PPA3 - Picture Perfect Inspiration Challenge

The latest PPA challenge was to use the above photo from Pottery Barn Kids as inspiration for a card. The card below is what I created:

Stamps: Animal Crackers (113395) and Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370)
Paper: Green Galore (101768), Brilliant Blue (10021), Tempting Turquoise (102067), Real Red (102482) and Whisper White (100730)
Ink: Basic Black (101179), Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker (100071), So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker (105114) and Brilliant Blue Stampin' Write Marker (100057)
The Right Tools: Large Oval Punch (107305), Scallop Oval Punch (114889), SNAIL (104332), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), 2-Way Glue Pen (100425), Powder Pals (102197), Mat Pack (105826) and Paper-Piercing Tool (116631)
Finishing Touches: Stampin' Glitter - Dazzling Diamonds (102023) and Brads - Bold Brights (106957)

Cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch base for your card out of Green Galore cardstock and set aside.
Cut 1 x 4 inch strips out of Brilliant Blue and Tempting Turquoise cardstock and adhere to the base of your card using SNAIL.
Cut out a 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of Real Red cardstock and set aside.
On a 2 x 3 inch piece of Whisper White carstock stamp the image of the giraffe from the Animal Crackers stamp set. Use a Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write marker to ink the image, as you don't want to stamp the sentiment with it. Use the Brilliant Blue Stampin' Write marker to ink the eye of the giraffe on the stamp.
Once you have stamped the image, use the Chocolate Chip, So Saffron and Brilliant Blue markers to color it in. The Brilliant Blue marker is used for the star in the giraffe's mouth.
Next, use your 2-Way Glue Pen to color in the star and adhere the Dazzling Diamonds. REMEMBER: do not blow on the cardstock when it is covered with the Dazzling Diamonds. Simply hold the piece of cardstock over your small Powder Pal and gently tap the back of it to get the remaining glitter off of it.
Once this is done, adhere the Whisper White cardstock to the piece of Real Red carstock you have set aside. Attach four Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of it and set aside.
Next, you want to stamp your sentiment. Using "Happy Birthday" from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set...or any other sentiment of your choice, ink it with Basic Black ink and stamp the sentiment on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Now, using your Large Oval punch, line up the punch around the sentiment and punch it out.
Next, using a scrap piece of Real Red cardstock, use your Scallop Oval Punch to punch out a base for your sentiment
Using your SNAIL, adhere the sentiment to the Oval Scallop piece of Real Red carstock and attach two Stampin' Dimensionals to the back and set aside.
Now, you want to attach your image and your sentiment to your card. Remove the backings on the Stampin' Dimensionals and place where you like. I wanted to make this a fun card so I placed my image on an angle.
Lastly, using your Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool, punch four holes in the bottom right hand corner of your card and insert one of each color of the Bold Bright Brads. You are done. Enjoy!

PPA2 - Simple Sketch Challenge Take Two

Ink: Basic Black (101179)
The Right Tools: SNAIL (104332), Mat Pack (105826), Paper-Piercing Tool (116631), Eyelet Border Punch (113692), Word Window Punch (105090) Craft & Paper Scissors (108360) and Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)
Finishing Touches: Black Gingham Ribbon (104832) and black brads from the Vintage brads collection (109109)

Cut a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock in half the long way. You will end up with a piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/4 x 11. Score at 5 1/2 and fold. Cut another piece of Melon Mambo cardstock to measure 3 1/2 x 3 3/4. Set both aside.
Cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock to measure 4 x 5 1/4 and another one to measure 3 3/8 x 3 5/8. Set aside.
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to measure 3 1/4 x 3 1/2. Now you have all of your paper for this project ready to go.
Take the piece of Basic Black cardstock measuring 4 x 5 1/2 and, using the Eyelet Border punch, punch along the bottom of one end.
Next, tie a piece of ribbon around the piece of Basic Black cardstock you just punched and form a knot. Snip the ends to the desired length. Set aside.
Take your piece of Whisper White cardstock, Circle Circus stamp set and Basic Black ink and stamp the various circle images on the piece of cardstock. Have fun with it!
Once you are done stamping, using your SNAIL, adhere the Whisper White cardstock to your 3 3/8 x 3 5/8 piece of Basic Black cardstock.
Next, using your SNAIL again, adhere the Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock to your 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 piece of Melon Mambo cardstock.
You now want to attach this to the 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock with the ribbon you have set aside.
Now, attach the entire thing to the base of your card. We are almost done!
Lastly, using a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and your Basic Black ink, stamp the sentiment "friend to friend."
Center the Word Window punch around the sentiment and punch it out.
Using your Mat Pack and Paper-Piercing tool, poke two holes on either side of the sentiment and attach black brads...be careful as there isn't much wiggle room and it's easy to rip the cardstock.
Once the brads are attached, cut one Stampin' Dimensional in two and place on the back of the sentiment.
Decide where you'd like the sentiment to go and adhere it to the card. That's it. You're done!

