Welcoming Friends & New Friends in 2012

On New Year's day, we had a family friend come to visit. Food preparation had already begun in the early morning. Albert and his long-term girlfriend Fay Ying arrived at mid-day whom my parents haven't seen in quite a while. Everyone gathered in the dining area, where we had typical Malaysian food and deserts, whilst Albert talked about his current work experience at the hospital. He is a newly qualified doctor, currently working in Basingstoke NHS Hospital as a F1 (Foundation one) junior doctor. Hearing from his speech, it seemed to be a difficult and exhausting job, yet, a very interesting experience. Dad also talked about his secondary school life with Albert's dad, when at the time Albert's dad contemplated making an album with his bad. We all had a good laugh. By 3:30pm, they were ready to leave and I went together with them, as I was meeting Froz, his girlfriend Ellen and a few of his friends in Central London.

I arrived on Oxford Street at around 5pm, where Froz and I arranged to meet. I've known Ellen for a while, but it was the first time we met, as she studies in New Zealand. She only came here till Feb for summer holiday in NZ. It was very gratifying to see both of them. I also met 3 other people on the night - Larry, Stanley and his girlfriend, who studies in the States. Froz had already bought London Eye tickets for us, however, the rain came pouring from the sky. It wouldn't be phenomenal but they insisted to go as Stanley's girlfriend was leaving the following day. It was a 25 minutes ride and we managed to see some breathtaking views. We then headed to China Town for dinner before we went home.

I met up with the four again on the next day. A better and warmer day, though I didn't meet them till like 5pm again. But this time at the British Museum. Sat down outside for a while and had a hot chocolate!

After collecting Stanley's rack bag, we set off to a Korean restaurant that they found earlier in the afternoon. Check this out, proper scrumptious dinner that we satiated ourselves :D

After dinner, we were ready to leave for Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park!! When we arrived at Winter Wonderland, Stanley had a go at this throwing game to win a prize. He was given 5 balls to throw in a basket, at least 3 had to be in in order to win a big prize. Guess what, pro Stanley got 4 out of 5 - he won a large soft toy! Unfortunately his girlfriend had already left, so at first, the soft toy was given to Ellen, but then they thought about it and decided to give it to Larry's 'goddess' hahaha!! We also went on this fast ride. It was hilarious and we laughed until our belly hurt on the ride!! Just before we left, we all had a go at playing basketball to win a prize. It was quite a distance and high, the hoop was also not as big as the normal ones. We probably had about 20 shoots and only I got one in haha I had the last 2 balls, got the second last in... DOOM DOOM DOOM DOOOOOOM..... a lot of pressure on me!! SHOOOOOOOOOOOT! BUMMER!!! Hit the hoop, almost got in ><"

I wasn't intend to stay at their hotel, but they successfully convinced me to stay with them. So we determined to stay up the entire night to chat and play games. However....... as soon as we arrived at the hotel, Stanley promptly jumped into the bed and zzzzzzzzz like a pig. Though, he promised he'd wake up in an hour. You don't need to guess... Yes that's right, he never woke up! =____=" Larry and I then went to Froz and Ellen's room, where we were having a jovial chat. Soon after, Ellen began to fall asleep! So that's 2 down! Larry and I sat down on the sofa, talking about ancient Chinese films and Chinese history, whilst Froz was on his laptop. You may find it weird, but I have a predilection for Chinese history!! Chinese has at least 5,000 years of history and stories like The Three Kingdoms, the first emperor of China, the Qing Dynasty, the last emperor of China and so forth; it's absolutely remarkable! Until 0300, Larry began to feel sluggish, in a languid voice and told me "you have finally beaten me". Froz and I were still active. Well, what can I say... Malaysian people are generally nocturnal. I didn't let Larry to sleep and kept irritating and fidgeting about. Poor him, crawled in a corner like a drunk person and finally passed out on the floor haha!! Don't play "staying up" game with me cus I reckon I am invincible ;D

I have a lot to look forward to this year. Attending my eldest sister's wedding in December, meaning I will go to Singapore :O meanwhile, I will also go back to Malaysia ahhhhh I'm absolutely thrilled about it!! And hopefully I will be working for HP. Also, I might be traveling in Europe with my uni friends at the end of the academic year. Thinking of going to Spain, Germany, Sweden and perhaps again Denmark to see my wonderful Danish friends XD hope I can save enough money for these trips!!

