Benefiting The Multiple Sclerosis Society

noreply@blogger.com (Kristen Andrews) — Tue, 02 Aug 2011 02:48:00 +0000

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a devastating disease. It is an unpredictable, immune-based disease that attacks the brain and spinal chord with symptoms including numbness, loss of balance and coordination, slurred speech, tremors, paralysis, and blindness. The cause is unknown and there is no cure. MS stops people from moving, and the National MS Society exists to make sure it doesn't by raising funds for research, as well as comprehensive programs and services for people with MS.

The signature MOVE IT necklace has been designed especially for this cause. The words, "MOVE IT," serve as a reminder that we are a powerful piece of the movement as we take steps (the shoe) towards a cure, while the orange dangle is the official color for MS awareness. The second dangle is left for you to personalize with a birthstone for yourself or whoever it is you honor or remember with MS.

10% of proceeds will be donated to the National MS Multiple Sclerosis Society Skinny Skippers Team.

Product detail:

The Move It necklace is a 3/4 inch sterling silver disc that has been hand stamped, the piece also includes a sterling silver shoe charm and two crystals one orange crystal and a birthstone month of your choice. All charms hang on a 18 inch sterling silver bead ball chain.

Dance in the rain...

noreply@blogger.com (Kristen Andrews) — Fri, 13 Aug 2010 21:31:00 +0000

The other day Will and I were all ready to go to the local pool and then it just started raining and my little guy said, "Hey Mom why don't we just play in the rain instead" It reminded me of the below quote.

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." anonymous.

You can learn a lot from a little guy!

The Dance in the rain necklace is new and available in my shop. So the next time it rains maybe look at it a little differently.
