INFJs will find themselves more sought after than they’d ever care to be, making it even more difficult for them to find someone they truly have an affinity with. Really the only way to be counted among INFJs’ true friends is to be authentic, and to have that authenticity naturally reflect their own.

Once a common thread is found though, people with the INFJ personality type make loyal and supportive companions, encouraging growth and life-enriching experiences with warmth, excitement and care. As trust grows, INFJs will share more of what lies beneath the surface, and if those ideas and motives are mutual, it’s the sort of friendship that will transcend time and distance, lasting a lifetime. INFJs don’t require a great deal of day-to-day attention – for them, quality trumps quantity every time, and over the years they will likely end up with just a few true friendships, built on a richness of mutual understanding that forges an indelible link between them.

INFJ PARENTS

As parents INFJs, much as in their friendships, will tend to look at their relationships with their children as opportunities to learn and grow with someone they care about, while working to achieve a distinctly separate but important goal – raising someone to be an independent, responsible and principled adult. People with the INFJ personality type are unflinching in their devotion to their children, willing to grin and bear any burden without hesitation. The highest goal for INFJ parents is for their child’s choices and beliefs to culminate in a cause that they are able to act on, contributing to the world around them.

If all this independence is taken to heart, it can cause some trouble for INFJ parents though, as their children move into the naturally rebellious phase of adolescence. If INFJs’ children take a contrarian approach, adopting beliefs that violate their parents’ own well-developed principles, INFJs are likely to feel like their children are pointing out their flaws by following another path, a hurtful thing to such a sensitive personality type.

A Job Well Done

Ultimately though, INFJ parents will realize that these conflicting beliefs aren’t a sign of their failure, but of their success in raising someone who did indeed learn to form their own ideals. As they mature, INFJs’ children will also come to appreciate the combination of independence and personal responsibility they were raised with. So long as their child grows up with a firm understanding of the difference between right and wrong and is able to fight for a cause they believe in, striving to be the best they can be, INFJ parents will be satisfied with what they’ve accomplished together with their child.

INFJ CAREERS

INFJs are likely to find that most corporate career paths are not designed for them, but for those focused on status and material gain. This doesn’t mean that people with the INFJ personality type struggle to see viable options though. In fact, they are likely to face the opposite problem – many INFJs struggle to begin a career early on because they see ten wildly different paths forward, each with its own intrinsic rewards, alluring but also heartbreaking, because each means abandoning so much else.

This desire to help and connect makes careers in healthcare, especially the more holistic varieties, very rewarding for INFJs – roles as counselors, psychologists, doctors, life coaches and spiritual guides are all attractive options.

INFJs’ needs don’t end at meaning though – any productive work can be rationalized to be meaningful, as any productive work helps someone, somewhere. INFJs crave creativity too, the ability to use their insight to connect events and situations, effecting real change in others’ lives personally.

For INFJs, money and Employee of the Month simply won’t cut it compared to living their values and principles.

Two Roads Diverged in a Yellowed Wood

These needs are hard to meet in a corporate structure, where INFJs will be forced to manage someone else’s policies alongside their own. For this reason, people with the INFJ personality type are more likely to, despite their aversion to controlling others, establish their independence by either finding a leadership position, or simply starting their own practice. As independents, sole proprietors in the parlance of business, INFJs are free to follow their hearts, applying their personal touch, creativity and altruism to everything they do.

This is the most rewarding option for INFJs, as they will step out of the overly humble supporting and noncompetitive roles they are often drawn to, and into positions where they can grow and make a difference. INFJs often pursue expressive careers such as writing, elegant communicators that they are, and author many popular blogs, stories and screenplays. Music, photography, design and art are viable options too, and they all can focus on deeper themes of personal growth, morality and spirituality.