DEFINITE!!

Jeez... It's been so long and last night, I started to realise how much I miss blogging. I can't believe I have abandoned my blog for months! I broke my promise, as I promised to update. I feel so bad and hereby to apologise to my blog - please will you forgive me? :D and also a sincere apology to my followers. I have missed you all. I will now start visiting your blog and of course keep my blog updated every now and then, hence the title of this post - DEFINITE!! - as in I DEFINITELY will do what I say.

I stopped blogging because a lot of things have happened to me in the past months, both good and bad. My granddad passed away the end of May :(( he was my last grand and now I don't have any. My parents immediately took a flight back the following day, but I was unable to go back and attend the funeral, as I was preparing for my final exam and finishing off my final assignments. It was tough - I wanted to go back to see him for the last time, but I couldn't; I felt so guilty. I didn't study much and do much, but managed to passed everything anyhow, fortunately. To show my sincerity, I have made a Facebook page in memory of my grandpa.

Other than the death of my grandpa, I was also busy applying to universities. I never intended to go to university this year, it was the last minute decision. Nonetheless, I got into the University of Central Lancashire, direct entry to 2nd year doing undergraduate in Marketing Management :D I was over the moon when I found out that I got accepted.

My university is located in Preston, near Manchester. It's pretty far away from London - 2 hours and half journey - and the train is very uncomfortable that causes me to have motion sickness every time I go on it. So I only go back to London once a month. Honestly, I have not been working hard at university; I always procrastinate and my results are average. Until I found out that my university offers a free Masters degree if any students obtain a first honor in their undergraduate degree. I regret not working hard. For my New Year resolution I will strive hard to achieve good results and find a year long internship in a firm, so that I have money to attend my eldest sister's wedding in Singapore at the end of 2012.

I will do a new year post tonight. Come back tonight if you're around, or still remember me... haha... or else come back whenever you remember me!! :))

Prince Williams met his university's sweetheart Catherine Middleton while studying at St Andrews University. The pair have been together for years and finally got married last week. How would you feel when you are actually a commoner and one day, you step in the monarchy of United Kingdom and to become future queen of England? It's a big change in life!

I went to see the couple's appearance on the main balcony of Buckingham Palace with my girlfriend. The crowd was incredible; we could barely move. I took a few photos to share...

Farrrrkkkk!!! My blog has been dead silent - my apologies, I haven't been on here in ages! My life is proper busy at the moment; aside from assignments, nothing has been going on much - the same old me :) Hope everyone is well.

My girlfriend paid a visit to celebrate my birthday for the past few days. We also attended Adam's 21st party, as his birthday is a day before mine (but I'm a year older). Oh and we "sorta" attended Prince Williams and Kate Middleton's wedding lol :p will upload all the photos tomorrow hopefully... There will be tons, so stay tuned yeah!

It's been a long day for me... gonna take a good rest now and enjoy the last 50 mins of my birthday :/ more than 100 people sent me birthday wishes. I am absolutely overwhelmed by all the awesome birthday wishes o(n_n)o friends from Malaysia, Singapore, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Japan, Australia etc... but feel so old now lol :(( shittttt reminiscing of me monkeying around with my cousins and childhood friends like a nuisance. Now, I gotta prepare for uni and stuff... Not looking forward to growing old, but looking forward to uni ^.^

Everyone must have heard of the unprecedented disaster in Japan. After what had happened in Australia and New Zealand recently, and now Japan, this leaves us bewildered with a big question: is the world going to end in 2012? Based on Mayan's prophecies, the world will confront "expected" natural disasters before doomsday on the 23rd of Dec, 2012. Yet, NASA insists no sign is being shown and therefore it is a hoax. Hmmm... I'm not gonna blabber too much as I don't believe any of them lol I just think they all talk bullshit to be honest :p

Anyway, my heartfelt condolences to the Japanese people :(( may peace be with them and to all of us.

