No item songs in Eega: Rajamouli

Director Rajamouli’s experimental film Eega is progressing at a rapid pace. Meanwhile, there has been a buzz that Kajal Agarwal is roped in for an item number in the film. Quashing out such rumors Rajamouli said that Kajal Agarwal is not part of Eega and there aren’t any item songs in Eega.

“News that Kajal doing an item number in Eega are not true. There are no item songs in eega. Just a baseless rumour,” Rajamouli informed.

Nani, Samantha and Sudeep are playing the main roles in Eega, where the story revolves around a house-fly. Eega is being produced by Sai Korrapati while Suresh Babu is presenting it. Eega has music by Keeravani, cinematography by Senthil and visual effects by Kamal Kannan. The film is being made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil versions.

Ram Gopal Varma drops Rowdilu?

It is known that Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma along with Kiran Kumar Koneru is currently producing a film tilted Bejawada Rowdilu with Naga Chaitanya in the lead in the direction of a debutant Vivek. However, from the day RGV has announced the title, there has been lot of protests against the title and people from Vijayawada alleged that it tarnishes the image of such big city in the state.

In this regard, the Vijayawada police had also denied the permission of shooting in the city. The latest buzz says RGV has agreed to delete the suffix of the title Rowdilu and retain Bejawada as the film’s title.

The present schedule of the film is being shot in Hyderabad and a song has to be canned in Vijayawada in the next schedule. Varma is said to have written a letter to police commissioner for offering permission for shooting in the city, while the latter agreed to permit the unit only after listening to the song.

FNAEM files a complaint against Siddharth

Siddharth who was upset with a news channel program on 180 film prior its release exhibited his anger through a tweet, “3rd grade ‘N’ews channels will sell their families to make up an hour of tv. Clarifying their garbage & lies is not worth our time. Ignore!”

This has irked the Film Newscasters Association of Electronic Media (FNAEM) and has banned actor. On Tuesday during a pressmeet of 180, the electronic media persons walked away when Siddharth was about to talk on the film. The FNAEM has filed a complaint with MAA to take necessary action against Siddharth.

Megastar Chiranjeevi has officially stated on Tuesday that he would not act in films anymore and his fans can seem him in the performance of Ram Charan Tej on-screen and bless the actor. Chiranjeevi made these statements at the launch of UTV’s Action Telugu movie channel in Hyderabad.

Reacting to a journalists question on whether he is donning the role Chief Minister in his next film, the Mega Star turned Politician said, “What is the need to act as CM in movies when people want me to become CM in real life.” Chiru further said that he will not act hereafter as he is serious on politics and he wants to dedicate his full-time to politics alone.

Though Chiranjeevi thought of finishing his 150th film earlier in the production of Ram Charan Tej, the recent political developments in the state made Chiru quit films completely.

Vara Prasad Potti Prasad is a comedy entertainer directed by Satya Varanasi and produced by Harsha Reddy on Geo Media Arts banner. The film has completed its censor formalities and earned Clean U certificate.

Priyanka and Priya Ahuja played the leading ladies in the film. Music is by Sri karthik while cinematography is by Bala. The film-makers opined that the film entertains all sections of the audiences.

Vikram’s new film Nanna is gearing up for its release in Telugu and Tamil versions simultaneously on 15th July. Nanna is the dubbed version of the Tamil film Deiva Thirumugal, which is being directed by Vijay.

The Telugu version of the film is produced by Santosham studios and Wellfare creations. GV.Prakash has composed the music which is earning positive response. Vikram will be seen in the role of a mentally challenged man and Anushka in the role of a lawyer. Comedian turned hero Sunil is set to act in the direction of Veerabhadram Chowdary, who earlier directed Allari Naresh starrer Aha Naa Pellanta that has completed 100 days of its run.

Anand Prasad will produce this new film. He has earlier produced Gopichand’s Wanted which resulted as a disaster. Other details of the cast and crew of the film are yet to be finalized.

Veerabhadram has earlier approached Nagarjuna with a script and though Nag was impressed with the story, the star was could not allocate his call sheets by being busy his other commitments. So, the director has moved on with another new script with Sunil in the lead.

Dookudu still left with 40 days schedule!

Mahesh Babu is currently busy with the Dookudu shoot, which is progressing at brisk pace in Hyderabad. The film-makers initially planned to release the film in the month of August on Mahesh’s Birthday [9th August].

But the film is yet to complete 40 days of the shoot and the present circumstances seem that Dookudu might not release even in the last week of August and will postpone to September. However, Srinu Vytla and the producers of the film are in plans to wrap up the film at the earliest.

Samantha is playing the leading lady in this action cum comedy entertainer. Dookudu is being produced by Achanta Ram, Achanta Gopinath and Anil Sunkara under 14 Reels Entertainment banner.

Ram Charan is all set to fly to Srilanka along with his Racha unit for a new schedule that commences from 3rd July.

A song on the lead pair Ram Charan and Tamannah will be canned in Srilanka. Earlier the unit has completed 5 days of schedule in Hyderabad.

Tollywood is abuzz that Producer R.Venkat is soon producing an English film on his banner RR Movie Makers with a budget of 150 Crores. The film has been titled as ‘Divorce Invitation’ and is touted as a romantic comedy.

Jonathan Benett, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Nadia Bjorlin will play the lead roles in the film and the other surprising news is S V Krishna Reddy is directing this film. Karthi, Kajal Agarwal’s Tamil film Naan Mahan Alla is being dubbed in Telugu as Naa Peru Shiva. The audio of the film was launched on 24th June evening in Prasad Labs, Hyderabad.

The audio launch event was attended by Hero Karthi, Producer Gnanavel Raja, Madhura Sridhar, Sahithi et al. Karthi launched the first copy of CD and he is dubbing his own voice for the Telugu version of the film.
