MESSAGE TOPIC: STRATEGIES FOR THE NEW YEAR.

TEXT 1: Isaiah 1:19-20
“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it]”.
Text 2: Isaiah 43:1-3
“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine. When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I [am] the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt [for] thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.”
Text 3: Luke 14:28-30
“For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have [sufficient] to finish [it]? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish [it], all that behold [it] begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.”
Text 4: Matthew 11:28-29
“Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
Text 5 : Ecclesiastes 10:10
“If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom [is] profitable to direct.”

We need to do two things in the month of December....
(1) Showing appreciation to God for all he has done for us throughout the year.
(2) Secondly we use the month to build our confidence for the New Year.
Note that what you believe always comes to pass. Every New Year is supposed to be better than the previous, only if you believe.
Note that there is good in every land. Isaiah 1:19 says”
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land"

There is no reason to obey if there is no instruction.
Every year comes with its own blessings and challenges.
You need to understand how to tap into the blessings and how to get over the challenges and be victorious. When you study God and understand God very well , you will understand that God has program for every year.

Also note that God does not give evil things, it’s only the devil that gives evil things. So let us not attribute evil prophesies from evil men of god to God’s plan, our Gods wish for us is that of good and not evil.

It is not the state of your nation or the economy of the nation that will make people suffer in the coming year, it’s the ignorance of people. What you know will surely see you through the New Year only if you put it into action. To make it in the New Year, you don’t have to hope in miracles, you need to put strategies in place that will make you successful and prosperous.

Note that where there are no strategies, there will be tragedies. So to avoid tragedies, you must put strategies in place for 2017.

What is a strategy?
A careful plan to achieve a given goal, usually over a given time. It is a method put in place in advance to achieve given objectives.It is also a method to achieve something ...usually a goal.

Note that God can change the story of your life within few seconds. Don’t use the mentality of "your God is a slow God into the new year"

Note that you don’t need to talk of government policies more than God's policies.

Forget about what the economy is saying, think and believe in the policies of God in 2017.

During the time of challenges, some develop crutches, while others develop wings to fly. As everyone is talking about recession now, it is not a time to brood. Take up wings and fly because our God is a God of possibilities.

What are the strategies we need for the new year:
1. Never substitute proper planning with prayers.
You cannot substitute planning with prayers...it cannot work!
Most of our prayers are wrongly placed. We pray for things to change rather than praying prayers that will change us. What you need when you pray is a prayer that will change who you are and now what is wrong with you.

2. Be informed....you need the right information to be successful. You cannot keep a knowledgeable man in bondage for too long. This is because what he knows will see him through all obstacles.
Note that if you are not informed, you will end up being deformed! So you need information in order not to be deformed.
How much you know determines how far you will go in life. Any one above you in life, knows something that you don’t know.

Information opens new doors. To be ahead in life you need to be informed. Once information becomes obsolete, there will never be any transformation. S you need to always keep being informed.
For 2017 to be better than your 2016, you must be better informed.

3. Go for trainings.
To reign in life, you must be trained. Before any promotion is given to any one in life, you must have been trained. Until you know more, you are not entitled to be more. More does not come by praying, but by learning. So get training, get learning and grow.
When you are not trained, you will be drained. If training is not done, one is totally drained.

4. Evaluate the outgoing year.
History repeats itself always when people fail to evaluate their previous actions. Every one that wants to grow in the coming year must evaluate the outgoing year. Mistakes made this year, must not be repeated in the coming year. Note that the reason you are still alive is to have another opportunity to try and make it right.

5. Mind what you hear!

God does not judge us by what we hear, but he judges us with what we do with what we hear!

You are at liberty to hear anything, but you have the power to determine what to do with what you hear. In the New Year make sure that negative people are far from you and your family.

Make sure you are not surrounded with negative people. If you don’t use your mind, no one will ever mind you.

6. Make necessary adjustments

When things are wrong, until you agree that you caused it, or part of the people that caused it, you cannot come out of it. You need to make lots of adjustments in life. There are some weights you must shade off in 2017 to move forward. You need to break some relationships, you need to cut some expenses, and you need to plan your finances better
You need to avoid some people in 2017; you need to avoid some places.

7. Know when to use your knees and not your head.

If your value of kneeling in god in prayer increases, your value of standing before men of honour will increase. Know the time to use your knee, also know the time to use your brain. If you use your brain when you need to use your knee, you will not get result.

8. Work in divine instruction and obedience.

At every time in your life, god is willing to tell you what to do to get out of it and be victorious.

When God is your instructor, your outcome and results in life are predictable. Even pharaoh who is an unbeliever knew he needed to understand the meaning of the dream he had. You need to obey divine instruction.

9. Depend on your mind than your eyes.

The fear of failure, of what people will say, fear of will it work? The fear of what the world feel about it, has destroyed many. Every Christian must have the ability to train his /her mind to hear and understand when god speaks. For you to enjoy 2017 train your mind to know when it is god who is speaking to you. Once again every year comes with its own goodness and challenges. It is what you know, understand and put to practice that will see you through in 2017.

PRAYERS:
•Oh God I thank you for making me a living soul in the name of Jesus.
•My remaining blessings in this year, locate me by fire in the name of Jesus.
•What the enemies could not waste in my life from the beginning of this year, they shall not succeed in the remaining days of this year in the name of Jesus.
•Powers forcing me to turn my stones to bread die in the name of Jesus.
•My father if I have turned my stone to bread, help me to turn it back to stone in the name of Jesus.
•My father what is inside me that will deliver me from poverty that I cannot see, father wake it up by fire in the name of Jesus.
•Wisdom to reign as a king in the New Year my life is available, enter in the name of Jesus.
•Oh God arise and show me the way forward in the New Year in the name of Jesus.
•My father the power for obedience even when it is not convenient and does not make sense, I need it in the name of Jesus.
•Powers to finish well , my life is available , enter in the name of Jesus
•End of the year disaster my life and family is not your candidate, scatter in the name of Jesus.
•End of the year blessings , I am available , locate me in the name of Jesus.
•The wisdom to defeat all that has been defeating me, my life is available; enter in the name of Jesus.
•Powers to do better than I have ever done in my life enter in the name of Jesus.

UNDERSTANDING MARRIAGE

Text: Proverbs 14:1, Hebrews 13:4, Proverbs 24:3

Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
Hebrews 13:4
Marriage [is] honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers god will judge.
Proverbs 24:3
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established.
The bible says marriage is honourable, that means in marriage both parties are supposed to give each party honour. To many marriage means different things and that is why many enter marriage with wrong motives.
The importance of marriage can never be over emphasised. The failure of the home will always lead to the failure of the society. That is why it is very important that Christians take the issue of marriage very seriously.

Today’s parents are in deep mess and trouble because of the calibre of children raised today!
Many see marriage as a means to get love. Some see it as an avenue to be shown love. That is a wrong motive. Anything one starts in life with the wrong motive is bound to fail, it is a matter of time.

To some marriage means an opportunity to exercise authority, power, and dominion and be in control. This is the case of many men today. They turn their wives to punching bags or slaves in their home and their children who are coming up will follow suit.
To some others marriage is an escape route from pressures, may be pressures from parents, peers, friends etc. Some will not wait to hear from God or get married at the appointed time. Rather because they want to run away from pressures from people, they run into marriage as an escape route.

Note that marriages are not supposed to be built on expectations, but about responsibilities and the will of God.
Many are into marriage today to collect. They just have made up their mind to collect this, that and the other thing and once they are not seeing these things, the marriage will crash. That also is a wrong motive for marriage.

Selfishness and self-centeredness have destroyed many marriages today. Many believe they should be treated like kings but they are not ready to treat the woman as a queen. Note that a queen complements a king in his kingdom. A king cannot live in a palace without a queen!!
Many marriages are sick today because we want attention from our spouses, but we are not ready to give attention to them. Selfishness and self-centeredness was what destroyed the first marriage of Adam and eve. And it is killing many marriages today.

Many marriages are failing today due to wrong impression through fake packaging. Women are packaging and men are packaging.....wrong identity, fake life! A man is deceived with what he can see from the face value, and when he sees the real thing, he finds out he is deceived. Same also applies to men, men borrow and package to deceived women into marriages. Because such marriages a built on lies and deceit, it’s a matter of time before it crashes.
Another thing that as destroyed many marriages is what is called Marriage Illiteracy. That is lack of knowledge of what marriage is. Marriage is not what you think, but what God has ordained to be.

One of the problems of marriage that no man can correct is that marriage is the only school you get certificate even before you go for lectures.
God did not give us marriage for our sake, but for his kingdom. And that is why your marriage may decide if you make heaven at least or not. May God bless his word.

Prayers:
1. Every satanic agenda for my marriage scatter by fire in the name of Jesus.
2. Any power on evil assignment concerning my marriage, die in the name of Jesus.
3. Evil arrows in my marriage go back to sender in the name of Jesus.
4. My father by your mercy my marriage will not disappoint you in the name of Jesus.

"WINNING YOUR BATTLES"

Text: Deuteronomy 20:1-4

“When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, [and] a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; For the LORD your God [is] he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”

Life is a battle, believe it or not, life is a battle.
Anyone that must make a head way in life, the person must be ready to fight.
"If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything and everything".
"If you don’t know where you are going, the place you are will look like the place you ought to be"
No matter how tough the battle is, a child of God is not supposed to lose any battle , because Jesus has fought over 90% of the battle.Those looking for battle free zones in life, end up being disappointed.