Apologies for the tardiness update of my blog. Just been busy with my life at the moment - work, college, uni and stuff. 2 days ago, it was my 9th year "anniversary" of staying in the U.K haha not that very important to be honest. In retrospective, I was young and daft when I first arrived in London, had no goals and ambitions. I am now a grown-up man with a great future ahead to look forward to. Whilst I was away with my girlfriend, I found out that my firm choice, University of Central Lancashire has offered me a place. I was delighted and over the moon! I literally was like "OMGGGGGGGGG", proper loud xD I'm still waiting for a reply from my insurance choice, The University of Gloucestershire. To be honest, they both offer different courses - Marketing Management at UClan and Advertising, Marketing and Communications at Gloucestershire. I prefer advertising more, but UClan has higher percentage of getting a job after graduation. It's gonna be a tough choice. I will however try to negotiate with UClan to see whether I am able to change my course to Advertising, Marketing and Communications. I was going to apply for that but one of the admissions tutors said that my current course does not fulfill the course requirements. Hmmm.... I'll see what I can do :)) But tuition fees is pain in the neck! It's already expensive enough without having added daily expenses in. I'm well skint!! :((

Adam booked a studio at his uni (London South Bank University) for photo-shooting instead of paying hundreds of pounds for it. We were using Adam's professional camera that he bought last year; the standard appeared to be better than we expected! Just gonna upload a couple :))

YESSSSS I got it !! :D it was a tough choice between HTC Desire and Blackberry Torch. My girlfriend, Kayleigh managed to persuade me to get the Torch, and as a result, I'm happy with it ;D

This is the most expensive phone that I've ever had! The torch is on contract so which makes it much cheaper :p I also bought the white cover case and a screen protector to refrain from getting scratches. I'm absolutely in love with it and literally cannot take my hands off it xDD

Happy Chinese New Year everyone !!

Enjoying your Chinese New Year?? Many red envelops??? I got none :(( haven't celebrated CNY for 8 years =_=" I miss receiving red envelops and visiting relatives and friends... *reminiscing*

As usual, I've been lazy to blog lately :p been doing lots of stuff and places... 2 friends came to visit from Hatfield and Portsmouth on Friday. Joyce invited me to go back to Hatfield with her and Lester, as they were going to clubbing at The Forum, the University of Hertfordshire. The theme was Pimps and Hoes - I immediately agreed to come with out any hesitation :p we got to Hatfield around 9:30pm. We were starving and craving for some Chineseeeeeeee to celebrate CNY. so we got to this restaurant where Joyce always orders her take away from. The female boss was so nice and recommended us a lot of nice food, even told the chef to add extra for us. I ordered enough, but the boss insisted to order roast duck as ducks were just done. We did. It was half of duck =_=" we had so much food that we couldn't finish and had to take away home. Yum yum... delicious food ^^ but final bill was £45.10 =_=" what a rip-off !! we were lured into ordering so much and ended up paying lots !! Damnnnnnnn !! No wonder the boss was so nice and happy lol damn shit !! However, I gotta admit that the food is undoubtedly the best in the U.K !! I will definitely go back there again, but I won't be dumb next time to get lured into =.="

Oops... lately I've been so busy and lazy at the same time... I kept telling myself, "update blog update blog update blog", it just wasn't working =_=" I worked full time last week and also have been busy applying to uni for 2nd year entry. Still haven't sent my UCAS through yet =_=" gonna have to do it as quick as possible!! I've got my first semester results; they were excellent - 3 Distinctions and 1 Merit ;D soooo damn happy with my results ^^ it's amazing when you put a lot of effort into it :))

During lunch break yesterday at college, I was invited to a Korean restaurant nearby for lunch. It was an irresistible invitation, as Korean is one of my favourite food. O...M...G !! It was the best bestest Korean meal everrr !! <33

Rain In London!?!

