MALadjusted

Update:

As you may, or may not have noticed, I haven't posted any new blogs lately. I've been getting ready to move to CA, so it may be a little while before I post the next one.

It's been really hectic lately. Everything has come together within the past 2 weeks, so I've been going non-stop.

I'm ready for the next chapter in my life. I've always told people I'd end up on the west coast one day. It's my dream... It's also bittersweet. I've called this place home for the past 15 years. Life is to be lived, not dreamt about. I've never allowed anyone or anything to hold me back from what I really want. Some people choose to chase dreams. I would rather catch them. As everyone should.

At one point or another, I've risked just about everything due to "dream catching". Jobs, relationships, security...I've always managed to pull through. 90% of the time, we worry about things that never happen. We over analyze and criticize ourselves. I've learned to stop myself when I do these things. "In order to be successful, one must project an image of success". A quote from my favorite movie, American Beauty. It works.

Major Poof Pony

2012-05-10T09:16:00.001-07:00

I'm always searching for new retro hairstyles to try out. It's difficult when you have super long hair. I created a deep side part, then used a claw clip to grab the long side. I dragged it up, allowing the hair to puff out. I then fastened it in place. I pulled the rest of my hair into a high ponytail.

Exhausted, and I have to wake up super early tomorrow for a seminar...I couldn't help myself though... I had to bake white cupcakes with maraschino cherry centers and cotton candy flavored icing with blue crystalized sprinkles. :/

Mom's Closet

2012-04-29T12:43:00.001-07:00

Ever play dress in your mother's closet when you were little? My mother always had amazing style. She dressed with the times, and even modeled. I found clothing of hers from the 1970s-80s. I remember her getting dressed when I was little and thinking "Someday, I want to be pretty just like her". Unfortunately, the pants didn't fit. They're satin with rhinestones along the back and sides.

If The Shoe Fits...

Every little girl has a favorite pair of her mothers shoes. Shoes you take from her closet, and get in trouble for wearing. These are mine. They finally fit.

Updates:

2012-04-10T16:05:00.001-07:00

Life has been pretty hectic as of late. Work is booming, I've been helping family out, and then I have my own projects.

I had my first reiki attunement last month. My second is coming up within the next couple of weeks. After that, I'll be working on starting my business. I've also found an organization that will give me the advice I'll need to get started. In May, I have a seminar I'll be attending regarding stress and the body. So far, everything is moving in the right direction.

I decided NOT to go to makeup artistry classes. The school I would have gone to is a POS, and I don't feel comfortable giving them my money. They are unprofessional, and I don't trust that they'll give me the education I expect. I already know what I'm doing. A certificate won't make or break me.

Other than the past couple of weeks, I've been making sure to get cardio in. If I have time, this summer I may do some photoshoots. I haven't decided yet. I'm very picky about who I work with. I believe in quality over quantity.

Besides that, as you know, I've been getting my leg worked on. Now that I've gotten it started, I'm thinking of other tattoos I want to re-vamp. It's addicting.

I'm sure there's more I've forgotten to mention. No worries.

Painting the Roses Red

2012-04-04T03:38:00.001-07:00

I've had a large tattoo of roses the length of my thigh for a long time now. The person who did it (and will remain nameless) didn't do it the way I wanted, the shading was wrong, and also never finished it. I finally went to Hope Gallery and had Phil Young start fixing it. He worked on 2 of the 3 roses. The petals and wind bars still need to be done. So far, amazing.

These amazing Jeffrey Campball Night Litas just came in the mail! They have a black leather version, but since I don't buy leather anymore, I chose these. They're super easy to walk in, and compliment any outfit! I can't wait to wear them out...

Update:

2012-02-29T07:02:00.001-08:00

I Haven't written an informative blog in a while. A lot of my time has been focused on organizing a plan for my present goals. I've been having issues with my MUA classes. There are very few schools to choose from. I don't need the formal training, but I'd like to have it. Also, I've set up training classes for Reiki, and need to start researching Reflexology.

I feel that now is the time when people need positivity in their lives the most. The universe is coming to a plateu, and we need to be grounded and purified.

I'm ready to move on to the next step in my life. I feel that everyone is on some sort of path, and it is our duty to follow it. Never be afraid to move into the unknown. Fear keeps us from manifesting our destiny. We fear the unknown because we have no expectations. Sometimes we need to just let go. Keep in mind that everything happens for a reason. Change is good. Without it, we would have nothing to look forward to, or learn from. Follow your instincts. It will become second nature. Never question your feelings. They're there for a reason.
