US-China 'goodwill' Basketball Match Erupts In Violence

2011-08-19T14:30:00.000+05:00

BEIJING: What began as a goodwill trip to Beijing for the Georgetown University men's basketball team turned violent Thursday (August 18) night, when its exhibition game against Chinese Bayi Rockets deteriorated into an ugly fight, Chinese media reported. Georgetown coach John Thompson pulled his players off the court with 9 minutes 32 seconds left in the 4th quarter and the scores tied at 64.

While US and Chinese diplomats struggled to find common ground on key issues, from the valuation of the Chinese currency to China's military rise, it was hoped that a mutual love of basketball, which has an estimated 400 million fans in China, might provide a positive backdrop to an awkward visit. Here is the video of this awkward fight.

Life Is Beautiful If You Know How To Live It (Inspirational And Motivational)

A Quiet Inspirational & Motivational thought

If ever I reach heaven, I expect to find three wonders there: first, to meet some I had not thought to see there; second, to miss some I had expected to see there; and third, the greatest wonder of all, to find myself there.

- John Newton
An English sailor and Anglican priest,

See less with your eyes then your heart will tell you everything. And Be positive in mind and don't let any negative energy to enter it. It will give negative impact to your attitude and your heart. When your heart goes wrong? and don't let the past scratch your back. If you want the right attitude from the person... you have to be right first before you apply to others.Very simple. How many in this planet people claim himself as perfectionist? No! Life did not require perfectionist...life is a receptionist to everyone of us!

A Good Thought And A Message!!!

Everyday May Not be Good, but theirs Something Good In Everyday !!!

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become.
You never know who these people may be but, when you lock eyes with them, you know that every moment they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair but, upon reflection, you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart. Don't disappoint ...

If you have a dream, Don't waste your energies explaining why

IF I become the loneliest lonely on the earth, I still have God.

We all have the power to shape our day and our life, so no matter what is happening in our lives, we can make the decision to be happy and enjoy every moment. Life is beautiful if we know how to live.

When you have passion and do what you love in life, the whole world almost becomes perfect. Mary

Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
When your heart's heavy I
I will lift it for you

Don't give up
Because you want to be heard
If silence keeps you I
I will break it for you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you

Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up

Because you are loved

Don't give up
It's just the hurt that you hide
When you're lost inside I
I'll be there to find you

Don't give up
Because you want to burn bright
If darkness blinds you I
I will shine to guide you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you

Everybody needs to be loved
Don't give up

Because...you are loved

Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world

Don't give up
Everyone needs to be loved

You are loved

“If you done it, it ain't bragging.”

When the world pushes you to your knees, you are in a perfect position to pray !!!

The Best Relations To Have Friendship

2011-08-19T05:00:00.001+05:00

I was going to the topic of Friendship and i really liked the love of friends the package of friendship. It is a constant book always written, waiting to be read, and enjoyed. We may have our disagreements, we may argue, we may concern one another. Friendship is a unique bond, that lasts through it all. A part of me is put into my friends, some it is my humor, some it is my listening ear, some it is real life experiences, some it is my romanticism but with all, it is Friendship.

Friends, you and me, you brought another friend, and then there were three. We started our group, our circle of friends, and like that circle, there is no beginning or end. Bless You My Dear Friends!!!

Link Between Danial Pearl Murder and Usama Bin Laden

2011-05-05T12:34:00.000+05:00

The killing of Osama bin Laden and the latest Wikileaks leak have combined in an issue involving the killing of former Wall Street Journal journalist Daniel Pearl, according to reports.

Hundreds of files involving detainees at Guantanamo Bay have been included in the latest Wikileaks papers, including an interview with Mohammed who told of advice provided to Al Qaida to spare Pearl's life, a recommendation that was denied. Pearl was killed.

Khalid Sheik Mohammed was waterboarded by those interrogating him at Guantanamo Bay, aparently around 183 times but an LA Times report indicates Pearl was taken to the house of the terrorist organization's finance chief in Pakiston, Saud Memon and killed there.

Mohammed was caught in March 2002 and told his interrogators about a discussion with Sayf alAdl, an Al Qaida commander, who was told not to murder Pearl. Pearl was killed in 2002 and his wife Mariane Pearl is to be on Capitol Hill Tuesday for a panel discussion on press freedom.

The killing of Daniel Pearl and issues relating to the release of Osama bin Laden's death pictures are occupying increasing time among US media and political sources.