Note these about battles:
1. God will initiate some battles for you. He will sponsor that battle. Such battles will not mar you, but make you.
Nobody will be wise and smart in life without going through life experiences. You cannot win any battle without being trained for that battle.

2. There are battles God will fight for you without your knowledge. he will deal with your enemies, even without your knowledge.

3. There are battles God will fight with your knowledge. After deliverance or prayer sessions, you see result.

4. There are some battles your parents must fight for you. If these battles are not fought by your parents, then you are already disadvantaged.

5. There are battles you must fight yourself, but with the backings and weapons of God.

6. There are battles you must not fight; you must walk away from such battles!

As a Christian you should be able to know the battles you will fight and the ones you are not even supposed to get involved.
We have an arc enemy that is wicked, evil, unrepentant, very aggressive, intolerant, uncompromising, never tired and unrelenting. so we should sit up.
The enemy fights dirty and can use any weapon or means to ensure he does not lose the battle. The devil is ready to break every available laws and rules to ensure he does not get defeated. The enemy likes victory.
God does not only give patterns for building, he gives pattern for everything. No gentle man has ever been able to recover anything from the enemy. So you have to fight!

To win your battles you must know these:

1. You must know the battle ground. The battle ground is in the mind. That is where all battles start from.

Every battle in life is won or lost in the mind. Every battle is always fought spiritually before it manifests physically.

Every battle lost in the mind is already lost in the physical.

Mind pollution is total destiny pollution. Madness starts from the mind and not from the brain.

2. Know the strength and weakness of your opponent.

When you pray a particular prayer or do a spiritual exercise, and the battle gets stronger, know that it is time to face the battle.

Every Goliath has an unprotected forehead and every Saul has a careless Armour bearer.

When you approach the strength of the enemy, you will have problem, but if you fight the weakness of the enemy, you become victorious.

3. Know your weapons. Understand your weapons. You must understand how to use your weapons to fight.
4. Know how to use your weapon. One thing is having a weapon, another is knowing how to use it and when to use it.

What is the use of a loaded gun to a man holding it who does not know how to use it?

5. You don’t exert same tactics and strategies for all enemies. You need to understand the best strategy to fight any kind of enemy.

6. Organise yourself and your strategies for the battles if you must win the battle.

The devil that we are fighting and his cohorts are very organised so you must not be disorganized to fight an organised enemy!

Some people are disorganized that it has become part of their lives.

7. Act and don’t re-act!

Most Christians re-act to the detects and actions of the enemy. You dont have to wait for the enemy to strike before you react.
Attack is the best form of defense, so act, and don’t wait to re-act.
To re-act means that the enemy has thrown the first arrow against you. Be an actor and not a reactor.

8. Be a hearer and a seer!

If you are in right standing with God, He will always speak to you and when He speaks, you will hear. Reason why many don’t hear from God is because we don’t obey general instructions given by God.

9. Always obey the commander in chief...God

10. Be a worshiper..

11. Don’t win the war and lose the battle.

•Calabash power die in the mighty name of Jesus
•Let the weapons of the calabash power catch fire in the name of Jesus.
•Every wickedness of the wicked of the calabash against me catch fire in the name of Jesus
•Night calabash against my destiny catch fire in the name of Jesus
•Morning calabash against my life catch fire in the name of Jesus.
•Whosoever that is consulting calabash power against my destiny, wherever you are catch fire in the name of Jesus.
•Every good thing that the calabash has captured in my life, be released by fire in the name of Jesus
•Battles from my father’s house messing me up every day , scatter in the name of Jesus.
•Every evil covenant entered in by my ancestors tormenting my life, expire now in the name of Jesus.
•Wicked remnants in my foundation catch fire in the name of Jesus.
•The battle that has vowed not to go until I die, you are a liar, die in the name of Jesus.
•Every power saying I will never know peace from January to December, you are a liar, die in the name of Jesus.
•Witch craft activities assigned to bury my money backfire in the name of Jesus.
•Powers boasting that when they hold me down nothing will happen , die in the name of Jesus
•My father, where my plenty in the midst of scarcity is, open my eyes to see it in the name of Jesus.
•When I should be active, powers that want me to be disorganised, catch fire in the name of Jesus.
•Whosoever that is taking my name to dangerous places, where ever you are, catch fire in the name of Jesus.
•My father, where ever the enemies have buried me or any good thing about my life, bring us out by fire in the name of Jesus.

OH LORD EMPOWER ME TO PROSPER:

Genesis 26: 12-13 "Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the... man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great"
Lasting Prosperity comes from God alone. From the above passage we saw that even at the time of famine as can be seen if you start reading from verse 1 , Isaac prospered.
To prosper means to succeed and excel in every area of life. To prosper means to be rich and to be wealthy in every area of life.
Psalm 1:1-3 says "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." There are some basic facts to pick it from this passage that lead to divine prosperity: To prosper , you must not walk in the counsel of the ungodly. You must not stand in the way of sinners. Your delight must be in the word of God.
That is to say that , the man that obeys the word of God and works in his counsel shall surely prosper. There is no magic about it, divine prosperity which is lasting prosperity that adds no sorrow comes on by abiding by God's will.
One will need the touch of God personally , there is need to have divine encounter with God for a lasting prosperity. If you don't have this encounter, when prosperity comes, it will fade away with time. But the one from God endures for ever.
Also for prosperity to come, You need to sow . The way to the top is from down. Ecclesiastes 11:4 says " He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap." you must sow to reap. The same Ecclesiastes 11:6 says"In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good. That means prosperity cannot come without sowing. You must sow to prosper.
Because Isaac sowed even in the time of famine the bible says he reaped a hundred fold. Isaac sowed and he reaped the harvest himself. If you sow wisely , you will live to reap the fruit of your labour. Many sowed wrongly and never lived to reap it.
Isaiah 62:8-9 says" The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness."
Isaiah 65-21- 23 also says "And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them."
If we sow aright, we will not only reap bountifully, but we shall live to enjoy the fruit of our labour. That is the word of God.
Deuteronomy 28:8 says "The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."
As Christians , we are already keyed into divine prosperity, all we need to do is to follow the will of God and we shall surely prosper.
In summary, to prosper, we must do the following:
*****Sow lavishly
*****Obey the word of God
*****Work hard ,don't be lazy
*****Pray for divine watering and increase
*****Be faithful in your tithe
*****Be a generous giver
*****Conserve seed to sow and reinvest always : don't eat your seedling.
May God bless his word and give us the grace to bide by His word in order to prosper. Amen. Have a blessed week ahead.

DEFEATING ANTI-MIRACLE POWERS:

There are powers that do not want your miracles to manifest. These are called anti- miracle powers. No matter how hard you strug...gle , I f you don't fight against these anti- miracle powers, one tends to achieve little or nothing.
These are powers that work against people's miracles, hinder the full manifestation of Peoples miracles. They delay miracles and divert people's miracles. These powers remove people from where they will receive miracles.
Like in Mark 10:46-52. Here people wanted to rob Bartimaeus from receiving his miracle , but he stood his ground. They wanted to stop him from seeing Jesus because they knew he will receive his miracle if he met Jesus.
Anti miracle powers can also work against people through diverse opinions from friends , relations and colleagues.
Anti- miracle powers can emanate from people's cultures and beliefs. In some places , they will not allow another daughter to marry when the first has not married. That is an evil culture. Evil powers of fathers houses and mothers houses also act as anti miracle powers. In some places you cannot start a project and complete it because of anti -miracle powers. These powers also manifest in the form of household enemies who have vowed that over their dead bodies shall any one prosper or receive miracle in their community. But the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead shall set us all free from these anti- miracle powers in Jesus name. When you recieve your miracle ensure you keep following the miracle giver ( Jesus) like Bartimaeus did.
In the book of 2 Kings 5: 1-14, Naaman needed a miracle to be made whole of his leprosy, but anti miracle power (pride) nearly made him lose his miracle when he started comparing the rivers in his place with river Jordan where his miracle was waiting for him. Pride is a very big anti miracle power and has denied many of their miracles till date. Note also that Naaman came back to bless the man of God when he got his miracle. Don't abandon the miracle giver anytime you receive your miracle. Many stop attending church services the moment they receive their miracles. Some Christians only remember to attend services when they have a need for miracle. Once that is done, you beg them to go to church subsequently. Showing appreciation is necessary as it sustains miracles as we see in Philippians 4:15-19 "Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." The phillipians were blessed for showing appreciation and their miracles were sustained.
If you desire miracle do not depend on your own strength , believe in the master(Jesus) . In Luke 5:1-11, Peter had a profit less effort all night until he met the miracle giver.When Jesus asked Peter to drop his net, anti miracle powers wanted to stop him by reminding him that he did same all night with no result. But when he refused to listen to anti miracle voices , he caught many fishes. Here also when Peter received his miracle , he followed Jesus and became a fisher of men. Obedience to the voice and word of God guarantees victory over anti miracle powers.
Summarily ,What do you do to defeat anti miracle powers in your life and have a sustainable miracle ?
1. You must work in spirit and avoid works of flesh
2. Pray fire prayers against anti miracle powers always
3. Be genuinely born again and not just a church goer.
4. Pass through deliverance from time to time to destroy the effects of anti - miracle forces on your life and destiny.
5. Have faith and trust in Jesus the miracle giver.
6. Be a giver because givers never lack
May God bless his word and give us the grace to defeat every anti- miracle power already working in our lives and destinies in Jesus name.

