Xtina loves Your Body

2012-09-29T00:31:00.001-04:00

She is back!!

Check out the new video from Christina Aguilera. This is the first single from her new album, Lotus, which will be released Nov. 13th. The video looks fun, very colourful and it's getting positive reviews....way to go miss Xtina!

I tried getting my co-workers to watch the video for Dirrty, but they said it was inappropriate. I don't see what they mean...hahaha

Cheryl - Call My Name

2012-05-02T23:09:00.003-04:00

Cheryl Cole's new video for 'Call My Name' has premiered.

I like the song and I like the video. Yeah the song sounds a bit similar to another song, but oh well, the song is still catchy and good...specially for summer time. I hope it does well for miss Cheryl. Some of you may know her as the one who got kicked off The X Factor US, which I think it was a big mistake. Cheryl Cole was soooo much better than Nicole Scherzinger (who also got fired later on).

I hope miss Cheryl can make it big in North America :) with her third solo album, A Million Lights, coming out June 18th, 2012.

Check out the video for her new song, 'Call My Name.' Enjoy...

It All Belongs To Me - Brandy & Monica

2012-03-07T00:03:00.003-05:00

The video is out. I like! Both Brandy and Monica look damn good...and to think it's almost 14 years later...wow!!

Promise - Romeo Santos ft Usher

2012-03-03T16:15:00.001-05:00

This song I like! I have been hearing it a lot for the last two weeks. Check out Romeo (From the group Aventura) and Usher singing Promise.

Here is the video. Its ok...I really hate the first minute, so pointless and annoying. ok bro..ok man...ok playboy. I still like the song though...so enjoy...

David Guetta Feat.Sia - Titanium

2012-02-25T16:47:00.003-05:00

Here is my favourite song, 'Titanium,' from David Guetta's CD, Nothing But the Beat. Love the beat and love Sia's voice!!

Enjoy!

Jay-Z & Kanye West : Ni**** In Paris

2012-02-10T00:38:00.000-05:00

I love this song! I really like the beat. The video just came out and I am not really feeling it. It's not creative, it looks cheap, and like no effort was put into it. Also, be careful if you have weak eyes when watching the video.

BOB MARLEY - JAMMING

2012-02-06T23:35:00.002-05:00

Happy B-Day Bob Marley!

In honour of his birthday, I would like to share this song with you all. I hear this song all the time (every week). I hear it at random times, which is kind of strange. Sometimes in the morning when I am listening to radio, at night when I check my alarm, at work, or at a store...it's everywhere.

Enjoy...

Monica & Brandy - It All Belongs To Me

2012-02-06T23:29:00.000-05:00

Do you remember this....

The Boy is Mine was a big back in the day. It went to number on the Billboard charts for 13 weeks. The song also won a Grammy.

Brandy and Monica are back with "It All Belongs To Me." Its the new single promoting the upcoming albums from both artists. I hope the song does well.

Madonna: Give Me All Your Luvin' (Feat. M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj)

2012-02-04T16:32:00.000-05:00

With all the buzz leading up to the new song and video, I'm kind of disappointed. The song is definitely not a touchdown!! Also, why are Nicki Minaj and M.I.A featured on the song, with two lines to sing/rap they don't contribute much. Maybe with time the song will grow on me.

Hopefully the half-time show will be good!

Christina Aguilera At Etta James Funeral

2012-02-04T15:59:00.003-05:00

Christina Aguilera sang "At Last" at Etta James funeral...all I got to say is OMJ WOW!!!

Extra Large Timmy's

2012-01-25T12:31:00.001-05:00

For $2 you get the new 24oz extra large coffee. You can see from the above pic that the cup's height is more than half of a normal size paper (8.5" x 11"). I overheard my co-worker saying it was enormous, but to me its not. In comparison to their previous tiny offerings it is giant, but really its just tall. Anyways, for two dollars it’s a good deal.

Tim Hortons New Cup Sizes

2012-01-23T13:18:00.000-05:00

The new cup sizes at Tim Hortons have started…It was about time!! Their cups were too small…I was done my coffee in like two sips. OMJ, the small cup was jokes. It’s a much needed move on Timmy’s part and I am sure it will be more competitive against other coffee providers (i.e. McDonald’s…their cup sizes are awesome).

For those who like going to Tim Hortons you have until Feb. 5th to do a survey and enter to win free coffee for a year. Go to www.timhortons.com/cupsizesurvey to enter.

2012 People's Choice Awards

2012-01-12T01:09:00.001-05:00

I saw parts of the 2012 People's Choice Awards because Kaley Cuoco (from The Big Bang Theory) was hosting it. She did a good job as host, she is quirky and fun.

