I've always been against shock collars, I think they're inhumane and you can't convince me otherwise. I have friends who use them and they work great but I would rather deal with a little disobedience than shock my dog. Plus, there are many other training tools out there that work just as well like the Ultrasonic Dog Trainer by Modus.

The Ultrasonic Dog Trainer works by using an ultrasonic tone that humans can't hear but dogs can and it help to deter barking and other unwanted behavior. But does it work? Yes, it definitely works! However, barking is how dogs communicate so this is not a tool that should be used every time your dog barks. For instance, our female Pit Bull, Karley will bark continuously when we have guests over because she wants to be the center of attention and wants everyone to pet her and love on her. As soon as someone stops petting her or giving her love she starts barking. While it might be cute on some occasions it can be really annoying when you are trying to carry on a conversation.

Ultrasonic Dog Trainer to the rescue! Karley hates the Ultrasonic Dog Trainer! We've really only had to use it a few times because now if she even sees it she will stop barking. It's a great tool for her and has really helped curb her barking when we have guests over. However, it doesn't work as well on our male Chocolate Lab, Kramer. Kramer doesn't react to it the way that Karley does. He will eventually stop barking but not as quick as Karley. So, I think it just depends on how sensitive your dog is to sounds. I think it's definitely worth a try if you are looking to change some of your dogs behavior. Plus, it's a much better option than a shock collar!

Obviously, it won't work if your dog has hearing problems and it should never be used on dogs under 6 months old.

We've all become accustom to reaching for a Advil or Aleve when we have a headache or any other ache or pain. Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil is one of my favorite oils and is one that I consider a staple for any Essential Oil arsenal. It's a favorite because there are so many uses for it!

I keep a bottle on my desk for those times when I'm feeling a little stressed and need a little pick me up, I just inhale or massage a couple drops onto my wrists and I almost instantly feel better. I also use Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil to help fight off sugar cravings. I just add a few drops to my water when I feel a craving coming on and it defintely helps ease those thoughts of sugary sweets that are running through my head!

Here are just a few other ways I use my Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil by Gya Labs:

1) Mix a few drops into Coconut Oil and massage into the back of the neck and shoulders to help relieve stress.

2) Mix a few drops with Jojoba Oil and use to treat blemishes.

3) Diffuse in home or office to eliminate unwanted odors.

4) Make your own household cleaner! It works as a natural antibacterial agent and it smells good! Just put several drops in a spray bottle with some water and voilà you have a custom made cleaner!

5) Helps ease the symptoms of a hangover.

There are many other ways to use Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil, probably some that I haven't even thought of! My favorite perfumes have always been those with a base note of Vanilla. Anything too floral always smells amazing at first but then it usually becomes overpowering and I end up with a headache so I have to be fairly picky about what I wear for perfume. Finally, this Buttercream Frosting Roll-On Perfume by Jaqua came into my life and it's just so good. I'm actually starting to think that it was made specifically for me and I just can't get enough of it! It smells like a cupcake but it's not too sweet, it has a hint of Banana and just the slightest bit of floral. It's smells perfectly amazing! Wearing this, someone is bound to ask you what you have on because it just smells THAT good!

I honestly don't usually wear perfume too much but when I do I prefer to go with something made from Natural Oils and in Roller Ball form, just like this Buttercream Frosting one. I literally have about four or five different ones in my handbag right now. I actually use them more for Aromatherapy. Depending on my mood I just roll one on and I can instantly feel better or the smell can just take me away for a moment. Since I've had this Buttercream Frosting Perfume I have been putting it on every morning without fail because I LOVE the smell it instantly puts me in a good mood!

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. For me Fall means cozy sweaters, cute boots, comfort food and unfortunately it also means cold and flu season. I always try to amp up the intake of the usual Vitamin C, Astragalus and Echinacea and some years I even get a flu shot to help prevent getting sick but inevitably I usually end up with some sort of nasty virus. Unfortunately, this Fall is not off to a good start because I have already been the victim of a really bad cold. Sometimes no matter what I do in the way of prevention those little germs find their way in.

Thankfully, I have a arsenal of Essential Oils to help combat every cold and flu symptom you can think of and Oregano Oil, Tea Tree Oil and especially Ginger Oil are of my favorites!

Ginger Oil can actually be used to treat all sorts of things from nausea and menstrual cramps to infections. It's also a great Essential Oil for treating respiratory issues. It literally helps remove mucus from the throat and lungs so when I have a cold Ginger Oil is a "Must Have". To help with congestion I like to make a pillow spray using distilled water and several drops of Ginger Oil and give my pillows a good spray right before bed.

Since Ginger Oil also helps with inflammation so I use it to help with my muscle and joint pain, especially on my neck and upper back areas. I rub in 2-3 drops a couple times of day and it really helps to alleviate the aches and pains and no pills required!

Another great use of Ginger Oil is Aromatherapy. It's known as "the oil of empowerment" since it brings a sense of self-assurance and courageousness and serenity and it's one of my favorite oils to diffuse at bedtime.

So, if you don't have Ginger Oil in your Essential Oil arsenal then I highly recommend you add it! My personal favorite is the Ginger Oil by Gya Labs and you can find it on Amazon for under $10!