COCKROACHES IN THE CHURCH OF GOD.

Text: Mathew 13: 47-48
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kin...d: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away."
Just like the text above, today we have all kinds of people in the church of God in the name of Christians. The good ,the bad and evil ones. All lizards are on the floor, we may not easily know which one has stomach upset.
Cockroaches have filled the church of God pretending to be redeemed children of God who are serving Him in truth and in spirit. Why do we call these such Christians cockroaches? It is simply because they exhibit similar characteristics with cockroaches.
Characteristics of Cockroaches;
1. They have world wide distribution due to accidental transport. The cockroach Christians are very large in number. Most Christians fall into the category of Paul we know , Jesus we know , who are you ?
2. Cockroaches are ancient group of insects. They stick to their ancient life styles and refuse to change like Moab in the bible. Change is a necessity in life for progress. You need to change your old ways to move forward. You cannot be doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result. That is madness.
3. Cockroaches point their heads downwards always . Cockroach Christians never look up to heaven. They always look downward to the world and depending on the world.
4. Cockroaches run from the light because they love darkness. Cockroach Christians prefer darkness than light. They hide from prophets and men of God because they don't want their secrets to be revealed. Many of them abound in our churches today.
5. Cockroaches are always nocturnal beings. They prefer operating in the night. It will be surprising to you to hear that there witches filled in our churches today. Living holier than thou lifestyle I the day and operating as witches at night.
6. Cockroaches can run very rapidly and difficult to catch. These are intelligent sinners in the church. They are clever sinners. You can't catch them fornicating , drinking or committing other sins. When you hear their sins you marvel. They are everywhere in our churches today. They are cockroach sinners.
7. Cockroaches hide in very narrow spaces or holes. These kinds of Christians are permanent back sitters. They are always hiding from the face of the pastor or preacher. They hide behind pillars during service.
8. Cockroaches are attracted to uncleanliness and food left overs. Such Christians gravitate to sinful natures and are seen in unholy places. Living in total immorality.
9. Cockroaches are difficult to eradicate . These set of Christians are hardened sinners. It is very difficult to change their lifestyles or convert them to God.
10. Cockroaches adapt to any environment easily. These type of Christians adapt to anything. They sing well, pray well, dance church songs and worldly songs as well. They blow cold and hot at the same time. If you see them outside the church you will never believe they are the once you see in churches. They are ready to do anything without considering what God says about it.
11. Cockroaches have small heads. These type of Christians don't think well. They are foolish and rarely meditate on things of God. They don't have vision and are shortsighted.
12. Cockroaches are spoilers. Such Christians spoil the church of God. Bring adulterated Messages and doctrines into the house of God.
13. Cockroaches emit bad odor. Such Christians create offensive odor before God and man because of their characters.
14. Cockroaches can spread disease. These type of Christians are the ones spreading evil films and worldly musics in the church. You will see a Christian telling you to dance worldly music or get involved in fornication and ask God for forgiveness. They are everywhere in the church of God today.
15. Cockroaches eat virtually everything . These type of Christians listen to all kinds of messages. Junk messages , sugar messages that will never make you a very good Christian. They swallow vain messages , demotivating and de-anointing messages. Pampering messages, raping messages, entertainment messages , seductive messages , hell magnetizing messages , vagabond messages etc. They don't care ,all you hear is ride on pastor , shoot.
16. Cockroaches are stubborn. Such Christians find it hard to repent and live a good Christian life. No matter the types of messages they have heard , it is hard to change them.
The tragedy of cockroach Christians : these are tragedies awaiting cockroach. Christians if they don't repent and come back to the lord:
1. Sudden destruction
2. They will be surrounded by destiny thieves.
3. They will not have divine blessings from God
4. They become spiritual drop outs
5. They operate under closed heaven.
6. They attract divine curse to themselves
7. Finally they become candidates of hell fire

But there is hope and a way out. What is the way out?
Genuinely and totally surrender your life to Christ in truth and in spirit. It is not how long you have lived on earth , but what impact you have made to lives and people around you while you lived. May God bless His word and touch out hearts to change today from cockroach Christians in Jesus name. Amen.

There is no height a man reaches that he cannot come down when attacked by anti Harvest powers. That is why we need to deal with these anti harvest forces.

1. Evil powers that hinder or delay the harvest of people
2. Wasters of people labors
3. Devourers of people's labors- caterpillars and cankerworms(419 people etc)
4. Spoilers that reap where they did not sow. Strangers eating people's efforts.
5. Emptiers of good things in people's lives
6. Opportunity destroyers

******Why do anti harvest forces operate:
1. To impoverish their victims - agents of poverty
2. To demote their victims- they are agents of demotion
3. They are agents of affliction - they come to afflict their victims
4. They want to destroy and amputate the success of people
******Who are Victims of anti harvest forces?
1. People under a curse : curse from enemies , family members, spouse , colleagues , etc
2. Those who are under a spell : witchcraft powers , evil forces known or unknown to them.
3. Those who have covenant of slavery or poverty upon them
4. Those who are rebellious to God and authorities. Rebellion closes good doors while humility opens good doors .

TEXT 2: Genesis 6:5-7 “5.And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them”.

God made man in his own image and man was supposed to display the image of God. But this is not what is happening today. This generation is a generation that has forsaken their parents. Instead of blessing their parents, they curse their parents. Prov. 30:11. It is our responsibility to take care of our parents and the elderly in our midst. It is a law, for you to prosper and live long, you must honour your parents. We have a generation of people who exhibit outward holiness, but internally they are evil (hypocrites).
We have a generation of braggarts (do you know who I am?) even in the church of God; we have people who believe they are more religious than others. Those who believe they are even more than God. There are a lot of them today, even in the church, their teeth is sharper than sword. They are ready to destroy with their mouth.
God does not want you to use your wisdom, wealth or privileges to oppress others. Rather He empowered you to help others. There are people today who honour God only in the church of God, but outside is a different thing (a perverse generation). A generation that perverse justice. You see right as wrong and wrong as right.
We have an indisciplined generation. A generation that has no respect for rules and regulations. We are a rebellious generation. One that does not honour God. Our body is here but our mind is somewhere else. That is what we see in the church today.
We have a faithless generation today in the church. Those who have lost confidence and trust in God. After service, they still visit native doctors. We need to repent; we need to ask God to forgive us because we don’t believe in him.
We have a generation of vipers, unfriendly friends. One that can kill his father, mother or relations for money (Mathew 23:33). In the church today, we see believers who appear calm and holy outwardly, but inside they are like vipers.
The next generation is an evil and adulterous generation. Generation who honour Satan other than God. Those who are in church just for what they can gain. Our prayer today in the church is no more a prayer to make heaven. Rather prayers of prosperity to acquire the whole world. Half of the church these days dont think about life after death. That is a generation we are in today. We need to repent.
A wicked generation. One that does not forgive. As believers, we are expected to forgive one another no matter what wrong is done to us. What a wicked, indisciplined, murderous, adulterous, hypocritical and rebellious generation.
We need to repent otherwise; the judgment of God is at hand. May God help the church. Amen.

THE LIVING DEAD CHRISTIAN

“ Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?”

Just as we have physical deaths, we have spiritual deaths. There are people by heaven standard, they are dead but living. Something is dead when: the thing is stagnant, when it is irrelevant, has no vitality or spirit and is no more sensitive. On the other hand a Christian is one who exhibits proper spirit of Christ and lives according to the teachings of Christ. In the book of Mathew 22:32 our lord Jesus made us to understand that God is God of the living.
A man that is spiritually dead is a time bomb waiting to explode. In our churches today we have living dead Christians. Living dead Christians include: traditionalists in the house of God, “politicians” in the house of God, adulterers and fornicators who hide in God’s house. Any one that his conscience is hardened, no matter the message he hears it can never change his life, the word of God does not move him is a living dead Christian. Others are those who don’t have feelings for fellow brethren in the church. Those who oppress others and those who work to bring others down.

