C-1 “Rolling Smartphone” Electric Vehicle

Lit Motors is based out of San Francisco, and is headed up by industrial/automotive designer Daniel Kim. Kim and his team have developed a sleek vehicle called Lit C-1 – a small, single-seat electric urban vehicle. The C-1 uses electronically-controlled gyroscopes to remain upright even in the case of an accident. This gyroscopically stabilized electric urban vehicle combines the efficiency and small size of a motorcycle with the safety and durability of a car. It can be charged up in six hours, has a top speed of 120mph, and the battery provides enough autonomy for 150 to 220 miles. It will be available in 2014 and will sell for $12,000 to $16,000.

The Wrenchmonkees team stripped the bike down, removed the rear frame, built a custom exhaust system and new fenders. They fitted a new seat unit to complement the curvier looks of the bike and painted it in a timeless metallic brown.

Ferrari officially unveiled the custom SP12 EC for British musician Eric Clapton. Designed by the Centro Stile Ferrari in collaboration with Pininfarina and the engineers from Maranello, the custom SP12 EC pays tribute to one of Clapton’s favorite Ferraris; the 1970s 512BB.

“The world-famous guitar player has been attached to one particular Ferrari model: the 512 BB, of which he has owned three over the years. So his desire was to drive a car inspired by this model, with influences from the multi-award winning 458 Italia.”

The estimated price of the vehicle is around £3,000,000 GBP (approximately $4,700,000 USD), not that its for sale of course
