Music superstars Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, have been thrilling crowds this summer with their “Brothers of the Sun Tour.”
One of the hottest tickets this summer, and adding a 9th consecutive tour to Chesney’s career selling 1 million tickets, brings in LOTS of fans. But this summer, Kenny and Tim have country singer, Jake Owen with them but in between a Barefoot Blue Jean night and Live like you were Dying, is something genius, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.
Grace, who had never met Kenny Chesney until 2 years ago when he called her out of the blue and asked her to record a single from his Hemingway’s Whiskey album, You and Tequila. “Within the first three words of the song, I was in love,” Grace says. “A couple of days later, I flew down to Nashville, and the rest is history.”
Kenny followed up You and Tequila with another Grace Potter duet on his new album, Welcome to the Fishbowl, titled El Cerrito Place.
What does Grace think about the reception this summer touring as “The little Sister of the Sun, “Overall it’s positive, but I do think there’s a lot of baffled people,” Grace says. “I look on some people’s faces and there’s a look of utter confusion. And I look on other people’s faces and there’s pure joy and they’re dancing around like crazy.”

When actress Gillian Anderson landed the role of Agent Scully for the Fox television series X-Files (1993- ) she could not have foreseen that within two years she would become an internationally known cult phenomenon. She was born in Chicago, but moved to London at age two and remained there until she was in her early teens. She and her family then moved to Grand Rapids, MI, where she rebelliously got heavily into the punk rock scene complete with spiky, brilliantly colored hair and body piercings with safety pins. When she was 14, she became romantically involved with a 20-year-old punk singer and occasionally sang in his band. Her punk period lasted through high school. Following graduation, she got involved in local theater and from there studied fine arts at the Goodman Theater School of Drama at Chicago's DePaul University. Following graduation, she moved to New York where she waited tables and appeared in off-Broadway plays, most notably in +Absent Friends, in which she had a starring role that won her a Theater World Award. Anderson made her film debut in 1992 with the low-budget drama The_Turning. She then appeared in a theatrical production of +The Philanthropist and after that moved to Los Angeles. Though she was frequently courted for television roles, Anderson disdained the medium until the X-Files audition came along. Though the producers were looking for a brainy version of a Baywatch girl, the beautiful but more natural looking (having long passed her outrageous days) Anderson got the role thanks to the insistence of the show's creator Chris_Carter. The show became a smash hit within two seasons and Anderson found herself an international star, as did her co-star David_Duchovny, the subject of numerous pages on the Internet, and the recipient of such awards as a Golden Globe, an Emmy, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. In addition to continuing work on the X-Files, Anderson hosted a couple of television specials, including More Secrets of the X-Files and the BBC documentary series Future Fantastic. She also lent her voice as a documentary narrator on Spies_Above and as animated characters on shows like The_Simpsons and Reboot and films like the English version of Princess Mononoke.

Moving from theater into TV and film in the early '80s, Kaczmarek revealed her aptitude for both comedy, in such TV movies as Door to Door (1984), and drama, with recurring guest parts on St. Elsewhere in 1983 and Hill Street Blues in 1984, as well as a small role in the ground-breaking TV film There's Something About Amelia (1984). As a testament to her acting chops, Kaczmarek earned her first starring film role as Robert De Niro's wronged wife in the De Niro/Meryl Streep romance Falling in Love (1984). Kaczmarek was back to comedy with the ill-received fantasy The Heavenly Kid (1985) and the Judge Reinhold age-switch romp Vice Versa (1988). After she married fellow actor Bradley Whitford in 1992, Kaczmarek starred in the TV movie Without Warning (1994) and nabbed multi-episode guest-starring parts in several TV series, including Party of Five and Cybill in 1996. Following a small role as Tobey Maguire and Reese Witherspoon's mother in the reflexive fantasy Pleasantville (1998), Kaczmarek was ready to settle down to raise her family. Rihanna filed a lawsuit earlier today in a Manhattan federal court against her former New York accounts claiming that tens of millions of dollars were mishandled by her financial advisers. Rihanna is seeking unspecified damages against New York-based Berdon LLP as well as two other accountants, according to Fox News. A Berdon rep apparently was not prepared to comment on the lawsuit for the time being.
Rihanna hired Berdon LLP in 2005 when she launched her career from Barbados at the age of 16 in order to provide accounting and financial management services, but the her 2009 tour was a fiscal disaster in spite of its success, and the singer’s suit claims that her financial losses are due to Berdon’s misconduct and malfeasance.
According to Rihanna’s lawyers, Berdon’s accountants earned commissions based on the singer’s earnings in a manner that was not only unusual but “exorbitant and expensive” and withheld details of her finances.