Sad News for PhotoJournalism community. Two photojournalists are killed and two others injured in rocket attack in Misrata, Libya. It's a sad day for the photojournalism community. Tim Hetherington, a British Photojournalist and co-director of the documentary "Restrepo," and Chris Hondros, an American Photojournalist with Getty Images, were killed by a rocket propelled grenade in Misrata. Two other photojournalists, Guy Martin and Michael Christopher Brown, were also injured, but less severely.

Photojournalist Tim Hetherington is seen in this undated handout image during an assignment for Vanity Fair Magazine at 'Restrepo' outpost in Afghanistan. Hetherington, the co-director of Oscar-nominated war documentary "Restrepo," died in the besieged Libyan town of Misrata on April 20, 2011, doctors said. He was among a group caught by mortar fire on Tripoli Street, the main thoroughfare leading into the centre of Misrata, the only major rebel-held town in western Libya and besieged by Muammar Gaddafi's forces for more than seven weeks.

See the video below to hear Hondros describe his motivation for doing such dangerous but important work and see several of his most amazing images.

10 Most Hottest Actresses in Popular TV Shows

2011-04-02T00:21:00.002+05:00

Here are Top 10 Hottest And Beautiful Actresses in Populr TV Shows.

1. Sophia Bush from “One Tree Hill”

You might think that, out of the myriads of beautiful women in the world, that it would be hard to choose the top TV hottie in a list like this. Well, it was actually very easy. Sophia Bush, gracing the popular show “One Tree Hill”, is a specimen magnificent to behold. Her raw, radiating beauty permeates the screen whenever she is on. This is the kind of girl who was born with it – from an adorable face, to a hot body, to a sexy demeanor, Sophia Bush is as hot and sexy as she is talented and beautiful and that is why she deserves the number one spot in our TV hotties countdown.

2. Eva Longoria, From “Desperate Housewives”

A lot of ladies like to watch this show for the drama but I am going to be completely honest, I watch it to catch a glimpse of Eva Longoria! This Hollywood hottie has a star-quality to her that no many other females can rival. She is one of the best loved characters on the show, and it is because she is as talented as she is beautiful. This woman has got it all where it counts, literally

3. Evangeline Lilly, from “Lost”

As we enter the top three, it is time to make honorable mention of a woman who has fueled more TV viewer delight in the past season than maybe anyone else – Evangeline Lilly. Playing in the hit TV show “Lost”, she gives us a glimpse into a sort of beauty that not many actresses can boast. Hey, there is something extra special about a girl who walks around on the beach with wet hair, or in the jungle as she tries to survive. She definitely deserves to be in the top three TV show hotties.

4. Spencer Grammer, from “Greek”

Spencer Grammer is an exceptionally beautiful girl that truly deserves to be in the top five hottie list. Unlike a lot of girls on TV, she has a down to earth beauty about her that seems true to life. For example, I think she is the kind of girl who looks just as hot when she first wakes up as she does in the evening- though I am afraid that watching her show is the closest I will ever come to testing this theory! She is a hottie of curvaceous proportions, and always brings life to the screen.

5. Kaley Cuoco, from “Big Bang Theory”

As we enter the top five in our hottie countdown, proper credit must be given to Kaley Cuoco for her role in the hit series “Big Bang Theory”. Do we give her credit for being a talented actress? Well, yes, but that is only part of it – she deserves credit for being a hot AND talented actress! Cuoco sports a playful beauty that brings freshness to the screen, and seeing her is like breathing in a fresh breath of air! She is curvaceous, cute, and clever- hey, what more do you need to be a top five TV hottie?
6. Erica Durance, from “Smallville”

If there is one thing that a good Superman show needs, it is a hot Lois Lane. This fiesty reporter from the comic book world has been portrayed by many women over time, but Erica Durance might be the hottest Lois to ever grace the screen. She has a sort of simple beauty that makes her lovable and sensual at the same time – a combination that is rare on TV nowadays. She has the ability to be glamorous, but also to be “girlfriend-like”, which is an asset that not many young women possess.

7. Sofia Vergara, from “Modern Family”

Modern family is a very funny, very popular TV show that has recently made headlines for it’s originality and quick wit. However, a lot of this needs to be attributed to the very beautiful, very sexy, and very talented Sofia Vergara. She plays a mother and wife in one of the main families in the series, but nobody will deny that they enjoy watching her for her looks! Even if the dialogue is weak at times, this show is worth watching as long as Sofia Vergara is sporting a trendy blouse and tight jeans – wow, do I love popular TV.

