The cake stand is an easy DIY idea! I have this beautiful plate from my great-grandma, and this candle holder I never used. I decided to dip the bottom of the candleholder in paint and let it dry for a day or two. Then I set the beautiful plate on top, making a new cake plate! I did add a bit of hot glue to the bottom of the plate to make sure it wouldn't get scooted off the base.

Jana here with a breakfast smoothie that is delicious! My kids love to help me make smoothies in the morning. They like to think of fun combinations, and things we can add to make them yummy! Since they are only 2 and 4 years old, some of their ingredient suggestions are 'creative', but don't fall into the yummy category! I saw this recipe for an Apple Cinnamon smoothie on Pinterest, and

Kale Fruit Salad

Hi everyone! Today's recipe is incredibly easy and definitely one you'll want to repeat. As most of you know I have two under two! So, dinner prep time can sometimes be a challenge. But let's be honest, having any children at all makes dinner prep sometimes challenging. Everyone is hungry and waiting! I am lucky that my almost two-year old loves fish. For this particular recipe I used a

Shrimp Enchilada Soup

Jana here with a soup recipe from a Southern Living cookbook! Sometimes I wish I could capture in the picture I take how good a recipe was! Usually if I'm not happy with my picture, I won't even post the recipe. But we liked this one too much not to share! It has a mexican flair, but also shrimp as an ingredient. Such a good combination!

We used carrots, onion, sweet red peppers, and garlic for our main additions, but this could easily be adapted for your preference or what you

100% Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns {freezer friendly - makes 15 buns}

Becca here with a recipe I was thrilled to discover! We enjoy eating the occasional hamburger at home, but the healthier hamburger buns can be quite expensive, and still have a few questionable ingredients. This recipe was the first one that we've really loved! I doubled the original recipe, and use it to make 15 hamburger buns. We eat some that day, and I freeze the rest, unbaked, in 2

DIY Decorative Kitchen Shelf

Hi everyone! I'd like to share an easy way to incorporate some of your favorite kitchen items into your decor without putting holes in the walls with multiple nails. Or maybe I'm the only one who has trouble with putting too many nail holes in the wall. Either way, this idea is easy and a great way to show off your favorite mugs, bowls, etc without having to hang a shelf on a wall!

Sara here with a fun dinner idea!

One night we celebrated.

Wondering what we were celebrating?

Well, nothing really. The arrival of the
weekend I suppose...

I really just wanted to put a bunch of candles
on the table to make the night feel special.

We had a tasty dinner too...

Baked Dijon Salmon, baked sweet potatoes, green beans, and
salad.
