Meditation refers to a state where your body and mind are consciously relaxed and focused. Practitioners of this art report increased awareness, focus, and concentration, as well as a more positive outlook in life.

Meditation is most commonly associated with monks, mystics and other spiritual disciplines. However, you don’t have to be a monk or mystic to enjoy its benefits.
And you don’t even have to be in a special place to practice it. You could even try it in your own living room!

Although there are many different approaches to meditation, the fundamental principles remain the same. The most important among these principles is that of removing obstructive, negative, and wandering thoughts and fantasies, and calming the mind with a deep sense of focus.
This clears the mind of debris and prepares it for a higher quality of activity.

The negative thoughts you have – those of noisy neighbors, bossy officemates, that parking ticket you got, and unwanted spam– are said to contribute to the ‘polluting’ of the mind, and shutting them out is allows for the ‘cleansing’ of the mind so that it may focus on deeper, more meaningful thoughts.

Some practitioners even shut out all sensory input – no sights, no sounds, and nothing to touch – and try to detach themselves from the commotion around them. You may now focus on a deep, profound thought if this is your goal. It may seem deafening at first, since we are all too accustomed to constantly hearing and seeing things, but as you continue this exercise you will find yourself becoming more aware of everything around you.

If you find the meditating positions you see on television threatening – those with impossibly arched backs, and painful-looking contortions – you need not worry.
The principle here is to be in a comfortable position conducive to concentration.
This may be while sitting cross-legged, standing, lying down, and even walking.

If the position allows you to relax and focus, then that would be a good starting point. While sitting or standing, the back should be straight, but not tense or tight. In other positions, the only no-no is slouching and falling asleep.

Loose, comfortable clothes help a lot in the process since tight fitting clothes have a tendency to choke you up and make you feel tense.

The place you perform meditation should have a soothing atmosphere. It may be in your living room, or bedroom, or any place that you feel comfortable in. You might want an exercise mat if you plan to take on the more challenging positions (if you feel more focused doing so, and if the contortionist in you is screaming for release).
You may want to have the place arranged so that it is soothing to your senses.

Silence helps most people relax and meditate, so you may want a quiet, isolated area far from the ringing of the phone or the humming of the washing machine. Pleasing scents also help in that regard, so stocking up on aromatic candles isn’t such a bad idea either.

The monks you see on television making those monotonous sounds are actually performing their mantra. This, in simple terms, is a short creed, a simple sound which, for these practitioners, holds a mystic value.

You do not need to perform such; however, it would pay to note that focusing on repeated actions such as breathing, and humming help the practitioner enter a higher state of consciousness.
The principle here is focus. You could also try focusing on a certain object or thought, or even, while keeping your eyes open, focus on a single sight.

One sample routine would be to – while in a meditative state – silently name every part of you body and focusing your consciousness on that part.
While doing this you should be aware of any tension on any part of your body. Mentally visualize releasing this tension. It works wonders.

In all, meditation is a relatively risk-free practice and its benefits are well worth the effort (or non-effort – remember we’re relaxing).

Studies have shown that meditation does bring about beneficial physiologic effects to the body.
And there has been a growing consensus in the medical community to further study the effects of such. So in the near future, who knows, that mystical, esoteric thing we call meditation might become a science itself!

The whole idea of the law of attraction

is to be a co creator with God in manifesting

the things that are deepest to your heart.

When you use the law of attraction in the

right way you can experience manifesting you

r desires at a much faster rate than you ever

would have had you not made the effort

to use it correctly.

You can use the law of attraction to manifest

faster results by taking the following steps.

1. Be Grateful Now Gratitude can dramatically change your life but best of all it gets the law of attraction

to give you more of what you are feeling grateful and happy for.

When you are feeling frustrated and down the law of attraction gives you more reasons to feel down.

You manifest more situations that make you feel unhappy. So as the first rule to manifesting faster

results begin to see all the things in your present life that you are grateful for no matter how simple it is.

2. Speak of It

It may seem hypocritical at first when you learn of the law of attraction

to speak of your desires as if they are already here. In reality all things

are already created. The moment a thought is conceived you have brought it into

your reality. The more you speak of that thought the stronger it becomes and the

faster it moves into your state of being. Think of a child who becomes eager

about the thing he or she wants. See how eager they are about it? They look up

pictures about it, they speak about what they will do when they get it.

They don’t worry about how or when it will come, they just know and above all they

are excited about it. Speak with joy about what will come into your life because

your words and thoughts about it feeds that creation and brings it to you faster.

