This is a very nice article taken from eBarabanki

I wondered and I pondered….. questions and thoughts crisscrossed my minds. I am not going to make the effort of trying to recapitulate all of them, Or for that matter, to try to organize them.

But here are some of those, with which I haven’t reach a conclusion. You could try answering these for yourself as well !!

1- Why and I ask why, is it so bloody important to be a “has been…” or something other than who I AM ?? Why must each one of us be a super achiever ?

2- What is it you would want to be, if you could ??

a. A business Tycoon
b. Superstar
c. A Humanitarian
d. Famous politician or whatever….

3- Reflect on your 2nd choice, it shall tell about your priorities in life, re-evaluate the question 2 in the light of this discovery.

4- Let’s learn about the life of people, who are known as “superachievers”. What was their motivation for being who they became ?

a. Was it a burning desire to have their names etched on the fabric of time ? ( immortality, ambition )

b. Live up to the expectation of someone, father, family ?? ( social pressure, to measure up, to be accepted, respected ?? )

c. Was it LOVE ?? ( Like that of, for a man for a woman or like of a Father for his son ( Lorenzo’s OIL, Cindrella Man ), or like that of a state of being as in FREEDOM ( Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose ) ?? )

PS: Lorenzo’s OIL, Cindrella Man are movie names

5- And for those of us who after going through all of the above come to the conclusion, that the only way to exist is as “someone”, otherwise we are lesser mortals. When to do you throw in the towel ??

Development of Positive ATTITUDE

1- What is attitude?
Attitude means the way we look at life in general.
Do we look at life as something to live and enjoy or some punishment, which has to be borne till death liberates us from the bondage?

2- Different persons have different attitudes and therefore two different persons may look at the same thing in a bright or a dull way.A person who fails in an exam may despair and give up further studies while some people even think of committing suicide and we may read about such cases in the news paper. But another person may take up his mind to try again with extra effort and with a determination to do better and succeed.

3- Let us see how interestingly attitude comes out with flying colors when various keys to success are examined.
   Let us give numbers to the letters of the alphabet.
   A is1, B is 2, C is 3 and so on till you come to Z which is 26.
   Now lets examine together what values various keys to success get by this method:

Ambition : 1+13+2+9+20+9+15+14 = 83
Ability : 1+2+9+14+9+20+25 = 80
Attitude : 1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5 = 100

We can conclude from above method that Attitude is the most important and required 100% for development of an individual.

4- Consider other aspects which people may consider useful in achieving success .

Now try to find out the marks for 'KNOWLEDGE' you will be surprised to know that even knowledge falls short by three points.

5- Crucial Moment : If I am going to appear for an exam, I can imagine that I will succeed and be happy or I can worry about failing as many of us often do. My imagination that I am going to fail badly and worrying about it will disturb my mind and let me down at the crucial moment. On the other hand, if I go on imagining success, then my mind will be in better frame and I will be able to do better.

6- Is attitude something that can be cultivated or developed by us?

Are there methods by which we can develop a healthy, bright & positive attitude towards life and its various aspects?

Attitude is not something, which some other person can give us.Others can only guide us and show what the good attitude could be but we have to develop it ourselves through conscious effort.

Now as we have understood the role of Positive attitude in ones successful life lets see how to develop a positive attitude.

How to develop a positive ATTITUDE :

Always look for the positive aspects of things. A glass is filled with water upto middle level. What shall we say? "We must make a conscious effort, always try to see the brighter aspect of all events that take place. The glass is half full or half empty."

We must learn to count our blessings and not troubles. When something unpleasant happens just try to think of many happy things that have happened to you. If we feel dull about our job or salary, then think about the larger number of people with lower salary or not job at all.

We must always remember that we are what we want to be and what we can do about ourselves. We should learn not only to appreciate and praise others but also accept praise and comments gracefully. Humility is a Virtue, but it does not require us to unnecessarily underestimate ourselves.

We must learn to keep negative influences away. There are people who are pessimistic, always criticize and never do things to improve anything. We must try to cultivate the friendship of happy, cheerful and positive minded people who spread happiness and good cheers.

Life is full of happy and sad events. If a sad event takes place and we go on brooding about it, it will do no good to any one as nothing can be changed which has already taken place. So we must learn to remember the happy things that have happened to us and to forget sad unpleasant ones.

So let us resolve to start each day with a positive thought and positive attitude.

Trust is Important for Every Relationship

Trust is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is broken, it is the end of the relationship. Lack of trust leads to suspicion, suspicion generates anger, anger causes enmity and enmity may result in separation.

A telephone operator told me that one day she received a phone call. She answered, "Public Utilities Board." There was silence. She repeated, "PUB." There was still no answer. When she was going to cut off the line, she heard a lady's voice, "Oh, so this is PUB. Sorry, I got the number from my Husband's pocket but I do not know whose number it is."

Without mutual trust, just imagine what will happen to the couple if the telephone operator answered with just "hello" instead of "PUB".