Finishing Touches: Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon (109064) and black brads from the Vintage Brads Collection (109109)

Cut a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 Apricot Appeal cardstock in half the long way so you have a piece of cardstock that measures 4 1/4 x 11. Score it at 5 1/2 and fold.
Cut a 4 x 4 3/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock and set it aside.
Cut a 3 7/8 x 5 piece of Nouveau Chic DSP and use the Scallop Edge punch along the bottom edge of it.
Using your SNAIL, adhere the DSP to the piece of Basic Black cardstock you have set aside.
At this point, you want to attach your Basic Gray Taffeta ribbon to the cardstock before you attach it to the base of the card. Tie the ribbon in a knot around the bottom of the DSP/Basic Black cardstock nearest the scalloped edge. Snip the ends to the desired length.
Now you want to attach your Black Brads to the base of the card just underneath the scalloped edge of the DSP. Using your paper piercing pad, template and piercing tool, line up and poke three holes in a row where you will set the brads. Affix the brads to the base of the card and set it aside. Now, you can move on to the stamped portion of the card.
Cut a 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 piece of Apricot Appeal cardstock and set it aside.
Cut a 1 5/8 x 3 5/8 piece of Basic Black cardstock and set it aside.
Cut a 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock and set it aside.
Remove the "body form" stamp from the Chic Boutque stamp set and, using the Jet Black StazOn ink pad, stamp the image on the piece of Whisper White cardstock you just cut.
Now, reink the stamp and, using a scrap piece of DSP paper, stamp the image again and cut out the middle of the form following the dotted lines. With your SNAIL, adhere the piece of DSP to the image you have stamped on your Whisper White cardstock.
Take your Blender Pens and your Basic Black and Basic Gray ink pads and color in the stand of the stamped image. Lastly, using your Apricot Appeal and SageShadow Stampin' Write markers, color in the rest of the stamped image as you wish.
Now, take your piece of Whisper White cardstock and, using your SNAIL, attach it to the piece of Basic Black cardstock you had set aside. Then, attach that to the piece of Apricot Appeal cardstock you had set aside. Lastly, using your Stampin' Dimensionals, attach the stamped image to the base of the card. Add any words or phrases you wish and that's it!

PPA Kick Off Challenge!

PPA's (www.palspaperarts.com) first challenge was to create a card using the colors Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Chocolate Chip. I chose a standard 4.25 x 5.5 card base in Melon Mambo (115320). Layered on top of the base is a piece of Melon Mambo patterned paper from the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP (115675) pack. Next, I took a 4.75 x 3.5 piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock and used Chocolate Chip ink (100908) to stamp it with one of the small flowers from the Eastern Blooms stamp set (111626). Then, I wrapped a piece of Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon (114616) around the center of the Chocolate Chip cardstock and adhered it to the base of the card using SNAIL (104332). The next layer is a 3 x 4.25 piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock (115317). On top of it is the last layer of the card, a 2.75 x 4 piece of Whisper White cardstock (100730). I used Melon Mambo (116329), Bermuda Bay (116329) and Chocolate Chip (100071) markers to color in the tree and blossoms from another stamp in the Eastern Blooms stamp set. For the sentiment, I used a scrap piece of Melon Mambo cardstock and the Large Oval punch (107305) to cut it out. On top of this, I layered Whisper White carstock stamped with "a note for you" from one of the SU hostess sets. It was punched out with the Small Oval punch (107304). I adhered the sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals (104430).