3. Surround Yourself With The Things You Desire

You maybe asking, how can I surround myself with the things that I want if

I don’t have it? It may not be yours at the moment but you can borrow, you can

visit, above all you can place yourself in the environment and among the

people who are closely link to the things you desire. The successful

application of the law of attraction depends on you already being in that energy

of what you want. It is up to you to create the state that you want to attract

and you do so by being among the things that you want until it is fully yours.

The law of attraction will give you quite easily what you bring into your focus,

whether you are speaking of it or observing it. You get more of what you

surround yourself with.

4. Let Go!!!
Let go of what you want. Yes, let it go. Know that you desire to experience

a particular thing but don’t hold on out of fear of doubt. The more you cling

on to the needing or wanting feeling the more disastrous your manifesting will be.

You will only succeed in feeling more needy. Allowyourself to feel full

and confident. Those who understand how the universe and the laws of attraction

work easily understand the power of their intention and don’t feel stress

or needy. They create and know that the law of attraction is working for them

and what they create will soon manifest. They create then let go and move

into the state of receiving.

There is a great paradox that comes with letting go because a very large part

of manifesting requires that you give a lot of focus to your desire but there

is a delicate balancing act of focus without feeling needy or being clingy.

5. Learn to Receive

To activate the law of attraction you must move into the state of receiving.

This is something most people cannot do.

Many people say that they want certain things but few people know how to receive those things

that they are asking for.

Most people feel doubtful or unworthy about what they want. Deep within they

feel that they do not deserve nor will they get what they are asking for.

Those tiny feeling of unworthiness are giant blocks in the manifesting process

and can only serve in destroying what you are hoping to attract.

The law of attraction is a science that takes you deep into your inner nature

and allows you to see where you are feeling disconnected as a co-creator

with God and the universe. Become worthy and allow yourself to receive.

6. Become Worthy Now

Become worthy by recognizing that you can manifest anything that you want because

you are Gods and Goddesses and what you desire is only a tiny speck in the

universe. You deserve to manifest what you want because when you are rich you

influence those around you in positive ways. When you use the law of attraction

to manifest a better life you are in the flow and in a better state of adding

value to the world. The faster you can feel worthy of what you desire to

manifest the faster it will come.

One of the biggest blocks in manifesting is the feeling of unworthiness that

most people feel. God wants you to have, the universe is great enough and there

is more than enough for you and everyone else. You are worthy!.

7. Give What You Desire Most

You may not have all the money in the world for yourself but you do have something

of value and that thing which is of value to you may be in scarce supply to

someone else. Give to others and you will be stunned and amazed by how fast the

law of attraction will manifest abundance in your life.

There is a natural flow in the universe and in order to manifest more you must

also be in the flow of giving. Give to others as long as you do not give more

of yourself. There are many flawed concepts of giving more than you have,

this is very faulty. Give only what you can, never ever deplete yourself.

Give what makes you feel happy to give. Give with love on a regular basis

but also be aware of conserving your own and the law of attraction will bless

you by bringing to you much more than you give. As you give you will get and

you will manifest much more than you could ever have imagined and much faster too.

The first thing everyone wants to know after watching the move the secret is,

“How do I sue the Secret?” That’s understandable because although the movie

is good and it does introduce you to the law of attraction it does not quite

tell you how to properly apply it to your life.

The First Step

One of the first things you can do in using the secret law of attraction in y our

life is to educate yourself as much as possible on the subject of the law of

attraction. Learn the very nature of the law of attraction and how it influences

your life.

The core of the secret, are your thoughts which goes a lot deeper than negative

verses positive thought. If you understood the truly nature of thought you

would be a huge step above those who think they understand the law of attraction.

The Second Step

The second step to mastering the secret law of attraction is to get a journal

and begin to write. Do you know most people have no clue what their predominant

thought patters is, nor do they even know what it is that they want.

When you get a journal you can begin to explore your feelings on a much deeper

level. Seeing your feelings on paper clears it up from being cluttered in

your mind.

The Third Step

The third step to using the secret law of attraction is to take small inspired

action towards your goals. With your new law of attraction journal you can begin

to track daily every action you take that is in alignment with your goals.

Its very hard for most people to be aware of the way they spend their time.

When you set a specific plan and track it in your journal you have a better

change of seeing how your week has gone, your month and then your year.

Much time can pass with many of us taking the same tiresome actions that get us

the same lousy results again and again. Then many people say that the law of

attraction did not work in their lives but actually the law of attraction did

work. It simply worked to give you more of the same conditions you were

creating again and again.

