free. I guess there is judgment after all.

Casey Anthony Bankruptcy

Casey Anthony, who has been all but in seclusion since being found not guilty in her daughter's death, has now declared bankruptcy. This doesn't come as a huge surprise to any Casey watcher. Over the past year Casey has been hiding out somewhere in Florida as her probation wouldn't allow for her to leave the state. So what has Casey been doing since she was found not guilty of killing her daughter Caylee? According to some reports, Casey took classes online and received counselling for her multiple "issues". Now I know that a jury of her "peers" found her not guilty of wrongdoing in the death of her precious daughter but you'd be hard-pressed to find very many people who feel that Casey Anthony is innocent. What becomes of Casey Anthony now? It is hard to say. Declaring bankruptcy absolves her of debts she incurred but after bankruptcy she is going to have to earn a living somehow or find someone who is willing to support her. I doubt that her father George Anthony wants the job after she accused him of molesting her and taking part in hiding Caylee's death. Children (sadly) go missing every day in the United States but the story of Caylee Anthony was so much more than a missing child who was later found dead. The family dynamics of the Anthony family and Casey Anthony herself fed the cable news stations need to exploit. It caused many in the state of Florida to become outraged and demand the truth from the Anthony family. It was like a bad reality tv show but it was real and that is where the tragedy lies. Little Caylee Anthony died under mysterious circumstances and we will never know what really happened. Casey Anthony will live the rest of her life with the notoriety of this hanging over her head - some might say she deserves that - and her parents will forever be known as being torn between advocates for their granddaughter and trying to stand by their daughter whose lies make it hard to know when she tells the truth. In the aftermath of Caylee's death, new laws were signed that would make it a crime to not report a missing child within 24 hours. Part of what outraged so many is how Caylee was missing for a month before the authorities were contacted. In her defense, Jose Baez claimed that there was no need to report Caylee missing as she died the last day she was seen. Again, believing this version of what really happened to Caylee would mean you would have to believe Casey Anthony. In the years since this tragedy occurred, all anyone could hope for is that Casey gets the obvious mental health counselling that she needs because no one can stop her from becoming a mother again someday. It is too late to save Caylee but maybe the justice will be that the Anthony family's lives will never be free.

One Year Later

It's been one year since Casey Anthony was acquitted of murder charges in the death of her daughter Caylee. Jose Baez, Casey's attorney, is making the rounds of talk shows promoting his book which tells the story behind the trial of the most hated woman in America. According to Baez, although he agrees that Casey suffers from a mental illness he believes her story of how Caylee's death was due to an accidental drowning. He says there is evidence that was not talked about during the trial that confirms Casey's "story". You will have to read the book to hear his revelations but again he brings up how Cindy Anthony came home from work the last day Caylee was seen and remarked how the pool ladder was left up. This is just one of his pieces of "evidence" that Casey's story was true. According to Baez we are supposed to believe that Casey was a victim of sexual abuse by the hands of her father George. Well...I believe that the Anthony family are dysfunctional, disturbed and not your average American family (whatever that is by the way) BUT I also believe that no matter what you do as a parent you can wind up with an ungrateful, disturbed child such as in the case of Casey Anthony. Cindy Anthony is an over-bearing woman with issues of her own, no doubt. George Anthony is a man full of secrets. The family unit as a whole is strange but was there abuse going on behind closed doors? Maybe. Did this abuse cause Casey to be so intimidated by what her mother would say about her beloved granddaughter's accidental drowning that she would panic and cover it up? I mean to a rational mind how long could you make up stories about why Caylee wasn't around? It had to end sometime. It is believable to me that in a sick and twisted mind you could fear someone so greatly that you would choose to do the wrong thing. The fact remains that according to Casey's story, her father George helped to cover up the death. That makes no sense to me. Casey wanting to hide the truth is believable but George??? The man is former police after all. It makes no sense. Will I be reading Jose Baez' book? You betcha! I will not pay money for it though. I will borrow it from my local library. I think it will be a fascinating read. I haven't read a good fiction story in a long time. What do you think??