Rain as in the Korean singer, not the weather lol... A friend of mine - Bea told me about it last night, well, technically early this morning. I didn't believe at first, but then I went on Google and search Rain's arrival.... it sounds surreal, but it's trueeeee!! WOW!! He has been here since the 22nd, today is his last day in London as he's heading back to Korean tonight. Rain was making an exclusive personal appearance at the London MCM store to sign MCM Stark Backpacks purchased at the event earlier this afternoon, 1400 till 1500. I didn't go as I have been told cameras were prohibited. Also, Rain was only available for a very short time and so numbers would have been very limited. However, just 2 hours before the event began, I received a message on Facebook stating:

RAIN wants to meet as many of his UK fans as possible.

Therefore ANY items bought at the store will be signed by RAIN, not just backpacks. This includes, wallets, iphone cases and pouches. However he cannot sign non-MCM merchandise.

I was like WTF?!?! A bit late for the update don't you think? =_=" I would have gone if I knew about it earlier - fuck the work!! Now I've missed possibly the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Rain =_=" But I guess it doesn't matter, as I'm contemplating moving to Korea in the near future. Perhaps after completion of my Masters or might do my Masters thereeeee ;D who knows!?!

Danmark Part 2

After a couple hours of more getting ready and chit-chatting, we all left together for clubbing! Woohoo!! It was a rock club called The Rock, where I met more awesome people! I have to admit that most of the Danish people are so nice!! I did not feel like an intruder nor being a bystander. I enjoyed every moment of it and all the photos are those immortal moments that I cherish <3 but I gotta say that drinks are extortionate! A drink that I bought was 70 Danish Krone, where in London I could buy 3x Jack Danie's and coke! Absolutely insane =_=" nonetheless, it was worthy ^^ I also met Katja (Jesper's girlfriend), Asger (Ane's friend who speaks Mandarin :O) Sally and Sofie (Jesper's friends). It was so much fun and everyone got used to talking English because of me xD

Ane, Anders, Asger, Maria and Johan left slightly earlier. Jesper invited me to stay at his place, so me, Jesper, Katja, Sally and Sofie stayed another hour. It would have taken us approximately 2 hours if we took public transport. Thus, cab was the only option for us as we were exhausted! The following morning, Jesper and I went for a little food shopping and I bought some yummy cakes for the couple ^^ Tak Jesper and Katja~ love you both <33

I wish I could prolong my stay :(( I miss Denmark already!! I will definitely go back there again ^^ Jesper, Katja, Mads and others have promised to come for a visit in London sometimes this year ^^ Jesper and Katja are most probably coming this June. Danmark Part 1

Hej! hvordan har du det? :p my first trip of 2011 was amazing - I love Denmark! First and foremost I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Maria for being the reason why the flight to Denmark was booked, Ane for appetizing dinners and Anders for your company, so thanks guys~!!

This time was 100 times better than last time; I will write in full detail and try to keep it succinct :p I met a handful of awesome people with such great sense of humour, especially Jesper. First though, the first night of staying in Copenhagen, Ane cooked the best dinner that I've ever had in Denmark! I forgot what it's called, but it was kinda like meatballs with this tasty sauce. OMG THE SAUCE!!! I miss Ane's sauce dearly :(( sounds like it's her secret ingredient xD I told her that when I become rich one day, I will hire her as my private chef :p after dinner, we played Bezzerwizzer, a trivia game combining trivia and tactics. Unfortunately, the game was in Danish. Poor Anders had to do all the translations haha! It was such a laugh ^^

Oh by the way, there's gonna be tons of photos and will be divided into 2 or 3 posts ;D

The following day, I woke up earlier than everybody else, so I made breakfast myself. It wasn't the best breakfast, but with Orea, it is never the worst <3 In the afternoon, I left with Anders to get ready for the night at his place, where I met Jesper. Jesper is a down-to-earth guy, who made me feel so welcome! We had lots to talk about, such an amazing guy! After hours of getting ready like women (especially Anders), we were finally ready to go to Ane's place for dinner before heading to the town clubbing. There came another guest from Sweden - Johan =] and of course Maria too! Ane was so thoughtful that her scrumptious dinner satiated everyone's appetite! We took Mads's snake out, played and took photos with it. Mads, who unfortunately couldn't be there with us because his girlfriend is leaving for some course for four months soon - poor Mads! Adam, Charlotte and I met the rest of the people at a local pub, where we eventually ended up clubbing at World's Inn :D £1 per entrance and cheap drinks! First time clubbing in 2011, one word to describe it - BRILLIANT! Although there was a fight, which I thought it was rather funny and stupid :p Security guards had to break them up and threw a few guys out of the club haha~

