By the way before we do any cleaning process we must make sure Window Power Expansion is stop running. As say above Window Power Expansion will try to block any other program from run. To do this please download Rkill sometimes call iExplorer.exe. Click to download here.

Just double-click iExplorer.exe and if we lucky Window Power Expansion will stop running instanly. But if we get fake warning given by Windows Power Expansion just ignore it and don't close the warning window. Try run Rkill until the Window Power Expansion stop running.

1.The best way to get all our driver laptop is from driver CD that coming along when we buy the laptop. Most all new laptop today already preinstall with OS and driver. Doing back up is smart move in case the laptop need to reformat.

2.If we don’t have the driver CD we can download the driver from manufacturer website. All we need to know is the laptop model or serial number.

3.We also can use driver pack CD like Cobra Driver Pack or Driver Solution Pack. We can download it for free. If the driver we need contain in the CD we can install directly but if the driver not in the CD we can use Installation Via Internet.

4. Other option is use driver update software like Driver Genius, Device Doctor, DriverMax and etc. Most of the software is freeware. This software will search and update driver from the internet.

5. In most cases there is certain driver that hard to find like Unknown driver, PCI devices and Other devices. There problem to hunting down this driver is we don’t know exactly what the meaning of the driver. So here the guide to find these driver.

i. Go to My Computer right click and select Properties. At the Hardware tab click Device Manager. At the mark driver right click and select Properties. Under the Detail tab chose Hardware lds. Write down the Vendor and Device PID number.

ii. Open your browser type this website address pcidatabase.com or just click the name. Fill the vendor and device with our PID number and press enter. Now we got idea what our drivers stand for.

iii. We can use pcidatabase.com not only for unknown driver but instead for other driver. For example to know what vendor our wireless is Broadcom or Atheros and bla bla bla …

Boot Into Safe Mode

1. Most computer using F8, if not working...

2. Click Run. Type in msconfig. Select tab Boot. At the Boot options select Safe boot. Once restart computer go directly to safe mode.

3. Another option, When Windows is beginning to load, hold the computers power button until the computer shuts down. When we power on the computer again it should start up with an option screen asking if we would like to start windows normally or in safe mode.

Firefox got error suddenly each time I wanna use it. After a little google here is the trick

1. Open Firefox click Tools
2. Click Add-ons
3. Click Extension
4. Find Ask.com and click Remove.

Clear MBR Partition

Use diskpart to clean the harddisk.

1. Go to My Computer, right click and click manage. Under Storage menu click Disk Management. Make sure the harddisk is online. If ofline just right click and click online.
2. Open cmd type diskpart
3. Type list disk press Enter. It will list all harddisk that connected to your laptop.
4. Type select disk 1 press Enter. ( in my case disk 1 is the problem )
5. Type clean all press Enter.
6. exit cmd.

The disk will be left as unallocated space. We need to create new partition to be able to use it again.

Delete Blog At Blogspot

Default Gateway Missing After Restart

If we suddenly cannot access the internet, one that might caused the problem is your default gateway is going missing. We can fix it by enter the correct number but if the default gateway still missing each time we restart the computer it really annoying. So we might try to reset TCP/IP protocol using netst command.

1. Open cmd and type netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
2. Reboot computer.
3. Set IP address again.

Create Partition For Vista/Win7

New laptop today that coming with OS normally got only partition C. We can split that partition using Shrink option. However for Win7, maximum partition can be create only 4 including hidden partition.

1. Right click My Computer and click Manage
2.Under Storage menu click Disk management. Here we can see our partition including the hidden once.
3. To split C drive, just right click and enter Shrink. After done Shrink normally the new partition is unallocated space, so we need to format first and don't forget to assign drive letter.

Remove Questscan at Firefox

If you get infected by questscan when you type at address bar it will go directly to questscan.com instead of your search result.

1. Uninstall it, go to c:\Program Files\QuestScan\Uninstall.exe.
2. Remove the plugin. Type about:config at Firefox address bar. Type keyword.URL at the filter input box. Right click on this preference line and select Reset from the pop-up menu.

Delete Autorun.inf Using Cmd

Autorun.inf usually appear in thumbdrive,

Open your cmd and type this command

1. cd "your drive letter": Enter
2. dir /a/w Enter
3. attrib -h -r -s /s /d "your drive letter":\*.* Enter
4. del autorun.inf Enter

This command also can be used to delete virus.exe. If you want to know each meaning of the command just type ' help "your command" ' at cmd.