There are yet those who are thieves and robbers in the house of God (cheaters (419).All gossips in the house of God (backbiters) and those who are rebellious in God’s house are also among the living dead. Any Christian who commits sin and takes pleasure in doing so is a living dead. Those Christians who are worldly and take pleasure in the things of the world are among the living dead Christians as well. Other Christians in this category are those who live their lives as if there is no end time.
Those who have not sat down to check their spiritual state at any time. Pride shows that one is a living dead. Note that every proud Christian does not have a place in the kingdom of God. Eccl:. 9:4 shows that there is hope for the dead who is ready to come back to life. The living dead can come back to life if he wishes.
What can you do to turn from a living dead Christian to a living Christian?
• Genuine repentance
• surrender your life totally to God
• cry out to god to change your heart
• live your life to god’s standard

HOLY STUBBORNNESS

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
God is not a man that he should lie. If you sin and ask for forgiveness, he will forgive you and welcome you back. He always listens to the pleas and petitions of his elect. Who are the elect of God? 1. The children of God. 2. Those who have totally surrendered to him 3. Those who have identified with him. Most of us come to God and knock, when there is no answer, we never bothered to come back and knock again. Whatever your need may be, ask God and exhibit holy stubbornness, God will surely answer. Many of us faint at the battle field. As children of God, we should be fervent and strong at battle. If we are not persistent and fervent and fail to display holy stubbornness, we may not receive answer. One thing that is sure about God is that it does not matter how long you have been asking. He must surely answer; all he requires from you is persistence. But remember, there are some prayers God will not answer because he loves you. Holy stubbornness starts when we put our prayers to action. When you pray you must believe because it’s faith that puts our prayer to action (taking a step of faith). No matter how stubborn you are in prayer, if you don’t have faith, you cannot receive from God. Only believe, all things are possible, only believe. There are many things in life that we do not understand. When they happen we worry and ask a lot of why? When things like this happen, the question many ask is “Is God asleep?” and the answer of course is no. God can never sleep. Lesson to be learnt from today’s message: when you pray and things are not happening, instead of asking all kinds of questions, ask yourself if you have prayed enough? BECOMING AN EAGLE CHRISTIAN

Advanced learners dictionary defines an eagle as “Large strong bird of prey with keen sight”. Until one becomes an eagle Christian, his strength and power as a Christian will be limited. Eagle stands for greatness, liberty, authority, power, victory and above all strength. No wonder the bible says in the book of Job chapter 39: 27-29 “Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high? She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place. From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off”. Considering the qualities of an Eagle, the bible also in the book of Isaiah 40: 28-31, says “Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Why should we as Christians strive to become like eagle? What are the qualities of the eagle that makes God say that those who want to wait upon him shall mount up with wings like eagle? Let us see the qualities that make eagle great:

1. Eagle is swift (Deut. 28:49): Eagle is quick, speedy, and fast in its actions. The eagle has a sense of urgency and promptness. As Christians, we are expected to act in like manner. Indecision and procrastination has stagnated and frustrated the lives of many Christians today. The truth is that there is no place on top or in the front for any Christian that is not prompt or swift in issues of life. Time wasting destroys destinies as delay is always dangerous.

2. The Eagle has Vision: (Job 39:29) this is why the eagle can see clearly ahead. It can see clearly at 10,000 feet above sea level and 100km away from its position. As Christians, we must have and live by vision; otherwise you cannot have distinction in the things of life. As a Christian if what you live for is just what to eat, drink, wear, drive etc you cannot be an eagle Christian. An eagle Christian should have the vision of eternity (Life after death) and Gods plan for his life here on earth. What you don’t know rule and control your life. Therefore if you must live beyond the moment, you must be able to see beyond the moment.

3. The Eagle aims high: (Obadiah 1:4) the eagle aims high and that’s why it always makes its nests where hands cannot reach easily. Your thoughts will rule your life. Your dreams and imaginations will directly decide your destination in life. If you must be an eagle Christian, then you must aim high in life and aspire to be great.

4. Eagles dwell on the rock: Rock signifies foundation. And the foundation of anything determines how strong and solid the structure will be. 1^st Corinthians 10:4 says “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock

that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. “

As Christians, our marriages, finances, business, careers, homes etc are supposed to be built on the Rock (Christ). Note that anything that is not built on Christ the rock, it’s just a matter of time, and it will crash. For you to fulfill your destiny, you must build your life on the solid Rock.

5. The eagle is a very sensitive bird: Before the eagle flies, it must monitor the direction of the wind. That’s why when the wind is strong, you see the eagle soar with its wings spread and reserve the energy it would have used to fly. The wind is a sign of the Holy Spirit. As a Christian, are you sensitive with the things of the spirit? Spiritual sensitivity and alertness is very crucial to your authority and power as a Christian. If you rely on the direction of the Holy Spirit, you can never make mistakes in the things of life.

6. The eagle is a trainer and also invests in the lives of other birds: You must invest in the lives of others if you must be an Eagle Christian. For God to invest in your own life, you must have to invest in the lives of others. Materially, spiritually and otherwise, strive to invest in the lives of others. How many people have you preached to since you became a Christian? How many people can tell others that they have gained this or that from you?

7. Eagles never flock: Take note of the eagle, it does not flock together like other birds do. The most you can see is two of them at a time. To arrive to your destination, you must refuse to be a victim of band wagon. Refuse to follow the ways of the wrong majority. Be an eagle Christian and not a vulture Christian. Even if everyone forsakes you, decide to move with Jesus. Note also that eagles are not found everywhere. Anything you find everywhere does not have value. Don’t lose your value as a child of God because of effects of the wrong majority.

8. Eagles never feed on corruption: Take notice of this, eagles never feed on decay. Vultures and other birds do, but eagle always stands out. If you must end your life with distinction as a Christian, you must avoid corruption. Corruption includes sin in its entirety: lie, bribery, fornication, adultery, malice etc.

PRAYER:

· Oh lord my father, give me the power to become an eagle Christian from today IJN.

· Anything around me preventing me from becoming an eagle Christian, your end has come, die in the name of Jesus.

· The swiftness of the eagle, the vision of the eagle and the sensitivity of the eagle, come upon my life IJN.

FOUR (4) PRINCIPLES OF POSESSING YOUR POSSESSIONS:

God has given us all we need to enjoy life here on earth and the opportunity to have everlasting life thereafter. Every good thing of life is by nature our possessions. When God created the world, he looked at all he created and found out that they are good he gave man charge over it to maintain and enjoy the fruits and goodness of the earth. The Book of 2nd Peter chapter 1: 3 says “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”. Many today believe in men and not God for their daily bread. No man has the power to help you if God has not put it in his mind to do so. No wonder the bible also said in the book of 1st Corinthians chapter 3:21 “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours”. Yes all things are yours as divinely ordained by God. All things in this scripture include, divine health, prosperity, wisdom, wealth, children, good husband/wife, profitable employment etc.
Many are still struggling today even in the house of God, meanwhile when our lord Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross of Calvary, he said, it is finished. It means all our struggles are over, our hardships are over, our days of torment and cry is over. Many can’t still possess their possessions because they are wishing, waiting, crying or begging for it.
To possess your divinely ordained possessions, you must observe the right principles. Knowing these principles is not enough; you must apply it if you must possess what rightly belongs to you. Possessing your possessions is your right and not a privilege, hello, did you hear me? Remember, one does not struggle to fail in life but you must struggle to be successful in life. That means you must work it out.
What are the principles of possessing your possessions?

1. Think Big: A man can only rise according to his thought. The bible says out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. Everything you have possessed in life is a manifestation of your inward thoughts. Your life can only magnetize your thoughts. Go ahead, think Big.

2. Have Faith in God: Thinking big is one thing, having faith that your thoughts will come to fulfillment is another. Faith is believing that your thoughts will come to pass even when you have no slightest inclination to how and when it will happen. Faith sees the invisible and receives the impossible. Believe.

3. Love God: If you must possess your possession, you must love He who is willing and able to make you have them. If you love God, you must keep his commandments and live according to his word. You must live a holy life as well. God can only grant your heart desires when you are obedient to his commandments. If you don’t love God you will not serve him with all your heart and you cannot believe in his promises.

4. Finally, Act Big: Thinking big is a way forward towards possessing your possessions. But you must act your thought for it to manifest. Take that bold step; put your thoughts into action. God has given us the secret of making abundant wealth. Pay your tithe, give to the needy, support the work of God, sacrifice your time, money, prayer, resources etc to the work of God and humanity. If you are a tither for instance, God will open the window of heaven and shower you with blessing that your storehouse will not be enough to contain. Take the bold step act with faith and you will recover all and possess your divinely ordained possessions. God bless you as you decide to act wisely today.

THE KEYS OF OPEN HEAVEN.

Every Christian prays and wishes for open heaven. Just being a Christian or a church goer does not qualify one to have open heaven. You heaven as a Christian can only open when you have the right key/s. It is wonderful and fun filled when one operates in the realm of open heaven. Why one Christian will be prospering more than another is traceable to the degree of open heaven the one has more than the other.

What is open heaven? Open heaven can be seen clearly from the following;

· Enjoying the presence of God at all times and in all things in your life is a pure description of open heaven.

· You enjoy open heaven when all good steps you take in life receive approval from God.

· Open heaven is a state where by God turns around every hopeless situation in your life.

· You have open heaven when you can obtain divine mercy from God even when naturally, you don’t deserve it.

· Open heaven defines a situation where one experiences uncommon and sweat less breakthroughs.

· When God attends to every issue in your life with his divine grace and favour.

· Open heaven is when you receive divine attention day and night concerning the affairs of your life.

· You are experiencing open heaven when hardship, disappointment, sorrow, stagnancy, delay, lack, failure at the age of breakthrough etc are terminated in your life.

What are the keys of open heaven? To experience open heaven, you need to apply the right keys and principles. Open heaven does not just come like that. You have to work for it. The keys to open heaven include:

ü True Worship: For you to experience open heaven, you must learn how to worship God in truth and in spirit. Many Christians and believers today are mere church goers. To attract open heaven, you have to learn how to worship God from the depth of your heart and with your substance no matter the situation you find yourself.