You can use the law of attraction to manifest faster results by taking the following steps. 1. Be Grateful Now Gratitude can dramatically change your life but best of all it gets the law of attraction to give you more of what you are feeling grateful and happy for. When you are feeling frustrated and down the law of attraction gives you more reasons to feel down. You manifest more situations that make you feel unhappy. So as the first rule to manifesting faster results begin to see all the things in your present life that you are grateful for no matter how simple it is. 2. Speak of It It may seem hypocritical at first when you learn of the law of attraction to speak of your desires as if they are already here. In reality all things are already created. The moment a thought is conceived you have brought it into your reality. The more you speak of that thought the stronger it becomes and the faster it moves into your state of being. Think of a child who becomes eager about the thing he or she wants. See how eager they are about it? They look up pictures about it, they speak about what they will do when they get it. They don’t worry about how or when it will come, they just know and above all they are excited about it. Speak with joy about what will come into your life because your words and thoughts about it feeds that creation and brings it to you faster. 3. Surround Yourself With The Things You Desire You maybe asking, how can I surround myself with the things that I want if I don’t have it? It may not be yours at the moment but you can borrow, you can visit, above all you can place yourself in the environment and among the people who are closely link to the things you desire. The successful application of the law of attraction depends on you already being in that energy of what you want. It is up to you to create the state that you want to attract and you do so by being among the things that you want until it is fully yours. The law of attraction will give you quite easily what you bring into your focus, whether you are speaking of it or observing it. You get more of what you surround yourself with. 4. Let Go!!! Let go of what you want. Yes, let it go. Know that you desire to experience a particular thing but don’t hold on out of fear of doubt. The more you cling on to the needing or wanting feeling the more disastrous your manifesting will be. You will only succeed in feeling more needy. Give with love on a regular basis but also be aware of conserving your own and the law of attraction will bless you by bringing to you much more than you give. As you give you will get and you will manifest much more than you could ever have imagined and much faster too. The first thing everyone wants to know after watching the move the secret is, “How do I sue the Secret?” That’s understandable because although the movie is good and it does introduce you to the law of attraction it does not quite tell you how to properly apply it to your life. The First Step One of the first things you can do in using the secret law of attraction in y our life is to educate yourself as much as possible on the subject of the law of attraction. Learn the very nature of the law of attraction and how it influences your life. The core of the secret, are your thoughts which goes a lot deeper than negative verses positive thought. If you understood the truly nature of thought you would be a huge step above those who think they understand the law of attraction. The Second Step The second step to mastering the secret law of attraction is to get a journal and begin to write. Do you know most people have no clue what their predominant thought patters is, nor do they even know what it is that they want. When you get a journal you can begin to explore your feelings on a much deeper level. Seeing your feelings on paper clears it up from being cluttered in your mind. The Third Step The third step to using the secret law of attraction is to take small inspired action towards your goals. With your new law of attraction journal you can begin to track daily every action you take that is in alignment with your goals. Its very hard for most people to be aware of the way they spend their time. When you set a specific plan and track it in your journal you have a better change of seeing how your week has gone, your month and then your year. Much time can pass with many of us taking the same tiresome actions that get us the same lousy results again and again. Then many people say that the law of attraction did not work in their lives but actually the law of attraction did work. It simply worked to give you more of the same conditions you were creating again and again.</itunes:summary>

New Year, Healthy lifestyle changes

Beginning of a new year is a good time to make healthy lifestyle changes, when most of us are filled with hope and enthusiasm, it's a good idea to be useful to re-think and re-define our goals. In January is a great time to set new intentions because it offers an easy-to-identify, new energy that each year it brings

Although statistics say a number approximate to 12 percent of people succeed at their new year's resolutions we would not have to be discouraged . It's this way Really? Anyway that number seems very low to me. If that is really so, I must think there are several factors that play into that low percentage. However, let's look at some positive ways to insure that we are in that 10 percent of goal achievers for 2011 and beyond! instead of focusing on the negative reasons why so many goals are not achieved,
With this seven tips to help we can start. Don't forget the phrase: New Year's reminder is good for all of us.
1. Journal: Notebook where you can look at them, write every goals and down, your motives for achieving them, add to them each new idea that come to your mind, or change if needed. Write too, impressions about each goal and keep track of your progress.
2, If it is possible, every week try something new: Set a new goal, or approach an old aim in a new way. a good recipe for disappointment is to repeat resolutions you have failed to keep before . For example, instead of trying to lose a set amount of weight, vow to exercise more.
3. It's needed be specific: When you think about exactly what you are going to do, where and when, you will be avoiding a vague plans that will fail certainly . For example, instead of saying that you will go running on two or three days each week, decide you will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays at a specific time.
4.Your mind's eye: Visualize yourself doing whatever you need to do to achieve your resolution. Focusing on this image will help you believe in your ability to succeed and raise your vibration to match the goal.
5. Discipline: New Year's resolutions generally fail because they are just as easy to dismiss as they are to make. This is a great opportunity to practice self-discipline.
6. Be positive: You will get better results from thinking about the good things that will come from your new lifestyle rather than any difficulty of letting go of your old habits.
7. . Be persistent: New habits can take time to learn, and once in a while you may slip up and revert to the old you. Most of us give in to temptation occasionally, so forgive yourself and keep moving forward.

