The greatest challenge you have to face in this life is not the devil but being yourself in a world where everyone wants you to be someone else.People want you to be what they want.
Sometimes our parents wants us to be what they couldn't be in their lifetime,i have met young men and women,who are in college living their parents dreams,studying a course because its what their parents wanted,dating a boy because he is your parents choice.
Living someone else life and not yours.Imagine how it would look like,at the end of your life you realize you have been living another persons dreams.
I would like to say to you that you are living in a box and you need to break out of it and start to live the life that God has planned for you,even before the foundation of the world,his purpose about you is very clear and he wants you to begin walk in line with his purpose.
Your father had his time and purpose,now is your time and the decisions you make now will determine if you will live a fulfilled life,you were not created to live the dreams of others but God created you to fulfill your dreams and cause others to fulfill theirs also.
lets share some ways you can breakout of the box;

BE YOURSELF
What people can't understand they always fight and try to destroy.
Jesus when he was in this world,the Pharisees could not understand him,they tried to stop him by caging him,but they couldn't.
They called him all kinds of names to discourage him but Jesus knew who he was and lived the very reason he was born.Sometimes we allow people to discourage us and we loose confidence in ourselves.
You need to realize that you are special and God created you for a unique purpose,you don't have to be normal and be like everyone else,be who God created you to be and do what he called you to be,refuse to be a copy,be a maker of history,be different,be yourself.
Don't be afraid of the faces of people,keep your eyes up and not on the faces of men,let God be God,for he is able to do just what he said,be yourself.
People are envious that's why they discourage you,they see that you got to be brave and courageous to take the steps you take,so because of the fear that you will become greater and you are different to try to destroy you,stand strong and stay at being yourself.
You are a star..

CELEBRATE YOURSELF

I believe that you have no right to love others if you cant love yourself.
The bible says esteem others above yourself,doesn't mean that you should loose your self esteem,but that as you keep your esteem in tact,esteem others.
A man that has no respect for himself cannot respect others,you can only give what you are,people who disrespect others actually have no respect for themselves,so i encourage you to learn to love yourself,give yourself a treat,buy a gift for yourself.
Stop playing a pity party,people are usually attracted to happy people and not sad people,the reason you don't have friends is because you never smile,you always put up a sad face and that scares others,put a smile on your face,be happy,celebrate you and see how it will attract people to you.
Sometimes its so easy to appreciate others but you feel guilty when appreciated by others,celebrate yourself,celebrate the gift that you are,thank God for you,you spend your time thanking God for others but you,spend sometime to thank God for you,you will only attract what you respect.

RELEASE YOURSELF
Take out time to forgive those people who hurt you in the past,i have taught that when you hold un-forgiveness in your heart,you have only caged yourself and not the person who hurt you.
I know its hard and its not easy,but you have the power to let go,you can do it,release yourself,give it a try and see how free you would be,when you forgive the one that hurt you.
Forgiveness brings freedom,total freedom,so let go and let god,when you hold on to the hurt,you restrict yourself and put your life on a hold,release yourself and be free totally from pain and hurts,you have the power.

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF
At sundry times we wait for others to make us feel good,most of what we do we always seek the complement of others "what did they say;what will my mother say;what will my friends say" stop doing things hoping to be encouraged by others.
If you can't encourage yourself no one will,because no one really understands you,be like David who in the time of a challenge,the bible says and "David encouraged himself in the lord" stop waiting for others,start speaking sweet words of encouragement to yourself,start prophesying to yourself.
Be the first to buy your product,be excited about yourself,nobody will celebrate your gift before you,so be encouraged,"be strong in the lord and in the power of his might.." encourage yourself.
I dare you to breakout of your box,come out of the shell,start doing things the way God has gifted you,don't be a copy,be an original.Rise up and shine,the stage is set and the moment you have been waiting for has come,everyone is waiting for you to come forth,arise and shine.
Breakout of the box,your box of insecurity,fear of the unknown,lack of confidence in yourself,your fears that has made you crippled that you cannot move to where God wants you to be,breakout and surprise yourself,start doing what you couldn't do,you are who God says you are,you are Gods property.

FAITH SIGHT

We walk by faith and not by sight.2Corinthians 5:7.

Sight speaks of our senses what we see,what we can feel.when a man walks in his sight he is walking in the natural.
God gave us our senses to help us relate to the earth.we are in this world though not of this world.
The faith sight,rules all the others,the faith sight is the sight that operates from the supernatural.The supernatural rules the natural,so we must develop our faith sight,which is the sixth sense.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.Hebrews 11:1
Our senses relates only to things they can either see or fee,but men of faith walk on what is not seen,because what is not seen is eternal.2Corinthians 4:18.
How can you achieve your vision,your purpose without faith in God?

FAITH-FUL ABRAHAM

“By faith,Abraham,when called to go to a place,he would later receive as his inheritance,obeyed and went,even though he didn't know where he was going..” Hebrews 11:8

Sometimes God would ask you to do something unusual - God asked Abraham to kill his son Isaac and Abraham obeyed,he asked Abraham to leave his kindred and family,Abraham obeyed,he told Abraham that Sarah though she was barren would give birth to child,the bible says Abraham believed God and it was credited to him for righteousness.Romans 4:3,Genesis 15:6.
If you will be great in this life you must have this reckless,on the word of God; faith that Abraham had,such that he was called the father of faith,a man of faith.Galatians 3:9
Sometimes demands are placed on us,your faith must be tested and tried.

What kind of life do you want to live,extra-ordinary men are ordinary people who did extraordinary things,Abraham was an ordinary man who believed God and held on to his word.You want to go to where you have never been do what you have never done.

DAVID A MAN OF SACRIFICE
David was a man of faith he said I will not give to God what cost me nothing,great people make great sacrifices.
What are you willing to give to get you to your destiny.everybody wants to have a good life but no one wants to make the sacrifices,greatness can never be achieved without some level of sacrifice.
Democracy experienced in most parts of Africa today,some men gave their lives for it,what are you willing to give your life for?

Jesus gave his life,Paul said my life is nothing for the gospels sake.If you have nothing you can die for,then you have nothing to live for,then you are going to be ordinary.

Check out the great people of faith mentioned in Hebrews 11,they were all ordinary people,from Enoch to Noah, to Abraham,to Isaac,to Jacob,to Joseph,to Moses,to Rahab,Gideon,Barak,Samson,Jepthah,David,Samuel,and the prophets,they were all ordinary people who did extraordinary things they risked their lives for their faith and purpose in God.
What kind of faith do you have in GOD?
With all their sacrifices they received only commendation but not the promise,they are not made perfect except we rise up and run with the baton.Hebrews 12:1-2;tells us that they are watching us,calling on us to run,because the baton has been passed to us,its now our time and turn.
Imagine we are in a relay,they have done their part and passed the baton on to us,they started well and passed the baton well,now its our turn to finish.

HOW TO BECOME EXTRAORDINARY – HEBREWS 12:1-3

Throw off everything that entangles and the sin that so easily besets us

Run with perseverance the race set before us,cause its not going to be easy,it will be tough.

Fix our eyes on Jesus,totally not on anyone else

Men of faith always sacrifice something to get something greater.

BACK SIGHT AND FORESIGHT/FRONT SIGHT

In survey,to get new elevations,we need to locate the backsight and the foresight.The backsight is the reading of the rod on a known elevation and the forsight is an unknown elevation.from the backsight you get the foresight and so on.The backsight is the first reading of the instrument and its vital to be able to secure the elevation on the foresight.

Also the sport of riffle shooting,we still use the sights,backsight and frontsight,when you set the riffle and raise it to aim at the target,you bring the backsight close to your eyes and make sure it measures with the view on the front sight,so you can accurately hit on your target.The backsight is before the frontsight.

This teaches us how, where we are coming from relates to where you are going.you can tell a mans future from his present,his known position.How you live your life today is a yardstick for measuring where you future.

When we talk of foresight,we are talking of insight into the future.According to survey,foresight is the reading taken looking forward to a new station,especially in leveling from a point of know elevation to a point, the elevation of which is to be determined.

A man who has a foresight has the ability to perceive the significance and nature of events before they occurred.Such people are needed in business organisations,for them not to get into transactions they will regret.

A man with foresight according to Luke 14:28,sits down to take a back-sight reading so he can tell if he will have enough to finish the project.
Men with foresight weight the cost,before jumping in.
men with foresight don’t live by assumptions,they face the reality and work it out.
men with foresight are prudent and diligent and the bible says they will stand before kings and not mere men.proverbs 22:29.

Sometimes God demands that we return back,take a backsight to be able to hit the right target.In Revelations he told us to return back to our first love,so that we can accurately locate our foresight,the future.

Revelations 2:4-6.

Develop a foresight and a backsight,know where you are coming from,don’t forget it,it will help you appreciate where you are and where you are going.

God caustioned the children of Israel not to forget where they are coming from,because it is in the nature of man to forget quickly.Deuteronomy 8:1-20(study)

Always remember where you are coming from,it will keep you in check, that where you are not is not a function of what you did but that God brought you through by his mercies.

Jesus gave a parable of a servant who forgot where he was coming from and the end was judgement.in the parable of the unmerciful servant matthew 18:21-35.

The back sight helps us to take caution, in the way we treatment of others,be careful how you treat others,cause you may meet them on your way up the ladder or down the ladder.

HINDSIGHT

The perception of the significance and nature of events after they have occurred.The ability to understand after something has happened,knowing what should have been done or what caused the event.

Foresight is before an event occurs but hindsight is after it occurs.

There are some events that we cannot prevent but we must learn from.Another word for this is discernment,if you notice a word of knowledge can come before an event,a word of wisdom comes during the event and discernment is needed after an event has occurred.

Discernment is the understanding of the event and knowledge of what should have been done,or the cause of the event.

There are some professions that are preventive while others come after the event.until there is a murder we wont need a homicide detective.

Autopsy is usually carried out on dead bodies,to figure out likely cause of death,you don't perform Autopsy on a living body.

After plane crashes a blackbox becomes useful to be able to tell what actually happened,as far as we can find the black box we can know the cause or the events inside the air-craft,during its flight.

Every one, that will be successful will certainly go through some bad events in life,this is were our hindsight must come to play so that we can discern cause and be able to now profer ways to avoid it's re occurrence.

The eyes of Adam and eve was opened only after they had eaten the fruit.

Jesus had to die before some peoples eyes were opened and they received salvation.

If Jesus didn’t die many would never had been saved.

Hindsight could also refer to wisdom or knowledge gotten after an event,after something has happened(usually something bad).

We learn more from bad situations than from good ones.making money is easy but you sit down and think better when you loose some money.

How is it, that people think about making changes only after bad events occur,the bridge that is shaken no one fixes it until it falls down and people die,then something is done about it.

The man,Thomas Edison who discovered the electric light bulb tried 1000 times before he found out the secret,he said he found out 999ways on how not to make the light bulb.

Hindsight is vital for prevention.they say prevention is better than cure.

Falling into a bad situation is okay,but did you learn anything in that situation,it might be useful for your future,no experience is useless,no page in a mans life is useless,cherish your experiences and learn from them.

INSIGHT

The capacity to discern the true nature of things,the way they truly are.

Insight is very important for success in life.This is like having a deeper understanding of an event.

Jesus asked his disciples, who do you say that I am?,some said John the Baptist,others Elijah the prophet,but peter by the insight of the holy spirit,said "thou art the Christ,the son of the living God"Jesus said "flesh and blood have not revealed this to you,but my father in heaven and upon this rock I will build my church".

Insight is very vital for progress,insight can be developed from study and association.