Redemption

According to media reports, Casey Anthony is planning to be baptized. Where and when has not been leaked. But the insider did share Casey’s theological views. Casey “wants to ensure her own salvation so that she’ll see her daughter again someday,” the source said. Hmmm. If Caylee drowned as Casey alleges, why wouldn't Casey see her again? If Casey is trying to win public support by her latest leak to the media, she is sorely misguided (again). The emotions over Caylee's disappearance and death ran deep and are not easily let go of. People world-wide were outraged when Casey was not convicted of killing her daughter and many were further outraged by Casey's allegations against her father. Although news has died down about where Casey is hiding out, I don't think that it will be safe for her any time soon (if ever). Casey Anthony may not have been convicted in the court but she was convicted in the court of public opinion. It is doubtful that the average person can forgive and forget about Caylee and how she was discarded like trash. Even though it was not proven, most think Casey knows what happened. The one surprising thing is that media outlets were smart enough to NOT offer large sums of money to Casey and that is refreshing. Casey does not deserve to make money off of her child's death. I imagine that although she has someone (or several someones) supporting her, she will never lead a "normal" life. How could she? Perhaps this is her punishment. I believe in karma and it is not yet caught up with Casey Anthony. She can get baptized but it won't save her from what she has done.

Roy Kronk Files Suit Against Casey

Roy Kronk, the meter reader who found the remains of Caylee Anthony, is now suing Casey Anthony. He alleges that her attorneys tried to place the blame on him for Caylee's death when they knew Caylee had drowned. Although this may seem like yet another person who is filing a suit against Casey Anthony for no good reason, he actually does have a point. Casey's attorneys did call Mr. Kronk names, judging his character and trying to distract from Casey by raising doubt in the minds of the jury. Roy Kronk was not on trial. Casey Anthony was. Will Roy Kronk ever see a dime from Casey Anthony should he win this suit? Probably not. It is the principle of it. If, as Casey's lawyers allege, Caylee Anthony actually drowned in the backyard pool, why did they allow their client to sit in jail for all that time until she went to trial? We are supposed to believe that Casey was so damaged by her father's abuse of her that she was unable to tell the truth. Well if her attorney(s) KNEW the truth, shouldn't they have spoken up? The State of Florida (and others) spent countless man hours and money looking for a child that Jose Baez and Casey Anthony KNEW was dead. There should be some kind of punishment for that outside of these numerous lawsuits. I guess it will have to be left up to karma. Karma is a bitch afterall. It will catch up to all those deserving of its wrath.

Reactions to the Dr. Phil Interview

Dr. Phil teased that anyone with an opinion of the Anthony's would change their minds after seeing his interview with them.

As someone who does not watch Dr. Phil, I made a point of tuning into the two days of interviews with George and Cindy Anthony and frankly, I am disappointed. The second day's interview ended on a bit of a cliffhanger with no announcement of when the rest of the "revelations" will air. (maybe next time Dr.Phil needs ratings?)

Cindy Anthony is delusional. There is no doubt in my mind that this woman is the queen of enabling behavior. I really resent when people boast that they prayed to God about something and interpret what happens as a sign from God.

According to Cindy Anthony, Casey's acquittal was God's way of saying that Caylee's death was an accident and therefore she deserved to be free.

I do not see it that way.

The reason that Casey Anthony is "free" is because the state of Florida could not prove how Caylee died. There is no concrete proof of much because all that was left of Caylee's body was skeletal remains. Anyone who has any knowledge of forensics knows that finding cause of death from bones is tough. Because you do not find anything does not mean it didn't happen.

This is the way Cindy Anthony lives her life. The writing is on the wall but she chooses how she interprets it. Denial at its finest.

Cindy Anthony is a weak woman who hides behind her faith. She will not "judge" Casey, God will. Well you know something? If she was my daughter I would judge her. I would have never ever let her get away with her behavior. I would have been wise to her lies instead of denying them.

George Anthony attempted suicide because he felt that he failed his family. Yes George, you did fail your family.

Trained as a cop, your weakness allowed you to deny that your daughter was disturbed. You sat by and allowed her to steal from you for years. You put up with her lies and you watched your wife justify Casey's lies and you continue to.

This is a sick, twisted kind of love.

Caylee is in a better place. She is now safe from this family who cannot see that there were problems in their home for a long,long time. Deep down they must know how disturbed they all truly are but they cannot be accountable for themselves.

According to Dr.Phil, no money was paid to the Anthony's for the 9 hours of interviews he did. Money will be donated to the charity fund the Anthony's are setting up in Caylee's name.

Some argue that the Anthonys are still ultimately profiting from the death of their granddaughter. I see it more as they are proving the public right by their "revelations".

They are a freak show and they should look no further for answers to Casey's behavior than their own reflections.

