Japan is one of the most influential economies in the world. The leading Japanese companies are among the largest, most efficiently run, and most famous in the world. Japan has been one of the world's leading countries in science, technology and economic. Many of the largest companies in the world are situated in this country.

People have many different motivations for wanting to learn Japanese. Japanese culture is also very interesting. The Japanese culture is one of the richest in the world. Around 127 million people on the islands of Japan speak Japanese, making it the ninth most widely spoken language in the world. Outside of Japan, there are another 5 million people who speak Japanese. Learning Japanese creates opportunities if I am to work in my homeland or work there for a period of studying in Japan and not knowing the Japanese language may be quite frustrating. Knowing another foreign language can make my life improvement.

It is the reading and writing of Japanese which offers the greatest challenge to the beginner, and also speaking as well. People speaking several foreign languages earn more money that people only speaking English. Japan is one of the safest places in the world to study and I will grow and develop as a person, learning to take more responsibility for myself and becoming more independent in my life. Studying Japanese is the perfect opportunity to learn about Japan life, food, history and culture.

Finally, Study Japanese I will make friends from many different countries in Japan. If we don’t understand something we can help each other and especially Japanese people are often extremely interested in meeting and becoming friends with foreigners as well.

Why Do I Study English?

All human beings were born in the world need to study, although they find it difficult. Actually, they have to study not only subjects in a school system but also everything around them. In addition, they try to learn so as to reach their future goals or to make their dreams become true someday. For me, I decide to choose one subject to learn so that I can get success in my life. In fact, it is English, and there are many reasons why I study English such as, I need it to study at university, it’s the international language for most people, I can understand more about the world, and it helps me to get a good job.

First, English is one subject which I need it in order to continue to study at university because English subject is one among subjects that we have to learn. Even though we choose other skills beside English skill, we still learn it at university. For example, we want to study business in a faculty because we don’t want to learn English at all. On the other hand, people do business in English all over the world. That’s why we cannot get out of learning English, so I think that English is really necessary for students who wish to study at university.

Second, English is the international language for most people because we can use English when we are travelling. For instance, we go abroad as a matter of fact, we cannot use our native language to communication with people with people in foreign countries because those people don’t know our first language, so we use English to keep in touch with those in order that we’re convenient to love in other countries in the world. Moreover, we can talk to lots of new people who come to our country if we know English. In this case, we can show that people are living in our country are friendly and helpful. For example, we meet foreigners who lose the way by accident, and they depend on us to help them to find the way. If we know English, we can assist them. As a result of this, English is one of people’s needs in their lives.

Third, If I can listen and read English, I am able to understand more about the world because I can read English and American magazines and newspapers and understand films and television programs. I really like reading English newspapers, and so I can get a lot of information or good news, especially I know different events that are taking place around the world nowadays. Anyway I am well aware that all people who live in different countries they have also got different cultures. For example, when friends meet, they greet each other. Different people greet friends in different way. In Japan, they bow their heads to greet each other. In other lands, friends hug each other and some kiss each other on both cheeks. so this is extra knowledge that I gain because I know English.

Finally, the last reason why I make up my mind and choose English to study because English can help me to get a good job. In reality, nowadays almost companies and nongovernmental organizations require personnel who know English and can use computer skill fully. For example, some organizations when we want to work in, we have to fill in application form in English. In addition, we sometimes need to add curriculum vitae and cover letter in English as well; therefore, English is really crucial and helpful for someone who has aim to find a good job and get well-paid.

To sum it up, I can make my future brighter with English. It is extremely useful because I can have high education, get in touch with many people around the world, improve my knowledge, and have a well-paid job to do. For all these reasons, there are many advantages that we can obtain if we know English. I think that studying English is a great way for everyone to choose in order to get success in their lives.

My Opinions about Reading and Writing

There are the two most important of academic are writing and reading. Some subjects are required me need to read and write a lot. For example, when I Study about cultural or Khmer Study, I need to read and then I need to write about something what I know. There are a lot of importance of reading and writing, so I will try to explain about the importance of reading and writing based on my experience.

First of all, I would like to tell about the importance of reading. For me, reading is one activity of my learning. I can make a critical thinking after I read. It can make me to know what is right and what is wrong, and I can know a lot of vocabularies, improve my reading skill, and understand the meaning in the text quickly. Therefore, reading is my leisure activity. I usually read books when I have free time. Reading can cut down the stress and sadness out of my mind. For instance, reading comic books have more fun. Furthermore, the more I read, the more I enjoy myself. When I read a lot, I will be able to make good decisions. It is useful to read more in order to exercise my mind, get information around the world, Know instructions and directions, and plan for my future. Therefore, reading is a good activity for me to develop my mind, my ideas, and my knowledge.