I use Essential Oils every day, several times throughout the day! In fact, I'm taking a class on Essential Oils just so I can be a bit more knowledgeable in the Essential Oil department. Needless to say, I'm a bit obsessed and always on the hunt for the best of the best since not all Essential Oils are created equal.

I just recently discovered Essential Oils by Gya Labs and they very kindly sent me their Myrrh Essential Oil to try out! Most people are familiar with Myrrh since it was one of the gifts that the Three Wise Men brought baby Jesus. It's basically a gum resin that is obtained from certain trees and made into an essential oil and is used in medicines, perfumes and incense.

Myrrh is one of my favorite Essential Oils to have around during the cold and flu season. I keep a bottle on my desk when I get to feeling a little under the weather. I just take a few sniffs throughout the day and the unique scent really helps take the edge off cold and flu symptoms. It also has antibacterial, antifungal benefits so I love mixing it with a carrier oil like Jojoba Oil and applying it to any affected area and it really helps expedite the healing process. I will also apply a mixture of Myrrh Oil & Jojoba Oil to my chest and neck if I get a particularly bad cold to help ease symptoms on a deeper level.

Myrrh Essential Oils has many uses and benefits and it's a great one to have in any Essential Oil collection! This Myrrh Essential Oil by Gya Labs is excellent quality and I would highly recommend it!

Current Favorite Supplements - Including Keto by Design Created by God, LLC

I take a variety of supplements on a regular basis and I like to switch them out every few weeks or so. Currently, one of my favorites is the Keto by Design supplement. I have heard great things about the Keto diet and I tried myself diligently for several weeks but I was not able to get enough fat in my diet on a daily basis to meet the diet criteria. However, I know a lot of people who have had great success.

So, I will be honest. I approached testing out this new CelluliTx by Jan Marini the same as I have with all of the other cellulite creams that I've tried. With lots of doubt. For the most part I feel like I've actually had pretty good results with other creams that I've tried but it was only because I was able to achieve a smoother skin appearance which just made the cellulite less noticeable...but it was and still is really there. I've always said there is no magic cream that is going to get rid of cellulite but after using this CelluliTx by Jan Marini for the last month my opinion has changed! :)

I wish I would have been brave enough to take a before picture of the back of my thighs but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I will be the first to admit that I am one of those dog owners that isn't the best at disciplining my dogs. I don't know about your furbabies but mine are kinda ruff...I mean rough...on their collars. I usually end up getting mine a new one every year and I'm always on the lookout for new designs and colors. For my silver Pitbull, Karley, I always look for something with pink because it looks so cute with her silver fur. For our Chocolate Lab, Kramer, I usually look for something more along the lines of Camo!

I was so excited that PetTastic offered to send me this adorable Pink collar for Karley! You can find it on Amazon and it is by far my favorite collar that I have ever had for Karley. The various shades of Pink, Silver and hints of blue look so beautiful next to her silver fur. I also like that this collar is a little wider than any of the other collars that I have ever purchased for her. It's like this collar was just meant for my sweet nugget!

I purchased a size Large for Karley since she's a Pitbull and she has a wider neck. The Large size fits a neck of length 18"-26", size Medium will fit neck length 14.5"-20" and the size small will fit a neck length 12"-16". So, I realize that a headlamp might be an odd thing for me to be talking about on my blog. However, not only am I into beauty and skincare but if you follow my Instagram page then you also know that I am also a huge outdoor enthusiast. So really a headlamp is right up my alley!

I think in general Masks have become a little bit of an obsession for even just the average person, especially over the last couple of years. However, I've been on the mask bandwagon since I was a teenager (I'm now almost 45) so taking care of my skin by using a mask is nothing new to me. However, I am always on the hunt for something new to test out which is where being a beauty blogger comes in handy!

I love getting sent new masks to try out and the lovely peeps over at Masked Beauty Skincare were nice enough to send me over a couple to test out. I received the Purifying Charcoal & Diamond Mask and the Exfoliating Coffee & Chocolate Mask but they have a total of six to choose from which include a Toning Red Clay, Overnight Pistachio, Moisturizing Ginkgo & Oat and a Soothing Rose & Peony.

The Masked Beauty philosophy is "Premium facial masks with real ingredients you can see, feel and smell." and I couldn't agree more! The Exfoliating Coffee & Chocolate Mask smells good enough to eat and the Purifying Charcoal & Diamond Mask had a nice earthy smell and they both leave skin feeling rejuvenated.

The Purifying Charcoal & Diamond Mask was a little different than other Charcoal Masks that I've tried. Usually Charcoal Masks are fairly intense and somewhat drying but this one has a completely different texture to it. It's much softer and easier on the skin. It still does a great job at purifying the skin but it also leaves skin feeling extra soft and hydrated and that's after just one use! It's a really nice change from the typical Charcoal Mask and I give it two thumbs up!

The first thing you notice about the Exfoliating Coffee & Chocolate Mask is the smell and it's smells amazing. But, I guess if you don't like the smell of coffee or chocolate then you might think it's not so amazing...but really, who doesn't? I liked it so much I think it actually made me hungry! This mask also surprised me. For some reason I wasn't expecting it to be so moisturizing. Not only does it do a good job at exfoliating but it does a really impressive job at hydrating the skin as well. Immediately after rinsing off the mask my skin felt refreshed, soft, smooth and hydrated. This mask also gets two thumbs up from me!