Dr.Phil Interviews George and Cindy Anthony-Part 2

Day two of Dr. Phil's interview and I am angry. Yes, Dr. Phil, I also want to shake Cindy Anthony.

This woman can twist things around to make everything excusable. Unbelievable.

According to Cindy, she "prayed for 3 years for God to give her answers" and when the jury acquitted her daughter, it was God's answer to her that her daughter was innocent.

(SCREAMS!!!)

I am sorry but that was not God speaking. That was a jury who unfortunately were presented a case that was not strong enough to prove guilt.

Hello Cindy Anthony??? Just because she wasn't found guilty does not mean that she is innocent.

Another "revelation" by Cindy Anthony was that toxicology reports didn't prove that Caylee had been drugged.

(SCREAMING AGAIN)

All that was left of Caylee Marie Anthony was SKELETAL remains. Even the few hairs left on her skull were not enough to test for drugs. The medical examiner said that the likelihood of getting a positive toxicology report from the hairs was SLIM. You need FLESH to get toxicology testing that is reliable.

Dr. Phil did call Cindy on her justifications of Casey's behavior. This is a woman whose rose-colored glasses are permanently fixed on her face.

Maybe Cindy just cannot handle the truth so for her, she convinces herself of the lies. Where did Casey learn to lie? Maybe from mommy Cindy.

George Anthony is much more in reality. I admit that I was a bit surprised by that. Yes, of course I did not expect him to defend his daughter after she accused him of molestation. A part of me still expected him to say that it could have been an accident.

The only thing that both George and Cindy agree upon is that they do not think that Casey acted alone. If that is true, the person who helped her is surely going to talk one day. How did this person remain anonymous?

My next question is who will be filing for divorce because certainly this couple is not going to stay together. It is obvious (although she didn't say it) that Cindy would welcome her daughter home.

Cindy Anthony admits to being in therapy and from this interview it is obvious that she has a LONG way to go before she gets her mind straight.

I am a mom also but unlike Cindy Anthony I am strong enough to handle the truth, no matter how horrible it may be.

No, none of my daughters are like Casey Anthony. I have an honest relationship with them and this could never happen in my family.

There was trouble in this family long before Casey got pregnant out of wedlock. Cindy Anthony may like to tell herself that Casey has a hormonal imbalance and works overtime to justify Casey's lies and actions.

Cindy Anthony is delusional. Plain and simple. I am not judging her but from watching this interview I saw a woman who is unable to accept reality.

Perhaps her daughter's inability to own up to her own actions is inherited. Maybe Jose Baez was not so far off when he talked about how Casey learned to lie. Cindy has an inability to see the writing on the wall.

She feels that Caylee got justice. How sad. There was no justice for Caylee.

Dr. Phil Interviews George & CIndy Anthony- Part 1

Okay America. I gave up General Hospital today (well...not really, I can catch it later on SoapNet) in order to watch the season opener of Dr.Phil.

The much-talked about anticipated interview with Casey Anthony's parents was his subject for today's show.

I have to admit that so far I still feel the same way that I did about the Anthonys. Tomorrow the interview concludes but from today's show I have to admit that George appears to be much more in reality than Cindy does.

It took a lot of courage for them to appear on television after the spectacle that has been made of their lives. They are undoubtedly two parents who lived their lives with blinders on.

Cindy Anthony is an enabler and makes excuses for her husband's past gambling and still believes that there is a "reason" why Casey did whatever it is that she did.

I want to shake Cindy Anthony and just say "lady, your daughter is disturbed and there is NO excuse for her behavior".

Cindy brought up the idea that Casey's "involvement" in whatever it was that happened to Caylee was due to either post-partum schizophrenia (?) or grand mal seizures. Never mind the fact that she had been to a doctor about these mysterious seizures and nothing was found; Cindy still feels that perhaps she has a brain tumor or some other hormonal condition that caused her uncharacteristic behavior.

Oh, poor Cindy Anthony. She needs to face the fact that her daughter is just not a very good person.

She still insists that her daughter was a great mom.

I guess she wasn't paying attention in court when a former boyfriend spoke about how he and Casey slept in the same bed with Caylee. Yes, that is what good moms do.

George seems angry and he has every right. Casey accused him not only of molesting her but coming up with the idea to make Caylee's accidental drowning appear like a missing child and helping to dispose of the body.

Looking back they both seem dumbfounded that there may have been signs that something was wrong and yet they missed it. These are two people who seem to have trouble facing reality.