Do not be a shallow man,knowledge is very vital for life,you cannot have understanding except you give time to study,and study.

Insight distinguishes you,it puts you on a different stand.

Great things are only discovered in the deep,to find oil you need to dig very deep,think about the time and money and effort put in digging as deep as 39,000feet.

Psalm 42:7 says, "Deep calls unto deep." Only a call from the depths can provoke a response from the depths. Nothing shallow can ever touch the depths, nor can anything superficial touch the inward parts. Only the deep will respond to the deep. Anything that does not issue from the depths cannot touch the depths

Great business is usually done in the deep seas,in the great waters.Psalm 107:23

Jesus took the disciples to the deep side of the river and asked them to cast their nets for a great catch,because great catch are only in the deep. Luke 5:1-8,John 5:21.

How much time do you spend in the study of the word,how much time do you spend in study of your course,you can only be different by digging deep.

TWO LIFE QUESTIONS

There are two very important questions that will determine your success or failure in life,your knowledge of the answers will go a long way to tell how ready you are for your future.
We can not over emphasize the importance of preparation,preparation always precede success,show me a successful man and I will show you a prepared man.
I have seen situations where people are asked,if you were given a million dollars today,right now,what would you do with it?
A prepared man already knows,he doesn't say,I will bank the money first so I can think.
An unprepared man will miss the day of his visitation,will you be ready when what you have been praying for finally comes?
The story of the ten virgins,five was called wise and five foolish,great they were all virgins and undefiled,but the wise ones were prepared because they took extra olive oil but the foolish ones did not,when the bridegroom came,the wise ones where taken and the door was shut against the foolish ones.Matthew 25:1-13
There is no excuse for lack of preparation,the things you take for granted might be what will cause you to miss out on that day of your visitation.
Two very important questions,one was asked by Jesus the other by me,from the same story in Mark 10:42-52

QUESTION ONE - WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO FOR YOU?Blind Bartimaeus,the son of Timaeus,a blind beggar waiting for this opportunity that could bring about his healing and freedom from poverty.
Jesus the healer was in town,this was what he had been waiting for his life,now he is faced with Jesus that opportunity has presented itself.
Now faced with Jesus,I am sure Bartimaeus did not expect a question from Jesus but Jesus asked him,what can I do for you?
Blond Bartmaeus am sure has been waiting for this and he knew it was not time for stories,immediately he
replied,RABBI LET ME SEE AGAIN!
That's all he wanted and immediately Jesus knew that Baertimaeus knew what he wanted.
Do you really know what you need,just one thing,if you were right before Jesus,and he asked you,would you not begin story telling,about how bad life has treated you,Bartimaeus knew it was his time and he could not mess with this opportunity,RABBI LET ME SEE AGAIN!
Jesus didn't have to pray,he said Go,your faith has healed you.
It is easy to minister to a prepared man or woman,are you prepared?

QUESTION TWO - HOW BADLY DO YOU WANT IT?
When Blind Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was in the area,and the bible says there was a crowd,Bartimaeus knew that he needed to do something crazy,something he normally won't do,the bible said he began to shout,Jesus,thou son of David,have mercy on me,and people around him tried to shut him up,but he got even more crazy and kept calling on Jesus,till Jesus stopped and asked the disciples to bring him.
He finally got the masters attention,imagine if he did nothing and just tried to be Mr. Nice guy,he would have missed his miracle.
He did the unusual to get his breakthrough,sometimes you must do what you have not done before to get what you have not gotten before,you want the unusual then do the unusual,how badly do you really want that breakthrough.
You can not be some body,when you spend all today eating and sleeping,you can not get that breakthrough without some sacrifice,how much are you willing to put in to bring your dreams to pass?
The woman with the issue of blood was in this kind of situation,the bible says though there was a crowd she refused to let the crowd stop her,she pressed through and touched the hem of Christ garment and she got healed.
Stop waiting move and take your miracle,if you really want it bad,don't let the crowd be a hindrance,use it as your stepping stone,how badly do you want it?

TOO BLESSED TO BE HURT

And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for [am] I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; [but] God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as [it is] this day, to save much people alive. Genesis 50:19-20.

Forgiveness,no matter the reason not to forgive,will only drag you backwards in life,you think you hurt the one who you are carrying the hurt over,but you actually are hurting and doing more harm to yourself.
When you refuse to forgive others,you are in actions saying “Lord I don’t need your forgiveness”,refusing to forgive another is refusing the love of Christ over your life.
You loose more spiritually,physically and mentally when you carry hurts within you,in fact your health is threatened when you refuse to forgive another,you open yourself to depression and pain that can cause other problems to your body and mind.
You have the power within you to let go of the pain and the hurts,allow the holy spirit to help you and focus on the grace of God,you can let go,I know it hurts but you can do it,free your mind,free yourself of the hurts and pain,say to yourself today is the deadline,I part with my hurts and I forgive my hater.

JOSEPH HURT TOO.
Joseph was hurt by his brothers,nothing can be more painful,than when those you love hurt you,he was hated by those he loved,they tried to kill him,eventually sold him,he was sold twice but first by his blood brothers and then by the merchants.
Sold to the house of portiphar and finally imprisoned but in all this God had a plan,to bring him to greatness,they taught they had gotten rid of him,but they didn’t know they motivated him into his destiny.
Use the pain and the hurts,make it your stepping stone,make it your spring board to your destiny to greater heights,don’t settle in the pain and cry,instead bounce your ways up.
No time to be hurt,I have been hurt too and I know that the greatest battles we fight is not with the devil but within ourselves,you ask yourself why is this happening to you?

USE YOUR HURTS AS YOUR SPRINGBOARD.
If you were not special it won’t happen to you,there is something about you,that folks cant understand,you are blessed even in the midst of the pain,God put something in you that makes you different,folks are envious that’s why they fight you and try to destroy you,focus all your pain not on those who hurt you but direct it to becoming a success in life.
If Joseph had spent all his time crying and wailing,he would not have succeeded,maybe he would have killed himself,and died a nobody,but when he was thrown in the pit,he held on to his dreams,when he was sold,he still held on,when he was thrown in prison and lied on he still held on to his dreams,and he never carried his hurts in his relationships with people,but he kept on helping because he knows that promotion comes from God.
Finally Joseph was in the palace,a Prime minister in Egypt,blessed beyond recognition,just wait a minute if he had killed himself,he would not have made it but he kept his faith in God and never stopped,he didn’t give up on God,he held on,he knew God was up to something,he knew where he is coming from,he knows he is blessed.
You are too blessed to stay hurt and offended,carry a stale face all over the place,keeping grudge on those that hurt you and not smiling when you see them,you hate them so much that if you had your way,you would have killed them,don’t put your life on the hold because of someone who hurt you,put all your energy on where you are going,focus on your future,gather all the pain and say to yourself,I will succeed against all odds.

FORGIVE YOUR HATERS
Forgive all your haters,love them and not hate them,you can do it,you are too blessed to be hurt,don’t waste your time hating on someone who asked for forgiveneness,don’t waste your time hating on someone who God already forgave,God will not join you in the hate galore,forgive and move on with your life.
You got no time and too much to loose hating,you are too blessed to be hurt,no time my dear brother and sister,you got too much on the inside of you,begin to harness your gifts and potentials,give it all the best and succeed,you are too blessed to be hurt.
Those who hurt you,when they see you are doing well,they will be uncomfortable,I dare you to forgive and see what God will do,he said,I will give you double for your troubles,when you forgive,you open the door of double portion blessing on your life,you are too blessed to carry hurts,let God and let God.

IT IS WRITTEN

John 19:21-22

Jesus was about to be crucified and pilate had written on the cross of Jesus the tittle king of the Jews. The chief priest asked pilate to wipe it off,because Jesus didn't qualify to be called that. But pilate made a profound statement and that would be my emphasis,he replied,What is written is written. I am sure they were disappointed,that pilate refuse,Jesus said,I AM KING OF THE JEWS! Though he was crucified he was crucified King of the Jews.
I dare to say to you,that what God has written concerning you is written and will not be changed,you may not be qualified but he chose you and there's nothing man can do about it. He is not man,that he should like,or change his mind,you are what God says you are no matter your present circumstance.

His word about you,is stronger than your present circumstance,dont allow your conditipn make you loose your real identity,Jesus held on to who he is even in the face of death,I am the king of the Jews. Hold on to your profession of faith,you are who God says you are,Gideon though in hiding was called,Thou mighty man of valour,sometimes we forget who we are in the face of adversity.

You are Gods son,born not of flesh and blood,born of God,thats what the bible says. Ye are gods,a son of a God is a god,your father created the earth and gave it to you as your inheritance. You are a heir,a king in waiting,dont forget who you are,God never changed his mind.

CHANGE YOUR ATMOSPHERE 2 - DISCARD THE NEGATIVE WORD

Words are very powerful,they will either build or destroy,that is why we must be careful,what we accept into our lives and what we receive through our ear gates.

The words you receive will certainly affect your life,especially if you receive and accept them,let us take a look at how powerful spoken words are,especially when received and accepted.

POWER OF A SPOKEN WORD
Jesus said in John 6:63 " It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life."

The words that i speak are Holy Spirit motivated,inspired and it gives life,the life spoken of here is not the natural life,that fades with time but the Zoë life,the God kind of life,that is eternal and never dies,the life that is only renewed by the days,it gets better.

The life of God that we receive in Christ Jesus can only get better and better,the bible says that “the path of the righteous can only get brighter and brighter”,we grow from glory to glory and from grace to grace,as we receive the word of God into our spirit.

It is the Spirit,who quickens,speaking of the Holy Spirit and he does that through the spoken word of God,as we receive into our hearts the spoken word of God,in Greek the Rhema of God,our spirits are made alive,quickened and the bible says if that spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us,he will quicken our mortal bodies.

So we can experience eternal life even here in this world,through the word of God and the life giving Spirit that we received when we accepted Jesus as lord and savior.

The spoken word has the power to give life or bring death,that's why the bible says that,death and life are in the power of the tongue,there is so much power in our tongue,when you speak a word from your heart,you need to realize that you didnt just speak but you released a spirit.

WORDS ARE SPIRIT
Someone once said,we can only give what we are and not what we have.Think about that,we can only release what we are,further said out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh,you can only release what you are.

The bible says “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks."Luke 6:43-45

A good man out of the good treasure in his heart,brings forth good and a evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil,you can only produce what you are.A good tree will produce a good fruit,for every tree is known by his fruit,and your mouth is the exit point for the intents of your heart,out of the abundance of your heart,the mouth speaks.

So when you speak a word,you have just released something that will either build or destroy,but you speak what you are,what you have stored up inside of your heart.We must be careful what we say and what we receive into our hearts.

SNARED BY THE WORDS OF YOUR MOUTH
We are snared by the words of our mouth,that is what Proverbs 6:2 says,in other words the words spoken by others against us,to do us harm or to discredit us,can not have any effect on us if we refuse it and not accept it.

We must guard our hearts the Bible says,for out of it flows the issues of life.Close you ear gates to any spoken word that does not edify you,any spoken word that brings you down and causes you not to be productive,close your ears to them.

Guard your heart,protect your heart from negative people,people who only point out the fault in you so as to hurt you and make your inactive,words are powerful,but only when accepted.

That is why we must acquaint ourselves more with the words of God,the spoken word of God.
The word is neigh thee,its in your mouth,the word that will bring your progress is in your mouth,when you accept and declare to your self negative words you will be trapped by those words,but instead speak positive words to your life,your life will align to the words of your mouth.