ü Prayer: Prayer is a powerful key that can unlock every locked situation in one’s life. Be it physical or spiritual lock. No wonder the bible says in the book of Jeremiah chapter 33 verse 3, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show you great and mighty things which thou knowest not”. Through prayer, God will reveal to you the key to unlock every closed door in your life and once that is done your heaven is already open to shower you with blessings.

ü Praises: In most cases, it has been proven that where prayers have failed, praise worked. Praise is a powerful instrument to unlock heaven. When Paul and Silas were locked up in prison, they sang and praised the lord until the prison gates flew open.

ü Meditation: Meditating in the word of God day and night reveals little things that we fail to do which will unlock our heavens. The book of Joshua chapter 1 verse 8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shall have good success”. This bible portion clearly shows that the secret of our open heavens is in mediating in the word of God day and night.

ü Giving: This is another important key to our open heavens. Many Christians do not give offering in the church or even give to the needy. Tithe is another important aspect of giving and if you don’t tithe as a Christian, things get tight for you. The book of Malachi chapter 3 and verse 10 says “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” It means that if you don’t tithe, the window of heaven will be locked against you.

ü Faith: Faith is another very important key of open heaven. Your true worship, prayer, praises meditation in the word of God and giving can only yield fruit if you believe. There is no belief without faith.

What are the Benefits of Open Heaven?

Ø God will favour you.

Ø Men and women will go beyond their ways to bless you.

Ø Promotion will come from the east, west, south and north.

Ø Breakthrough and uncommon testimonies will locate you.

Ø You will have divine health in abundance.

Ø You will not struggle in life.

Ø Before you ask, God will answer

Ø It will be well with your body, soul and spirit.

Ø People shall call you blessed.

Ø People around you will desire to be like you because of the manifestation of God’s blessings in your life.

THE FORCE OF THANKSGIVING:

The force of Thanksgiving is the greatest force on earth that is capable of changing every unfriendly situation in one’s life. It is needful for us t be thankful to God for his mercies, kindness, goodness, provision, protection, sustenance etc. Until you are thankful, your tank of blessing will never be full. If we thank God over just a little thing he has done for us, it will open doors for greater testimonies for us. Every one that is alive owes God thanks.

That one is alive is the greatest testimony any one can have. Anytime you sleep and wake up, it is because God sustained you. No wonder the psalmist says in the book of Psalms chapter 3: 5, “I laid down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me”. As human beings, we can sleep at will, even if sleep does not come, we can take sleeping pills and force ourselves to sleep. But waking up is not by our power. Any one that sleeps and wakes up is by the grace of God. There is no pill that can wake one up. Anyone who does not give thanks is an ingrate and does not deserve to receive from God. There is power in thanksgiving, Jesus gave thanks in all things and anytime he does, miracle follows. When our lord Jesus gave thanks, a loaf of bread that could not sustain one man was used to feed over five thousand men. When you give thanks, you provoke divine blessings.

Only a thoughtful heart gives thanks. To be thankful makes praises genuine and acceptable to God. To be thankful guarantees divine visitation. You do not need to fast and pray for forty days and forty nights before you attract God’s presence, all you need is thanksgiving. Every act of God acknowledged by you via thanksgiving qualifies you for receiving more from God. When you give thanks to God, you remind him of the things He has not done for you. It’s worthy to note that anything you don’t thank God for will never increase. Your life will never have taste or order until you learn to be thankful. Note also that whatever is dead and buried in your life (be it joy, job, marriage, children, etc) will never come back to life until you learn to give thanks for what you have now.

Many only see what God has not done for them, but close their eyes and ears to the ones he did. You are crying that you don’t have a job, wife, husband, child, house, car etc. Have you thanked Him for the life he has given you? What about the good health he gave to you? Is it not a man who is alive that can have his heart desires? Think back now, can you recount how many of your friends, brothers, sisters and relations who died without fulfilling their heart desires? But God has kept you alive because he has not finished with you. So why won’t you give him thanks.

INGREDIENCE OF THANKSGIVING:

· JOY: You cannot be grateful and thankful if you are not joyful. Joy is a choice, but I advise you to choose to be joyful no matter your situation in life. Nothing works without joy. Being Joyful is the secret of winners in life.

· PRAISE: The book of Psalm 67: 5 says “Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee”. And in the verse 6, it says “Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us”. This means that praises attract God’s blessings and thanksgiving is generated via praise.

· OFFERING: For thanksgiving to be complete, you need to offer something of substance. It must not necessarily be money, you may offer you time, talent etc. The same book of Psalms says “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.” Giving glory or thanks or praises will be worth its while when you offer something to the lord.

· Finally, for that joy in your heart, which leads to praise to God and your offering to be acceptable to God, you must be genuinely born again. Genuine salvation makes your thanksgiving acceptable to God.

THE BONDAGE OF MASTURBATION

Masturbation is the stimulation of one’s sex organ either manually or by other means to obtain sexual satisfaction. When we say bondage, it is a state of being enslaved or a prisoner to something. Biblically we can say it is being tied down with a physical or invisible rope or chain. Any one that is in bondage cannot willingly or freely exercise his authority.
Masturbation is one evil that has enslaved a lot of men in the world today. The bible in the book of John chapter 8 verse 34 says “Jesus answered them, verily, verily, I say unto you, whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin”. Masturbation is one sin that has become so common today that men now take it as a normal way of life. The book of 2nd Corinthians chapter 7 verse 1 says “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” This clearly shows that most of us believers are not holy because the sin of masturbation still engulfs our daily lives. Some Christians say they don’t get involved in fornication or adultery, but anyone who masturbates is a sinner.
Masturbation is a powerful spirit the devil has imposed on men and women through lust and it gets worse by continuous practice. It is so powerful that once it is started, it takes only divine grace and intervention for the victim to be delivered from it. Masturbation is not just a habit but a spirit. Most men say once they are married, they will stop it, but that’s not to be because it is an evil spirit that has taken over the control of the victim’s life. Unlike other sins like fornication, adultery etc masturbation is a deceitful spirit that cannot be easily detected. Many supposed great men have failed to fulfill their destinies because of this sinful act. You see many believers pray and fast for several days for a particular thing, the next moment they scatter all the prayer and fasting with masturbation.

HOW DO WE GET INVOLVED IN MASTURBATION?
1. Untreated Lust: Lust has nothing to do with age, qualification, status or position in life. Once one has lust in his life, if not handled, it leads to masturbation.
2. Inferiority Complex: Many men are due for marriage and have all it takes to get married, but because they have that inferiority complex, they are not bold enough to approach a lady. Due to this complex problem most of them resort to self gratification. Once the spirit engulfs them, it becomes a problem.
3. Pictures of Immorality: Either real pictures or imaginary pictures, they also lead to masturbation. By the time a fully fledged man sees and watches the pictures of a nude woman, it gives room for the spirit of masturbation to enter. Any time he is in a closet, he starts imagining the pictures and begins to arouse himself.
4. Immoral Films: Blue films have destroyed a lot of men today. Most young men just watch blue films and get aroused and before you know it start masturbating and the evil spirit takes over them. This has destroyed many marriages today.
5. Earthly Music: Most of the worldly music today have words that are sexually stimulating. Most dance steps today are also sexually arousing. Most men just listen to and watch earthly music and before you know it , they are initiated into what they never bargained for.
6. Bad or Turbulent Marriages: Most men today are involved in masturbation due to problem in their marriages. Some husbands and wives have not slept together in the same room for many months and years due to one problem or the other in the home. These men resort to masturbation to satisfy their sexual urges. Once this spirit enters, even if the problem in the marriage is resolved, the sin continues.
7. Early Exposure to Sex: Most kids of these days are exposed to sex early enough. Some through house helps, neighbours, school mates etc. Once that starts, any time the child is alone he starts masturbating.
8. Depression: Depression has led many men to get involved in masturbation as a way to fight depression. As a Christian no matter what, do not allow any problem of life to depress you.
9. Idleness of the Mind: there is a saying that an idle mind is the devil’s workshop. Always find something to do. Do not be idle otherwise the devil will give you work. Most men are involved in masturbation today because of idleness.
NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF MASTURBATION:
• It introduces demonic attack into one’s life. These attacks may come through dreams. You see yourself swimming or flying in your dreams, or being chased by evil spirits.
• It brings about delayed blessings, breakthroughs, healing etc
• It programs or attracts other forms of afflictions to one’s life.
• It takes you away from God’s promises.
WHAT MUST YOU DO TO BE FREE FROM MASTURBATION?
Jesus did not come to deliver us only from outward sins, but he also came to deliver us from wickedness that starts from the heart. The book of Galatia chapter 5 verse 1 says “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage”. YES REPENT FROM THE SIN OF MASTURBATION. CLAIM IT THAT CHRIST HAS SET YOU FREE FROM ITS BONDAGE. Pray like this:
EVERY BONDAGE I HAVE BEEN IN AS A RESULT OF MASTURBATION, BREAK IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN.