It's a bit late to wish but Happy New Year 2011~ I hope it has been been good to all of you ^^ I can sense that something good is going to happen on me this year :D a brand new year with good things ahead! A lot of things are in the progress of planning such as, holidays in South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia etc, applying for uni to do my final year of degree, applying for an internship and so forth. I can't wait to explore 2011 o(n_n)o 2011 has to be better than 2010 for sure! I wish everyone the best in this year ;D

I was called to work in the last minute on New Year's eve and I agreed, as I need money urgently! After work, I went straight to Adam's house to celebrate New Year, where there were lots of food, drinks and people. "Older" people stayed in the living room whilst "younger" people stayed in the dining where we played games. It didn't end until 4-5 in the morning; I was knackered! =_="

Boxing Day

Oops, apology for the delayed post! Been busy checking flight tickets online to Malaysia and Korea next year, hopefully ^^ and been busy shopping, sound like a woman don't I? @_@ surprisingly, I've spent hell load of money damn it! Anyway, we don't usually exchange gifts for Christmas in my family. We normally put money together towards fooooood, hence photos from the previous post is filled with food on the table :P so this year, we decided to do secret Santa :)) we listed down things what we wanted for Christmas, and each of us had to pick to buy one without letting the person knows. We did not know who bought what, the receiver had to guess and if the person guessed it right, the giver had to give additional £5 :D only me and sisters participated this "event" XD shopping for women is sooooooo embarrassing! I was wondering around in Topshop for ages and was a bit apprehensive. I just wanted to take down the scarf from the mannequin, but was just too embarrassed to do so =_=" and I had to queue to pay for it as well. I looked kinda edgy and I think my face went all red @_@

Christmas

Did you have a white Christmas? I thought this year would be a white Christmas in London, but it wasn't. Although there was some "leftover" snow o.O sadly, I know a lot of people struggling to have a Christmas that they were supposed to have, due to having to encounter hard times economically, or cannot be together as a family because they are separated by circumstance. In spite of all of these, I hope you still had an amazing time with whoever you spent the Christmas with!

What is Christmas really about though? Is it about what gifts you get? Hmmm... Partially, I'm supposed. It's more about spending a quality time together with ones who are important to you and wishing each other a Blessed Christmas, a joyful time where we celebrate together as a whole family. It's also about showing appreciation of the things we have been given, as well as remembering and forgetting - remember this time, this moment and forget about all the worries and anxieties.

I spent my Christmas with my sisters and a family friend; even though it was just 4 of us, we still had a wonderful time. I don't remember the last time I spent the Christmas with my entire family. Probably 5 years ago or something. It's also the first time ever that my house without a Christmas tree :O lots of nostalgic memories get recalled when I recount my childhood Christmas back in my country. My dad used to own a restaurant, where on Christmas day I had lots of relatives came around to celebrate Christmas together. We combined tables together into a long table, filled with scrumptious food on the table. I can imagine it will be very gratifying if it happens again. We are all grown up now. It's kinda scary, but I gotta say it's our next generation's turn!

A Day In Central London

Just another fun day out with bro Adam. Unfortunately Arnas couldn't make it, as he had to go to work. We went to Tracodero. I never won a jackpot in my whole life and guess what, I won a jackpot at this game, don't even know what it's called XD we met Matt in Soho and went to a bar. Later in the afternoon, Ad and I went to Knightbright - Harrods, one of the most popular branded high-end department stores in the world, where celebrities always shop there! We were hoping to see Avril Lavigne there haha XD we didn't see any celebrities, though, were surrounded by tons of HOT girls! We saw this hot blonde girl, who worked at Chanel department. Coincidentally, when we left Harrods, the girl was walking in front of us and we were like "God! What are the chances!?! It's destined for us!" :P we caught on the same train and I decided to talk to her. She seemed nice and her name was Amber-Leigh ;D me and Ad got off at Leicester Square, where we had £5 per head buffet in China Town - bargain!
