Over the weekend of January 12th, my wife and I spent 3 days in Cherokee, North Carolina. She hit the casino while I spent the weekend fly-fishing and geocaching. I just got back from doing two geocaches. Both geocaches are located in Kelly Road Park near Apex, in North Carolina. The first one I did was Did The Beaver Do It?. My day off each week for the past two years has always been Wednesday. It was ok, a nice break in the middle of the week. Geocaching to me is much more then just going somewhere and finding something that somebody else has hidden. Sure, that is the nuts and bolts of it, but to me it encompasses much more then that. I love seeing natures artwork, rocky landscapes, leaves covering a trail, a quiet stream meandering nowhere particular. I went geocaching last Wednesday and brought the camera along. It was unseasonably warm and made for some sweaty caching. Went for three but only managed to find one. That's about my average.