The word of God as powerful as it is may not work any good in your life,except it is heard and believed.With the heart man believes and with the mouth confession is made unto righteousness.

THERE IS A WORD SPOKEN OVER YOUR LIFE
We need to realize that there is a word already spoken over our lives before the foundation of the world.The scriptures says that the plans i have for you are not evil but good,so that you will have a hope and a future.

These words are found in the word of God and when we align our thoughts and life according to the spoken word ,you will have good success.

Joshua was told to spend time and meditate on these words,to meditate doesn't only mean to think on but to also mutter to yourself the word of God,and as he does that he will have good success.Joshua 1:8.

There is a word of prophecy spoken over your life,seek and find that word,once you discover it and begin to live by it,you will find good success.

Jesus came to live the spoken word over his life,everything he did here on earth was according to the word spoken over his life,so that prophesy could be fulfilled.

Psalm 139:16 " Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your
book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them"

God has fashioned out the life you should leave,there is a book that contains that and that is the word of God,to find out that path that has been set out for you to live,you need to get acquainted with the word of God.

There is a word spoken over your life,stop believing the negative words people speak to you,start speaking the words already spoken about you in the word of God.

THE WORD OF A PROPHET
Our progress in life is always connected to words.The mindset that we have today came as a result of a word,our habits and even the way of life we live now,came as a result of words that have been spoken over our lives,that we accepted and walked with.

The words that a father speaks over the life of his little child as they grow up will go along way to affect them positively or negatively.

When a negative word is spoken we need to realize that the spirit of the power of the air,picks up that word and makes it effective in the life of the person its spoken over,especially if that person is not a believer.

Words are powerful because of the spirit backing every word and there is a spirit backing every word,the Holy Spirit backs up the word of the believer,especially good words,and the devil backs up evil words.

Every good and perfect gift comes from above,from the father of light,every good gift,that means bad gifts do not come from God.

The prophets word is known to be heaven inspired and totally backed by God.By a prophet here i mean someone called by God to do his work,it could be your pastor,a man of God as they are called.

It is important that we know a prophet has heavens backing.

I remember the story in 1Samuel 1,about the Family of Elkanah,who had two wives,Hannah and Peninnah,Peninnah was blessed with children but Hannah was barren and without child,it was recorded that Peninnah would mock Hannah and she did it continuously till Hannah was vexed,she began going to the temple to seek the face of God,until one time when she went to pray,she was muttering words as if she was drunk,then the priest noticed her and asked why she was drunk in the day time.

She opened her mouth and told him,that she was not drunk but was depressed because of her barrenness,the bible didnt even say the priest prayed for her,it records that he told her Go in peace and may God grant your petition,she belived the word of the priest and went home,not too long she was with child,but this happened only after her encounter with the priest.

2Chronicles 20:20 says,believe in my prophets and you will prosper,our prosperity is tied to the words of your prophet.When the prophet speaks he speaks Gods mind,and he speaks a word in the right season,there is nothing as good as a word spoken in the right time.

Another story is in Luke 5,where Peter and his brothers,had just finished fishing and caught nothing,but Jesus asked them to set out again but they said,we have toiled all night but caught nothing,but Jesus insisted and Peter said at thy word,and they had a net breaking,boat sinking catch.

The words we give ourselves to,will go in a long way to affect us positively or negatively,discard any word from you that brings you down and makes you depressed,don't spend anytime with people who only bring to light to your flaws and mistakes,but stay around those who encourage and bring the best out of you,no matter who they are.

The atmosphere is the air or climate in a place.When i talk about changing your atmosphere i am talking about changing the air around you.

We all carry a certain air around us and the air we carry around us moves with us where ever we go with a certain aroma,and this aroma attracts either good or bad.

We must realize that our atmosphere determines what comes to us,there are some people who have a very strange atmosphere around them,that where ever they are or go they attract only something bad.

I used to know someone that actually always attracts bad,where ever he is ,something bad actually happens and everyone knew him that where ever he was something will always go wrong,especially a fight and there are some of us who actually face situations and they have concluded that bad luck follows them,that something bad always happens to them,I would like to show you a way how you can actually change your atmosphere and begin to practically attract good instead of evil.

The bible which is Gods word,shows us how we can do that,let us look at few ways how you can change your atmosphere:

CHANGE YOUR PERCEPTION ABOUT YOURSELF.

This is so important for us if we will actually have success in changing our atmosphere.
The way we think about ourselves smells around us like a perfume,the Bible in Proverbs 23:7 says “For as a man thinketh in his heart,so his he” the main word here is thinketh or thinks,that word is shaar which means to calculate,to reckon,to estimate.

The question now is,what is the estimation of yourself,how do you think of yourself?
You are exactly the way you think,you cannot separate a man from his mindset.That’s why the bible says “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” Luke 6:45,in other words,your mouth will only release what is in your heart.

The way we think about ourselves,will affect the direction of our lives,you cannot go further than your mindset.If you are going to change your atmosphere you must change the way you think.

Sometimes we allow ourselves to accept peoples estimation of us,other peoples estimation maybe a result of a one time event or performance,but you are not exactly what people say but what you believe,when you start accepting and believing peoples conclusion of you,you start becoming what they say you are.

Start changing what you keep your thoughts on and what you believe about yourself,think right,focus on what will build your life and not what will pull you down.

The book of Philipians 4:8 shows us things to focus our minds on,lets see “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things”

If there be any virtue and if there be any praise,think on these things,so the standard for your thoughts should be,is there any virtue,is there any praise? if you find non don’t waste your mind on them,fix on your mind on those things,that edify you,that lifts you up,I say think forward.

The mistake we make is when we wait on others to commend us and make us feel happy,I know from experience,that something people are not good at is to always commend and encourage you,you need to have the right mindset about you because no one will make you feel better,encourage yourself and have the right idea about who you really are.so think positive about yourself,change how you think.

THINK ON THE WORD

Finally you are not what people say you are,you are what God says you are,that’s why the best book to read so as to get the right idea about you is the bible,the bible shows you the thoughts of God towards you,he said and I love this scripture “my thoughts for you are good and not evil,to give you a hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11.

That’s how he thinks about you,he loves you,so when others say something bad,tell them I am who God says I am,I am the blood bought child of God,if you were not important and special and priceless,God would not have sent his son,his only begotten son to die for you,you are special,a royal priesthood,a holy nation,you were chosen before the foundation of the world to show forth Gods glory,you are special.

Change how you think,stop playing pity party,people don’t want to stay around those who are always sad,you won’t attract help staying sad,start changing your perception of yourself,right now,you are blessed and not cursed,you are the apple of Gods eyes,Gods special baby,start meditating on those things and you will see how your atmosphere will begin to change.

Don’t give the devil a foothold,something to hold unto,some people feel bad about themselves that they commit suicide,don’t let the devil use your thoughts to bring depression on yourself,you now live on drugs to help you be happy,that you become addicted to it and soon it kills you,the word of God is medicine for your soul,it has power to change your thoughts and your life forever.

The bible says “ For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” the word has the ability to work in your mind and deal with the depression and pain in your heart.

The word is alive and active,the word of God is full of enough life to energize and revitalize you,the word here is the spoken word of God,when you receive the spoken word into your spirit,it causes you to come alive,to be refreshed,strengthened and stronger,it takes always the inactivity in you causes you to become alive,that’s the word of God.

Start thinking on the word,pick up a scripture daily and meditate on it and see how your life will change,as you feed your spirit with the word,feed your spirit with songs that uplift you and edify you,not those that will make you think evil,you can change your atmosphere and start to attract only positivity and good,you attract what you respect,start thinking right and see the power that your thoughts will produce.

Receive the word of God that is able to save your souls,Gods word has the power to save your souls,I dare you to start seeing yourself as the word of God sees you,blessed,fulfilled,a success,wealthy and not poor,a giver and not a borrower,a blessing and not a curse,you are totally who God says you are,change your atmosphere.

Joshua 1:8 says “ This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”

The book of the law “the word of God” as you meditate on it day and night,you will be careful to do what it says,you shall be prosperous and have good success.

EMERGENCY EXIT

I remenber a few years ago,I and my friend were going to take a flight from Abuja in Nigeria to Warri,my town and for the first time my seat was just right at the emergency exit and I remenber as the hostess began to give instructions in case of any troubles what we needed to do,cold ran through my body with fear,just as she said,"in the case of a crash landing” someone else said “I reject it in Jesus name,we don’t need it” good prayer,but it was serious for me because I knew I had the responsibility with me to do something,in the case of any trobles,but thank God we landed safe.

An emergency exit in a structure is a special exit for emergencies such as a fire: the combined use of regular and special exits allows for faster evacuation, while it also provides an alternative if the route to the regular exit is blocked by fire, etc.It is usually a strategically located (e.g. in a stairwell, hallway, or other likely place) outward opening door with a crash bar on it and with exit signs leading to it. Emergency exit is vital for safety in the event of a fire outbreak and for easy evacuation of people out of the building. This is not a show of fear but wisdom,there are people who believe that when you as a child of God put such things in your building you are only attracting what you are trying to avoid,I would like to help such people think in the right direction. We say in my country “Prevention is better than cure” it is wisdom to have an emergency exit in your house,its for your safety and the safety of those in your household,not just exits but fire extinguishers and all the other safty equipments in the event of fire. We also need to build an emergency exit in our lives,this is important for safety in our relationships and businesses.We must learn to apply wisdom and faith in our dealings with other people. We need to clearly distinguish between faith and wisdom and foolishness.I see people confuse faith a lot for something else,sometimes we act in foolishness and call it faith.But we must have understanding in our dealings we must be wise. Faith is acting on the word of God.The word of God is the basis of our belief,we act on what we believe and that is the word of God.So it is vital that we understand scriptures clearly before we apply them. Wisdom is the application of understanding,as we know,knowledge is the acquisiton of information and understanding is the ability to put the information to their right places and wisdom is the actual application of understanding. So just having knowledge doesn’t make you wise.Experience is important for wisdom,experience can only be developed with time in practice,so as I use the understanding I gathered in reality,experience is built and with time wisdom is developed.Wisdom doesn’t come with prayer but with practice,putting to use what you know. Presumption,which is the the act of presuming,the assumption of something as true,but lets understand the word assumption,which is the act of taking for granted or supposing. Foolishness is resulting from or showing a lack of sense;ill considered;unwise;lacking forethought or caution. Some practice we call faith is total presumption or foolishness and I would like to give clear examples from scriptures some of the things we do out of lack of understanding but call faith and real life stories to also help; The bible in mark 16:18 says they shall pickup serpents and it shall not hurt them,some persons have gone on to the streets to start picking up serpents but got bitten by the serpents and some ended up dying that’s foolishness,because the bible never said,go out and pick up serpents,the emphasis was not on the serpent but the power of God that they receive.

I remenber some years ago how a man jumped into a lions den in the name of the lord and the lion ate him up after first taking out his private part,that’s another foolishness because even daniel didn’t opt to be thrown in there.

I remenber years ago,a friend has this dog and the dog was barking in a strange way,so he went out and shouted at the dog,with the finger pointed at the dog,saying in the name of Jesus shut up,and the dog bit his finger,foolishness in display.

I am not saying faith doesn’t work,but all I am saying is that we must be wise at all times,there are some things we can avoid and sort out by our selves,we must learn to use our discretion.

Sometimes we forget that the brain we have in our heads come from the lord and not from the devil.our brain is given for use,you can not understand mathematics by praying but by study,the holy spirit will not remind you of what you don’t already have some knowledge of,nobody is dumb,we all have the potentila to be better at anything if we can give ourselves to study,that is not to say we don’t need God but that God has given us all we need for life and Godliness.