Overall the awards show was ok but you can pretty much tell who is going to win...most of the time only the winners show up. If you see a singer/actor/reality star/tv host in the audience, you pretty much know already they are going to win in whatever category they are nominated in.

The big winners of the night were Katy Perry and Harry Potter. Congrats to them and all the other winners. If you want to see the complete winners list check out zap2it website.

Also, watch The Big Bang Theory at 8pm on Thursdays on CBS/CTV.

Talk That Talk

2012-01-11T01:13:00.000-05:00

Rihanna and her team have decided to go with "Talk That Talk" featuring Jay Z for her third single. I am assuming they are hoping for another success like 'Umbrella.' I don't that will happen. The song is ok but it doesn't have a strong appeal for radio.

Above is the cover art for the single, which was just released by her team. Below you can listen to the song and see for yourself if it will do well:

Her second single, "You Da One," is not doing well on radio or the charts and that's why it seems like Rihanna's label is rushing the release of "Talk That Talk." I think that they should have released "Where Have You Been" if they wanted to keep the momentum going from her first single "We Found Love." They could have also gone with "Cockiness," which is different and fun.

All the best with "Talk That Talk" and hopefully the video is good!

Top Albums of 2011

2012-01-05T00:29:00.005-05:00

Billboard has listed their top ten albums of 2011 and the top three are:

#3. 'Watch The Throne' by Jay-Z & Kanye West

#2. 'Bon Iver' by Bon Iver

#1. '21' by Adele

I agree with the number choice. Adele had the biggest selling album of the year and people really like the album - it's something they can relate to.

For the complete list check out Billboard.com

Top Singles of 2011

2012-01-03T23:43:00.002-05:00

Billboard has counted down the top twenty singles of 2011 and according to critics, the top 3 songs were:

#3. Til The World Ends by Britney Spears

#2. Someone Like You by Adele

#1. Super Bass by Nicki Minaj

I like all three songs, but I don't think I completely agree. I think I would be more ok with the list if Adele was at number one. Super Bass is a good song, but I like other songs on Nicki Minaj's album way more. Anyways, congrats to all the artists!

To check out the full list go to www.billboard.com. Again, I don't fully agree with the list. Some songs that don't belong on the list are:

Look At Me Now by Chris Brown - I find the song annoying and there were better songs on his album that could have been on the list

Countdown by Beyonce - this song is ok but again there are better songs on her album (like two songs..ok maybe one...ok forget it none, I am not a fan of her latest CD)

A song that should have placed higher on the list is Take Care by Drake Featuring Rihanna - I really like the song, it's one of my favourites from his album. I think the song should have been in the top ten...at least.

Go to Billboard's website for the full list.

New Shows

2011-12-29T23:31:00.000-05:00

Two new shows that seem interesting and that I will be checking out come January 2012 are The Firm and Alcatraz.

The Firm debuts on January 8 on NBC and Global. The show is based on the novel by the same name written by John Grisham. Given that the novel was a best-seller and the amount of promotion it's getting by NBC and Global, the show has a good shot at doing well in the ratings.

If you look closely and you been outside commerce court, you can tell that some scenes were shot in down town Toronto.

&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;

&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/ifr&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;

Alcatraz will premier on Fox on January 16, 2012. One of the reasons I am interested in watching the show is because of its premise (check out the promo below). The other reason is because some of the people - J. J. Abrams, Elizabeth Sarnoff, Jack Bender - who were behind Lost are also behind Alcatraz, so there is hope the show will be good. Also, it doesn't hurt that it was an honoree at the Critic's Choice TV Awards.

&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;&amp;amp;lt;/ifr &amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;

Fear Factor 2011

2011-12-29T00:08:00.000-05:00

I can't believe I have been missing Fear Factor. After so many years off the air, it is back on NBC. I use to enjoy watching it...until NBC starting airing it everyday. Anyways, it is back on Monday nights at 9pm on NBC.

Fireball - Willow featuring Nicki Minaj

2011-12-28T02:09:00.001-05:00

Here is the latest song, 'Fireball,' from Willow Smith. I am not really feeling this song or video. Even Nicki Minaj can't save the song. The song is not catchy and the video is not creative. The label is trying to make her as successful as Justin Bieber, but with this kind of song I don't really see that happening. I hope her next single and video are better because I did enjoy 'Whip My Hair.' Check out all her music videos below....enjoy.

Here is my favourite....I whip my hair back and forth. I whip my hair back and forth...hahahaha