8. Jessica Lowndes, from “90210”

Jessica is said to be, perhaps, the most talented actress on “90210”. However, she is also considered to be three times as talented as most of her peers – being not only a fabulous and beautiful actor, but also a singer and a writer at the same time. Jessica Lowndes is unique in the way that she can be so diverse. At one minute, she can be a very dark, sensual type of beautiful and the next, a light-hearted hottie. This girl has it going on in every department, no doubt.

9. Olivia Wilde, from “House MD”

When taking note of the hot women on TV today, you cannot forget Olivia Wilde. She has a natural star-quality to her, and a presence that just emanates sexiness. There is no doubt as to the fact that she is one of the top ten hottest women playing on popular TV to date, and she displays it with incredible finesse in the TV show “House MD”. In this show, she not only plays a thorough and interesting character, but she does it with a kind of casual beauty that is hard to find among actresses in these types of shows.
10. Jessica Stroup, from “90210”

Another hottie from this famous show, Jessica Stroup makes the screen glow with her sizzling personality and amazingly beauty. She is definitely not your run-of-the-mill tv actress – she is especially glamorous. She just has that star-like quality that causes her to rise head and shoulders over other women standing in the same room. From her perfectly formed eyes to her profound cheekbones, to her attractively sculpted body – this hottie has definitely earned her place in our top ten by being born beautiful.

Top 10 Craziest Sports

2011-04-01T23:55:00.002+05:00

Today i am going to show you the 10 Most Craziest And Extreme Sports. These Sports are one of the daring most sports that not even every person can do that. You need one big heart to do them. Here are the Top 10 Extreme Craziest Sports.

1. Volcano Boarding

Racing down an active 2,380 ft volcano at speeds of 50 mph with only a board for protection is considered by many thrill-seeking sports fanatics as the coolest sport around.

Thousands of travelers head to the foothills of Nicaragua's Cerro Negro mountain every year to take part in the new sporting craze. Surfers, dressed in protective jump suits, knee-pads and helmets, can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h (50mph) on their specially-constructed plywood boards. Since its creation, in 2005, the volcano boarding has attracted more than 10,000 participants.

2. Limbo Skating
For what may appear to be near-impossible, limbo-skating — roller skating under cars — is the latest rage in India, requiring the flexibility, strength and balance of a gymnast. Wonder-kid Aniket Chindak holds the unofficial world record for ‘limbo-skating' beneath 57 cars.

3. Train Surfing

Usually an illegal sport, train surfing involves riders climbing or "surfing" on the outside of a moving train or subway. The practice is a serious issue in South Africa, where many young people have been killed or injured. The 'sport' was made popular in the 1980s in Germany, where it was called "S-Bahn Surfing". The phenomenon was then forgotten, but in 2005 it was rediscovered by a gang from Frankfurt, Germany. The leader of the crew who called himself "The Trainrider" famously surfed the InterCityExpress, the fastest train in Germany.

4. Crocodile Bungee

Feeling jaded by garden-variety bungee jumping? You might consider imitating how these Aussies spice up the sport: bungee jumping into a body of water containing live crocodiles.

5. Cliff Diving

Adding a new dimension to the sport of diving, cliff diving is defined as the acrobatic perfection of diving into water from a high cliff. Braving the rough rocks, divers take a plunge in the hard-hitting water beneath to experience a thrill to last for a lifetime.

This dangerous sport originated from the Hawaiian Island of Lana´i in 1770. Kahekili, the king, demanded that his men leap off high cliffs and enter the water feet first without a splash, to prove their courage and loyalty. Today, after centuries, the activity has expanded into a sport that is marked by immense courage, focus, thrill and risk.

Cliff diving is one of the riskier kinds of diving; hence, extreme caution is a must. To the benefit of the divers, certain standards have been set to minimize the risk factor. Some of these include determining the height of the jump (23 – 28 meters for men, 18 – 23 meters for women), an ideal entering speed of 75 – 100 km/h, and a free fall time of 3 seconds.

6. Freestyle Powerisers Stilts

This is an up-and-coming extreme sport where you wear these things on your feet that are sort of a cross between low stilts and pogo sticks. The idea is to do stunts with them. It sounds a little boring until you see it.

7. Underwater Hockey

A little known sport, underwater hockey is what some divers like to do during the winter months when the outside water is too cold for diving. The sport was invented in Great Britain during the 1950's when some British divers were looking for ways to stay fit during the winter.

The game is played using nothing more than snorkeling equipment - and of course the stick, protective gear and gloves - which adds breathing as an important game factor, meaning players have to manage the oxygen in their body. The game is played at the bottom of the pool using a puck weighing over one kilogram. The sport is tough and tiring though it is not as bad for experienced divers capable of holding their breath for extensive periods of time. The sport is becoming increasingly popular around the world and some countries have formed national teams which take part in world championships.

