Magic Jack

I started using a Magic Jack this past summer. My cell phone had been cut off and I did not have a phone. Time are tough!

My mom and I usually talk everyday until my cell phone was cut off. But, given the choice between a cell phone and the internet I choose the internet. I can't be without the internet and if my electric got cut off I would probably rig up a solar panel just so I could stay connected to it.

Anyway, my mom wanted to continue talking to me every day so on my birthday she bought me a magic jack. It hooks straight into my computer by way of USB port. I will say that the magic jack is kind of hard for me to answer at times especially if I am surfing the web. I can always call the person back. In fact if I am surfing I just let my voice mail answer it. My computer has a lot of bugs on it and I know it has an effect on my ability to answer calls.I just close the internet or any open programs when I am ready to talk I can even listen to my voice mail on the computer because I get sent an email from magic jack when someone leaves a message with the mp3 file attached in the email. Everybody that I talk to regularly knows about my bugs on the computer gives me a few minutes to call back before trying again.

I hope if you will give magic jack a try it is good if you need another line and the very best thing about magic jack is the price! @ $20.00 a year who can beat it? Nobody that's who. Get yours today I am very glad I have mine and so is my mom :P

I know people who have them on their wireless computers as well so everywhere they go they have their magic jack with them. You can use a head set with them as well. Thank you for reading this.

The subject of health care is on everybody's mind lately. I have a hard time understanding all these victims of too much insurance. Why do people not take more care of them selves and depend less on the health care industry?

Why do people believe they need to consult their Drs. for every single thing that ails them? I am reminded of a comedian named Rita Rudner doing a routine of herself calling her doctor to tell him she is thinking about bending at the waist. Why are people so afraid of their bodies. Why are people so mesmerized about insurance and health care plans?

What pray tell did people do before insurance became a necessity? People talk about the 16,000 people a year who die because they lack health care insurance, yet are silent about the 350,000(and that is a conservative estimate) people a year who die because they do have health insurance and are wrongly medicated or mistreated or even mis-diagnosed! It is really crazy! I can't understand how anyone else can stand it either.

Children or Money what's more valuable?

Every since I became aware of money I have been unable to determine why it is so valued.

The things that people value seem so unimportant. Why is life not valued like gold and silver and even pieces of paper? These things are not even alive.

The people who control the value of money certainly do not care about anyone's life other than their own.

I think humans are totally upside down in their beliefs and in what they value. The stock market report is more important to some than the fact that people are being killed in parts of the world with bombs. Why do we ignore this?

We are so conditioned to be in awe of money and barely even acknowledge the miracle of life. We send our most precious commodity(our children ) to do the bidding of who? The government? And for what? Freedom? The end result being that our children get killed and other peoples children get killed and we feel pride about this?(pride is one of the 7 deadly sins.)

While our elected big shots on both sides make deals behind the scenes that they tell us it is for freedom and so many actually believe this nonsense.

Are the lives of your children worth more than the worthless pieces of paper that we call money? I wonder if there will ever be a mother's uprising?

Concerned About Health???

As the cost of health care increases hardly any notice is going to what causes poor health to begin with.

It is what people take into their bodies that has so much bearing on health. People need good food, fresh air,clean water, and exercise in order to stay healthy.

So many toxic human created chemicals are being put into our food supply with the blessing of the FDA. One in particular that is in so many foods is a chemical known as aspartame. This stuff increases health care cost because it makes so many people sick. Many people are very sensitive to this substance and mark my words it kills.

Health care has become so complicated people don't even know the basics of self care that would help them to avoid high health care plans to begin with.

People live and die even with the most expensive health care. I think if people used their power and simply refused to buy health care insurance of any kind for even one month it would reform the whole system in no time at all. People are afraid and that is the biggest problem we face.

Prayer Power

I am not a religious person. To me someone can be very religious and not have an iota of faith. I choose to follow Jesus. When I was a child the choice just seemed to be pure logic. How could anyone hear of Jesus and not want to follow Him was my childlike thought. Over the years I have found that the most exciting act I have ever undertaken was to seek Him and let Him into my heart..