Talk about walking around with rose-colored glasses on. Even when they did not see Caylee for several days when they were used to seeing her daily they took no action.

So far part one of this interview only reinforced Cindy Anthony's denial of reality. It is sad that after everything that has happened she still is making excuses for her daughter.

George seems to have his own theory of what happened although he has not shared that yet. George can see Casey for the liar that she is.

One has to wonder about both of these parents/grandparents. George, the former police detective, really was clueless. Cindy, a trained nurse, also clueless and grasping at straws to find a "reason" for why her daughter behaved the way she did.

Just because a jury could not convict Casey does not mean that she is innocent. Her behavior and actions after Caylee went missing are not those of a "sane" person or an innocent one.

Overall I am disappointed in Dr. Phil because although he called Cindy about her denial and looking for excuses for people's behaviors (he called it "balancing") he really should have been tougher on these two. Their "revelations" are not that surprising.

I will finish up tomorrow when I see the second part of this interview. Dr. Phil promises that we will change our minds about how we feel about the Anthony's. It is going to have to be really good for me to change my mind. So far, there are no big surprises revealed to me.

Casey's New Life

Okay. Here I am in NJ, with the threat of a hurricane coming this weekend and I am desperate to distract myself.

It seems that Casey Anthony is probably very happy about the recent earthquake in Virginia that was felt along much of the East coast and now Hurricane Irene, which is threatening North Carolina to New England.

All this talk about national disasters helps to get some of the attention off of her.

Well, maybe not.

Casey Anthony met with a probation officer last evening in a secret location and the details have not been released out of the continued fear for her safety.

As announced by the probation department, Casey does not have to get a job and according to her attorney, she will be taking classes online. So for the next year, Casey will report to her probation officer and take classes online presumably to prepare her for a "job" in the future.

Personally I do not know how long it will take for the public, especially in Florida, to "forget" Casey Anthony. I don't know how long it will take for the hatred and disgust towards this woman to die down.

I guess we should all be happy that no media outlet has paid her to tell "her" side of the story.

Okay, I have managed to distract myself from worries about flooding, wind damage and power outages.

In September, George and Cindy Anthony will be on Dr.Phil to talk about "things they have never discussed before". Hmmmmm. Interesting but I still feel that even though some see these parents/grandparents as victims of Casey, the jury is still out for me.

I do wish them peace but there is an awful lot of soul-searching they will have to do before they reach that point. What do you think?

Casey's Back in Florida

According to Jose Baez, Casey Anthony's attorney, she has returned to the Orlando area in order to begin court-appointed probation.

Jose Baez, who appeared on Geraldo Rivera's cable show, says that she is in a safe place with spiritual advisors.

I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that these spiritual advisors are NOT her parents but associated with Jose Baez.

The surprising thing is that Casey has stayed hidden since being acquitted back in July and there has not yet been any kind of proof that she has made any deals. According to her attorney Casey just wants to "get on with her life" but is finding that it is not that easy.

The atmosphere in Florida is still one of anger towards Casey who many see as having gotten away with murder.

This week will be an eventful one for Casey and we will see how easily she is able to move forward with her life, serving a year's probation for check fraud charges.

Will she be able to find a job? My guess is yes. I am sure that thanks to Jose Baez, he will find someone to hire her.

I get that she was acquitted but in my mind (and many others) she hardly deserves to be cut a break at this point in time. The girl is guilty of lying about what really happened to her daughter and if parents are not going to protect their children we as a society need to.

Because Casey had something to do with her daughter's death and lied about it and STILL has not apologized for that, she deserves no "breaks".

There are many unemployed, deserving people in this country who are desperate for a break. Why are they less deserving than a proven liar?

Yesterday the infamous Pontiac Sunfire driven by Casey Anthony that contained the smell of death according to many was scrapped in an Orlando-area junkyard.

I wondered what would become of the car. I mean, who was really going to drive it after it was, according to the prosecution, where Caylee's remains were before they were dumped in an empty lot near her home.

Could you imagine the controversy over selling that car? Scrapping it was the best way to help put the past in the past.

Caylee's birthday came and went without Casey making her whereabouts known but now, Judge Belvin Perry has given her until August 26th to return to Orlando to begin a year of probation.

This should be interesting.

Terms of probation include holding a job (who is going to hire her?), not doing illegal drugs (okay) and not overindulging in alcohol.