Second, I would like to describe about the importance of writing. Writing is also important for me. I can’t remember all lessons, so I have to write them down on the books. It’s easy to remember, and when I forget some lessons, I can take and review it. It is the benefit of writing. In addition, I can share my ideas with my writing, and I can describe about something that I like. I write because I want to tell how I feel and how I think. Also, writing is a part of fun. I write to enjoy myself. When I write a lot, I can know grammar structures and words spelling. Writing exercises my brain to show opinions, ideas and feeling. Almost every day, I like to write about my special activity into my books. I write in order to show my feeling to my parents, my relative, and my friends when I miss them. I write because I want to distribute my knowledge to others. Indeed, writing is the process that I can improve my writing skill and my studies.

In conclusion, reading and writing are the two important components of academic. They are also very important for me to according to the reasons above. There are a lot of advantages that I can get from reading and writing. I will have enough ability to read and write very well, if I try to do it. So, it is motivating me to study and I wish to be a good writer and reader.

For the people of Cambodia, the water Festival (Bonn Om Teuk) in Phnom Penh is the most magnificent traditional festival. This morning, I was driving to the riverfront with my family members to see the view of the second day of water festival. And there are also different kinds of people in the period of this time. I noticed that happy goers always lost their valuable jewelry and money and sometimes their kids also lost their way because their parents are careless of their kids. By the way, we really don’t determine who is good or bad person. And million of people coming for sure in the afternoon as I can feel more and more people are coming straight to the river side now.

During the water festival, in order to avoid losing your valuable belongs and money, you should not wear it because we do not know who is thief or not. During this time, there are lots of people and it is the good opportunity for thief to steal your valuable belongs and money in your pocket.

The first thing, I think that all parents should be careful of their children and they have to hold their kids’ hands all the time. In addition, you should write your phone number, address, and your name on a small paper to put in your kids’ pocket in case your kids lose their way accidentally. And then it is easy for authorities or other people help contact you.

Bonn Om Teuk (the Festival of Boat Racing) is an annual boat rowing contest which has become the largest spectator event in Cambodia as well as a national festival. And Most of Cambodian people flock from different provinces and cities into Phnom Penh capital in order to watch boat racings on Mekong River.

Bonn Om Teuk lasts three days so that boats from near and far provinces can join the contest. Therefore the Water Festival Ceremony is the army training to do attest of the army for preparing to do a battle. By the way, this festival is prepared very year to choose Champion of sailing battle, as in Bayon temple, Batteay Chhmar in the Preah Bat Jayvarman VII.

In Cambodia, there are many statues depicting sailing battles under the leadership of King Jayvarman VII, originally carved on the wall of Angkor Thom temple. Because of this Bonn Om Teuk has become a very important traditional festival in Cambodia, and an opportunity to admire the military exercises of the naval forces.

In addition, holding the festival is to mark the changing of the flow of the Tonle Sap River and is also seen as thanksgiving to the Mekong River for providing the country with fertile land and abundant fish. And at the time, the Tonle Sap River reverts to its normal down-stream direction.

In Cambidia, during the Water Festival, most of Cambodian people come to Phnom Penh but during the Khmer New Year and P’chum Ben Day, those flock to provinces in order to meet their families and relatives. And it is so quiet in Capital. I am waiting for thisfestival….!!!

Oh, I almost forgot the Water Festival itself – which takes place on about 1.7km of river (the competition course) with over 400 rowing boats and approximately 20,000 rowers from all the different provinces across the country.

With them we experience and share many things. We learn how to enjoy, hate, laugh, joke, and be a normal functioning human being.

Everytime with my friends together, we feel happy and hopefull. we almost say or do anything we like without afraid of reproach or embarrassment. It mean that we understand one another very well. I do not feel shy in front of my friends. None of us feel that you are superior or inferior. We are just friends, doing things we like together, studying together, laughing together, eating together and generally having a good time together.

Has a lot of good friends is very wonderful. When I have a problem, they can help me. Sometimes when I am a bit richer, they help me spend money. After all what are friends for? They are there to share and enjoy things with. So when we are together, we really let ourselves go. In doing so the bonds of our friendships grow stronger. having good friends is like having treasures rich beyond comparison.

But I don't think every thing is good with friends for me. Some friends always invited me to see a midnight film-show or go out at night. That's I would not like to see. When I told my mother about invitation she immediately said that I could not go. I asked why? She said she did not want me to go out so late at night because there had been a spate of criminal activities occurring recently and she did not want me to be exposed to any of these activities.

So, it has good and bad points about friends. We should choose friends that we think they are good people. As the saying goes "Associating with a black sheep always bring sorrow but a wise man always brings happiness" that my parent and my teacher always told me. And if we know clearly about this slogan, relation and friendship certainly bring us bright future.