CONSEQUENCES OF UNFORGIVENESS:

Read Text: Mathew 18: 21-35

This portion of the bible has the totality of Christ’s explanation to forgiveness and unforgiveness. In verse 21 of our text above, Peter asked our lord Jesus Christ the question, how often can my brother sin against me, and I forgive him. He went ahead to provide the answer, Seven times? In verse 22, our Lord Jesus Christ answered him, until seventy times seven. Some Christians will go ahead to do the mathematics and say until 490 times. This is not what our lord Jesus means here. He means to tell us that we should keep on forgiving without limit. The word is indefinitely. In the last verse, which is verse 35, the bible clearly stated, “So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your heart do not forgive your brothers their trespasses”.
Most believers today do not see unforgiveness as something that should be taking seriously. In fact many do not see it as a sin. If any believer has an unforgiving spirit, he shall not obtain mercy from God. Unforgiveness is one thing that can make a Christian to pray from year to year without result. Most Christians have caged their destinies and glory because of unforgiving spirit. There is no way any Christian can receive mercy and blessing from God if he/she does not forgive his neighbor, brother, sister, friend etc.
*****FACTS ABOUT FORGIVENESS & UNFORGIVENESS:

· Seven (7) in the bible stands for indefinite time. This means that you are supposed to forgive anyone who offends you indefinitely if you want to move forward in life.

· Unforgiveness is a common sin in the Christendom today. If you obey all commandments of God and fail to forgive, you are a sinner and will not make heaven.

· Despite all they did to Christ, he forgave those that crucified him. Even if someone hurts you when you have not done anything to him/her, forgive.

· God forgave us and gave us the chance to be his children even while we where yet sinners. You have no reason not to forgive one another.

· Forgiveness in words is not forgiveness. True forgiveness shows in your action to the one who offended you.

· If we do not forgive, God will be justified when he punishes us. Our lord’s prayer that we say every day says “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgave those who trespassed against us” That means “Don’t forgive us if we don’t forgive”.

*****CONSEQUENCES OF UNFORGIVENESS:

Ø It causes everything from mental depression to other severe health complications.

Ø It causes unnecessary burden to your heart. Let go and be free.

Ø It opens up avenue for curses and torment to work in your life.

Ø Unforgiveness will make one to lose his glory.

Ø It denies you God’s blessings no matter how you pray.

Ø It keeps the Holy Spirit away from one.

Ø Peace will be far from your heart because the prince of peace will depart from your life once there is unforgiveness.

Ø Your Gift, Offering, and tithes will be a waste as they will not be acceptable unto God.(Mathew 5: 23-24)

Ø It gives the devil upper hand over one.

Ø It makes spiritual gifts in one’s life not to be fruitful and useful to one.

Ø It will prevent one’s life from moving forward as it will be like a heavy load in your heart.

Ø One will look older than his/her real age because of the pressures of the unforgiveness in one’s heart.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO BE FREE FROM UNFORGIVENESS AND ITS EFFECTS?:

1. Repent from all known unforgiveness that may have been weighing you down.

2. Learn Active Forgiveness, How? Decide to forgive whoever offends you no matter what the person did. Cry out to the Holy Spirit for help whenever someone offends you. Pray to God to reveal to those who offended you of their mistakes. Finally stop repeating an offence.

3. Be patient with others and accommodate other people’s differences/weaknesses.

4. Keep and Obey God’s word in John 15:12 (As a commandment, love one another as God loves you).

5. Always open up and speak out anytime someone hurts or offends you. It will help you to delete that from your heart quickly.

6. Never you report an offence to anyone that is not a child of God or to someone who has a biased mind against the person that offended you.

7. Have a genuine salvation. You can only apply all that is stated above when you are genuinely a redeemed child of God.

PRAY LIKE THIS:

ü Blood of Jesus purge my heart of every unforgiveness in the name of Jesus. Amen

ü Every good thing of life that I have lost as a result of unforgiveness, I recover you back now in Jesus name. Amen.

ü Every Good door closed against any area of my life as a result of unforgiveness, I command you to open now in Jesus name. Amen.

ü Oh God my Father, help me to practice Active Forgiveness in Jesus name. Amen.

God bless you as you decide to develop a forgiving heart from this moment forward in Jesus name. Amen.

THE NECESSITY OF PATIENCE

Patience is a priceless virtue needed in everyone’s life to ensure that one attains his/her God ordained goals and dreams in life. Many have failed and missed their divine purpose and promises of God because of impatience. The importance patience in our daily lives cannot be overemphasized. In the book of James 5: 11, the bible says “We give great honour to those who endure under suffering. Job is an example of a man who endured patiently. From his experience we see how the lord’s plan finally ended in good, for he is full of tenderness and mercy”

From the above passage we can clearly see that God rewards and shows mercy to those who are patient. The story of Job is not new to each and every one of us. We all know how he lost everything he had and still did not fall out from God’s plan for his life. The bible recorded that his later end was better than his beginning. Also the book of Ecclesiastes 7:8 which says “Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than Pride.” also confirms the fact that patience is key in life.

In the context of this message, Patience can be defined as;

· The ability to be stable and not moved in adverse situations.

· It can also be defined as the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, be it Delay in plans, provocation, hardship etc.

· Patience is the guidance and manifestation of true faith.

· Patience is that which teaches us to subdue pride and forgive those who offend us.

· It is the extinguisher of envy. A patient man will not envy anyone who is doing better than him today.

· It is the ability to sit back and wait for the expected outcome of a venture without experiencing tension, anxiety and frustration.

Below are some basic facts about Patience:

Ø Anything you get out of patience does not last ( be it job, child, wife, husband, money etc)

Ø Any one that waits patiently, joy ends his time ( Heb. 10:36)

Ø Unless one is patient, he may not enjoy the promises and plans of God for his life.

Ø There is no road too long for a man who waits on the Lord.

Ø There is no honour too distant for a man who prepares himself with patience.

Ø Patience is sorrow’s salve.

Ø He that has patience can have whatever he wishes.

Ø Patience can help us achieve more than we can achieve with our own force.

Ø A true Christian stands out from others by his level of patience/endurance.

Ø Never think that God’s delay is denial, be patient.

Ø Patience is a bitter plant that produces sweet fruit.

Ø Patience supports weakness while impatience destroys one’s strength.

Ø Patience is your ability as a person to maintain tolerance.

Ø Patience is that which assists you to walk in God’s laws.

Ø There is a right time and place for things to happen in your life. All you need is patience to locate the time and place.

Just like patience has its own consequences impatience has its own consequences too. The consequences of Impatience are;

v An inpatient person gets angry fast and anger destroys God’s plan for one.

v An impatient person will throw away good things prematurely.

v The life of an inpatient person is full of abandoned projects because he lacks the patience to wait till completion of each project.

v Impatience is the cause of failed marriages.

v Impatience leads to destruction or cancellation of opportunities.

v It leads to desperation and desperation can lead to untimely death.

Patience is all you need to excel and achieve your goals in life. One needs to develop the attitude of patience in order to run away from the adverse effects of impatience. How can one do this?

ü Take control of your mind. Be fast to hear and slow to take action or react.

ü Never be harsh to others. Develop a listening ear.

ü Always stay in the present and don’t lose focus of the Goal.

ü Meditate on the word of God always.

ü Deliberately pray and fast for God to grant you patience.

ü Be genuinely born again. It is only when you do the will of God that God can grant your requests.

What is it that you are going through? Is it unemployment, no child, no husband, no wife, delayed blessing, delayed manifestation of God’s promise in your life etc. All you need is patience. Remember, you cannot change the programme of God. He has his own calendar and at the appointed time, he will surely make it come to pass. God bless you as you meditate on this message.

WHEN DESIRES ARE NOT GRANTED (PART II)

In part 1 of this message, we saw that it is the will and desire of God for every believer to prosper. We also saw the feelings of Christians when their desires are not met which include: Belief that the devil is at work, God has forsaken them and does not care anymore about them, it may not be the will of God to grant the desire. We also discussed that when desires are not met, we should not start blaming anybody, rather we should check our lives. The things to check as we captured in part one include;

1. What our desires are founded on.

2. What we have been saying with our mouth.

In this part two, we shall continue with what to check when our desires are not met.

3. Check your understanding of time: There is time and season for everything on earth. For everything in life, there is a time and season. That is why we have rainy season, dry season, etc. For every of our desires in life, God has a plan for it which is the right time. If we as Christians don’t understand the timing of God we may find ourselves pursuing the right things in life at the wrong time or pursuing the wrong things at the right time. Our Lord Jesus Christ succeeded in his ministry on earth because it was the right time (John 2: 4, John 7:6) . When you have fasted and prayed for a thing and yet it does not come, reflect on this, it may not be the right time as ordained by God. God will grant your request at His right time and not your own right time. An earthly father cannot buy a car for his son when he is still a baby. The same way God cannot give us certain things when He knows we are not yet matured for such. It is better to be second in God’s time than to be first in your own time.

4. Check who you have been listening to: Who and what you listen to play important part in how your desires are met. Are you listening to flesh or are you listening to God and the Holy Spirit? Are you listening to others, brothers, sisters, friends, colleagues etc? Your future depends so much on what you are hearing. Many have ended up destroying their lives because of what they heard from others. Someone comes and tells you how he did this and that and today he is swimming in money. You will not seek the council and direction of God and you jump into what you heard. Do not desire a thing because others are doing so. Ask for the direction of God and listen to what he tells you. Many have their desires not granted because those desires are not the will of God. Note that God can only defend what he has said. (Psalm 32: 8).