By following these suggestions and believing that you are worthy of whatever you put your mind to, you should be set for a great 2011!

<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:subtitle>Beginning of a new year is a good time to make healthy lifestyle changes, when most of us are filled with hope and enthusiasm, it's a good idea to be useful to re-think and re-define our goals.

People who you would never suspect in a million years! In fact, Anxiety is such a widespread disorder that virtually ANYONE can suffer from it. Your uncle Buddy, your Grandma Jean, your sister Annie, your neighbor Joe, your best friend Patti, or your brother George.

But, because Anxiety is one of those 'sweep it under the carpet', “embarrassment-type-I-think-I-might-be-going-crazy” disorders, people don't like to talk about it. Or admit they are long time sufferers.

Especially if you are someone always in the public eye, such as Kim Basinger. Kim had a long, difficult struggle with Anxiety disorder, and kept it a secret for quite a good portion of her life. You would never guess it to see her up on the 'silver screen' though would you? But she in fact has spoken out publicly about her battle with Anxiety in the

hopes that this may raise awareness of this dreaded disorder. And it has. She is one brave soul to expose a huge portion of her private life like this. Kudos to you Kim!

Let us not forget also that Anxiety is believed to be an inherited disorder, although your mom or pop may not show the outward symptoms of it. Remember, this is an embarrassment disorder, or one that makes the sufferer believe they are, or are going, crazy. However, not every person who has experienced an Anxiety attack will develop a full blown disorder, but don't discount the fact that potentially they COULD.

Here's an interesting statistical fact for you. According to NIMH(National Institute of Mental Health) approximately 2.4 MILLION adult Americans suffer from some form of Anxiety or Panic Disorder. That's about 40 Million! And, it is twice as common in women as it is in men. Hmmm. . .Maybe this could be a contributing factor in why women worry so much about things? ;-)

Coincidentally, the major reason for people not knowing what is happening to them, or that they are suffering from Anxiety or Panic Disorder COULD be attributed to the fact that many cases reported began in adolescence. Therefore, a child may not be as affluent in describing what they are experiencing compared to the ability of that of an adult.

The key here is to LISTEN TO YOUR CHILDREN!! You would NOT want them to

endure a childhood full of suffering and not even know the reason for it.

Another interesting fact to be aware of is that Anxiety attacks don't only happen when a person is awake! They can, and often do, happen while sleeping. How scary do you think that may be to wake up to? Indescribable would be putting it MILDLY.

What Is Anxiety?

Imagine being stood in front of a high speed locomotive and you are frozen solid to the spot. Unable to move, knowing what is about to happen, and can do NOTHING to help yourself escape.

Now imagine being plunged into this scenario several times A DAY.

This is what it feels like for an Anxiety Disorder sufferer. Or as close as it can be described. The only difference is, there is no speeding train barreling towards you. It's unseen. And comes from out of no where. Without warning. Crippling you in utter fear.

Sound intense?

It IS.

The 'official' 'unofficial' description of Anxiety is a disorder in which the individual afflicted feels an intense, irrational fear and an impending sense of doom or dread.

What this means is that, in 'layman's terms', if you suffer from Anxiety Disorder, or any form of it, that you will be confronted with paralyzing fear for no apparent reason that will make you feel as if there is no possible way out of it. And you can experience this unprovoked fear at any time within the course of a day.

In addition to suffering from Anxiety Disorder, an individual may also have other common disorders that go hand-in-hand with it such as Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Agoraphobia, or any other number of Phobias that make it all the more important to seek treatment for.

What Causes Anxiety?

Short and sweet? Everything and NOTHING! Reread the definition of it above. Now the picture should become a bit more clear.

In most documented cases of Anxiety attacks, the patient rarely reports any event that would have triggered the onset of the attack itself.