What is left of us once our body falls way in what we call death? I think our spirit is what is left. What is this spirit? I think that how we have lived our life imprints on our spirit and after our body falls away our spirit will be drawn like steel to a magnet to the place to which we are charged.

In my experience people who pray seem to have the most peace and also get the most done.

Do you pray? Do you feel that there is a God?

My son once asked me, "mom where is God" I said, "go look in the mirror and you will see some of God's work and then go outside and look at the sky and everything else and be amazed cause you will have then seen all of God that your eye can hold."

I taught him the Lord's Prayer. He asked if he should say it when he felt like he was in danger. I said why not say it then and also say it everyday at your own special time of day.

White Death or Sugar Kills

I was out shopping once and ran across one of those booths with tables set up to raise money to find a cure for diabetes. While this must be an honorable chore I think the cure for diabetes is is as plain as the nose on your face. They had a comment card that they give to the ones who donated. I donated so I could make a comment and wrote:

the cause of diabetes: is is imbalance and over use of sugar, salt and fats and the cure: is to stop.

Refined Sugar puts so much stress on the body because it has to turn everything into sugar and there is nothing in it that the body can use. I wonder if anyone knows that rats will not eat sugar. It is because they know it is of no use. Why don't we as a group know this? Because we are being mislead. You have to know this is the major cause of most diseases not just diabetes

It is in the diet. It is in our mouths. It is in our minds. The problem is it is we are ingrained, we are hypnotized, and seduced into believing we want all this pure junk food and pharmaceuticals that are advertised on the media. Children's TV is the worst offender of them all. This is where the rubber truly hits the road of probably a good 90% of disease in America. This junk food ought to be illegal and you should never allow your precious children have it.

Consumers really need to wake up and smell the chemicals in their fru fru artificially flavored and artificially sweetened capachino ....

I just about go out of my mind when I see how much of this stuff people are eating.

No good rant about human nutrition would be complete with out the mention of artificial sweeteners. Which by the way aspartame and all it derivatives turns into wood alcohol in the system which the liver has to try and process this stuff and it is very very dangerous. The damage that artificial sweeteners do to the human body especially growing children is truly ignored and untold. Who is in charge of this? Is it the FDA, The Advertisers or the People?

It is the people who can change this by refusing to purchase this so called food. The people need to take responsibility for their health and stop trusting huge corporations making money off our poor health and choices. I am not against people making money I am just against uncalled for deaths That's right folks hit'em where it hurts... in the wallet. Especially in these hard economical times we owe to ourselves to do everything we can to keep our health and we need to stop wasting ourselves.

Some folks say eating high quality foods is too expensive. I say you cannot afford not to eat higher quality foods. The money you will save on your health will well pay for the higher cost if there is one; In some cases this is not true: many whole foods are very economical.

The answer my friends is that the body needs whole living food. The more ingredients on a package the more you should not buy it. If sugar is the first or second ingredient on the package don't buy it at all. If there is an ingredient that you cannot pronounce or know what it is you ought not buy it until you know what it is. When you read how many grams of sugar are in a product remember a gram of sugar is = to one teaspoon. Measure out what ten teaspoons of sugar looks like before you consume a soda or some other product that has this amount and more and see for your self just how much it is.

If you are reading this because you are over weight or have diabetes or love someone with these conditions. take heed and start reading your labels and learn how to take good care of your self in this way. Refuse to let big companies get away with this form of murder. Don't buy the stuff. Please! It would change practically over night if people would use their buying power.

Space Elevator

Space Elevator humm what a concept. I found out NASA holds competitions to inspire a material for use in making an elevator that goes into outer space.

A team at Columbia University has developed a light weight, elastic, super strong carbon ribbon for this purpose of making the elevator that could pull a person to a space station where ships could launch into outer space without being hindered by the earths atmosphere. They are able to make 1 gram of material per day. NASA wants to place an order for 144,000 miles of the stuff. I wonder how much that will cost.

I suppose it is necessary that we reach out into the universe more than we already have. I used to look out in to the night sky and wonder what was out there. The sky was my own private place. I feel a little crowed out now knowing that NASA is going to reach out in this way. I guess I will have to move over.