We must put everything in its right place.We must be men in application.

Its not a display of fear to have an emergency exit in your life,its not a second plan but a plan with the main plan.Its not a second option but it goes with the original option.

Most people fail in business because they assume that everything will be okay we don’t have to worry about anything.

You are about to get into partnership with someone you know nothing about,and you are not doing the right things by getting a lawyer and writing the necessary agreements,but you assume he is a good guy and wont give you any problems.
A lot of people marry without taking certain things about eachother into deep consideration,you just assume he or she will be ok with time.
You change jobs without checking details about the new company,you just assume without doing the checks and you think its ok,when something goes wrong we cry God help.

Jesus said “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him” Luke 14:28-29 ; starting is not the issue but finishing,some people will say,leave it for the lord or when we get to that bridge we will cross it,well what if the bridge collapse and you can’t cross or crash with it?

You employ people without necessary qualifications but plenty of sentiments,maybe he is your relative sometimes they are the ones who run down the business,you got to put up your emergency exit.

What causes most accidents on the roads today? because people disobey traffic signs and not care about the traffic lights and drive when they should stop,then an accident,don’t worry lets go by faith,its foolishness.
We got to be wise,wisdom is profitable for all things,add wisdom to your faith,faith doesn’t walk alone there are other virtue that is necessary to add to faith to make it more effective.

Add to your faith virtue and to virtue knowledge and to knowledge self control and to self control perseverance and to perseverance godliness and to godliness brotherly kindness and to brotherly kindness love,it ends there because love is the totality of the christian life and if all these things abide in you,you will neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our lord Jesus Christ,for he who lacks these things is shortsighted,even to blindness.

Faith doesn’t walk alone if you must be a success in life and in your walk with God you must add these things to your faith.

DO THE IMPOSSIBLE

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23

It is easy to say for with God all things are possible,yes the responsibility is on God to do the impossible,and he is a God that makes impossible to become possible.We all face some situations that seem to be stubborn and look impossible but with God all things are possible.No matter the situation if God is on your side you can turn that impossible situation around.
The bible says in Luke 1:37 “for with God nothing shall be impossible”
when we read scriptures we must read carefully,it didn’t use the word “somethings shall be impossible”,it didn’t use “few things shall be impossible”,it used nothing shall be impossible,with God.There is no further explanation to this scripture, it is self explanatory,nothing shall be impossible.
I am sure you know what the word nothing and impossible mean,but just to help throw more light,I would define the words.
The word Nothing means “ something that has no existence; something that has no substance or importance- a nonentity.the absence of anything.”
And the word Impossible means “not capable of been accomplished; extremely difficult to deal with or tolerate.”
So simply put with God impossible doesn’t exist.In Gods dictionary there is nothing like impossible.
No matter the situation proving difficult,never categorize it as impossible,impossible doesn’t exist,if you have God wipe it out of your vocabulary,that’s why I turned it to mean I’M POSSIBLE.
The word only exist with men,I mean those men that are not with God,Jesus said of such people,that its impossible.For with God ALL THINGS are possible,everything,there is nothing in life that’s not possible with God.
Now with men somethings are possible,but not all things even with all the wealth,somethings are not possible with men.
God doesn’t worry about those things men can handle,that’s why scriptures say those things that are impossible with men are possible with God.God starts from mans impotency,as men we are weak and have weakness,but the man with God is above all weakness.
So how can we get to the rein where we can do the impossible,its okay with for with God all things are possible,yes God can do all things but I have learnt that a true leader wants you to be able to do all he can do and much more,if truly we have all of God in us then we should be able to do the impossible too,if our God could create then we have creative ability,so if our father is a God of possibilities then we are people of possibilities.

HAVE FAITH

I would like to define faith as a double edged sword,it is Acting on what you believe,so the double edge sword is believe and your actions.
Faith is an action word,just believing and confessing is not enough,until you Do it its not faith.Faith is a now word,not I will be,that is a future word,that is hope,faith says now I am healed, now I am delivered,then you start acting it.
In mark 11:24,when you pray you believe you received it,you shall have it” it didn’t say if you believe you will have it it said if you desire a thing pray,believe that you received it then you will have it.

BELIEVE
Mark 9:23 “to him that believes all things shall be possible”
so the first thing you need to do is believe,the word believe here is a verb a doing word,an action word just like the word faith is an action word,it is translated from the greek pisteuo meaning ; to be persuaded;to credit;to place confidence in.
Another translation says if you have faith,so if you must do the impossible you got to have faith in God,your confidence on the word of God,the disciples had difficulty with casting out a spirit from a boy who had been tormented for a while,but Jesus said if you believe,you can do the impossible,so the impossible is not something left alone for God,if you believe,you can do the impossible;do you really believe?
The size of your faith is not the issue,we must realise that when we gave our hearts to christ we all received the same measure of faith but our growth is dependent on us.But to do the impossible you don’t need to have great faith,faith in God is powerful for any situation,if you can believe and apply it on that situation,you will see results.
All you need to do is believe,that means unbelief restricts us from doing the impossible.
We restrict God when we walk in unbelief.The bible says that the Israelites “limited God because of their unbelief” ,and “Jesus could do not much miracles because of the unbelief of the people in his town.”
How then can I receive faith? when I accept Jesus as my lord and saviour.
How can I grow my faith? by hearing the word of God consistently and putting it to practice.
So all things can be possible if you believe,all things not somethings or few things all things.

ACT ON YOUR BELIEFS
Just believing is not enough but doing the word is what brings the word to manifestation.Doing brings the manifestation of the word,so just believing it and confessing it is not enough but doing,that’s where faith is faith in the doing.
That’s why faith is defined as “Acting on what you believe” so confession is a part of acting but the actual acting is doing what you confessed,let me give you a clear example;
Jesus walked on water,ok its jesus he is God so its easy for him to walk on water,but when the disciples saw him they weren’t sure even when he said “its I don’t be afraid”,so Peter being the forward guy said,I know that, Jesus can walk on water and he can make me walk on water too,so if you are him,bid me come to you,so Jesus said come,then peter obeyed and he too walked on water,if Peter didn’t obey he wouldn’t have walked on water,now he walked on water for a short time because he saw the boisterous wind and his faith wavered so he began to sink,the bible says.
What does this tell us if you can do,that is Act on the word,what the word says,you can see impossible turning possible.
After Jesus ,Peter was the only other person that walked on water,because he belived and acted on his belief.
So if you can believe as well,then nothing shall be impossibl with you,you can do the things God can do and even more.
If its possible with God,then its not wrong to say its also possible with you,just believe and act on it.
The doctors may say you have an incurable disease,say that by his stripes I was healed and the act healed,do those things you were told not to do,because just believing without acting isnt enough but be sure you believe,if you don’t have enough faith for that level,go see the doctor.
Abrahams faith in God got him greatness,he obeyed God he was gonna kill his son Isaac,if God had not stopped him,do you see that level of faith,Abraham was allowed to taste the powers of the future because he acted on his faith he believed God and acted on it and it was credited to him as righteousness.
Faith is acting on the word,the word of God is a double edged sword,so is faith,believing and acting on what you believe,all impossibilities disappear when you act on the word of God.Faith is totally acting on the word of God.

Do you know there is only one you and non other like you?

when God made you,he made only you,special you.He took time to make sure there was no other you in this world,that means you are special and unique.

He put abilities and gifts in you that makes you unique,different from every other person.

stop trying to be like someone else,you will end up been a copy.Be the original that God created you to be,don’t cry about how you look,instead be thankful that no one looks like you,your difference is what makes you unique.Imagine everyone else looks exactly like you.

Be the best you there can ever be in this world,live your life to the fullest,maximize every potential God has given to you.Be yourself,stop comparing yourself to other people,they are different from you,don’t make any man your standard you are what and who God made you and who he says you are.

He is your maker and he is in the best position to call you by name.Don’t allow the name that others call you to stick into your head,call yourself by the name God calls you.

The bible says that God made you in his image and likeness,do you understand what that means? to be made in the image and likeness of God,let me help you understand what it means:

The word translated image is Tselem in hebrew meaning a Resemblance and the word translated likeness in the hebrew is Demuwth meaning similitude or like as,so that means God created us to look like him,we are the resemblance of God;Gods look a alike,we are an outward representation of God,that means when someone sees us they have seen Gods look alike.

But he didn’t stop there,after making man,the bible says“male and female created he them” you are not a male or female by chance,it was divine orchestration,so stop the crying about your sex and don’t get confused about your sex,God gave you a sexual organ suitable for your sex,you cannot be a man with the sex organ of a woman or a woman with the sex organ of a man,don’t get it twisted.

Chapter two of Genesis gave proper details of how it happened,he did not only create us to look like him outward,but chapter 2 tells us that after he formed you he breathe into man and man became a living soul,that means that we don’t only look like God but we have all that makes him God, inside of us.

“And God brethe into the nostrils of man,the breath of life and man became a living soul” Genesis 2:7.

The word breath in hebrew is Neshamah meaning spirit or breath of God and the word life in hebrew is Chay meaning Living or alive,that means when the word says breath of live it means the spirit that made man living or alive,that’s why it further said “and man became a living soul” in other words man became a person.

So God did not only make you like him he gave you his life that makes you a person.You are not a person because of what you do,you are a person of value because of what God impacted into you,his spirit.

No wonder the bible calls us Gods in psalms 82:6 that “Ye are gods and sons of the most high”,its not mistaken,because that’s what happened in Genesis,you can only give what you are and God gave us what he is, God.

That’s exactly why chapter one says he gave man dominion over all of creation,he gave man power to subdue and dominate.its our nature to be in charge and not under.

start seeing your self differently,be the very best that you can be,there is so much potential within you,Gods personality is what you have.Trying to be like someone else is an insult on God,its like saying God you created rubbish but after he created you,he looked at you and said you are God.

You are blessed not because I say so but because of the abilities you have in you,you need to start seeing yourself as such.

Gods representative,his resemblance,his look alike,with his person in you,that means anything God can do you can,if he could create,you can create.

Start seeing yourself as the God that you are mean to be,his representation here on earth.

ARISE AND FLY

“Arise and shine for thy light is come and the glory of God is risen upon thee”.Isaiah 60:1

The most difficult step to take in achieving your God given vision is always the first step,after you have discovered what you are meant to do,the fear of starting becomes our first challenge.The stage of writing out the plan and drawing up a strategy is not a problem but to take that first step to begin fulfilling the dream of your life.
God has recently spoken to my heart to start a work,this is something I know I am called out for,everything else I do,outside of this would be nothing,but I was so scared and I would like to share some of the fears I had with you,I believe this would be a blessing to you.

The fear of “I am not good enough”

I always knew this was what I was going to do,I remenber when I owned a business I always told my friends,that business was just a thing for the now,ministry was my life.With all the confirmations I had gotten,but I still didn’t feel good enough,I felt there are others who could have done it better than me.
But the bible says that God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise,and the weak things to confound the strong. 1Corinthians 1:27
I would like you to know that the feeling of “Not good enough” is a feeling that would keep you in the place called average,its not from God.The fact that God picked you means you are qualified for the job,and God has choosen you specifically so that he can prove to you that he can do something out of your life,so stop feeling not good enough,if God saw the guys that were good enough and still chose you,you got to be good enough.
Know that you have been chosen before the foundation of the world to do this job,its your call and only you are meant to carry out this responsibility.Ephesians 1:4
when God called moses,moses complained to God that he wasn,t good enough,but God showed him what he will do, with the “not good enough moses”.That’s why I have learnt not to cry over my weakness but to trust entirely in Gods grace that is made perfect in my weakness and this is the key to dealing with this feeling,how can you do that? begin to see yourself the way God sees you,because you are what God says you are,if God says you are qualified,then you are qualified.
Yes there are others better than you but remenber there is non of them like you,you are specially picked by God to solve a particular need,your clients have been waiting for you to arrive,don’t step back,you have the more than enough God with you and he will perfect that which he has started,brace yourself and move toward your dreams.