Now, with that said, let me also explain that when an Anxiety sufferer returns back to a situation or setting where a previous attack happened, this could trigger another attack, just because they'll be reminded of how terrifying that first attack was, and unconsciously be thinking about it successfully triggering yet another attack! It's a vicious cycle of fear.

And the greatest fear of an Anxiety attack/disorder sufferer? To have ANOTHER ATTACK! Hopefully this is beginning to make a little more sense to you now. Of course the attack hasn't killed them, and most likely won't, but it can sure feel like you're dying at the moment when an attack is occurring though.

So, the greatest determiner of having an Anxiety attack is also your greatest treasure, your MIND. Even though you can tell someone that is having an Anxiety attack that "It's All In Your Mind", this usually comes out leaving them feel you are trying to be condescending to their plight. Not a nice feeling I'm sure you'll agree. Even though you don't mean it in that way, this is most likely the way it is received.

To be more 'clinical' about Anxiety, it is, in fact, 'all in your mind'. Because the BRAIN is where all your Anxiety stems from. Many studies have focused mainly on two specific portions of the brain that are responsible for inducing feelings of fear and anxiety. It is simply an unannounced trigger that sets off one's “fight or flight” defense mechanism, kicks in the adrenaline, and BAM! A full blown Anxiety attack is on it's way forward.

Many times, Anxiety is brought about due to increased stress from daily life. Bills piling up, children seemingly out of control, pressure from work, family, and other events can trigger this disorder bringing it to the surface of an otherwise “dormant” carrier of the genetic traits passed on by their parents.

<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:subtitle>Who Suffers From Anxiety? But she in fact has spoken out publicly about her battle with Anxiety in the hopes that this may raise awareness of this dreaded disorder. Hmmm. . .Maybe this could be a contributing factor in why women worry so much about things? ;-) Coincidentally, the major reason for people not knowing what is happening to them, or that they are suffering from Anxiety or Panic Disorder COULD be attributed to the fact that many cases reported began in adolescence. Therefore, a child may not be as affluent in describing what they are experiencing compared to the ability of that of an adult. The key here is to LISTEN TO YOUR CHILDREN!! You would NOT want them to endure a childhood full of suffering and not even know the reason for it. You will realize that desire should always start from within, and the world will just obey your thoughts, actions and ideas. Here are some guidelines on how to get your objectives just the way you want.

Ask the Universe

According to the Universal Law of Attraction, ask the universe and it shall give to you. However, to achieve your goals, you have to truly have an idea about what kind of thing or event you want to happen in your life. There are plenty of items that you can ask from the world. The most common are superficial things such as money, a new car, a new house, etc. More meaningful items include better relationships with your family or wife, happiness in your job and life, etc. All of these can be given to you at the time you want and in the extent you need.

The Way You Ask

The way you ask the universe will also matter. Keep in mind that the universe will immediately hear and respond in the manner you believe in. Your first thought might go, 'I want a brand new Ferrari.' The world will then respond, 'Your wish is my command.' However, other thoughts can still enter such as, 'But it may still be when I'm in my 40's.' or 'But it will happen when I get the promotion.' or even 'It can't happen.' The world will just say yes to everything you inject in your thoughts.

The time, extent, severity and other details of your wish will be determined by your mind alone. If you have any doubt or disbelief about the power of the universe to provide, then it will truly give to you accordingly. Make sure you clean your thoughts thoroughly so that you set your goals straight and allow the universe to perform the best way.

Once you have set your goals and asked from the universe, your mind, thoughts and body will start acting automatically to lead towards the goals and objectives. You will subconsciously accomplish small tasks and open up a wide array of opportunities that are meant to direct you to the ultimate mark. If you want to land that promotion, then you should start going to work early, volunteer for projects and show that you are prepared for bigger responsibilities. Staying Positive The Universal Law of Attraction helps you achieve your goals, as long as you remain positive. Always believe that the universe is capable of providing immediately. Anything can actually happen, in the time you have set. Always be optimistic in the face of adversary. It is not impossible that you will encounter a few problems along the way, but what's more important is how you relate to the situation in a positive light. Be conscious about what's happening and act to alleviate the effects. </itunes:summary>

Are All Energy Healings the Same?

You have probably come across exotic-sounding terms such as “chakra”, “prana”, “aura”, and “tantra” in your course of reading books on spirituality, sex, and healing in the New Age literature section of the bookstore. But what’s the real scoop behind these exotic vocabularies?

Are All Energy Healings the Same?