Welcome Obama

Although I did not vote for Obama I want to send him my best wishes. Times are very difficult right now and I do not envy the position that he is in. I believe he is a patriot and that he truly does care about this country.

I encourage all who pray to pray for and ask God to bless our new leader. Surely we all want him to be strong and wise as he makes decisions that will affect not only you and me but the entire world.

It does my heart good to see so many of my black friends and neighbors feeling so encouraged and up lifted by this election. The day after the election it was so great to see so many people smiling and in a celebratory mood.

My experience with life tells me I find what I am looking for if I look for good it is there. I know Obama will make mistakes he is after all a human being. Will he be able to keep all of his campaign promises? Has there ever been a politician who did? Let us all be realistic.

In Memorance of 911 Polution Solution

The event of 9-11-2001 at NY City's World Trade Center has caused so much pain to the USA and the world. My prayers go out for all the families and workers who were killed in this tragic happening. I personally never want to forget what happened. If any surviving families members of the ones who were lost are reading this know that my heart goes out to you and that I do not want your family members to have died in vain or to be ever forgotten.

I remember the shock I felt that day when I saw it happening on the TV. Everyone else was just as shocked as I was. I kept thinking how something good just has to happen to make this tragedy have meaning in our lives something that will lift us all up. I made myself a sign and put it on my car that said "Jesus said Love Your Enemy" it was the only thing I knew to do that could express to the world how I felt. In my rear view mirror I could see people waving at me and couples pointing at my sign and kissing and laughing and smiling.

The days after the Twin Towers fell and planes were downed I kept noticing the sky and how blue it was and how sweet and fresh the air outside smelled. I knew for sure that is was because of the planes not flying.

A few months later I heard Yoko Ono's new release of "Give Peace A Chance" she mentioned in the song how blue the sky was after the 911 attack on the World Trade Center. I was so glad that someone had noticed this.

Why not show our respect for the people who died in 911 and make September 11 a day that people do not drive or fly. Let's make something good happen out of this terrible happening let us never forget or fail to notice how this event hurt not only you and me and the people who lost loved ones but the whole world.

I long to see how blue the sky really is and to see the light show of the night sky.

Learning Disabilities Aren't Fun Sometimes

People with learning disabilities(LD) have a hard time with organizing things and for most people with LD it was difficult learning how to read and write, some of them had a hard time fitting in in school and some even after adulthood.

It kinda hurts that sometimes that stuff I write gets rejected. That's okay though cause it just makes me try harder. I know that people want what they want. People with learning disabilities are not stupid and I think they are really the smarter ones. I have many friends and family who are LD all of them are good people many of them have the most wonderful gifts and talents!

It seems kinda odd to me that a dyslexic would even want to write given that it is one of dyslexics most difficult tasks.

I have found a group for Learning Disabilities. It is kinda nice knowing you can talk about how being LD affect our lives.

This group has just been started. There are not a lot of members yet but we think that there are a lot of people with learning disabilities out there that would like to feel like they are a part of a group. Please come share your challenges, gifts and talents.

Laser Interferometer Space Antenna

All my life I have wondered about such things as the origins of the universe.

Questions such as this is what lead to development of The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) it is the first dedicated space-based gravitational wave observatory.

LISA will be studying gravitational waves, ripples in space time, death spirals of stars and, echos from the early universe.

It's pretty interesting research and could find the answers to the many questions we have about how the universe began.

Simple Self Care

We all are concerned about our changing times. There is change going on that makes us feel stressed. A massage would be great to help ease the stress of it all. What if a good massage is not in your budget? Is there something you can do anyway that will help ease the stress?

How about learning what you can do for yourself.

I always tell people living with me if you are looking for a cooking ingredient and can't find it in the kitchen look in the bath room. I mix all kinds of formulas for my skin in my bathroom.

Two ingredients that I cannot do with out are olive oil and apple cider vinegar .

I both eat them and use them on my skin. A theory I have about my skin is that if I can't safely eat it it should not be on my skin.

I add about half a cup apple cider to my bath or use a non breakable cup to mix water with half cup of ACV to splash on my face and body while showering and then put olive oil on my skin before drying off. It makes my skin feel so good. ACV helps to restore the skin's acid balance.