The fear of “not been Accepted”

In life you must know that Gods report of you is more important to you than what people say.I believe that something is wrong,if everyone accepts your vision,you must have those who will reject you.
Even Jesus was rejected by men.Most times your vision will be rejected by those who are closest to you.Stop waiting for the acceptance of man,and start the work,don’t be afraid,for you are already accepted by God.
Success in life is your ability to overturn the negatives.life is full of negatives,and sometimes more of it will come from friends and family.
The law of averages states that,out of every ten clients you speak to you will always get one yes,I worked in a marketing firm,where I was asked to speak to as much as 300 clients daily in the field and I am expected to get just 30 yes,in the process I have to overturn 270 no’s.
My job is to look for thirty persons that will buy my product,but I must overturn two hundred and seventy persons who will say no to me.Your success lies in your ability to overturn the No’s in your favor.
That’s life,we have loads of no’s to overturn for our success,focus on the yes and not the no’s.Everyone will not accept your vision but know that certainly everyone will not refuse it also.
You must be ready to take some risks to fulfill your God given potential,you must be determined.Having a dream is one thing but I always ask the question,how badly do you want to achieve that dream?
Joseph in scriptures had a dream, he was rejected by his brothers,but he stood his ground and was faithful till he got to where God wanted him to,but the route to that place was a tough one.
It is more risky not to attempt on your dreams,its better your tried and failed than not to try at all.

The fear of failing

I am someone who never wants to fail at anything in life,though I am not afraid of it,I always give my best,but you might not be me.I think the greatest thing that prompts that thought of failing is what others will say,how will I be looked at by others when I fail? These are some questions that runs through your mind.
But failing at something doesn’t necessarily disqualify you from succeeding.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Those where the words of the man who discovered the light bulb,after trying so many times and failing but eventually got it,the man Thomas Edison.
You can not deal with your fear sitting down and doing nothing,take your chances and be like Esther in the bible who said,she would see the king against the law,”if I perish I perish”,until you get to that state of mind you are not ready.
“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” Dale Carnegie.
If you fail,so what! failing at anything gives you the Asset of experience that others don’t have,experience is said to be the best teacher,there are people who shy away from trying anything because they are scared of failing.Sometimes you must move out of your comfort zone to bring out the best in you.
I have failed before,but I bet you I am smarter than most people.Gray hair without experience is not wisdom,no man is said to be wise without experience,you can only get Wisdom from experience.

Those are words of some great men,who had successes at their field,failure most times precedes success.Its inspiring to read that from Michael Jordan,be encouraged,you are not a failure until you give up.
The only way you can be remenbered for something is when you do something.Peter and his friends have tried but caught nothing,now Jesus the master came and said,lets go fishing again,but they refused saying “we have toiled all night and caught nothing” but thank God at the word of Jesus they tried again,don’t give up on your dreams because you tried before and failed,get up and keep trying till you win,”its not over till you win”
Don’t give up easily,those who give up will never be a success at anything.
Robert Schuller said failure doesn’t mean you are a failure,it means you have yet succeeded”
Keep at it and you will succeed.
Sometimes we spend time waiting for God to do a miracle,for us to succeed,stop waiting and start acting,you sometimes wonder why it looks as if God is not doing nothing about your situation,he is actually waiting for you to do something,the first move is yours to take,the ball is in your court.

When I look back in retrospect at my life and the experiences that have molded the person I am today, I would say I am glad at the way things have turned out for me, I know I am not where I ought to be but I know I am not where I used to be.

Our life today is a series of different experiences that either makes us positively or negatively. The mindset that we have today, the attitude and habits that we have today are a result of our past experiences.

Experiences don't make us except we allow them to. We are a product of our decisions of yesterday. In my country we say “you make your bed the way you want to lie on it"

Mike Murdock says "Don't complain about what you permit"

We are actually the architect of the future we desire to have. No man can actually take responsibility for the future we eventually have but us. People come into your lives for a purpose and a time; nobody stays in your life forever. We have friends today, we even call them best friends but something happens and they are no more our friends.

Only the lazy and the irresponsible blame others for what they turn out to become.

Some of us have experiences we don't want to remember, in the past, things we rather forget and keep away from people, I do have some too. But I would like to say to you, “your life is a combination of your past experiences, you cannot have a today without a yesterday”.

Our past whether good or bad is important for what we eventually become.

I always tell people the experience is not the problem but how you let it affect you, positively or negatively. Some people have killed themselves because of something that happened to them, some have lost it and gone crazy, some live in an asylum right now, because they couldn’t handle it, some don't talk to anyone secluded themselves from family and friends because they are hurt, some even hate everyone else in the world, some have turned to alcohol and are destroying their lives.

But if you must be a success in this life you must stand up and face your past, face your haters, those who treated you bad and stop running from them. I would like to let you know that you are no more living in yesterday but today,dont allow your past determine how you live today, instead use your past to make a better today, let the experiences of your past motivate you positively for a better life today.

Think of the kind of life you want to have and go for it. Don’t let the hurt and pain caused by others make you put your life on a hold. Don’t allow forgiveness make you not have a life, the only person that gets hurt when you keep a grudge is YOU. Let go and let God!

You have a good life and future awaiting you, don’t let you destroy yourself.

Yes she hurt you bad, yes he hurt you really bad, but when you keep a hurt you always stay back and you never excel 100% the way you ought to.

Your past is gone and you can’t do anything about it, but you got today and the future ahead of you, make your life count, make the best out of your today, spend your energy going for your dreams than to waste it hurting over someone going forward.

You are not what people say that you are, or what your past is saying, you are what God says you are and what you are making of yourself and your experiences. Maybe you made a mistake and so what! Move on, learn from the past mistake and have a life.

Paul shows us what to do, in Philippian’s 3:12-14:

12 Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own.13 I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,14 I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.15

Like Paul, you got to press on to the reason why Christ created you, you need to understand that he created you with a purpose and for a purpose, but you got to press toward it.There is a call higher than your past experiences and you need to understand that God allows you to go through some things, some of our experiences qualify us for the call, you are better at what you have experience at.

Press forward not backwards, people who think on their past never get hold of the future that they are meant to have.

The next thing Paul said is "forgetting those things that are behind".

Imagine a man running forward with his eyes closed; he is certainly heading for a fall, that’s exactly what you do when you focus on those things in your past you will not get the goal.

Forget those things that are behind, stop feeling guilty about something that happens ages ago, don’t restrict yourself because of something you did, you asked for forgiveness he forgave you move on, stop crying over spilled milk. It’s in the past.

Forget about the hurts, when I say forget I mean, don’t carry the hurt, of course sometimes you will remember but with a smile, that you have been delivered. Some of you are pressing on but still holding on to those things in the past, it’s a weight and in Hebrews 12:2;

Says "drop every weight and every sin that besets you”, drop every weight, and run toward the goal with all you got.

You are a bestseller in the making, your story is a combination of the good and the bad and the ugly but you are still here because you did not allow your past to kill you. God has a beautiful plan for you and his intent is to give you a good life.

Robert Schuller says "tough times don’t last but tough people do”.

There is a clear difference between asking for something and talking it.
When you ask for something,you are making a request,when you talk it,you are making a declaration.
Our life is a combination of our thoughts,requests and declarations.
The bible says "Out of the abundance of the heart,the mouth speaketh".
Every spoken word is a finished product from the heart or mind.
Our heart first settles on it before our mouth speaks it.
That's why the bible cautions us to Guard our hearts,because out of it flows the issues of life.We speak what we are.
We must make it an obligation to guard our heart,In other words we must be careful about what we give our attention to.What you watch and what you listen to.Your eyes and your ears are doorways to your heart.
Our lives is built by our beliefs,what we ask for and what we speak.
The totality of a man's life consist of his belief system.How you think,lays the foundation of your life,but your words are the bricks you use in the actual building itself,but if the foundation is not strong the building is certain to come crumbling down.
Thinking a thing doesnt guarantee success but speaking it,over and over again,till you see it.
You are a product of your words.
Proverbs 18:21 says,"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]."
Death and life are entirely two extremes.There can not be more extremes than death and life.
Your words can either produce death or life.
Jesus said "The words that i speak to you are spirit and they are life"
The world we see today is the product of our words.Your life today is the product of your words.
"And they who indulge in it,will eat the fruit there of"
Your negative words will produce death and your positive words or word of faith will produce life.
You can not be more than your words,your words are the standard of your life.
That means your success or failure in life is tied to the words you say.Romans 10:8
We are snared by the words of our mouth,the words spoken by other people will have no effect as far as we refuse to accept them,but the words spoken by us has the ability to destroy or better our lives.Proverbs 6:2.
The earth was created by the word from the mouth of God,from Genesis 1:3,"And God said"our words have the ability to create our desires into existance.
"God calleth those things that be not as though they were" Romans 4:17.
We have the power to create the kind of life we desire with our words,start creating.
Especially if you are a born again child of God,stop complaining and start creating,your words can either make you or unmake you.Start speaking to reality those things that be not.
Do not allow your condition to develop your confession but let your faith in the word of God build your confession.
Develop the right mentality by hearing the word of God,"Faith comes by hearing the word of God" Romans 10:17.
Start speaking what God's word has said about you,start creating your world with the spoken word of God.
All that you need to succeed is in your mouth.
Speak words of success and not defeat,your words define your thoughts,i can tell if you are defeated already by the words that proceed out of your mouth.
Speak your way to the top,stop speaking defeat.
Your words can either release fear or faith.
When you speak negative words,negative things are sure to be released into your atmosphere,but if you speak positive words good is sure to come to you.Start declaring into reality the life you want to have and you will have it in no short time.

There is a time for everything,a time to ask,a time to declare,now is the time to begin to decalare;I am healed;I am a success;All my needs are met;I am rich in Christ;Lines are falling for me in pleasant places.
Start making declarations and what you speak is what you will see.

A short story about focus by Coach Al Johnson:

For weeks a lion tamer in-training had observed his teacher very carefully.He paid close attention to every move his teacher made,especially the timing.He asked many good questions and just about everything made perfect sense to him.However,one thing stood out as odd. Each time his teacher entered the lions cage he took a stool in with him and always pointed it with the legs towards the lions face.

Puzzled as to why this was,he asked yet another good question, "Teacher,why is it that you never enter the lions cage without the stool,i have watched you carefully for weeks now and i do not understand."

The teacher responded, "Yet another wise observation you have made.Pointing the four legs of the stool to the lions face causes him to try and focus on all four at once.This act tames him as it divides his focus and sends him into a state of paralysis."

This story illustrates the power of focus.As you look at your life,career,are you focused or paralyzed by a lack of focus.Through focus we can achieve great things,you can set priorities,give attention to the task ahead and deliver great results.
One of mans greatest challenges is staying focused,in a fast paced,technology driven world,we live in.But staying focused is perhaps the best way to get things done,with our lives and career.So how do we keep our eyes on the ball when its bouncing around from court to court?
How many goals are you chasing right now? " if you are chasing more than one thing,you are likely to come empty handed."
You end up all over the place without focus.A lack of focus will cause you to exact much effort and accomplish very little.
Through focus we are able to set priorities,concentrate on tasks at hand and deliver very high results.
Here are a few ways you should focus and achieve high results;

Focus on one thing

" I have asked one thing
from the LORD—
it’s all I seek—
to live in the LORD’s house
all the days of my life,
seeing the LORD’s beauty
and constantly adoring his temple." Psalms 27:4(Common English Bible)

Even David understood the power of focusing on Just One thing. "I have asked one thing from the lord-its all i seek",when you seek too many things at the same time,you will likely end up with achieving non.