8. AirKicking

In this strange extreme sport, a human catapult launches individuals over 26 feet in the air into a swimming pool or foam pit. AirKick works propeling participants through the air in a pre-calculated parabolic trajectory using a special combination of air pressure and water recoil technology. The participant sits in a specially constructed seat at the back end of the catapult arm and 3,2,1…liftoff! The participant himself sets the device in motion by pushing a button. Approximately 60 Liters of water are then forced through a rocket nozzle under the seat. This pressurized water (8 to 10 bar of air pressure) propels the participant 8 meters (26 ft) though the air for a cool and refreshing splash down in a swimming pool.

9. Slacklining

A balance sport, Slacklining utilizes nylon webbing stretched tight between two anchor points. It is distinct from tightrope walking in that the line is not held rigidly taut — it is instead dynamic, stretching and bouncing like a large rubber band. The line's tension can be adjusted to suit the performer and different types of dynamic webbing can be used to achieve a variety of feats. The line itself is flat, due to the nature of webbing, therefore keeping the slacker's footing from rolling as would be the case with an ordinary rope. The dynamic nature of the line allows for imposing tricks and stunts.

Christian Schou holds the Guinness World Record title for the highest slackline after crossins a Norwegian fjord in Kjerag, Norway at 3,280 feet (1000 meters) — the equivalent of 3 Eiffel towers high.

10. Zorbing Ball

Effectively throwing yourself down a slope in a giant ball, or ‘Zorbing”, is one of the latest extreme sport craze to sweep the world. This bizarre sport, invented in 2000, involves a giant plastic ball, which has two skins, one inside the other. The person zorbing is in the area between the skins, which is pumped up with air. The middle ball effectively suspends them on a cushion of air 700mm off the ground and the ball is then rolled down a hill.

Like a number of other extreme sports, such as bungee jumping, zorbing originated in New Zealand. There are two different ways to zorb - either harnessed inside the ball, or "hydrozorbing", which involves putting water in the ball, which zorbers can slide around on as it revolves.

Hot Bidding In Justin Bieber Hair Auction

2011-02-25T00:34:00.000+05:00

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A single lock of Justin Bieber's newly-shorn hair is being auctioned off for charity and bids had reached $6,700 on eBay early on Thursday.

The 16 year-old Canadian pop idol cut his trademark floppy hair earlier this week, and presented one of the locks to TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

"I'm giving pieces of it to different people," Bieber told DeGeneres. "We're doing something special. We want you to donate it to whatever charity you want."

DeGeneres put the hair, placed in a plexiglass box signed by Bieber, up for auction on Wednesday with all the proceeds to benefit the California animal rescue organization The Gentle Barn.
Bidding started at $10 and quickly reached $6,700. The auction will end on March 2.
Bieber's hair stylist told People magazine that the "Baby" singer had been talking for months about cutting his hair and adopting a more mature look.
"Cutting your hair is just part of the evolution and growing process for anyone, and I think he was just ready," stylist Vanessa Price told the magazine. "We've been talking about it over the last 6 months or so -- more or less, it's definitely been in the works for a while."

Brett Favre's Sister Arrested in Meth Raid

By : Adam Oestmann

Normally, my better judgment would get the best of me and I would never post such an article. But, this time around I felt slightly different...
It's hard to imagine going from where we... better yet, Brett Favre was just one year ago, to where he and his family are today.

In the span of one short year, NFL quarterback Brett Favre has gone from a feel-good story about a guy who "just wanted to play football," and coming back again to nearly win it all in an unprecedented season, to now being the center of tabloid journalism.

No, the stories about Brett Favre's infidelity are nothing new, but they were taken to new heights this year. What with all the fancy technology they're putting in mobile phones these days...
But, just when you thought the Favre name might just fizzle out, at least for a few years, a story breaks regarding Brett Favre's younger sister, Brandi Favre.

Undercover officers reportedly made a purchase from two suspects at a nearby gas station, which led to the arrest.
Favre, along with four others, were taken to the Hancock County Barn for decontamination, which included showers and the replacement of their clothes.
Following decontamination, they were booked and will be held pending initial appearances in Court at 9 AM Thursday.
It's apparently not the first time Brandi's had a run-in with the law. She's rumored to have been arrested for shoplifting and unlawful use of a weapon.
She faces jail time if convicted.

Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend not happy about his engagement

2011-01-12T17:41:00.000+05:00

The Associated Press, Wednesday, January 12, 2011, 3:01am (PST) NEW YORK (AP) -- Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend Holly Madison tells Life & Style magazine she's not OK with his engagement plans.