I also like taking milk baths. I pour a cup of milk in my bath water. I have also used heavy cream and have found it is very good. Both will soften the skin.

I also like to mix sea salt and olive oil in a non breakable cup and use it it scrub away dry skin while showering. You want to make sure that you have non slip grips in your tub and shower stall before using olive oil or any oil to bate with because it is so slippery.

Just giving yourself a little bath vacation will do so much to relieve stress. When we do things like this for ourselves it affirms our self worth we need to have self worth in times such as these because it will help us to carry on and face the times ahead.

The better you feel about yourself the more you can reflect your spirit to others. Be kind to yourself think good thoughts. It really does help your fellow human being too be around someone who feels good about them self and knows how to take care.

If it is Not About Love It Is Not Real

Science has proven that there are things happening with the magnetic force of the earth, the poles are shifting the planet is changing. Some scientist have even been reading and deciphering the ancient tablets and have read about a planet that has a 3 thousand some odd years revolution that collides with our solar system.

Will you be one of the ones who closes them self off to this possibility? There is nothing anyone can do about it. I will continue living my life till the end I am sure. I know many will say I am crazy at least. I hope it doesn't happen but if it does I want to make sure I am living an outstanding life right now. I want to reach out to my fellow human beings, friends and family and hold them dear and I want to share the Good News that Jesus came that we might have salvation. This is very good news with the troubling times we may be facing.

I have been reading about all of this for some time and have known about the polar shifts for over 30 years. All the talk about global warming, politics, war, gay marriage, abortion,economic collapse, and ect is just a distraction to keep us thinking all this stuff means something.

I want to say to you all is look to your humanity and your faith in God. Your connection to your fellow human beings is what's important. Love your families and your neighbors and know what your own personal BS is so you can get over it. People with rigid minds will perish the fastest...

I don't compare Myself to Others

I find that when I compare myself to others I am often limiting myself. Just because someone else can do things and not be harmed doesn't mean I can. I am an individual one persons tonic could well be my poison.
I find that looking at my health is always the best first thing for me to look at. Everyday I ask myself questions like:

Do I feel good when I wake up? yes or no
Does anything hurt? yes or no
Where does it hurt?
Why does it hurt?
What am I going to do about it?

At night when I go to bed I say my prayers and then I ask myself anyone of these questions

Am I seeking the Lord?
Am I holding a grudge?
Am I being my best?

I eat a simple diet drink lots of water get up off my ass and do some work. This little routine seems to work for me.

Sexual Liberty

To me my sexuality is my very essence my personal core energy. It is not something I use for random encounter bump and grind type things.To me this personal energy is very special; something that I use to work me, to say what I want to say and, to do what I want for me. I can reach out to others using this energy if I want but it doesn't have to be with my body and it doesn't have to be implying a sex encounter. my sexuality makes me smile it feels good inside of me without anybody else touching it or releasing it. When i feel a build up of my sexual energy if i get too ahh ahh horny, to me that means I have a block and my energy is not flowing if it gets stuck in just one part of my body or causes me to obsess in my thought.

Younger folks may have a hormonal factor working in favor of having a sexual encounter in their bodies but, i tell ya learning to contain that energy and use it for your personal growth and health you really can learn to do anything with this energy. This energy is your creative force instead of always going out and having sex because your hormonal reflex is stuck. Use it to do something else Understand that your body is making hormones let these hormones feed your other body parts because it is good for your health. I said it is good for your health. Your body does things with this energy that help your skin stay young looking and give your muscles energy to burn when you abstain. i am sure all great athletes know this. some important subtle often not even understood functions of the body can not be nourished without these hormonal messages circulating though out the body. This is the real energy crisis!!!

And....We do need to try an slow down the population growth. I know many people would be against this idea. I am not proposing abortion cause I don't think it is good but I think that people need to get control of their own bodies and get more work done on this earth(least the government decide to do it for us)and stop using their sexual energy to waste their own life. People are obsessed with sex. The ancient religions made laws about sexuality to protect life. Maybe they knew something that we have forgotten about the human condition. I believe all the power struggles of the whole world among people are about unbalanced use and theft of this energy. I guess it will take us another 2 thousand years to get it...
I guess to some sexual liberty might mean to be able to have sex any time any where with anyone. Here I am suggesting that self discipline is the real sexual liberty.