Chakra or energy center is a term used in Pranic healing, an ancient Hindu system of energy healing. “Prana” means life energy. “Aura” is another terminology traced to Pranic healing. Aura is a non-physical body that consists of energy, which exists along with our physical body. The aura that covers our body is said to have seven layers pertaining to the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of an individual as manifested by energy. Studying the color and thickness of auras give ideas on the state of health of individuals. Six colors are associated with aura and interpreted into six personalities. These colors are all present in an individual but one or two are more pronounced.
Green – ambitious achiever
Blue – spiritual peacemaker
White – unconventional chameleon
Red – activist
Orange – creative communicator
Violet - psychic

Although Tantra is popularly associated with the peculiar practice of sex and spirituality, it is another method of energy healing. It comes from the word “tan” which means to spread or expand. The concept of connectedness is a recurring theme in Tantric writings on sex and spirituality. As a method of healing, spirituality and sex figure prominently. It is presupposed that the union of man and woman can reach spiritual levels during orgasm, which removes the body and mind off collected impurities. These impurities being negative energies can in turn manifest as physical illnesses.

Unlike Pranic and Tantric healings, which have Hindu origins, Reiki originated from Japan. It is relatively younger than Pranic and Tantric healings having been rediscovered in the early 1900’s. Reiki stands for universal energy, an energy brought forth by higher intelligence. Students of Reiki are taught how to tap this energy to heal physical, emotional, and mental illnesses.

Although Pranic, Tantra, and Reiki are all systems of energy healing, they differ in the type of energy tapped for healing: life energy, sexual energy, and universal energy respectively.

The concepts of the connectedness of mind, body, and spirit; the connection of individuals to all living and nonliving things around them and to the universe; and how energy impacts physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being are some of the salient similarities of these three healing methods.

Why Do People Turn to Energy Healing?

Pranic, Tantric, and Reiki are considered alternative methods of healing. In spite of the availability and relative accessibility of modern medicine, how come more and more people are being drawned to them? Here are some possible reasons:

· Energy healing worked where modern medicine failed.

For several reasons both explainable and unexplainable, modern medical treatment failed to heal ailments and conditions in several if not many persons. Research or data may not be able to support this statement. But for the families of the dying as well as for the dying patient, they would take the risk of using alternative methods ranging from herbals and organics, faith healers, witch doctors, and New Age healing techniques just to be get well.

· People perceive modern medicine to be isolating.

Medical treatments are oftentimes focused on the disease and its causative agent, which can make a patient feel isolated and treated like a mere host of the disease. Although recent developments in hospital practice are gradually promoting the holistic treatment of a patient, the perception still persists. Unlike in energy healing, since energy and spirituality are intimately linked, the patient feels that all aspects of his health are being attended to.

· Energy healing is non-obtrusive and natural thus it is safer.

Repeated surgical procedures are physically and emotionally traumatic for most patients. It is but a logical and attractive option to both patient and families to look for less stressful health interventions. Moreover, with the rising popularity of New Age religions, going natural is the way to go.

Energy healing is a good way of relieving stress.

Meditation is part and parcel of energy healing methods and this is an added come-on for highly stressed people. Moreover, sophisticated equipment is not required thus it becomes all the more convenient for students and future students of energy healing.

The battle between alternative healing and mainstream medicine continues as both present the benefits of their approach. But in the final analysis, what matters is the restoration of good health.

Different stress class

Internal Stress

There are times when you constantly worry about certain events without having enough control to determine its outcome. Internal stress is also one of those kinds of stress that needs to be addressed quickly. Most of the source of stress is rooted in the person's mind, which makes it difficult to manage and would entail more work to get rid of. Oftentimes, people suffering from internal stress subconsciously puts themselves in stressful situations or feel stressed out about things that aren't stressful to begin with. Creating a balance in the daily life is a challenge. Still it is possible to create a more balanced every day life.

Survival Stress

This type of stress deals with the danger, mostly physical, that an individual is subjected to. It can be prompted by an attack made by either human or animal that could potentially hurt you in the process. Therefore, your body releases this burst of energy that you need to utilize to respond quickly about the situation at hand whether to confront it or escape from it.

Environmental Stress

This type of stress is your body's way of responding to changes or activities in your environment that could produce stress, such as extreme levels of noise or pressure from work. As compared to the other types of stress already mentioned above, this one is a lot easier to deal with. The best way to get started combating this stress type is to determine the source. Once you have identified the source of environmental stress, find a way to avoid them.