Where INFJs fall flat is in work focusing on impersonal concerns, mundanity, and high-profile conflict. Accounting and auditing, data analysis and routine work will leave people with the INFJ personality type fidgety and unfulfilled, and they will simply wilt under the scrutiny, criticism and pressure of courtroom prosecution and defense, corporate politics and cold-call sales. INFJs are clever, and can function in any of these fields, but to be truly happy, they need to be able to exercise their insightfulness and independence, learn and grow alongside the people they are helping, and contribute to the well-being of humanity on a personal level.

INFJ IN THE WORKPLACE

INFJs have pretty tall demands when it comes to a satisfying work environment. Not only does this personality type need to be able to express their creativity and insight, INFJs need to know that what they are doing has meaning, helps people, leads to personal growth and, all the while, is in line with their values, principles and beliefs.

Oftentimes the best way for INFJs to achieve this is to not have to answer to others’ rules at all – to be their own boss, neither above nor below anyone else, just directly interacting with the people and ideas that are important to them. All that being said, INFJs are a clever and inspired group, and with a few of the right conditions, most any position can be made to work.

INFJ Subordinates

As subordinates, INFJs are likely to chafe under hardline rules, formal hierarchies and routine tasks. People with the INFJ personality type value diplomacy and sensitivity, and the more democratic and personal their manager’s style is, and the more they feel their independence and input are valued, the happier they’ll be. INFJs act on their convictions, so when they do something, it’s something that has meaning to them – if those actions come under criticism, even justified complaints, but especially unwarranted ones, their morale is likely to tank spectacularly.

A manager’s values need to be naturally aligned with their INFJ subordinates for both parties to be most effective. Though usually idealistic, if they feel in conflict, INFJs can lose touch with that sense and end up all too bitter. But if it’s a balance they can handle, with a little encouragement every now and then, INFJs will be hardworking, trustworthy, and more than capable of handling their responsibilities and professional relationships.

INFJ Colleagues

As colleagues, INFJs are likely to become quite popular, being seen as positive, eloquent and capable friends, identifying others’ motives and defusing conflicts and tension before anyone else even senses a disturbance. INFJs are likely to prioritize harmony and cooperation over ruthless efficiency, encouraging a good, hardworking atmosphere and helping others when needed. While this is usually a strength, there is a risk that others will take advantage of INFJs’ commitment to their responsibilities by simply shifting their burdens onto their more dedicated INFJ colleagues’ desks.

It should also be remembered that at the end of the day, INFJs are still Introverts (I), and their popularity isn’t always welcome – they will need to step back and act the lone wolf from time to time, pursuing their own goals in their own ways. An unhealthy version of this tendency may pop up if INFJs sense that their values are being compromised by a more ethically relaxed colleague.

INFJ Managers

As managers, INFJs are often reluctant in exercising their authority, preferring to see their subordinates as equals, coordinating and supervising people, leaving the technical systems and factual details to more capable hands, and working hard to inspire and motivate, not to crack the whip. That’s not to say that people with the INFJ personality type have lax standards – far from it – as INFJs’ sense of equality means that they expect their subordinates to be as competent, motivated and reliable as the INFJs themselves.

Though sensitive, understanding, principled and just, able to appreciate individual styles and to make accurate judgments about others’ motivations, if a subordinate’s actions or attitude undermines INFJs’ ethics or values, they will find little comfort in these qualities. INFJs have no tolerance for lapses in reliability or morality. But, so long as no such lapse occurs, INFJs will work tirelessly to ensure that their subordinates feel valued and happy.

INFJ PERSONALITY – CONCLUSION

Few personality types are as sensitive and mysterious as INFJs. Your imagination and empathy make you someone who not only cherishes their integrity and deeply held principles but, unlike many other idealistic types, is also capable of turning those ideals into plans, and executing them.

Motor Trader Android Apps update?

I just received an email from Motor Trader regarding my Google Play review for their Android Apps back in Jun 2014.

Now, it's 2016 already.

That's "fast"...

It's so long until I could not even recall that I wrote a review for that...

Poor After-Sale Service from one of the Daikin resellers in SS2, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia - Hashtag Bookmark SDN. BHD.