The talk is that Casey has a 6 figure book deal and with public outrage still quite strong, I find it hard to believe that anyone would purchase a book written (or ghost-written) by Casey Anthony.

What story does Casey Anthony have to tell and with her own lawyer admitting that she is a liar, who would buy her book of fiction?

There are plenty of struggling fiction authors out there who are far more deserving of getting book sales.

Acquittal aside, Casey Anthony knows what happened to her daughter and she kept quiet while the world worried, looked for and mourned her child. Maybe the state of Florida could not find proof enough to convict her of a crime but the facts remain that Casey Anthony is far from innocent.

Caylee's Birthday

Today would have been Caylee Marie Anthony's 6th birthday.

The hoopla over Casey Anthony's acquittal is starting to die down but I don't believe that most people who felt passionately about this case will ever forget.

Today must be a hard day for Caylee's grandparents who frantically searched for her when she went missing before her 3rd birthday. They are working on a foundation in Caylee's name that would help missing children and also protect the rights of grandparents.

In the state of Florida (and other states) grandparents have very little rights to their grandchildren. When a couple divorces, unless the grandparents have a relationship with the parent who has custody, many times they lose their grandchild to their child's divorce.

There are many more reasons why the Anthonys are going to focus on grandparents rights. Rumor is that Cindy Anthony wanted custody of Caylee because she had felt that her daughter was unfit. Maybe she was right and had the laws been different, Caylee might still be alive.

We cannot go back, only move forward. Perhaps the grandparents of Caylee can do something positive for others in Caylee's name.

Judge Orders Casey Back to Florida

The judge who ruled over Casey Anthony's check fraud case has ordered her back to Florida to serve a year's probation.

The problem is that Casey's attorneys have filed a motion disputing this probation saying that according to documents, she has already served this probation while she was behind bars awaiting trial for the murder of her daughter Caylee.

Judge Strickland, who presided over the check fraud case and later removed himself from the murder trial, had done an interview on the local NBC station that shows his bias towards Casey Anthony. He seemed to feel that Casey would have been found guilty of the murder charge and since she was not, he appears to now be trying to "change" his order regarding the probation.

This blogger is hardly a Casey Anthony fan but it sure looks like this time, Jose Baez has a point. This judge appears to have a bias towards Casey who, although many do not like it, was found not guilty in a court of law. We need to respect the jurors decision although our guts may tell us differently.

How can a judge turn around and try to punish Casey after the fact when it appears that the only reason he is trying to order her back to Orlando is because she was acquitted of murder?

The next few days will show whether justice is biased or not.

I continue to believe that Casey Anthony will never be free. She knows the truth about Caylee and she will have to live under a cloud of suspicion. That is hardly being free.

Orlando Get Ready

A judge has ordered that Casey Anthony return to Orlando to serve probation time for her check fraud conviction.

Of course, Jose Baez is fighting this. Once again, he expects for Casey to get special treatment.

The truth is that there appears to be some miscommunication between the prison system and the court system. When I had first heard that Casey had done her probation while she was behind bars I was confused. Isn't probation supposed to help you to adjust to the real world?

So we will see if Casey does reappear in the Orlando area on Thursday as ordered. She would have to stay in the area, work a job and report to a probation officer.

No more private planes and whatever else she has been up to since being released from jail after she was acquitted of murder charges.

I highly doubt that all this time she has been in a mental health facility although with this case- NOTHING would surprise me.

According to Nancy Grace, Casey Anthony is lying low in the Prescott, Arizona area while her "people" shop for deals for her.

Meanwhile, all her parents have heard from her is a simple text message from Jose Baez saying that "she's safe".

That's nice. Cindy Anthony perjures herself on the stand (read about possible charges here ) her defense team accuses her father and brother of molesting her (read "Dirty Secrets or Lies" ) and they do not even get a phone call?

she did stand by her daughter even when she found out that Casey was spinning more tales about what really happened to Caylee.

Maybe Casey's defense team is figuring that if they allow just enough time to pass the public will forget about what a liar Casey is and we will believe her story when she finally gets paid enough to tell it. Reconciling with her family would kind of destroy the whole "my dad abused me so that's why I lie" defense.

In the meantime, private jets and accommodations cost money. I guess someone is footing the bill until Casey can get paid from profiting off the death of Caylee Anthony.

In recent polls, people feel strongly about not supporting anything that would put money in Casey's pocket but many people also admit that they would watch her tell her story in an interview.