Stress Due To Work and Fatigue

Another common type of stress and probably the most prevalent. This one though does not happen in an instant, but rather builds up over time. When you are spending too much time working or forced to deal with excessive amount of work, then it can take its toll on your body. To deal with work stress, you need to make sure you have enough rest and relaxation in between so your body can recover from the tremendous amount of work. There are methods that you can apply in order to find relief from stress.

Relax. Most of the literature about self-help mentions meditation as one of the keys to a good life. Meditation is a very broad concept, but lets say we need time every day to relax and get into ourselves. One of the easiest practices to start with is the breathing meditation exercise
Body exercise. Our bodies are meant to be in movement at least some part of the time
Play. This is something many adults forget, and even many children today are given less space to do.
Have a balanced diet. If you don't consume the adequate amount of carbs, and you are active, you are doing a bad thing to your body. You can't have a single food and think that it will be able to provide you with all the nutrients. Anything that we eat should be limited to or as close as possible to recommended quantitie

<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:subtitle>Internal Stress There are times when you constantly worry about certain events without having enough control to determine its outcome. It's very difficult stay calm, and maintain self esteem in a tough environment.
If you want self improvement, here are some tips you may to consider as a starter guide to.

Imagine yourself as a Dart Board. Everything and everyone else around you may become Dart Pins,. These dart pins will destroy your self esteem and pull you down in ways you won’t even remember. Don’t let them destroy you, or get the best of you. Are there ways to avoid those dart pins?

Dart Pin 1 : Negative Work Environment
Theory where everyone else is fighting just to get ahead, Beware of “dog eat dog” . This is where non-appreciative people usually thrive. No one will appreciate your contributions even if you miss lunch and dinner, and stay up late. Most of the time you get to work too much without getting help from people concerned. Stay out of this, it will ruin your self esteem. Competition is at stake anywhere. Be healthy enough to compete, but in a healthy competition that is.

Dart Pin 2: People’s Behavior
Bulldozers, brown nosers, gossipmongers, whiners, backstabbers, snipers, people walking wounded, controllers, naggers, complainers, exploders, patronizers, sluffers… all these kinds of people will pose bad vibes for your self esteem, as well as to your self improvement scheme.

Dart Pin 3: Changing Environment
You can’t be a green bug on a brown field. Changes challenge our paradigms. It tests our flexibility, adaptability and alters the way we think. Changes will make life difficult for awhile, it may cause stress but it will help us find ways to improve our selves. Change will be there forever, we must be susceptible to it.

Dart Pin 4: Past Experience
It’s okay to cry and say “ouch!” when we experience pain. But don’t let pain transform itself into fear. It might grab you by the tail and swing you around. Treat each failure and mistake as a lesson.

Dart Pin 5: Negative World View
Look at what you’re looking at. Don’t wrap yourself up with all the negativities of the world. In building self esteem, we must learn how to make the best out of worst situations.

Dart Pin 6: Determination Theory
The way you are and your behavioral traits is said to be a mixed end product of your inherited traits (genetics), your upbringing (psychic), and your environmental surroundings such as your spouse, the company, the economy or your circle of friends. You have your own identity. If your father is a failure, it doesn’t mean you have to be a failure too. Learn from other people’s experience, so you’ll never have to encounter the same mistakes.

Sometimes, you may want to wonder if some people are born leaders or positive thinkers. NO. Being positive, and staying positive is a choice. Building self esteem and drawing lines for self improvement is a choice, not a rule or a talent. God wouldn’t come down from heaven and tell you – “George, you may now have the permission to build self esteem and improve your self.”

In life, its hard to stay tough specially when things and people around you keep pulling you down. When we get to the battle field, we should choose the right luggage to bring and armors to use, and pick those that are bullet proof. Life’s options give us arrays of more options. Along the battle, we will get hit and bruised. And wearing a bullet proof armor ideally means ‘self change’. The kind of change which comes from within. Voluntarily. Armor or Self Change changes 3 things: our attitude, our behavior and our way of thinking.

Building self esteem will eventually lead to self improvement if we start to become responsible for who we are, what we have and what we do. Its like a flame that should gradually spread like a brush fire from inside and out. When we develop self esteem, we take control of our mission, values and discipline. Self esteem brings about self improvement, true assessment, and determination. So how do you start putting up the building blocks of self esteem? Be positive. Be contented and happy. Be appreciative. Never miss an opportunity to compliment. A positive way of living will help you build self esteem, your starter guide to self improvement.

Facing your Fears

To many people, fear is a part of life. Not the
typical, well-known and talked about fears like
claustrophobia and hypochondria, but the fears that
keep you from going after the job you know would make
you ecstatically happy.