As of 3 pm 20th Jan 2016,

Called Daikin contact centre to make a complaint on this Hashtag Bookmark Sdn. Bhd. company.

Only got to know that this shop is not an authorized Daikin dealer but the shop owner bought the air-conditioners from Daikin dealer - Global wide? Global Lite? and then sold to me.

Since the shop is not a dealer, I believe there is nothing much Daikin can do to the shop but the Daikin personnel, Ms. Ain promised to call the shop owner, Mr. Ding and mentioned to him about my complaint.

Later, she called back and told me that Mr. Ding would contact me after this.

She said Mr. Ding would contact his contractor again to make arrangement to fix the leakage problem in both air-conditioners.

What a bad experience... this kind of after-sale service from a Daikin dealer... nope, not a Daikin dealer...

This will just tarnish the good image of Daikin if Daikin allowed its dealers to simply sell the products to other shops/resellers, who may not be giving good service to their buyers!

As of 5.10 pm 20th Jan 2016,

My phone was not ringing.

There was no sign of Mr. Ding calling me.

I called back Ms. Ain.

I asked her whether Mr. Ding promised to call me today or what.

She said Mr. Ding told her that he would call me.

Then, she said she would call Mr. Ding again.

At the same time, I asked her how come Daikin dealer could simply sell Daikin products to an unauthorized shop/reseller.

She said she would follow up on that with the Daikin dealer.

Around 5.20 pm 20th Jan 2016, the contractor finally called me back.

He said his staff would be coming around 6 something in the evening.

Not long after that around 5.40 pm, his staff called me and told me that he would only come around one hour time later after picking up something from SS2 and travel to my place.

His staff asked me, "I heard your both your air-conditioners are having issue. What is the issue?"

*SWEAT*

His boss never told him what the issue was?!

I told him that both of them have leakages because of previous poor installation.

He said he would need around one hour to fix this. (That would be until around 8 pm >.< )

Sigh... why I always encounter a problem and have to go through this kind of tedious process?!!

Since I was born, I always think I am special...

However, years after years I begin to think I am not that special...

I don't even get a normal birthday celebration like any other people.

I remembered I had a few "Big" celebrations when I was very young (1-6 years old?) or before I went to primary school.

Then, I barely remembered if I had any birthday parties anymore.

After that, my family at most just bought me a cake or brought me to Kentucky Fried Chicken to celebrate my birthday be it on a normal year or on the Leap Year itself.

Since I went to high school, there was rarely any celebrations for me.

In my memory, there was only one time and the only time that a group of friends held a party to celebrate my birthday... but that one also joint with another female classmate whose birthday falls on 1st March.

Then, I remembered that I spent my 6th Birthday alone at a karaoke room that I had been singing for almost 9 hours...

That time my beloved grandmother (mother's side) just passed away.

On my 7th Birthday, there was still nothing special...

I had been searching for Free Meals, Free Entries, Free Celebrations etc. for Leaplings through the Internet.

Then, I went to those places alone... I felt so pathetic and even sadder when I saw others were accompanied by family members or love ones.

This year it will be my 8th Birthday... I can "sense" that it will not be any special also...

I have been dreaming to have a vacation or a grand birthday celebration with my love one but it seems that the dream will not come true also this round...

Maybe it's my problem that I do not have many friends, buddies and also do not have a girlfriend to hold a birthday celebration or even give me any surprises, which may be easily available to any person who does not even born in the Leap Year...

Went to buy the famous overnight Molten Egg Yolk Custard Croissant at Le Bread Days, SS2.

It's around 11.10 am when I parked my car.

I saw 2 - 3 people were queuing up in front of the shop.

I alighted only after a few minutes later.

By then, I saw there were already more than 10 people in the queue. @@

After that, the queue was getting longer and longer.

There were people eating in the shop and those people were allowed to buy and order other products in the shop except Molten Egg Yolk Custard Croissant.

