National University

Select time limitation for National University(NU) to publish examination result quickly. According to new time plan, NU have to publish the examination result of honours within 60days from the date of ending exam. With this NU also have to decrease the Session Jam. A direction has been sent to National University by Ministry of Education on 11May, 2011.

In the present time, NU need 90 to 150day to publish the results of honours. As a result, The session Jam of NU is increasing day by day. Also, A student need 7 to 8 years to complete 4years Honours course under NU.

For this reason of session, Every student have loss 3 or 4 valuable years from there life…..

The securities regulator further allowed MJL Bangladesh two weeks more time to be listed with the bourses On Wednesday, 18 May, 2011.

The regulator granted the extension as the company authorities earlier applied to the regulator seeking four weeks more for the purpose which is informed by An official of the SEC.

On April 21 the regulator allowed two weeks to the MJL authorities for the purpose.

Since, the bourses refused to accept their listing proposal due to overpriced. Hence, the MJL authorities failed to meet the deadline.

Under the book building system, MJL Bangladesh offloaded 40 million shares with an offer price of Tk 152.40, including a premium of Tk 142.40 each, against Tk 10.

The listing proposal of MI Cement has been finally approved by The board of directors of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). The company will start trading in DSE Sunday, 22May 2011.

Chairman of the SEC Dr. M. Khairul Hossain also directed the DSE authorities to approve MI Cement listing proposal by supporting the views of his predecessor.

On Wednesday, 18 May 21, 2011 The DSE board approved the listing proposal following a meeting with the newly appointed chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The DSE was directed twice to approve MI Cement listing in line with a provision of Securities and Exchange Commission Ordinance, 1969 by the SEC, Under the chairmanship of Ziaul Huq Khondoker.

At last, the DSE board decided to give the final approval after holding discussion with the newly appointed SEC chairman Dr. M. Khairul Hossain.

However, the company was started trading Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on 8 May, 2011.

US cancels results of DV-2012

The US Department of State has declared that all selection results for Diversity Visa Lottery’2012 published worldwide in early May are now void or cancel.

The Department said in an announcement that, "We regret to inform you that, with a view to a computer programming problem, the results of the 2012 Diversity Lottery that were early published on this website have been voided." They also said that, "They were not valid and were posted in error."

The results were not valid because they did not show a fair, random selection of entrants, as required by U.S. law.

"If you checked this website during the first week in May,2011 and found a notice that you had been selected for further processing or a notice that you had not been selected, that notice has been rescinded and is no longer valid."

The US embassy in Dhaka also published a statement on Thursday announcing or declaring the results is "void".

The results of the new selection process for the 2012 Diversity Lottery programme, will be available on the website on July 15, 2011(http://www.dvlottery.state.gov./).

The embassy said that, “Entries to the lottery keep valid and there is no need for re-applying”. The also said that, “The confirmation number to check results also remains valid”.

Approximately 15 million people had entered the 2012 Diversity Lottery expecting to win in one of 50,000 US immigrant visas available under a wild-card programme.

But yet, DSE has not taken decision for listing MI cement. So the investors or who get the IPO of MI cement by applying through DSE listed brokerage house are now in suspension or uncertainty.

It is informed by DSE that Today morning, the transaction of MI cement share has been started at CSE building on Yunus towre, Mothizil.

Osama bin Laden has been died which is confirmed by Al-Qaeda yesterday in an Internet message that vowed revenge on the United States and its allies, including Pakistan.

After Five days, President Barack Obama declared bin Laden's death in a US raid in Pakistan, the Islamist militant group confirmed the death of its leader as a historic moment, and vowed not to deviate from the path of armed struggle.

It was also said yesterday by Us officials that extensive surveillance of bin Laden's hideout from a nearby CIA safe house in Abbottabad led to his killing in a Navy SEAL operation, a revelation likely to further embarrass Pakistan's spy agency and strain ties. And, intelligence gathered from computer files and documents seized at his compound showed bin Laden had for years orchestrated al-Qaeda attacks from the Pakistani town and may have been planning a strike on the US rail sector this year, the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

THE MESSAGE

"In a historic day for the great Islamic nation the mujahid (holy warrior) Shiekh Abu Abdullah, Osama bin Mohammed bin Laden, was killed on the path taken by those before him and will be taken by others after him, God have mercy on him." reads the al-Qaeda massage.

"Congratulations to the Islamic umma for the martyrdom of its son Osama."

The global militant group had said it will soon release an audio tape made by its leader a week before he died, vowed not to deviate from the path of armed struggle and said bin Laden's blood "is more precious to us and to every Muslim than to be wasted in vain."

Al-Qaeda said that "Their happiness will turn into sorrow, and their blood will be mixed with their tears."

Also said that "We call upon our Muslim people in Pakistan, on whose land Sheikh Osama was killed, to rise up and revolt to cleanse this shame that has been attached to them by a clique of traitors and thieves ... and in general to cleanse their country from the filth of the Americans who spread corruption in it."

