Recently I have reached some size threshold in the LR database for which there is a performance penalty being paid on the 5200 rpm Passport. As I see it I can either reduce the size of the library that I carry around or look for a more optimal solution. Reducing the size seems a hassle.<br /><br />I intend to test out the <a href="http://www.lacie.com/us/products/product.htm?pid=10997">Lacie Rugged All-Terrain Drive</a>. From the specs, this drive supports FireWire 800 and is 7200rpm.
