Ananya's marriage plans gone for a throw

It was not a Happy Valentine's Day for actress Ananya, who got engaged to a businessman Anjaneyan recently. Her dreams to enjoy the marriage bliss was shattered after she discovered that her husband-to-be was already married to a Kozhikode-based girl and he tried to cheat the Naadodigal actress. The buzz is that Ananya has filed a complaint against Anjaneyan claiming that he has not revealed anything about his previous marriage thereby trying to cheat the actress. The Perumbavoor Police, who is investigating the case, has found that Anjaneyan tied the knot with the Kozhikode girl in 2008 but they have now mutually approached the court for divorce, which is yet to be settled. On February 3, Ananya, who was last seen in AR Murugadoss' Engeyum Eppodhum, got engaged to Anjaneyan at Perumbavoor near Ernakulam.

'Naan Ee' audio release in March

The buzz is that the audio of SS Rajamouli's bilingual 'Naan Ee' (Eega in Telugu) will be released in the last leg of March. Starring Nani, Samantha and Sudeep in the lead roles, the film is slated to be released in mid-April. The big summer release banks on three markets. Besides Telugu and Tamil, it will have a huge market in Karnataka; thanks to the presence of Sandalwood star Sudeep. This is the most important film Rajamouli has ever made, only next to 'Magadheera' maybe. That the director has chosen a very difficult subject and the genre of the film, bear testimony to the fact that 'Naan Ee' is definitely an avant-garde film to watch out for. The hero is killed at the outset, and he reincarnates as a fly to avenge his death. Sudeep has recently been quoted as saying that the film is an intense emotional thriller. It will be interesting to see if Rajamouli will dish out a Hollywood-kind of spectacle. If that were to be true, he will be considered Tollywood's own Shankar and will be yet another treat to watch out for in K-town.

That Suriya doing five characters in ‘Maatraan’ is no more a secret. But the news is that one among them would feature him in a totally different look, which has been kept under wraps by director KV Anand. “Suriya and Anand were recently in the United States and consulted with make-up coordinators there to design the new look. After taking into consideration five to six designs, they zeroed in on one,” chirps a little birdie. 70 per cent of the shooting is over so far and the remaining is expected to be completed in two months. “Anand is planning to release the movie for Tamil New Year or May Day to cash in on the summer vacation,” the source adds. Being produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram of AGS Entertainment, ‘Maatraan’ is touted as a sci-fi thriller. Nearly 70% of the shooting has been wrapped and as earlier reported some high voltage action scenes were canned in Chennai at a huge set erected in OMR. The team will be shortly leaving to Hyderabad to Ramoji Film City where a week's schedule has been planned.