"He who chases two rabbits catches none" Confucius

Most of us are chasing a dozen rabbits at the same time and a few elephants.Multitasking is a productivity nightmare,if you will be productive you got to be focused one one thing.
How can we focus?
Set Priorities-distinguish the important from the immediate.There will always be many things to do,but there will be the one number one thing,do that first.
In economics we call it have a scale of preference.Draw up a list according to the order of most important to less important.Focus on the most important,take it one after the order,one step at a time.
You become what you focus on,your focus becomes your reality.
All that we are,is a result of what we put our thoughts on.
No life ever grows great,until it is focused,disciplined and dedicated.
"God will keep in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on him"
What is that one thing you desire?keep your focus on it and you will achieve it.

Write it down

Priorities not written down may never be achieved.

Get a diary or Journal and write it down.

Write down your main goal and put a deadline on your goals.The deadline gives you a sense of urgency.Everything that has a start must have an End.Its important you write it down,so you can see it and read it daily.

Write down your main goal and smaller steps that you must take daily to achieve that main goal.

Make the steps short and simple.Write at least three to five things you must do daily to achieve your goals and do them.

Give quality time to your goals

Setting goals is not enough,but you must give quality time to working on your goals.Quality time to planning and thinking about your goals and also working to achieving it.What you give your time to,tells much about you.

Spend quality time with video or audio tapes,books and anything that will positively move you in the direction of your dreams.

The internet is such a great tool,but lots of us spend more time in chatting with people,discussing irrelevant things.Find out information,read articles and watch messages on you tube,make the most of the tool of the internet.

How much time daily,do you give to building yourself,take out quality time,time spent on developing of yourself is time spent in the bettering of your future.

Avoid distractions

" But when you pray, go to your room, shut the door, and pray to your Father who is present in that secret place. Your Father who sees what you do in secret will reward you." Matthew 6:6

When ever i want to have my devotion,i put off my phone and shut my mind from anything else,so i can focus on God alone.This is the same attitude you must put up in life,if you are going to achieve your dreams.

"The first rule of focus is this, where ever you are,be there"

If you must achieve anything daily,you must cut yourself off from some people,turn off your phone,put off your television,put off your chat browser.Choose an environment that will encourage your focus. Create the right atmosphere for work,choose the best time,especially when everyone has gone to bed and is sleeping.
The attitude you give to your devotions,would affect your life,either positively or negatively.

Calm your Mind

One of the biggest distractions are the thoughts racing through our minds,when we are trying to get something done.Don't listen to them,take charge and redirect your mind to the job at hand.
The environment you choose to work in affects your success,i most times like to work in a quiet environment with some beautiful slow music,i work better in such environment.
Good music helps you to concentrate and work better.
Another way to calm your mind is meditating on the right things,put your mind on things that are good and positive;

"whatever is true,whatever is noble,whatever is right,whatever is pure,whatever is lovely,whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things." Philippians 4:8

Another way to calm your mind is to Pray;

"Do not be anxious about anything,but in everything,by prayer and and petition,with thanksgiving,present your request to God."Philippians 4:6

The prayer of thanksgiving produces results beyond your imagination.

Exercise

Exercise is a very powerful way to reduce stress,as endorphin's are released by the pituitary gland to block out feelings of pain or stress. Serotonin,another chemical released while exercising improves our mood and our sense of happiness.

Exercise creates energy and from experience,it helps you to prepare for the days job.It prepares you for the day mentally and physically

I worked in a firm years ago,that was into sales and promotion,we have a room in that building,were you can not come in except you are excited.We called it motivation room,very loud music and loud noise is allowed in that room,to keep us stirred for the days work,and we also practice our pitching for any product in that room before we go out to the field.

Exercise your mind also,speak to yourself,motivating words and inspiring words,wake up every morning saying loud to yourself,words that will provoke you to do something toward your goals.

Exercise is also responsible for the creation of new neurons in the brain which enable us to process and store information more easily.

"For physical training is of some value" 1Timothy 4:8a

Get that value you get from Exercise.It will profit you here and it will keep you healthy and strong so you can achieve your goals.

"We are what we think,we become what we focus our eyes on,our thoughts and desires and habits,we either ascend to the full divine dignity of our nature or we descend to suffer and learn." J. Todd Ferrier

Doubt is one of the things that breaks our focus,fear is the mother of doubts and the bible makes it clear,that a man who doubts will not receive anything from God ,James 1:6.
When we doubt we move out of position,like having a dislocation,and can't receive,because you already doubted.
The bible says believe,hold on,keep your focus,don't allow the waves of the sea make you loose focus.
When peter lost focus,when you took his eyes off Jesus and put it on the boisterous wind,he began to sink.
when we focus we can do and see the supernatural.Matthew 14:27-31.

The Power of Association

The development of your life either positively or negatively is dependent on your association.Who your friends are,goes a long way to determine your success in life.You can not improve more than the people you spend more of your time with.When you choose friends,chose those who will add value to your life and not those who will make your life reduce in value.We may not have the choice to choose our biological parents,but we sure have the choice on the association we keep.What are your goals and vision for life? let your goals determine who your friends are.I would like to share thoughts of a few great men on the Power of Association.
Colin Powell,who was one time Secretary of State of the United States of America,has this to say on the power of association:
“The less you associate with some people, the more your life will improve.
Any time you tolerate mediocrity in others, it increases your mediocrity.
An important attribute in successful people is their impatience with negative thinking and negative acting people. As you grow, your associates will change. Some of your friends will not want you to go on. They will want you to stay where they are. Friends that don’t help you climb will want you to crawl. Your friends will stretch your vision or choke your dream. Those that don’t increase you will eventually decrease you".
You need to realize that you don't need too many people in your life if you must achieve your dreams.You must be able to distinguish your friends from your fans.Stay with friends who motivate you and encourage you to go for your dreams.There are so many people who are just around you and they add nothing to your life.
I use the pareto principle,i spend 20% of my time with 80% of people who add little value to my life and 80% of my time with the 20% that add more value to my life,thats the secrete of productivity.
I worked in a marketing company in the UK years ago,and i remenber my director used to say,if you will be a success in this company you must spend most of your time being friends with those we call high rollers,we say Roll with the high Rollers,those who consistently make more money and sell more,and i became a high Roller in a short time because my best friend was the guy who sold the most and i learnt from him.
This is so important,if you get this you will experience not just a mental change but a spiritual and physical change,we must understand that real change starts in your mind,even the bible says Evil communication corrupts good manners" no matter how strong you seem,the wrong company affects you negatively.Show me your friends and i will tell you who you are,i dont need a prophet to tell you were you are going to end,all i need is to see those you hang out with,you can change were you are going to today,by changing your association.
Be careful who speaks into your life,never tell your problems to those who cannot contribute to the solutions.never follow those who are not going anywhere,with some people you spend and evening but with others you invest it.
Wise is the person who fortifies his life with the right friendships. If you run with wolves, you will learn how to howl, but if you associate with eagles, you will learn how to soar to great heights.
“A mirror reflects a man’s face, but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses.” The simple but true fact of life is that you become like those with whom you closely associate – for the good and the bad. ( Colin Powell )
According to Rohn Jim,we become the combined average of the five people we hang around the most.The people we spend our time with will determine what conversations dominate our attention and what observations,attitudes and opinions we repeatedly are introduced to.
The lesson Jim Rohn wants you to learn is that,we will have the combined attitude,health and income of five people you hang around with.Imagine this,Les Brown puts it this way,that you earn two to three thousand dollars of your closest friends.If everyone you know,earns nothing more than a 100dollars,you can imagine what you are likely to earn.
Evaluate your associations into three categories:

Disassociation: decide the quality of life you want to live then associate yourself with people who represent and support that vision.There are some people you might need to break away from completely,it might not be easy,but you cannot surround yourself with negative influences,kiss them goodbye,it might be a girlfriend.
Limited Associations:Decide how much you can be influenced based on how those people represent themselves.There are people you can spend 3hours with and not 3days and others 3minutes and not 3hours.Spend your time wisely,smartly and make sure its productive.
Expanded Associations:What ever area you want to see improvement on,find those who represent the success you want,could be parenting skills,academic success,relationships,the life style you want,and spend time with them.Join organisations, businesses,and health clubs were this people are and make friends with them.

Associations are both subtle and powerful,we must be careful.Take time out and start,evaluating your friendships,you cant please everyone,you must be concerned about your future,spend your time with those who can add value to your life,those who motivate you.

What truly is success?

I am so moved and inspired to write this today and I hope you can truly understand my motivation. Today I read a very long story about a man who today is termed a success, this is not the first I have read of various men, coming from the back side of life and today they have made it to the top, and they give us this long story of how they made it. He said so much on how he struggled through his life, and how now he has attained success. Great story very inspiring but I have an issue and I want you to reason with me, you reading this right now.

I want to ask a question, what truly is success? I have heard so many definitions, let me let you in on some. Owning a business? Or buying a Lexus jeep? Or owning a mansion of Gold? Or been married to Miss world? Or having kids? Or travelling the world? Is that your definition of success? What does it mean to you? Most of the so called successful men and women, we see today, either die broke or commit suicide, they have broken marriages, and may be have married four or five times. Most of them are unhappy; any success that takes away your peace, joy and love and family from you is not true success. I want to think of success in another angle and I think it’s the most important.

Success is not an achievement, it’s not a one time achievement, oh, I finally bought my dream car, that’s not success. I will again define it in the following way. Success is a journey and not a destination, don’t think of success as a place but see it as a path. Success is a journey you can enjoy one day at a time. Success is a daily thing; you can be successful one day or one decision at a time. “If you can handle today correctly, tomorrow you can take care of yourself”

Success is a decision at a time, you don’t become a success when you get a diploma, you become a success when you decided to go to college, when you get your diploma you get the rewards of success.

The best definition of success I have ever read is the one given by my mentor, John Maxwell, saying, “SUCCESS IS KNOWING YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE, GROWING TO REACH YOUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL AND SOWING SEEDS TO BENEFIT OTHERS”

It only starts with discovering your purpose, then growing to reach your maximum potential, but a lot of people stop here and call it success, sorry you are not yet successful according to Gods standard, in fact you are poor. The part that really makes you a success is SOWING SEEDS TO BENEFIT OTHERS, in the first place why would God allow us into so much wealth, so we can buy a car? No! So we can own a house, certainly not its more than that, so we can reach and affect the lives of others.

He told Abraham “I will bless you and make you a blessing” so my conclusion is; your life of success actually starts when you start to sow seeds that will benefit others, you have so much and people around you, are hungry, you are not a success but a failure.

In Africa the rate of poverty is so high, children are hungry and suffering, people are homeless and live on the streets; a lot of persons have turned to prostitution and crime to survive. But just one man rides a car that costs two million five hundred thousand dollars. One man steals over six billion naira from a state treasury and enriches him and family. Some of the richest men in the world today are recorded to have come from Africa, but still Africa cries to the rest of the world for help.

The next generation needs to get it right, we don’t need to wait for bill gates to come help us, or the United States of America but we have what it takes.