It's All About Energy...

Hi,
We're all made of energy... tiny molecules vibrating at a certain frequency... this
vibrating energy makes up our existence.
Everything is made of energy... and it's that same energy that we constantly
direct that attracts everything into our life.
Now there are different kinds of energy... or different levels... and that's what makes
everything so interesting.
Positive energy attracts positive situation.

Negative energy attracts negative situations.
Positive energy repels negative situations.
And negative energy repels positive situations.
If you're negative you'll attract more negative people, and more negative situations.
You'll also push away positive people and positive situations.
If you're positive you'll attract positive people and positive situations.
You'll also push away negative people and negative situations.
So if you're not getting what you want - then you're likely not sending out the right energy.
You see other people pick up on your energy vibrations on a subconscious level.
They don't really know it - they just get a sense about you - a feeling or a vibe
about you. They don't consciously say: "This is someone positive, lets get to know him or her."
It all happens on a subconscious level.
But it starts in the conscious mind.
Your thoughts, and beliefs shape your energy level... they create that vibrating energy.
Your thoughts and beliefs are sent to your subconscious mind which radiates
your energy level (the very energy that others pick up on).
Positive thoughts and positive beliefs create positive energy.
Those with positive energy attract positive situations, good things happen to them,
they meet terrific people and enjoy life.
As they continue doing this they naturally become more optimistic.
They take positive actions, and they continue to attract more and more positive
situations, people and events into their lives.
If your filled with negative thoughts, self-doubt, worry, uncertainty, and if you
generally feel that things will never work out or get better then you're sending out
the energy that will only attract more of what you don't want... or more worry,
self-doubt, and uncertainty... all of which will only cause you to feel that
things will never work out.
It's a viscous cycle and if it isn't broken will only lead to more and more negative situations.
So how do you change your energy?
How do you create positive energy so that you enjoy positive situations?
Think about what you want and then write down your immediate thoughts and beliefs.
See if they're positive or negative.
If there's any self doubt, or any negative thought - then you probably have a negative
belief tied to the thought.
Both need to be changed ASAP.
Then track your thoughts throughout the week.
Are they generally negative or positive.
Change as many negative thoughts as you can.
You won't be able to change all of them, just change as many as you can.
You should also track what you say to people in every day conversations.
You might be surprised at what you discover.
If you find yourself saying negative things - change those words.
This is part of the process.
To change your energy send a new message to your subconscious mind.
Create positive thoughts and positive beliefs.
Begin developing positive energy.
Attract positive people and positive situations.
Changing your energy can be done.
It's a lot easier than you think.
You have the power to shift your energy and attract the people,
situations and circumstances that will catapult you to success.
The more positive and optimistic you are the sooner you'll create positive energy.
Believe in yourself.
Believe in your ability.
You can do anything you want.
Don't let negative thinking hold you back.
Don't let those negative thoughts destroy your success.
Change the negative beliefs and create more positive situations in life –
You are a powerful human being.
You have tremendous power - the power to create the life you want.
Direct that power and the energy you have so that you enjoy your life.

Lessons I learned from My Manager

Last night was a very interesting night for me. One of my friends came to my home to visit my family.After having a cup of tea we started some discussions. I have a daughter of 17 months and my friend has a boy of 2 and half year.
The discussion started about how do we provide a better environment for our kids to learn.
What is the best learning environment for our children became the hot topic to discuss.
My wife said that if the kids are given a pleasureful and comfortable environment it easy for them to grasp new things and learn it with excitement. Hearing this my friend said politely that this is not the case for each and every children. Every kid is different in nature and requires different kind of actions to make them learn better.
My Wife asked can you give me some example ?
My friend replied that Yes off course I will.
i am the person who has realized the same on my own.But my bad luck that I identified the real environment when the opportunity to learn was lost.I don't blame myself for the same as it has already said by some wise person that
"Opportunities are best Identified when they are Gone."

Till now we got exited hear my friends story, So I asked with curiosity please carry On..

After working 4 years in company with my same manager I learnt that

It was my second last round of interview with my manager for a post of software engineer in my current company.
I was called for the interview.I was dressed well and was much more confident to get the job as I had done very well in My Technical interview.
I had words with my friends and they have told me that if you have cleared the technical round the manager round is just to get a basic idea about you. So I was very happy when i was entering in the room with a great smile thinking that I would impress the manager also.
I was accompanied by a person to the interview room who in fact was my manger. He asked me to sit down on a chair.Then he asked about me, I explained to my best.
Now he started asking some questions about the company I was about to join.
Manager : Do you know what is the CMM certification the company has?
Me: CMM Level 5?

Manager : What is CMM level?
Me : Its a kind of certification that IT companies get when they follow certain set of rules defined by CMM .

Manager : Is it the CMM ? are you sure ?
Me : Yes Sir . This is just what I know about CMM, I dont know anything else about it.

Manager : Ok Can you tell me how this company was established?
Me: hmm...mm.. No Idea Sir.