5. Check what your expectations were: How do you expect to receive your desires? The extent to which your desires will be granted depends greatly on your expectations. Are your expectations in alignment with the purpose of God for your life and destiny? Many may be praying every day, I want to travel abroad, God grant me favour and grace to travel abroad. Have you asked God’s expectation and plan for your life to prosper? If God has destined that you are going to make it here in Nigeria and you keep on desiring and praying to travel abroad. If you are a child of God such request will not be granted.

Naaman in the book of Second Kings chapter 5 expected Elisha to come to him and pray so that he will be healed of his leprosy. But instead Elisha told him to go to the river Jordan and wash seven times. His expectation was wrong and had he insisted on his heart expectation, his desire of being made whole of leprosy would not have been granted. So when your desires are not met or granted, find out if your expectations align with God’s plan for you.

My dear brothers and sisters, when you greatly desire a thing, you have prayed, fasted and waited on the lord for that thing, and it does not come to pass, check your life. It may be that your desires are wrongly founded. It may also be as a result of negative confessions you may have made with your mouth. On the other hand, it may be that it is not the right time/God’s time. Also check what you have been listening to and find out if your expectations are God’s plan for you. GOD BLESS YOU.

WHEN DESIRES ARE NOT GRANTED (1)

Jesus Christ our lord talking in the book of Mark chapter 11 verse 24 says whatever we desire, pray for and believe, we shall have them. Our bible made us to understand that God is not a man that he will lie. What that means by all standards is that once God has spoken, it shall come to pass. In the book of proverb, 10: 24, the bible says that “The fear of the wicked shall come upon him, but the desires of the righteous shall be granted” .This same passage solidifies the fact that desires of Christians (righteous) shall be met. Also as captured in the book of Psalms 78:29b and Psalms 34: 10b when we legitimately desire anything as Christians, it shall come to pass.

But unfortunately most desires of Christians are not granted despite these promises of God. When our desires are not granted as Christians we are bound to think in this following direction or believe one of the following;

The devil is at work.
God does not care anymore
It is not the will of God for that to happen
The enemy is at work

In some cases the above may be true and majority of the time not at all. The greatest determining factor towards your desires being met at any time is you. God will not do his part and still do yours. You have to play your part accordingly to ensure that your desires will be met according to the promises of God.

The bible confirms in 1st Peter 5:8 that we should be vigilant because the devil our adversary like a roaring lion is moving about seeking for whom to devour. Yes the devil may be instrumental to our desires not being met, but before that can happen we must have given room to the devil to have access into our lives through sin.

In the book of Mark chapter 4: 36-39 when a terrible storm beat the boat Jesus and the disciples were in, they cried out to Him saying, carest thou not that we perish? They felt that the master does not care anymore, but He cares. In verse 39 the bible recorded that He arose and rebuked the storm and it seized. The book of Zechariah 2: 8b also confirmed that Jesus cares because he calls us the apple of his eyes and any one that touches us touches Him.

When desires are not granted, some also think it is not the will of God for them to have their heart desire. In most cases this is fallacy. It may be the will of God, but our attitude or character may be the problem. The leper in the book of Mark 1:40-41 said to Jesus if you will, help me, Jesus responded I will, be thou clean. He is always willing and able to do abundantly more than we desire.

When your desires are not granted don’t blame anyone, don’t start insinuating that this or that may be responsible, don’t rush into conclusion that it is the devil, or that God is not ready and willing to answer etc, look into your life. Search you life, dig deep into your attitude, character and ways of life. Psalm 119: 59 says “I thought on my ways and turned my feet unto thy testimonies”. You need to have a rethink and confirm exactly what is responsible for the no or delay in response to your desires not being granted.

WHAT DO YOU CHECK?

What are your desires founded on? If your desires are not founded on the word of God, there is every likelihood that they will not be met or granted. For God to grant our desires, they must be founded on the scripture. The world we are living in today was created by the word of God. There are a lot of “it is written” in the bible that describe every situation we find ourselves in. Choose the right one that suits your desires and make the supplications to God, and surely it will be granted.
Check what you have been saying with your mouth: Proverb 6: 2 says “ Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth and thou art taken with the words of thy mouth”. There is power in spoken words. Positive confessions have positive results while negative confessions produce negative results. You don’t expect to have your heart desires granted when you are confessing negatively about that desire. You want your marriage to work and you are saying with your mouth that your husband/wife is a devil. How do you expect the marriage with a devil to work? No wonder the book of psalm 141: 3 says “Set a Watch oh Lord before my mouth; keep the door of my lips”. In numbers 13: 28 the Israelites would have had their heart desires except that they murmured and blasphemed God with their own mouth. Anything you say with your mouth is heard by two powers, God and the devil. God will always work on the positive once and make them fulfilled while the devil takes hold of your negative confessions and ensure that they materialize. Remember always that your mouth is a spiritual magnet that can draw evil or good to your life. How are you today? And your response is, we are struggling. Destiny has to do with your future, the reason for your creation as a man. God’s divine agenda for your life. Every man created by God is created for a reason and purpose. That reason and purpose which will manifest or unfold as you live your life defines your destiny. Paralysis on the other hand has to do with death of a part or entirety of a thing. So when we talk about the paralyzers of Men’s destiny, we are talking about those forces or powers that destroy men’s destinies. These powers may paralyze marriages, finances, career, business etc. From research, destinies of many men have been paralyzed. A man who is destined to be a great man, you see him struggling to feed himself, why, his destiny has been re-arranged by destiny paralyzers.
What is the weapon used to paralyze men’s destinies?
SEX: Proverb Chapter 6, verses 32 and 33 says “But whosoever committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding, he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. A wound and dishonor shall he get and his reproach shall not be wiped away”. What a saying. Many men’s destinies have been turned upside down just because of a few seconds Illicit sexual pleasure. Sex has destroyed many men’s destinies and will still continue to destroy many if precaution is not taken. Many men will comfortably leave their houses and go into a harlot’s house or a woman that is not legally married to them to satisfy their immoral sexual desires. Most men think they are having fun, but actually they are spelling doom and destruction for themselves. Look at what the bible said in Proverb 7, 26-27 “For she hath cast down many wounded, yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell going down to the chambers of death.”
Scripturally, men are supposed to be providers in their homes. But in most homes these days’ women are bread winners. Why? Such men’s destinies have been paralyzed by daughters of Jezebel. The truth is that any man who can control his sexual urge can be in charge of his life and will surely fulfill his God ordained destiny. A man whose destiny has been paralyzed will struggle all through his life.
Whether you believe it or not, Sexual Temptation must come to you as a man. It does not matter if you are rich or poor, handsome or ugly, as far as you are a man with destiny, you must have sexual temptations and if you don’t control this urge, it may ruin and paralyze ones destiny unless there is a divine intervention.
Sources of Temptation:
• Lust: Anything you lust after will automatically become a source of temptation for you in life. Many men cannot see a pretty woman without desiring to sleep with her.
• Undefined relationship with the opposite sex: What will a woman not legally married to you be doing in your house, on your bed in odd hours of the day? There should be a limit with every relationship with the opposite sex. Don’t say you are born again, dear brothers, you will fall. Always define what ever relationship you have and keep to your limits.
• As a man, do not get intimate with single ladies, widows, and semi/partial singles (husband not living with them). They are sure source of temptation.
• Unfulfilled Sexual satisfaction: Any time you wanted to sleep with your wife and because of one issue or the other, it did not happen. This is a time you see the animal in men manifesting. When they go out they can sleep with anything on skirt just to satisfy that unfulfilled sexual urge. Men please beware.
• Provocative Dressing: Women these days prefer to go about naked. Any man that cannot control the animal in him will end up destroying his destiny. In our homes, you see your wife’s sisters exposing all areas of her body that is meant to be private. In the offices the same thing, any lady that does not expose her cleavage these days does not have breast to flaunt. The bible says flee. Please flee.
• Unresolved Sexual Bondage: Any time you sleep with a woman outside your marriage for the first time, you have entered into a covenant with her. The truth is that you will continue to sleep with her any time you see her. Its better you don’t start it at all, because that is sure road to destruction.
• Pornography and Sexually motivated Movies: Every time you see a naked woman either in a movie or in the internet or magazines, the next thing the animal in you will start desiring to have a fling. Men avoid anything that will lure you into immoral sex .The truth is that we have different levels of grace. A man may commit adultery or fornication all his life and still God will save him, but another may do it just once and he is doomed forever. The solution is total abstinence from sin.

Never see you self as a superman. Don’t ever say, it cannot happen to you. The bible says he who thinks he stands should take heed less he fall.
Seek freedom from past sexual entanglements and resolve never to indulge into such again.
Handle and treat your body as the temple of God. If you honour your body you will not mess it with other women who are not legally tied with you.
Have a good marriage no matter what it will cost. Nurture your marriage and make it work. If your marriage is working you will sure reduce temptation.
Maintain high level of self discipline or you become a prey to sexual lust.
Work on your character, integrity and attitude.
Run away from stimulants and appearance of evil.
Avoid satanic parties and gathering.
Have a father or mentor that will always advice and guide you.
Avoid bad friends.