Casey Anthony Released From Jail But She is Not Free

An update to this morning's post, Casey Anthony, accompanied by her defense attorney Jose Baez, left the Orange County jail shortly after midnight.

The SUV they got into headed downtown towards Jose's office.

It was later reported that Casey (in different clothing and her hair down in a ponytail) was seen running across to a waiting private plane at a nearby small airport.

Destination unknown but one thing is for sure, CASEY ANTHONY WILL NEVER BE FREE!

With $530 and change in her pocket, no job, education or deal (yet) to make money off of her acquittal and Caylee's demise, her future is unknown.

There are plenty who say that she was found innocent and everyone needs to "let this go". I say NO. Never forget the innocent toddler whose body was dumped in the woods like trash.

Always remember Caylee and even if the state could not prove that Casey murdered Caylee, Casey knows the truth about what happened to Caylee.

Boycott any organization that pays Casey or the Anthony family money for their story. Those responsible for this child's death should not profit from it.

This is why the story needs to stay fresh in our minds.

Let us not forget that someone in that family dumped that child in the woods.

Casey Set Free

A few minutes after midnight, Casey Anthony left the Orange County Jail with her attorney Jose Baez. She got into a dark-colored SUV and sped off to points unknown.

More than 1,000 protesters stood outside the jail holding signs but once the crowd became aware that she had been released and left the property they dispersed and it was over.

Casey showed no emotion and reports were that she was afraid to leave the safety of the jail. Glad to hear that a bit of reality has sunken in to this narcissistic woman.

No one seems to have any idea where Casey was headed and I am sure that in the next few days there will be plenty of speculation. It was already reported that a small plane took off about 1 a.m. headed for Ohio (where Casey was born) but it actually held some golfers not Casey as many thought.

Hiding Casey will not be easy. Although she has spent the last 3 years in solitary confinement in prison, being out in the real world and not being able to be free as she probably would want is some sort of justice.

This story is not going to die down anytime soon because of the lawsuits filed against her. She left jail with approximately $500 that was mostly donations for her to buy snacks and personal items while behind bars. Five hundred dollars is not going to go far. No job, no home, no money (yet).

I cannot imagine Casey Anthony sitting in the local welfare office applying for aid, can you?

Casey Due to Be Sprung in Hours

Casey Anthony will be sprung from the Orange County Jail where she has spent the last several years. The big question still is where will she go and what will she do?

Speculation (to me, this case is just full of speculation) is that she will be whisked off in a private plane to parts unknown.

Not bad for a high-school drop-out with no job or money. This is probably courtesy of her defense team as she is their cash cow.

Not that I feel sorry for Casey but they are going to monitor what she does and pick the best choice (highest bidder) for her story.

Hugh Hefner showed that he is not senile and stated that there is no offer for a Casey Anthony Playboy spread. He says his magazine does not reward people "like her".

The Jerry Springer show rejected the idea of an interview with Casey and the man who was bargaining with Jose Baez (remember the million $ offer?) has now started his own production company and is shopping a Casey interview around to the networks.

Although we might watch a Casey Anthony interview, there is no way most of us would pay money to do so or purchase anything that Casey would profit from.

So like a thief in the night (or in this case a murderer) Casey Anthony, with 3 journalists who were given special permission to be present inside the jail, will get her long-sought freedom. Sometime after the clock strikes 12 tonight, Casey Anthony will go on to her "new" life.
Something tells me that her new life will pretty much be uglier than her past life but we will see.

Why? Casey Anthony should be thankful that she got away with Caylee's death and just walk her sorry ass out of jail on Sunday and lay low.

Is this a totally narcissistic move on her part?

I mean, c'mon. There is no Zanny the nanny.

Everything she told the police was a lie!

The state proved it. How do you appeal a conviction that was proven???

Casey Goes "Free" This Weekend

While channel-surfing last night I saw that Nancy Grace is still obsessed with Casey Anthony.

She has been playing the jailhouse videos taken before Caylee's body was discovered in December 2008.

Watching these visits Casey had with her parents and brother is rather disturbing especially since the trial is over and we now know (according to her defense) that she admits Zanny the nanny and others are fictional people.

Her parents, her mother specifically, may not have been model parents but the way Casey kept them hanging on to false hope is disgusting. I cannot imagine why Cindy Anthony would welcome her back into the family home. The only thing I can think of is that she wants to wring her neck in private.

There is absolutely no excuse for her 31 days of partying or for the months of lying to her family and investigators who were searching in vain for Caylee.