To be able to control yourself and your thoughts and actions gives you personal power.

One of the reasons the worlds economy is out of balance is because people are easily seduced. Look at how images are used in advertisement. The suggestion that their product will make you more attractive, give you a better status, more time ect... all of it is seduction and steals your energy.

John McCain's reason for choosing Sarah Palin is about seduction; men see a hot babe and no longer pay attention to what is being said and middle American women can say oh I am like her because I have kids like her and I have a pregnant teen aged daughter like her and like her I don't believe in abortion blah blah blah this is seduction and it steals your energy.

You have energy in your own body that is being drained by this kind of thing. We and our children are being subliminally attacked every time we turn on the TV set. The more you think about having sex the more you are fooled and your energy is being taken from you. I hate it when I hear men and women say about men that they cannot control their sexual needs. That is the biggest lie mankind still believes.

When a man spews his sperm for anything other than for participating in the act of conception he is wasting his life in the most literal sense. Your life will be corrupted if you go on believing that you cannot control your thoughts and your body about sex. Children watch their parents behaviors and they continue the dramas we teach them. When and if we can come to terms with our sexuality we will be at peace.

People say they don't believe in God. Look at what we call man's origin. Look at the philosophy and religions we create and follow. Yet we still can't seem to find the real truth. All religions claim they are the truth. I can only believe what I think is true and not know the truth so it seems cause my belief about something does not always mean it is true expect in my own head. I can believe you are good but that does not necessarily make it so. But, if I think you are good and you know this you may be more likely to create ideas in my head that you are good. Even if you are not just realize that the more your thoughts are led and even controlled by another the less real freedom you have. Our thoughts are very powerful; he who controls the thoughts of mankind rules them.

What Is Love?

It seems everyone wants to seek love. Do we really know what love is? Is love being a doormat? Is war love? What is it does anyone really know?

I have certain references that I think keep me connected to love. I think my first active act of love was when I decided to seek Jesus. I was just a child when I decided to do this. My parents did not attend any regular church. My mom and dad did have Christmas and Easter celebration for us. We had a Christmas tree and Easter eggs. At Christmas time my mom would make a little center piece for the coffee table with the Bible opened to the "New Testament" she cut holly and lay it around the Bible in the shape of a wreath. She talked about the baby Jesus's birth and how he was the Son of God.

All this celebration did not make much sense to me. The rest of the time life was kind of glum I grew to not trust this celebration that only was allowed at certain times of the year.

Anyway at the tender age of 8 years old I decided it was time to go investigate this Jesus guy. There was a small church near my house. One of the kids in my 3rd grade class went to this church and she invited me to come sing in the choir with her. It was close enough for me to walk to it.

My parents were still in bed asleep as I got up washed my face ate some toast and put on what I thought was my prettiest dress the first Sunday I went to this church. I could hear music playing as I approached the building and I followed the sound. It lead to a walk down a cement stair case. I grew very excited as I heard the music getting louder as I ran closer to the door. The door had a big glass window in it and the person playing the piano waved me in. They were singing a song that I knew so I just started singing it with them. At the end of the song the piano player deemed me a soprano and told me to sit in the soprano section.

It felt so good to me to be surrounded by this music and these people everyone seemed so happy and it wasn't even Christmas time or Easter. Several adult type people surrounded me at the end of service and asked me about where I lived and gave me some papers for my parents to fill out and for me to return to them next Sunday. I was so excited about my church experience that I ran all the way home. I burst through the door all smiling and happy and met with the stern faces of my parents wanting to know where I was and what I was doing....

It was a strict rule of theirs that we not leave the house when they were asleep and they were none to happy about me deciding to go to church on my own without consulting them. They knew their middle daughter(me) had an independent streak that none of their other children had. They really wanted to somehow punish me for my disobedience. While they were talking to me about what they were going to do my dear old dad had a revelation about what they were doing which in essences was to punish me for deciding on my own to go to church. My dads and mom's hearts were touched that their little girl wanted to know about God so they decided that my punishment would be to take my mom to church with me next week.

