HOW I KEEP MY ( PERSONAL) MAKEUP BRUSHES CLEAN

I love my brushes and I really take good care of them. I spot clean them everyday after I use them and I also wash and condition them couple times a month. I wash my eyeliner brushes every week! Just because your eyes are sensitive and you do not want germs to irritate your eyes especially when you are tight-lining your eyes. You should always spot clean your eyeliner brush that you are using before and after application, to me that's very important.

THESE ARE THE PRODUCTS I USE :

* Neutrogena eye makeup remover lotion

* Johnson's natural kids 3 in 1 shampoo, conditioner and body wash

* Alcohol

* Almay eye make up remover

* Philosophy milk purity face cleanser

* MAC face cleansing oil ( in a different container because I don't like the container it comes in and it is so much easier with the spray pump so I can spot clean my brushes)

* Paper towel or a cotton cloth / towel

* Cotton face pads

* small plastic / glass container

FACE BRUSHES

I use Philosophy Milk Purity to clean my face brushes just because I want to use the same line of cleanser on my brushes that I use to clean my face. I use the foaming Philosophy Purity on my face and I absolutely love it ! I Pour a little bit of Philosophy Milk Purity into a glass round container and add some water and put my face brushes in and let them sit there for 5 minutes and after dump the water out and add more Philosophy Milk Purity and this time go back and forth with the brushes inside the container and wash it off well with warm water and dry it off with a cotton towel or paper towel and then spray some Alcohol on piece of paper towel and lightly brush the tops of the brushes on that paper towel so that way it kills whatever bacteria is left on that brush. Alcohol is so strong that it doesn't work well with makeup brushes especially natural hair makeup brushes so like I said you want to lightly brush the tops of the makeup brushes. If you have all Synthetic makeup brushes then GREAT because they are so easy to take care of and Alcohol doesn't damage them as much.

EYES/ EYELINER BRUSHES

I use the MAC Face Cleansing Oil to spot clean my eye / eyeliner brushes before and after I use them but I also wash my eye / eyeliner brushes with the MAC Face Cleansing Oil , I pour a little bit into a round glass container filled with water and go back and forth with the brushes inside until all the eye makeup residue is gone and then wash them off with warm water and pour a little bit of Almay eye makeup remover or Neutrogena eye makeup remover lotion onto a paper towel or cotton pad and go back and forth with the the brushes and make sure all the eye makeup is off of the brushes and then wash them off well with Johnson's natural kids 3 in 1, This always leaves my eye / eyeliner brushes so clean and fresh!

I let my brushes dry half way on top of paper towels ( so its easy just to throw the paper towels away afterwards ) and then I transfer them into a Utensil holder that has holes on the bottom so that way the water can evaporate from the brushes ( make sure you turn the brushes up side down ) and you want to also place a piece of paper towel under the Utensil holder just incase there is excess water. I also use this Utensil holder as my makeup brush holder as well because you can also turn it around and around and it so easy to use.

SO CLEAN THAT IT LOOKS NEW.

YES, I USE A UTENSIL HOLDER FOR MY MAKEUP BRUSHES!

HOLES ON THE BOTTOM MAKES IT EASY FOR THE BRUSHES TO DRY QUICK.

TURN THE BRUSHES UP SIDE DOWN WHEN DRYING AND PLACE A PAPER TOWEL UNDER THE UTENSIL HOLDER.

I use to paint my nails and mess them up and end up having to do them all over again ...ughhh don't you just hate that? Couple of months ago I stumbled across Quick-E nail polish drying drops by Essie and I thought maybe I should try it and see if it really stands up to its name. And guess what?

I LOVE IT !!!!!

I also partner this up with Seche Vite ( dry fast top coat ) just because I love the way it makes my nails look so shiny and clean !

So I am 26 now ?? Yea, I still have a hard time taking it in.
I had such a beautiful birthday with my family and my father. It was just perfect !!!!!

Then I had so much fun at CHANEL school . I truly love my job and what I do. It's actually more like a hobby to me!
Just to let you all know we have a lot of great new products coming out this fall and I am so excited ! One thing that I did want to talk about is our new foundation. CHANEL never really had a wide selection of colors especially for women of color. The few dark colors they did have were discontinued a couple of months ago for the sole purpose of coming out with a vast array of colors this fall September 2011 with a better formula for darker complexions and all skin types. FINALLY !!!!! I am so happy .... Sometimes I have a very hard time finding the perfect color match for my clients and I have to slowly break it down to them that CHANEL does not carry their color. It's sad because sometimes I end up losing that client for good. The new foundation is called " PERFECTION LUMIERE " I gotta say its the PERFECT name for such a PERFECT foundation. I had the opportunity to try this foundation at school and I was blown away by the texture and the variety of colors. I did a little too much beauty shopping for my birthday, got some of my old favorites and also got some new products that I have been wanting to try.

TOM FORD " BLACK ORCHID " I wanted to try this for a long time but I thought it was way to strong for me but I finally got it and thought I would wear it this fall. Its not a summer scent at all. very overpowering !!!! I do love the name though. I love Orchids !