HIDDEN REASON WHY SOME MEN’S PRAYERS ARE NOT ANSWERED.

When something is hidden, it simply means that it is a secret, concealed, out of site, veiled, unknown. We can go on and on with that definition. Answers to prayers follow a predefined pattern. The question is if you must meet a certain criteria for your prayer to be answered, and you don’t know that criterion, it all means one is just praying in vain. God’s desire is for all men to prosper, but the key to our prosperity is in our hands. This message is aimed at unraveling one of the major reasons why most men’s prayers remain unanswered.

If you go to the book of 1st Peter, chapter 3 and verse 7, it says “Likewise, ye husbands dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
If you look at the bible portion above, there are two major things I want to draw our attention to: (i) Giving honour unto the wife (ii) That your prayers be not hindered. What does this tell us, we must honour our wives if we don’t want answers to our prayers to be hindered. Most men do not have regard for their wives, some turn their wives into slaves, some make their wives punching bags, and some just turned their wives into sex machines to satisfy their animalistic instincts. This is one of the major reasons why you see most men today not being what God wants them to be.
Marriage is a covenant and God is a covenant keeping God. He blesses those who keep his words and despises those who do not abide by his word. Proverb Chapter 28:20a says “A faithful man shall abound with blessings”. Who is a faithful man? The man who respects and obeys God’s ordinances. If you turn around the above statement, it means that an unfaithful man will not abound with blessings.
Most men will say, why should I honour my wife? Culture is one major problem we have as men in this area. Some will only see the bible portion that says women should honour and respect their husbands. Well that is why it is a secret. It is only the wise that will connect with this and receive God’s prosperity and unhindered answers to their prayers.
I f we go back to that passage above (1st Peter,3: 7) the second line there says “.....dwell with them according to knowledge....” What that means is that we require wisdom to manage our wives. If what it will require for your heaven to open is to honour your wife, why then will you not do it? BE WISE.
Many men do not receive answers to their prayers because they abuse their marriage partners. You may ask how we abuse our wives:

· When you are unfaithful to her, whether she is aware or not, it will block your open heaven.

· When you are insensitive to her needs as your wife.

· When you tongue lash her unnecessarily

· When you do not provide for her or play your role as a husband

· When you use sex as an instrument of bargain or punishing your wife.

If you abuse your wife as a man through any of these ways, you are not only hindering answers to your prayers, but cause more problems to your life.
WHAT IS THE WAY OUT?

Ø Decide today to be a true child of God. Be genuinely born again. The truth is that all we have been saying above will not make any sense to you if you are not a genuine child of God.

Ø Confess and Forsake. Any way you have been abusing her in the past, confess to her and beg for pardon, then ensure that you forsake doing such things again.

Ø Always buy your wife gifts even when she does not request for it.

Ø Always pray with your wife. A couple that pray together will always be together and their prayers will ascend heaven within seconds.

Ø Have a good relationship with God. The bible says when a man’s ways are right with God, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Ø Make the word of God your manual.

Ø Decide to live a sin free life. God will only show the righteous the way to success.

HOW TO BE FREE FROM SEXUAL IMPURITY

Due to sexual impurity many men have lived wasted lives here on earth. The truth is that if the necessary precautions are not taken and in time many will still waste their lives due to sexual immoralities and impurities. Sex is good and actually ordained by God as a means of procreation and sign of intimacy between husband and wife. Sexual impurities have put many men in bondage, poverty, hardship and financial instability. Impure sex can change ones destiny instantly and that is why men must guard their loins to avoid the repercussions of sexual impurities.

We have been talking about sexual impurity; one may wish to ask, what do we mean by sexual impurity? Something is Impure when it is dirty, contaminated, adulterated, polluted etc. Going by this definition, impure sex is one that is dirty, contaminated etc. Aside from the physical hurt and pain (bondage, hardship, financial instability etc) caused by sexual impurity ,eternal condemnation is the end product of sexual impurity. 1st Corinthians 6: 9-10 clearly states “Don’t you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the kingdom of God? Don’t fool your selves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshippers, adulterers, prostitutes, homosexuals, drunkards .........none of them will have a share in the kingdom of God.”

Having known the destructive power of sexual impurity, how then can you run away from it and protect your life from destruction physically, spiritually and eternally?

• Run away from every impure sex: It is not a sin to have sex, but it becomes a sin when you have it with the wrong person. If you have sex with anyone you are not legally married to, it is sinful and destructive.

• Seek freedom from past entanglement: How? Sincerely repent and renounce your past sexual escapades. Most men may have been involved in numerous illicit sexual affairs prior to marriage and even during marriage until they embraced the word of truth (the word of God) and repented. Most men even after repentance still suffer and pay the price of their illicit past. Pray for God’s forgiveness and vow not to go back it.

• Have a good marriage: No matter what it takes, make your marriage to work. If your marriage is not working, there is always temptation to look outside which will lead you to impure sex. (Road to destruction). Remember marriage is for better for worse. The bible does not support separation after marriage. So make your marriage to work to avoid temptation which will lead you to destruction.

• Have self discipline: Say no to impure sex. Control your emotions. Be in control of your sex life. Say no to seduction of any type. Note, it takes a man with self discipline to keep to one woman. Be disciplined.

• Draw a line of boundary which must never be crossed: Every man knows his weak point. You know when you have been stretched to your limit. Immediately you have reached your limit, stop.

• Don’t play with the emotions of any woman that is not your wife. You may not know what she has in mind and what she may be going through emotionally to avoid a lead that will result to temptation.

• Don’t touch any other woman carelessly as innocent touches may spark up the devil in you to go beyond your limits. Any time a woman is chatting with you and what she normally wants to discuss are issues that will arouse you, run as fast as you can. The bible says flee.

• Be very careful any time you are with a widow, divorcee and single ladies that always like to visit you any time they are sure you will be alone. The question is why it will be when they are sure you will be alone that they will like to visit you, be wise!

• Do not harbor any woman that is not your wife, your sister or close relation especially when you know you have a weakness in controlling your emotions with women.

• Keep your relationship with God strong: Always soak your body, soul and spirit in prayer. Read the word of God at all times and practice what you read.

FINANCIAL FREEDOM IN THE LIVES OF MEN

A man has financial freedom when he is at liberty to spend money any how he likes. A man also can be seen as having financial freedom when he has no restriction on what and when he can spend money. It is the dream and desire of every man to be financially free, but unfortunately that is not the case. Why then do some men have financial problems?

• Every man that has more expenditure than his income must have financial problem.

• Men expose themselves to financial problems when they rob God of tithe and offering.

• When you fail to honour pledges you made, you are inviting financial problems to yourself.

• Stinginess is another thing that makes men to have financial problems. When you don’t give, tell me how you will increase.

• Disobedience to divine direction. Most men don’t seek the face of God before investing in any business or building a career in any area. This is invitation to financial mess.

• Demonic activities also lead to financial mess. There are principalities and powers that don’t want men to prosper. If you are not a strong Christian, you will be at the mercy of these demons and they will not want you to prosper.

• Greed: Greedy men don’t increase. Greed is one thing that destroys men especially financially. Especially when you do business with any one do not be greedy when the money comes as you will end up shooting yourself on the leg. Greed destroys ones financial freedom.

• When you are not at peace with your wife. The bible says he who finds a wife finds good thing and obtains mercy and favour from God. It is the mercy and favour of God that you need to be financially free. If your wife is not happy with you, her bitterness will block your heaven.

• Sin and immoralities block Gods ears from listening and hearing your prayers. How will you prosper and gain financial freedom when God does not listen to your prayers?

Aside from the favour and mercy of God, there are three major things that determine man’s financial freedom. These are:

1. What you spend: If you must be financially free, you must be careful how you spend. If you are not in control of your spending, even when you have the mercy, grace and favour of God, it will be hard for you to have financial freedom.

2. What you sow and invest: Your sowing and investments will determine how your finances will increase and multiply. The more you sow and invest wisely, the more financially free you become.

3. What you save: If you must have financial freedom, you must learn to save.

HOW CAN YOU GUARANTEE FINANCIAL FREEDOM:?

Note that prosperity is not by power or force, it is by the grace and favour of God. To guarantee your financial freedom, you must do the following;

• First of all find out why you are having financial problem. Face it, fight it, and solve it ones and for all.

• Your beginning or the way you are now does not matter, if you trust in God and do His will you will end in greatness. Job chapter 8 vs. 7 says “And though you started with little, you will end with much”.

• Take concrete and necessary actions towards reversing your financial problems. You need to plan and budget your income and expenditures.

• Be a tither, and always sow seed regularly especially to the needy around you and in the things of God. Remember, if you don’t sow, you will not reap. A car that is not working has not need for refueling.

• Save and invest wisely. Always learn to take calculated risks in all things especially those that have to do with money.

• Obedience, Trust and belief in God. Job chapter 36 vs. 11 says “If they listen and obey God, then they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives. All their years will be pleasant”.

• Don’t be stingy. Proverbs 11 vs. 24 says “it is possible to give freely and become wealthier, but those who are stingy will lose everything”.

We have heard the truth, the decision is ours. If you want financial freedom, do the will of God and you shall be blessed.