This is my first conscience memory of what love felt like. My family minus my dad got involved in the community thru this little church. My dad would get up and take me to church on cold mornings and when it was raining. Mom and I went sometimes but mom had gotten a new job and she had to work some Sundays. But she made up for thru the week by becoming a "Den Mother " for my brothers in cub scouts and she supported and encouraged in in my pursuit of singing in the choir and also the "Girl Scouts"

What do you teach your child about their sexuality?

Are you afraid or embarrassed to talk to your child about their sexuality? Are you a parent that gives your teenager condoms in case they have sex? Is it o-kay for your child to have sex as long as they use protection? Do you call that sex education? Many people seem to think that sex education is about preventing teen pregnancy and preventing disease. Which of course it is about that but, is that all you want your child to know about their sexuality?

Sexuality is about so much more than having sex. Our sexuality is our life force and personal energy it is with us from cradle to grave and it is about so much more than the sexual act. Our sexuality is love energy, precious, God flowing thru us and the reality of who we are. It is our spirit and, life itself. Touch stimulates this energy which is why a child will die without touch.

The bible teaches chastity not to produce guilt but, to prevent it not to hurt but to heal. The sex act is primarily about reproduction. Humans have turned it into something else. We use sex for something to obsess about, a way of saying hello, goodbye, I hate you, I love you, I feel good, I feel afraid. Others may use it as a way of seeking some other sort of validation. Many people think they can't live without having sex. Ha! What a lie.

How many diseases are present in the human race because of wrongly using the energy of sexuality? Probably much more than just venereal disease is caused by not knowing or having a good understanding of this energy. This energy can heal when it is allowed to flow.

Many people might think I am a very hung up person when it comes to my sexuality. No I am not. I have made mistakes and have not been aware and have been misinformed about my sexuality. When I was young I instinctively knew that there is something very special about sex because so many people of both sexes and all races attempted to engage me in the act of sex. My mother and father didn't have a clue and were too embarrassed or uninformed to teach me. They knew lots of people wanted to have sex with me and tried to make me feel guilty. I truly hope that other parents will get a clue. Understand how children learn from example. Do you have issues? Well guess what you will pass them on to your children because they are watching what you do.

It is so obvious that human beings as a race are still in diapers. We still send our children to fight in wars and kill other peoples children. What is wrong with this picture? Our children are not cartoon action figures. Why can't we just get along with each other and learn and grow? For more than 2000 years we have been fighting. What are we fighting about does anybody know? Are the reasons even valid?

Oh yea we have some scientific progress and we are even using that to kill. We are really good at making bomb and bio-weaponry. Even the drugs for healing that are being developed in laboratories have deadly side effects which people just go ahead and take and die. People please read the list of side effects before you take medication and demand that science do better. Who in their right mind would take a drug for Arthritis that has lymphoma as a potential side effect? Apparently millions with submit to this kind of treatment because drugs like these with the potential to kill are prescribed everyday by millions of people.

Why aren't we focused on developing pollution free transportation and making our food healthy? I guess the powers that be are too busy making money and sucking the life out of the people of the world for anyone to take any real notice.

Large groups of people are beginning to wake up though. It is the people who have the real power. It is really simple if you think about it. What if they gave a war and nobody showed? Are you so unable to control yourself that you need government to tell you how to live and be at the beckon call to send your children into a war. Mothers and fathers need to wake up and see what you are doing and how the family unit teaches it's young to go to war.

In this country the so called Christian right is more concerned about gay marriage than it is the failing economy and the war in the middle east and some I suppose even believe it is a Holy righteous war. The war is about oil make no mistake about that my sisters and brothers. God gave you a brain, I encourage you to use it. Are you going to let some politician seduce you with rhetoric about gay marriage and abortion? If you do not want to marry someone of the same sex than don't and for gosh sakes if you do not want to have an abortion don't have one. Don't believe a government really give a fig about life and death matters when they are allow medicine to be dispensed that kills people and are sending our kids to war, can or will do anything about abortion gay marriage doesn't directly kill anyone so I guess they will prevent it from happening. Does anyone see the irony?