This actually came out recently and I instantly wanted it just because I have DKNY be delicious blossom which I love and I also have DKNY be delicious the original green apple and I thought why not DKNY Golden be delicious. Such a beautiful & fresh scent the only downside is that it doesn't last a long time . I hate when you get a perfume that you really like and it doesn't last a long time.

I was walking around swatching colors and fell in love with Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil in the color " FLIPSIDE " and Stila eyeshadow in the color " KITTEN ". I heard so much about this eyeshadow that I finally got it. Im not a big Stila fan at all but the color is such a beautiful highlight color. STILA YOU WIN OK, GEEZ !!!!!!

My Aunt, uncle and cousin took me to this beautiful garden called the " Royal Botanic Gardens " and it was amazing. a huge huge huge garden with loads of different types of flowers and a huge Orchid green house filled with different types of orchids.

1)Laura Geller eye Spackle as my primer

(all over the lid)

2)lightest eyeshadow color Phloof by MAC on the inner corner of my lid and under my crease

3) Minted kohl MAC eyeliner to cut my crease ( in other words : I lined my crease )

4) Waternymph eyeshadow by MAC to blend the crease and to give it more of that aqua color

5) I took the Phloof eyeshadow to highlight right under my eyebrows

6) Lined my eyes

7) Mascara -------- Ready to go !!!!

Two of my favorite colors from CHANEL for the summer time is " Orange Fizz " & " Nouvelle Vague " and these two colors are very hard to find. " Orange Fizz " is from the summer 2009 collection and it was repromoted a couple of times and you can still find this color at most locations but near the spring /summer time it's very hard to find. So if you see one - get you hands on one of them. " Nouvelle Vague " is from the summer 2010 collection and it was available the first couple of days and was sold out everywhere right away. So if you got one - good for you!

I found great dupes for these two CHANEL colors. Essie " Turquoise & Caicos " is similar to " Nouvelle Vague " and Essie " Tart Deco " is similar to " Orange Fizz "

I love wearing tons and tons of bracelets on my wrist. I always wear black to work so its nice to have a little bit of color on my wrist. I am so addicted to Michael Kors watches. This Rose Gold one is a recent purchase , too bad its not ceramic ! I love my ceramic ones they never get scratched up and they look brand new all the time. I got this one at Bloomingdales but I guess you can also find this at the Michael Kors store as well. Rose Gold is a fun color for the summer time so go for it ..... they have plenty of different styles. I went with this one because I don't have any square watches and it also reminds me of this old gold square watch my dad use to wear when I was young. " Hands Up " ladies and have some fun !

This moisturizer is the only moisturizer that works for me now .....I love it so much I have plenty of backups just incase. At school I heard people saying it might be discontinued so I went crazy and got myself couple of jars. I really hope Chanel does not get rid of this product because it took me a while to find a face moisturizer that really works for me ....I rarely get breakouts now and my face is so super silky soft . It's the best! You must try this ..... People told me to stay away from this moisturizer because I have very oily skin and most rich creams do not work well with oily skin types but u know what it works fine for me and Im sticking to it!

8* Speaking of #45 Safari eyeshadow by CHANEL lol its one of my june picks also because I just love taupey colors especially when Im doing a smokey eye look or its also perfect for a everyday one color look.

9* Glossimer AURORE #287 by CHANEL - Intense frost and shine for lips . This is a coral/ peach color with gold frost/ shimmer . It looks great when worn alone or on top of other coral or peach color lipsticks. great gloss for the summertime .... it's the perfect summertime color!

10 * LOREAL VOLUMINOUS CARBON BLACK MASCARA - Can I just say
'' WOW " for a drugstore mascara this is crazy great! Let me just tell you I have many many high end mascaras and somehow this one beats most of them. It looks like I have false lashes on when I wear this mascara and I always get compliments. It doesn't clump up and look cheap at all like most drugstore mascaras. Its the perfect Mascara for me and I think I will be using this mascara all summer long! Another mascara I do wear other than this is DIOR SHOW BLACK OUT mascara which is great as well.

11* NARS TAOS BLUSH - Desert rose with shimmer (Designed to be worn alone or layered together for more depth, NARS Blush provides a healthy glow to flatter any skintone) I use this blush whenever I wear a simple eye look or no eyeshadow at all.... It really does the trick and make you GLOW !!!! Perfect when paired with pink / coral color lipsticks .

YUP...I FINALLY DID IT!!! LOL I FINALLY CUT MY HAIR ....I HAVEN'T HAD SHORT HAIR SINCE I WAS 7 YEARS OLD!!!! I LOVE IT!! IT'S SO EASY TO MAINTAIN .....AHHH I FEEL FREE!!! LOL THIS PIC WAS TAKEN LAST SUNDAY ...A DAY AFTER I CUT MY HAIR ...HAD FUN WITH THE GIRLS ON SUNDAY!!!! SO LONG...LONG HAIR..!!!!

So Im sitting here watching the Redskins game ...and thinking to myself " please let us win this time".

I wish Sean Taylor was still here...R.I.P . I love the Redskins and everything but ever since we lost Sean Taylor it just doesn't feel the same..If I feel this way about Sean Taylor ...oh my gosh I cant imagine the pain his family is going through.