What is the different between giving someone money and showing the way of living?

In our live Money is an important thing in everybody's life. We require money for almost thing in everything that we want. We need money to buy food, to have a place to stay in, to buy dresses, to go to school to sit on a bus...

In other speech we work to get money in order to live. Many of us try to get by with what ever money we have but all of us would like to have more. We experience that money can bring us many luxuries and pleasures. We buy almost any thing so much so we may think it can even buy happiness. That is where we make the blunder and allow money to rule our lives. That is when money goes the root of many evils.

Some people think that giving the way of living to someone is good. Because they know by the saying that "Poor in wealth is better than poor in opinion”. man works for money when she or he gets the way of living from them and then he or she try to follow them, like find a job or other works that he or she can do... After that they can earn the money by his or her-self.

But the other people don't think like this, for someone that poor or very poor, they think that giving money is very important, because it's very necessary for they living, First they need the food, and another things for living. Money can give what they want. For Example if they was ill and very poor and can't do any thing for earn money, so what should they do? That person certainly needs the money first.

So, there are two opinions that different for helping someone, the first opinion they showing the way of living to a poor man and the second they giving money. But by my opinion I think that sometime we must take the first option and sometime we must take the second for practicing. And for the special case we need take both to practice. It's mean that we give money and after that we showing the way of living to them.

In the world, there are many deferent languages that people used for communication with another people in their countries like: English, Chinese, French, Japanese...But English is a language that has popularity and more important than any other languages.

The statistics answer the question. About four hundred million people speak English as a first language and another three hundred million use English as a second language. It is the official or semi-official language in a lot of countries and of many international organizations.

For example the International Olympic Committee always holds meeting in English. Air Traffic control and communication at sea around the world is always in English. About seventy five percent of all the letters and texts are in English and eighty percent of all the information in the world's computer is in English.

Life in the city

A city is a place where many people live, work and play in. Phnom Penh is the city in Cambodia. To accommodate all these people, skyscrapers and super-market are built. Some trees are grown to offer greenery and shade but they are few compared to the thousands of buildings that stretch as far as the eye can look.

For most people has works to do, the daily task of going to work and coming home from work is a much practiced and tolerated routine. Beside these jobs, there are hawkers, taxi-drivers, road-side barbers, pavement artists, businessmen, policemen... Many of them do good business and make a great deal of money while some are not so fortunate. Practically all of them seem to be active. Life is a speed. It is a never-ending per suit of money to make ends receive, or to buy a most coveted product or to put into the bank.

The roads of Phnom Penh are sometimes very fantastic with lots of traffic. Many people drives on them daily. There are lots of cyclos, cars and trucks full of passengers. Often the roads are jammed with cars. People from province can also come to Phnom Penh by train, but buses are safer than trains. Some of the roads are great, but some are getting old now. People don't like to drive on the oldest roads, they want to repair them and also want more traffic lights. With traffic lights, the roads are much safer.

When night comes, Phnom Penh Becomes alive in a different way. The night-clubs, snooker parlors and message parlors ...open for business. These places are never short of patrons who arrive to release some of the tension built up during the day. These nocturnal activities go on deep into the night.

Thus life in the city goes on, filled with excitement and struggle, hopes and dreams.

My Dream Life

I knew all the people in the world certainly want to be a better life. And I think that one man's idea of a better life will be entirely different from another man's. It's hard to decide what makes a better life, for we cannot agree on a definition of better life that is acceptable to all. But for me, there are five factors in my dream life that I need.

First I think my family. Because family is a necessary part of a person's life. My parents are very kind people. They tried to do everything for me to be a good person. They look after me and gave education to me. I'm very happy, warm when I live together with my family.

Then I need a good health. Health is very importance in our lives. Because it can make us: good feeling, happy and can do another working that we want. For my health I always eat good food, do exercise very morning and some time I play sports with my friends. As the saying goes "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy".

And after that is Education. It's very good for the people. Certainly all children must to study at school because for to be a good person in society. At university, if I know clearly about skill in my subject I can find a good job and get high salaries.

In our lives we always communicate with another people, usually with our friends. So, I need a lot of good friends. When I am with my friends, I feel free and easy. I can say or do almost anything I like without fear of reproach or embarrassment. This is because we understand one another very well. Good friend that I choose is kind, friendly and can help me when I am in a problem. Because when I have good friends I don't think that I live alone.

At the end I think a good society. I want to live in a society that has peace justice and especially development. It means that when I live in a good society I certain to be very good in my life and I think it's good for another people, too.

So, for all these I think it good enough for me to be a better life. And I hope that I will have everything that I want.