All the while Casey knew Caylee was dead.

Sunday Casey is scheduled to be released from the Orange County jail. Although jury members are slowly beginning to speak out and admit that they had no choice but to acquit because there was not evidence to convict; they do not believe she is innocent.

Interestingly enough, Joy Behar interviewed one of Casey's defense team and asked her point blank "would you let Casey babysit your child?". The attorney, Dorothy Clay Sims, evaded the question and to me, that says it all.

Could Casey Be Innocent?

The media is guilty of twisting the truth as many of us have noticed with different "news" reports.

Although the focus from day one of the media reporting Caylee Anthony's disappearance was the fact that her mother Casey did not report her daughter missing, what proof is there that she did anything but not call the police and lie?

Yes, her lying to police who were only trying to help her find her daughter is a huge sign that something was just not right, it is not a proof of guilt.

As the case is reviewed from the first day that the media reported the Florida toddler missing, we all know that by the time it hit the news, Caylee was already dead.

Mistakes were made all around. The police originally focused on the idea that they were searching for a missing child, which was not a mistake as far as they knew. They were doomed to failure because they were dealing with a family that has an inability to tell the truth.

It is easy for all of us to assume that they all knew more than they are telling.

I am a mom, I was a teenage mom, I would have crumbled and been unable to function had my toddler been missing or died accidentally. Any mom would feel the same way unless she was hiding the truth.

I think that many of us who cannot grasp the idea of how deeply dysfunctional this family is just naturally has fallen prey to the speculative suggestions of certain media reports.

I am certainly not saying that Casey Anthony is innocent in covering up her daughter's death. I firmly believe that she was capable of killing Caylee out of spite towards her hatred of her mother Cindy's controlling and abusiveness towards her.

I don't know if it could have been an accident or if she just tried to quiet the child so she could go out and accidentally killed her herself.

The fact is that she knows SOMETHING.

The jury was disgusted when Jose Baez used the "sexual abuse" card to explain Casey's behavior. There are many people who are victims of sexual abuse and they do not kill their children!

The state of Florida rushed to charge Casey. They should have sat back and waited for her to led them to the truth.

As sick as it may seem to the majority of us who do not know the depths of a twisted and demented family like the Anthony's obviously are, anything could have happened and no one will never know the truth.

It is an outrage to us all because there is a little girl who is dead and no matter what, she did not deserve to be dumped like trash to be nibbled on by animals. The evidence says that someone in the Anthony home did this and this family sticks together and enables whomever to get away with it.

No Perjury Charges for Cindy Anthony

No perjury charges for Cindy Anthony is the latest news in the never-ending Casey Anthony saga. Maybe the state of Florida just wants this all to go away but seriously, we all know that Cindy Anthony lied on the stand to help protect Casey.

Why should anyone feel sorry for Cindy Anthony? Why does she get a free pass for perjury?

The lack of justice for Caylee continues.

The jury is beginning to talk and although much of it does make sense (why they could not convict) an awful lot of it is just ridiculous.

This whole mess is like a bad summertime reality television show that you cannot help but watch.

The Anthony family is a train wreck. Although I feel that when Cindy was forced to listen to her 911 call tapes while on the witness stand her grief and pain were real, I do not think that she remained "innocent" of what really happened to Caylee. I believe that someone in that family knew what happened and she had a clue about what it was.

Did George really molest Casey? Who knows.

The problem is that the first cop who was called to the scene screwed up by not checking it out.

You cannot go back. It is what it is.

One thing that I know for sure- this family will not live out the rest of their miserable lives in peace and quiet. I am sure that they all have trouble looking themselves in the mirror without feeling some kind of guilt.

There may not be justice in a court of law but this entire family has to live with who they are and what secrets they hold. That is punishment enough.

Jury Foreman Speaks

The jury foreman in the Casey Anthony trial says that acquitting Casey Anthony of murder does not mean she is innocent. Once again, what most of the public refuses to see is that according to the law, they could not convict Casey based upon the evidence shown.

Even to convict of manslaughter they would have needed much more than they got. As I listened to the judge's instructions to the jury and really dissected what the instructions said, my husband and I both said "how on earth can they convict her?".

Emotions aside, our justice system is "innocent until proven guilty". Although in this case it feels like Casey Anthony got away with murder and there is no justice for little Caylee, would you want to live in a country where you can be accused, tried and convicted without concrete proof?