Finance minister has given the Holi gift to the tax payers of India as the Union Budget 2010 has reduced the tax liability of individual income tax payers by broadening the tax slabs.

There is no change in the Basic Exemption limit, Education Cess and Income Tax rates.

The Perfect Kill

It was late in the evening when I entered Howrah Station .It was teeming with office workers returning home after a typically tiring day at work. I didn't look forward to the prospect of returning home to my husband. The love between us had died years ago. Our marriage had been transformed into a dead corpse buried deep beneath a pile of painful memories. The bits and pieces of pleasure I derived from my daily existence were my only source of sustenance. My husband had accused me of being mentally deranged. But only I know better. He should have thought of a better reason than that to get rid of me.

I hauled my self into a train standing nearby. Finding a seat lying vacant I gleefully slid into it. After having exhausted myself at work securing a place to ease my legs was a welcome relief. The scene inside the train was disquieting. The train being the last one on that particular route, it wasn't long before the compartment was bursting to the full with people. They jostled and fought with each other in a desperate attempt to keep from falling off.

June is the hottest month in Kolkata; it's when the when the summers are at the peak of their torment. The sweltering heat conspired with the intolerable humidity to beat the lives out of the commuters. The stench from the garbage rotting on the rail tracks combined with the nauseating smell of human sweat to pervade the whole atmosphere. I felt like vomiting. I subconsciously swallowed the spittle that formed in my throat. In despair, I stared up at the ceiling for comfort. A solitary fan hung up there in a state of eternal rest, hideously shrouded in spider webs. I closed my eyes in a bid to rest my mind. Slowly I allowed myself to fall into a labored slumber.

When I awoke the train had traveled far into the countryside. The seat next to mine was occupied by a pretty nymphet. She had a concerned look on her face. The object of her anxiety was seated right opposite to us. He was the most loathsome, horrid specimen of mankind I had ever seen. He evidently appeared to be a village goon of some reputation. His bloodshot eyes were planted firmly on the girl. She squirmed uncomfortably in her seat under his leering looks. The redness of his eyes was indicative of the fact that he had soaked himself in liquor far exceeding socially acceptable limits.

The girl's nervousness was infectious. I looked around the compartment. It was completely vacant except for the three of us. I began to grow uneasy. The girl pressed my hand and held up a piece of newspaper for my inspection. She pointed towards a front-page news report. It was on a sensational serial killer who had been haunting Kolkatans for the past couple of weeks. Six young girls had been murdered in different parts of the city. They were discovered with their throats brutally slit open. The killings had been executed with such meticulous efficiency that the murder scenes were totally devoid of any clues. The police were baffled. The report went on to draw parallels with the legendary 'Stoneman' who had terrorized Calcutta in early the 90's and whose identity was yet to be ascertained. The report was undeniably scary and chilling to the bone.

The girl had visibly paled. She motioned with her eyes indicating to me that she considered the man sitting opposite to be a prime suspect. The girl was badly scared and I must admit I was pretty worried myself. Suddenly the train slowed as it approached an oncoming station. I was contemplating the feasibility of getting off the train, well before my intended destination, when the man himself stood up. To my utter surprise and immense joy he hopped off the train as it came to a screeching halt. The girl looked at me and both of us let out a huge sigh of relief. The tension having been released, she began to giggle. I caught up with her silly laughter and soon both of us were laughing away in abandon.

With a rude jerk the train started moving. Soon it was speeding across vast open countryside at a furious pace. Her jangled nerves having been calmed, the girl had begun to doze in her seat. As I looked at her I wondered just how naïve and unsuspecting young girls can be. I slipped my hand inside my handbag and firmly gripped the kitchen knife I always carried. I felt a strange numbness in my fingers but it had to be done. Besides she had an exceedingly beautiful neck. Such a pity!

Once in a kindergarten, a teacher asked all students to write an essay on the topic "A Poor Family".

One student gets the lowest marks for writing that essay.
The student happens to be the richest girl in the entire class and her essay goes on as.......

She wrote:
Ek baar ek bahut hee gareeb family thi,
husband aur wife dono gareeb they, do bachey they,
woh bhi bahut gareeb they!!
Ghar ke saare naukar bhi gareeb they,
ghar ka maali, driver,

On the serious note I would like to summarize with ...

When we were using our hearts more than our brains, even for scientifically
brainy activities like 'thinking' and 'deciding' ...

When we were crying and laughing more often, more openly and more sincerely ...

When we were enjoying our present more than worrying about our future ...

When being emotional was not synonymous to being weak ...

When sharing worries and happiness didn't mean getting vulnerable to the listener ...

When blacks and whites were the favorite colors instead of greys ...

When journeys also were important and not just the destinations ...

When life was a passenger's sleeper giving enough time and opportunity to
enjoy the sceneries from its open and transparent glass windows instead of some

super fast's second ac with its curtained, closed and dark windows ...