She says the 84-year-old Playboy magazine founder is "making a hasty decision" by getting engaged to 24-year-old Playmate Crystal Harris.

Madison tells Life & Style she arranged a meeting with the couple after reading on Twitter that Hefner had proposed. The meeting was filmed for her "Holly's World" reality show on the E! cable television channel. She says it was "definitely awkward."

With Barcelona players having a stranglehold on the final three-man shortlist for the new-look Fifa Ballon d'Or, there was saturation coverage in Spain of Monday's gala in Zurich.

Six television stations across Spain, as well as many internet sites, showed the event live but commentators, almost to a man and woman, were surprised when Lionel Messi was announced as the winner

In a close contest, Messí got 22.65% of the votes from the captains, coaches and journalists from Fifa's national federations, while Andres Iniesta finished second with 17.36% and Xavi Hernandez got 16.48%.

Even Messi himself, looking just ever so slightly uncomfortable in his Dolce & Gabbana suit, seemed rather embarrassed at the outcome.

Never the most verbose of individuals, he was almost lost for words at the presentation.concerned.

"I'm happy but I didn't expect it because everyone had been talking so much about Xavi and Andres," said Messi later, after collecting his thoughts. "They also deserved it for the wonderful year they had. They won the World Cup, which usually goes a long way to deciding who wins this award, and they both had big parts to play in that. That's why I thought one of them would be going up to collect the trophy. It was a wonderful surprise."

There had been the widespread assumption - very wrong as it turned out - that either Iniesta or Xavi would become the first Spanish-born winner of football's top individual prize since Luis Suarez won the old-style Ballon D'Or in 1960.

"Iniesta is the favourite," predicted the Barcelona-based sports daily El Mundo Deportivo on its front page on Monday. The rest of the Spanish media generally agreed, although public sentiment seemed to go with Xavi. A recent poll in the respected magazine Don Balon said 62% of the public thought Xavi should take the prize. Other polls last weekend broadly concurred.

Not surprisingly, there was more than a modicum of outrage at the result on Tuesday morning, with Spanish sports newspaper Marca proclaiming Messi as "an unjust winner", although anger was not levelled at the player himself.

The Argentine's fantastic skills and 34 goals, which gave him the European Golden Boot last season, would make him a worthy winner in most other years. However, many in Spain and elsewhere feel he was the least likely of the Barca trio to win this time around.

Spain captain Iker Casillas, who was also at the gala after being included in Fifa's Team of the Year, added his two-centimos worth and backed his compatriots, grumbling that the outcome was "a bit disappointing for Spaniards".

It was not only in Spain where there was an adverse reaction to the result. Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport made its feelings clear with its front page headline on Tuesday: "Messi? Nooo!"

Spaniards may feel hard done by but the more staid mainstream El Pais newspaper broadened the debate into one of national introspection. "Spain just doesn't carry any weight in polls," ran the headline, followed by a rather self-pitying editorial that contained the line: "Perhaps we should ask why Spain has lost all the global sports polls: the 2016 Olympic Games, the 2018 World Cup, the 2010 Ballon D'Or."

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the result, Messi is the first player since Hristo Stoichkov in 1994 to take the Ballon d'Or without being on the winning team at the World Cup in the same year (Brazil's Romario won the Fifa World Player of the Year in 1994).

You could also argue it was the first genuine surprise choice in recent years, possibly since Michael Owen took the Ballon D'Or in 2001, the year Luis Figo won the Fifa version of the trophy.
At least there was nothing like as much controversy over the Coach of the Year award, even though Spain missed out again. Few pundits begrudged Jose Mourinho his honour after achieving an unprecedented treble with Inter Milan, winning the domestic league and cup double on top of the Champions League.

It in no way diminishes the achievements of Vicente Del Bosque but it was broadly accepted the Spain coach took over an already established and outstanding group of players when he succeeded Luis Aragones in 2008 in the wake of the Euro 2008 triumph.

With Messi winning for the second year - it has to be said that there are few who would disagree that he was a worthy winner 12 months ago - it once again opens up the debate about how the award is decided.

Even though the three men on the shortlist have performed outstandingly, there are many people, including myself, who were surprised that Netherlands and Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder was not among the final trio.

It is probably the least of Fifa's worries right now, given the fallout from the decisions to award the 2018 and 2022 World Cups to Russia and Qatar respectively. However, Fifa president Sepp Blatter surely cannot be happy that many people have again been left feeling that football's world governing body falls short where credibility is concerned.