It's 11.30 am and the lady boss came out to take the name of each customer and also the quantity of Molten Egg Yolk Custard Croissant that he/she would like to purchase. (limit to 4 pieces each person though)

The lady boss told those people at the back that the Molten Egg Yolk Custard Croissant was sold out after the orders reached 150 pieces of Molten Egg Yolk Custard Croissant.

At about 11.45 am, a staff came out and only let the first eight persons to go into the shop to pay for the Molten Egg Yolk Custard Croissant.

It took more than 10 minutes even just to pay at counter.

I waited for more than an hour to buy the limited Molten Egg Yolk Custard Croissant.

The skin of the croissant was a little thin or the egg yolk custard was too hot that the custard flowed out from the croissant.

The Molten Egg Yolk Custard Croissant tasted great only while it's served hot.

The agent called me about 2-3 times and referred to me as another person.

How could they simply mix the information up?

Still satisfied with the answer since it seemed to be personalized instead of a generic answer.

The person told me that the tablet was sent to me on 15th May 2015.

I told him that I did not receive it.

He asked me to wait while he checking with the management team.

Later, he told me there was a delays in delivery.

He was the first person to tell me that I could go to their office to pick it up by myself.

In those email conversations and calls that I had made previously, no one told me that I could go and get it from their office.

He said I could go to their office to pick it up anytime.

(If they have already had the stock, why don't they send out by courier? Is it so difficult to do so? Some more I had been waiting for so long. Their staff did a mistake initially by keying my information wrongly and caused a longer delay but they still did not give priority to send to me first. My friend who applied later had already received her tablet last week.)

I planned to go to their office after work today around 6.00 pm but my receptionist called me to go down and pick up my stuff at around 3.00 pm just now.

I thought what was that since I did not purchase anything recently nor expect anything to be sent to me.

To my surprise, I opened the courier plastic bag and saw the Huawei Mediapad Tablet in it.

Finally, I got my tablet after such a long and headache process...

In the first place, the quality of the flowers is not good and not fresh.

I ordered 3 times because this was the only cheapest choice I had for last minute ordering of flowers for Valentine's Day.

Every time, they would charge more than the price displayed because they are using WorldPay (I am not sure why they want to use that).

Every time, I have to ask for refund on the amount they have overcharged but they always respond late.

This time was even worse with no response and slow action.

I obtained this HSBC Amanah Platinum credit card since Nov 2014.

I was promised by a staff, Fenny Ho, in Mid Valley roadshow that I would get a HTC phone upon credit card approval.

Later, I found out from the customer service personnel that the HTC phone will only be giving out to a limited number of customers e.g. for the first 2500 applicants.

I was asked to wait for the name list to come out regardless of the number of phonecalls that I have made from month to month.

Finally, the name list was out and my name is in the list.

Again, I was asked to wait for a call from the HTC vendor.

How long do I have to wait?

It's been almost half a year and I haven't received the phone.

Blame it to the name list?! Blame it to the HTC vendor?!

Until today, I haven't received any calls from anyone.

Who and what else do you want to blame for the delay?

Finally, I received the phone on 16th May 2015.

I find it's insincere of the bank to give the free gift only after such a LOOOONG period of time and I had to go through so much trouble just to follow up on the free gift.

Is it buddy or Bloody H****?

I am not sure whether this is because of my luck in my life or merely because I am this kind of person myself that I attract those so-called buddies, who give me the same kind of treatments.

People and articles stated that "You will attract people of your own kind".

That is the Laws of Attraction.

I had this ex-coursemate/ex-housemate/buddy (M*****) during my life in university.

We were housemate only during the Final Year.

During this period, he fetched me to university most of the time when we had the same classes or the time of the classes were almost the same.

We went for suppers and Futsal games with other housemates.

Yes, I considered him as my buddy.

We helped each other also.

He always said he would introduce girls to me because I was still single and he would like to help.

However, whenever he wanted to introduce a girl to me or he had already introduced the girl to me, very fast he was dating the girl himself and some even became his girlfriends.