This is my definition of success, giving back to society, helping the less privileged, feeding the hungry, giving homes to the homeless, creating jobs for others.Dont be rich alone, carry others along, help someone else have a life.

God’s life is the best quality of life, it’s a life that never dies and never goes deem. This life is not sustained by our body system, but it’s sustained by Gods spirit. When a king is anointed in the Old Testament, the bible immediately records that he becomes another man, like the anointing on him changes him entirely, like a transformation takes place.

God put his life in us, and that quality of life changes us totally inside out. We are different; we are not ordinary, because the source of our life is from the supernatural. This life within us has the potential to quicken our mortal bodies to life eternal. Romans 8:11

You are not ordinary; you are the very representation of god here in this world. The life should reflect in all we do, academics, business, family. We are the very image and likeness of God. We are not ordinary.

But why do we live in this world and we still see the degradation, even with the presence of the church, the very people of God. Check the state of the nations of the world, when we talk of the wealthiest men of the world we see only those who don’t believe God, the BILL GATES and Warren Buffets are not saved folks, these men do legal businesses and they don’t have the Holy Spirit, yet make so much impact in the world.

How can we impact our world? We complain of the government and leadership problems all over the world, the corruption, drought, floods, the deaths, terrorism, why are we here? There is no time to waste, we have been talking about finding your purpose, but you must grow to reach our maximum potential.

We read of our brother Daniel in the book of Daniel, it’s said of Daniel that he was a man that has an excellent spirit, an exceptional spirit, a man who distinguished himself that he was made a ruler in his time. The king Nebuchadnezzar was not a Christian, in a kingdom were the king wasn’t a believer Daniel makes the difference. Daniel 5:12; 6:3.

The Holy Spirit makes that difference in us, Job said that there is a spirit in man and the spirit of the almighty gives him understanding. The presence of God distinguishes you the believer.

We need to be men of understanding, Paul said and my lord shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory, through Christ Jesus, GOD takes care of your need and you take care of your wants.

I know a very fat sister, who believes God that she will be slim, and still eats fatty foods, sorry sister, you will get fatter. It’s not the job of the Holy Ghost to make you slim, what you have is called fats, and it can be burnt out by jogging and dropping on your intake of fatty foods and cream and oily meals, stop troubling God about what you can handle.

We are just been lazy, that’s why we cannot make any impact, and we expect the lord to take care of everything so we can just relax and eat and be fat.

We must grow to reach our maximum potential, how? By working, practicing and exercising our gifts as the opportunities arise. We got no time to be lazy about our lives and futures.

I would like to share with you some sights that are very important for success in life, when we speak of sight, we are talking about the way you see, your ability to see. How you are able to perceive situations will help in bringing about solution. Perception is everything, your perceptions determines your attitude.

· SIGHT:

When we talk of sight, we are referring to your ability to see, with your eyes you can see the natural, but we are not talking about your physical eyes we are talking about your minds eyes. Sight speaks of your view, your perspective of life and situations. That perspective built overtime is called mindset. When we talk of mindset, we talk of a habitual or characteristic mental attitude, which determines how you will interpret or respond to situations.

We all respond to situations differently, why? Because we see things differently, trained from different backgrounds. Mindset are like spectacles, when you put a pink spectacle on, everything turns pink in your eyes. Some people sees things very negatively because of their mindset, our mindset affects our relationships with people, our attitude to work and life.

A mindset can either be negative or positive; we need to maintain a positive mindset to have success and to be successful in life. Someone with a negative mindset trust nobody, gets easily worried, full of fear all the time and believes nothing and nobody, cannot work with anyone, other than themselves, complains about everyone, always right never takes to corrections because they believe that they are better, there are those who look down on others because they have a mindset of the kind of people they can relate with, that’s a negative mindset and it’s not good for success.

A positive mindset for example been kind to others, and treating older people with respect, going to work early. Your mindset helps you in building the right values. So your mindset affects the way you see people and things.

HOW MINDSETS DEVELOP

Mindsets are learned as a result of the experiences we have had in our lives. The thoughts, beliefs, assumptions, and attitudes about ourselves and the world around us are conclusions we arrive at, based on what has happened in our lives. We learn things in different ways. We may learn from direct experiences, the media, observing what other people do, and listening to what people say. This means that our experiences in our childhood, family of origin, and the particular society we lived in, schools we went to, and with our friends – all these have influenced our thoughts and beliefs about all sorts of things, including ourselves, eating, body shape and weight, and control. When we arrive at particular conclusions about ourselves or the world and others, we may also begin to behave in certain ways as a result of these conclusions. When this happens, our behavior then serves to reinforce or strengthen that conclusion.

It may be helpful to think of your mind as a DVD player and your mindsets as a collection of DVDs. What you see on the screen depends on what DVD is being played. Everyone has different mindsets within themselves, different ‘DVDs’, for example a ‘work’ DVD or a ‘friends’ DVD. These get activated in different settings, and influence your thinking and behavior differently when you’re at work or out with friends.

There is a right mindset for achieving success in life, there are guys that have the mindset that using any means whether legal or illegal means is okay, but that is a wrong mindset.

The bible says that, we should not be conformed to the mindset of this world, the world has a mindset and God has a mindset, but we should be transformed,metamorphosed;a marked change in appearance,character,condition and function, a total change from inside out. Romans 12:2

Without this change you cannot comprehend what the will of God is.This is a process, it’s not magic but a change that occurs when you come in contact with the word of God and yield to its working in your life.

Paul further stated, let this mindset which was in Christ be in you. This attitude; Philippians 2:5 and in 1corinthians 2:5b says; we have the mindset of Christ.

The word of God is complete, it teaches you the mind set of Christ and that’s what a believer should possess. It teaches you Gods mindset on business, relationships, love, marriage, success, money and so on.

Take time to develop the right mindset for success, the book of Matthew 6:22-23, puts it better, “the eye is the lamp of the body, if your eyes are sound, your whole body will be full of light, but if otherwise it will be full of darkness”. Simply put, your sight of life, determines the direction of your life.

DEVELOPING SESNSES FOR SUCCESS PART 1

Deliberate training is very vital for success in life. Show me any successful man today, I will show you a man who exercised himself into it.

Success is achievable but a lot of time, must be put into self-development. Knowing your purpose is just a start; the real work begins after you discover your purpose.

The grave is filled with the decayed bodies of men and women and kids, somewhere aborted, some had the chance to grow up but never discovered their purpose in life, some who discovered their purpose never fulfilled it and died frustrated.

You are already 18 and over, and you still have no sense of purpose, you spend your time and resources recklessly like the prodigal son in Luke 15, you have little or no thought about your life and your future, you need to grow up and take charge of your life.

Christianity is not synonymous with stupidity. Sometimes when I speak to some people about their lives and what plans they have, I usually hear this from their mouths “when we get to that bridge we will cross it” that should not be the statement of a man with sound mind.

The teaching of Grace is misunderstood and people now sit back and do nothing about their lives, expecting that God will make it work. The building of your life is a partnership with you the Holy Spirit; you have a vital part to play.

Ecclesiastes 9:11-12 “I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.12 People can never predict when hard times might come. Like fish in a net or birds in a trap, people are caught by sudden tragedy.

Believers quote this scripture when they want to give excuses about their situation. This is an observation by a man called Solomon, the fact that the fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, doesn’t mean it’s wrong to be fast, or that the wise sometimes goes hungry doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be wise or that the skillful are not necessarily wealthy doesn’t mean you should be unskilled and that those who are educated doesn’t always lead successful lives doesn’t mean you should be dumb and uneducated.

Its Gods will that you should; Work hard and be the fastest runner and win the race; Be the strongest warrior and win the battle; Be wise and have food ,Be skillful and wealthy; Be Educated and successful.

Preparation precedes opportunity. There is time for everything, don’t trade your period of training and preparation for pleasure.

There is an appointed time for your opportunity; because we are not prepared we get caught up by hard times and the end is tragedy.

The bible speaks of Job as a man who took nothing for granted, that he always made sacrifices and atonement for his children in case they had committed sins;

Job 1:4-5; “Job’s sons would take turns preparing feasts in their homes, and they would also invite their three sisters to celebrate with them.5 when these celebrations ended—sometimes after several days—Job would purify his children. He would get up early in the morning and offer a burnt offering for each of them. For Job said to him, “Perhaps my children have sinned and have cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice”.

Don’t wait for the situation to arise before you make resolutions, Just like Job, be resolved about your values, even before the trouble comes, It was Jobs regular practice…

David was in the bush fighting lions, tigers and bears not knowing that God was preparing him to defeat Goliath, and face the the years of trouble that king Saul was going to put him through and finally to be king over Isarel,though he was anointed king, he still had to face troubles.

The anointing is not guarantee that you won’t have troubles; in fact the anointing attracts troubles. The palace is not the place for the test of your purpose but the wilderness.

John the Baptist spent time in the wilderness, preparing for a call, bigger than him, he lived his life fulfilling purpose, and when he was done he died and even his death was in his purpose.

Paul was a man conscious of his purpose, 1Corinthians 9:24-26; “don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! 25 All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.26 so I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing”.27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.

Most people live their lives aimlessly, without any goals, forgetting you are in a race. There are some vital points we must meditate on in this few verses:

· Realize that you are in a race, and only one person gets the prize and a lot of lives depend on you getting the prize.

· Don’t run without a goal, you should have a goal in life, Paul said Run to Win.

· Be disciplined in your training, give time to your training and keep to it.

· Your prize is not earthly but eternal

· Run with purpose in every step, live a life of purpose, don’t live anyhow, as one without an aim, and don’t waste your life.

Like Paul make a commitment to discipline your body to do what it should, God created you for a purpose, don’t mess it up.

Jesus spent thirty years in training and preparing for a three years ministry, why would God take you through so much pain sometimes, you need to realize that your purpose is not all about you but others. Your purpose is bigger than you.

Jesus went to the wilderness for forty days and was tempted by the devil Matthew 4.The wilderness is part of your training experience.

Hebrews 5:11-14; “ There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen.12 You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food.13 For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right.14 Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong”.

The writer couldn’t explain much since the listeners were spiritually dull; slow of learning and understanding, this is not the name of a demon, but this is a problem that I see in my conversations with people in the church and the society. People are so dull and dumb, they are slow to learn.

Do you know you can deal with this problem by receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of praying in tongues? The bible says in Jude 20; build up yourselves in your most holy faith praying in the Holy Ghost, people who spend a lot of time praying in tongues are not just only mentally sharp but spiritually active.

Since they are spiritually dull, their growth is stunted. Imagine giving birth to a baby and after 5years it’s still an infant, that’s what Paul is saying here, “you have been believers so long, now that you ought to be teaching others, instead you need someone to teach you, again the basic things about Gods word you are like babies, who still need milk and cannot eat solid food”

Milk is okay if you are a babe, but when you have grown teeth’s and is supposed to be a man; you still want the kind of milk from the mother’s breast? We must understand that when the bible speaks of milk here, it’s not referring to all kinds of milk, but the milk developed by a pregnant mother in her breast especially for her baby.

But solid food is for the mature, and Paul defines the mature as “those who through training have developed the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong”.

The amplified bible says “those who have trained their senses and mental faculties”

The human being has five senses; Eyes (sight), nose (smell/perception), Ears (hearing), Tongue (taste) and the skin (touch).

The human being has six main mental faculties; imagination, intuition, perception, memory, will and reason.

Why would Paul stress these if they were not important and why did God put all these faculties and senses in us if it was just for nothing.

These are very vital for your success in life.