Our own self-esteem issues can keep us from taking
steps that could help us make the big step from being
a paralegal to a lawyer, or an online writer from
penning a book.

We are often our own worst enemy. Negative self talk
keeps us in our comfort zone. The fence that surrounds
our comfort zone is our fears. Some fences are bigger
than others, but fences nonetheless.

Take the time to think about what would make you
happy. In every moment, of every day, you make the decision to be happy, or not. That's right, it's up you, and no one else, to make and keep yourself happy. Clue: it is not something you can buy!

Is it a promotion in the field you are presently in, or something totally different?
Will it require you to go back to school? Is it marriage?
Start with a written list of exactly what you are looking for; looking for a mate who is a Christian?

Visit different churches or Church dinners. Life can be just what happens to you; living is those
purposeful steps you make to make your passion happen.

Think about what you are afraid of. Do this when you
are alone and can think without interruption. Be
honest about your feelings.

Why are you afraid of that?

Where do those feelings come from?

What is the worst that could happen to me if I faced
this fear head on?
Endorphins are natural hormones that your brain
releases when it senses happiness. These endorphins
give you a sense of happiness, satisfaction and
well-being; they tell you all is well with your body.

It’s that relaxed sense after a good meal, a good
workout, a good laugh or great sex.

Endorphins are produced in the pituitary gland and the
hypothalamus gland and release an opioid-like
secretion that masks pain with a natural analgesic and
tells the body that all is fine with the world.

Acupuncture has been found to have the ability to release these compounds and relieve pain, at least for
the short term, and to leave you with a wonderful sense of wellbeing.

Exercise, extreme happiness, good food and orgasm releases natural endorphins, and endorphins make you
feel happy and satisfied with life.

The more often you can stimulate your brain to release these natural hormones, the better you will feel, and
the easier it will be to put yourself into this happy state of being.

Endorphins cannot be bought; only through your own effort can you bring them into being.

There is no downside to putting yourself into the position of happiness, either through laughter, sex,
food or exercise.

Happy creates happy; it is a cycle that you should never break and you should take every chance to spur
these hormones on. Let them do what they do naturally; light their fire and reap the benefits!

Circumstances beyond Your Control

It may be news to you, but there is a bit of a paradox that surrounds happiness. You see, most people think happiness is a condition brought on by things or circumstances that are external to them. But in reality, true happiness comes from inside of us, not from the outside.
Being happy is easy when life is going well; but what about when circumstances spin out of control and bad things happen one right after another.
We all have times when we feel that we just can’t get out from under the storm clouds. How do people stay
happy during the tough times?
It’s been said time and time again that when the going gets tough the tough get going, but some people don’t
find that at all easy to do.
Positive attitudes can help, but knowing that there is a higher power that controls the chess pieces of our
lives lets us know that this hard time is only a bump in the road and will soon pass.
This deep acceptance of faith is called joy; and hard times simply can’t compete with pure joy.
We may not understand why bad things happen to good people, but we know that they do and always will. Bad things happen to bad people too, just as good things happen to good people.
It’s just the way it is. If we can simply understand that we can’t know certain things on this side of
life, which will help us get through life here.
Try to look at everything as part of God’s plan and as a positive experience; find joy in the simple
pleasures in life do not last and don’t let at the end of the day (or week) get you down!

An Overview of Happiness

Happiness seems to be a fleeting thing to some people;
others seem to have a good grasp on it and seem to be
able to hang on for dear life!

Happiness means different things to different people,
but there are similarities that have led scientists to
believe that there is much people can do to assist
themselves in their personal pursuit of happiness.

Most people who are truly happy have a true sense of
purpose in their life. What is your passion and are
you living it? For many people, faith in God brings
them happiness, hope for the future and a sense of
purpose.

Happy people generally are giving people; giving truly does bring the giver joy, if it’s done with a real
attitude of giving for the sake of giving. Happy people are also thankful for the things in their life,
and for the people and relationships in their life.
Nurture your special relationships with family and friends and think about dumping negative relationships
that do nothing except bring you down.

Optimism doesn’t come naturally to some people, but the happiest people are optimists, always looking on
the lighter and brighter side of life. Take it easy on yourself-lighten up!

If you are online often, have a joke-of-the-day sent to you. Don’t be afraid to laugh; laughing releases
endorphins in your brain that make you truly happy-as does exercise.

Consciously look for the bright side in every situation throughout the day; instead of instantly
thinking something won’t work, think about how it could.

Be mindful of how blessed you are; got a job? Be thankful. In a good relationship? Be thankful.
Thankfulness will lead to happiness every time.