I found it's hard to accept his actions.

Is this the way you treated your buddy?

When I brought this up to him, he just mentioned that this kind of relationship and love related matters he could not help me and I had to find my own way.

Initially, I did not ask for his help but he offered and promised to help me.

I felt he was turning his back on me.

Now, the similar situation happens again between my current so-called buddy/colleague (J***n) and me.

We knew each other back in the beginning of 2012 in the company team building.

In fact, we were not that close in the team building even we were assigned to the same team.

He was so busy grabbing attention and circling a female fresh graduate from Service Desk Team that time.

We did not contact each other until a year later, which was the beginning of 2013.

He contacted me through the company messenger.

We were having lunch together since then.

I got to know that he just broke up with his girlfriend after year 2012 Christmas.

I tried not to think negatively that he asked me for lunch together and hanged out with me again because he needed someone to talk to after he broke up with his girlfriend and he still remembered me as his friend.

I was totally fine with that.

We went for dinners and movies for a few times.

I was not sure when I treated him as my buddy.

Maybe it started when he said, "You are my buddy."

He shared his story with me on how much he loved his ex-girlfriend and how much money he had spent on his ex-girlfriend.

Since he had a few girlfriends previously, I asked him where else we could go to meet and get to know girls.

He said he did not know where else to meet and get to know girls except gymnasium as he met two of his ex-girlfriends also from there.

He started to go back to his regular gymnasium after the break up.

He offered to give me one of his VIP invitation so that I could join and try the facilities myself.

He encouraged me to work out with him as well.

I accepted the invitation and went there for a few times.

Due to my laziness, I was not consistent like him.

I felt I wasted his VIP pass but I really appreciated that.

He shared with me that he had several girls who could be introduced to me.

He showed me some girls' photos in his mobile phone.

He said my happiness was his first priority.

He would be happy for me if I could find a girlfriend.

Then, we could travel together in pairs.

I was so touched and happy to hear that.

Yet, he had only introduced one of the girls to me so far.

He did not present at the place himself to help me to break the ice also during the meeting of me with this girl.

I agreed that he should not spoon feed me.

I also thought that I was an adult and I could carry myself well.

The girl brought along her female friend.

Most of the time they just talked to each other.

I found it was difficult to chip in between their topics.

The girl and I continued to chat through Whatapps messenger for some time but due to some misunderstanding, the girl got angry with me and we stopped contacting each other.

Then, I introduced my friend Chris to J***n since all of us were singles.

We could have fun together and help each other.

Time flied so swiftly and it was August 2013.

One night, Chris suggested that we went out for bowling games.

Chris brought along his female friend (Sh***n), who he knew from his last job.

I knew her already since we went for a karaoke session before this.

We introduced Sh***n to J***n.

It surprised both Chris and I that Sh***n and J***n have started dating not long after that.

We felt happy for them.

As usual, whenever a friend is dating then he/she will neglect his/her friends who used to hang out with him/her.

Since then, J***n seldom hanged out with Chris and me anymore.

J***n and I still have lunch together during the weekdays.

Chris complained that J***n was so bad to abandon us after he found a girlfriend.

I thought it's normal as most of the people would be like that.

J***n got more friends into our lunch group.

I would like to thank him for introducing two fresh graduates (male, L** and M**k) and another lady (J****e) to me.

That was my lunch group since then.

I was not sure whether it's because I was treating people nicely that I got the same treatment or what this round.

L** and M**k asked me to join them for activities and introduced their friends especially single female friends to me.

L** introduced MW and E***** to me before our Taiwan trip on last March 2014.

J***n, M**k and I joined L**, MW and E***** for the trip.

J***n joined the trip without his girlfriend Sh***n because he said his girlfriend was having a family trip to China during that time.

MW and I chat for some time through Facebook messenger and Whatapps.

We also joined the Ukelele classes before the trip.

We were somewhat close.