Don’t be spiritually useful and earthly useless, how can we actually represent God in our different fields if we are dull, start working on yourself today.

YOUR SIGHT AFFECTS YOUR HEIGHT

Vision is the ability to see.

It is a mental image produced by your imagination.

It is also the ability to see into the supernatural.

Vision is the basis for success in life, failure is certain without vision.

Today most transactions are carried with the sighting of your identity card, without sighting nobody freely does any kind of transfer. With the physical eyes you sight clearly, but to be successful you need more than your physical eyes, you need mental eyes.

Our physical eyes are limited but our mental eyes can see far and beyond what the physical eyes can see, through the use of the mental faculty called the imagination.

Proverbs 29:18 “where there is no vision, the people cast off their restraints”

Vision is vital for good leadership; every leader must have a vision to lead well.

Look at the world today; things go crazy because of lack of leaders with good vision.

Vision helps you to focus, without a vision you cannot focus and with that you will not be able to hit your target. So ask yourself this question as you read this blog “what is my vision”.

Men without vision are blind men. Imagine been led by a blind man.Try take a walk out in the streets with your eyes closed, and tell me the feeling, injury or death is certain.

God told Abraham in Genesis 13 “look, as far as your eyes can see” God can only do as far as your eyes can see, he was saying to Abram, see beyond your physical eyes, see beyond the natural, put your imagination to work.

Our God is able to do exceedingly, above and beyond what we can ask or imagine.Eph.3:20

Before you build a house, you have a mental picture of that building, then you meet an architect, he draws and designs the picture on paper, that design stands as the guide for the building of that structure, but first you have a mental picture.

The same thing with your life, you must have a mental picture of your future or the kind of future you want to have, then you write it down, draw up a design according to principles, without this deliberate steps success is not achievable.

Sight is vital for success. Success is not achieved by chance; there are deliberate and conscious steps that will get you there.

Success is a continuous process of praying, planning and executing. Just praying alone isn’t enough, you must move from your knees to the table, then out to the field, then back to your knees again, then the table and to the field, it’s a continuous process of life.

POINTS TO NOTE ABOUT VISION SUCCESS

There is no magic about been successful in life, like I earlier mention, it’s a choice to succeed and it doesn’t happen by chance.Sucess is a journey, a process.

There are different kinds of success but I am talking about the good success.

Joshua 1:8; the word of God is the best guide to get good success or Gods success. Gods success must be achieved Gods way.

1. Your position affects your vision :Genesis 13:14 “lift up your eyes from where you are and look”

Sometimes we allow our condition to determine our position.donot take a permanent position over a temporal condition.

God told Abraham from where you are, your position might be poor today, broke today, sick today, frustrated today, but don’t allow it restrict your sight.

Lift up your eyes, stop looking down on yourself, life up your eyes and look.

God will only give you what you can see. Genesis 13:15.

A man who wavers in his mind will not receive anything from God; keep your focus on your vision, look. James 1:7, 8.

Keep your sight on the perfect law of liberty; the word of God. James 1:22-25

Maintain the right network “evil communication corrupts good manners” you cannot be a success hanging out with lazy and visionless people, who have no plans for their lives.

Stand on the mountain and keep watch Habakkuk 2:1

2. Write the vision and break it down: Habakkuk 2:2

Before you begin talking about it, write it down and make it plain on tablets.

That’s exactly what the architects helps you to do, when he designs your building plan.

Any vision not written down may not be achieved.

Every successful man or organization is guided by his vision and mission statement.

What is your vision and mission statement?

The vision is the big picture, what you want to be in life, but the mission clearly begins to step by step define how you will achieve the vision.

In doing that, you begin to set goals for yourself.

They could either be short term goals and long term goals, for your business, family, academics, ministry and life.

This is the stage were you plan how you will achieve your goals.

Even our father God has a plan Jeremiah 29:11 “for I know the plans I have for you, declares the lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future”

God’s vision for humanity is clearly stated and defined.

If our father has a plan, then we must sit down and do same.

He, who fails to plan, plans to fail.

FACTS ABOUT VISION Habakkuk 2:3

3. It’s for an appointed time; there’s a time appointed for the fulfillment of the vision.Ecclesiates 3:1, 11; makes us know that to everything there is a time and a season, and he makes all things beautiful in its time.Dont fret, God is always on time, He never fails. In God there is no African man time, or British time but An Appointed time. Your appointed time is coming.

4. Delay is not denial; the fact that it’s taking time doesn’t mean it will not happen. “it may linger, wait for it, it will certainly come “

It may linger, but Wait, it won’t delay.

When a farmer plants a seed, the seed doesn’t just start to grow, but there’s a period of waiting, because the process of germination must take place. During the waiting process before it turns a tree and begins to bear its fruit, the farmer will water the plant, prune it, and weed it, so that the seed will grow into a fruitful tree.

A farmer doesn’t just plant a seed and go to sleep, the waiting process is also a working process.

A pregnant woman waits for a period of 9 months before she puts to birth, that period is the period of growth for the unborn baby, so the mother must go for constant checkup’s, eat the right food and keep healthy, cause this will affect the baby’s health. The waiting process for her is not a period of inactivity.

So it is for the child of GOD, there is a period of waiting, but during this period you pray and involve yourself in activities that will bring about the achievement of your goals.

Job in his period of test said “I will wait until, my change comes”

Isaiah 40:28-31; clearly shows us what happens in the period of waiting; our strength is renewed as the Eagles.

Success is a continuous process of praying, waiting, planning, executing and achieving.

But it all starts with a Vision.

For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently . 1 Corinthians 10:13.amp.

The reading and study of Gods word is very important and we should take to thought carefully words when used,so we dont interpret out of context,cause one word,misunderstood can completely cause a total misunderstanding of the intent of that scripture.

i would like to begin by clearly defining and telling the difference between a temptation and a test.I have heard people using them interchangeably but from my studies they don't mean the same thing.

A Temptation is something that seduces or has the quality to seduce;

the desire to have or do something that you should avoid;
the synonym for temptations is Enticement.
the verb for temptation is tempt: which means ,Provoke someone to something through(often false or exagerated) promises or persuasion.

The main idea of any temptation is to make you sin,or do something wrong.

AUTHOR OF TEMPTATION

The main author of temptation is satan the devil.
Matthew 4:3
"And the tempter came and said to Him, If You are God’s Son, command these stones to be made [loaves of] bread."
How do we know he is the tempter,in verse 5,he is actually called by his character
" Then the devil took Him into the holy city and placed Him on a turret (pinnacle, gable) of the temple sanctuary"

He is the author of all your temptations.

Satan main tool for his temptations is the things of this world,the things that appeals to the flesh.

1John 2:15-17 :

15 Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things]--these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself].
17 And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever.

He tried to entice Jesus with the world and the things in it;

James 1:13-15,gives us a clear picture about temptations

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of
being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one.
14 But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).
15 Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.

God is incapable of being tempted by evil and tempts no man;that means anything that tries to seduce you to sin isn't from God and God cannot tempt anyone with evil.God doesn't use Evil as a tool.God cannot tempt any man.

James 1:17:
.17 Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down
from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].

1John 1:5:
5 And this is the message [the message of promise] which we have heard from Him and now are reporting to you: God is Light, and there is no darkness in Him at all [no, not in any way].

There's is absolutely no darkness in God and God is incapable of using Evil to tempt his children or man.

Evils speaks of anything bad.sickness,pain,poverty,death,lies;think of anything that's evil its not from God.Every good and perfect gift comes from God.The devil cannot produce good, there's no good in him.

Satan uses our passions and lusts as baits to tempt us;James 1:16

We must direct our passions right.Desire is a good tool for success,without desire you can not achieve anything.Desire is a drive to succeed.But Satan can also use those desires and get us to do wrong.

Matthew 4;Jesus just finished a fast and was hungry;a desire for food at that moment, Satan used that as an opportunity to entice him to do his purpose.

There are people who were caught stealing and when asked why,they say its because of hunger,Hunger in itself is not a bad thing its essential for growth,but you can satisfy that hunger either through the right or wrong way.

The desire to have sex,is a good desire but there's a proper time to fulfill that desire and it should be only in marriage,but unmarried people have the desire to have sex,so when that hunger comes,you want to satisfy that part of you,so Satan brings the idea into your mind,when you put that thought to action,you sin against Gods word.

this is where self control comes in,the ability to delay gratification.Success in life is achieved,when you delay gratification.

Let your desires be after the word of God,and constant fellowship keeps you in check.

Colosians 3:2-3;

2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.

3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.

The result of yielding to temptation is sin and death;not necessarily physical death but it affects the communion you have with the holy spirit.

A very clear example is the story of the temptation in the garden of Eden. Satan will always ask you to do something against God and his word. Genesis 3; the result of Adam and eve yielding to the temptation by Satan the serpent cause a break in fellowship with God.

We need to know that Satan is the most trickiest fellow that has ever existed;we should not be ignorant of his devises;one who is called the father of liars.2Corinthians 2:11;John 8:44.
He is the serpent and the serpent is one of the cunniest creatures God created;Genesis 3:1;Revelations 12:9;Revelations 20:2.
He is your Adversary; 1Peter 5:8 (an adversary is someone who offers opposition), Satan opposes anyone and anything of God.
Satan is after you;believe it or not,he is.

A Test is ; trial of of something to see if it works or how it works;
Any standardized procedure for measuring sensitivity,memory,intelligence, aptitude or personality;
A set of questions or exercises evaluating skill or knowledge.

The main idea of a test is to bring out the best in you.You can only come out better after a test.

Genesis 22:1 " AFTER THESE events, God tested and proved Abraham and said to him, Abraham! And he said, Here I am. "

God tested and proved: to prove here means to ;Establish beyond every doubt.
So a Test ,proves you beyond any doubters that you are what you are.

We see the story of Job,his situation was both a test and a temptation,why?
Satan's intent was to get Job to sin and Gods intent was to prove Job beyond every doubt that he was what God said he was.

If we remember,God had boasted about Job and every time we confess what Gods word says we are,Satan the tempter always wants to tempt you and God allows him cause our word must be tried.Job 1,2.

In the trial of Abraham we don't hear satan participating at all,it was all of Gods intent to promote Abraham.
Genesis 22:13-18 ,Abraham passed the test and he was promoted to a new level in God,he discovered a fresh revelation about God.

In your walk with God expect to go through trials and temptations.James 1:2-4;

2 Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are

enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.

3 Be assured and understand that

the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.4 But let endurance

and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

Understand a test is the proving of your faith...produces qualities that will be useful for your christian walk.So consider it Joy,cause at the end you will be prepared and lack nothing.Dont cry when you are tempted or tested but be glad and rejoice.

Finally;
according to 1corinthians 10:13;

Temptation is a common thing,don't make it a big deal.Everyone goes through temptations.
You can handle it;God knows you can handle it,hence he picked you for that one;God trust his grace in you.
God is faithful;He will not let you fall..Psalms 121:3
Be assured there a way of escape,this doesn't mean weakness,but in the temptation God gives you a way by which you capable,strong and powerful,you are able to bear up under it.

Don't be afraid God has you covered,what you are going through its just a test and it will make you better.Maintain your joy,cause the end of it is progress.

Gold when put through the fire only comes out better.

1Peter 1:6-7;

6 [You should] be exceedingly glad on this account, though now for a little while you may be distressed by trials and suffer temptations,

7 So that [the genuineness] of your faith may be tested, [your faith] which is infinitely more precious than the perishable gold which is tested and purified by fire. [This proving of your faith is intended] to redound to [your] praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) is revealed.