The al-Qaeda statement also urged the United States to treat the bodies of Osama bin Laden and those killed with him in the raid with care, and to return their bodies.

It also said that, "We warn the Americans not to harm the corpse of the sheikh or expose it to any indecent treatment or to harm any members of his family, living or dead, and to deliver the corpses to their families."

"Any harm done will open the doors of evil upon you doubly, and you will not have anyone but yourselves to blame."

We use Pen-drive to transfer data or file from one pc to another pc. To spread virus, Pen-drive is a uses media. When we attach a pen-drive to transfer data or file then pen-drive (Autorun or Autoplay) has been opened automatically in computer and the virus of pen-drive spread in computer…..

We can stop this at computer before attach a pen-drive at computer.

How To stop “Auto Play” or “Autorun”

Step#1:

Click at Start menu > Run

Then open Run Window Write “gpedit.msc” and click Ok.

Click Administrative Templates > System

Then you at the right sight a option “Turn off auto play” Double click on this and you will get a new window.

From this, Select the “Enable” tab and then select “All Drives” at Turn off auto play on.

01. A small team of U.S. commandos assaulted a compound in the town of Abbottabad near the capital Islamabad on Monday with orders to capture or kill bin Laden.

02. U.S. military personnel flew in on two helicopters, one of which suffered mechanical problems and was later destroyed. The team methodically cleared the compound, moving from room to room in an operation lasting nearly 40 minutes. They were engaged in a firefight throughout the operation. 03. In addition to the bin Laden family, two other families lived in the compound — one family on the first floor of the bin Laden building and one family in a second building. One team began the operation on the first floor of the bin Laden house and worked their way to the third floor. A second team cleared the separate building.

04. On the first floor of bin Laden's building, two al Qaeda couriers were killed along with a woman who was shot in cross-fire. Bin Laden and his family were found on the second and third floor of the building.

05. In the room with bin Laden, a woman — bin Laden's wife — rushed a US commando and was shot in the leg but not killed. Bin Laden was then shot and killed. He was unarmed.

06. A third helicopter flew in to replace the destroyed one, and the team departed via the helicopters to the USS Carl Vinson in the North Arabian Sea.

07. Aboard the USS Carl Vinson, Islamic rites were observed in disposing of the al Qaeda leader's body.

His body was washed, wrapped in a white sheet and placed in a weighted bag. A military officer read prepared religious remarks, which were translated into Arabic by a native speaker. The bag was then placed on a flat board that was tipped up, and bin Laden's body was eased into the sea.

EX India captain Sourav Ganguly, who went unsold in the players' auction, has been signed up by debutants Pune Warriors for the remainder of the Indian Premier League's fourth season, a team official said on Tuesday.

Ganguly is played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the first three editions of the IPL and has been roped in by the Pune outfit as a replacement for injured placeman Ashish Nehra, who was ruled out with a finger injury.

Pune team director Abhijit Sarkar told on Tuesday,"We signed him up yesterday night. We were in touch with Sourav but we were waiting for Nehra's report which arrived yesterday,"

The Yuvraj Singh-led Pune Warriors, languishing at the bottom of the table after six losses on the trot. He will play table toppers Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.

Lefthander Ganguly is one of India's most prolific batsmen and retired from international cricket in 2008. He was listed with a base price of $400,000 in the players' auction.

MJL Keeps Two Offers for Listing.............

The SEC could not decide on the listing of MJL Bangladesh Ltd yesterday, as the listing conditions are yet to be settled.

The SEC, Dhaka Stock Exchange, Chittagong Stock Exchange and MJL discussed the listing issue yesterday in a meeting, chaired by SEC Chairman Ziaul Haque Khondker. MJL put forward two offers in an effort to list on the bourses.

An SEC official said, "The offers are cash dividends to primary shareholders and compensation to investors if the share prices go below the offer price within the first six months of trading."

In its next move, the company might offer more than 100 percent cash dividends and 15 percent to 20 percent compensation to the shareholders, the SEC official added. Azam J Chowdhury, managing director of MJL said that “After approval from the board meeting we will submit a letter to the SEC,”

“We are very optimistic about the listing,” he added.

Meanwhile, stocks returned to the red yesterday as the investors became nervous on the current market situation. The benchmark general index of Dhaka Stock Exchange lost 32 points, or 0.53 percent, to close at 6,050 points, while the selective categories index of Chittagong Stock Exchange slumped 28 points, or 0.25 percent, to 10,913.

Lankabangla Securities in its daily market analysis said that, “Dhaka stocks started on a positive note adding more than 100 points but turned bearish as the session progressed. Investors are yet to be confident as many recommendations of probe report are still pending.”

Of the total 252 issues traded on the DSE floor, 181 declined, 68 advanced and three remained unchanged. Turnover on the DSE stood at Tk 666 crore, up Tk 159.31 crore from the previous day.