I did not contact E***** or hanged out with her since she was working and residing in Singapore.

J***n, M**k and I reached Taiwan a day earlier than L**, MW and E*****.

J***n had already complained the trip was not nice on the first day itself.

He said he was feeling tired and backache because he had to carry his own luggage with him.

He used to follow tour agencies and he did not have to carry his luggage around by himself.

He was no mood after that.

M**k and I also did not know what to say and do to get him into mood again.

We tried to enjoy the trip without bad influence by him.

We met L**'s friend, J.L. and we all went to the themed park recommended by J***n.

J***n took a few photos of me with the big cake together with others to consider that as my birthday celebration.

I felt happy also.

On the next day, J***n suddenly so excited and had mood when L**, MW and E***** were around.

To cut the story, J***n just hanged around with the girls and kept taking photos with them except when it was time to take group photos.

Four of us (guys) were unhappy and dissatisfied with J***n.

Not to say any of us had interest towards the girls but it was supposed to be a group trip.

It would not be fun if we separated into a few smaller groups.

Let's say one of the guys was interested with any of the girls but he would have lesser chance if J***n kept sticking with the girls.

J***n himself had already had girlfriend.

J.L flew back two days earlier than us.

I felt J***n was being selfish and was not being considerate to the rest of us at all.

It was so obvious on the second last night when L** and the two girls flew back to Malaysia.

J***n complained boring and tiring again when the trip just left M**k and me.

J***n did not feel like taking photos or walking around.

M**k and I were so unhappy on that.

Before the trip, J***n said this trip was supposed for M**k, himself and I to get to know each other better.

However, it was totally disappointing when we saw J***n acted like that.

I was so unhappy and disappointed with J***n because I treated him as my buddy.

If J***n did not treat other guys as buddies, I was fine if he did not encourage or create chance for them to get closer to the girls.

But he said I was his buddy.

Shouldn't he encourage me or create chance for me since I am the one who is single and not him?

He was just enjoying himself without thinking of me at all.

I felt so disappointed with what he said to me e.g. "Your happiness is my first priority. I will feel happy for you if you get a girlfriend."

It seemed that he was just bullsh*tting me or that was a lie.

After the trip, I started to talk about his actions during Taiwan trip with L**, M**k and J****e.

I really felt so disappointed and frustrated.

Yes! I was bad for bad-mouthing him with others but maybe I just needed a channel to express my feelings instead of hiding them previously when I was very shy and quiet.

Otherwise, I felt suffering if I just hid my feelings.

I wondered how did I manage to hide my feelings and not expressing them last time.

Last weekend, M**k wanted to introduce his ex-course mate (C** H**) to me.

J***n wanted to tag along because he was so curious to make friend with someone who could see ghosts.

J***n drove his sports car to fetch M**k, J****e and me.

Then, we went to fetch C** H**.

I let C** H** to take my front seat and I moved to the back seat because she was wearing skirt.

Then, so fast J***n and C** H** strike into a conversation.

I was sitting at the back without much words.

Again, I felt that J***n was doing it again.

The whole day I just kept quiet even though the "date" was supposed for me to get to know C** H** better.

M**k kept promoting me.

J****e kept urging and "pushing" me to get to know and talk to C** H** more.

Yet, I was really not in mood to do anything.

Again, I was disappointed with the so-called buddy, J***n.

What did he do besides keep talking to C** H** and taking my chance away?

He even went out of the cinema to take a sweater from his car for C** H** instead of "pushing" me to take a sweater for her.

What was his intention?

Was it too much for him to do for a newly met female friend?

Luckily, I managed to talk to her for a while and dated her for night market on Monday.

However, when I wanted to confirm with her again on Sunday, she said she would ask J***n and if J***n was going then she would be going too since J***n could fetch her.

I immediately felt fed up and angry when she mentioned J***n.

Was it because she was materialistic that she attracted to J***n or because of she attracted to J***n's actions?

I was so moody and sick at the same time on Monday.

I was working for one hour and then I went to the clinic to visit the doctor and took Medical Leave to get some rest at home.

On the same day, J****e and M**k suddenly scolded J***n for me.

They said they wanted to scold on behalf of me and thought J***n was not doing right as my buddy during the "date" with C** H**.

J***n called me during that lunch hour and asked me whether I was angry at him.

He explained that he did not mean to compete with me to chase C** H** and he said if compete, I would not stand a chance.

He said he just showed his care as a big brother.

I did not agree with that from his previous actions during Taiwan trip.

J****e was actually trying to control the situation when M**k scolded J***n but she herself scolded J***n and M**k during that lunch also.

She said M**k should not tell J***n all these.

She also scolded J***n for being so "extra-gentlemen" on the "date" with C** H**.

J****e thought everything was all right because J***n tried to comfort me and J***n seemed all right even after the scolding.

Who knows...

J***n totally avoided us.

He did not go for lunch with us this afternoon.

Then, I checked my Whatapps for messages; only to find out that J***n had left all the chat groups that included him and me.

He did not un-friend me yet from Facebook.

Then, I got to know that J***n did such a big reaction after M**k told J***n what I told M**k in the company messenger.

I told M**k that if J***n was not helping then don't 'ka ka cau cau'/disturbing there. J***n was just taking away and lessening my chance to get to know a girl better.

I was so furious that time to say such things but I did not expect M**k to tell J***n about it.

M**k should know on how to differentiate between what can be said and what cannot be said.

I am not sure what will happen to this friendship.

The only thing I think I did badly was to bad-mouth him even only to those closed friends I trusted.

I still feel that he is the one who does not appreciate our friendship.

I appreciated that he helped me when I really needed a helping hand for that one and only one time.

I would always remember that and categorized that as a big favour.

Since then I tried to treat him more nicely.

I asked him for movie whenever there was promotion.

I treated him food and drink whenever I had the chance.

Wasting my Annual Leave just to renew my passport at Immigration Department at JLN Duta

I think a lot of you feel frustrated and impatient when you need to go to government deparment to settle something. I have the same feeling and even headache after been to a few government departments to settle some stuffs. I don't know why the Immigration Department shut down their online application/renewal of passport. I have never used it before but for sure I will use this service rather than go to their counters. I bet most of you will be more than agree if I say most of your first impression for government departments will be slow, time-wasting, time-consuming and inefficient. Today I went to the Immigration Department at JLN Duta to renew my passport. I reached around 1.30 pm. There was a notice at the glass door for Passport Unit stated that all the officers will be having lunch from 1.00 -2.00 pm. All counters would be closed and no one would be working. I saw quite a number of people in front of the Passport Unit. Some were sitting on the benches whereas others had already formed a queue. When it's almost 2.00 pm, more and more people came. Some went to the back to queue but some just stood in front of the glass door and waited for the door to be opened. This kind of attitude was disgusting. I had been queuing since 1.30 pm but they justjust waited in front of the door without queuing up. I had the urge to swear them to have bad luck in the next few weeks =.="
When i got inside, people even cut queue and the queue was disorganized. I got the number around #1300 and the number to be served was #1156 only. Oh my God!!! I almost wanted to yell out. I waited for one and a half hours to get my photo taken for the passport. Then, their system was down for two times within these hours. Although their staff might be faster and more efficient now, their lousy system just needs some upgrades. I still had to wait about 30 minutes to pay for the renewal for two years at the price of 100 MYR. I felt so REGRET! I do not want to experience this again after two years later. If possible, I rather pay for 10 years or more or a few decades. I waited there for more than two hours but in the end they asked me to come again to collect on tomorrow. It's not as stated in their promise to get within the same day after one hour from payment. Do they think I'm so free and no need to go to work that I can go there anytime everyday? I could go there today because I was on Annual Leave. Now, I need to scratch my head again to apply for another half day or full day of Annual Leave just to collect the new passport. It's indeed time-consuming just to get something simple done!
